20 Best Saw Blade For Ripping (2023 Updated)

Used in a dewalt 7485. It rips very clean and very strait. I was worried the heavier beefier blade may be too big for the small saw but it didn’t slow down the feed rate at all. Would purchase again, big upgrade from the flimsy thin blade that comes with the saw.

The GOOD!: Cuts reliably. Little to no resistance while cutting most common materials. Has great vibration reduction to keep that blade from drifting. Never had any kick back using this saw blade. The Bad?: After using it with so many projects the teeth gummed up with thin film of junk.

Weather that’s glue, or other products from manufactured woods it seems to make it harder to push through any product after that buildup happens. NOTE! This happens on all blades and is not really the fault of the manufacturer.

I was not sure I made the right choice after I ordered this blade. I came across some reviews for this same blade but on a different site and a lot of the reviews was not good. They said it was China and poor quality.

After receiving the blade I installed and made a couple cuts. I was impressed this blade cut as good if not better than the Forester when it was new. I will be buying another one if you still have them in the near future.

My cuts were on 3/4 x 6 red oak. Cut like hot butter. The cut was planer smooth.

I have been using CMT router bits for many years and are my go to bit brand. So I decided to try they saw blades knowing of the quailty of there router bits. CMT did not disappoint, what a great blade.

Cuts through plywood like butter, no vibration, and cuts are clean on my veneered plywood. I would recommend these blades to anyone in the market for a new blade.

I got the blade withy table saw 15 years ago. It has been sharpened several times and is missing a few teeth. I have 4 other blades but none of them cut as easy as this one. I am going to buy a mother one just to have on hand when this one gets dull.

Its life is about over.

I thought my last blade was an Amana. Instead I found out it was made by WKW( Wisconsin Knife Works). But, I knew I had something by Amana and it was a good memory. Turned out it was a dado blade set.

This blade is a good combo blade. It’s a little bit of a struggle ripping plywood so, change out to a rip blade. All other cuts are like butter. The coating on it is very interesting. Can’t wait to see how it holds up.

Recommend it? Yep!.

Bought this blade for our smaller shop table saw (Delta Unisaw). While I like it, and the quality of the cuts are good, I found it a bit lacking in the rip operation. I’ve had other combi blades that ripped better.

All in all, I’m satisfied, but had to give it one less star for it’s less than great ripping ability. Crosscut is five star.

Like most things that try to do more than one job, the Amana Tool 610504C Elcetro-Blu Carbide Tipped Combination blade does neither perfectly. It does do both ripping and cross cutting well enough for most circumstances requiring only a little cleanup of machine marks easily removed with a plane or sand paper.

I’ve been using these blades on my cordless Rigid saw for years. They’re great blades and hold a good edge for a very long time. Can’t beat the price.

I used a value priced combo blade on my table saw for a long time. And I thought it was doing a pretty good job until I ran some plywood with a thin oak veneer through my saw. I thought about having it sharpened but decided to upgrade instead.

Now that was a good move! I put this blade on my saw as soon as I received it and ran a piece of that oak plywood through it. What a difference! There are more expensive blades out there, but I can’t imagine they will beat the cut quality of this blade.

If you’re on the fence about this blade, don’t be, I can’t say enough good things about it.

Just wanted you to know I love your amazing 10 T. K. Combination Saw Blade 50T. I have had it a couple of weeks now and been cutting a lot of super hard Ipe. Cuts through it almost effortlessly. The cuts, both ripping and cross grain, are VERY clean and smooth.

If I feed it too fast there is the tiniest bit of tear-out on the back of the wood. I mean really really tiny specks of tear out. in cross grain cuts. Simply slowing down the feed stopped that. The thin kerf and whatever else it is you guys do with the design make it a pure pleasure to work with.

This appears to be a high quality saw blade. I checked it for cutting quality by ripping and crosscutting both hardwood and 3/4 ” birch veneer plywood. I was impressed with the smoothness of the cut as well as the minimal amount of tear out on the bottom side of the plywood when cross cutting.

I checked the run out and found it to be +/-. 001″ which is comparable to 2 Forest 40 tooth thin kerf blades I have. The only reason I did not give this blade a 5 star rating is because I have not used it enough to know how well it will do in long term use.

I am a new dabbler in the CNC world, sure I understand the importance of sharp tools and high quality bits, but what I was in aware of was the stark contrast between the starter pack bits I bought in conjunction with my CNC machine and the immediate quality upgrade when I switched to these bit(s).

I originally didn’t want to shell out big dollars while I was trying to learn how to operate a new CNC machine as I was able to destroy several bits while learning, but now will not hesitate to slowly upgrade as my projects require, as this is a whole new ballgame with the ToolsToday.

I’ve been using this blade for about a month in my Ryobi 6 1/2″ 18v saw. I bought it the same day as the saw, knowing the saw was to be used for a utility saw and there was a good chance of hitting metal someday.

Frankly, I hadn’t had the nerve to try a cut on steel yet. It cuts wood so smooth, I didn’t want to take that nice factory sharp smoothness off, even if it can handle the steel, I figured it won’t cut quite the same after doing so.

Today I was cutting up a sheet of Luan on my utility trailer, which has pressure treated sides. It’s very old, well worn and occasionally gets used as a saw horse as it was today. I use it to transport a Zero turn mower and it has 2 12″ long 1/2-13 eye bolts attached to the sides for racking the loading ramps.

You guessed it by now. While paying attention to everything else, I cut almost thru not only the 1/2-13 eye bolt, but the 3/4″ nut and flat washer that attach it to the pressure treated side. It wasn’t a long dragging process either, I heard the pitch change, stopped immediately, and expected to find a slot in the wood and maybe to have hit a deck screw.

Nope, I drove it right into the thickest part of the galvanized steel 1/2″ bolt. It made a smooth clean cut, so clean it even split the washer as if it had been thinned in a milling machine and cut into the nut quite deeply.

There were a nice neat pile of steel chips on the bed where I stopped. If I had gone much longer, I would have to replace the eyebolt. It would have easily and smoothly cut right through the nut and eyebolt, severing it smoother than my bandsaw.

The blade paid for itself today, and most probably protected my from injury, as you can be sure that if I had been using the generic blade that came with the saw, it would not have gone so well, probably shattering all the teeth and kicking the saw back at me.

Today I learned 2 things, be more careful with the saw, and don’t underestimate the new Diablo Steel Cutting Blades. This opens up a whole new use for my portable saws, and I won’t have to drag a 14″ abrasive saw around to small welding jobs anymore.

Who would have thought the solution would be the last tool in the shop ever designed to hit solid steel? The rest of my saws are getting Diablo blades. I’m a believer. I’ve got a piece of 3/16 angle on the trailer, and I’m doing a test cut tomorrow.

I was in need of a good Rip blade for my 1-1/2hp table saw and decided on this one. Note I 99% of the time use only carbide blades. Knowing that I wasn’t expecting a good edge on the 2-1/2” thick Red oak.

The piece I was ripping was 2-1/2” x 14-1/2 wide x 48” long. @ 42lbs I had to go slow but was pleasantly surprised when after the first rip cut I see a fairly smooth cut. So YES I AM HAPPY with this 24 tooth blade.

This saw blade is the best for ripping and does quite well with other cuts as well. When it arrived, I held it up like it was Simba. Just beautiful. And Tools Plus is great too. Delivered it so quick and it was packaged very well.

I use Freud saw blades almost exclusively. Their quality is what keeps me buying more. This blade is made in Italy. It is extremely sharp. Ripping hard maple is effortless and smooth.

This is my first dedicated rip blade. I didn’t know how effective it would be, but it’s way better than the combination blade I was using before. Very smooth cut, no burning, wood chips cleared away very efficiently.

As a joiner of 30 years this must be the worst blade I have ever used,ones at half the price are much better,after a couple of hours cutting laminate floors they go completely dull,never again will I buy one of these blades.
