I received this product free from Influenster and L’Oréal Paris in exchange for my honest review! To start off, I myself did not get the opportunity to use this dye since I just recently got my hair done, however a good friend allowed me to give her a makeover and boy does she look great! First and foremost I usually do not use box dye products, but this dye surprised me to the fullest! I was pleased to learn that the product was conditioning and came with a tube to strengthen the intensity as well as the “shimmering/highlight” effect.

The dye was quick to setup and processing only took 25 minutes! Likewise, the product did NOT stain skin as badly as it said though I was very careful around the hairline. The dye also was not strong smelling, like most dyes making you lightheaded with ammonia and other chemicals.

I was honestly unsure how the tone was going to come out since my friend had a rather badly toned blonde that was already chemically treated to begin with. But I was very pleased with the results and the tone overall! I definitely could see that shimmery highlighted effect as her hair came out with different tones of violets and blues even! The color is so vibrant and made her hair look very healthy.

Furthermore, the dye came with both conditioning shampoo and conditioner which worked like a charm. Overall I’m really pleased with this, YES BOX DYE and I hope that the color lasts for her. I’ve dyed my hair at least a dozen times, but it’s been a while. I used Féria’s Coral Pink in March without issue, so I thought blue hair sounded fun and picked up Féria’s M10 Cosmic Azure.

I’m not going to knock off any stars for the dye being more dark blueberry on my hair, rather than the more purple blue on the box, because I had previous dye on my hair. But I will dock it all the points for the terrible formula.

It came with a scent ampoule, but that didn’t help. The dye made my eyes water profusely and my husband even commented on it. The dye dripped everywhere in my shower. I was able to clean the tile with bleach and CLR Mold and Mildew, but some of the grout is still blue.

While it was incredibly drippy, it didn’t penetrate hair well at all. I used almost the entire bottle of dye, rubbing it into my hair for 10-15 minutes, then waited another 10-15 while I cleaned blue hair dye out of the shower, and I still have areas where my hair is still brown/coral pink.

I would repeatedly work the dye into my hair and could see it wasn’t penetrating like you’d expect the dye formula to do. I do NOT recommend this dye and am now thinking about a nice, boring dark brown next, maybe not from Féria’s line.

This review is for the demi-permanent 8a light ash blonde: Would have given 5 stars except, as others have mentioned, this shade is not a “light” blonde unless in bright, natural light. Indoors or in darker light, it appears dark blonde—so be aware before you use that it may come out looking more like a level 7, not a level 8.

I knew this going in but wish they’d re-label their blonde series to match how it actually turns out. Anyways…. The demi-permanent is easy to use and works almost like a toner—I’d been using T14 toner and, due to the developer, was having problems with it lifting areas of my hair I didn’t want lifted.

So I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of reviews on the Wella demi 8a and decided to give it a shot, and it did exactly what I needed it to do—it toned my hair, leaving it a cooler tone but still with a little depth and warmth while leaving my roots alone (no hot roots!).

Will definitely use again but may mix the 10NA and 8A together, as there doesn’t appear to be a level 9 in the demi-permanent line.

The only reason this isn’t a 5â review is because it came out so much darker than I expected. I was really hoping for a lighter brown, I bought the light brown and it definitely went dark. Some of that may have been my fault because it ended up processing about 10 minutes longer than it called for because I was busy with my son.

That’s the ONLY negative I can think of for this product. It’s inexpensive, I found at Sally’s, it can also be ordered online. It smells good, and it’s easy to mix. Very easy to apply, it’s a cream but not a thick one so it costs the hair easily and quickly.

My grays are so hard to cover but this did the trick! Very impressed with it! Especially for a demi permanent color.

This was an amazing transformation. From start to beginning was it easy process. I put my gloves on and added my color to my developer that it came with in the Box I started up it even gave me a brush to apply to my hair.

I section my hair I added the coloring to my hair and waited 20 minutes I washed my hair with shampoo and gave it a good conditioner and voila you can see the before and after pictures the two pictures at first are before and the last two are after look at the volume, the shine, and the amazing vibrant color that this added to my hair.

I’m not quite sure what people are doing wrong, but I have used this product for years if not decades to cover up grays. I have black/brown hair with bright white grays and I use the dark brown color.

The color lasts for two months. I have no problem with matching- because the color always “reveals” itself at two weeks- which is normal for all box dye in my experience. I love everything about this kit.

I purchase extra gloves nitrile, hair dye brushes, cheap butterfly clips and disposable shower caps. I do it on a day where my hair is greasy because I’m about to take a shower (this protects my scalp from the color and my hair from damage).

I mix the color and developer together and let it sit while I rub the pretreatment in with my gloved hands. I shake up the color a lot (60 seconds!) and after I see actual color develop I shake it some more and then start applying.

I apply to the top of my hair, brushing it in and then I clip that section off. I work in sections, top, sides and back and then let the dye work for 40 minutes from when I finish applying- cover it with a disposable cap so I don’t drip dye everywhere.

I use all of the bottle for my shoulder length hair. This is key!!!! You need to let the part of your hair that is seen the most sit for the entire time. I rinse it out with cold water only (gloves!!!) and then add the conditioner (the whole tube) and let it set in my hair for 5 minutes (also in a cap) before rinsing it out with cold water and washing it with color safe shampoo in cold water.

I do not apply this with a comb. There is a comb attachment- but I use a brush to spread it on my hair and the comb attachment to spread it on the brush. You want to paint your hair, soaking it with dye.

The other trick is that when I shower, I condition first before I shampoo. This keeps the color in more and I get an incredible volume without my hair getting crunchy.

This is my 1 and only hair dye that I’ll use, Loreal Paris Feria Intense Copper. I tried to picked the intense copper but wouldn’t allow me to click on it. I can’t tell you @lorealparis how many compliments I get on my hair color 🤩 As everyone tells me, the color suits me too a tea!!! I made the BIGGEST MISTAKE during the pandemic, I couldn’t finding Intense Copper anywhere.

The 3rd parties on Walmart, were asking for $100 and plus. No way, was I paying that. HUGE MISTAKE!!! Next time, I’ll pay. Vibrant, soft and fun! I started with light brown hair, level 5-6, and went to this beautiful, edgy red. I love it! Its the expected color shown on the box and just what I was looking for! Application can be messy, so take precautions before you even start.

The smell really isn’t strong IMO, and it doesn’t linger. Hoping the red stays vibrant and doesn’t fade too quickly. Very happy with this dye!! A few tips… Wear black, something easy to remove. I moved my bathroom rugs and made sure to put a damp wash cloth within reach to catch drips on my skin.

I always section my hair for even coverage. Use (better) gloves to apply, and don’t squeeze too much out, it’s rather runny.

I’ll start by saying I think the product did what it promised to do, which is tone hair and neutralise warmth from bleaching. For that reason I’d still recommend the toner if you need it because it does perform.

It’s not getting 5 stars from me though because for a take home product, there just isn’t enough information or instructions to help guide people to pick the right toner for their warmth or level. I think if Wella made a more user friendly guide for non-professionals, they would have fewer reviews saying it didn’t work for them because they weren’t able to pick the right toner for their hair.

I know they have some information on their website but it is not reader friendly for a lay person and that’s what pushes people to end up picking the more popular T18 regardless of their actual toning needs.

I know if you spend the time to study up colour wheels and toning guides, you’d be okay picking a toner but hair colouring can be stressful and a wella specific guide would be so helpful!.

These toners work well but they smell awful! Beware of that. They’re also really runny and they go dark really quickly so you’ll want to get this product all up in your hair as quickly as possible. The best way I’ve found to do this is by making a toning shampoo: mix the toner and developer, then add a few capfuls of shampoo (you can add some water too if you want to make it runnier), then hang your head over the sink and lather it in quickly.

You’ll want to watch your hair to see how fast it is developing. You might only need 5 minutes or you might want 15. Just keep an eye on it! I used a mix if T18, T27, and the cooling violet 050 on freshly bleached level 8-9ish hair and it toned beautifully.

I later switched to using the permanent gel with a low developer as I found it easier to apply to roots only and the colour lasts longer. But if an all-over quick toning job is what your after, this is it.

I bought 3 bottles of T18 so that I wouldn’t run out halfway through, but now realize that 1 bottle is enough to do my whole head. There was actually some left over so I just slopped it all on. For reference, my hair is approximately 18 inches long and goes down to my bra strap, Im white/caucasian, medium/fine thickness, and I have a full head of baby-lights.

I mixed 1 bottle of T18 with 10 volume developer, instead of the 20 that it recommends. I did some research and knew that 10 volume would ONLY deposit colour, while 20 volume does have some lifting power.

AKA 20 vol has the ability to lighten. I did NOT want my roots to turn orange so thats why I chose 10 volume. If you use 20 volume be aware that it CAN lighten your roots. or just only apply it to the blonde parts and avoid your roots.

Up to you. My hair is easily a level 8-9. I have been getting it lightened professionally for the past 4 years. So I knew that T18 would be ok for me. It took about 10 mins to apply with the help of my boyfriend, and then I let it sit for 15 minutes.

I could see my head turning purple as the toner developed. When I washed it out- yes, it did tone the yellow out of my hair. However, it did NOT dramatically change the colour of my hair to a bright white.

I put the product over my entire head and even on my roots. I can now tell that my roots have changed colour a little bit, but what I didn’t realize before is that this is a “permanent colour”. So its NOT really a toner.

If I had used 20 volume Im sure it would have gone lighter/brighter blonde BUT my roots would have been orange. So, for a covid-hairdo it turned out ok and is acceptable to me. If you are going to purchase T18 you should definitely look at a hair chart and determine if your hair is light enough to use this.

(A level 1 is closer to black and a level 10 is like pure white grandma-hair). If you are not at least a level 8 then dont bother. This product will not magically lighten your hair. Also think about what shade you’re trying to get rid of- What does your current blonde/brassy hair look like right now? Orange hair needs blue tones to cancel them, and yellow hair needs purple tones to cancel them.

This is a purple toner. So if your hair is yellow and a level 8+ then go for it. If its not then you need to bleach it to make it lighter. I think that T18 is probably best for someone who just bleached their entire head with like 30 volume to be as light as possible (NO orange), has no root re-growth, and plans to apply it all over for one cohesive grey/ash look.

Otherwise, I think it turned out ok for me. However, I would not purchase it again. In the future I will just buy a semi-permanent hair toner. Brad Mondo says that real toners come in a tube and I think I would have got a better result if I used that so that it didn’t affect my roots.

Otherwise, a purple shampoo or conditioner would have been better for my blonde without altering my roots at all.

I was born with blonde hair. But into my 20’s I had to start colouring it to brighten it up. And as I aged, I had to keep changing the colour I was using. but always in the “ash blonde” colour range.

Now, I am 78 and need to go lighter to blend with my almost white hair. The trick to beautiful blonde hair is to prevent brassiness. So, I have been using a purple shampoo and conditioner for years. The great thing about this hair colour is the box contains a purple condition.

It is the best purple conditioner I have ever used. It leaves my hair shiny and prevents any yellowing which is so important when you have grey or white hair. For the last 50 years, I have coloured my hair by myself, saving thousands of $$$.

If you have a hairdresser you know well, ask her/him to go with you to the drugstore to select the right shade for you. And don’t get stuck on one colour forever; you need to change as you age. BTW. The other reviewer did not select the right product for her daughter.

She should have read the boxes or asked the consultant what she needed.

Not to be dramatic, but this product literally changed my life. Anyone who was blonde as a child and whose hair got gradually darker with age will understand. Being blonde has always been a part of my identity, so when my hair started toeing the line between blonde and brown, I realized it was time to take action.

I didn’t want to have to pay hundreds of dollars a year to keep my blonde, so I figured I’d try this product. That was almost two years ago. Within three months, my hair was noticeably blonder. I have natural medium/dirty blonde hair, that is 2c/3a curly. I have never used any dye, professional or otherwise on my hair. I use the Sun Bum hair lightener when I am outside in the sun and it has brought my hair to the light blonde color I want.

My hair has a natural golden undertone so I have used the purple Sun Bum tone enhancer and it has helped give a more neutral blonde tone to my hair. The hair lightener has not made my hair brittle or dry, but keep in mind I do use several hydrating treatments on my natural curly dry hair anyways.

Be cautious and evaluate your hair type when making product decisions, but I will continue to use this product and give it 5 stars!.

I absolutely LOVE this product and would recommend it to anyone that has blonde/light brown hair. This stuff smells amazing, makes my hair feel so nice and soft, and actually does help make my hair more blonde in the sun! I have never dyed my hair before other than with natural highlights from the sun! In the winter my hair starts to get darker, when spring rolls around I start using this product in my hair whenever I am going to be outside and I am always impressed at how quickly I can start telling the difference.

After just one day in the sun using this product in my hair my hair looks significantly lighter!.

This product works, But like many Hair dyes even if it comes with a booster highlighting package. It’s a waste of time and Funds Lady if you recently dyed your hair with a dark brown medium brown or black.

So if you are trying to go lighter with dark dye in your hair. Use color oops and dye it the next day after deep conditioning. You will get the color you want. Also put a plastic bag over your dye while processing.

No hair dye has ever damaged my curls until this one. I bought the jet black color. I had really nice 3B curls. I’ve had the dye for about a week already and my hair barely curls. I had to chop half of my hair off I’m so sad 🙁 never getting this again hoping maybe a month or two from now hair will go back to a nice fro again my hair is so dry now.

I have been using different brands of hair colors over the past year, but I always come back to Herbatint. It leaves the hair feeling soft and shiny. I usually use the dark blonde, but this time I decided to use the Brown.

My hair seems to get lighter at the roots than the ends. Since I have colored hair, I just used the roots application. After 30 minutes, I combed it down through the ends. It is very easy to apply, and because it is a gel, it doesn’t get all over everything.

The brown is a little darker than I am used to, but it is a rich-looking brown. I also have some left over that I can use when I do my roots again. From past experience with this brand, the color lasts over a month and it gradually fades.

I am definitely staying with Herbatint!.

This hair color is wonderful. Results came out a little dark so definitely recommend you go a few shades lighter than you think you need. They do tell you that on the website when you order. My hair felt healthier after I colored it.

Did not run too much during application. Went on easily. Came off skin easily as well. Covered my grays really well, even the stubborn ones. The shampoo and conditioner included in the kit was a generous amount and worked so very well.

I have used many professional hair colors in the past and this one really does stand out with how clear the instructions are, how easy to use it is, and how well it works. I would purchase this going forward I would just choose a little bit lighter shade.

The bottle and applicator was really nice and durable. The gloves was very nice and durable where I could rinse them off and reuse for the shampooing. I like how thick the formula is and it doesn’t run all over the place.

It really doesn’t have a smell, it’s just a little but nothing overpowering. I absolutely love the added bonus of the haircolor remover wipe it works amazingly and very useful. The product made my hair feel like silk and the shampoo and conditioner did too and it smells amazing.

It colored my hair really good just have a little resistant grey it didn’t cover but overall it is a amazing product. I highly recommend to try.

It mixes smoothly. It’s a nice thick cream so it doesn’t drip. I received the medium intense red shade. What I got was nice bright red. Developing time for me was 45 mins as I had a good amount of grey.

It covered them really well. You get a sachet of color lock shampoo and conditioner which is super thick, there’s enough to wash/condition twice. It made my hair feel silky soft, easy to manage, without the heavy feel one would get post-coloring.

These toners are great! The color lasts SO LONG on your hair. I tone my hair down to a level 7 and wash my hair 1-2 times a week, so the color doesn’t even fade at all because I re-tone it every two months on bleach day! Also the RANGE of colors they have is AMAZING.

I always had to mix colors and it always ended up too purple, too pink or too dark. until I tried Guy Tang’s my identity and I tell you my friends this is a rose gold ready to go, no need to mix with other colors THIS IS IT! It is one of the longest lasting demi-permanent colors too, woohoo.

Review is for #mydentity guy tang direct dye in pink Posession. I absolutely hated it honestly. I prefer pravana or joico intensities ( my fav is joico) but thought I’d give it a try because the colors looked beautiful.

If your gonna use these make sure the hairs at a perfect level 10 cause anything less and it will be untrue to the color. Even a tiny bit of pigment left in the hair throws off the color. Defiantly prefer joico over this any day.

Perfect if you know what youre doing. Blue cancels channels of unwanted yellow, gold to barely brassy. Its not a bleach. It does HL all the way to 12 which is a level ten in most other shades. Its not platinum but is close.

You make it platinum by adding two caps crabber violet or choose VIOLET-Blue. This is a Blue only base. Its true ash. If you leave too much gold and dont lift enough it will look slightly greenish until two washes and then reveal a pretty flaxen gold more wheat looking blond.

If youre really last a 9. 5 level light youre perfect result will be over-the bleached level 10 which will look punk redhead orange yellow=too gold that ugly color will make it shine when you replace the lens of blue hair color limiting it all to one channel of pale yellow through like a Miracle, the icky color is blocked.

If your hair was stained with dark brown box color, youll need to keep bleaching the mid. Until that stain is lighter and grows out. Until then, adding one cap violet toner level crabber will make it milk white.

Went from a level 7 permanent red to a level 7 blonde with T35. A good round of bleach took off quiet a bit of the red but I still had really dark orange. T35 blended everything so well and made the burnt orange color a nice strawberry blonde and helped out all the other yellow and white I had going on after the bleach to make it all a really nice blonde.

I didn’t have any experience with bleach or toner. Or even doing my own hair. I’ve never even been blonde before either so, thank god for strong hair.

I bleached my roots, that’s new to me. My ends were purple white, which I loved, but my roots were still yellow-ish. I’m letting my 16 yo daughter do it bc she wants to, and we will learn together. If all my hair falls off, that’s cool too.

Bc I and your and everyone are beautiful no matter what. But we have a desire to look like what we we want to look like, right? And in a few minutes, we will see if this fixed the brassiness.

I had bought this color initially to add highlights to my dark hair I had already applied a lightening treatment to my hair before applying this color. I loved the color as it did the job without applying brassy tones.

Trial and error tips: apply to dry hair and let it process longer if you’re aiming for a more intense deposit. (I left mine on for closer to 35 minutes instead of 20. ).

LOVE LOVE LOVE this brand of haircolor. It is consistent and truest to the intended color. The color selection is fantastic and the ratio to developer is a 1/2 so you need less dye. I currently use a different color but it’s still wella.

This haircolor holds the color much longer than the types you find in discount stores. It also allows you to use as much or as little as you need. I have short hair and one bottle will do my hair at least two times.

I’ve been using this for over a month now (once a week) and what I can say is this: it’s gentle and doesn’t stain as long as you wash your hands right after using it. It’s not a drastic blue mask, it’s dark and nourishing.

I have thin, fine, shoulder-length hair and the product is only half gone after four to five uses so if that’s you too, you’ll get more bang for your buck. I was really hoping this would cool my hair down but it didn’t.

What it DID do is make my hair much more manageable, shiny and seems to blend my grays more. My hair looks and feels better when I use this this weekly. I’m kind of tempted to try the one for blondes to see if it would be better as far as toning down the warm tones.

I will keep using this and I will definitely buy it again. The ingredients are much better than a lot of the other blue products I’ve seen so that’s also a plus. Only downside is that the scent is fairly strong.

I really wanted to love this! I’m a natural strawberry blonde, and was looking for a way to deep condition and boost my color during the summer months when I’m spending a lot of time swimming and outdoors.

I tried this a few different ways during strand testing: wash + condition for 5 minutes, on dry hair for 5 and 10 minutes, wash + condition for 20 minutes, and none resulted in a noticeable color result.

Even so, it did make my hair incredibly soft and shiny, and I do think it would work if your hair is lighter or color treated. It might be that my hair is too copper to make a difference, and I’ve never dyed it.

I can recommend the conditioning properties, but not the color result in my case. If you’re a natural strawberry blonde, I recommend the dpHUE gloss+ in strawberry. It gave me the subtle color result I wanted, plus the shine and softness.

I have dark brown hair with a mix of dark blonde and caramel balayage. The caramel and blonde were getting very orange and I was trying to hold off dying or toning my hair until my next balayage appointment in a few months.

This product works really well but you have to use it a bit differently than the instructions. The first time I did it in the shower and waited 10-15 minutes before rinsing. No difference. The next day I dampened my clean hair (washed the day before) and i parted my hair and used a dye brush and pretty much used the mask like how you would dye hair.

No hair fall like other products either. I use the jet black shade and no harsh odor either. The cream conditioner that comes with the product needs to be used very little at a time unless it would make the hair too greasy.

I have been using this particular brand to color my hair for almost 7 years and have no complaints. I typically will die my own hair and have been for several years. Yes, my hair is natural and curly and dark brown is my natural color.

I will say that this product does not work for every hair type. I’ve had women tell me that they use the same product but with different results. I will also mention that I have never used the recommended time for leaving the color in my hair.

My hair does not take to hair coloring well so the typical 30-45 minutes never works for me. For those that indicate the product has not worked, I suggest using another product like Crème of Nature product.

For reference my hair is a medium to light brown with an ash undertone and some gray hairs. Midnight blue is really nice with an undertone of a blue tint but no actual blue to your hair. Jet black is very dark, sharp and glossy looking.

Natural black still solid coverage but a softer tone to it. Chestnut brown has a golden almost auburn color to it. Red hot rhythms is stunning when first applied but quickly loses color in less than a week making your hair look very much like a box dye job.

Golden blond is true golden warm tone but again you need a professional to lighten your hair first in order for the color to take all the way through your hair. I don’t know who has their nose broken, but the conditioner smells absolutely fabulous.

Reminds of a salon honestly. obviously when you’re dying you need to have a fan going but even that’s not a bad smell. Bottom line as with any color going darker than your hair tone is always easy and possible.

And going lighter impossible without a bleach or toner to lighten it first before depositing color. Gray coverage 90%.

The actual color on the box is beautiful but it definitely did not turn my hair that color. My hair to start off with was off black. First time around, my roots turned like burnt orange and hair strands are a deep burgundy.

Second time just to see if the color would take. The roots were a darker burgundy and my strands still the same. Basically to get this hair color, your hair has to be already a lighter shade. Will try again next year.

is my favorite at home hair coloring. I only by the red box (in the picture below). My usual shade is auburn or burgundy I received this black one as a free sample, I’m excited to try it. I love that it comes everything you need even includes Argan Oil to apply after.

My hair never breaks off when I use this coloring. I am natural I don’t bleach my hair before I use the kit the color comes out very nice pigmented. The color usually fades/grows out a little after a month for myself.

They say don’t use box dyes to color your hair but when you’re on a budget as a naturalista, box dyes can be your best friend to achieve a permanent color. I only use Creme of Nature box dyes at the moment and I picked up this one to achieve a medium brown color on my hair.

I knew I wasn’t going to get the Golden Blonde advertised because I have the blackest of black hair (I have to thank my parents for their genes more haha). If I am correct, it came with the bleaching powder, dye, conditioner and maybe a hot oil treatment.

The hot oil treatment was definitely appreciated but I still noticed color damage to my natural curls, which was expected. It definitely made my curls a bit looser and frizzy. I’m waiting on a box dye that doesn’t damage your curls in the midst of the process and I am still looking.

Overall, the box dye did it’s job and I use it every 6+ months to dye my growth.

Love lanza color line and really all of there products aswell. Great company. Love the natural products they use that make your hair healthy. Highly recommend this color line to anyone. It’s worth the extra money for this amazing line! Look into all their products not just the color you won’t be sorry!.

My hairstylist always uses this product. I have very dry curly hair so it is important to make sure that the bleach doesn’t harm my hair. Perfect product for this.

Love this hair color. It gives your hair a great color and shine. Leaves the hair looking and feeling healthy as well. It is affordable and great quality. Color is exactly what you would expect when you pick it out.

Total waste of time and money. I was using this to do a root smudge. I normally use Redken Shades EQ, but wanted to give this a try to see what it’s like with the bonder in it (newer formula). I used Matrix 10 volume cream developer and followed the instructions precisely.

It left my hair looking very flat and the level 7 on my currently level 10 hair color didn’t darken my root area at all. It not only didn’t work, but left my hair looking dull with a little bit of breakage.

I definitely don’t recommend this.

My mom is a cosmetologist. So I have been using this hair color since day one. It’s the only brand I have tried. It doesn’t damage or fry your hair. It smells really good. it doesn’t take forever to develop.

My absolute favourite colour range for blonde women who want to slowly transition to darker hues. It blends beautifully and washes out so consistently that you never see patches streaks of hair that need to be filled.

I find it develops one shade darker than the colour code claims so be aware of that but this Demi is brilliant, highly recommend it to everyone especially those who want to add shine and lustre when they get bored of a high lift colour.

It’s also a lot easier to go back to blonde if you’re only removing a Demi.

It’s fun, it’s quick and easy because home hair dye kits are so much better these days, and it’s the easiest way to change up your entire beauty look. Of course, if you spend a lot of time continually dying and re-dying your hair, you will need to spend time caring for your colour treated locks with the right shampoo, conditioner and masks and leave in treatments, to ensure your hair remains bright, glossy, soft and protected from the drying effects that hair dye can have.

There are many great products from brilliant brands, and my most recent discovery is this Matrix Brass off shampoo. \n\nI recently dyed my hair a gorgeous deep red colour, courtesy of Garnier Olia, and needed a shampoo that would really protect and maintain my newly red tresses, and I saw this at my local beauty salon.

I know it says for blonde and brunette colours, but the staff member who helped me still recommended it for any shade of colour, so I was sold. \n\nThe next morning, I did my usual double shampoo, rinsing thoroughly each time, and followed with the matching conditioner, rinsed thoroughly again, and wrapped up my clean, wet strands in my hair turban.

After drying off and combing through gently, I was left with hair that was fresh, shiny, glossy and radiant, and the red colour simply glowed. I was very impressed with results that were so instant and obvious for all to see.

I now use these products once a week, for a truly indulgent and pampering deep treatment and it has really maintained my colour for so long now, even six weeks later, my hair looks freshly dyed, it’s just so bright and shiny.

The price tag is reasonable, needing so little each time means it has gone such a long way, and the purple packaging, one of my favourite colours, looks gorgeous in my shower caddy. \n\nEven though I really like this product and the instant and long lasting results it has given me, I take off one star simply because it doesn’t quite live up to my beloved Garnier or Loreal Paris hair care products, plus they are a little more affordable, but still, this product and brand has no real negatives for me, I will continue to use it and love it.

If you want a product range that pampers and treats coloured, dry hair, has a quirky name and gives instant results plus long lasting ones, then brass off and try this Matrix range. \n.

This is the only purple shampoo I have used that doesn’t stain my hair or make it look too ashy. I have short pixie style platinum blonde hair and find that I get best results when mixing with normal shampoo and leave in for about 3 minutes.

For best results I use about 2 weeks after just having my colour refreshed and then use once a week until my next salon visit. I don’t find it too drying like some other purple shampoos. I use Olaplex shampoo and conditioner every other day to maintain the best health for my bleached blonde hair.

They say blondes have more fun. well only when our beautiful blonde locks are perfectly toned and vibrant, which is exactly what you will get when you use this shampoo. I have been using it for a few months now and it has greatly extended the time in between colours for me.

It works really well to take out the brassiness out of my chemically treated blonde hair, but also keeps is fresh and vibrant, not to mention extremely soft. It comes out of the bottle bright purple, but don’t be alarmed as it fades to a pale purple once lathered up.

It definitely doesn’t give my hair any silver tones, which is perfect for me personally but for those wanting a slight purple tone may be dissapointed. I also LOVE the smell of this shampoo, it reminds me of the shampoos used in professional hair salons and leaves my hair gently fragranced for the day.

Overall a great product and despite being more expensive than the shampoo you might find in a supermarket, I find that the bottle lasts a really long time because I only need to use the tinest amount each wash (it lathers up really well).

So for all those blonde bombshell’s out there, do yourself a favour and buy this shampoo!.
