I could tell from the second I opened the jar that this was going to be great. I was making a bunch of mozzarella sticks and I was going to give us a couple different marinara options, to see what we liked the best.

I didnt bother. No regrets. My son has never commented on a sauce/marinara before, but has had a zillion throughout his life, and he actually commented “I like this marinara!” Definitely a winner. The mozzarella sticks themselves weren’t great, but this marinara absolutely saved them, and we are very happy! Definitely NICE restaurant quality.

I cant wait to use it in a lasagna!! It seems just perfect for that!.

I’ve always avoided opening up an entire jar of pasta sauce for one person, Usually half or more of it gets thrown away. But now with Ragu For One, each packet is the perfect amount of sauce for one person! Great to use for a quick lunch or side.

I’ve used it on pasta, chicken parmesan, or a dip for breadsticks. A bit pricier per ounce than buying a jar, but with no waste, it’s a savings overall when you only need a small amount at a time.

I really like this sauce and the way it is packaged. The sauce is delicious. I am the only one that likes pasta sauce so this is convient for me. I clip close the partial pouch and keep refrigerated ( after opening).

The sauce has stayed fresh for my next meal a couple days later. I recommend this purchase.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. We enjoyed the sauce and I like the ingredients. I gave it four out of five stars because though it has vodka in it, it was nothing like a traditional vodka sauce.

It was much more like a traditional red sauce but not as sweet. My kids really liked it because it was not watery and stuck well to the pasta. I would buy this again but with the understanding it’s not going to make a penne à la vodka dish as you would normally expect.

so good with chicken and panini noodles. love it!!! super easy to make, boil your noods cook your chicken add onion or what ever spices you want. once chicken is done add your sauce and simmer. when your noodles are done they will stick to the wall if your not sure toss one at the wall.

once your sure pile your sauce and chicken mixture over your noods and wall la, a nice garlic french bread goes good with this meal. happy cooking.

I realize that there are people who, for whatever reason, be it health, or some fad diet, avoid all carbs. I suppose this is for you. If bland, acidic, bitter, nearly flavorless sauce is your game. Bingo.

On a side note- pasta sauce is something so basic, anyone could make their own, with minimal effort, so I cannot understand the plethora of pasta sauce brands constantly popping up, but I digress. Had I paid closer attention, I would have avoided this brand from the start.

If it is paleo, keto, gluten free, or any other fad, I avoid it at all cost. I missed the fact that this is a keto friendly product. It’s basically cooked tomatoes in a jar. Supposedly, there is onion, basil, and olive oil in the recipe.

It tastes like very sour, bitter cooked tomatoes. That’s it. Yum. As someone who can cook, and quite well, I can tell you that with the right variety of tomatoes, cooked properly, the natural sweetness comes through without the need to add any sugar.

Obviously, they are not using good tomatoes here. This is one of the worst pasta sauces I’ve ever tasted. To make this edible, I had to add, roasted garlic, onion, olive oil, basil, butter, salt, pepper, red chili flakes, and a small amount of sugar to offset the bitter taste.

Honestly I have been buying this sauce for years and continue to be impressed. I started buying it because other sauces like ragu and Prego had a lot of added sugar, salt, preservatives, etc. I could not figure out why my skin would have a reaction and break out if u ate too much spaghetti, and now I know it is because of those other sauce brands.

I have no problems with skin breakouts with yo mamas. I will say that the sauce is like a clean sheet when you get it. I like that because it is so basic and clean, I can doctor it up with spices and herbs and toppings that I like.

I usually add basil, oregano, onion powder, salt, garlic powder, a bit of hot sauce, parmesan cheese, and some honey to my sauce and let it slow simmer before adding it to my pasta. I think this sauce would be difficult to eat without doctoring it up.

But I like that I can add my preferred amount of salt/honey instead of the other sauce brands that add salt/sugar in large quantities.

Flavor was nothing special. I’ve tried making low sodium sauce myself. I’ve purchased low sodium plain tomato sauce, chopped my own onions, added bell pepper, garlic powder and spent a lot of time. It was about the same as this – not too exciting and a lot more work.

Low sodium is low sodium and it will take time to make the transition. In the meantime, I’ve chopped up onions and bell pepper to add a bit more “oomph” to Yo Mama’s sauce. Bottom line: it’s about the same flavor as what I can make and it takes less time.

Adding onions and a bit of water to thin it helps. (also a tiny bit of Truvia, right before serving individual portion, and red pepper flakes if you want a bit of heat. ).

My mom used this sauce with eggplant when we were growing up and nothing else can match it. Ragu is super underrated, but for certain dishes, it just works. Try my mom’s eggplant recipe: Peel and slice eggplant in 1inch thick wheels, pan sear with some oil.

Once soft, transfer to a deep dish baking pan. Add original ragu sauce, chopped onions, and chopped green bell peppers. For added spice, add some chili and paprika powder. Top with mozzarella cheese, bake at 450 for about 25min with foil covering the pan.

Uncover, stir everything together, and in the oven for another 5min. Serve on rolls! Only reason I would take a star away is its not he healthiest of sauces (sugar and preservatives).

I learned to cook using your sauce decades ago and we used it for everything from braciole to pizza when there was only one type. We could add anything we liked just fine. It used to be great to wake from a nap after work smelling stuffed peppers simmering.

But now we’ve tried using it, I’ve tried covering the awful flavor with cheese and nothing helps. I can’t tell if you are using an olive oil with a terrible flavor, or you shifted the spices too. You don’t bother listing spices.

I’m not sure how you can have ‘2 vegetables’ in a half cup of sauce if it isn’t tomatoes, so why not say tomatoes. With allergies and sensitivities medically, you just cannot hide that information anymore.

I bought this to use as the sauce for a baked ziti dish I was preparing for my fiancé’s family. I made sure I used fresh pasta, fresh herbs, the whole 9. I showed up, and at dinner, immediately after taking her first bite, my mother in law stood up, stared at my fiancé, and left the table.

Everyone was speechless. After my wife went and talked to her, she came back out, threw the ring at me, and said she can’t believe I betrayed her like this. I ask what she means. “THE SAUCE, HOW COULD YOU” and pointed to the door.

All Delallo products are to die for! You can never go wrong with them, they all taste so good! This sauce is the perfect amount of spicy and garlic, I highly recommend.

I’m 45, male, born in Italy to Sicilian parents, I moved to the USA when I was little, and I spend two months every year in Italy. My family and I travel each year to Acqualagna, Italy which is the truffle capital of the world just to spend a few days eating and stocking up on truffle products.

Here are my thoughts on TRUFF Black Truffle Pomodoro sauce. Definitely NOT worth the hype you’ve been hearing about! Not even close. The base of the sauce is your average generic tomato sauce flavor that Americans have grown accustomed to.

The truffle flavor is very mild and almost undetectable (my wife pointed out to me that she can’t taste much of the truffle flavor), and we ordered the Black Truffle Pomodoro sauce. not the hot/spicy version, but this sauce does have some heat to it.

For my eight-year-old son, he gave it a 5/10 on the hot scale, I gave it a 3 or 4. The issue is that when it comes to eating pasta, I’m not a fan of having it with a hot sauce. I’m not a fan of arrabiata sauce, and the TRUFF sauce was very close to it.

Problem is, they don’t advertise this as being hot; in fact, this is the not hot version. Overall, I gave it 3/5 for American standards. If I were in Italy and they served me pasta with this sauce, I would’ve destroyed them in my review.

Don’t believe the hype. You can do much better by getting another product that features more discernible tartufo (truffle) flavor. By the way, I’m a huge fan of black truffle and I’ve tried all four varieties (fresh).

I may even be the only crazy person who buys dress black summer truffles in Italy and drives around eating them as if they were apples.

I have been getting TRUFF products for some time now; however, I finally ordered from the website and ordered the pasta sauces. Let me tell you – BOTH of them are so flavorful and full of great taste.

You do not need that much but just a small amount enhances your pasta. The oil is a hit ! I use it on grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches. My toddler has been eating foods with TRUFF oil in it for almost a year.

A small amount is really all you need. The spicy TRUFF mayo is AMAZING !!!!!!! I used it to make chicken salad sandwiches yesterday and my husband was in love ! The quality is just excellent and whether for dinner or a lunch break, your dish will be enhanced with TRUFF !!! TRUFF is not a letdown at ALL.

I will keep ordering !!!.

I was happy to try the Gourmet Pasta Sauce by Primal Kitchen, I got free from social nature and I absolutely love this sauce. I had never heard of this brand before so I was excited to add a new flavor to my dishes.

I picked up the Tomato Basil Marinara Sauce because that’s the only flavor I saw available. I love making dishes with different pasta sauces so this came in handy at the right time. I like that this sauce was gluten free and mixed with avocado oil which is healthy to consume.

There were no artificial flavors or added sugar that some of the other sauces I used before had in it. I made traditional spaghetti and meatballs with sauce, as well as lasagna and the family all approved and said that it tasted great.

The sauce was not too thick or thin but just the right amount of texture needed to mix in the dishes. I told friends about the pasta sauce and they tried the other flavors and also agreed that the different flavors made their dishes taste good.

I will definitely go back and buy more flavors to cook in different dishes because I want to try them out. I highly recommend everyone to try this sauce because compared to other brands I tried, this one was absolutely great! Kudos to a great brand from this wonderful company and I look forward to trying the other products they make.

I received a coupon from Social Nature for a Primal Kitchen pasta sauce, and decided to get the No-Dairy Garlic Alfredo Sauce to cook up some shrimp fettuccine. It’s a nice, simple dish that’s tasty and allowed me to more easily feel out the flavour of the sauce.

Season and cook the shrimp, adding the sauce toward the very end, boil the fettuccine with a touch of Himalayan salt, add some pepper and Italian seasoning, and it’s done! The sauce has a good, smooth consistency, though the avocado oil base creates a tendency for the sauce to want to slide off what you are trying to eat sometimes.

Minor thing. If you really like the flavour of garlic, this variety is for you; it is *very* pronounced. When coupled with the already strong taste of Primal Kitchen’s take on Alfredo sauce, it makes for a very flavourful sauce.

You may want to try the basic No-Dairy Alfredo Sauce variety if strong garlic isn’t your thing. Overall, this is a good sauce. I only rated 4/5 because there are some minor drawbacks, like the oil base mentioned above and the hint of an aftertaste that wasn’t excellent.

Those who don’t care for garlic won’t appreciate this either. However, for those who do, the main flavour paired really well with the shrimp, and I will be purchasing again. I suggest you give it a try as well.

I like this much more than I like Raos. This sauce is not acidic. It is the closest thing to homemade you can get in a jar. To two jars of Victoria sauce, I add one peeled, raw onion sliced in half, one stick of unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon sugar and let it simmer over very low heat for two hours.

I remove the onion, add 1/2 cup good red wine, stir and serve the sauce over pasta. The wine adds an irresistible flavor to the sauce when you don’t cook the flavor out of it. It is amazing! I used to watch my grandmother make sauce this way with tomatoes from her garden.

I tried this sauce recently! I tried one flavor with some ravioli, then another flavor for spaghetti! I really loved it, on both! So, I’ll definitely be buying again next time. The only thing that sucks is that it is spendy, so when I’m on a budget unfortunately, it’s not always reasonable to spend so much on sauce.

However, when I’ve got a little more to spend, it’s definitely the way to go! You can really taste the difference in the ingredients and flavors compared to the cheaper sauces. Super yummy!.

I love that the sauce is organic, non GMO, and has a simple ingredient list that is not a mile long. I usually sautee chopped onions, garlic, jalapenos, fresh chopped basil, parsley, and cilantro. I add a splash of white wine and let that evaporate.

Only then, I add a pasta sauce and heat everything up, bringing it to a simmer. In this case, I could still taste the acidity of the tomato sauce. If one loves acidic taste, this is a perfect 5 star sauce.

If one prefers more sweeter, less acidic taste, I would go with a sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes. I personally prefer the notes of garlic and other spices in the sauce, having the tomato sauce absorb those flavors, highlighting them.

It’s harder for an acidic sauce to do all that.

Everyone needs this in their pantry!! Even the pickiest kids will eat this if you follow this simple recipe. 1. Blend the jar of sauce until you can drink it. 2. Pick your kids favorite pasta. I never put meat in mine but you can.

Kids don’t want al dente pasta. Cook it all the way. Add the pasta to the warm sauce add shredded mozzarella. Don’t forget the garlic bread.

idk what the big differences is between this in no sugar added cuz 😕 i love my sauce but i need 1 no salt added n lower sodium. kinda silly to have to combine both. but when your diabetic but you live on a tight budget you need to eat filling foods like pasta n sauce.

but u dont know if you need no sugar added or lower sodium because your bloodwork came back bad.

I’m very picky when it comes to tomato sauce and this is is fenomenal. I love the taste and its very delicious. I use this and only this sauce all the time in my spaghetti. It tastes just right and I keep buying it over and over again.

(Great nuts, unique hummus made with beets or sweet potatoes, salad dressings, and more! ) This product covers many bases, especially for the those who strive to eat a clean, real plant based diet.

More snd more research shows that Mushrooms are the magic button, likely a cancer fighting nugget that we should all eat often. I have read one button a day is preventative. Good & Gather has the potential to produce two tiers of pasta sauces.

The Simply line could continue paired with a few G&G Premium sauces, a line of thicker, perhaps chunkier sauces. There are customers for both. I keep looking for a pasta sauce that has lots of real mushrooms, so I can get my daily dose of goodness without starting from my cutting board.

I would use a real thick, chunkier mushroom sauce all the time. More big mushrooms please.

First off, I just wanted to say this was an extra ordinary sauce. Are usually buy the Prego three cheese but I happen to find myself in target so I picked up one of these. Every Christmas we do spaghetti bake off.

Everyone in the family brings to Christmas dinner their own variety of spaghetti. We’re all Italian so you know that in my family we always use Prego because that’s the closest to home.  if anyone was to bring anything other than that to the CSBO (we’re looking at you because in Alexandria) that would be an instant no no.

The time that I tried this wasn’t the CSBO but I just felt like it was important to say that because I think that my review holds a lot of weight when it comes to spaghetti and their sauce I recommend this TO ALL MY FAMILY.

I realize that, in this product, G & G is selling marinara sauce, and not a reusable glass jar. The sauce was decent. I added other things to it, but it was a very good base. Exactly what I was looking for.

I save larger glass jars, as they’re a good replacement for plastic storage containers, and very handy for quick refrigerator pickles when there is a lot of produce coming out of the garden. (If you know, you know.

) The adhesive on this jar was stubborn. It wouldn’t come off with regular scrubbers, oil, steel wool, Simple Green, or my demolished thumbnail. It required Odorless Mineral Spirits, which I use as a solvent for oil painting.

Then it came right off. I’m writing this review for the plastic avoiding, glass jar saving, quick pickling Target shoppers out there. The Marinara was very good, but you’ll need a solvent to get the adhesive off of the jar, if that’s your plan.

This one is a favorite in my house. I’ve always preferred some of the Target brand varieties simply because they don’t have added sugars. Being organic is a plus too! The taste doesn’t seem to be consistent, but I’m fine with that.

This is the only sauce that doesn’t give me heart burn. I’m an sensitive to tomatoes and this sauce allows me to enjoy many dishes without having to worry much about triggering my immune system.
