20 Best Sea Salt Spray For Fine Hair (2023 Updated)

THIS IS THE BEST SEA SALT SPRAY! Trust me, I have tried so many ranging from $7-$40. This one is the best. Just purchased my second bottle because it will last you so long! Beautiful light, warm vanilla like scent and a big 8.

5 ounce bottle and a mid-range price for a salon product. I love this forever and ever! The before after pictures are just on my air dried hair and scrunching, no tools or heat.

Looove this product, my old salt spray has been discontinued so I was frantically looking for a new one. Luckily I took a chance on Davines and turns out its better! A small amount produces so much texture.

Oh and it’s cruelty free which is a must. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve always been a bit iffy on adding on sea salt spray as part of my routine but I decided to give it a try (apart from the small sample I’ve used) and I’m glad I did. Not only do I use this daily, I sometimes skip the gel and use the spray to fix my bed hair when I’m running late.

I don’t really have other sea salt sprays to compare to but I’m sure this is probably one of the top products since Brickell makes other great products that I love to use. I would recommend other try this out.

It took a long time for me to find a product that ticked all the boxes for me. alcohol-free being the most important, but also light hold, no shine, little to no scent. The texture and volume it seems to add is just a bonus for me.

This is the only styling product I use and that will hopefully continue to be the case for a long time. Highly recommend.

This spray is what I’ve been needing for my fine, thin long hair. My hair tends to go flat on top so this spray really helped give it lift when I sprayed it on top as well as when I was doing the beachy waves look.

(Normally I might spritz only the bottoms where I’m rolling up the hair, but doing the tops too gave it lift even though my hair is long and easily weighed down. ) Nice smell that lingers subtly. I like that my husband and I can both use this.

(His hair is coarse and curly- the polar opposite of mine. ) I even started using it on my boys who have unruly hair, and I liked that the smell is natural and subtle, but definitely “there”, so they felt nice and clean smelling afterwards.

I usually just spray it all over my hair after showering, but one of my favorite things about it is that I can refresh my hair on a day it hasn’t been washed but is still mostly clean to get the look I want.

I just spray it on, roll it up loosely, and when it dries my hair looks actually decent. It’s my new favorite hair product. The only con for me is that you can definitely smell the coconut water in it, which is ok and quite nice except I wear a perfume that doesn’t match.

Fortunately it is subtle. My husband likes using it as well but uses it separately from the Byrd pomade. Great for a refresher in a gym bag or on vacation, or in my case, daily use. I received this product in exchange for my honest review and the opinions are my own.

Really gives good moisture to the hair, hair feels much softer and manageable after usage. Love that the scent is not overpowering and only a small amount is needed for each use. Do not apply on scalp.

Size of the bottle can last for a long time and quality of ingredients are good.

This is definitely not a product that I ever thought would exist. After using it, I think all it really does is make my hair smell good. I talked to my hair cutting person the other day and mentioned that I had it and she said that my hair is too short for it to really do anything.

She said “Imagine a surfer dude. Your hair needs to be that long. ” My hair is less than 2 inches long. That being said, if you are looking for something to make your hair smell like coconut, this is the product for you.

I received this spray in exchange for a review of it. I was kind of excited to see that, for me, it was a local company item. Seeing the price makes me think it is pretty pricey.

Verb is always killing it with their products, and this is definitely one of my favorites. A friend gave me their bottle because she never used it and I use this pretty much all the time. I have wavy/curly hair (2c/3a) that’s bleached platinum blonde and this gives me really natural beachy texture and emphasizes my natural texture without making it dry, crunchy, or gross like a lot of salt sprays do.

And unlike a sugar spray, while it’s a softer texturing spray, it still gives texture! I get that kind of lived-in, effortlessly messy look I love and still get to enjoy soft, shiny hair. It’s lightweight so it doesn’t make my roots greasy (great with my short hair) and gives a nice subtle boost of volume as well.

And it doesn’t dull my color a bit! My platinum is very icy/white toned and salt sprays can often either fade my toner a lot quicker or cause a weird dulling effect but this doesn’t. My color stays looking great and on-tone.

Highly recommend! I have long hair that is somewhere between straight and wavy (it also tends to frizz), and I usually find sea sprays don’t hold for long. I applied this liberally to damp hair, then gently blow dried and scrunched – it worked perfectly and held! To help it last further, I braided my hair at night and the next day there was a nice wave.

It also leaves a lovely matte finish without being crunchy/dry and creates a real “sea” texture that lasted 2 days! The price point is spot on – not too much and the bottle will last a while! Great product.

I absolutely love this spray, I am a huge sea spray fan I have about 4 in my collection. I have curly hair that has been damaged from constant heat styling and hair coloring, using these sprays on my now wavy hair has been a life saver.

I love the scent and I like that it doesn’t leave my hair crunchy or weird. I would recommend this for anyone who’s trying to give their hair a brake. My go to style on weekends/running errands hair is using this when my hair is slightly damp, then I put my hair in two loose braids.

Once your hair is dry (I wait at least 5 hrs. ) undo the braids and spray a little more and you are set. Also I use this to refresh my hair in the morning. I get tons of compliments when I use this product.

I heard the John Masters Organics Lavender Sea Mist recommended on YouTube. My hair needs grit to have maximum styling potential and this is great for that. I appreciate how the smell isn’t over powering and how the nozzle doesn’t spray too much at once.

It’s easy to gradually add however much you sense you need. I have two small complaints. The packaging is in a cheap plastic bottle with a small clear plastic cap that breaks or gets lost easily. I hope they repackage it.

The other thing is I like the texture it gives my hair, but I have go back in with another product to make it look shiny and healthy because this can make it look very dry. Not the end of the world unless you’re trying to be a minimalist.

There’s also some build up that takes extra time to get rid of in the shower. Coming from someone with very little, sparse, fine hair, this is a very good product with a little room for improvement.

Best sea salt spray I’ve used as of yet. Nothing compares. Great texture but doesn’t make my hair look dirty like others. It’s by far my favorite and I won’t use any others. I would rather use none than use anything else.

Redken is seriously an amazing brand all of their products are amazing if they say waves expect waves if it says volume you are getting your volume ! Let me say it louder for the people in the back ! Redken is affordable and amazing ! Stop buying off brand when you can have amazing products and affordable products.

I have fine hair that resists holding a style. When I got my hair cut, my stylist used this on my hair. It gave my hair body without being sticky. For me, it is not a product that doesn’t need anything else; I still use another product to give a bit more ‘humph,’ but it doesn’t weigh my hair down.

This has nothing to do with the product, but the bottle is slick. I keep it in my bathroom, to use right after I shower, and the bottle slips in my hand. Once it dropped and the spray pump broke. Luckily, not much product spilled, so I poured it into another spray bottle.

When I purchased the second bottle, I wrapped duct tape around it to act as an extra grip.

I’ve never heard of Playa before and was excited to try out this Endless Summer Spray. My first thoughts is that is smells so good! However, I also have to preface that I have wavy, frizzy hair that I straighten every day because it is a lot to deal with leaving my hair natural, so texture sprays are not something that I would ever reach for because I constantly remove the texture from my hair by straightening it.

I prefer my hair being pin straight and silky smooth. I also am not a fan of how my hair feels when I’m at the beach. My hair gets frizzy with the moisture and the salt in the air and I hate that sticky feeling.

So, being from Southern California and receiving a texture spray to mimic the southern California sea salt textured hair, for me it was a bad mix. I tried it out and I just I loved the smell but I couldn’t get with the texture thing.

I don’t get the hype behind texture sprays, I would die to have silky, smooth, straight hair. This definitely isn’t a product for me but I think it could be a product for many, many people out there.

I would recommend for anybody to try and see if this is some thing for them, unfortunately I would pass on this one.

This has been a go to since I started using Playa products when they launched. I have medium to long naturally wavy hair and on the days when I want the effortless beach wave I add this to my routine.

If I use after my shower at night then I air dry my hair for a bit spray this and put my hair in a bun, when I wake up and brush out I have great waves. If I use a flat iron to make curls or waves to have a more polished look then I spray when finished as a final step and work my hands through my hair for separation.

It gives me shine, hold, and added texture. Again, the smell is amazing! Packaging is simple. Sprayer on this bottle is great.

I received this product from Influenster and Playa in exchange of my honest review. The first time I used it was when we had a backyard party and it was sunny and a little hot outside so I have to tie my hair.

It makes my hair to stay in place especially that I have a lot of baby hair and they’re standing🤭 and so I have to put a hairpin or a clip to make it look more neater. This helped my baby hair to stay in place, plus it protects from Uv rays especially that I stayed outside for few hours.

The second picture that I uploaded was when I applied it with my damp hair. It makes my hair get more waves and I can make more waves just by using my fingers. It’s a good haircare product to use especially when you wanna have a beach wave hair ! I’m thankful to try this product but the reason why I can’t give a perfect 5 star because of the scent.

Like I said from the other product of Playa that the smell is not bad, but it’s just me having sensitivity to haircare product scent. But again, overall it’s a great haircare product for you to try too.

I’d like to start by saying I have very dry chemically processed hair. So with that being said I’m not sure if it’s my hair or the formula of the product. But this really dried out my hair to an extent that it felt like straw.

It puffed my hair out and made it just super tangled. Maybe if I had a different had texture or if it wasn’t chemically processed it might have worked better. But I really do not like how this product made my hair feel or look.

It had a gritty, dry, powdery feel to it. I am not a fan unfortunately.

I am in LOVE with this product. I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine and flat. This spray adds volume and texture WITHOUT making it hard or sticky. After washing my hair, I let it air dry until it’s just damp.

Then I shake it and hold it at arm’s length so it’s just misting my hair and not spraying directly on it. Sometimes I comb it through and then scrunch, sometimes I just scrunch and let it dry the rest of the way then brush (but that’s just the look I like bc of work— it looks great just scrunching!!).

So easy for my early mornings. I don’t wash my hair everyday but this product keeps my hair so I don’t have to use too much heat on it. If I need to, I reapply the next day to add more volume. Absolutely in LOVE.

I recently pulled your product called “Beach blonde OCEAN WAVES” out from my drawer of many products. What a wonderful re-discovery!!! Gave me the hair I dream of, and that I never even knew I had. And I LOVED the smell! Even got my 15 year old son (who is growing his hair longer) loving it! – It was a miracle worker! And so, I went on a quest to buy some more, and I was so excited to find that it still exists—Yay!!—or at least so I thought (sigh).

My new bottle arrived & the first thing I noticed is that the name is changed to “Sea Waves”, rather than Ocean Waves. – I then took notice that it was no longer 2 separate ingredients (that you used to have to shake up, prior to use, in order to “activate” the product).

So I was immediately disappointed because it appeared that the formula had certainly changed. Booooo!. (But then, just for one moment, I actually re-gained some hope since the directions did also say to “Shake Well”.

Could it possibly be??). Honestly I didn’t have high hopes especially since that wonderful oily substance was missing (the oil portion that you had to mix w/ the other portion—For those that are familiar w/ the old product, you know exactly what I’m talking about! 🙂 So then, I tried it out.

First thought: “Oh man!–Where’s the amazing smell?” It’s gone! 🙁 My hair didn’t feel velvety smooth OR get instantaneous ZERO frizz that the original product was miraculous at! :((( Moral of the Story: NO SIREE BOB, this is NOT the ORIGINAL! Major bummer! Dear John Freida—PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR OLD RECIPE! Why do companies always take something that WORKS and is BELOVED, and “update” it into something that DOESN’T work & isn’t beloved? A few years ago, my former roommate gave me a sample bottle she received in a gift bag. I was hesitant since my hair is already wavy/curly but is also incredibly fine and getting more limp every year (ugh).

Well, halleluiah! I used it and became so obsessed, it’s become a part of my hair routine, regardless of the season. I have a travel size bottle as well as full-size. I’m getting low so went to repurchase but cannot find it ANYWHERE! Where has it gone? Please don’t tell me it’s discontinued.

Please HELP me find this product again!.
