20 Best No Iron Dress Shirts (2023 Updated)

This shirt from Van Heusen really surprised and impressed me, and my wife, and my coworkers! I haven’t owned many articles of clothing from Van Heusen, but that is absolutely about to change. The colors are bold, the pattern pleasing, and both have maintained through numerous washings.

It fits as expected, and is long enough to stay tucked even when I have to move around a lot for my job (I’m a wedding photographer). The collar stays crisp even after a long day of wear. The fabric is comfortable, which is essential after a hard day at work.

I’ve received several compliments about the shirt, which is icing on the cake! I can dress it up with a tie and sports jacket, or wear it untucked with a pair of jeans. which is great for someone who travels a lot for work – I need versatile clothing so I can pack light.

I would definitely recommend this shirt. and I will definitely get more projects for the Van Heusen line!.

When this shirt came in, I loved the color and the material, but I have a couple issues I want to address. PROS: Color Material, really lightweight, great for summer. CONS: The sleeves are too dang poofy.

The packaging was TERRIBLE. Whoever decided the little plastic bits are better than metal pins needs to wake up. They are annoying, and hard to cut without damaging the shirt. They are tight on the fabric so they left more holes than regular pins, and weeks later, I am still stepping on them around my room since they get lost once you cut them off.

Incredibly annoying.

This shirt is very nice, with this being said it was very hard to open it had a type of string attached so when you pull it would break and it did cause a hole in the collar of shirt. I would much prefer a more simple approach to unboxing shirt as this caused a bit of damage.

I must say the shirt is very detailed and nicely colored. I love the side pocket, looks like a button up that would be perfect for a professional setting. This product washes great and does not shirk when dried, the color has stayed very nice after multiple washes.

The fit is very comfortable and not to loose, I would definately recommend this shirt to others.

This shirt fits like it was tailored for me. I’m 5’10” and 155lbs and got it in a Small and it fits perfect in my shoulders, in arm length, body fit, and length. The material is incredible; definitely the new-age, keep-you-cool technology which I’ll love here living in Texas.

The pattern is a pretty classic micro-gingham pattern which will look good both dressed up with a sport coat or worn more casually (as intended). Some nice little details throughout as well including the stitching patterns and the buttons.

And like all things TH, it’s a high quality garment. Great shirt – will likely get another!.

I’m picky when it comes to dress shirts. I’m that guy. When I first touched this dress shirt, I didn’t love the feel of it, but when I put it on, it was extremely comfortable to the touch. The fit is true to size, doesn’t run too big or too small.

Honestly, this is the only slim fit article of clothing I’ve ever actually enjoyed wearing. It does not feel super slim to me, so that’s one thing to be mindful of if your prefer the tight fitting sort of slim fit.

The sleeve length is great, I would be comfortable rolling the sleeves or leaving them out. I also love that it’s designed to not need to be tucked in, I hate tucking shirts in.

This dress shirt is super comfortable. I normally tuck my dress shirts in but if I didn’t want to, usually they are too long or not designed right to leave it out and have it look nice. That’s why I gave this one a try.

The length and style is really nice to not tuck it in but if I did want to tuck it in, it’s still long enough for me where it doesn’t slide out and look frumpy. The sleeve length was good for me too.

It washes up nicely and I’ve not had any issues with it shrinking and the wrinkling is very minimal. It is a slim fitting shirt but I’m a slim guy so no issues there either. Overall, very pleased with it and would purchase more.

I was really excited to get my white Slim Fit Long Sleeve Button-Down Shirt for Men. I love to wear white Button-Down shirts under my suit jacket. I like to be traditional when it comes to wearing a suit and when I have to attend a job interview or something more traditional, I’ll wear a white Button Down.

The shirt fit well, it’s made a good material, and it’s a nice bright white color. I would be interested to see if this is available in other colors! The shirt was very comfortable to wear, and my tie fits into the collar well.

This is a very high-quality white shirt. The materials that it is made of are perfect and feel great to the skin. I love that I can wear the shirt to the office, a wedding, or a nice date and it is a perfect fit.

There is nothing fancy about the shirt but it is designed very well and fits perfectly. I would highly highly recommend this shirt to anyone in the market. You cannot go wrong with a classic white button up for so many occasions.

Super comfy shirt that fits great. Not too bulky around the midsection which is important to me. I have broad shoulders and a narrowing waistline and this shirt fits great. True fit as well. Comfortable around the neck and the sleeves are a great length.

Best part is this shirt just keeps getting softer with every wash. I can wear this shirt all day with no issues. Could probably even play a pick up game of basketball in it. Love this shirt. Highly Recommend.

I ordered a custom shirt online from Pickashirt that took a month to get here and did not come from London but was shipped from Singapore. Collar was so stiff and was impossible to button and the sleeves were too long by an inch on each side.

Decided last minute to order this shirt from Men’s Warehouse for a wedding I had in a week as it was the same measurements and slim fit as the custom shirt I ordered overseas and take a chance. The Men’s Warehouse shirt fit me absolutely perfectly.

I could not be happier and will order EVERYTHING from them from now on. As far as the shirt from Singapore, I’ll be polishing the wax off my car with that thing.

I bought these shirts for work, I didn’t really need Calvin Klein, but it’s all I could find in my size, slim fit, non-iron, and in stock. I also prefer the buttons match the shirts as I don’t wear a tie, so that further limited my options.

Before Covid I would typically spend about $30-$40 per shirt on Van Huesen shirts but they’ve become hard to find with my requirements, so when I saw the price of $60, I was reluctant to place the order, but I’m glad I did.

As soon as I put it on, I could feel why the price was higher, the feel and quality of the shirt was amazing. I’ve ordered a total of four of these, two in Charcoal Gray and two in Navy Blue, keeping all of them.

I love my Slim Fit Long Sleeve Button-Down Shirt! It is made with great quality material and the stitching is amazing work. It doesn’t wrinkle so that eliminates the use of ironing which is a win, win for me.

I’m all for cutting time. I work in mine but also wear it out for dinner with my family paired with jeans. It’s perfect for this time of year but not just that for me. I wear long sleeve shirts in summer months to keep the sun from burning my arms while at work because of medications I take and this particular shirt has breathable material.

So I consider it a multi use shirt for folks like myself.

Really odd shirt fit. Its definitely not a slim fit. The shoulders are right, but bottom of the arm holes are too wide. Sleeves are normal with extra large cuffs. Waist is almost a good taper then suddenly balloons out.

I dont think Ive ever had a shirt this oddly proportioned.

Really like this shirt, it is very comfortable. I wish I had noticed there is no pocket. However, I’d still buy it again because I like the fit and feel.

I purchase this shirt, as a result of scanning eBay for almost a month looking for a green shirt. And as a result, I came across to this Emerald Green Long Sleeve Fitted Shirt Made by Arrow. The color of the shirt is what attracted me; not too bright and not too light.

I would usually wear a regular fitment shirt. However, with this particular shirt; it was labelled “Fitted. ” After doing a little research, I decided to take a chance with this fitted shirt. Low and behold, it fits me perfect just like a regular shirt.

All in all, this is a well made dress shirt made by a well known company.

I purchased three of these and I love them but I would like to share a few things I found out after I wore them. These are a synthetic blend, not sure what the percentage is but BE CAREFUL with your iron after you wash them.

The blend will not tolerate a lot of heat. Also the light colored shirts stained by my antiperspirent the first time I wore them. I have washed and dried a few times now and they seem to wear very well.

Still very happy with them and will buy more. The tag says made in Egypt.

Good things first – this shirt is way more comfortable than a normal men’s dress shirt. For one thing, it flexes! No more worrying about busting a seam just by moving your arms around. You can also get your hand through the cuff without unbuttoning it.

It’s not too see-through; you’ll still want to wear an undershirt just because you should, but you could probably get away with not doing it if that’s more your speed. The fit is pretty good; I like that you can specify slim vs.

normal (and even the normal isn’t too voluminous). Because of the stretchy material, even if your neck size is a bit big for the rest of your size (as in the case of my husband), you can still manage to close the last button and not choke yourself in the process.

Potential improvements: yes, there are two fits, but I’d like to see more (or maybe just more customization – be able to specify sleeve length and neck width as well as overall shirt size). My husband has broad shoulders and a big head (which means larger neck), but the rest of him is normal sized.

He basically wears a large in neck and shoulders and a medium in everything else, which makes him hard to shop for. Other than that, I can’t think of any improvements – this is a game changer for summer weddings/formal events where you know you’re going to get sweaty and there’s nothing you can do about it! Also all those wedding photos that have you doing weird things like holding the groom up – this shirt allows more movement so you can actually do stuff like that.

This is a nice white shirt. The front pocket is a little small for holding a pen, but it will still do the job – and the size of the pocket actually looks better design-wise on this shirt. The manufacturing of the shirt seems great – I didn’t find any loose threads or anything of that nature.

I bought a size small & slim, but I should have waited and gotten the XS, in slim-fit. This shirt will still work, especially if I gain weight down the road. It did come with some light wrinkles from where it had been well-folded and packaged – they wouldn’t come out with washing etc, so I got it pressed at my local dry-cleaner.

That made it look perfect. Afterwards, I still developed some wrinkles, because I have to tuck-in a bit (again, I bought it a little big). I found-out that a cheap small steamer (not an iron, but just a steamer, like for drapes) works wonders on these! In no time at all, the steam gets every wrinkle out, and the shirt looks good as new.

The fabric itself is quite comfortable on the skin. It appears cleaner, nicer, and more professional than other white shirts I have (including name-brand western shirts, dress shirts, and tuxedo shirts).

I said all that to say this – I will definitely get the XS slim-fit – this is a really good shirt.

This is a great dress shirt. And yes, I poured water on my husband’s arm to check its claim to being resistant. It was fun to watch the water bead and roll off the shirt. We were also impressed with the lightweight quality of the fabric; we recently moved to a humid area and are hoping this shirt holds up well to that! The true test of its breathability will come in a few months when the weather heats up.

I tossed the shirt in the dryer when I first opened the packaging and the creases came out pretty well. However, I don’t think my husband hung it up after wearing it for pictures and it needed another dryer run for church the next day.

And while I would have preferred that he put his shirt away after wearing it for 5 minutes, I was also hoping it wouldn’t wrinkle right up if casually folded instead of hung. Overall, I think we’re pleased with the purchase and will be back! Oh, I’m also glad I checked the measurements and fit before I ordered.

When I went with those instead of the usual small, medium, and large portions, I got a better fitting shirt.

When I found these shirt (pinpoint & classic oxford) for my husband whoopee we can cut our dry cleaning bill! My husband wears dress shirts 5 days a week. I can not guess how many of these we have bought over the many years since we found them, and he rotates his shirts so the same ones don’t get worn all the time (he also only wears them once and they go in the laundry).

We do know fabric does wear out and when the crease in the collar started wearing and the cuff started wearing did not think to much about it, maybe the cuff is wearing on “my watch” but could not come up with an excuse for the collar fold in the back.

It just seemed like I was starting to replace more and more shirts, the button area around the button down collar, crease in the sleeves along with the cuffs and the collars, at one time we had a seamstress that could flip the collars to get more wear out of them but she retired.

At one point I started complaining Bean replaced a few of the shirts and one day was told they no longer have the lifetime warranty but only a year, how was I to know when I purchased the shirt, call your CS and have them look it up? Almost all were white with a few blue ones, they all look alike.

After reading all these reviews and seeing the same problems that we have I can not blame my husband for wearing out his shirts it seems to be a quality control problem. What I do know is he has a closet of frayed shirts.

Do you want them back to replace them for him? I was going to order a couple for his birthday at the end of the year but now I am rethinking that idea.

I have been buying my husband’s dress shirts exclusively from LLBean for over 25 years. Over the past 2 or more years, each and every shirt has self-destructed: tiny holes around the collar, frayed cuffs, a sudden tear at the crease in the sleeve.

I emailed customer service and was told that if the shirts weren’t recently purchased, nothing could be done. I was told to bring the shirts in to my local LLBean and see what they might be able to do for me.

So, I brought 5 different self-destructed shirts to my local LLBean, and was thoroughly rebuffed and told this was “normal wear and tear. ” Seriously? I don’t think this sort of fabric breakdown is “normal.

” Looking through the reviews online, it looks like I’m not the only one dealing with this problem. I’ve been such a loyal LLBean customer all these years – but now I’m not only feeling LLBean’s lack of loyalty, but I’m also loathe to buy any more shirts of your shirts ever again.

Overall, this seems like a great shirt. It fits nice, it looks good, and is wrinkle free. There is a catch though. The problem is that the shirt pocket has a design flaw. I have gone through quite a few of these shirts over the years because the bottom of the pocket gradually splits along the inside, and whatever I had in there ends up in my shirt at my belt line.

I have had way too many shirts fail this way. It doesn’t take very long either. I expect a shirt to wear gradually over a long period of time. Long ago, I have had other shirts that I wore regularly that lasted so long people would tell me they could see through the shirts.

These shirts die quickly when they go. I purchased 6 of this style shirt over the past several years and I have 2 left. These shirts do not get old and gray. I contacted customer service about this issue and was underwhelmed with their willingness to help.

I like LL Bean, but won’t buy tis shirt again.

Ironically, when I received this survey, I am sitting in my office wearing this shirt. I wore the other pattern yesterday. I am fully satisfied with this shirt. The quality is great, the feel is very comfortable, and the fit is perfect for me.

I have a wardrobe filled with Orvis clothing for good reasons. I am a college instructor and always wish to have a business appearance. I teach engineering related courses so my clothing is subject to lecture and laboratory settings, and needs to withstand the rigors of both.

I am pleased with the feel and the fit, as well. Paired with a pair of Ultimate Khakis, I am comfortable in a Board meeting or machinery in the lab. I believe the Orvis logo on all of my clothing to be a great value when you look at the ROI.

I also appreciate the ability to customize sizing for a perfect fit. I am a LT in shirts and a 34 inch Trim fit with a 35 in. Inseam. I have difficulty finding clothes that meet my expectations and size.

I’ve been buying shirts from Orvis for a few years. Overall I like the look and features of Orvis shirts. But there seems to be a trend over the last year or so to move towards more “active fit” shirts, especially when it comes to lightweight summer shirts.

I like these types of shirts, the ones that are usually synthetic, quick drying, and feature things like sunglass cleaners, roll-up sleeves and vents. Yet the current crop of these action shirts all seem to be “Active Fit”.

And active fit does not work well with my active-but-not-“active” body style. So I’m happy to see that there’s a good summer type shirt that is in the old Classic Fit cut. I love the feel of the cotton in this shirt, and it fits generously.

Oh yeah, it looks good. I hope Orvis doesn’t forget some of its customer base when they come around with next season’s shirts. Active Fit is fine for certain body types, but don’t forget Classic Fit!.

It was a really hot day here in Connecticut, and I needed a nice shirt to wear for lunch at a nice restaurant with my family. I decided to wear the Clearwater Seersucker blue color shirt with a light blue pair of shorts with boat shoes.

The shirt is very light and comfortable, perfect for a hot day if you don’t want to wear a polo or t-shirt. The Orvis logo located on the top of the left hand side of pocket of the shirt displays the brand to show it proudly.

An extra nice touch to the shirt is the sunglass polish hidden inside at the bottom of the lower right side corner, very handy to use for your glasses or sunglasses. It is located exactly behind the 2nd Orvis logo that is written downward.

I also need to add that the buttons are good quality and not the usual cheap white buttons that other brands provided. Awesome shirt, highly recommend to get all the colors.

I got these for my husband to wear for physical therapy. He is very happy with them. They are comfortable and allow him to move freely during his therapy sessions. I would buy them again and recommend them for anyone wanting comfortable exercise clothing.

Was a good price for a well constructed dress shirt. Color was dead on. Only complaint I would have was size seems to run a bit small.

wash great and wear is comfortable. I like the poly and cotton mix. These are perfect for the fall and spring wear where something a little lighter is the key to comfort.

GOOD QUALITY AND NICE PRICE

I had not purchased any Land’s End product in years. Recently I found myself in need of some business-casual, button-down, short- and long-sleeve shirts. I had always been a Van Heusen guy, but couldn’t find anything I liked.

anywhere, any brand. Then I remembered Land’s End having decent stuff. Found these online, ordered them, received them fairly quickly. Frankly, I was shocked (OK, very pleasantly surprised) at the quality of these shirts.

Substantial fabric (not think/see-through), great cut/fit (classic fit), great construction, generous shirttails for tuccking, and impressive little details like the sideways buttonhole at the bottom.

And the price!! Dang, I don’t remember exactly what I paid, but it was definitely less than what I’d been paying for other dress shirts over the years. I’ve already been back to Land’s End online to buy more.

I have been buying Land’s End shirts for over 20 years. They used to be made of high-quality cloth that was durable, had a great feel, would not rapidly fray, and never rip wide open by surprise with normal wear.

This fraying and ripping has happened with several of my Land’s End oxford shirts over the past few years, and with two over the past month. It NEVER happened before. Obviously Land’s End decided the previous shirts were lasting too long, so they redesigned them to fall apart after less than a year’s wear.

This way, people have to buy them more often. Note also, they did something similar to cheapen their dress pants. At least the oxford shirt is nice up until it starts to prematurely fall apart. Very bad business model Land’s End.

Sizing of both shirts is not accurate as they are both larger than what I normally get. I have other shirts from Lands’ End what are the same size but fit me better. These are approximately one full size larger than I should be.

These are mostly cotton and so there is a chance they may shrink up a little. The quality of the shirts has gone down as the fabric is much thinner than it used to be. It also took five months to get these shirts.

I have been purchasing Land’s End products for 30 years, and I’ve never had a product we of these qualities before. I am in hopes things will settle back down and they will go back to the quality product they used to be.

The shirt is very good quality but it runs too large. I first ordered an XL(my regular size),then exchanged it for a large, but I still can’t wear it and will have to have it taken in. I would probably do better with a Medium.

This is a shirt with a couple “performance” features, not a performance shirt. There is some level of stretch to the fabric, but it’s nowhere near things like Mizzen+Main or Lululemon. It dries more quickly than cotton, but nowhere near as quickly as the true performance shirts mentioned previously.

I would also question whether this is really a non-iron shirt – it still looked kind of crinkly after I ran it through the dryer. The fit is excellent (I’m 6’3, 165 and bought a medium, trim fit). The quality of the stitching around the buttons was a bit of a let down – lots of loose ends that get caught around the buttons when you undo them.

If you’re looking for a well-fitting shirt with the look and feel of a traditional cotton dress shirt with decent stretch that dries a *little* bit faster than a 100% cotton product, this is decent. If, like me, you saw their marketing touting a high degree of stretch, super quick drying, “performance” fabric, guys doing push-ups in the shirts etc, you’re likely to be disappointed.

The shirt itself also doesn’t feel super high quality – I have a shirt from Abercrombie that feels substantially better made.

It’s a nice shirt but unfortunately it has a loose thread sticking out from the front top of the chest area. These shirts tend to cost more than I would typically spend so I expect a higher level of quality, so I am a bit disappointed with this purchase.

The other shirt was fine but this shirt has a loose thread that I was not expecting. I tried cutting the thread down a bit but don’t want to further damage the shirt. This is not something that I was expecting to have to deal with when purchasing this shirt.

I already reached out to Twillory’s customer service but have not heard back yet. I may return the shirt for a new one but this is TBD at this point in time. I’m a bit surprised that an inspector or some quality control apparatus in place didn’t catch this defect before mailing the shirt out.

Unfortunately, I have to give this one star. I have purchased several safe cotton shirts, which have worked fine, but this one came apart at the shoulder seam after using it three times. I am meticulous in following the care instructions, so very disappointed.

I probably won’t attempt a return and will move on to something else. At $100. 00, I have higher expectations. I’m starting to feel that there are some disadvantages to online clothing retailers. Even though they have made the return process as easy as possible, it seems like a waste of time.

I will go back to the tried and true brick-and-mortar option for dress shirts and dress pants and use the online option for particular, hard-to-find options.

My husband had Nordstrom shirts 30+ years years ago when he was working as an engineer and a CEO of a company. He still owns and loves those same shirts! They have worn some, lost a button here and there, but are still in remarkably good shape.

He is now retired but still wears them as everyday, work around the house and yard shirts. He finds them that comfortable! This year, for his birthday, I decided he deserved some new white shirts. I got him 2 from Nordstrom and 2 from another company – to compare.

The Nordstrom shirts, all these years later, are still the best! They are the same good quality, fairly priced and have the same soft feel he loves. The others I ordered were the same size but the sleeves were way too short and the fabric, even though they were more expensive and seemingly should have been soft based on the type of cotton, did not have as nice a feel.

I returned those and am getting him 2 more of these Nordstrom shirts! They are truly perfect!.

Quality dress shirt for daily business attire. Nice classic fit and well-constructed; buttons, collar, and stitching. I developed a pre-wash hack for the collars of my dress shirts before I have them dry cleaned.

This shirt washes well through that process. Pleasantly pleased with the value at this price point! Competitive alternative to Brooks Brothers. Recommended!.

For several years I have bought the traditional non-wrinkle travelers shirts. They have been outstanding. My husband is still able to wear your past shirts but these new ones have been cut in size around the waist significantly.

They do not come even close to fitting. It is so disappointing to have you skimp on fabric in this way. If it was a slim fit it would be understandable. I hope you will go back to the excellent quality and sizing you have had for so many years.
