20 Best Phone Case For Samsung S7 Edge (2023 Updated)

What I wanted was a real Windows Phone, not the awful thing that Balmer had on the market, and I wanted it in the size of a 2014 Samsung Core Prime. Left with a choice between Google and Apple, I chose Google and the Android.

As for size, the newest thing I could find that was even remotely close to the Core Prime form factor was this refurbished 2016 S-7. So the specs aren’t very good, but it’s the best fit I could find.

Out of the box you really couldn’t tell that it wasn’t new. There were no scratches or other indications that it had ever been used. So maybe it an NOS job. Whatever, certainly the condition was better than advertised, which is a real plus.

The Android system software level was quite far behind, and it is on its 4th push update at the moment. As for pre-installed apps, between Verizon, Google, and Samsung, the push on apps is super in-your-face aggressive – especially with Yelp.

It’s going to take a while to get it cleaned out and have it settle down with only what I want on it, assuming that is achievable at all. So am I happy with it? Not really, but it is as close as I could come to what I wanted, which isn’t very close.

For what it is, it’s pretty good. I would give it a C+.

First off, I must say, I am a dyed-in-the-wool, Apple programmer. That being said. I can safely say that the Android OS is hands down better than the iPhone IOS. I still believe that Macintosh technology is superior to Windows, but when it comes to iPhones, Apple really is lacking and their offerings are way more expensive.

I think they may have to seriously rethink their price/features points to compete in the next 5-10 years or they will lose massive market share. The iPhone is a good phone, but compared to the Samsung S7 Edge it’s a better value, imho.

Key Features: Better Display, richer colors, Edge display is way cool Better Camera, higher resolution More rugged: Waterproof Edge swiping: Allows you to launch apps and customize functions Better Audio: Allows for louder sound Overall the OS is more customizable, albeit it takes a little bit of discovery to find all the cool features, but it’s way better than my old iPhone 6.

The ability to use one of my other iMacs as a server to watch movies vie File Manager+ (a free app) is outrageously cool – not sure that the iPhone can do such a thing (unless you jailbreak it – a bit of a hassle) because there’s no file manager.

Of course I could be wrong, but I don’t think so. As I just heard as of July, 2109, IOS will finallybe featuring the use of external drives – (about time!) However, the S7 Edge has an easy to get at, built-in microSD slot which takes microSD cards up to 200GB! Overall, the S7 Edge is more delightful, has more cool features.

If you want a way cool phone at a low price point – $150, the S7 Edge will not disappoint! Samsung delivers and Apple’s iPhones will never be able to match Samsung’s price point – I’m not going back to the iPhone.

They’re way too overpriced for the limited features. Sorry Apple. Samsung wins in the phone department!.

Coming from the IPhone, which at this point is kind of a creepy walled garden where everything is Apple’s way or the highway, I like the Android OS MUCH better. Still some quirks and annoyances, but other ways to do things when you hit them, and not as many as on the IPhones, and the hardware seems much better all around.

The Galaxy S7 has a little different strategy for power. it’s hard to tell for sure since this is still a new phone to me and is pulling lots of updates, but it does appear to be using the battery a bit faster.

However, it also charges the battery much faster. In general I think this is a net gain, especially with decent sub $20 wireless charger pads all over ebay and amazon, and a simpler limitation to live with then a slower to discharge but slower to charge phone.

But there may be circumstances where it is a limitation. I also think this Samsung S7 is more honest about the battery. When it says 30% left, there is 30% battery left. When my IPhone said 30% left, it was time to panic, as it could drop to 0% in a heartbeat.

So the Samsung battery may last just as long, it just lies less then the IPhone and it will take me a few months to learn to trust after years of Apple lies and broken promises. Android also has far more rational security controls.

Apple has made a lot of changes designed to keep the FBI from being able to get into your phone, even with a warrant. That’s fine if you want it, but Apple has forced that default on everyone. Android lets you have a more rational balance between invasive and painful security controls versus the value of your data.

They leave room for a rational “medium level security” for “medium level risk”. The one I got was “overstock” for about $235, and for that, this thing is an insanely good value at the moment. It wasn’t new in box, it came in a non factory box, so I don’t think it was quite “new old stock” like advertised, but if there was any sign of use on it, I couldn’t find it.

It was absolutely perfect. I’ll use it for a couple years as my main phone, then maybe retire it as a dedicated dashboard engine monitor or something, which I will be able to do because its a more open system that I I can only add or modify ‘if it pleases the king’ Apple.

Love this Rinke shockproof case for my iPhone. It has port covers for the charger and earphone ports which helps keep dirt/dust out. My phone is rose gold and this cover matches perfectly and it is also clear enough to see iPhone logo on the back.

I would warn that this cover fits very snugly which would normally be great but I had to replace my glass screen protector due to the Rinke cover causing air bubbles to continually form under the glass protector.

I havent figured out what Im going to do about that yet. The Rinke case came with a thin film cover for screen but I wanted better protection for my phone. If it wasnt for that I would have given it a 5 star.

I love this case! I have puchased the Ringke Fusion case multiple times. The case is crystal clear, but like most clear cases it does yellow over time. Regardless of that, it’s a very nice, thin case.

I have dropped my phone several times and my phone is still working and has not cracks.

I have bought a Case Mate Barely There for both a Sony Xperia Z3 and Galaxy S7, and been happy with both. Key pros: Thin enough that any docks or wireless charging systems still function when the case is fitted.

Just enough grip to deter dropage but slippery enough to get in and out of your pocket without getting stuck! Yes, a minor matter, but actually some cases are so ‘sticky’/rubbery they get stuck so you have to use a lot of force to get the phone in or out of your pocket, that eventually rips the material.

The case is very quick to remove, yet proven durable too after one or two drops, although yet to drop either phone onto concrete. For some reason, I never drop my phones when they are cased! The case does not spoil the look of the phone either.

One more thing, I have a magnetic windshield mount (Scosche MAGICMOUNT PRO) and the metal plate fits nicely inside the Case Mate case. All in all, a great product. I think my only gripe is that the Xperia Z3 version that is identical in materials cost about 6 and the S7 one 15.

Seems like exploitation because the only difference is that that S7 is a more recent phone. Exploitation me thinks? 😉 One more thing, if you are not doing so already (I have not checked!) make a case for the lovely Moto Z, it needs a slimline case to protect it’s fragile screen and rear.

Y’all should get this case! At first, I was doubting that this case might be used/ tampered seal/ old stock. But it got me wrong! New and sealed! I’m from the Philippines and I had to find a way to get this case all the way from America! Totally worth every penny and every day I spent on waiting for this pretty case than buying a $50 one here at the Power Mac Center (kind of an Apple Store) I would definitely give 10 stars if I could.

Also, this is item got delivered to the address I gave in just 2 days! Quicker than said! Very happy costumer here from the Philippines! Totally worth the risk and wait! This is a quality, well-made case which provides very good all-round protection to the phone without being overly bulky. The materials look and feel very good. My only slight criticism is that the slim magnetic clasp struggles to stay closed with 2 credit cards in the front flap holder.

It’s quite adequate though with 1 card. I had a Tech21 case on my S7 for over 3 years with no problems and that had a more substantial wrap-round magnetic flap and capacity for 2 cards. I found that really handy for everyday use without also carrying a wallet.

I bought this case when I bought my 7+ iPhone new. Its done very well. But the little plastic piece around the face part started cracking just from age. I looked around and it was so hard to tell looking online, so I decided that I would just get the same case again if I could.

So I found it here at less than half the original price I paid for it. Its not bulky and it has a good feel to it. I liked that it was free shipping and it came pretty quickly. Satisfied all the way around.

And I can keep my phone a little bit longer.

I have owned two of these before and wanted one for my new iPhone SE (2022). I have dropped phones and this case really does provide excellent edge protection. It also keeps the screen from contacting the ground.

The first time I dropped phone, I couldn’t find a mark on the Tech 21 Evo Check anywhere. I guess the easiest way to sum it up is I won’t buy a different case.

Love this case, but what would make this case absolutely perfect would be a little kickstand to set it up while i watch videos. I can do without the stand, because the quality of this case is worth every penny! It came with a built in screen protector, which was nice, but made it look smudgey with my already installed screen protector, and didnt cover the area where the front camera and ear speaker were.

Not a problem, the screen protector comes off with careful hands, and i was able to use my own. However, i dont know if it would be possible to install this case if you have a glass screen protector, if youre into that sorta thing.

You wouldnt need it anyway with this case though. Would def buy again, for the price, cant beat it.

Very nice case. Came earlier than expected. If you ask a question they are very quick on responding. The only thing is a little difficult to get phone out of belt clip due to its slim design but extremely nice case would highly recommend I would buy again from them.

The case is very slim, solid, and easy to hold. The holster also seems to be well made. However, it would have been better if the top and bottom pieces weren’t already put together in the box (hard to get them apart without being attached to a phone).

Also, there is no built in kick stand on either the case or the holster (and it is too slick to prop up against other objects). Lastly, even though the up and down volume buttons work well, the power button is very difficult to depress (possibly designed to avoid accidental activation).

I bought this exact case when I bought my phone and it has protected my phone supremely! Dropping it on concrete, ceramic tile, constantly off the couch or my office chair as I fall a sleep. Never a scratch or a broken screen.

Phone in mint condition. I got this new case only because I had washed it so many times, daily! I wore away the exterior coating on the hard shell part. The Incipio DUO PRO is their best drop protection line.

I broke the screen on my Galaxy S4 after 4 years of mild abuse when it fell out of my pocket while I was working on my kid’s bike in the driveway. First ever broken phone. So I replaced it with the Galaxy S7.

My wife has the same phone and she put a Speck case on hers. I didn’t want to break my new phone. The phone is so slick by itself that I almost dropped it like 80 times. I liked her Speck case and I have never found a phone case that I liked so this is part miracle.

I decided that since I love Star Wars, I would buy the one that looks like a stormtrooper. This case is absolutely awesome. I will not drop it. It will not fall out of my pocket. My wife wants the grip case now.

She just doesn’t love Star Wars as much as I do. Fitment: Galaxy S7. It fits really tight. I almost thought it wouldn’t fit on my phone but it snapped right into place. It has a rubber edging that is higher than the screen so any flat surface won’t hit the screen.

Headphones: Fit great with Skull Candy. No interference. External Features: The cameras both work fine. The speakers are not impeded. Proximity sensor operates normal. Even the buttons are protected and are easy to operate.

Usability: It curls around all of the edges slightly so dragging items from one screen to adjacent screens requires a little extra push to get them to go with my fat fingers. If you’re going to buy the Speck, make sure that it’s the Grip version.

You won’t be disappointed.

After trying a number of other cases I’ve hit on the Speck Grip as my favorite. It provides extra hold on the phone so I am not afraid of dropping it and it provides proven protection with only a small change in size to an already thin phone.

Since there isn’t any screen protection provided on the surface of the screen the right kind of impact will cause damage to the phone but my experience with a clear plastic cover is that they tend to impede the usage of the phone.

I’ll take my chances and have the full warranty through my provider anyway. My S7 Galaxy Edge has fallen from 3-4 feet a number of times with no damage to case or phone. Any cover is a trade off of protection vs additional bulk but this is the best that I’ve found.

I never take the case off and would buy another in a heartbeat.

Bar None the best case I’ve ever had for a cell phone. I have dropped my phone countless of times on its side on its corners on the front,flat on its back and never have I had any issues. I even fell in the lake with it in November, jumped out of quickly took the phone out of it, shook the water out of it and no effect on my phone.

Not saying it makes your phone waterproof but it sure as heck delayed water entry into phone long enough for me to be able to take the phone out of its case and let it dry on its own instead of scrambling for a bag of rice.

The only reason I am purchasing a new one is because my phone sits on a ProClip cradle in my vehicle I have to take the phone out of the case and after a while of taking it out and putting it back in the sides and the back of the case started cracking.

But we’re talking about a period of more than one year. im getting a new case because I am worried that the small cracks may affect the performance of the case against impact.

I really like this case, phone is completely protected, but is not water proof. Very stylish, gives phone a whole new look. Screen protector works great, no issue with touch screen, all buttons work perfect too.

So far case has been durable, does not come apart when dropped, finish is holding up as well. The back panel does have to be removed for wireless charging, not a big deal though, snaps on/off real easy.

Good quality material. Product is sturdy. Its definitely built to protect your phone. Product is considerable more expensive versus other protective cases but you get your money’s worth. Ask yourself is a $5 or $10 stylish cheap case worth the cost of fixing a cracked screen because your phone was dropped and your cheap case failed and cracked along with your screen.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge. I hate the rounded edges for only one reason, the screen protector does not fit securely around the edges leaving debris under the lifted sides of the protector. Gross! I bought this case to get rid of the unsightly screen protector and have a phone that I love again.

I received this in 5-7 days as they said. When I opened up, it smelled so bad. Almost like a strong glue or vinegar smell. I’m not if I’ll use this as I don’t want that smell while I’m trying to talk on the phone.

I might just spray something on it to make it smell better but I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it.

Such a simple case, does exactly what I need. It Protects the screen while it is jammed in my purse next to my keys, it has a wrist strap and a couple of slots for license and credit card for running errands, it is perfect! Wish it came in lilac color, but the Navy is fine.
