20 Best Shampoo And Conditioner For Aging Hair (2023 Updated)

I was looking for a shampoo + conditioner duo that would add life to my dull and waivy-frizzy hair. When my hair is well-moisturized and healthy my waves are usually smooth, well-shaped and heavy. But when my hair is “tired” then I have puffy frizz instead of waves.

I’ve used this Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture duo three times so far and that is what I noticed: 1. Shine. That’s what came to my attention right after the first wash. 2. Hair became more manageable, and brushing is way smoother after using it; less tangles means less breakage.

3. Definitely less frizz, so I assume it does help with nourishing and moisturizing. I love the smell as well😊, very luxurious. Will continue exploring using this duo as my hair need a lot of nourishing to bring it back to life after previous bleaching and ironing.

I want my smooth and natural curls back.

First off the packaging on this conditioner is perfect the bottle has a twist cap and the product comes out the top. It also has a softer bottle so it’s easy to squeeze out. I hate struggling with getting my conditioner out the bottle and I did not have that problem with this.

The product distributed so well through my hair and it instantly brought moister and helped my hair feel softer after my shampoo stripped the dirt and oils out of my hair. I was easily able to comb through my hair in the shower with this conditioner in my thick curly hair.

My curls felt soft and rejuvenated after a busy week of neglect! The bottle is slightly smaller than the shampoo bottle which I wish was either the same or reversed. Other than that it worked so well in my 3c, 4a hair.

I received this CAVIAR Anti-Aging Replenishing MOISTURE Conditioner complimentary from Alterna to try and review. I really wanted to love this conditioner after my amazing experience with the matching shampoo.

It is a nice conditioner and the scent is lovely. I just didn’t feel like it gave me quite enough moisture for my extremely dry, thick and coarse hair. In all fairness, most conditioners aren’t enough for this hair.

I also wish this conditioner provided a little more slip to help with my tangles. I feel like this would be a great conditioner for someone with less texture and thinner hair. All in all it is a good conditioner, just not a holy grail for my very difficult hair.

I’ve had this shampoo and conditioner from Alterna before in the past but recently got reintroduced to it when I received a travel size as a gift with purchase from an online Ulta order. I actually really liked this shampoo and didn’t find anything wrong with it.

The only reason I didn’t repurchase was because I used it for a while and wanted to try something new. I have very fine and flat here and this shampoo really did add some noticeable volume to my hair compared to others brands.

It’s sulfate free and safe to use with color treated hair. My only complaint is not on the shampoo itself but the packaging. The bottle is really hard and makes it impossible to really squeeze the product out and I feel like there is a lot of shampoo wasted simply because I can’t get it out of the bottle! They need to redesign this because I know I’m not the only person that is unhappy with this issue.

The 8. 5oz bottle retails for $34 so it’s not a cheap shampoo. The bigger bottle is probably a better value at $52 for 16. 5 oz. If you have fine hair like mine and need some volume, I’d recommend trying this out.

I have balayaged hair and this shampoo makes it feel soft and smooth. With the pairing conditioner it really makes a good combo and significantly reduces tangling. I’ve only used twice and have yet to see the long term color hold result, but so far it seems worth it.

I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week so hopefully this will last a while. The packaging is slightly frustrating as it took me so long to twist it open. I might have gotten a defective one but I got it to work.

Taking a star off for the scent – it’s pretty weird because it smells pleasant at first with a brief whiff but after a while it kind of stinks… sort of like the smell you get from a public restroom by the side of the highway.

I can tolerate it but I’m not a fan. Maybe some people don’t notice it but I think it’s fairly strong. Luckily it doesn’t seem to linger and I always use some hair products after washing. Overall I’d recommend for the performance.

I am retired and on a fixed income. I hesitated to buy both the shampoo and cream rinse because of the cost. However, I was desperate because I was tired of dealing with my COVID hair. I came down with COVID in early 2020.

I have long COVID and one of the lasting effects was my loss of hair. It just fell out. The result was thin flat hair of all lengths. I have tried several salon products but nothing improved my hair.

Today I used the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Multiplying Volume Shampoo for fine hair. OMG I can’t believe that my hair feels and looks thicker, there is no frizz, and it is so soft. I also use Caviar leave-in heat protection spray because I use a blow dryer and iron on my hair.

I rarely write feedback for products. This is an exception because of the results of this product. Amazing product.

Let me start by saying, I love love love everything Andalou. Their skincare cannot be beat! I was thrust into another shampoo search when my go-to decided to reformulate, and it hit me that I’d never tried Andalou’s shampoos.

My hair is frustratingly thinning, natural straight hair. I do tend to be on the oilier side, so I only shampoo every other day. I have found that for some reason, when I shampoo with this and rinse it out, my hair takes on a very straw-like feeling even though it’s wet.

I feel like this shampoo is too heavy, and whatever is in it to make it provide volume is too much for my hair. After a shampoo or two, it starts to feel like it’s leaving buildup for some reason. It’s a shame because I honestly did feel like the result was pretty nice, with added shine to my hair.

But second-day hair is baddddd with this shampoo. The sides got super oily, and don’t ever seen to fully wash clean. I decided that I would try mixing it with other shampoos (actually the Andalou Age-Defying one for thinning hair) and that seemed to produce a better result.

I cannot use this shampoo at 100%. I think there’s a chance that the lavender is for some reason irritating my scalp and making it produce more oil than normal, too. Unfortunately, I will not buy this item again.

Will just use it up as best I can to not waste it.

Very pleased with this! It added volume to my long hair without dulling the shine or giving the texture that “dry feel” that some volumizing shampoos leave you with. The fragrance is also quite nice.

Have been using Andalou’s Argan Stem Cell line for thinning hair for years, not because I thinning hair but I have fine hair, and it works beautifully! I now use this new one every 3rd or 4th wash and the combination seems to be adding more shine & volume no matter which shampoo I use! Love this company!!!.

I was given the Trial Size Shampoo as a bonus on an Ulta trip I had previously. I love the Shampoo and how long the tiny tube lasted me (about a month). So I bought the full size Shampoo and Conditioner.

Don’t let the size full you. A little bit goes a long ways. I gave the Shampoo it’s own review so I am going to talk only about the Conditioner here but I have to mention the Shampoo because it’s what brought me to loving the Conditioner.

Im 33, so I’m not exactly in the age range that this product was developed for but I fall into alot of the same categories. I have naturally Platinum Blonde hair, the color people have good money for.

Which means my hair is naturally ultra fine. When I was younger I use to have ALOT of it so my hair looked very thick. However, when I was in about my mid 20s my hair started to thin out to the amount of hair that the average person has.

On top of all of that I also have mixed textured hair. The crown of my head is stick straight and the underneath is curly. 1 pump. I have about Medium long hair it’s past my shoulders but I wouldn’t consider it long, I only need 1 pump to coat my mid length and ends.

I let it sit on my hair while I wash my body and shave and do all of the usual shower stuff then I rinse it out. You don’t realize how moisturizing this Conditioner is until you rinse it out. It doesn’t feel like a super rich Conditioner on the hair in the shower but when you get it under the water and rinse it out oh my, it feels like it is one of those thick rich moisturizing Conditioner rinsing it out.

Once again it won’t feel moisturized while your hair is drying but you will feel it once it’s dried. Given the fact that half of my hair is curly moisturizing Conditioner is important to me because curly hair is very dry and need it.

I am very pleased by these products. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner need very little to do their job and give great results so even though the bottles are tiny, they will last you a long time which in my opinion makes them more cost effective than most Shampoo and Conditioners I have tried which is amazing because this is what is considered a premium product.

So even though I am still relatively young and not apart of the target customer base, I really recommend these products.

I am certainly glad I decided to give these a try! I have naturally straight, fine, medium density post menopausal hair below my shoulders. It tangles with the slightest breeze so slip is important to me to prevent damage.

The shampoo is very runny but don’t use extra – it foams luxuriously with plenty of water in your hair (like ALL sulfate free shampoos will) and leaves my hair very clean. The conditioner is deceivingly dense but melts to liquid when you rub your hands together.

Again – don’t use extra – it spreads incredibly and is the SLICKEST conditioner I’ve ever used. The surprise dark horse is the mask. I actually apply it to my ends while in the shower after conditioning to soaked hair and then squeeze out the extra water and wrap my head in a microfiber towel (so I use it as a leave in).

I’ve also applied a tiny bit of the mask to partially dried hair after liquefying it in my palms and prayer handing it through my lengths. and finally, I’ve also diluted a bit of it in a spray bottle with water to spray on as need for slip or a morning refresh.

All of these are amazing and I don’t see any reason to use anything else!.

How this conditioner made it out of production is beyond me. The twist pump is broken, forcing you to twist off the entire pump from the base and squeeze it out like an uncivilized monster. In fact, this is actually my second time purchasing this conditioner (didn’t recall that until now) and I experienced deja vu because I sent the first bottle back for the same reason.

THE TWIST PUMP WAS BROKEN. That’s two for two. This product literally has a 100% failure rate for me. I have been a loyal Sephora customer for 15+ years and this is my first time posting any review because I am infuriated that a brand would cut corners ($27 for 8.

4oz and the pump doesn’t even work?) and have complete disregard for its customer’s money, effort, and time. If you are on a time crunch and expect to be able to use this product right when you receive it, think again.

I faithfully waited three days for the conditioner to arrive, and now I have to visit my local copy shop, print out a shipping label, and drop it off at USPS to send back. Not to mention wait a few more days to receive my refund.

I love these products! I am so happy to think that I may have finally found the solution to my heartache caused by thinning, dry, frizzy gray hair! Being a hair stylist for over 30 years I have recommended volumizing products but never really felt they worked. I ordered these for an upcoming extensive trip for convenience but tried them out of curiouslity.

My aunt bought me this shampoo and conditioner last year after seeing it on Good Morning America because I was experiencing heavy post partum hair loss and was looking for a vegan shampoo and conditioner.

I LOVE this product! My hair hasnt been falling out, isn’t feeling greasy as often as it was before when I was using shampoos like Pantene or Treseme. And because its a bar it lasts me soo much longer than liquid shampoo/conditioner.

The shampoo lathers up alot, and the conditioner you dont need much at all – which made me learn how much i was over using the liquid conditioner! Highly recommend this product for everyone!.

I’m 52 and have fine, straight, color treated hair that is graying underneath. I have noticed that as I age my hair has become more fragile, so I was looking for something to address that. This shampoo fits the bill.

Now, before I go on, I’m not touting this as some miracle that reverses the aging process, but did I experience a noticeable difference? Yes. I have been using about 7 weeks and my hair is smoother, has less frizz and breakage and it holds much better throughout the day, including my 2nd day hair.

While I’m sure this is safe for all hair types and ages, I’m not sure why anyone under 40 would be using this seeing that it’s designed for aging hair. If you’re over 40, I’d ignore the negative reviews and give this a try.

The bottles are small, only 8. 5 oz, however, still worth the price in my opinion.

I’m a junkie when it comes to finding hair care products that are actually good for my hair. I’ve tried a lot of products and this one really stands out. Packaging is beautiful, SALON LIKE, and it smells amazing, upon first look/smell, I was impressed.

Nothing too fake/ artificial, but fresh and clean. The ingredient list is what impressed me the most and why I chose this product. It didn’t create a ton of suds, but keep in mind there are no sulfates in this product.

I washed my hair twice and it felt so nice and smelled amazing. My husband complimented the smell as soon as I got out of the shower! I noticed when I was blow drying my hair how smooth it was. Obviously, I will continue using this and see how my hair changes over time! So excited!.

Well. ca was kind enough to send me a deluxe sample size of this shampoo and conditioner. I didn’t know anything about this brand before trying it out. While I was blow drying my hair and lightly styling it with a ceramic-barrelled round brush, I noticed my hair was much shinier and thicker and was very easy to style.

It really did behave more like my hair when I was much younger. I don’t know how often I would actually buy the full size of the shampoo and conditioner with their prices but maybe I’ll treat myself occasionally and keep these products to myself (my daughter already has young, beautiful hair!! Lol) so they last a bit longer.

Love everything, but the price does make it hard to justify.

RE: ROUX Shampoo & Conditioner I have dermatitis of the scalp. I found these (2) products do not cause itching & flaking as other products. ROUX Conditioner is not heavy. I can leave in w/o rinsing which gives my hair bounce (it has body and using ROUX Conditioner I can now scrunch my hair into curls while drying).

Over the years I have tried many expensive & OTC products but none have given me the desired results that these two ROUX products have. I will continue to use these products for my hair. Hopefully, ROUX won’t change its Shampoo/Conditioner formula which I find happens to good products that I depend on.

Does what it says! I have super porous hair that cannot hold on to moisture easily. I found that this product helped improve that issue. I used it while also using the Aphogee 2-minute keratin reconstructor though, so I cannot say which had a larger impact.

But the product definitely helps fix porosity issues. My hair is not coloured or permed. Fully natural 4B hair.

I use it for its protein to restore some strength to my hair. I use this once or sometimes twice a month by blending it with my conditioner for a 5 minute treatment. Honestly it works best for me mixed with a protein free moisturizing conditioner.

Or if I am going to color I’ll shampoo, condition with this and use a protein free moisturizing leave-in with lots of slip. The product is useful as long as you build a regime around it in my opinion.

I usually try to avoid superlatives when I review items I have purchased or those I have received complementary but that has surpassed every one of my expectations. I have had several Brazilian Blowouts and Keratin smoothing treatments to get my crazy mix of straight/wavy/curly hair (yes it is confused) under control.

As these treatments are not considered safe while pregnant/nursing I have not had either in over 2 years now. I had been battling frizzy locks and flyways. until I met Nexxus! This shampoo/conditioner pairing is the only one I have found that would smooth out the frizziness and keep my hair under control.

For quite some time I would have “Day 1 hair” when I would dry, flat iron, and primp my hair. and “Day 2 hair” would be a quick fix that I would try to wear again to minimize upkeep because day 1 takes sooooo long.

Now, I can safely and easily air dry my hair, take a flat iron to it to smooth on odd bumps and go on with my day. This pairing does add oil/retain more moisture in your hair so while it does make day-to-day maintenance easier, you should still wash daily (if you plan to war your hair down) as your hair looses volume because it gets weighted down a bit but this is not an issue for me.

Nice, light fragrance that I love and my hubby loves it enough he keeps stealing it to use on his own hair as well. He just kept running his fingers through his hair saying “it’s so soft. and smells so good.

” If you have oily hair to start with, this product is not for you. But for those that have trouble managing frizz. this product could NOT be any better. Very impressed! Will buy again.

Great conditioner for dry or aging hair! So many things change as you age; including the texture and shine (or lack of) your hair. My hair has always been super light blonde, very fine but also very shiny and healthy.

Once I hit my late 40’s (I’m now 52) I found my hair got much dryer and started looking dull and lifeless. The Nexxus Youth Renewal Conditioner is just what my hair needed. I use this as my main conditioner every other day and it leaves my hair moisturized and shiny.

Even seems gives it a little bounce. I don’t use much because my hair is so short so it’s well worth the money.

After deciding to let my short hair go au natural, my long time shampoo was no longer doing it for me. My hair was looking flat and dirty-looking the next day, and living in the dryness of Nevada wasn’t helping either.

So while I was buying shampoo for my husband, I saw what I thought was a new Nexxus product–Oil Infinite Shampoo. Since I have a lot of allergies, I always have to smell the product first and I was pleasantly surprised with the Oil Infinite scent.

I purchased both the shampoo and the conditioner, and washed my hair as soon as I got home. I LOVED how my hair smelled that night and the whole next day!!! I saw other reviews how some users said they thought the smell was too much, (maybe they used too much to begin with??), or that their hair seemed too weighty.

I found that if I just used the shampoo, instead of using the conditioner too, my hair did seem harder to manage (curling iron took a lot longer than when also conditioned). But that smell is hands down, one of the freshest scents I have used in a long time, and it doesn’t bother me at all.

(In comparison, I did smell some of the other shampoos from this same manufacturer, and a few of them made me gag). Yesterday, I went to several well-known drug and big box stores, but could not find it on their shelves.

(This is how I ended up searching on-line and writing a review). I was glad to find the names of stores in my area that carry it. I do wish, however, that the matching conditioners for ALL shampoos came in bottles HALF the size of the shampoos, since conditioning requires much less product.

I always seem to have left-over bottles of conditioner that get thrown out if they are incompatible with whatever new shampoo I might be using. I definitely would recommend trying Oil Infinite if your hair is natural (not color treated) or dry.

First off, I have stubborn hair that is neither curly, nor straight, that goes down past my waist. It is heavy, thick, and a mess unless I brush it immediately after I wash it and then moisturize it, but then I cannot brush it again or it will frizz.

I usually have to use a handful of conditioner after shampooing it in order to get it detangled enough to brush once out of the shower. The Superzero shampoo and conditioner bars arrived with very little packaging.

There is very little color to the bars, and the only difference between the shampoo and conditioner bars was the shape, one square and one circular. There was a decent amount of lather with the shampoo, though not as much as the sulfate-filled ones, but that was to be expected.

My hair tends to shed while I shampoo/condition it, so part of my diminished lather could be from strands of hair occasionally getting tangled around the bar as I worked the lather. The conditioning bar worked magic.

I have been at hotels with cheap shampoo, and no conditioner, where my hair is almost squeaky after I wash it, and a tangled mess. I was afraid this would happen with a bar of conditioner. It did not! Even after towel drying my hair, and one go around with the conditioner bar, it was easy to run my fingers through my hair with minimal tangles.

Brushing was even easier. Now. one thing I noticed, is my hair is lighter. I usually thin my hair out with those thinning shears, because the weight of my hair is too much at times. After using the Superzero products, my hair felt as if I had just removed some weight.

I cannot imagine this is due to build up that was on my hair, but I guess it is feasible. Now, nothing is perfect, and you get what you ask for. This product is fantastic, but it does not give me the spa treatment shower that I am accustomed to.

There is minimal scent on the bars compared to “regular” shampoo, and while at first this bugged me when I went to sniff my hair, I realized that I can use something after the fact to make it smell better.

Might I recommend multiple types of bars based on people’s preference of natural? I like natural, but I am willing to trade a little of that for some earthy scents that linger. Other than that, I am sold on the bars (both shampoo and conditioner).

Oh, I did end up buying a rack to put mine on. It would be nice if these were sold with a “starter” kit, and then one could buy just the bars after the initial investment. I was afraid to put mine on a regular soap bar rack, lest my kids confuse it with bar soap :-).

Since I’ve started using Superzero I’ve noticed less shedding and breakage and my hair is softer and shinier. I usually start with conditioner and then shampoo, let the shampoo sit for a bit, and condition again (letting it sit for a few minutes before rinsing).

Before brushing my hair I’ll work argan oil through, let it air dry about 85%, and then blow dry. Kind of time consuming, but ends up saving me frustration and time between washes. I have fine hair but a LOT of it and it tends towards wavy.

I think Superzero is great, though it doesn’t last quite as long as I’d like for the price. Overall, I definitely recommend and will keep buying/using (especially when there are sales!).

I was very skeptical about these bars. I have thick, coarse hair, that’s very wavy, super frizzy and dry, with highlights and couldn’t imagine that it could work that well. Not only does it work that well, it works better! I had been using Olaplex and Kerastase, but, like most, am horrified at what plastic is doing to the planet.

Sooooo, I decided to try this out of duty to environmental causes, and ended up in love! The conditioning bar really works, really, really well. The bar creates a creamy softness that I can comb through and it is just fantastic.

My hair is soft, smooth and shiny. The product is simply amazing. I am so happy this product exists and truly hope it catches on and we can rid the earth of plastic conditioner bottles one beautiful head of hair at a time!.

From lots of hair styling sometimes your hair growth can be stunted and also after after giving birth your hair can tend to thin and shed. so I was looking for a product that would help with the hair shedding that I was facing and some thin spots in the crown and this was a great line to use it really thickened up anything areas I had and stopped me from having so much shedding I also noticed that my hair started growing longer again in a shorter amount of time.

I’ve been using this product for 3 years now but never used the leavin balm. My hair comes out nice and soft with body. Don’t have to waste my time sitting under the dryer I can jus put in and blow. Smells great my husband.

For context, I have ultra fine, type 2a or b hair. At the time I had permanent coloured hair with no bleach and probably a bit of hair dryer damage. Generally with shampoo and conditioner I don’t notice much difference between brands and base my selection on scent from what my hairdresser recommends.

The only difference I have noted is stripping my hair, usually with drugstore shampoos. But other than that I am easy to please. I got this on deep clearance from my hairdresser a long while back. Mind blown.

My hair felt better than it ever had and had So. Much. Volume. When I ran low I checked online and could not justify spending that much on shampoo and conditioner. But there is a happy ending to this story.

As part of my mid-life crisis, I recently began researching skincare ingredients, which led to haircare. I looked up the ingredients of this miracle product to try to determine what ingredients were likely responsible for my great results.

And there it was. Hydrolysed wheat protein. I checked around for products with this ingredient and found a leave-in by CHI. If you want to use hydrolysed proteins, know that it takes experimentation.

Some hydrolysed proteins penetrate the shaft (like keratin or silk), others are too large for that, like wheat, and some are really large, like gelatin. Wheat might make your hair crunchy, but gelatin will work wonders, but not if you use it every time you shampoo – your hair might only like it once a month.

So buy smaller bottles until you figure out what works for you. Gelatin is a good place to start because you can make a hydrolysed gelatin protein hair mask at home for next to zero money. You can probably find a recipe online that uses only plain gelatin from the grocery store, distilled water, and a couple of drops of oil.

I was recommended this duo set by my hairstylist. It was amazing! It helped repair my damaged hair and helped with fall out and breakage. The bottles are nice and big and lasted me about 6 months ( I don’t wash my hair everyday) The only thing is the price per bottle or for the set if you buy through the salon is steep at around $100-130 for the set.

If you have the money to buy this o would definitely say do it. Not everyone can afford that price point though for shampoo.

Absolutely love the way this product smells and makes my hair silky smooth. I was gifted the shampoo and conditioner and now cannot live without it. My new go to for dry hair. If your hair is dry from coloring, etc, this is the conditioner you need.

I bought this to try as a pre-color treatment, so my color won’t “grab” porous hair (as per another reviewer on Sally Beauty). I will report back after I do the color in the next day or two. In prep, I washed my hair and used it as a leave-in since I will be coloring.

I think I used about a tablespoon on my short hair, which was a little too much. will try a little less next time. It smells very nice. I will probably end up using this as a regular conditioner a couple times a week, since my hair needs extra TLC.

i have thin, wispy, limp, broken hair. when dry can see fuzz round the head of broken ends of hair. have been using this product about 3 weeks, twice a week. first time i used it saw an immediate difference – hair got thicker and had noticeably more volume/puffed up.

but also felt dry (could be due to hena hair powder colouring that i use). so now i use a hair serum after showering from before and after state of my hair this product 1. makes thin hair strands thicker – which gives overall volume and makes hair strands behave better – less wispy.

2. may also be strengthening the hair and reducing breakages.

I like miseenscene product and I order this one to remplace the treatment “perfect serum”. It seems to be less nourishing and I don’t have the “smooth” effect after use… I have thin, colored hair.

Bought at another retailer, but they don’t have a place to leave reviews on their site and wanted to share my experience somwehere. I have hard water and it was ruining my newly bleached hair; it was breaking off, it was extremely tangled, I had never seen my hair this damaged.

I’d been blonde before I lived in my current place and I think bc of the hard water, my previous products were not cutting it. Decided to splurge on this because my hair was super frizzy so I was trying to fix that and I swear, after 1 wash I saw a difference.

No other hair product has been this effective this fast. I used this with the conditioner in the same line and my frizz turned into waves. After 1 use!! Even before I used my oils and curl cream, I air dried it with no other product to see how it worked without other products and I was shocked at how much it had tamed the frizz and moisturized without weighing down my hair (it’s fine, but I have a lot of it).

I do use other products bc curl = dry, but if it’s a lazy day and I want to wear my hair up and not use curl products, I can and it’ll look great. People have been complimenting my hair for the first time in a long time.

It has a nice, fresh, spa-like smell. Very slight lingering power, mixes well with other products (serum, oil and curl cream, all from different brands).

I received this mask complimentary from Alterna Haircare. My long and wavy hair is dry, frizzy and is prone to damage, split ends and breakage. Especially during the cold winter months my hair is extra dry and needs extra care.

This mask is just the extra boost my hair needs! I apply the mask evenly through my damp hair mid-length to the ends. It is absorbed nicely. I leave it in for about ten minutes. I then thoroughly rinse my hair.

This treatment makes my hair feel so soft and it does not leave my hair feeling weighed down or greasy. My hair is easy to comb through and my hair looks shiny, healthy and less dull. My usually frizzy hair looked smoother and is easier to manage and style.

Love this hair mask. It’s thick and creamy in texture and has a fresh clean scent. As well as being repairing it does a great job of detangling my fine mid-length hair and leaves it nice and soft. I like that it is quick to use – just leave it on for 2-3 minutes – and it rinses well.

I use it once or twice a week in place of a conditioner. There’s a spatula built into the lid of the jar for easy scooping of product which is a great idea.

It’s an awesome product. Actually does condition and soften hair. My hair is this, dry and can get frizzy if good product is not used. It has been three best for years! Even though it’s been hard to find since ULTA stopped carrying the line, can find on eBay.

So glad!!!! Seriously! My hair stylist, (who’s moved)recommended it back in the 90’s and it’s always been the best, and I’ve tried others with bad/ineffective results.

My wife recommended this cream after my chemo and radio treatments. She was using mostly for cracked lips as far as I know. Wounds regularly appearing inside my nose. So she recommended to try for me, insisting that is can be used inside nose is well.

I was really surprised when just after one day of applying notice huge difference and after three days wounds disappear all together. So I keep applying on regular basis and results are astonishing!!!! Only on very rear occasions when I forgot to treat my self wound will reappear, but now I got magical cream.

This is an ok conditioner. This product is for dry and brittle hair / coarse hair, that is supposed to condition and soften. I have curly hair so I’m often dealing with dryness and breakage. I though this helped with dryness and added softness It does have silicones in it which is not ideal for curly hair—which is why I ultimately stopped using it.

The silicones actually coat the hair, and stop moisture from reaching the hair.

I have curly hair which causes tangles and unruliness especially in hot humid climate but this right here has been the ultimate game changer for me as my hair goes from wild to tame with a mist of this and it also makes my hair not only easier to manage but smells great as well and my kids like it also.

If you have some unruly hair like I then you should give this a try !.

I’ve been using this shampoo for years and even though I don’t color my hair any more I still like using this. It smells soooo good and really lathers up in your hair. It leaves your hair not only smelling really good but feeling clean and not built up with product.

Definitely recommend trying.

My hair dresser colors my hair and what shampoo and conditioner she used was this set. I decided to see if it was on eBay and it was in these small sample sizes and they are perfect. I love what it does to my hair.

I live in an area where the humidity is a nightmare but this combo helps to tame it not all of it but plenty!.

So I was a bit hesitant to purchase this as the price is so high. I’d tried a sample of the anti Ageing shampoo and really liked it but thought, Is it really worth the money? It IS. The hair fall shampoo does actually reduce my hair fall out.

You need the tiniest amount to clean your hair (I use a 20p piece amount for my whole scalp and I have fine but dense almost waist length hair). I dip my finger into the shampoo and target areas that go greasy first (my temples, crown and behind my ears) and then emulsify the rest in both hands before distributing through my hair.

This is going to last me a long time. I also bought the conditioner and hair mask and using these all together has made a huge difference in my hair. It’s shiny, soft, I have reduced fallout and it stays cleaner for longer.

I have thin, fine hair that lacks volume and gets oily fast. After moving to northern Sweden, my hair started to get even more oily. I tried different shampoos, both from drugstore and professional haircare brands and nothing worked.

I used this shampoo twice so far and can already see results. I really enjoy that it has no fragrance. My hair feels clean and fresh after shampooing but still has moisture and shine. The best part is, that my hair is not getting oily on the second day (it started to look oily on the third day though but I hope that eventually, my scalp will get rebalanced).

I would recommend checking the info chart on the Dr. Sturm website that explains which shampoo suits which hair type and concern.

I have untreated fine hair (which i stopped colouring in 2019). Before using your products I used olaplex 3,4 and 5 so my hair was in good condition however recently i have noticed it to be somewhat thinning.

For this reason I bought your shampoo for thinning hair the conditioner and the thinning hair serum. I have been using the products for > wk and i have experienced more hair loss in the shower, itchy scalp (never had any issues with my scalp before) and the hair felt and looked far worse than when I use olaplex.

I’m sorry but the products are just not suitable for my hair. so today I am back to my trusted olaplex regime.
