I have 11 DS4 controllers and all of them have drift or dead problem with L3 or R3. Sony always claims it’s abuse or normal wear and tear. I technically have 12 controllers. Other than the PCB it’s not really Factory and still works fine.

The Console itself should even compensate for jitter or centering/adjustments, but you don’t see it as an option anywhere? Now with some modern tech the DS5 has the same issues (and more) as far as wear and tear.

Final Thoughts: Battery tech has advanced leaps and bounds over the years and we are at the point we can put infrared digital joys in the controllers with next to zero impact on battery life or even use even lower powered solutions like magnetic field sensors(MFS) Hall Effect(HE)*.

This would increase reliability as no moving parts need to make physical contact inside the joys. Wear can be extended by using a bearings on the pivots/cage to keep the joystick center. *Some companies already do these methods and senors.

Getting a product licensed and approved to be used on their platform wouldn’t be in Sony’s best interest. Now Here is the Gotcha. As far as quality the PCBs are decent and great for modding. Price to Durability I would recommend a cheap offbrand controller as they most often have the same Joys across the board.

That said, remember you get what you pay for. Three $20 controllers will get you about 800-1000hours of vigorous use or one Branded DS4 for $60 can get you about 265~335 hours of vigorous use. Anyways, maybe someone finds this informative.

Initially it looked good, sturdy and reliable. But along the way, I experienced many issues with it: – the controller randomly switches off, in the middle of a game. And it can take several seconds before being able to switch it back on.

Quite infuriating to die in a game because the controller went off in my hands unexpectedly (and it’s not a matter of battery) – the left key (or stick maybe) getting pressed continuously when I don’t touch it.

Basically, it’s as if I was going left all the time. It requires to reset the controller, or the console, and hope for the controller to switch on without continuously going to the left this time. – the PS button appears to get blocked too often when pressed.

I need to rub it gently to unblock it. – When switching on the console with the controller, I need to switch on the controller a second time once the console is on. My previous controller remained on from the first press on the PS button.

My previous controller was a DualShock 4 v1, this is my first DS4 v2 controller. So maybe these issues are inherent to this new model? maybe I had a faulty controller?.

I honestly feel like I paid full price for a refurbished item. When I first opened the box the first thing I noticed was that the box didn’t have tape on the cover of the lid nor did it come with directions.

It came with a charge cord which I found very strange because most PS4 controllers DON’T come with a charger cord. You have to buy that separately, then I noticed how LIGHT the controller felt. It said PS4 on the buttons, but it didn’t FEEL heavy like the normal PS4 controllers feel when you get them with the console purchase.

The buttons felt extremely loose, especially the X button and the R1 and L1 buttons and NOW the X button is “sticking” and doesn’t always play right. Later when I looked at WHERE I’d purchased this controller from because I admit I didn’t check before pressing the “purchase button” it was from some THIRD PARTY SELLER THAT SOLD FOOTWEAR?????? And when you click on the seller’s site, it leads nowhere.

Next time I want to buy REAL electronics, I’ll go to Best Buy.

This Dark Grey-Blue controller is not original Sony PS4 Dual Shock controller. It’s a cheap Chinese counterfaight version. The packaging is not original Sony. Inside the packaging the plastic is thin and cheap.

I have got 3 original Sony PS4 Dual Shock controllers of 2013, 2016 and 2021 (only two on photos, as my son was using the third one). All of them look the same quality and with identical details. The controller in this ad is much lighter than the original Sony one.

The controller in this ad has got NOT original Sony screws on the back side. Joysticks are laggy and sent delayed response in the game. The plastic finish of this controller is cheap and totally different than on the original Sony controller.

None of my three Sony controllers have a light strip on the middle pad – this one has, which is wrong. Middle Playstation button on this controller is of matt grey colour while on my all three original controller is shiny black.

The plastic around this button seems like worn out while on the original Sony is consistent new looking. Charging port of this controller has got a different finish that on the original Sony one. The texture on this controller back side is totally different than on the original Sony Controller.

This controller should be priced around 20 and no more. DON’T BUY IT!.

Everything works great on this product. I appreciated that it arrived very fast and pretty much is exactly what I purchased. As a first-time buyer, I purchased the play station from this seller without disappointment.

I bought two play stations days apart and they were both in great shape as described. There have been no issues, and both recipients are happy with them! I would be willing to buy from this site again in the future.

I waited 2 years to make this review. Here it is. The quality is amazing. Arrived in mint condition. The mic port worked. The charge port worked. The battery lasts all day long. No drift issues after a few months, but after 2 years, only slightly that is easily fixed by blowing into the joysticks.

I suspect dirt since I am a heavy gamer. If you’re looking for a Ps4 controller that doesn’t give out on you easily then I suggest buying off Best Buy. I still use the controller to this day and it has been good to me through shooters and rpgs alike.

The product was heavy as a legit Sony Ps4 Controller should be. Came in a squared box as it should be and not some plastic box formed like the controller as it should not be. If you’re a fellow gamers finding it difficult as to where to buy a good controller, then go with Best Buy.

Absolutely amazing controller. If you’re having any doubts about it, go for it. Drop shot is perfect, rapid fire is amazing on all games, ww2 pistols and semi rifles are nuts, fortnite pistols are off the wall.

Worth every penny. When you first get this bad boy, go into a private lobby and memorize all of the commands that you’re going to be using and you’ll be golden. Seriously amazing controller. Ty guys.

Controller works fine but ONLY if using R2 as main trigger. Using R1 in flipped mode will not work. Also you MUST earn the complete reset buttons that deactivate all the mods. You will inevitably activate something you dont want to use (with me its auto run and aim shot all the time).

The reset takes about 10 secs. Besides that. Awesome!!.

When you first get the controller it works very well and the features work of course the glitches like jitter fire don’t work in every game but for the most part everything else does like rapid fire and quick scope and all that.

Its really exactly as described its just jitter fire that doesn’t always work. My problem is after using the controller for a while I don’t know if its the controller or my system but the buttons on the D-Pad get knocked out of place and don’t work right and I have to continuously click the button hard until I hear a click which I’m assuimg is the button resetting in place and my left bumper doesn’t react as fast as it used to I click fast but all my.

clicks are registering because the button isn’t fast and its like that on the D-Pad too of course but eventually the D-Pad works right but if you can ignore all that the controller is perfect and like I said it works great for a long while after you first get it and it might be just me I plus I find it not such a big deal that it doesn’t work right since I’m able to fix it.

It’s a really high quality stick at a low price. It’s very sturdy and the thumbsticks are great to use. It does not have 6-axis and wifi but this is not a problem for me. I’m using the stick specifically to play retro arcade games, for which it is perfect.

My only criticism is that it is not suited to playing NBA 2K games because the thumbsticks position makes it difficult to do rotational actions such as spin moves. Also note that the sticks do not have rubber thumb grips and your thumb can slip off, this is easy to cure by roughening them with a nail file (it only takes a couple of minutes and does not effect the appearance of the sticks).

By the way I have stonking big hands and find the controller a very comfortable fit for me.

Ever since my hands adjusted to this controller, I absolutely love it. I’ll keep it quick. The controls on the sticks are tight yet responsive, the perfect balance with an excellent general feel. The buttons themselves feel very quality.

Everything presses and clicks as it should; great intuitive feel and design with things like height of the shapes buttons and slight curve to the tops. It’s nice that you can adjust the trigger depth – little adjustable slides for each.

Obviously one of the big things is the mappable paddles on the back of the controller. For me, mapping run and slide on Call of Duty, and finally adjusting to it, definitely improved my gameplay. I feel like I am much more playing to the top of my performance ability.

That in and of itself almost makes this controller worth it. Then, having 2 separate onboard profiles for the mapping switchable with a little switch is just very convenient for swapping to your next favorite game and having your controls ready for you.

Being able to swap sticks and the D-Pad is just a plus to these competitive gaming controllers. I’ve stuck with the sticks I like, but I’ve swapped them once, confirming that the swapping function works pretty well.

Everything snapped like it should, and felt firm when removing, and firm when installed, though not too firm, like as if you would damage them. The mechanism is designed well. I paid a pretty penny for mine like new, almost “two dollars”, but I would say it is worth it, and that the design and quality for sure meet my expectations.

I am ultimately not disappointed at all. There may be a bit of dust and dirt on the controller in my pictures, since I’ve used it for about 3 weeks now since I’ve had it.

I have the updated and latest 1. 04/10. 5 RazerEurope(Imported) Model of the RaijuTE, so my review will be based on that, the previous model (1. 01 or latest firmware 1. 03) has a number of reported issues you can easily google.

Razer does not officially sell ANY Ps4 controllers in the United States, the Official Liscense was either pulled or ran out and wasn’t renewed for American sale, be very aware of this when buying, and know that if you get an imported controller, you aren’t eligible for ANY warranty from Razer, warranty is for European based customers and only honored if bought from them or their authorized sellers(to my knowledge none are on eBay even if you do live in Europe, so don’t say I didn’t warn you.

) Now to review the actual controller, it’s a mixed bag. It’s by far my favorite Ps4 controller, and I own several other Razer controllers, as the comfort and control Razer brings has been unmatched for me.

Feels great in the hands, the tactile clicky buttons are amazing and sound so satisfying, and it is a fantastic WIRED option. I say WIRED in all caps, because the bluetooth connection on this thing is basically garbage, (which may or may not be the fault of Sony) and I’ll explain why, it’s not the most important thing in the world for this controller to be wireless, asanyone serious about game performance will opt for wired, but this controllers bluetooth is quite an experience.

In bluetooth mode, the controller frequently runs into delay and latency issues, dropped inputs or even double or a rare triple inputs registered. On top of that, you lose the built in audio jack while in bluetooth, it’s wired only.

So I really do mean it when I say this is a wired controller, the bluetooth issues are so prevalent in gameplay it’s just much simpler to run a 10ft cable to it than deal with the issues. I said this may or may not be Sony’s fault, because they’re dickheads and mandated all 3rd party wireless bluetooth controllers can’t have latency any faster than 12ms just to make their own controllers look better, but Razer also admitted that the bluetooth connection just plain sucks on these controllers in general so I’ll call it 50/50.

Speaking of cables, the included cable is only 6ft, so good luck sitting on the couch with that. I ordered a 10ft original Raiju Cable from Razer’s own replacement part store for $18. 99, and I reccomend anyone who buys this controller do the same for an enjoyable experience.

It uses a notched custom ended microUSB cable that locks in (as shown by me dangling it by the cord, it stays in firmly!) If you opt for anothermicro USB cable you may have to modify it before it’ll even fit.

This controller is also missing any kind of built in motion controlls(Sixaxis as Sony likes to call it) and a light bar, so immediately it can’t be used at all for PsVR, and exclusion of motion controlls makes it mandatory that you keep your Dualshock4 nearby incase a game has some form of motion controls in it.

In the Recently Released Persona5 Royal, there is a darts minigame that uses the motion controls and playing it is very helpful. It’s mind boggling that a premium controller that retails near $200 is missing a basic feature like this that makes some games unplayable without having a Dualshock4 handy, this COULD be incompetence from Razer, or Sony could have no motion controls as part of the official Liscense agreement they had.

The controller is marketed more towards competitive shooters than casual games, so I can’t really fault them too much, but it is a feature that is sometimes used and it sucks to have to switch controllers.

It’s good, gets the comfort and feel just right, but drops the ball and then trips over it down a flight of stairs. There’s probably a better PRO styled controller out there, but this one is good enough for me for the $100 I paid.

Very comfortable to hold for hours at a time. Good buttons not cheap feeling. No issues with either Bluetooth or USB connectivity. I initially got a different controller however it wasn’t able to fit my Galaxy S21 Ultra with the hard case on it.

This one I dont have an issue at all. Easy to pair on Bluetooth or run through USB C. Customizable profiles as well for emulators works great. Only bad thing is it doesn’t cook breakfast for me in the morning.

But I’m ok with that. I got it on a sale price so I feel it was worth the money. I get to play my steam library and geforce now games with no issues at all anywhere I’m at XBox game pass games as well.

There are some games that don’t have full controller support but that isn’t this controllers fault. Haven’t had issues with battery life on the control either. Seems to hold up pretty well. Been playing Witcher 3 all over again and I dont keep track of how many house I play but that game depends quite a lot of your time.

I’m a do every side quest before main storyline type of guy so I kill a lot of time and I havent had the battery run out on me yet. Just buy one. Might not fit Samsung Fold 2. Obviously. or can it?.

The controller has a nice feel. Its way lighter than a dual shock 4. There’s no light bar or mic port, however. The only thing that annoys me is that I have to turn on my ps4 with a dual shock 4, then push the ps button to switch profile to the hori.

Buttons are responsive. The turbo is handy when I’m playing borderlands and using a lot of semi-auto stuff and feeling lazy. i’m very rough with my controllers. The left stick on my dual shock 4 sticks randomly.

After months of use, my hori controller works as good as when I first got it, though theres some fading on the ‘X’ button now. After a while, I got used to turning on the ps4 with the dual shock, then swapping to the hori controller.

I really can’t complain about the controller overall. I’d give 5 stars if I didn’t need another controller to turn on my ps4. If I could give 4. 75 I would.

Pretty great, but the analogs are made pretty cheap. So don’t expect them to live long if you fighting games. Turbo function is what sells it. It’s a Japanesse only product, so no english manual.

Excellent for gamers that prefer the Xbox 360/One style controller. Well made, very light weight and the touch pad works great. Its a little bigger than the Xbox controller but fits in your hand great.

I especially like the target button on the back great addition for playing COD Black Ops 3 when you like super high sensitivity. Dislikes: there is no head phone jack on controller overall 5*, I well recommend it.

DONT GET THIS CONTROLLER… if your looking for the real thing. Don’t get me wrong it is a ps4 controller but not from the brand just a cheaper version, which you can very much tell if you have a real one so if you expect this to be from the brand it’s not just a cheap plastic and poor quality controller from who knows where.

But if you just want one for the time being and not for the long run bc I doubt it’ll last that long, then go for it.

My grandson loves it!! He just recently received a PS4 from his sister’s boyfriend but didn’t have a controller. So he was excited to get his new controller to get started on his gaming skills again!! Easy for him to use!!! Loves the color.

As when buying any new style of controller, it takes a little time to get accustomed to. For the price range it is good with all buttons being more or less where they are on the official V2 controllers ,Due to copyright they have to use slightly different symbols then the traditional PS square /triangle ect symbols but if you have played on a ps before then that should pose little problem.

The sound quality from attaching headphones to the Mic is really good and audible. The dualshock again is really good and very comparable to the official v2’s Only problem i had getting used to it , was mainly the 2 buttons on the underside of the controller which ,when playing on the COD franchise i had to be mindful of not pressing it which was tough to begin with because they are placed for ease of access in those exact positions.

The button on the left kept changing my primary to secondary weapon , so it must be set up as an additional triangle button. Impart from that everything was good 4. 5/5 rating.

Don’t buy this to save some money, pay the 20euro more and get an original controller as this one is very robust, has drift, feels very cheap and doesn’t play nicely at all. Playing shooter games or any game that needs fast reflexes is a nightmare with this one.

Not to mention as soon as i unboxed it and tested it the right analog stick stayed stuck when moving it to the right and not returning to original position hence making games unplayable. Please do not buy this if you want to enjoy your gaming time.

Working quality is very poor. One stronger touch and its broken. Not comfortable for hands. Worst replicator ever I touch or see. Prices to big for this false. Max 4 dont buy
