20 Best Protection For Apple Watch Series 2 (2023 Updated)

I thought I was ordering something of decent quality, but I was wrong. The plastic of the main case feels thin and cheap, at least the band seems to be slightly better quality. This case does not come with a screen protector yet they claim 360-degree protection, I was expecting this as I had read other reviews before purchasing.

You could probably use a thin sticker style screen protector with this case. It’s a little bulky which you tell from the photos, not really a problem for me. The silicone sleeve for the watch body is difficult to get seated in the front section of the case without it getting pushed back or squeezed out.

It will take multiple attempts to get it seated correctly, but not really a big deal just something to keep an eye out for. My biggest complaints are that the case makes the speaker in the watch sound distorted even though the manufacturer claims it doesn’t, and it seems to interfere with the altitude function of the watch.

I thought this case would make my apple watch a great tool for checking depth, using a timer, and having a compass while freediving, it does not. While I never expected the watch to be super-accurate, it seems that the case makes the readings way off.

When I put the watch in the case at home it reads +10m which is about right, but after walking 5 minutes down to sea level on the shore, the watch in the case get drastically different readings from minus 15m to +110m all the way through to minus 219m.

When I take the watch out of the case it reads +1m. Overall, yes, it will protect your watch, except for the face, but it will also make your watch sound distorted and throw off your altitude readings.

I have a Apple Watch series 5. The strap is comfortable and study. The case although strong when the top and bottom are screwed together, can feel breakable when trying to open. Do not use too much force when trying to open the case.

The inner plastic case needs to be put on the apple watch properly as to not leave openings when the hard case is put on. I recommend watching a youtube tutorial about opening and closing the case before you put your apple case in.

You may want to also get a screen protector too as the case doesnt cover the watch screen. EKG cannot be used while the watch is in the case but heart rate monitor works fine. Overall good protection that also looks good for your apple watch investment.

I’m giving the case 4 stars because my husband loves it. As of today, this will be my third time buying one for his watch. The first one lasted probably 6 months, which is great. My husband has a very active/rigorous job so I needed his watch protected by any and every means necessary.

But the second band only lasted a month. So honestly, I’m annoyed by that. However, if I’m being fair, when the cases break, the watch is unscathed. So obviously they work. I guess I just need to buy some stock in them.

I will be mindful on this third case to see how it holds up. I believe both of the cases have cracked in the middle, so I’m wondering if it’s a design flaw or weak spot.

I purchased this band because I had one similar to it. So I searched for the product I had before. When I found it and the pictures showed it was the same one. I decided to purchase it. But when I got it, it was similar but not what I purchased.

It was made of a cheaper quality. A lot more flemsiy compared to the original one I had. I tried before to replace the original one and it was a cheap one like this one. My watch would vibrate constantly and I would look thinking I had a notification but I didnt.

My original one none of the buttons were covered this one the long button was covered and that was why I got the vibration. As of this past Sunday Ive stopped using it all together because the button being pressed longer than 3 seconds calls 911 and it called them then sent a emergency sos to all my emergency contacts and tracked my every move.

Thats the part thats totally un-exceptable. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.

On the first day I had it I was at work and accidentally slammed my watch into a cinder block wall. It completely saved my watch which would have been shattered. The case got a few nicks in it and a scratch so it’s damaged some, but it completely saved a $450 watch without a doubt.

It’s a little bigger than I expected and wanted, but it still looks good. You have a trade-off to consider here. You can undoubtedly get smaller band/protective cases, but will they truly protect your watch? It’s a choice you’ll have to make for yourself.

Since it saved my watch I can’t complain at all.

Strong and Tough, may be to strong. I found it very hard to put the watch into the casing with out damaging the crown winder. Other than that its well made. But damaging the watch is very easy because of the stiffness around that area.

I got this from EBay and waited a week to put it on my Apple Watch. Anyone who gets an Apple Watch HAS to get a screen protector or they WILL get scratches on the screen. It’s way more sensitive than an IPhone.

I just regret not getting it sooner. As far as installation, when the product comes, you will receive an insert for going to their website and clicking on “Installation”. From there, you will be redirected to a YouTube video on how to apply the screen protector to your watch.

Before I did any of this, I researched Youtube on how to remove small scratches from your watch screen. The popular answer that worked the best was by far non-whitening toothpaste. You swirl around a small dot on the screen for 30-45 seconds, wipe off with damp rag and buff screen with included micro-fiber rag.

It did make it look better. Once the screen protector was on, you couldn’t even see the scratches at all. So far I think it was a good investment.

This is an excellent product. The video on Armor Suits web site is very clear; I dont think I could have fitted the screen protector so well without it. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to fit. The finished result is a perfect screen protector with no marks or bubbles.

You wouldnt even know its there.

Dude. This protector is gold! I’ve just applied it so we will have to see how it holds up but I can already tell it’s the best I was going to find. Literally invisible on my watch and it is actually HIDING all the scratches my screen had! And it had a lot! Took a little work to bend the screen around the sides so it may take a few minutes to apply.

Will definitely be buying again!.

I ended up with the wrong protective face cover. The one I have has space between the face and the cover making it difficult to enter info. The watch I have is Apple Watch SE 7. What can I do here? Thank you for your response.

This is a very good product that needs some introductory explanation to first time users so they understand the nature of the material of which the product is made. Then that could be of some help to first timers who will understand that the edges will not just fold over and folding the leading edges over the curves does not require force but should be done in gentle strokes over the curves.

Also, as the liquid underneath (between the material and the watch glass) is squeezed out and starts to dry out the material starts to stick to the glass. Finally, if there remain slight smudge like marks underneath along with possibly some really small bubbles, you can just learn to live with it or use the second piece for a second try, which no doubt will be much better.

The material is not a fingerprint magnet and feels great under my finger (with just the right feel of resistance for better slide control.

Armorsuit screen protectors truly are the best. The only Apple Watch screen protector I’ve found that covers the entire screen, not just the face. On my phone. watch, and ipods it feels like there’s nothing there.

Not tacky or grabby like most. I’ve found that they’re much less susceptible to damage than zagg. Less expensive too. Never had to deal with warranty and every kit I’ve purchased has come with 2 screen protectors in the box so if I somehow managed to damage one I already have a replacement.

Overly complicated product and wasteful packaging. You could accomplish the same results and faster results with a regular stick on screen protector. Don’t buy

The main problem I have with this particular unit is that when you sweat which you will do in the summertime especially here in hot humid Ohio, the inside case through to the glass cover becomes wet.

The only way to dry it out is to take the faceplate off which is not easy due to the way its made and then to take the watch out of the rubber cover which is also a little difficult. I realize the way that the watch is made and the way the sensors are that the backside of the watch has to remain open.

I like the watch case other than that but each and every day Im having to remove the watch to clean it out because of the sweat. I was thinking of ordering one for my wife for her Apple Watch and even ordering a second one for me prior to wearing it on a hot humid day.

Now I would not buy another one nor will I recommend this to anyone especially if they live in a hot humid climate.

It looks great. I like that the screen protector covers the face BUT. Its rugged. So supposed to be for physical activity???? As soon as you get warm the screen protector condensates and you cant use the touch screen.

Also the screen protector comes off as soon as it gets bumped. Ive lost two so far and Ive stopped using this thing after 2 weeks of having it. DONT BOTHER WITH IT.

Buy it from Amazon if you want it. This item is sold by the manufacturer on Amazon and they offer a great return policy. If you want to try this band, buy it direct from the manufacturer. I wasnt a fan of the band.

Seems cheap and the screen cover leaves a gap which sometimes makes the touch sensitivity less. Hard to write a message, etc on the screen. Preferred a different similar product.

I ordered (6-Pack) Apple Watch 42mm Screen Protector (Series 3 2 1) RinoGear iWatch Screen Protector for Apple Watch Series 3 42mm. I watched the wet installation video (very helpful) couple of times to ensure I follow exactly as I haven’t done this before.

The screen floats above and around the watch screen it is difficult to line up perfectly but I managed. However, it is nearly impossible to get rid of bubbles underneath. I had to let it completed dry over night to see if bubbles disappear but after two days it still didn’t.

I removed the screen and tried a second piece but still the same problems after two days of drying as once it dried the bubbles stayed in wherever they are. I tried the 3rd piece and sadly still same result.

I can see the touch screen that is on the watch seems work good but I just can’t bear the dirty looking screen. Now I only have two pieces left. Update: I contact RinoGear regarding my frustration. They refund my purchase in full immediately.

PRO-TIP: watch the video before installing! Not gonna lie I put off installing this onto my watch because I dreaded watching a video tutorial but I m so glad I did. Great product and easy application! Took me a little over 10 minutes to complete the installation.

Unlike some of the reviews I read, the screen protector adhered perfectly onto my watch on my first try. After reading some of the reviews, I was worried I d have trouble applying the screen protector and how the finished product would look but it was incredibly easy and flawless.

Granted I watched the video tutorial beforehand and followed the instructions. I m a huge fan of the wet installation and don t think I ll go back to the dry method ever again. This was so easy and forgiving.

I was able to correct the positioning of the screen until it was perfect without creating a big messy smudge AND I still have another 5 screen protectors! I m also really impressed that it covers the edges of the watch and how fast it adheres onto the watch (after only a few minutes of waiting for the screen to dry).

I love how flawless and sleek it looks I can t even tell there s a screen protector on the watch. I also wanted to note that I didn t see any microbubbles on the screen. Though it s only been 15 minutes since I installed the screen protector so I ll update this review if anything changes.

I’m using this product on my Apple Watch Series 3 just like I did on my Series 2 and love it because it offers protection while allowing the watch to be used in its naked state without adding bulk. It fits exactly the same on the Series 3 as the Series 2, and it should because the screen dimensions of the watch have not changed at all.

The product also does not impact touch screen sensitivity or cellular reception on the Series 3. Fairly simple to install too. I just dip the protector into a cup of soapy water, position on the face of the watch, hold it firmly in place while I squeegee out the excess water, then carefully press down the sides while intermittently warming the watch between my closed hands over the course of 2 to 3 minutes.

I then let it completely dry overnight while the watch sits on its charger (a little warmth from the charging process helps it to dry too). Once its dry, you really cannot tell the protector is on the watch.

Over time – and depending on how well you installed it and how careful you are with your watch – the edge or corner will inevitably begin to come up, but sometimes you can just lick the exposed edge/corner and press it back down/hold in place to make it last longer.

Or just peel the whole thing off and put on a new one. When you peel one of these protectors off for the first time you’ll see just how securely the product has stuck to the screen. I’m docking the product one star because sometimes there’s a small dimple or two in the filmprotector, but nothing that affects viewing the screen of the watch.

Otherwise, I highly recommend this product to Series 3, Series 2 and Series 1 users alike.

Beautiful soft material and accentuates my Gold series 7 watch face beautifully. The bumper lays flush, not bulky and wears fashionably, not taking away from the design. I have gold link bands that I wear (in place of Apple’s it came with) that are solid gold on one side and had pinkish enamel running down the middle on the other side.

Either way I wear it, I works and looks beautiful. The bumper is snug fitting, does not shift and I’m easily able the charge and exchange my bands without needing to remove the bumper. For $10 these are a steal.

Doubt I’ll ever use the black one, but it’s there if I want to have a black watch exterior. Definitely worth the purchase.

This product has provided me protection for my investment of an iWatch Series GPS beyond my expectations. The only issue I have is that it ride higher than the screen edge causing a little difficulty using the Touch Screen with ease.

However, it was not high enough (apparently) to prevent the lens protector I bought to add to protect my investment; the bubble caused by the seeming defect in shaping correctly to the lens left the lens protector primed to catch on something that caused the lens protector to pop right off.

Fortunately, the bumper that protects the sides of my watch is made so well that I find it difficult to see any sign that I’ve bumped into things; which happens all to often while working within machines throughout my daily work.

I love the bumpers more than the actual cases because the cases always trap moisture and constantly removing them scratches the watch over time because they’re made out of plastic. If you work out and exercise this option would be best for you when combining it with a screen protector.

I originally purchased this for the space grey color. It is a little too bright gray compared to the images and gives it a cheap look. Otherwise I ended up using the clear one and it looks better.

I’m glad I got this protective glass cover for my expensive Apple watch. I already have a little scratch on it, so I wanted to protect it from further damage. The cover does what is should and protects my watch glass.

I’m pretty rough with my watch and wear it all the time. I wear it gardening and am always afraid of damaging it. It was easy to put on my watch. The pull tab did pull off when I tried peeling the protective cover off, so I had to use my nails to get it off.

The cover stays on and has never come off. I toss and turn at night and it still stays put. I don’t have any problems with it hindering the functionality of my watch. The only complaint I have with the cover is that it does retain moisture inside of it.

It fits snugly on the watch and does protect it fully around all edges (this bumper is not an adequate form of protection for the screen and wasn’t designed to be). However, there’s quite a few issues with the item, in which makes it not something I can recommend purchasing.

1. It is somewhat bulky, but not terribly ugly looking. 2. Water doesn’t release or evaporate, so if you wear your watch when around water it will basically hold the water until whenever it naturally dries, which can be super annoying.

3. It “cracked” or separated about a week after purchasing, where the rubber/plastic portions meet, so that’s unfortunate. 4. The button isn’t permanently in-place. It’s held on by a piece of sticky foam, which eventually fails and causes the button to either push itself inward too far or to completely fall off & out.

Overall, I DO NOT recommend purchasing this bumper!.

The bumper offers protection while not feeling bulky. I have issues in the past where the cases for the Apple Watch tend to make it uncomfortable and much bigger than I want. However, I have been pretty happy with the Raptic Defense Edge.

I like how it keeps the dial exposed and easy to use. The button has a nice metallic look and provides a subtle but nice tactile feedback and doesn’t feel muddy like my previous cases. Just goes around the outside of the watch and provides good sufficient protection.

I’ve dropped the watch a handful of times already with no damage to the watch or case. I really like it, and I found that it added to the aethestic of the watch.

This is a great bumper for your Apple Watch. I like this one better than the type that requires removing the bands to install…it simply just pops on easily. And pops off easily when intended; not worried it will come off accidentally.

It makes cleaning it simple. It seems very sturdy as it is made from aluminum and coated to protect your device. And it doesn’t come with a cover over the screen, which is of benefit so when water or debris gets beneath it won’t interfere with functionality.

While it does add some bulk to the watch, I don’t feel like it is much and it looks nice. So far so good. I recommend getting this one.

Covers the screen rather well but difficult to install. What ever you do don’t touch the corners when removing from the sticker paper, if you touch the corners it will not stick. I ruined the first one and I’m glad it came with 2.

I did the second well but could not use the Watch case protector because it will lift the corners. One week so far and protects well.

This watch screen protector is the only one that covers the entire glass. You can’t tell it’s on there. The technology is great! Watch video for instal instructions and be sure to let it dry for at least 12 hours.

Comes off easy before it’s dry and can be re done as many times as it takes to get it perfect. The 2 pack is a great value.

I’ve had an OtterBox case on my last 3 iPhones and loved the protection. My iPhone 12 Pro Max has been similarly protected and after a hard fall onto concrete the case developed a small crack. The phone was well protected and is in perfect condition.

So, I was buying an OtterBox case for my Apple Watch series 6 and I mistakenly ordered the wrong size. I called customer service and the magic happened! The awesome rep agreed to replace the wrong case that I had ordered and included the same discount.

I’m happy, then she asked if I needed a case for my iPhone and I told her I had one but it was cracked. I didn’t want to buy a new one. She informed me that the guarantee provided a new case! I got the new case and the correct protection for my watch and the best customer service in any industry.

Huge Otterbox fan. Have otterbox for all my apple products. It’s a great idea for a case BUT the soft plastic part over time stretch’s and the hard plastic inner bumper keeps popping out due to this.

The case is alright but not as great quality as their other otterbox products. I love how it wraps around the watch to prevent the whole thing from popping off the watch like other watch cases but it just sucks how the inner hard plastic now keeps popping out constantly & afraid I’ll not be paying attention to it and lose it.

Have had the case for 8 months now and already needed a new one 3 months into the purchase.

I’ve always been a fan of otter box but have only used their phone case products. Was super excited to receive this for my fiancé who has a manual labor job and has broken several watch faces because of this.

The otter box watch case provides a protective feature that protects the screen from shattering regardless if you drop it or hit up against something. The band is comfortable to wear, however, it is relatively bulky and takes away from the skinny aspect of the Apple Watch.

This product is reliable, durable and is great for people who are active!.

The case fits great, barely tell it’s there, looks great, gives good enough access to buttons and great access to the screen. If you’re looking to put a screen protector on as well, beware. the case wraps so tightly to the watch’s frame that, when you click it into place, the crown side will roll up and catch the edge of your screen protector, peeling it up.

TL;DR if you want a screen protector, be prepared to cut to fit.

I don’t have to put my Apple Watch in an MMA hold just to get this case on or off. Aesthetically great and functionality is perfect. Wish there were more color options.

Honestly, I haven’t received my order, it’s been over a month! but honestly I’ve used UAG for 10 years and the truth is the best I’ve used in cases and accessories!!

I bought this to protect my Apple Watch. Asked a Best Buy tech if they would install it, they said “No”. So I did it myself at home. The glass screen constantly bubbled. After a week I got frustrated with constant bubbles and lifting.

So I bought a replacement glass screen protector. The same thing happened! So now I’ve spent $60 and am unhappy and frustrated. After two weeks with the annoying bubbles and lifting I went back in and talk to one of the techs.

After telling them my problems, they asked if they installed it for me. I told them that I asked them to but was told they couldn’t. So she said there’s nothing they could do since I did it myself. Total disappointment and frustration!.

I just spent $39 on this today, and applied it to my brand new Apple Watch 6. I really wish I trusted the other reviews (I mainly bought this because I trust Best Buy, and thought if other reviews were just picky).

Now I regret VERY MUCH, and really hope I trusted those reviews. Why this is a RIPOFF? 1) The quality is extremely low. The bubbles. Hard to push out, I pushed on my watch so hard, that now I am worried if the screen/sensor could have been compromised.

2) The edge does not stick. It is just a soft plastic hanging on the watch, it is not durable at all, and traps dirts/baterias. 3) The black edges make the watch screen smaller. Literally smaller, and the jeweiliness feeling of Apple Watch is just downgraded to like a gShock.

4) Finally, the price is REDICULOUS. What you get is a 1 buck case (cheap plastic), and a bad plastic screen protector (really bad plastic). Is it worth $40?! I hppe Best Buy put down this item, it is damaging the brand of Best Buy! 5) Final finally, can I still ask for a return?? I regret very much I got this and did not trust those reviews!.

My Modal lightning cables invariably stop working after a couple months (though I continue to replace them with Modal cables!) Unlike their lightning charging cables, I’ve not needed to replace this Modal product (except when upgrading watches).

I’ve been using Modal brand watch bumper cases since my first  Watch (the Series 1) and have been satisfied with the protection and appearance. They’ve absorbed quite a beating and resisted a number of thick, sticky liquid spills.

I’m convinced that without these bumpers, the Apple Watches I’ve worn would’ve been cosmetically ruined. Now I won’t use/wear a new Apple Watch without first putting on a Modal bumper case. I recommend anyone with an Apple Watch use this product (and believe I should be compensated for writing such an endorsement for the Modal/store brand!) Note: I should add a warning to point out the difficulty of putting these on.

If you’re not mechanically-inclined, prepare yourself for a challenge. Seek help or view a video tutorial. Minus one star for failing to include instructions.

Not great, one of them peeled my screen protector off right away. I had my screen protector perfectly in place with no bubbles for quite a while and this ruined it. They don’t really stay in place so they move slightly and lift the screen protector up.

They fit well but they move a bit because they’re a flexible tpu or some other kind of rubberized plastic material. A hard shell would offer more protection. Even as a stand-alone, I would not buy them again.

I have found better products since.

it looks great at first but gets dirty and yellows easily. I don’t like how fast it gets dirty. The clear one is hard to restore to the beautiful clear color that it comes as. It looks dingy and disgusting after a short time.

I had to dispose of it eventually and get a solid colored OtterBox cover instead. I went through two packs of these and decided to do something else. It is too bad because they are attractive at first.

Color of the bumper is awesome and gets attention from people. Functionality of the device is OK. Had a little trouble getting it to fit appropriately, especially with a screen which i highly recommend.

However, it does protect the watch if hit on the side. This is a minimal protection type deal for side bumps. Any contact on the face of the watch will damage the watch.

I bought the Modal bumper for my Apple 44mm Watch, Series 6. This is my first Apple Watch and I wanted to protect it. I’m pretty rough with my stuff. Since having the Modal protector bumper on my watch, I have zero scratches/scuffs.

It’s been over a month now and I’m very pleased with the performance. The cover doesn’t affect any of the buttons or speaker and microphone on the watch. The only negative that I can say is the clear cover doesn’t really show the color of my watch.

I’m very happy with the Modal watch bumper/protector. I would buy this again.
