20 Best Scissors For Cutting Paper (2023 Updated)

I have been using Fiskar scissors for many years. I finally decided to replace on of the pairs & found this on sale at Staples. While the feel is quite different than my previous pair, they seem fine & cut well.

I only gave them four stars (rather than five) because I have no idea at this point how long they will last. (The old pair probably saw over a dozen years of usage. ).

After some research I came upon these scissors. I like the fact they are coated in titanium. They are very sharp along the entire edge. They are very precise and comfortable in the hand. I got these specifically for cutting fine cotton for use in my vape.

I like the 3M brand mostly. I decided to invest in a decent pair of scissors as use them all the time for crafting. I was drawn to the comfort grip as when using scissors for long cutting jobs they can really start to hurt your hands.

I had to use both hands to squeeze them shut just to cut the piece of card they were attached to I was cutting it up to make compartment slides for my storage draws. They struggle with thinner card too.

Also they gape slightly in the middle so it cuts at the point and near the base better than in the middle. They really are not comfy. The comfort grip is barely softer than the rest of the plastic. I thought it would be a bit more squishy or gel like but it is still quite hard.

Only suitable for paper and not for neat jobs.

I was very sceptical about receiving these scissors because of the previous reviews. Its perfect in size for me, the blade of the scissors measures approximately 3. 5 inches, feels sturdy and cuts without a problem.

The handle plastic and brightly coloured red, making it easy to spot. Where your hands will be holding the scissors are grey and has a rubberised texture, making it comfortable to cut with too.

I feel like everyone has a pair of these Fiskars scissors around the house! They are honestly good for everything: school projects, home decor projects, cutting tags off of items, wrapping Christmas presents, etc! Fiskars is definitely the number one brand of scissor if you ask me! You can buy these scissors at Walmart, Target, Kmart, Office Max, etc.

These scissors get the job done and they last forever. Really. Forever. I’m pretty sure I’ve had the same reliable pair for over ten years. Fiskars is definitely the go to scissors brand and I highly recommend it!.

Smooth, reasonably stiff (for their purpose – fabric, paper) blades. Comfortable, form fitting grip without sharp mold seams. Adjustable, hinge offers proper tension out of the box. Teflon coating; maybe this helps, doesn’t hinder.

I’ve been using these particular type of scissors for a few years now. I have to cut a lot of different types of tapes in my work. The coating is perfect for cutting through adhesive backed materials.

Note: Something I figured out years ago: When cutting an adhesive backed material, like masking type, duct tape, etc. , cut it with sticky size up.

Fiskars Total Control Percision Scissors are for light to medium weight fabric cutting. They are very sharp and small. They take alittle getting use to in comparison to two handle scissors. They are one spring push down action and very sharp pointed.

I prefer the two handle scissors but these are a nice addition to my sewing tools and will have their use as well. I found the clip to lock them closed is hard to relock so I had to leave them open in my sewing box.

One must be careful to avoid the points and wrap in cloth or have a foam pocket to store them in. Although they are very sharp you will need heavier duty scissors for heavy fabrics. These Fiskar Spring action scissors are an addition to my standard two handle scissors, and they donot take up much space.

Very great product – as advertised and beyond. Fantastic value and an exceptional addition to your craft tools.

These scissors make cutting my son’s little felt projects so easy! They are sharp and very precise. They Coke with a safety cover which is great to protect the scissors. The handles are soft and have a “comfort grip” which makes long cutting sessions more comfortable.

The are designed for right and left handed use which is convenient.

Small enough to take on the go for craft projects, and sharp enough to actually be usable. I’ve always thought [brand:fiskars] is a great brand from their large scissors to their child safety scissors.

I keep these scissors in my junk draw and am able to use them for so many things! The blades are nice and sharp, and they cut through many papers and others items without trouble! I also like the low price point of these scissors as well.

I needed a new pair of crafting scissors and these are absolutely perfect. They glide through anything from paper to cloth, or yarn to vinyl!

I received the correct number of scissors and they mostly work great! One pair had a little burr on the tip that made them hard to operate but I used a sharpener to smooth it out. Just a note: If you ever don’t receive the correct number of items or one with a defect, you can easily get either a refund or replacement from Walmart as long as it was from Walmart.

If it’s from a ProSeller, you’ll have to go to the seller which could be either good or bad, depending on the seller. But Walmart has never disappointed me in items bought from them.

I purchased these scissors for my craft scissors. I went to Scotch because I always remembered my mom having scotch scissors growing up and they were always the best. However, the Titanium Non-Stick scissors are horrible!! I have to tighten the screw before I use them and several times while I am crafting.

I am so upset that I spent as much as I did on scissors that are horrible that I feel like I must use them to get my moneys worth! Would actually love to have a replacement or a Scotch or 3M rep contact me about how horrible these are! I just wonder.

Why can’t we have nice things??.

These are well made scissors with a fine sharp edge that will cut whatever you put between the blades. I have had occasion to hold and test some very cheap scissors in the past, and these are simply not of that same ilk.

I expect these to last a good long time cutting paper and fabric for years to come. I am very happy with this purchase.

There is really no comparing a cheap/budget pair of scissors to this high quality 3M pair. They are SUPER sharp and they stay that way. They make a very precise cut with no ‘drag’. These can be expensive, but Office Depot had them at a really good price.

I wish I had bought more of them.

Excellent small but mighty scissors. The cut is exactly where the tip ends and cuts beautiful through thick as thin paper (even cardboard if it needs). The handle is comfortable to hold it and it’s ideal for fussy cutting.

Fantastic pair of scissors for the price! I didn’t expect them to be half as good as they are, they are very light and lovely to handle, they have lovely soft grips which makes easy work of long use, I have many scissors and always had marks from the grips, until now.

I needed some paper scissors for fussy cutting when making cards, stickers, and watercolours. They are comfortable and don’t slip on the paper. The blades are nicely sharp and do what it says on the label.

The grips don’t put dents your fingers and they are lightweight without being flimsy.

This scissor works GREAT it provides the nice cutting edge on the fabrics that I use. One of my hobbies is sewing and a great pair of scissor makes a big difference. I recommend this scissor to everyone.

I bought this to replace my desk scissors that keep “disappearing”. Zebra handles give distinct look so I can tell it is mine. The zebra print appears screened onto surface of white plastic handles but seems to wear well.

Slight mold flashing along grip centerline has noticeable feel but not too scratchy to bother sanding down as I only cut things occasionally. Blade cuts well for general office paper and tape.

I bought these Fiskars scissors knowing that they are generally good quality and when I cut fabrics or other crafting things I wanted to have a quality scissor to use. I bought this one so that it stood out differently from the normal orange handle one’s so that my family wouldn’t take them to use on other household items and them misplace them.

I guess I should have gotten the regular orange handle ones because the handle on these ones just cracked in my hands while trying to cut a basic soft home décor trim. 🙁 Waste of money.

I bought this product back in January of ’12. It lasted about 16 months and a few sewing projects. It cut fabric nicely but the handle broke way too easily. (It fell off my craft desk and onto my carpeted floor – once) If you want a pretty pair of scissors to look at, these are your pair.

If you are looking for a pair of scissors to use and take a little beating, keep looking.

Its always nice to get a new pair of scissors. They fit great in hand. Cut smooth. I have only cut paper and plastic but very strong and no rough edges. Fits in my 10 year old sons hands well also. Cute colors.

Sharp now and hopefully will stay that way for awhile. Easy to use.

The quality I expected from the brand. The shade of blue is quite pale, a barely there blue almost mint which is lighter than it looks on screen. They work perfectly for light desk work.

✂️I do many arts and crafts. I have various scissors but needed a sharp shorter pair to cut intricate things. ☆ Quick tip if your scissors become dull, or paper punches, fold some aluminum foil and cut into it as much as you feel is needed.

I just was told this last year and sharpened all if my other craft scissors. Also the Titanium was important due to it being the strongest material, and with mixed media art cutting paper a lot which dulls them faster than any cloth.

🙂 These were so great to get 2 pairs. One for my husband who builds and repairs small electrical devices and I had ruined his pair. He said he likes these a lot better. I will likely buy a second set for sewing needs.

The only thing I would add is that little sleeve for storage. But that is in no way a negative. I highly recommend these.
