22 Best Protective Case For Galaxy S7 Edge (2023 Updated)

For my last Galaxy, an S4 Active, and my wife’s Nexus 4, I went through dozens of cases from various brands and never came across one as good as this. I happened across the Spigen “Rugged Armor” while looking fo a case for a new S7, and hit the nail on the head first time.

Great all round protection with air pockets where it counts (especially corners), a good thick rim to protect the screen,e and a nice raised edge to protect the rear camera too. Love the way it follows the design cues of the S7 itself, especially in the back surface curves, it reminds you of the loveliness protected safely within.

Great cutouts. Easy to operate buttons. Could it be better? Yes, a tiny bit of rounding on some of the designed edges would make it comfier to hold – they’re a bit sharp. A bit of support between the volume buttons would prevent inadvertent operation – the whole button area is unsupported and pressing the case anywhere around them adjusts the volume.

And raised corner feet same height as camera protection would make it sit absolutely flat, but still I thinks it’s probably the best there is. I’d give it about 4. 8 stars if I could. Nothing’s perfect, but this is very good.

Quite simply the best phone case I have ever used. Not the cheapest but well worth it. Great quality, fits the phone like a glove. All the holes are in the right places and good size for connecting peripherals.

The edges around the screen are a little larger than other cases I have used so seems to offer a little more screen protection when laying the phone face down. The only thing I don’t like about this case is there isn’t quite enough space/indent to use the samsung OTG adapter so I have to remove the case to use the samsung OTG adapter.

This shouldn’t affect other OTG adapters that are the ‘lead’ type. I will definitely use Spigen cases again for sure.

Based on my experience, Spigen makes very high quality products. I purchased two ‘Rugged Armor’ cases – one for my Galaxy S6 and one for my Galaxy S7. My purchases were made after a comprehensive researching of the the Internet.

After sifting through the serious/comprehensive and shallow (meaningless) reviews on the internet, I narrowed my choices to Spigen and one of their competitors. While the competitor was desirable, it did not have my simple preferences – a flexible, shock-absorbing, slim, pleasant-looking case.

(On a side note, I went to a local Best Buy to request the assistance of a Samsung technician to transfer my contacts from a non-Samsung phone to my Samsung phones – he had Spigen cases on his phones.

) On both eBay and Amazon, the caution of ‘caveat emptor’ applies – do read the reviews carefully. I hope my review helps you.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have a Samsung Note 8. I have been trying to find a protective case for my phone but since it is an older version i couldn’t find it in stock anywhere. Byron took care of ordering a case and having it delivered to my home while I was in the store.

I paid for the case, shipping was free and I received it a week earlier than expected. The brand is Incipio, it is a 2 layer case and is a beautiful color of burgundy/mauve in a matte finish. I could not be more satisfied with my purchase and Byron was a pleasure helping me.

I love the Teal blue and they also have black (which my Husband has). Pleased with everything about this cell phone case/cover with belt clip.

It’s got a good grip. Even with my butter fingers, this case does it’s best at keeping my phone from flying out of my hands. So far it’s been a good addition to my phones lifespan.

IšverstiShow in original languageMy primary goal was to get something with better grip than the slippery iPhone SE. It was easy to put on and does not add much weight or bulk to the phone. All the access points are lined up and easy to use.

Much easier to hold the phone now without it slipping out of my hands or off a surface. I don’t know that it would add too much protection if dropped but that was not what I was looking for. I was happy to find it in my local store so I could see it before I bought it.

IšverstiShow in original languageI tried this case out for a Pixel 5. The way that newer Android handles the Back button is to start your thumb from offscreen on the left or right and swipe in toward the center.

This case has a bezel sticking out past the screen on all sides of the phone, meaning the natural place to swipe in with your thumb is obstructed by a hard edge, making the Back swipe impossible. Likewise the Home swipe comes from the bottom, bezel in the way, etc.

Otterbox seems to have just issued an iPhone case for an Android phone with no thought to how Androids actually work. It’s fine for the old, pre-gesture interface, but a Pixel 5 or 6 – do not buy an Otterbox case until they’ve figured out how to make one that works.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis was a replacement for for my Symmetry case I bought 5 years ago. These are amazing cases. But they have changed. The volume buttons are difficult to use if you don’t have strength in your hands.

They are still easy to install, hold up under many drops, and easy to hold in your hand. What I don’t like and the reason I almost sent this back is because this particular color I received is not as shown.

It is a tacky (ugly) glittery colored case that I would have never bought. The red I am replacing is no longer an option and the new available options are odd. If you like Star Wars, Mickey Mouse or other cartoon movies…this is the perfect place to shop for a new case.

But the solid color options outside of black, are few. Otterbox, please keep all generations in mind in your designs.

IšverstiShow in original languageLooks great and I liked it for the first year I had it but then it started to crack around the camera and power/volume buttons. It is now loosely fitted to my phone and I’m worried it won’t protect my phone anymore.

Disappointed because despite this Otterbox are refusing to satisfy warranty on this case and have not only lied about me being able to claim a warranty through their site but also tried to gaslight me and then stopped communication completely.

This is a one star review for the company. Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever received.

IšverstiShow in original languageGran producto. Nunca he visto un maletín tan bien diseñado y práctico. La sujeción magnética de la solapa cerrada es muy segura en caso de caída, para abrirla hay que encontrar el truco, por mi parte ningún problema.

La parte trasera de la funda está muy imantada y se agarra muy bien a una pieza metálica, cuidado si doblas el clamshell por la parte trasera luego es muy difícil quitarlo. Los botones son muy funcionales, pero es mejor utilizar la uña para accionar la solapa “silenciosa” porque la carcasa es gruesa.

No pongo tarjetas en las 2 ranuras para no dañar la pantalla. El marco de la pantalla está elevado e inclinado para una protección óptima y no interfiere en absoluto con su uso (muy bonito y estético).

Si quieres proteger el planeta es mejor tener esta funda para no tener que cambiar constantemente de teléfono, mi iPhone SE de 2016 sigue intacto y ahora lo usa nuestra nieta con la última actualización.

A los 70 años, la pantalla era demasiado pequeña para mi vista, que se está debilitando. Por favor, proteja nuestro equipo para evitar esta contaminación. Recomiendo encarecidamente este caso que es perfecto.

IšverstiShow in original languageEs la segunda vez que compro el Otterbox Strada. El primero protegió bien mi smartphone durante 3 años. Se me ha caído el smartphone unas cuantas veces y no ha pasado nada porque la funda rodea completamente el smartphone y el borde está ligeramente levantado hacia la pantalla.

El borde elevado no me molesta en absoluto al utilizar el smartphone. El ajuste de la funda es estupendo, pero hay que hacer un poco de fuerza para meter o sacar el smartphone. Los botones son muy fáciles de manejar.

La suciedad no se interpone entre el smartphone y la funda, por lo que el smartphone no sufre arañazos ni nada parecido. El cierre magnético funciona muy bien. La cubierta también es relativamente delgada, por lo que el smartphone no se hace mucho más grande de lo que es.

Después de tres años, la goma se ha desmoronado en el lugar donde se encuentra el control de volumen, lo cual me parece bien después de la cantidad de uso. El único pequeño punto negativo para mí es que con esta funda sólo se puede poner el smartphone de pie hasta cierto punto.

Pero estoy completamente satisfecho, por eso he vuelto a pedir esta funda sin pensarlo mucho.

I’ve always used Otterbox Defender cases. They work great to protect your phone from all kinds of stuff. But, get this! I’m walking my dog listening to a podcast with my wireless earbuds, and I have to cross a busy street where I need to jog across.

I didn’t realize until my ear buds beeped that I was out of range of my phone. It had fallen out of my pocket on that busy street! I just knew it was toast. I see it in the road, face down, run to grab it, and it looks.

fine. Maybe a car didn’t run over it. But then I see dusty tire tread marks on the back and realize it did get run over! And the phone still worked!! Not a scratch on it and the only marks on the case were on the front edges of the interior plastic part of the case where the car had pushed it into the pavement.

And you can barely even see those. Long story long. this case is UNREAL! It survived a car running over it! Buy it. If you have a phone, buy it. Your phone will never be safe without it.

I’m very disappointed with this purchase. When I originally purchased an Otterbox case for my cellphone it included an outer rubber protector which had tabs enabling pressure on the corresponding tabs on the phone.

When this purchase arrived I was stunned to find that I cannot use the phone in the case because the outer protector was not included. At the price, it was ridiculous to omit this indispensable component, and I can’t find the necessary item among products offered on Otterbox’s website.

Without it, the purchase is useless and a complete waste of money. Otterbox absolutely should have disclosed the necessity of having the missing component. I regret this purchase.

I really like this case over all, though dust sometimes gets in and onto the screen under the screen cover through the gabs over the sound/front-facing camera/ LED light window. Otherwise, I have no issues with this case.

It’s much lighter and less bulky than previous defender cases I used on past phones and I like the colors (they’re true to the online colors). The screen cover is not glass, but feels like something between a glass and very high-quality non-glass screen protector.

I think because it is not attached directly to the screen and is attached to the case, it is a bit more durable. Previous models have made it impossible to use most wires and plugs, as the design was not conducive to allowing easy charging or access to headphones (remember the ones that had a screw-in cap?).

I also believe that the previous versions had thinner material connection between the case itself and the attached cap covering the charging port. This version has fixed both those problems. There are fewer detachable parts and better, thicker connections between the caps/covers and the case which leads me to believe this one doesn’t run the risk of losing pieces.

I also like how much easier it is to press the buttons, as formerly these types of cases would require a long fingernail and/or a hammer to change the volume. I do worry slightly that the soft portion of the case will come loose at the bottom and flap about over time, as after a week it is already slightly separated from the hard portion of the case.

However, this is to be expected with the caps at the bottom messing with the rigidity of the form. Will update in a few months. Overall, it is a very intelligently designed, highly-improved, protective case.

Not waterproof, but my phone is, supposedly and I don’t plan on swimming with it. 🙂 I recommend it to anyone worried about their screen breaking and don’t want to keep replacing glass screen protectors.

The weak point is the grip clasp. It sticks out a little and can get snagged. I’ve lost 3 to this quirk, but in all fairness the snags were pretty hard. I’ve also had my phone several years, and and the cases seem to last about a year.

I have no complaints for the price. The case is rugged and unobtrusive. Not an attention-getter but very functional. I love the built-in screen protector and wish more cases offered this. No issues with touch or visibility due to the protective film.

I swore by Otterbox until I found this one, and cannot say I’m disappointed. I actually like it better because it’s slimmer and the price is a no-brainer for the quality.

There are plenty of phone cases on the market these days. For all I know, it could be the very industry that’s driving the economy. So no matter what your taste and budget, there’s a case that’s just perfect for your phone.

For some phones, designing the perfect case isn’t particularly difficult. Choose a level of complexity. defender type multi layer, hard polycarbonate shell with rubberized finish, TPU skin. fabricate your parts and voila’, youre in the phone case business.

This seems to be especially true for iPhone and Samsung products; pretty much anything from the exotic to the mundane will get you where you want to go. But a VERY few phones are. well, different! The Edge would look stupid in an Otter Defender, whose clunky lines would entirely conceal the Edge’s sexy curved screen and case lines.

On the other side of the market, The Galaxy S6 Active, a uniquely stylish heavy duty ‘military grade’ phone with its vaultlike caseback, reinforcing rivets, shockprotecting corners, and side grip enhancements deserves something with a lot more panache than a matte black TPU skin.

It deserves a case that enhances its battlefield ready aura even further, accenting ALL of its original design and contours. It deserves a case that almost doesn’t look like a case at all, but the macho MIL-STD-810 shock hammer tested, waterproof, immersion proof, weather , sand, and mud proof beast underneath.

It deserves THIS case!.

I am a contractor and need better than average protection for my phone without it becoming much bulkier and this fits the bill. I have had it for about a month now and am very pleased. It is made exactly for the note 5 and the front and back pieces of the case fit so well together I have difficulty getting them apart.

The front piece is hard plastic with a clear plastic screen protector, the back has a stiff rubber rim that wraps up around the front piece and mates it perfectly, you cant tell it isn’t one piece. The phone then mounts in the clip with the screen facing the holster to give it the protection you are looking for.

I have had a similar set up with the otter box which is ok but in my opinion this is nicer because it does not have the bulk. it makes your phone about twice as thick and 5/16″ larger width and height, much less than the otter box.

Don’t get me wrong the otter box will likely give you better protection if you like to throw you phone but if you are looking for good protection and a way to carry you phone so it isn’t falling out of your pockets or getting sat on this is the way to go.

It is well worth the money. the holster is also made very well and I believe it will last a long time. the clip rotates firmly and keeps the phone in whatever position you wish. I suspect the plastic screen protector is what will cause a problem first as over time it will likely get marred up but when it does I just plan on removing it from the front piece and let the glass protector I have on the phone do the work it was meant to.

Go ahead and buy it! you wont be disappointed, it is quality!.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis is a good case that only has 2 pieces, buy this one. I ordered a 3 piece case when I bought my S7 phone. Problem with the 3 piece case was it sticks out way too far in the front.

Trying to touch the keys on the edges of the screen sucked. It was bad! So look at the case your buying. Don’t buy the 3 piece that has the front part clip on as well. Only buy the 2 piece that you push your phone into.

That way you can actually use the edges of your screen with the case. I did successfully return my 3 piece and they sent me this 2 piece case. They were very good to work with and all went smoothly. Highly recommend you give this a try.

IšverstiShow in original languageI really enjoy this case, it’s two piece design with the rubber on the inside helps to protect against shock. Only problem I have, is it has a couple “grip” rubber tabs, I guess you’d call them,.

on both sides where the buttons are, and I get confused if I’m not looking at the phone as to which are actual buttons and which are part of the case since they feel the same.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis product is very good, I was getting sick of wallet cases, but need all round protection. You cannot succeed with flimsy screen protectors with edge phones because the edges pop up when case goes on.

And most armour is so bulky and you don’t get edge functions. This one gives you all over protection, access to the edge without bulk, and looks nice and as sleek as an armour can be! I get slight non response very occasionally, but that’s probably more user than anything else.

All S7 Edge functions work perfectly, quick access all works with no issue. It stays in my car holder also, as I thought it might make it too heavy. So all in all I like it, it does the job and I can finally get rid of the wallet case! Thank you.

IšverstiShow in original languageAs usual Otterbox offers great protection for your phone. The only issue, I tried to use it with a glass screen protector, the sensitivity for the touch screen was really difficult.

I removed the glass screen protector which has helped with the use of the screen markedly. The only down side is that dust can still get between the screen and the protector on the case. Without having a screen protector on, the phone’s screen will become scratched over time.

As with other reviews the screen on the Otterbox case does not fit snuggly to the phone screen so the sensitivity of the touch screen is diminished slightly. Still worth using the case as it will save me from buying a new phone within a couple of months!.
