Best Season Of Clone Wars (2024 Updated)

Disney does not make good 4k products, as they upscale and use fake HDR. Their spund volume has always been a problem as well. All Disney Star Wars 4k discs are upscales from the then George Lucas BD’s.

I bought them all then returned all but Revenge of the Sith, since this was supposed to have been the one with the technical (color) upgrade. I did an A/B comparison between 4k and the BD, and the BD is sharper and more detailed.

This is because the latter two prequels were recorded in 1080p digital, with Sith having used the full 4:4:4 color while Clones used 4:2:2 or so. I did not see any improvement that go me excited. If you have the BD’s, stick with those because they are the resolution they are supposed to be – 1080P, and it cannot get any better, as it is essentially capped.

Some may feel compelled to buy, but you will be disappointed if ypu expected real 4k and HDR.

I’ve really come to enjoy Star Wars Episodes I-III. I was not a huge fan when they came out originally, but I think Episodes I-VI are excellent to watch. This was supposed to come with a slipcover, and it was advertised online with a slipcover look.

The only Star Wars of this edition that came with a slipcover was Return of the Jedi. I returned every one but Return of the Jedi to try to get the slipcover, but the replacements only arrived with just the plastic case.

Whatever.

For prequel fans, ROTS in 4k HDR is a real treat. The first two prequel films have hit and miss transfers, but here the transfer shines! Color and black levels are superb. The HDR grading makes for a sumptuous color experience.

Note how the light sabers have that “pop”. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is thunderous as well. ROTS is a crowning achievement for George Lucas. Unlike the inept Disney sequels, here we have a story with meat on the bones.

Highest recommendation!.

Great series! I have Disney +, but you never know when there comes a time that it goes away… like Netflix…

My son has been waiting and waiting and when I finally saw a decent price for it @ Walmart. com, I got it for him. Now I’m the best dad in the world; at least for this week! The producers of the series did a pretty good job of connecting some final pieces to “Revenge of the Sith” but there still are some holes; I hear they’re going to be putting out a Season 6 soon; can’t wait!.

As a Star Wars fan you will love the story easy to binge watch so be careful and take your time. You won’t want to miss a single minute.

These animated features broke new ground with their craft. Although the animation is starting to show it’s age. This is still a tour de force in writing character development and overall story. It gives a much fuller understanding into the machinations of the Sith in that they created the problem and then provided the only answer, visavis the clones, to a police force ill equipped for fighting a war that was unforseen.

The battlefield creates a bond and trust between fellow combatants, so when they were depending upon the clone troops the most the Sith were able to use them to stab the Jedi in the back. If you only watched the movies this subtlty might have escaped you as no real reference was provided in the script.

This is actually a very entertaining series! Even being a fan of the movies, I began watching The Clone Wars with with some skepticism, but to my continual delight, I found myself being drawn in to the series and looking forward to each new episode on Friday nights.

The Jedi characters are, obviously, the action heroes of the show; as they should be in a animated series about Star Wars. But its the peripheral or supporting characters which really make the series fun to watch.

The introduction of new characters, such as clone Captain Rex and the bounty hunter Cad Bane have added an extra dimension to the Star Wars universe. You do not necessarily need to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy this DVD.

All you have to be is one to enjoy good clean entertainment and not expect it to be a serious drama. It is, after all, an animated action-adventure show.

The best Star War-Clone Wars cartoon graphic details ever made. Character’s voices are perfect, approval by George Lucas, and special effect are awesome. To bad Cartoon Network is the only TV show that presents this excellent series.

The DVD could be used to make future Star Wars movies. I have all 5 Seasons. You can really get hooked if you like Star Wars.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a nice edition to add to any Star Wars collection. It’s a computer animated film. Fun to watch. Recommended to fans of Star Wars and anyone who likes sci-fi animated movies.

If you own the series, it’s a must have.

The film opens without the traditional scrolling prologue and is replaced by a transatlantic voice that would have been at home in a 1980’s Saturday morning cartoon. From here we are thrown into episode 2.

5 of the Star War saga. Without giving too much away about the plot: the acting and characters are wooden and two dimensional, even for a kids film (or for that matter a recent Star Wars film). The dynamic between Anakin Skywalker and his new sidekick, will grate on the nerves of anyone over the age of 8 years old.

The stiff animation makes everyone come across as a cross between an action figure and a Thunderbird. Another problem is for a theatrically released film, it’s “shot” (if you can call it that) in an almost camera-nailed-to-the-ground fashion.

Compared to recent Pixar efforts, it looks about as cinematic as a midday tele-movie. The saving grace of this film are the fight scenes, which somewhat make up for the film failings everywhere else.

As a spin off from the Star Wars franchise it’s OK at best, as a kids film there’s much better, as a pilot episode to the upcoming cartoon series it’s watchable and if compared to a direct to DVD Disney sequel, it’s decent.

I bought this product, because I am a fan of the show on tv. I wanted to see how this movie lead into the tv series that is currently on Cartoon Network. I thought the movie was really good, for example on how they introduce Ahsoka into the mix.

The storyline was great, and the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that there is a few times when the movie feels kinda slow or drawn out a little too much. Other then that I really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to any Clone Wars fan out there!.

This is one of the greatest TV shows ever and it certainly is the greatest animated show I have ever seen. The show has amazing in being able to show many different aspects of the clone wars around the galaxy with the creation of amazing characters like Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, and Asajj Ventress and the amazing portrayals of classic characters like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Mace Windu, Commander Cody, fives, Echo THEEE Bad batch and many others.

The clones are humanized in a way not thought possible and they are completely changed from being a mindless army of clones to a diverse group of individuals that you find yourself deeply caring for.

The show is able to grow as each season goes on, slowly maturing into becoming a rather dark show. This show is not without its missteps, but overall it is undeniably fantastic. Arcs like Umbara, Mortis, bounty hunters, Order 66, and the finale Siege of Mandalore are rich in themes and good story and the ending of the show is absolutely heartbreakingly perfect.

Growing up watching this show to be being able to see the final season at age 12 was an unreal experience. No show will be able to match the encompassing and intense effect this show had on me throughout my formative years.

George Lucas and Dave Filoni knocked it out of the park and brought some gravitas to an animated series in the galaxy far far away. This was the greatest TV show ever as a kid especially watching the finally it was really sad especially what you hear.

Clone Wars series is one of the best Star Wars stories. It dwells on how Anakin descends into darkness. It shows more about unknown Jedi and Empire foes in depth character. It also helps viewers understand more about the force.

As a fan of the Star Wars franchise since its original release waaaay back in 1977, my opinions on all things related to that galaxy far, far away tend to be a bit biased. That said, there is no fandom more critical of its source franchise than Star Wars fans.

I am NOT that fan that would buy a pile of brown waste simply because it’s called “Bantha Poodoo” and has the Star Wars header across the top of the package. Fortunately, The Clone Wars animated series is definitely not Bantha Poodoo.

With consistently high quality animation and writing, these stories allowed me to spend some quality “Star Wars time” with my own children while being able to enjoy the show on my own at the same time.

The Lost Missions provide the opportunity for fans to own the last episodes of this fantastically rendered series previously only available through Netflix, as the final season was lost to Cartoon Network during the purchase of Lucasfilm Ltd.

by the Disney megalopoly. These final pre-House of Mouse episodes offer a bit of closure to the fans of the show, as well as just some good ol’ fashioned fun to the more casual viewer. An entertaining watch for anyone, and a must-have for die-hard fans.

I’m not a fan of animated versions of comic books. This strikes me as one. Nonetheless, I wanted to see the bridge between Star Wars episodes II and III. This serves the purpose. I suppose I will need to see the Clone War series to complete that bridge.

I just feel that if it was important enough to exhibit, it should have been live, or at least, CGI.

This animated movie is essential viewing for any SW fan. Plus it features the introduction of Ahsoka Tano and Anakin’s hilarious skepticism of having her as his Padawan. Seriously, peeps, Ahsoka is the best fictional character since Kitara (“Last Airbender” series).

This is a great movie, especially for the younger Star Wars fans. Takes place between Episode II and Episode III of Star Wars, and directly during/before The Clone Wars Animated Series on TV. Must have for the Star Wars collector.

I found the character’s engaging especially the ones between Anakin and Amidala. I liked the way the stories were on the darker side setting up the Revenge of the Sith for it’s train wreck of a bad day for the Jedi.

I found the whole series to be a great addition to the Star Wars pantheon and have no trouble seeing them in the whole Star Wars universe as cutesy or for kids only. This is not the case especially with the episodes of the clone trying to get that chip out of his head.

I was really excited to find this DVD collection. My boys watched the Clone War series as kids and they loved it. It is a throw back to their childhood. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This DVD is worth the money spent. Each episode peels a layer of a revealing plot that links the separatist forces with the dark side. However, they could’ve added more episodes that led to the attack on coruscant and the kidnapping of the chancellor.

That would’ve explained how count dooku and general grievous got around the senate without being detected by the jedis and the guards. Still, it’s a good addition to the clone wars saga volumes.

I Know There Might Be Some Episodes/Scenes That Make You Go, “Meh,” But Doesn’t EVERY Piece Of Entertainment? I Am Confident That Anyone Who Likes Adventure Will Enjoy Star Wars: The Clone Wars Very Much! See It! Cheers!.

The whole concept of this sci-fi cartoon series is uplifting and has ethical context. Excellent for whole family to watch. Great production quality. The physical DVD and permanent packaging appears to be in like-new condition.

Really enjoyed this third season of the series hopefully they’ll keep with the darker tones and not with the comedy aspect. The DVD collection is a real must for those not having the time for enduring those annoying commercials on Cartoon network.

I can’t wait for season Four of this collection! This collection comes in a fine package too. And it’s a nice to see it’s not been some bootlegged collection like some other site that I won’t mention! It was nice to get this on Ebay too cause at least here I get a choice of price if you want a series to watch this is the one to get!.

After the success of his live action and legendary Star War films. Little was unknown of the clone war era. Little was detailed in the feature films in anticipation of his new Clone Wars cartoon launching on Cartoon Network, Lucas launched this movie in theaters and started a series of untold stories.

With animation unseen before now, Lucas weaves plots and characters of familiarity in the process of adding new characters. Familiar locations are revisited and new are explored for the first time. Even Samuel L.

Jackson and Christopher Lee who portrayed Jedi Master Mace Windu and Sith Lord Count Dooku return to lend there voices to the movie. The rest of the original actor and actresses did not return. Please remember, this is the movie and is a prequel to what you can expect of the series.

They are currently in there second season of the Clone Wars show and season one is now available on DVD/Blu-ray. The animation is superb, but the voice over of the actors can throw you off a little. All in all, the movie is really good and I enjoyed it because I am a Star Wars fan.

Like the 2003 animated short films of the same name, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS reveals what happened during the conflicts of the title, which are set between EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES and EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH.

Unlike the former series, this CLONE WARS feature film uses computer animation (rather than more traditional 2-D animation) to tell its tales, which follow Obi-Wan Kenobi (voiced by James Arnold Taylor), Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter), and precocious new Jedi recruit Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) as they face off against the sinister Separatist forces led by Count Dooku (the legendary Christopher Lee, who reprises his role from the live-action movies).

The film also features appearances by such beloved characters as Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson, also of EPISODES II and III), C3PO (Anthony Daniels), and Yoda (Tom Kane). Directed by Dave Filoni (AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER), THE CLONE WARS shares the same era and characters as the 2003 series, but is stylistically quite different, with a blocky look influenced in part by the marionettes of the 1960s U.

K. show THUNDERBIRDS. While the voices of actors such as Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christiansen, and Frank Oz are missed, their successors handle their mantles well, confidently leading the heroes in fierce battles and tense chases.

Though diehards of the original STAR WARS trilogy may shrug their shoulders at the CGI wizardy, young fans will find much to enjoy in this action-packed movie, which promises to be continued in a regular Cartoon Network TV series.

My 6 year old son loves it – it is HIS Star Wars! My Star Wars, apparently, are the ones with actors. He likes it because it fits in with the Clone Wars series on TV right now. It was a great value, in fact, I bought several more, to give as gifts.

I love it because he loves it, there is nothing to dislike about it. It’s a good movie for him.

Clone Wars may be the closest Star Wars has come to its original inspiration. Like the movie serials that inspired it, each episode stands alone but is also part of a larger arc. After a mediocre start with the Clone Wars movie the series got much better and with this season rises to new heights.

We get several multipart story arcs, including one the focuses on the Mandalorian commandos, a group I’ve wanted to see more of since Boba Fett debuted in 1980! Some episodes are tributes to classic films including a great Godzilla vs Star Wars 2 parter.

You can’t take these too seriously, they are aimed at younger audiences but they have mature moments, at one point a group of evil bounty hunters not only kill a hostage, we see his dead body drifting outside the ship.

The box set includes a book of concept art, a nice goody for those of us who remember the old Star Wars art books. There are fewer commentaries and background features then last time but there’s still enough to keep me very happy.

Good stuff. A lot of new cinematic’s in this season than the previous season. This season jumps around a bit though: not as stable as the first. Also, the first season had a special feature included for every episode, which showed some cool stuff about when they were making the episode.

I was GREATLY disappointed when I discovered that this had been knocked back to only one special feature per disc. I really think that took away from this series.

The package/case is awesome and comes with a really great booklet with fascinating concept art. This season is my favorite because of all the great characters, Bossk for one, and also the episodes in this season are most entertaining to me.

Growing up late 90’s/early 2000’s allowed me to view the prequel films as they were being released. Albeit I was too young for the phantom menace, I did have a good deal of love for Star Wars going into AOTC.

I rewatched this film the other day, and while it’s plagued with questionable dialogue, it’s got the heart of any Star Wars film you can think of, but told in a unique way. Not everyone has to like this film, and it’s understandable why one wouldn’t- but to discredit the efforts that went into this movie as a whole? Unacceptable.

There’s a great amount of detail and love in these prequel films and I feel as if this movie gets most of the flack. It’s an enjoyable film, and Hayden as Anakin is the best thing that’s ever happened in Star Wars.

Movie answers how Darth Vader became the villain that he is.

Republic Heroes is not the best game. The controls are not the best and the graphics were outdated when it was released. What it does have is authentic voice actors from the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon.

There is fun to be found in this game as the voice actors interact with each other, fighting droids is fun, and the plot feels like an episode from the show (even the introductions to each level have that lovable propaganda intro from the show).

Although a somewhat mediocre game, I highly recommend this game to fans of the Clone Wars show, it’ll be a perfect addition to your collection!.

The game is an enjoyable diversion that can be easily picked up and put down as time allows. The controls are a little weak because they suffer from an attempt to utilize the DS touchscreen when it would have been better served in other ways.

If you or your kids are a Star wars fan though, it’s a fun way to experience more of the clone wars in a slightly more interactive way.

These movies are timeless. I purchased these movies because my son loves playing STAR WARS ANGRY BIRDS and watching THE YODA CHRONICLES (Lego cartoon) and THE CLONE WARS on NETFLIX. I told him about the original trilogy movies and then the prequel trilogy and he looked at me like I was crazy.

We received the movies 3 days after ordered, just in time for the weekend. So we had a awesome weekend watching the original movies and looking forward to this coming weekend so we can watch the prequel trilogy.

He absolutely loved these movies and being able to spend time with him and watch him watching the movies I saw when I was his age is priceless. All in all, very happy I made this purchase, the movies are great.

My kids love episode one! My son is four years old and it has a perfect mix of humor, action and mild violence for a young kid who loves star wars like his dad. My daughter is 6 and loves it as well her and lil bro have some epic light-saber battles watching in the living room.

My favorite of the three is of course revenge of the sith. The saga lives on for even more generations to come. Love it! Also just bought episodes 4-6 for me.

I AM A HUGE STAR WARS FAN, but the pre-quels were a little disappointing. I enjoyed Ewan MacGregor performance, but Christiansen’s blowed. I felt Natalie Portman did a decent job but that’s all. There are other actors that added to the movie like the Late Christopher Lee, Jimmy Smits and Ian Mc Dermott.

It’s nothing special, but if you like Star Wars and wanted more movies well here U go. The recent sequels are so much better, but the originals are were it’s at.

As far as I’m concerned there are only 3 Star Wars Episodes. 4,5,6. The others are Digitally generated animations with a few actors thrown in and the title “Star Wars” slapped on as a money grab. Episodes 1, 2, 3 do NOT line up at all with the feel and look of 4,5,6.

The didn’t miss the mark, they missed the entire galaxy. Sad really. As if it wasn’t bad enough Lucas messed with 4,5,6 time and time again, he created these sub-par insults that go against everything that Lucas had worked so hard to create years ago.

As far as I’m concerned there are only 3 Star Wars episodes. 4,5,6.

My opinion of ”Attack of the Clones” is mixed, at best. I have general admiration for some of the action sequences and special effects. The more traditional dramatic elements, such as character development and dialogue, especially with respect to the relationship between Padm and Anakin are nothing short of laughable at points.

As is typical of the films of George Lucas, the dialog is stiff and flat. The acting (particularly by Christensen and Portman) leaves much to be desired. One of the best things that can be said about the film is that Jar Jar Binks plays only a minor role.

His awful attempts at comic relief seen in ”The Phantom Menace” were toned down; instead, C-3PO reprised some of his bumbling traditions in that role. It is sad to think that is a chief selling point for this film.

Taken as a whole, the film is barely worthy of the Star Wars legacy.

This is one of the most pivotal Cartoons Star Wars csme out with Debuting Two important villains from Both TV Series and The films. There’s also one of my favorite Characters in Voloff Monn. The first Volume Entails a large scale battle featuring Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Padme, Kit Fisto, Count Dooku, and many more recognizable Characters.

I don’t want to give too much away, But Anakin is Doing predictable Anakin, Yoda and Mace show off some strength, and The Battles take place by Ground, Sea, and Air. At a 69 minute run time, the action is Fast paced but feels like you are watching an actual Live action film.

As a star wars fan and a fan of the directors other work(samurai jack)this is a must have. You can watch it on Disney plus in two parts but with the DVDs you can watch it the way it aired by each individual episode.

It’s just much more convenient. And who knows how long it will be available digitally.

I love Star Wars. This is another piece to my collection. If you are like me, this is something you should have. It opens up a part of the mostly untold stories from the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars universe.

The Clone Wars last from the end of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones to the beginning of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Yes, that’s right; the Clone Wars are hardly depicted at all in the movies! So, that’s where this series picks of the slack.

This volume is, to me, a small morsel of the possible feast of possibilities. As you watch, you can tell that not even all the battles or even all the battles we DO see are shown. There are “snap shot” sequences of a few battles, but it mostly focuses on some of the campaigns that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker fight in.

It ends with a pre-Episode III glimpse at the prowess of General Grevious. There are plenty of action, including some awesome lightsaber displays. My only problem with the show: it was too short!!! It just wasn’t enough for me.

If you feel the same way after watching Star Wars-Clone Wars: Vol 1, then go look for Volume 2 where the action continues.

I got this for nostalgia and because, hey, I love the characters. That being said, it’s definitely not a good game. The controls are janky and the camera angles are horrible, and the way cutscenes sometimes cut off is just.

not great. If you’re a Clone Wars fan and want to run around as some of your faves, it’s worth it. Just don’t expect much else from it.

Great 2 player game. Seems to balance two players well. If one player gets left behind after a check-point the game resumes with 2 players. Keeps it fun and not needing to prove yourself worthy to move forward.

This is the first version of the Clone Wars cartoon and superior to the computer animated version. It has the animation done by the guys who made Samurai Jack. Full of excitement and cliffhangers like the Saturday matinee serials that Star Wars was based on.

The dvds are well done.

Highly recommended! My kids are 4 and 7 years old, and they both absolutely love this disc and watch it repeatedly. I rented volume 1 for them at my local video store once, knowing that my kids had an interest in Star Wars through Legos, and we ended up re-renting it a couple of times because they liked it so much.

When I tracked down volume 2 on half. com I had to get it for them. I also ended up just buying the copy we rented from the video store, lol. I have to say that even as a peripheral fan of Star Wars, I enjoyed these animated Clone Wars DVDs as well, and they have in fact made me a bigger SW fan.

The lion’s share of the characters are recognizable from Episodes I, II and III. The animation by Cartoon Network artists is top-notch, if a bit caricature-like, but that adds to the unusual look. They even matched a lot of the voice talent to sound like the films.

George Lucas himself provided guidance and approval, and the music is all John Williams, lifted from the original movies, and it really gives it an authentic feel. I guess this used to be a TV series, but on these discs you get to see all the episodes strung together like one long film.

Nothing too objectionable or scary here; my son is the 4 year old and he hasn’t had any adverse reactions to scenes. There is a lot of laser gun shooting and stuff being blown up during space battles, and of course the usual light saber battles, but no blood or realistic stuff at all (a lot of clone troopers and Empire battle droids get stomped, shot at or cut up, but they’re robots).

On the back of the DVD it says that it’s suitable for all ages, but I wouldn’t necessarily show it to kids who have had no exposure to Star Wars at all. It’s mostly about the good guys (Jedi knights) versus the evil Sith fighters, and I would say on a par with any animated Batman or Superman animated films.

Definitely great for younger Star Wars (or any other sci-fi) fans.

Aside from the interesting story telling, action sequences and great animation, Vol. 2 explains the sequence of events as you approach the very first scene from Star Wars Episode 3. I almost wish that Lucas either started Ep III with this cartoon, or showed just shot and included the last 9 minutes of this story as the beginning of the movie.

It is that good. My son, who is 6, has watched all the movies and the two relevant Clone Wars animated DVDs. The expanded treatment of this particular set of stories is one of his favorites. I cannot say why, but he is very engaged, asks a multitude of questions and is focused while viewing Vol 2.

Im not sure if it was stated in the description but I assumed it was mint in the box. But when it arrived the outside of the box looked good but when I opened it the plastic casing was all carved into.

But the figure seemed fine.

As a big Starwars fan I could not be more happy with this amazing action figure, very well detailed and good quality.

This DVD set was purchases to complete the Clone Wars set I have been collecting, and watching. As a Star Wars fan, This dvd set for season four, aired on Cartoon Network, is excellent. The DVD sets for previous seasons, along with this one are telling more about the Clone Wars, that are mentioned in the Star Wars movies, but never shown there.

The animation is excellent. The sound effects are convincing and well matched to the scenes where they are used. I would recommend not just the Season four DVD set, but all of the season sets. They blend well with the movies, filling in the gaps.

When Season five is available, I will purchase it as well. An excellent way to complete the Star Wars saga. As the Jedi returned, I would like to see them make another film or two, showing how the Jedi were reformed and re-established as peacekeepers, within the republic, after the Empire was destroyed.

To me, I have no dislikes about any of the Clone Wars DVD sets. They are all excellently drawn and animated.

Who would’ve thought cartoons would add so much to the Star Wars Universe. The stories are great. Nice to know George Lucas was directly involved.
