Installation was easy. Our dogs, 2 senior cattledogs, did not have a lot of travel experience in their previous home so their vehicle manners are still evolving. This seat cover appears to make them more comfortable than riding loose in the rear of our Ford Escape.

They are contained in the rear seat, close to us and have less area to get jostled around. Since they are still nervous in the car, they shed a lot on every ride and this seat cover contains the hair making it easy to vacuum.

I put a rolled dog bed in the seat wheel between the rear seat & the back of the front seat & that keeps them from sinking below seat level or putting strain on the cover. The door panel protectors are an excellent idea & even help to keep the dogs from leaning out the windows if they are open.

All in all an excellent product. I just wish it was manufactured in the United States but with the variety of materials, seams & time involved to assemble I am sure it would not be so reasonably priced.

Was so hesitate about ordering at first but then saw that Orvis was selling this brand. Ordered directly from Meadowlark and was so pleased with quality and options provided by this cover. Especially appreciative about mesh window to allow the a/c to reach backseat which is crucial to my dog here in NC.

I really like the side panels by windows and the seatbelt that comes with this cover, a great addition. Back Headrest covers are a plus as well. Great advertising for Meadowlark!! Bottom Cover is quilted for extra strength against nails but adds more comfort.

I ordered the standard size and it fits well in my Kia Niro. Easy to install in the car and took just a couple of minutes. I installed it today for the first time straight out of the package. Get 3 miles down the road and my puppy pees on the cover.

I turn around and head home. I open the back door to clean the pee and it completely soaked through the cover and onto my leather seat. This isn’t even water resistant let alone water proof. I like the cover, but this is very disappointing.

One of the main reasons I chose this was because it said water proof.

Just recieved so I cannot talk about wear. It seems to be well made, the price was great. It is similar to our last one which we have had almost 15 years. This one was purchased for the back of a Ford Explorer and it fits perfect.

Our girl is 97 lbs so the hammock style not likely.

I purchased because my convertible has black interior which gets very hot in FL. Perfect fit for my Mini Cooper. Color is very nice; snaps around headrest and seat back so stays in place and material feels very nice.

I bought this to protect my new car seats from my dog’s nails. She is a large dog so I like that the cover covers the bucket seats even down the side of the seat. Because she is such a large dog, however, I don’t think this cover is thick enough to protect my seat, so I put a thicker blanket on top of this cover when she rides in the car.

I do like how the cover protects my leather seat from everything else I put in the seat when my dog isn’t riding with me, so I would still recommend this for a smaller dog, or just for everyday things.

We purchased this dog seat cover back a few months back before our trip up to Tennessee for Florida with our new corgi pup , Holston. It was so easy to install and we were amazed that it covered the whole back seat in our big Chevy Silverado 2500.

It did it’s job protecting our beautiful seats both front and back. The material is waterproof and very easy to clean dirt and hair off of. It was also easy to remove the seat cover , clean it , and fold it right back up.

I love this seat cover. It is very durable material, has appropriately placed seat belt buckle holes, and fairly easy to use anchors. My mom has the same cover, so clearly we like this product. I love that it is waterproof, and has always been easy to clean.

I’ve been wanting something to protect my back seats that are leather. My dogs are so heavy that their nails make marks and scratches. The seat cover saves my seats from hair, scratches and drool. It’s an excellent design.

It has straps and clips to hook to keep it in place. If something gets on it, I just wipe with a wet rag.

Doing a great job so far. Our dachshund seems content with it. Almost perfect except for one detail – if one doesn’t remember to unzip the division zipper prior to folding the rear seat on one side the zipper can be damaged.

Rideshare clients are really bad about just grabbing the handle and dropping the seat. On that note, you guys should consider marketing to Uber/Lyft drivers. Overall, an excellent product.

We have had the new cover for a week now and it is everything the manufacturer promised. Our puppy seems to be a bit calmer which is a good thing because he doesn’t travel well. Love the design; especially the hammock.

My Brutus needs a closed area in the car due to excessive shedding. Three of the four zipper pulls came off on the first day of use. Multiple attempts were made to put the zipper pulls back on without any success.

The straps that hold the sides up are impossible to take off. The latch appears to be a one way snap. Will let strap go on, but does not want to release the strap while loading and unloading your pet.

If you don’t need a closed area and your pet is small enough to lift in and out of your vehicle this is nicer than the average backseat dog cover (I have owned 8 over the years). Thicker, better material, rubber studded bottom for no slipping and is larger than the rest I have purchased.

However, it is useless for my particular needs. Hope they fix the zipper and side strap issues, would love to try it again when these flaws are fixed.

The only thing I would change is the front where it goes behind the front seat. If a dog puts it’s feet up there it sags. I plan to sew a pvc bar in it to stabilize that part. Otherwise I love it. When I am not using it for my dog it has been used to haul plants or groceries.

My dog feels much more secure in it than just loose in the seat. The side panels protect the doors. Great value for the money.

I recently got a dog and wanted a cover to prevent my back seat from getting hairy so I just quickly ordered this product thinking it would do the job – and it has gone above and beyond! It completely covers the backseat and even the backs of the front seats keeping everything clean.

I found out my dog gets motion sick so she’s thrown up a few times and none of it leaked through and was easy to wipe up. It also zips up in front of the doors which was another feature I didn’t know I needed until my dog decided to jump out of the car right after I opened the door.

The fabric there seems to prevent her from doing this and there is also a leash/seatbelt that we have attached to her collar so she can’t jump out. Overall, I’m so happy with this seat cover and all the features it offers that I didn’t even know I needed.

We tried to use this one time and everything on it was falling apart. The zipper part broke off the seem and the hook to hold the side up snapped off. I definitely will not be using anything like that again.

We have a 60 lb mixed breed (11 years) and a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles (20 lb. ) We always use a shoulder harness and seat belt strap when travelling. This gives both of them a little more room to stetch out and relax, and eliminates the chance of them falling on the floor boards, in the event of a sudden stop.

Things to note. Before we got the FurHaven, our older dog could jump to the floorboard and then climb onto the back seat. When this is installed, he either gets trapped on the floor board under the FurHaven, (happened once, he was more confused than anything) or I need to pick him up and place him on the seat.

Even with the pet car ramp we have, the angle is too steep for him to jump up, so he always has to be lifted in. And then when it is time to get out, he is afraid of the height and shies away for me to even pick him up to get out.

Just a consideration for owners of older, larger dogs with mobility issues. For reference, the seat in my truck is about Minor design flaws: The spring clip hooks are evry difficult to undo from the cloth loops.

The spring clips are plastic with a metal spring loaded clip. The plastic part has a small “hook” that the open wire frame closes on. Probably a “locking” design, but that hook catches the cloth on the loops.

I did a “mod” and installed large metal key rings to make install and removal easier. An easier fix would be to use small carabiners for kets, but not sure how durable they would be for the long haul.

, The back seat covers upper corners tend to flop down. nothing to keep them up. The elastic strap that goes behind the eat might be better anchored higher up near these corners. I haven’t figured a good remedy for this yet.

I may install a grommet on my own in the corners and secure with a short bungee cord to the shaft on the back head rests.

I had one of these for months before a strap broke. I wasn’t happy, but I figured maybe it was normal wear and tear. It might have been from a different manufacturer because it took me a minute to find this exact kind again (the one that comes with floor boards, which is much better for my dog).

This one had the zipper break in less than a week of use. This means the boards are exposed, so they provide almost no benefit. One is frayed already, and they all shift around now because there’s nothing keeping them “rooted”, so it basically negates the advantage of this design.

For the cost, I am extremely unhappy. When you look at the zipper quality too, you can see how poorly it is built. It’s basically $80 down the drain for me.

This is the second backseat barrier/bridge I have purchased. I wanted this one because I thought the mesh panel in the barrier would allow the air conditioning to better reach my dog in the backseat.

I also liked the versatility of being able to unzip and fold up portions of the cover to make room for human passengers in the back seat. However, I will be returning this one and reverting to my old backseat bridge.

This one from Furhaven isn’t as rigid on the bottom as my old one so my 45lb puppy (who will ultimately be 90lbs+) causes it so sag/bulge in the middle when she sits on it. My old one would hold up both my dogs who were 60lbs and 105lbs without sagging.

The option to fold up portions of the barrier and lock them in place to allow room for human passengers in the backseat is more cumbersome than it’s worth. Lastly, my puppy has a hard time getting traction on the material of this cover.

I like the product, the color was a perfect match for my interior, durability is to be seen. The elastic seat corner straps were sufficient but the clip anchor was a mystery. There were no accompanying instructions and although installation was fairly self-evident, the clips to secure the sides could have used some directions.

I really like this seat cover. It covers the entire back seat of my Silverado and is comfortable for my dog to lay on. the last one I had didn’t cover the whole seat and was made of material that was cold for Blue to lay on in the winter.

Fits Rav4 perfectly. Easy to install, stays in place. Hangs down on sides and in front so those areas are protected also. Dog seems to love it – he’s not sliding around on the vinyl upholstery anymore.

I have been searching for a seat cover for the back of the truck for a few months. Even entertained the idea of making something myself. We have two German Shepherds. They shed, a lot. I would cover the seats with blankets or sheets and it really didn’t help.

This product blew me away the second I opened it. The quality is incredible! It fits easily and fast (compared to other product installations), looks beautiful, is cushioned, covers thoroughly, and our dogs love it! Really, really great product! AND I notice it comes with a lifetime guarantee.

who does that anymore? Part of the reason why I’m so happy is that I spent a lot of time researching to the perfect back seat cover for our Honda CRV. Previously, we used product with a canvas type material that, though said to be washable, would eventually crack and wear out.

While it was waterproof, it was thin and slippery on the seat. To pad it, we had to place towels underneath. This product solves all previous problems, and is worth the cost!.

Item is priced right, was shipped in a hurry, and appears to be made of quality material. Installation onto the second row of seats was straightforward and easy. Have not tried to seat passengers in the back since the cover was installed so unsure how/if seat belt passages will work.

Seat cover does a good job keeping dirt and dander off of the seats and allows for use of either a blower or vacuum to clear out debris. Do not know how it will fare in washing. Reason for 4 out of 5, the cover is an extremely tight fit on the 2017 Yukon XL.

Either way, unless continued use indicates otherwise, I do recommend this product.

Okay, so this should be a good product. It is water repellent and very easy to clean. However, a few things really let it down: it’s so, so noisy. I have used other water repellent seat covers that do not make this much noise.

It was incredibly annoying. Also, my dogs slid around all over it. Annoying for them, annoying for me. I could live with that, though. However, what I could not live with was when my dog, for the first time ever, urinated in the car.

The holes for seat belts are just that. Holes. The water repellent nature of the cover meant that the liquid sat on the surface of the cover, until it reached one of the seat belt holes, went straight through the hole and just covered my (cloth) seats in dog urine.

This seems like somewhat of a design flaw to me. I ultimately returned it. I love Ruffwear products on the whole, but this was not one of them.

Deceptive product photos and listing! Buyer beware if you plan to have a nicely organized, compact, and self-contained set cover. Despite the appearance of product photos and videos, this gangly monster cannot be refolded and restored to the slim shape that it arrives in.

This is meant to be crammed into the rocketlike a sleeping bag stuff sack rendering it totally useless for my purposes. Unfortunately, I only found out after use or it would be returned in a hot minute.

To add to the disappointment, my dog sort of despises the bulky, cover as it is thins and crunchy sounding yet the hammock length winds up being bulky and in the way of his exiting and entering a vehicle.

The VGB would have used it nonetheless if it lived up to my expectations of having a compact cover for travel.

We bought this for our 50lb goldendoodle since he gets excited about going out and walks from one window to the other. He used to wear a seatbelt but since he moved around a lot, would get stuck. This has really helped with him not moving around and deter tracking in dirt and water.

He has acclimated to it just fine – sitting, standing, lying down, resting his head on the edge. He did jump out once but he’s smart and knows not to do that or else he’ll not only be in the hammock but also with a seat belt.

I have a 2015 Lexus ES which is pretty good sized sedan and this takes a passenger seat and middle seat. I wanted to see how it was during a road trip with another person in the back. On our 3 hour road trip, he did really well and our other person seemed comfortable.

I didn’t really understand the pockets on the inside. I didn’t look at the instructions and thought it was inside out because I really thought the pockets were supposed to be on the other side for the comfort of the passenger and not to have your dog mess around with it.

Easy to put on and take off once you get the straps adjusted.

to be honest. I was afraid to spend so much on a car seat cover but now i can say it is worth it. we bought it for our Ford escape and it fits well! my dog took to it quickly (I think he was tired of accidentally sliding off the seat).

the downsides: my front seat has a rounded shoulder so one of the corners can’t attach well so it can be a little flappy if the windows are down. But, my dog doesn’t care so i guess neither do I. another downside: seatbelts! if you buckle your dog.

you won’t like this. I have found with many kurgo covers that the stupid flap that covers the seat belt thing is stiff and super uncomfortable for your dog to sit on. not to mention often too small of an opening for the seatbelt itself.

Solution: we used a seatbelt that attaches to the headrest and a plush dog bed for him to lay on! Overall I would say it is worth the try. my 60lb dog fits fine (curled up) and seems content in it.

I have a Hyundai Veloster turbo 2019 and since it’s a hatch back it’s going to take me a while to find a good crate that will actually fit in the car to hold my 75lb lab. This is perfect for us since my car only has 3 doors And I don’t want him seated behind me or ruining my white leather seats after going out and getting muddy at work.

I won’t be using the pockets on the inside I think it would be better if they where on the opposite side. The zippers also have covers that velcro down which is excellent. If you dog is not a chewer and is well behaved in car rides I highly recommend this cover ! Brutus comfortable curls up and sits in this hammock Totally a win for me.

Bought in time for a trip from the Bay Area to Seattle. Not only is this really cute, it feel sturdy and there was no yucky smell out of the box. Fit well in the back seat of our Outback. It doesn’t get too hot in the sun (we had a lot of +90 degree days traveling) and it helped our dog feel more secure.

She’s a pom-peke who normally rides in back with a travel harness attached to the car seat hook by a short leash, but if it’s long enough for her to stand up and look out the window, it’s long enough for her to fall off the seat on a sudden stop.

This helped prevent that, though at one point I looked back and she was fast asleep between the door and where the cover rises up behind the seat (!!) Not ideal but still overall more safe than no seat hammock/cover at all, and this probably wouldn’t happen to a larger dog.

There’s a hole for her harness attachment to fit through- it would be ideal if it were a tiny bit larger to more easily accomodate the car seat hook. The other nice thing about this while traveling is that we could store stuff underneath in the seat well where it was less visible.

Overall I’m glad I bought this.

I’ve had car hammocks before but this one is much higher quality. I love the non-slip backing and the padded quilting. It’s definitely more durable and well made than others I’ve owned. Plus, so much prettier! I have an old dog with arthritis and balance issues.

This helps him stay safe in the car and gives me peace of mind. He’s been much more steady since putting this in my car. I love the pattern as well, it helps hide fur and little stains while also looking cute.

The quality of this seat cover is great! I love the vibrant colors and how it easily fit into my 2020 GMC Canyon backseat. Its so easy you don’t need directions, I installed the seat anchor, then looped the nylon strap over each headrest – instant protection! I’ve trained my dog to stay on one of the seats, so I just roll the “extra” fabric up or use it to keep his fur off items I am transporting in the backseat next to him.

I have not yet had to transport a wet dog or peeing pup, so I cant speak to how well it protects against water. The only thing I may modify is to add some velcro to help keep the corners of the mat up on the seat shoulders.

My pup likes to give passengers kisses sometimes and Ive noticed his aggressive kisses causes the protective cover to pull back as he’s reaching up to kissie!.

This seat hammock was more expensive than some, but well worth it. Pieces that slip between seat backs and seats keep it secure, so my dog was comfortable for a long road trip. Easy to place into the car, it completely covered the seats.

I especially liked the extra side flaps that hang down between seat and door. The versatility of the zippers adds another plus. I was able to fold down one seat and still keep hair and scratching claws off car seats.

this cover fits our 2013 Toyota Highlander bench seat really nice. it has kept our leather seats protected from nails, dirt, throw up, and pee (oh my)! we love the hammock because it helps keep our girl safer, and we like the split seat zipper feature for the option of more cargo space when needed.

we also benefit from the seat belt openings for passengers.

Out of the box, this seems descent enough for the price. Beyond easy to install. In a cold (around 32) dark parking lot with only the interior lights and a parking lot light, and purposely going slow to kill time, this took les than10 min.

If you have a full size pick-up, this is definitely the size you want (the ones that are 57 inches will fall just short). Our 55 lbs. 6 month old GS pup still drools a lot on rides. Drool cleaned up easy.

Waterproof? I’m sure if you clean up shortly after a mess, it will do the job. Just remember that the one side is “hook & loop” and THAT is not waterproof.

This is great. I just bought a new car and wanted to keep the fur factor down. The material is not slippery and it stays in place. The hair is easily vacuumed off of it at the car wash. The straps and buckles are sturdy and they stay put – my 60+lb dog has a habit of standing on it where it suspends over the floor and the straps remain tight.

My only dislike is there’s about an inch of extra material between the back straps that does not lay flat on the seat (kno I’m a perfectionist). But that’s on me because I didn’t measure my seat before ordering.

Other than that it’s a great fit, looks nice and keeps everything contained. Love the side flaps too. If it helps anyone purchasing in the future for size reference -I have a 2021 Kia Forte GT line.

We bought this for my truck to take our fur babies camping with us. Needed something bigger than what we had for our other vehicle. This one fill the bill perfectly. It fits nicely in the back seat, is easier to use than the other one, and the fabric appears tougher and more durable.

Just unhook it from the front seats and it folds down to accommodate passengers too. Overall we are quite pleased.

Very disappointed in the quality. It is super thin and poorly made. There’s no way this would be waterproof/resistant. There is only one layer of material, so if you hold it up to the light, you can see through where the stitching is.

I’m sure if you had a wet dog, the water would run down the slick material and then soak through wherever it finds stitching. I requested to return the item when I realized how poorly it was made. Target issued a full refund and told me to just keep it/dispose of it.

I like that it has adjustable straps and pockets. It also has a zipper down the center of it which I kept half way down so the AC would reach my pooch in the back seat. I would recommend this for SMALL breeds only.

Maybe medium but definitely not large or xl breeds. My dog is an 80lb growing Great Dane and in just two months there is a random tear all across the bottom. She’s not a rowdy dog. She does walk from window to the other but even then she hardly moves.

We just got a puppy and even though we have her in a safety harness, we didn’t want her thinking she could jump into the front seat. There are seat belt slits in this cover which made it easy to attached her restraint.

And there are pockets where we can keep her leash and a few other things. The material feels strong and I think it’s waterproof. Great price too!.

The photos speak for themselves. This wasn’t the same style I had but it is the same brand. It was advertised waterproof, scratch proof, and heavy duty. A canvas/burlap type material with a plastic backing.

Installation was easy enough, and it had sides to it that came down around the seat (think like a fitted sheet) and tucked under (shown in 1 of the photos) This was 8 months of use. We do A LOT of hiking, the weather doesn’t care and woods are often damp and muddy.

I figured a seat cover would be helpful not wanting the back seat to get damaged. We all know how fun those are to try and clean. I figured heavy duty and scratch proof would be perfect for my large pit bull.

Evidently not! If you have a Chihuahua, Pomeranian or other tiny dog breed this will likely work great for you. If you have a senior dog who isn’t very active this will likely work for you. If you have a large dog that is super active and goes for car rides often forget about it.

I was looking for a new seat cover after my seat hammock started falling apart. My biggest complaint with my hammock was that when my bulldog would jump into the car, he would always bunch up the hammock and ended up on the actual car seat.

I really liked how this one had straps for the bottom of the seat and now I no longer have that problem. My little guy can jump in and out of the car with the cover not moving an inch! My very first use with this cover was on a rainy day and his muddy paw prints stayed right on the cover where they should be.

The cover also dried quickly and feels very durable.

This is a very nice seat cover especially for the price that I paid. It pops right on when I’m taking the pup for a ride. It is sealed well and dust and dirt do not penetrate through anywhere. My previous doggy seat cover had such an issue.

The only complaint that I have about this seat cover and it is minor is that in my sports car with the very high back bucket seats which do not have a separate headrest, the headrest is built in, this item does not reach the top although the straps do go around the top of the narrowed high back seat.

So it does job. No dog that I know of will be above that point so as long as the straps hold up the back of the seat cover I am pleased.

It is very durable and wet proof. It stays in place. Love it. I bought another one after receiving my first one.

Since I bought this seat cover in October, I’ve been trying to make it work. 1) The seat part itself fits decently but the straps prevented a snug fit. I ended up restitching the straps closer together which fixed this issue.

2) Fur, dirt, food, and whatever else ends up under the seat cover due to the seat-belt slits being gaping holes with no adaptability. I made seat-belt sleeves and attached them, blocking off the holes, but I am still finding a mess under the cover.

3) It is water resistant – barely. The water, drool, mud, and other liquids sit on top of the cover for a second or two before it either seeps through the cover and into your seats or rolls off onto your flooring.

Save yourself the money, time, and effort. This seat cover isn’t worth it.

Bought extra long in tan for my 2016 Subaru Outback. Not a snug fit but works to protect my tan leather seats! Easy straps that I put over the headrest. Only issue is holes for the seatbelts aren’t perfectly aligned and one hole is too small for the two buckle things in the seat that are next to each other.

Not sure how waterproof it is but my dog doesn’t urinate in the car so not as an important feature for me. Most important is the fabric seems thick enough to withstand my 45 lb dog and is comfortable enough for my kids to sit on.

This is a good quality car seat cover, and the fabric is nice and thick. It lays well in my back seat, and it protects my leather seats very well. It was easy to install as well. I have not used the hammock portion of it yet.

Here is why is I gave it only 4 stars. I think it really needs anchors that slip in between the seats to hold it in place. Otherwise, it does slide around quite a bit. I actually cut the anchors out of an old, cheap car seat cover and sewed them onto this, and now it really stays put! Also, the seat belt holes need to be a little bigger.

It is really hard to access the seat belt clips. But overall, this is the best seat cover I have encountered, and I do recommend!.

This is the perfect seat cover for my dog. It provides me with privacy with storage on the back floor, and keeps my dog from getting to the bags. He loves going for rides, and this keeps my back seat protected from his hair and anything that he brings into the car.

I found this to be too small for my cross-over so there’s no way it would be big enough for a standard SUV. It’s very cheaply made even though it cost the same as the one I had previously. The buckles will probably break the first time any pressure is applied.

Ugh, total waste of money unless you have small dogs.
