Sure this comes with an LED light kit, but you can get one for like $20 and add it to the Grandview and save close to $1,000. Image wise they look the same to me but the Elite was easier to setup. I wish I just bought a 2nd Grandview instead of the Elite DarkUST.

Super Quick delivery, ordered 12 Sept, and received it two days later. awesome. Right on time for weekend football! Easy setup and installation (about 20 minutes with two people). Love the velvet surround and does an excellent job absorbing overlapping images.

White screen shows vibrant colors and minimal to no lag or blur on video games and action movies. Well satisfied family.

Assembly was easy. Put together with a little help from my wife. From start to finish 45 minutes, including mounting to wall. Screen shows a beautiful picture paired with my optoma projector. Good quality for the price.

The screen height is fixed with limited adjustment beyond a few inches by adjusting the position of the leg braces. At its maximum, the bottom of the screen cannot be raised beyond 33″ without putting the stand on a table at least 34″ deep to safely support the front-to-back leg span.

This screen might be OK for a modest home theater setup but the lack of built-in height adjustment makes it a poor choice for business presentations (ignore the product marketing image of the bar graph), or for any kind of seated audience beyond the first row.

Also, the screen is not flat across it’s entire dimension when deployed, making it harder to get the entire screen into focus. Portability, setup and breakdown are relatively easy, with the screen retracting into the two sides of the clam shell, and the removable stand reverses and locks into a holder in the back of the clam shell.

The compact size when collapsed and the built-in carrying strap makes it easy to transport. That said, I would not buy this screen again, and would choose one that offered greater height adjustment, even if that came at the expense of easier portability.

Also 80″ may seem large but I found myself frequently wishing I had purchased a 100″ or 120″ screen.

This is not suitable for your dream home theater project. This is for those who do seminars, class room training, etc. It’s intended for quick and easy set up, easy put away and easy mobility, though it’s really heavy to carry.

When open the screen top and bottom edge at the center curls in not giving you a fully flat surface, like how a rubber band gets thinner when stretched. The product picture is misleading. The screen is firm, but not flat.

Also, the tripod set up is NOT rotational, so it leaves a huge open space between the back of the screen and the wall. The screen frame has back mounting holes, but that’s too much trouble for a screen that’s not flat.

Besides, the frame is really heavy. I would not trust a wall mount with how heavy this thing is.

The Duet screen leaves a bright picture and reflects the full gamut of colors your projector has to offer. It’s easy to pack up and cart around. Folding on the vertical dimension gives you a shorter case which fits neatly in a compact car.

The tripod doors completely on the back of the screen making for easy portability. The whole package is a little heavy. There is no height adjustment, leaving the screen around 4 feet off the ground.

In some circumstances, a very slight line can be observed near the center of the screen directly in front of the tripod. Most times this is not distracting, but some may find it noticeable. The overall package is perfect for portability.

I like everything about it but one thing- the toxic smell! the off gassing is intense. I’ve hung it to air out for several days and it still smells. Feels very unhealthy to be around.

It is everything it claims to be but with one caveat. It folds up for compact transportation and storage but it caused the screen to show wrinkles that are distracting to the projected image. I had to use a travel style steam iron to steam out the wrinkles.

I have only used it once indoor and outdoors so far. I will be interested to know if I will need to steam out the wrinkles the next time I use it after it has been stored in its supplied bag.

This screen is truly portable. VERY easy to set up. just pops up! A little harder to put away (but there are videos on YouTube to help). I am very happy with this purchase! The price was great compared to other screens and the portability and easy storage are exactly what I was looking for!!!.

I upgraded my church to widescreen. Our old screens were Da-Lite snapons, and the frames were held on my clamps screwed into the wall. These Elite screens were a touch tricky to assemble (the frame must be assembled, then the vinyl gets stretched across the frame and you use plastic clips to systematically secure it in place) but they are mounted to the wall with 4 (3 on top, 1 bottom) little metal plates.

Removal is as easy as unlatching it on the bottom, picking it up from the top via a ladder and setting it down. Therefore, basically hassle free if you need to repaint or something. The whole structure is pretty light for 2 people.

As for the picture, they are fine. I can’t really speak to the screen specs because I just needed something that works. I have zero complaints. The deep black velvet on the frame helps a lot with getting the projection aligned.

I would buy these again. The price is just superb.

After a long hunt for the perfect portable screen for my backyard and cottage, I could not have been happier with this purchase. It is lightweight, easy to setup and take down, and the 1. 3 gain screen is very bright with no visible lines during projection.

When attaching the screen to the frame, the first corner buttons tend to pop off while stretching the screen to attach other corners, but I found that attaching 3 buttons on each corner at a time helps.

I worry that the buttons will wear out over time making it more challenging to attach the screen, but for now it is perfect. If you are planning to use the screen at various locations, as I have, I definitely recommend the Plus model over the less expensive but very similar Yardmaster 2.

Because the the height of the screen is adjustable with Plus model, you can set the screen low to the ground for up close viewing such as a small living room if I bring it to a friend’s place for example, or higher up if viewed at further distance.

The other difference is the screen, which has a brighter gain at 1. 3 vs 1. 1. This is helpful if using screen with some ambient light. It was money well spent.

I looked endlessly to find a small screen to use on my patio with my small projector. I was looking for something lightweight and easy to use. This fit the description to a T!!! I owned this product before and give it to my child when she moved out thinking I would replace it with something better.

I purchased 3 others and returned them all just to repurchase this one.

Caught it on clearance was such a great price and more than exceeded my expectations! I am an employee at staples and i honestly can say I’ve always gotten high quality product everytime I purchased before working there and it has just made me love my job more knowing I can stand behind and support the product because it’s always right on! Worth the price everytime !.

First off if huge is all you care about this does deliver, image is sharp and motion is excellent, the setup is straightforward and the alignment app works perfectly. It also does a great job of sensing when people (ie children) get too close and dims the laser accordingly.

Unfortunately it seems laser tech just isn’t there yet, as even in perfectly dark rooms the image is dim and washed out. I know there’s technically a more expensive option, but it’s only 10% brighter and that doesn’t come close.

I was originally made to expect the brightness/colour should be on par with a mid level modern TV, but it’s not even in the same realm. Think worn out desktop monitor from the mid 2000s. I REALLY want to love this, I have spent hours trying to adjust picture settings and laser brightness, but at max it’s still terrible, and doing so brightens up the shadows too as you still get some light shining over what should be perfectly black areas on my other TV.

Credit where due to ALR screen does its job, if I turn on the nearby pot lights they have zero effect on the picture. I just wish the picture was worth keeping it, for the size of it all I’d accept even the equal to a cheap modern TV as in brightness and colour.

While the screen frame is exceptionally well made, and setup is easy, it generally ends there. Ignoring the loud clicking fan, which HiSense customer service says it normal, it’s just not bright enough, even in a dark room, to be worth shelling out this kind of money.

The colours are terrible, think early flatscreens of the 2000s, and with laser at max luminance & trying every picture setting, at night I still can’t get this bright enough to actually enjoy. I really, really wanted this to work, having a screen this big should be amazing, but compared to any other decent projector it is so dull, so dim, so lifeless.

Maybe in a few generations it will be much better, for now, I am so thankful I got it in before the end of my return policy because HiSense customer service just kept delaying and never answering my emails, waiting for them would have meant I was stuck with this.

The sheer size of the beautiful screen, with it’s ambient light rejecting feature, and the brightness and clarity of the projector is something to behold. I’m very happy I invested in this. Everything I do (streaming, PS5) is a delight.

My wife will never understand why I love being in the basement so much.

The screen is amazing for the price. The size is perfect for our house, the black boarders are nice so that you don’t have to get perfect leveling each time we set up the projector – if you have a permanently mounted projector that might not matter.

I used oversized screws for mounting, I think the provided hardware is a bit feeble and I definitely wouldn’t use the provided plastic anchors in drywall, bound for disaster- I secured into solid wood framing.

Pulling down the screen takes a good amount of force, so solid anchoring is essential long term. We have only had it is use for a few weeks, given the tautness of the spring, I’m hoping that the spring is a bit over engineered and it will last for years to come.

I would give it 5 stars if I was writing this a few years later and it still functioned so well. Warning, definitely inspect the box on arrival for damage. There was one hole in the box I didn’t think much of when I picked it up at the shipping company, but low and behold, a dent in the screen, not much of one, but if you need a perfect screen for what ever reason, definately check the box and contents.

Disclaimer, I am a first time projection owner. I have a huge living room with a high ceiling, as in two story high ceiling. I wanted a screen to go over my 50″ wall mounted TV, and it needed to protrude out of the wall a minimum of 12 inches because of the TV.

I researched many motorized screens and then realized how much cheaper manual ones are. Other places charge a lot for shipping of a screen this large, but Staples was free! I got an Elite Screens L mount and installed the screen all my by myself.

To be safe I installed the L mount onto studs. I’ve had it about a month now and watch it with an Optima projector about 17 feet away, projecting about a 145″ image. Views fine in daytime and great at night.

The pulling down and up is very smooth and I feel comfortable doing it a couple of times a day when I need to use the regular TV. I use the projector for movies and TV for TV shows. I love this screen and would highly recommend it.

I have ordered from Walmart. com for a while now and have had great experiences, but this order surpassed them all. The reason why I say this is because this screen was not delivered by “normal” means.

It took the longest to arrive, but it still arrived very quickly. This item was shipped by Jet Delivery Service and the item was shipping from overseas, at least it seemed that way. The screen took a little over a week to arrive at my doorstep.

The amazing part was that the delivery service called a day in advance to see if I was going to be home. They also called the next day to ask if it was okay to attempt the delivery or if they should try another day.

When they arrived, they were extremely careful and were going to carry it inside for me before asking for my signature at all. The gentleman who edlivered the screen was extremely nice. He asked if I had any questions and then had me print my name.

I thanked him and he told me to have a great day. The shipping company was truly a step above. Just to let you know. this is a HUGE screen and so it comes in a HUGE box. The box is about 5 inches by 5 inches by about 11 feet.

It was boxed amazingly well and had zero signs of damage. It is not too heavy. I had it out of the box, hung, and watching a movie with the family within about 30 minutes. The screen is crisp and clean.

There was no sign of “rolling-up” on the edges or anything. Once I pulled down the screen, it hung flat. I want to mak sure to point out that this comes with ZERO hardware. You can mount it flush on the wall or hang it from the ceiling.

It isn’t as heavy as you may think, but it still needs to be mounted securely into a stud or ceiling joist. I intially used drop ceiling wire and suspended though the drop ceiling to the joists. It helpd just fine, but I switched it out with small chain later.

Excellent product, excellent delivery, excellent price, excellent overall. You will not be unhappy at all with this product.

This company sells a great product with no follow through. I received this item with minimal need to assemble. Right out of the box, I had issues with the projector screen fully extending. Adding on top of that I wanted to setup the 12 volt trigger output with the RJ-45 that comes in the box.

Granted I know very little about wiring but for the next 2 months i would learn alot due to the fact that this company expects you to have soldering equipment and a general idea of basic wiring to get this sorted.

All of the above, I’m not that upset about. I learned a ton and it was an exercise that I didn’t mind spending time on. What is upsetting is that after all that hard work it turns out even with their detailed color coding instructions, they gave me a rj-45 cable that had mislabeled wires and eventually destroyed my circuit board.

I then had to wait another 2 weeks for a new circuit board and install that myself as well. Might have just made my own screen at this point with the amount of times I had to take it apart. If you’re looking for something to use right out of the box and is user friendly, this product/company is not for you.

The screen was very well packaged for shipping. On delivery, the outside box was slightly damaged, but the screen was suspended by foam inside an inner box, and both of those were just fine, with no damage to the screen at all.

Installation was fairly easy – I hung it from the ceiling in my basement. I didn’t use the included hardware because I already had existing hardware to use, but I think it would have worked well wither way.

When extended, the screen didn’t have any noticeable wrinkles or odors. I am using a long throw projector, so I don’t know if small wrinkles would have shown up as they often do with short throw projectors.

The motor is smooth and quiet when extending/retracting the screen. If not for one missing feature, I would give this screen 5 stars. If I lower the screen all the way it doesn’t line up with my projected image, so I have to raise it a few inches.

Getting it to the exact height can be a little tedious (because of this, I usually just leave it extended). A simple fix for this would be to include a programmable stop, so when you press the button to extend the screen, it would stop at that point and then continue to fully extend if you press the button again.

Overall, this is an excellent screen for the price. I highly recommend it.

Easy to install. Works as advertised. Actually quite portable. when compared to another “portable” screen with Tripod that we had earlier. Make sure you have a power point close by preferable near the top or you will have a ugly cable hanging at the side.

comes with a Remote. Wish the power unit was more compact and closer to the screen. Length of the cord is perfect. Manufacturer needs to look at the thickness of the cable. Also ability to work with Smart speakers like Google / Alexa / Siri / Cortana would have been nice.

We are pretty happy with the Vava ALR 120 screen. The instruction could be better, as it might have saved us some time in figuring things out. But otherwise, the screen is nice! I’d have given it a 5 star if it could be adjusted up and down like the 100″ screen (we knew that before purchasing, but we prefer 120″).

Due to the finicky nature of UST projector, ability to adjust vertically is critical in getting a great fit without too much hassle.

I ordered this screen on 24 February 2022. It’s now March 26th and I never received the projector screen. It was found lying on the dock at the Pilot truck terminal in New Jersey totally destroyed. Apparently, no one wanted to tell me and left me hanging for weeks as I tried without success to set up a schedule to have it delivered.

No one wanted to know anything. Fortunately, the people at Projectorscreen. com have an amazing customer support that looked into the mishap for me and finally found out what happened to the screen I ordered and never received.

I am now waiting for a replacement screen to be shipped to me thanks to the customer service department at Projectorscreen. com. I’m not confident in the process and have no idea when I will finally receive my replacement.

Pilot is weeks behind on their delivery schedules. Maybe Elite should look elsewhere for a better carrier. This hasn’t been a good experience and my next projector screen will probably be another brand.

This screen was to replace a smaller similar screen from Da-Lite bought 12 years ago. In 12 years, the side holders (used to fix the screen to the wall or the ceiling) changed from metal to plastic. It holds, but make sthe product look bulkier and cheaper.

Hope it will resist to the next earthquake. Beside this, the product is great and I hope it will last as long as the previous screen did.

This Screen was easy to install. It took 3 people and 2 ladders to get the job done. The remote is really not needed but i opted to install it as well. The motor runs really smooth. The screen is nice and wide.

A really good buy.

We use this in our basement home theater and it is a very nice upgrade from our previous screen. The blacks look very nice and the lines are crisp. Now we need to upgrade our projector to match this screen!.

I would have given it a five star rating if it weren’t for the problem we are having only a week after we install it. The screen does not retract all the way and it stops about 4 inches short of being fully retracted.

I think it is still a good buy for the price if you don’t care about it retracting all the way.

Okay I bought this on Wed showed up on Friday fast shipping since they said it would be two weeks and bam there it is in two days with free shipping that they offer. This thing is super huge I was blown away and so was the Fed-EX Driver.

120″ is so big. Set it up def. need two person to put this thing up on my awning in my backyard. Not hard at all set up was pretty easy. It has a nice dent in the metal casting but does not seem to be affecting it at all also the metal handle that you pull on is broken but I do not think that is going to bother me much.

It comes down nice and easy and it rolls up automatically very very slow and very quiet. Not sure why that other reviewer stated it was loud mine is so quiet I can’t hear it rolling back up. I am scared that one day it may not go back up as it is slow but we will pray.

Watched a movie on it and it was awesome. My 8 year old is in heaven. All in all for the money I would say buy it cheap worst thing if it breaks get something else. I am not sure how it will hold up in rain but looks like it should do quite well as it is protected by the metal casting.

This really does make a huge difference in the quality of image being projected. If you’re projecting on a white wall now- you’ll be extremely happy with the change this makes for you. To be honest though, it looks (and is) HUGE.

It looks like it belongs in a small theater. Putting it together was a bit tricky- be sure you read the instructions. I didn’t – and I had to take it apart and redo it. When you’re stretching the canvas, make sure you use the support poles that slide in the top and bottom like rent poles.

If you don’t, it’s not going to stretch right and you will have to redo it.

The top brackets for hanging the screen have 2 holes which are 1. 1 inches apart. How am I supposed to drill 2 holes 1. 1 in apartwith a 8mm drill bit on a 1. 5 inch wide stud? I ended up missing the stud altogether on 1 hole on each bracket thanks to my studfinder.

Hopefully, the top brackets will hold up with just 1 screw. Also, the bottom brackets are missing (found out at the end after setting everything up). Now, I have to contact Best Buy and hope they send me the missing parts instead of asking me to return the whole product and get an exchange.

Also, the aluminum frame had somebody’s fingerprints all over it.

Just what I needed easy to mount very sturdy thick material. Light weight and good quality materials used in the construction. The picture improves significantly from projecting onto a wall or lower quality screens.

The assembly instructions were clear. There are springs that hold the screen to the frame so there are not wrinkles.
