Penetrating oil is a substance that can help to loosen a stuck water valve. It is typically applied to the valve with a brush or sprayer, and then left to sit for a period of time before being wiped or rinsed away.

The son-in-law’s grandfather owned a pontoon boat that has been in the water at it’s dock since he passed 7 years ago. No one has taken any precautions to take care of the boat. It hasn’t been operated in years of course.
They need to sell their lake house which means getting the boat out of the water. I am a seasoned mechanic so working on the boat isn’t new. But walking into a situation where I find a seized motor is.
This sucker wouldn’t turn no matter what I tried. I friend told me about deep creep so I pulled the plugs and sprayed the hell out of the cylinders and let it sit for a month. Just a few days ago I took a battery out to the boat and started bumping it.
Little by little the motor started to spin – 1/4″ at a time. It wasn’t doing this before. After several minutes of bumping it. It started to spin freely. I couldn’t believe it and immediately called my son-in-law who had previously gave up on the boat said he be out there next weekend to get back to work on it.
Now I got to figure out how to get the white snot out of the crankcase and put some good oil in it before I spin it more. Maybe I can get this running enough to move it to the ramp. I just want to get it out of the water.
I wasn’t REALLY thinking this would make a difference in my 1999 Ford truck. The name is goofy so I thought it was bs. , but my brother in law INSISTED! So I bought it- not at all expensive. Very very affordable ( well done on the makers’ part.
I thank you. I’m so broke, I can’t even pay attention!). So I dumped the funnny stuff in and forgot about it. Wow! My truck had so much Get Up And GO and the engine’s weird noise went away. Took me a day to figure out why my truck ( truck’s name is Freddy btw.
☺️ Yes. I gave my truck a name. I LOVE MY TRUCK! I’ve listened to certain Country and Western songs with love of truck in lyrics that have actually brought tears to my eyes. Love my truck!) Freedy is like a teenager again instead of a frail old man in ICU! My brother in law got a nice pot of chili for his insistence that I put something with a goofy name in my Freddy to make him hound again.
Wow you guys are freaking geniuses! Whatever magic is inside that little bottle is POWERFUL! Me and Freddy thank you. Wow. Just wow‼️.
Retired mechanic with over 50 years experience in dealerships & privately owned shops. I’ve used Deep Creep to free stuck nuts & bolts on just about every scenario one can imagine & with great success.
Even though I’m retired I still like to work on family & friends items & it’s nice to pick what you want to work on or don’t. I still use use this often for outboard motors & various small engine applications where they items have set up unused for months & often time years since it was last ran; simply pull the spark plugs & spray in a heavy dose & let it sit overnight, have freed-up many an engine using this method without damaging anything when you try to turn the motor over.
Yes there are other name brands out there to select from but I tend to stick with what proves itself in the field & Deep Creep has done that for me. Buy some & give it a try, you won’t regret it & might save yourself or someone else some money in the long run.

I needed to strip down an expensive mower The 10 No. M6 specialist bolts that held the axels and height adjusting gear to the aluminium deck were seized solid. The deck surface adjacent to the work area had become affected by oxidisation.
Impact force to loosen the nuts was ruled out due to lack of space. Heat was ruled out due to lack space and risk to retained components. The maximum force I could apply with my usual tools had no effect.
I had other tools for the SHIFT or SHEER option but hoped to avoid the resultant costs. I researched reviews on various penetrating oils and selected WD-40 penetrating oil for its consistently high ratings.
I picked up a tin at Halfords (cheapest place I could buy it on the day. ) I applied a double dose and left it overnight. I used the same tools that had previously failed but this time removed all 10 bolts.
It’s not cheap but it’s good; cheap stuff doesn’t usually work well and that’s dear.
I bought this item for to help me with my chainsaw repairs. so far it has been a great help in releasing rusty and corroded exhaust silencer bolts and nuts. I even had a seized solid engine in one of the saws,.
I removed the sparkplug and sprayed inside the cylinder head, and left it for a while to soak in. Sprayed again and slowly managed to get the engine to turn over. After repeating two or three times I checked the bore & piston and I found no visible damage or scratches visable.
So I would say that the product is excellent. THANKS JOHN.
Use 3INONE Lock Dry Lube to loosen lubricate and protect home auto and commercial locks. Easily reach into narrow lock mechanism with the attachable straw or use the wider spray pattern to refurbish and protect the entire lock.
3INONE Lock Dry Lube dries clear to the touch within minutes and is safe to use on metal wood and most plastic surfaces.
I use this product reliably for my outdoor facing keyholes to help protect from freezing in the winter and seizing up from dust and debris. Has worked well for me with locks and door knobs with built in keyholes facing the elements.
My wife was complaining that her house key and our spare “hidden” key were no longer working and that she had spent over ten minutes trying to get either key to work. I went to the store intending to get the keys recut when I spotted this product.
Having faith in the WD-40 name, I bought a can instead of new keys. It was magic!! Not only did all our keys slip into the keyhole easily, but they also could be withdrawn with the same ease. Fantastic product that does exactly what it advertises on the can.
A scientific principle reduces the surface tension so that this amazing solvent creeps into openings as small as one millionth of an inch. Kroil loosens frozen metal joints in minutes. Dissolves gum, dried grease, and oil — without attacking the metal.
Displaces water, provides lubrication and prevents rust.
This product worked to pull a prop off of a 70hp Mercury outboard that had been on there at least 30 years and probably closer to 40. No amount of Blaster would work at the time. I used about half of the 8oz can to get the prop off eventually.
It takes some real work with a 2×4 and a hammer or better yet, a rubber mallet. I applied the Kroil several times on a Saturday with little to no budging of the prop at that point. I applied 1 more treatment (poured into shaft) and let it sit for a week just because I couldn’t get back to working on it.
That probably helped more than anything and the following Saturday, I took a rubber mallet to the prop and had it off in about 15 minutes or less. Great product for loosening up old connections.
Despite it’s toxic stink, this stuff is probably the best gun cleaner and bore cleaner solvent there is. Better then Hoppe’s, better then Shooters choice, better then Ed’s Red, better then any of em.
I just swab the bore with this, let it soak 10 minutes (NEVER leave it in your bore overnight, can cause corrosion) then run a tornado brush through 10 times and it gets the bore cleaner then anything else i’ve tried.
Got a rusty manifold to take off your car? Just soak it with this Kroil the night before. It’ll make any job involving rusty parts a lot easier. They don’t sell it locally so I get mine from ebay ’cause this stuff is worth it.
GREAT product! I was skeptical of the reviews, but I was desperate. I had two seized bolts on on old Evinrude outboard motor and Liquid Wrench and WD-40 both failed me. This product, “Kano Kroil,” penetrated and loosened the bolts and I got them both out! I think it is magic! We used a similar product in the Air Force that we called “break-free” and this works like it did.
Heavy-duty lubricant has thousands of uses. Loosen rusted parts, free sticky mechanisms and drive out moisture. Clean grease, grime and other marks from most surfaces. even remove stickers and adhesives.
Protect metal from moisture and corrosive elements.
It’s a nice sized can of a very useful solvent with some lubricating qualities. I use WD-40 for a lot of things, and this is a nice sized can for cheaper than just about anywhere. WD-40 is primarily a water repellent solvent.
It works well to dry out distributors (Back in the day when they had points and condensers inside of them) It works great as a tool preservative, if you spray the tool and wipe it with a paper towel that is also sprayed with WD-40 it will remove all the water and inhibit rust.
I don’t use it to lubricate hinges, either in buildings or vehicles, but it has a million uses besides that. (WD-40 will not last as long as some top-quality lubricants for hinges. The brand I use is Wurth HHS-K.
It sprays on, doesn’t run at all and you won’t need to re-lube the car door hinge for years. ) I do use WD-40 to loosen up frozen or just plain cruddy car door locks that don’t want to open. It is particularly useful at removing cheap price tags that have cuts in them so you cannot remove them in one piece.
Spray it with WD-40 and the tag will come right off a minute or two later. Then a tiny bit of dish soap will remove the WD-40. (Plates, glasses, cups, bowls, etc. etc. ).
I use a lot of WD-40 for many things from bolt/nut loosening to battery post protection. Spraying aluminum brackets and assemblies with WD prevent the white ‘rust’ aluminum gets (oxidation) as well. Spray it and rust has a holiday for a few months.
I use a qt spray bottle, shake it well before using (you can see an opaque white ‘layer’ settled at the bottle of the spray bottle) and you always have a fresh batch. I use the flexible nozzle can as well for targeted applications but the bulk sprayer is a great addition to the WD arsenal.
BTW, I transfer the gallon to a clothes soar or softener bottle with a pushbutton release to make refilling the qt bottle easier.
WD-40 , really y’all ? What can one say about the best spray lube in the world , seriously this stuff should be standard equipment on all machinery. I use it for lube to cleaning , my wife uses it for odds and ends as well.
Come to think of it everyone in my house uses it. My family keeps three cans at all times one in the cabinet , one in my tool chest and one in my hobby area. My advice getcha some , you won’t regret it.
Happy WD-40 customer for 45+ years. Be Safe , Everyone !.
The Oil That Creeps, loosens frozen metal parts. A scientific discovery reduces the surface tension so that this amazing solvent creeps into openings as small as one millionth of an inch. Wherever there is corrosion due to heat, salt water, chemical action or weathering Kroil will loosen metal joints in a few minutes time, saving labor, equipment and temper.
It dissolves gum, dried grease and oil, removes rust and carbon deposits without attacking the metal and provides proper lubrication. Resists wetting so prevents rust.
There is no question that the bolt head of my starter motor would have broken off if I had not used a good penetrating oil. [The other bolt already did break off– no penetrating oil used– , and this second bolt felt just as unyielding.
So I bought the Kano Kroil. ] I first fully removed the old bad starter motor by drilling and chipping away its lug area surrounding the bolt. Then I made a silicone seal dam around the bottom of the bolt, applied the Kroil to the area inside the dam with an eye dropper, put in a bit of tissue paper to wick the Kroil to the bolt threads, and applied more Kroil daily for a week (because the dam was not perfect, and leaked slowly).
After all this, I just finally decided to put enough force on my wrench and let come what may. To my great surprise the bolt moved and did not break! Whether another penetrating oil would have also worked, I can not know.
But the Kroil did work, and that’s what mattered to me.

I’m a ground maintenance worker at my local state park, and this trusted shop standby has a new use – preventing camper’s fees from ending up in the wrong hands. Let me explain. We have a camping fee drop box that is pillaged at night, mainly from non-campers stealing camper’s fee envelopes.
What they usually do is that they take a wired coat hanger, place some adhesive on one end, and fish the envelopes from the slot. Coming from a tech background, I know that the WD-40 Multi-Use Product is a really effective dissolver of adhesives.
To this product’s success, it has successfully dissolved wet patch roofing adhesive to CatchMaster Bulk, the very same or similar glue substance used on many rodent glue traps. It even leaves no residue behind so that no envelopes are easily rippable.
If there was one question I’d ask, that would be “What happened to the non-aerosol-based WD-40 Multi-Use Product Trigger Pro?” It had a very nice spray area as far as I’ve read, and I’m wondering if it will make a comeback.
With this product being over 50 years old, it continues to astound me. My grandfather and father used and introduced me to it, and I’m a fan of this humble spray can. Thanks!.
The name of this item is “WD-40 Multi-Use Product”. Nowhere on the bottle does it claim to be a lubricant. Nowhere on the bottle does it say Multi-Use lubricant. WD-40 does not make that claim. Canadian tire just made it up out of thin air.
WD-40 is a solvent and a degreaser. The exact opposite of a lubricant. It can lubricate, it is not a lubricant. Very different things. If a tool is gummed up with grease and grime it will dissolve the grime and unstick the tool.
In that way it lubricates the tool by dissolving the grime that was holding it in place. But it is not an actual lubricant by itself. Its a clean and it gets stuck parts moving again so you can clean it off and apply a real lubricant afterwards.
I didn’t use this on my car but on my Impala Rollerskates. I saw a YouTube channel of this girl with Impala Rollerskates cleaning her bearings with WD-40 instead of speed cream. It actually worked out! I wouldn’t use it all the time but it’s a handy alternative to have when you’re in a pinch.
Be sure your bearings are super clean with the pure acetone. Soak them in pure acetone for a minute or two if they’re really dirty, spin bearings and let them dry. Otherwise, you can use the Bones Bearing cleaner a few times or make your own bearings cleaner.
When you go to use the WD-40 be liberal with it. Spin your bearings right after and let them dry on a lint free towel on top of cardboard magazine. If your bearings seem stuck or slower to spin than the other bearings you can try soaking or cleaning them again.
Once they are dry try reapplying the WD-40. If your bearings are still stuck then you probably need to replace your bearings. Good luck! Tip: Spray outside, wear goggles, gloves & a mask.

I was removing a 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid steering intermediate shaft, which was rusted like it was soaked in slat water for ages. I sprayed another leading brand oil and it didn’t even help over a day soaking with it.
After reading reviews about PB, I said let’s give it a try. To my surprise this thing worked within 15 minutes. During the removal I applied it twice on the shaft teeth to facilitate a smooth removal.
A must have for an automotive DIY’er in their tool box and throw or recycle all the other rust penetrant canisters. There is nothing worse than getting stranded with a rusted hardware in the vehicle you are working on.
Seemed to work OK. I bought it to just loosen up a windshield wiper arm hinge and spring. They werent actually seized but were tight and not putting enough pressure on the windscrean for the wipers to clean properly.
Seamed to help a bit. PB B’laster isn’t specifically a lubricant so I hit the joint with some Bitron Penetrating Lubricant a few days later. That seemed to help a little more yet again. Next week I install some Yeti spring assisters!.
The world famous Blaster Penetrating Catalyst is more than just great PB – quickly breaks loose surface tension rust and corrosion by creeping up around and into hard-to-reach cavities. It’s ideal for brake exhaust and suspension system jobs, plus lubricating film remains on parts to help prevent further rusting.

No Spray Bottle Included with my gallon. It’s not a big deal, I can buy a cheap spray bottle of cleaner and recycle after it’s empty, but that’s extra effort I wasn’t expecting. I got the gallon because it’s much cheaper than buying a bunch of cans if you need a lot of this product.
I’ve been using PB Blaster for years, it’s good stuff. Although I hate the smell. The can is basically the same type paint thinner or wood stain comes in. I’ve read a number of reviews saying it doesn’t pour well.
So make sure you use a good sized funnel when pouring. The gallon size makes it a great value, and this was the least expensive I could find it. Although, if it’s not going to come with the spray bottle, it shouldn’t be in the listings picture.
It doesn’t say anywhere that a spray bottle is included, but I know from experience they’re meant to come with one. That is why I deducted 1 star, and the seller is going to get a less than perfect review as well.
The Oil That Creeps and Loosens Frozen Metal Parts.
Brand: Kano Catalogue # 8OZ Size: 200x700x400.
Great stuff a friend who works at an oil refinery said they use this product all the time it’s the best on the market. I have to agree I used it to free a bolt on a very old car thats been in the weather for 27 yrs.
I put some on let it sit for about 20 minutes, the bolt started to move and froze up. I put a few mor drops and let it sit for an hour and it freed that bolt that was so rusty. I had to scrape it just to get a 1/2″ drive socket on it.
it has a pleasant aroma compared to other penetrating oils and works well on most applications it works pretty well on musical instruments without damaging the fine metals used in their production don’t forget to plan on application tools as this has a rather large Orpheus tip for smaller applications.
great light weight penetrating oil that will work on a lot of applications.
Advanced formula valve oil is the best valve oil that Denis Wick has to offer. With a special anti-evaporation compound, the advanced formula valve oil is ideally suited for marching bands who perform in hot weather.
Its lack of residue makes it a great favourite amongst horn-players who don’t want to be taking valves apart to clean out gunky residue. The microscopic particles of PTFE carry on lubricating much longer than other valve oils have evaporated.
Advanced formula is especially useful for instruments with larger valves as there is no need for constant re-application. Denis Wick Advanced formula valve oil, can be used on all piston and rotary valves and is virtually odourless.
it simply is the best valve oil on the market and I wouldn’t use anything else. It was recommended to me by a member of my brass band and it has always been a good product to use. It is a product that is oil -based, not water and it sticks to my valves and lubricates them beautifully.
I have used this product for many years now, and never fail to be happy with the results it produces. When you’ve spent lots of good money on getting yourself the best instrument you can afford, why trash it with cheap nasty sticky oil that clogs up your valves, or constantly needs reapplying ? This IS almost the best valve oil I’ve ever used ~ my favourite is no longer available sadly ! Need to play slippery semiquavers ~ get this on your valves first, then whizz away to the best of your ability.
Denis Wick valve oil with PTFE. Works really well as thin lube for yo-yo bearings (unresponsive). The viscosity is very low which means it doesn’t noticeably decrease spins times when compared to a dry bearing, but it definitely reduces the noise from the bearing.
Also much better value than lube marketed specifically for yo-yos.
Slip-Joint Outlet 1/4-Turn Angle Valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures – faucets, toilets, dishwashers, icemakers, washing machines, etc. The angle valve is most often used where the water pipe enters the room from the wall.
With a 90° turn of the valve handle, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without shutting off the water to the entire home.
I purchased 2 of these and the first one installed fine with no problems. The second one was leaking out of the 1/2inch compression joint. I tried tightening it more and that didn’t work. I removed it and added more teflon tape and that didn’t work.
I noticed the compression nut looked slightly crooked, so I removed it, retaped the threads and put it back on, but each time, once I tightened it a little, ut still looked like the 1/2″ nut was crooked, so it wasn’t allowing a good seal around the compression ring and against the pipe.
I wound up finally using the compression nut from the old valve I was replacing and that finally fixed it. Maybe I got the one in a million with a defect that got past quality control, but it was no fun to deal with.

I haul granular(and dusty) fertilizer for a living in a trailer with screw on safety locks on the rear. These are frequently brushed and oiled to operate. I was on a 2 week vacation and when I returned, I couldn’t move one of the latches, and the other one just barely moved.
I sprayed Free All on them and let them alone for a couple of hours. Later, they both were free and with another coat, the operate like new again. This stuff eats rust. The fragrance is different and nice.
I’ve given a can to 2 different friends and they were amazed as well. This is so much better than Kroil and cheaper. A little goes a long way.
I use Freeall for many lubricating and freeing up rusted nuts and bolts. Nothing beat’s a Freeall for the rust and stuck bolts. The stuff is amazing. Would highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.
Castle Thrust Penetrating Oil frees rusted, corroded, and frozen parts: When you have bolts, nuts, threads or other fasteners that wont budge, Castle Thrust Penetrating Oil is your solution. Thrusts unique ion-activated formula actually penetrates through rust and corrosion, forms a strong bond with the metal and frees the frozen part.
Spray it on, tap the joint or fastener to help speed penetration, allow 3 minutes for the penetrating action to work. In a few minutes, your part is free! Lubricates and Protects, Castles unique low viscosity formula creeps into narrow spaces and breaks the bond that rust has on metal.
Thrust has a special blend formula with Additive M resisting high temperature breakdown while its working and Additive E-P working to keep everything lubricated even after you have loosened your rusted or corrosive part.
It lasts for a longer period of time under more extreme conditions. In addition, this unique formula provides a protective layer to stop future rust from forming. Easy to use, Castle Penetrating Oil has a straw applicator allowing you to reach the precise spot necessary to free the stuck part.
Also, Castle Thrust foaming action directs the penetrating oil to the source of the problem preventing excessive runoff that wastes your product. Youll need less product to do the job. And, it takes less time to loosen stuck nuts, bolts and gears when the oil is not running all over the place.
Thrust Penetrating Oil frees stuck nuts, bolts, locks, etc. and lubricates to prevent and protect those parts from becoming stuck again as it quiets those squeaks or noises coming from metal parts rubbing together.
The oil displaces any water that may be present and provides a protective layer to the metal against moisture damage. In rare situations more severe solutions may be necessary. If Thrust Penetrating Oil wont do the job, no other penetrating oil will either.
But, Castle Torque Master is a superior anti-seize compound that withstands extreme pressures in excess of 50,000 psi and works in those rare scenarios when more torque is needed. Acts faster, penetrates deeper and lubricates better.
Use less force to free threaded mechanical parts that are rusted on tight. Not only does it eliminate rust on nuts, bolts, and other metal parts, it cleans and stops corrosion, too. You will find this unique formula works where other products fail.
Auto Mechanics love it. Your perfect fast-action penetrating oil for tough jobs. Youll find it to be your go-to oil for many applications. Age Group: adult.
This product is the best I have ever used. Like, any chemical you have to take CAUTION. This stuff dissolves rust softens many other things that may have been applied many years previou. when applied works quickly with all my experiences.
I have always been very satisfied with the results.

This product contains Teflon and Boron Nitride nano particles to protect the Teflon from wear. As a test I used it to lubricate a diamond coated file, 600 grit used against tempered 440C high carbon stainless steel.
The abrasive action of the file was 20% less than with regular light oil but the effort needed was reduced by about 80%. Unlike regular oil the diamond coating was protected from wear and ease of effort made up for the loss in abrasive quality making the work much easier.
This will also work good for hack saw blades with metal and other similar uses. For chain saw, motors and other needs, this company makes specialised products. Check out their website for entire product line.
I could see how this would work really well for loosening bolts. Do NOT use this with a fine sharpening stone or stropping, the nano partials will clog it and ruin the abrasive action. For coarse grit or regular file it should be fine.
This is the best of the penetrating oils. We had a decorative item bolted into the concrete beside our pool. Outdoors for years, the bolt was very rusty and I could not unscrew it. Liquid Wrench plus 5 minutes equalled easy removal.
Keeps firearms ready in all weather conditions. Made of high-quality polymerized synthetic oils with special friction reducing, anti-wear additives & special rust inhibitors. Reduces metal-to-metal wear by keeping surface areas separated with advanced boundary film.
Does not degrade, even under high temps or extreme pressure. Penetrating power displaces & loosens firing residue & other contaminants from bearing areas.
I was introduced to Break Free as a teenager in the US Army. We used Break Free on every functional part of our weapons – handguns and rifles. Break Free CLP cleaned and protected my M-16 through every element known to man.
From the coldest Alaskan wilderness to the hot desert sands of Arabia. It kept moisture from destroying the rifle in the wet humid jungles of Panama and the swamps of Louisiana. Today, as a civilian, I continue to trust my gun collection to Break Free and would consider nothing else in its place.
It has passed the tests of time and condition and has earned my greatest trust when my life depended upon it. I use it on the interior and exterior of all my guns with complete trust and confidence.
This product used to be available at the gun store where I did business. In the ’80’s, I guess the company won a contract with the military and I couldn’t find it anymore. What little I had left, I treated it like gold.
Hands down, this is the best product I have ever used for keeping your firearms in top condition. To me, this stuff is priceless.
I admit that I really preferred to replace my pint size spray container and this was all that was available at the time. But I like the product and use it liberally in cleaning and lubricating my weapons.
I would rate the product a 5, but only gave it a 4 because of the extra caution needed in refilling my pint bottle from the gallon container-even using a funnel you still get a little overflow to clean up.
On the positive side I probaboly have enough CLP for ca,. 7 yrs.

Using non paslode oils in nail gun caused gun to stop firing. Changed back to paslode oil and now they work again.

Used this product for years – and tried many others – Plusgas is by far and away the best. Can is better – and probably wiser – from both an environmental and climate change perspective. Keeps a 31 year old car on the road.
which saves a significant amount of energy in terms of not producing a new vehicle.
I kept braking bolts and good old Wd was not helping me. A pal of mine Reminded me of that old blue tinned stuff we used to use, PlusGas. I eventually found the new Black canned version and I have only broken 2 bolts since and that was because I could not get the PlusGas into where the bolt was.
I would recommend this to most people as it has saved me much time & money.
As an enthusiastic old car enthusiast and a London FX4 taxi restorer and mechanic , I have used Plus Gas for years with great success. I would certainly recommend it over many of its competitors similar products.
If you’re trying to remove a stuck water valve, one option is to use a penetrating oil. This type of oil seeps into small spaces and can help loosen stuck parts. To use a penetrating oil, first shut off the water to the valve.
Then, apply the oil to the valve and wait a few minutes before trying to turn the valve. If the valve still won’t budge, you may need to apply more oil or try another method.
