20 Best Shampoo For Dandruff And Hair Loss (2023 Updated)

Have been suffering from dry, flaky and itchy scalp all my adult life (over 10 years now). Condition usually worsens every winter with central heating etc. Have tried ALL non prescription dandruff shampoos (that doesn’t smell nice and are drying on hair) but nothing ever worked long term.

Last winter had it so bad that had to get prescription from GP, the serum helped for 2 weeks and then my dry scalp was back. Flakes and itchy scalp also made my roots get really weak and hair has been falling like crazy.

For past few years have been using only premium haircare brands but never really considered Kerastase as thought the brand is more to treat hair not scalp. Wish I researched Kerastase earlier. After only 4 times washing hair with this shampoo my scalp looks absolutely normal, not itchy at all and I didn’t find a single flake after towel drying my hair.

Plus hair is soft and nice smelling. Whilst it is expensive for 250ml bottle, only tiny amount is required (I would say 3x less than my regular shampoo) therefore is not that bad value for money. If results will maintain the same, will definitely stick with this.

After 8 hair colour remover sessions, my hair is still in really good condition, my scalp not so much. The Dercos Anti dandruff shampoo is effective from the first wash, having experienced a slightly irritable scalp, I massaged the delicately scented shampoo on my scalp and left it for two minutes before rinsing as directed.

I found that the product thoroughly cleansed the oily roots of the hair and scalp. No visible signs of any flakes and any irritation or itchiness was soothed, and calmed. My dry hair was left feeling smooth, hydrated and looking healthy and shiny.

Double Effect Caffeine Shampoo excellent product!!! I have massive hair loss, even with just a gentle brushing of my hands through my hair. After using this shampoo, my hair loss and dundruff is a lot lesser.

Lovely scent leaving your hair clean, refresh and softer too. Growing hair is noticeably quite quick. My reciding hair line is almost gone. On top of that it’s affordable. You cannot go wrong with ALPECIN.

Always used this shampoo. What it does fgor hairgrowth I do not know but not stopping its use to find out.

Hot is hot! I have learned that leaving the conditioner on for at least a couple of minutes, then rinsing with cool water seems to help a lot too.

From the moment I opened the bottle, I was totally impressed with this anti-dandruff shampoo plus conditioner. Good to know that this is not a generic anti-dandruff shampoo rather a product specifically designed for men who have more oily scalp compared to women.

It has a really nice fresh fragrance. Honestly, I had low expectations as dandruff shampoos are generally dry your hair out. But, I actually noticed a difference in my scalp after the first use which I was very happy with.

I love this shampoo and conditioner. At first when I bought it I thought it was ridiculously expensive for the size, but after using it I don’t mind paying for it. The bottle lasted me about 3 months and I have long thick hair.

Nothing else has ever worked for my dandruff and if it has, it stopped working after a while of using the product. This product kept working and my dandruff was HORRIBLE. It would look like it snowed in my head very noticeable.

This got rid of it 100%. The only bad things are I think it might have been causing me some hair loss, and it takes forever to rinse out. I don’t know if it’s just me but I have to take a long time rinsing everything out or else my hair seems like it sticks together and has a film over it or something.

For that I give it 4 stars.

During my pregnancy and after I gave birth to my child who is now 3 years old I had really bad dandruff. It was soooo noticible and itchy. So embarrasing! 1st I tried the green tea shampoo which did help, but I am one of the ones that don’t like to stick with just a certain type or brand.

I tried many other shampoos that didn’t help. Only made it worse to the point that dandruff even got to the hairline on my forehead. Even much more embarrasing. I started using tea tree oil and it didn’t seem to work so I thought there was no reason to go back to using tea tree shampoo again.

I would not use this daily as it does build up. I use this approximately one weekly and find it gives my fine hair great shine and manageability- Aka makes it feel thicker, less Prone to tangles. Like the title implies it’s a treat not a conditioner.

If I’m going out on a special night I use this for great volume for a blowout and the shine. Hope this helps manage expectations. Also I live in Florida and have oily skin/scalp and can’t bear thinking about not showering and washing my hair daily so can’t attest to a second day experience.

This was literally love at 1st use in the shower! My go-to best shampoo for the longest time has been the Wella Invigo Brilliance Color Protection Shampoo (the red bottle). I ordered this Volume Boost shampoo to try out the formula and I was hooked just from pouring it into my hand! It’s a clear formula whereas the Brilliance shampoo is a creamier texture, with a fabulous light scent.

My hair gets absolutely clean on one shampoo, and when I shampoo 2x in the shower it doesn’t feel stripped or dried. My hair feels and looks great after using this! Like the red Briliance bottle, this shampoo is also great for color treated hair which is very important to me (I’m blond).
