Best Night Ever Tv Show (2024 Updated)

“The Cemetery” was the first and most frighteningly memorable episode of Night Gallery I watched. It was the first episode on this DVD set. It’s also a little unsettling to know that most of the actors featured in this DVD set are dead.

Later Night Gallery episodes also feature a few tie-in episodes with another television series called: “The Sixth Sense” starring Gary Collins. The Night Gallery set came well packaged in a nice, sturdy, multiple DVD case.

I just love the romp down memory lane with these old 60s & 70s television shows. They just don’t make entertainment like this anymore today. This DVD set is a very good value just for the quality entertainment and satisfaction I get out of watching them.

First, the DVD set is “all inclusive” – containing not only the lost episodes – but a couple of duplicates – so if you say – “Didn’t I just see that?” – yes, you did! Second, it’s surprising who shows up as director – can you believe Steven Spielberg? And Leonard Nimoy are among them? There’s a host of the truly famous – Joan Crawford, Ossie Davis, Sam Jaffe, Richard Kiley, Roddy McDowall and Barry Sullivan to name a few.

But, equally, there’s a larger host of persons who were being groomed for stardom but didn’t quite make it. Pretty people who just never took off??? Anyway, I found it an interesting DVD series – the plots telegraph themselves but they are interesting takes on various occult writers at the time, including Lovecraft.

For the money, it’s worth taking this trip down memory lane. Two thumbs up.

first off, the packaging is horribe. I have to remove discs to see the episode guides. also very flimsy, and have had some of the holders come off in my hands. Then there’s doubles of episodes. The guide menus are different, as if they just threw the pilot episode with the other seasons.

This only includes the unaltered broadcast episodes, so that’s a good thing if that’s what you want.

is why this set is getting a 3 star review. Produced to pander to the people who cry “the picture doesn’t fill my entire screen” the quality of the episodes suffer from being cropped and zoomed in. Picture quality would not have suffered if left in the 4:3 aspect ratio.

The series itself is fun enough, although coming at the end of creator Glen Larson’s career it does NOT measure up to many other of his series: Battlestar Galactica, Knight Rider, etc. If you are a Larson fan, grab it at a low price.

Taking a chance on an entire series can be a little scary, what happens if you watch the 1st episode and don’t like it? Thankfully that didn’t happen, a darker show but worthy of watching

I vaguely remember the show, but the price was right for so much content. However the case was broken on upper spindle and upper rim of box, so buyer beware.

I bought this for my husband. He saw this at the movies when he was a kid and hadnt seen it since. He’s been a fan of The Beatles since he first saw them on Ed Sullivan. Watching this movie made him realize how innocent funny was backnin the 60s compared to today.

It isnt very funny but Id recommed it for Beatles collectors.

What can I say about the Fab Four that hasn’t already been said. Their music is bright, their lyrics are simple, and their compositions are creative. Every track on this cd is great!. A Hard Days Night is an absolute classic.

A must for any Beatle fan. It’s filled with catchy tunes that stay with you throughout the day. Before filming, movie producers approached John about writing a title track song. Lennon and McCartney collaborated that night and the next day presented A Hard Days Night for the film.

That gives new meaning to the words music maker. The Beatles Rock!.

This movie was made to show the beginnings of the phenomenon known as Beatlemania. Still relevant and funny when viewed through the prism of over fifty years ago. The film has been credited as being very influential for its technical details.

For those of a certain age, tell your children and grandchildren to forget about it being in black and white and enjoy learning a little about how you grew up. Phil Collins has claimed to be in the audience for some of the songs.

the plus side: this is the best print I have seen of this film. The picture is awesome and so is the soundtrack! And not just from the standpoint of the movie & song contents but the actual viewing and listening experience is tremendous! One can tell that this blu ray disc was painstakingly created.

the negative side: it is a dual format disc which incudes the DVD version and the special features are the same that’s on the blu ray. Unless your blu ray player is broken you will probably never go back to the DVD version after viewing the blu ray.

But don’t let that distract you. you MUST view this film in blu ray to really appreciate it!.

The Beatles movie A HARD DAY’S NIGHT marks the 50th anniversary of the day when the Fab Four arrived in the U. S. and their first feature film ever. I remembered when I was a 3 years old, my parents, my relatives, and I went to the old drive-in theatre to watch A HARD DAY’S NIGHT.

I became a huge Beatles fan at a young age. I saw the movie approximately 100 times. When I heard that the movie A HARD DAY’S NIGHT would be re-released and remastered on the Blu-ray/DVD Criterion Collection on June 24, 2014, it landed on my birthday.

It was the best birthday present ever. I still love the Beatles. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!.

There’s no question that this is one of the best musical comedies of all time. The natural comedic timing between all four Beatles is effortless and genius. You can see the innocent, playful connection that occurred prior to The Beatles parting ways.

This Criterion release is a great nod to this classic and it needs to be in your collection.

I Really Like This Classic Old TV Series and Jessica Fletcher Was a Good Person and and Angela Lansbury Was a Great Actress. at Her Times and Won Four Emmy Awards and Was Nominated For 12 and Really Like That it Comes With All 12 Seasons on DVD and She Always Knew How Too Solve The Crimes Before The Cops and The Detectives Did and They Would Always Eventually Case For Her Advice.

and She Was Smart at Her Job Way Better Than The Cops and Detectives. and I am Still on Season 1 I Hope Too Move on Too The 2nd Season Soon and I Bought at My Local Walmart.

I’m a fan and enjoyed the series. Gald to own it. Now watching season 9. So far season 8 disc 1 = Disc Error and will not play at all. Hope it’s the only disc I’ll have replaced.

I actually purchased this Series 24 set as a gift. I purchased my own set a year ago. This is the best series I have ever watched. It is intense from the first hour to the last. Series 8 is unbelievable.

It was sad to think it was the last. I will for sure purchase the new 24 Series starting May 5th as soon as it is available. I am thrilled 24 is coming back. If you like intense, thrillers, not being able to guess what will happen or when, you will love this series.

Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, the good, but bad (tough) Counter Terrorist (CTU) Agent won’t stop for anything (anyone) in his way to get the job done. This series keeps you guessing at all times.

Who do you trust, who gets captured or killed. This whole series, should be watched before the new series starts. This is the best of the best. Kiefer Sutherland, is fantastic. You won’t be sorry with this purchase!.

It is reality based, and with contempory plots. Lots of action and scenario twists. It supplies the viewer with a behind the scenes look at politics and Law Enforcement with a very limited bias. It engages the mind more than the emotions.

The characters are easy to relate to and the acting is top rate. Each episode is a high quality mini-movie.

LIKED THE SHOW VERY MUCH. EVERYTHING WAS ALL THERE EXCEPT FOR A MAN IN HIS POSITION BEING SO DARN POLITE. NOW THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN BEING POLITE BUT IT REALLY DID NOT FIT.

One of my favorite t. v. comedies of all time. have only had a chance to watch 2 episodes since it has arrived have not watched the extras yet either but am looking forward to it. still incredibly funny even after 24 years.

Pro: every dang episode. Con: not a pristine blu-ray pic & even a little sub par for dvd. haven’t found cc option either. all in all, it’s just nice to see these episodes again. for absurdist humor this is about as good as sitcoms have ever gotten.

goofy quotes from this show have stuck in my head for over 2 decades. definitely worth the 34 smackers or less you can currently get it for on e-bay/amazon. i’d give the series a 5 star rating the box set gets a 4.

Wow ! 14 hours of the best comedy show of the 90s. Why was this show only on for 2 seasons? Comes with booklet that lists all the episodes. It was too bad the show was on the air for such a brief period of time.

This television comedy had it all; crazy parents, crazy friends, violence, joy, heartbreak, stupidity. Many, many laughs. I will probably watch all the episodes multiple times. My favorite episode was the one where he was living with Gus in that house that was built on a toxic waste dump and the toxins made him very smart.

I don’t think I had seen all the episodes when it was still on tv. It was nice to see all the episodes finally. I highly recommend this show to people who love zany comedy’s.

I bought this DVD set because I loved the show back in the 90’s when it first aired. I love Chris Elliott, he is Soooo funny. I watched every episode about 5 times already it is too hilarious. This has got to be one of the funniest tv shows ever.

I can’t say anything I dont like about it other than I wish there were more episodes to watch. too bad they can’t bring this show back!.

This is the best of a host of videos showing footage from the Tonight Show during the Carson years. What separates this Johnny Carson video from the others is the way it explores Carson’s life including influences from childhood, relationship with parents, his marriages, business and charitable dealings, and relationships with Ed and several of today’s top comics.

Very well done and an outstanding portrait of the man we came of love as host of the tonight show. Narration by Kevin Spacey is excellent. Outtakes also very interesting and entertaining. Much, much more than a collection of footage from the Tonight show.

If you want a Johnny Carson/Tonight Show video – this is the place to start.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Johnny Carson and grew up watching him – occasionally with my Dad while he was alive. I have owned the Best of Carson for many years and still enjoy watching them occasionally.

This set gives the viewer a lot of background about Mr. Carson’s very personal life off-camera.

Despite all the smutty TV shows these days, PBS continues to make available quality programming as always. Carson’s shows were entertaining and we loved them. Today’s talk shows are nothing but advertisements for the so-called Hollywood stars who appear to promote their latest films.

they are so boring. Give me PBS, anytime!.

This was a tv movie for a different time. Long before Mulder and Scully we had Carl Kolchak. A newspaper reporter that comes up on impossible. Made by the legend Dan Curtis ( Dark Shadows, Trilogy of Terror ) to name a few.

A horror film that was well made. You get to know the characters and feel for them. Like with all Horrors some of them are not going to make it. The Blu ray is very good picture given this was filmed back in the 70’s.

Plus also see the follow up movie The Night Strangler. Have a great classic Horror night in.

This was one of the most anticipated Blurays of 2019 and did not disappoint, both The Night Stalker (1972) & The Night Strangler (1974) were remastered in 2K cleaned up and looks as good as new. Sadly the spin off TV series KOLCHACK: THE NIGHT STALKER will not get such treatment as yet.

The Night Stalker changed the TV movie experiment forever proving that you could tell an incredible story on Television compelling, frightening and changed TV forever there would be no X-Files if it wasn’t for The Night Stalker.

This is a great movie for people who are getting too much sleep. ENJOY.

This 2018 blu ray production of the 1972 TV Movie is a great print. Picture quality and audio is great. It’s a really good story with a good cast:Carol Lynley, Simon Oakland, Claude Akins, Elisha Cook, Kent Smith, Larry Linville.

Story revolves around a vampire murdering young women on the Vegas Strip with the great Carl Kolchak on the case.

When this show first started on Adult Swim I thought it looked ridiculously gross and I paid it no mind. Until I saw exactly one scene from season 3 about squirrels. I nearly died, and knew I had to check it out.

I have never binge watched anything this quickly before in my life. This show is beyond entertaining, hilarious, makes great points and so many phenomenal one liners you HAVE to watch it multiple times to make sure you catch them all.

I do believe you have to have a certain type of humor to appreciate it. I mean, clearly it’s not for everyone. But beyond the laughs and the perfectly placed profanity, it continues to surprise you with the amount of character development and depth that pops up in certain episodes.

You could be laughing your head off, and then something happens that makes you rethink what you just watched. Suddenly, there’s a reason behind the crazy and the jokes. You get an eye opener on some of these characters and suddenly the whole story takes on meaning.

It’s no longer just another funny show out there to JUST be randomly funny. There is an underlining story that you get a little bit of piece by piece, here and there. The complexities of Rick are stripped down to a simple thing when we’re allowed to see it.

It’s so enjoyable to see these little nuances, I could go on for days. Months ago I never would have thought that I would be so caught up in this show. Or, so enamored. If you have a sense of humor, want to laugh until you cry and want something with more meaning than the momentary laugh.

Check this show out. And if in the end you feel like you wasted your time watching it, you can always build a portal gun, bail on your dimension, go to one where you didn’t watch it, yet died, bury your dead self in the backyard and take their/your place.

There is literally a character in two episodes whose proper name is “Mr. Poopy Butthole. ” If you believe that the Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park have pushed the Envelope as far as they can POSSIBLY go, then you’ve obviously NOT seen Justin Roiland’s Rick and Morty.

Imagine an R rated “Back to the Future” if Doc Brown were a misanthrope and Marty McFly was utterly dim witted and you have the adventures of the smartest person in the Universe Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty.

Rick and Morty’s adventures take place in various places in time and space and involve sex, violence, drugs, espionage, and conquest of the universe set amid a seemly normal dysfunctional nuclear family.

Rick’s hijinx and one liners alone make the series worth watching, but the addition of his family and various characters he’s met over years of interstellar travel make this worth watching. This show is DEFINITELY PG-13.

Anyone younger than 13 might not be ready for the VERY adult themes and language.

This is a review of Rick and Morty Season 2. I will be getting it on dvd. Season 2 Is just as good if not better than season 1. Rick and Morty is a very funny and clever show and would easily be a perfectly scored show compared to many of the other shows on Adult Swim.

This season features guest voice actors such as Keith David and Stephen Colbert. Though the series is mostly funny there are some pretty deep scenes as well that catch you by surprise. A well written and thought out show even though it has a lot of improvisation (Though this only makes it better) Rick and Morty is easily one of the best shows you can watch on the Adult Swim tv channel that originated one this channel.

Great show for Stevie Wonder fans. The video quality is outstanding and the stereo sound is excellent

Stevie performs excellant with his incredable stage set. Not many have resources and talents of all the top musicians and vocalists. Dvd contains wonderful selection and order of songs. I would like to of heard more jammin and extended versions of songs like superstition and higher ground, but he did fit 31 songs in the set.

As for the recording, you can tell it is not in a studio and the 5. 1 surround is weak. Overall a good disk for any collection-.

I have to say being a musician for over 6 years now, I’ve seen many music concerts from some of the greatest musicians of my time (and before me time). This concert tops them all! It was the most enjoyable music DVD I’ve ever watched.

Once it started I couldn’t leave my seat, and it’s over 2 hours long! Stevie Wonder has always been a great inspiration to me, but to see him perform 31 songs and do it like only Stevie can was just amazing to me.

And the band. oooh wee! This is a must-have for anyone who appreciates true musicianship, hands down.

I love JA! Was so excited to see this, unfortunately it left me a bit disappointed & wanting more. I thought the interviews with him were exceptionally lacking & boring. It’s just him driving around in a country setting not really telling us anything about him or his life other than he likes to be alone & go to the woods to think, hunt & get away.

That’s it. Wish he would’ve opened up more & I could’ve learned something more about him & his life & music from a personal perspective. I love seeing him in concert but unless u actually attended this concert, I don’t think it’s something u will watch more than once.

I wouldnt recommend buying but worth watching on netflix on a rainy day if u like his music.

This was a let down. I love JA’s music but this DVD is short, not good quality sound & JA sounds horrible live. I would not recommend for those reasons. It was a major let down & not worth the price paid.

The XR-55A95K has some great features which include acoustic surface audio+, this means that sound comes directly from the screen thus greatly enhancing your visual and audio pleasure. This is made possible by actuators delicately vibrating to create sound that moves within the picture so that dialogue and effects can be heard from precisely the right places.

The unit also has two sub woofers. Other features are Bravia Core, HDMI 2. 1 and Google Tv. The Sony XR-55A95K is well served on the connectivity front with an impressive array of functionality with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, Ethernet, HDMI.

There are 4 HDMI sockets on board and although only two of these are 2. 1 48Gbps standard, all four sockets support Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low-Latency Mode. The two 2. 1 standard inputs also cover eARC, 4K @ 120Hz and Auto Tone Mapping.

There are two USB inputs, Main and Sub satellite tuner ports and an RF input. The Bluetooth connection is 4. 2 and there are also speaker posts so that the TV can be used as a centre channel in a surround sound system for their Sony.

A 3. 5mm socket is also present for use with composite video or centre speaker output. This Sony smart TV has QD-OLED technology or Quantum Dot, which I’m led to believe is designed to be a composite of the best qualities of both OLED and QLED know-how.

Now, I’m no techno geek, but whatever the technology is, the one thing I do know is that it produces an absolutely stunning picture quality across the entire screen, with excellent clarity. The panel is to all intents and purposes, entirely visible screen, due largely to the fact that the bezels, top, left and right are a mere 7mm, with the bottom one just slightly chunkier.

It’s on this bezel you’ll find the IR for the remote and a microphone. Viewed side on, the unit at 43mm in width, isn’t perhaps the slimmest I’ve seen, but it’s hardly what you might call cumbersome and looks just right to me.

The television comes complete with table stand for those not wishing to take advantage of the Vesa sockets on the rear of the unit which are positioned 300 mm apart and although I don’t intend at this moment to wall mount this one, for those who are, they 6mm machine screws are already in position at the back.

The stand can be fixed to the unit in two different positions, with the slate at the front and the stand at the back, or with the stand at the front. It’s good to have the choice and although I’ve fixed the stand to the rear of the telly, fixing it with the stand out front would allow you to have the unit pretty much flush with a wall or whatever.

The choice is yours. The stand itself has quite a weight to it and secures the telly comfortably once all fixings are in place with very little movement once in its final position. As I mentioned earlier, the cowlings, or rather panels that come with the telly are designed to clip onto the back of the unit so as to neatly cover the input sockets and connection wires leading from or to them and serve the purpose, once all are in place, to flush off the rear of the television neatly.

Also, even if the sockets or inputs are not being used, the panels will help in dust protection for these ports. The Bravia CAM that is included in the pack has a connection port at the top centre of your Sony which, once located properly will snap magnetically into position.

I believe Sony’s intentions for the cam go way beyond the video chat functionality that is its present capability and to add such features as Ambient Optimisation Pro. AOP would apparently, be able to adjust picture and sound settings based on your location within the room you are viewing in, although I’m not quite sure if I’d personally be happy about the tv constantly changing my settings.

Other possible advances being suggested for the camera are Gesture control, Proximity alert, possibly to prevent children sitting too close to the screen and an auto power saving function. At the moment though it appears web chat is its prime function initially via Google Duo.

As I mentioned earlier there are two remote controls which ship with your smart television and although I was initially confused by this, I have been reliably informed by a friend of mine, who is far more techie than I, that this is the norm now.

The aluminium fronted, smaller, more chic looking remote control, covers most of the major functions/Apps with hot-keys for Bravia Core streaming service, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Google assistant/Microphone, and of course the usual volume and channel up/down.

The other remote is a more general control with a number pad but it does share some common controls of its way nicer brother. I’ve only used it fleetingly as my preference is for the slimmer more ergonomic remote.

There will undoubtedly be many more technically driven reviews of this terrific smart television in magazines and on the net and this review is only my personal interaction and experience with the XR-55A95K so far and to that end, I hope this review has been of some use to you.

I found this to be an outstanding piece of equipment from both a visual and sonic perspective and although I’ve a lot of tweaking still to do to achieve my idea of entertainment heaven it’ll be a pleasure doing it with the Sony.

Wow, what can I say, it definitely earns the ‘Master’ title and although not a huge leap in regards to OLED technology, there’s an important key leap for a better overall visual experience, namely the brightness.

It’s very much on par with LED with specular highlights that now punch through and with the advantage of pure black of OLED, we’re onto a new era of visual experience technology. An increase in colour volume can most definitely be seen with surprisingly positive results in older TV shows all without it looking oversaturated, being down to Sony’s amazing processing algorithms and decades of experience in TV/Film production and broadcasting; Sony being the only electronics company to be involved on both sides.

Of course HDR and Dolby Vision experience has certainly gone up a few levels and after two weeks of daily use, the TV should now be broken in and looks almost spectacular, making me revisit my modern SDR/HDR and older movie collection.

In regards to sound, I think it’s a first for Sony in recent models, employing surface acoustics and surprised at the results. Unlike me previous TV, which sounds good too, for dialogue the directness is superb and no longer emanating from below but at ear level, especially if you’re like me and don’t just follow trends to hang TV’s 6 foot high but rather at the “correct” height for the true experience.

The inclusion of bass drivers, though not earth shattering, do actually had some depth even to the timbre of dialogue but also be heard even in some movies, making every day listening a better experience.

The surround processing/effects are not so pronounced but stereo separation does sound really good. For the ultimate movie pleasure, you’d still be better with a dedicated surround receiver but won’t require it as much for general viewing, as I would previously.

Getting to the design, in my opinion Sony’s design house are masters in what appeals to the senses, who strike a chord and balance for many of the public but with enough edge to make them standout and appeal to the eye, unlike let’s say Bang and Olufsen, which would appeal to less but are of course also masters of design for some.

I have been a fan of Sony design ever since my first cassette Walkman, going onto Discman, MD, Aibo and many other what I call art technology in electronics from Sony, having owned many from the brand too This monolith style TV is no exception and is sublime, especially having the stand on the rear, a minimalistic clean design which is my penchant.

The stand by the way is very heavy, seems the whole weight of the TV and physics will tell you, it makes sense, as the TV is very very unlikely to topple. As the TV uses Google operating system, it’s more fluid than the previous iteration, with a snappy feel moving from options and settings, exactly how it should be.

There’s plenty to explore, adjust and tweak also with the usual Google Android play market accessible to add more interaction. Ok, to the not so great. No technology is perfect and neither is this TV.

I’m somewhat disappointed in the true accuracy of colour and although it very near it’s not. This TV commands a high price and for that I expect around 99% correct coming out the assembly line. Mine has a slight green tint and can easily be seen, especially in green foliage and whites.

Now granted, my profession as a photographer will see such details quickly as I’m use to using calibrated monitors from Eizo, but for the cost of a TV which I’d feel is targeted towards true movie connoisseurs too, it should be better.

My preference would be to include the measuring tools and license, as I know how colour/light shifts over time; one would expect it, especially to command such a premium. I guess I will now need to buy a license and tool to remove the green tint and to attain the true accuracy.

Also one slight niggle with the remote. It’s a perfect size, better than my previous premium Sony remote of the XH9505, feels nicely balanced in the hand and eliminates the clutter BUTI don’t understand the logic to remove the Forward/Rewind buttons, they are very much used in my use cases on apps such as Youtube and similar; does not make sense.

Also, I still had wished they included smart buttons, allowing you to assign either apps or settings to a few buttons; we don’t always have the need for Netflix/Prime/Disney. So, overall, it’s obvious I adore this TV, the best I’ve ever owned and more than the majority of people won’t be disappointed owning it but I do wish Sony allowed all owners experience near perfection in the colour accuracy, though they’ll still have the best experience compared to the competition.

My personal rating 4. 5 stars.

THE GOOD: My first 55″ tv ever and the first Sony in 25 years! First, the picture (4K) is superb and worth the cost. It walks all over ANY 1080 image! Plenty of adjustments you can make )some required reading to see exactly what they do).

Another positive is the weight at appx 50-55 pounds. Not bad because it is a big TV and should have some heft. Finally, sound is surprisingly GOOD for flat screen TV speakers. These speakers can get loud while staying quite clear, but this is no hard hitting subwoofer! As it sits, I had an easy time adjusting settings for loud/clear audio for NASCAR races and Indycar races.

I wish this Sony had 4 corner woofers for tight bass accompanying the good high and mid range sound it already has. The Neutral: I’m not happy, nor mad about the constant gagging to “setup your Google Tv channels now.

Well I use a ROKU with about 6 pay-for streaming channels and none are Google TV that the Sony software pushes so hard. It wasn’t very difficult to setup my ROKU, yet it wasn’t CLEARLY STATED / recommended for the best HDMI cable needed for true top of the line 4K viewing, great sound.

Sony should offer a TOP version HDMI cable for a great HDMI experience. PRICE: Obviously not cheap or free, but under $1000 with taxes and shipping. $865 shipped by FedEx 2-day delivery was fine with me.

The BAD: I feel Sony could have given a stronger warranty for a new, higher end set with a load of tips and tricks. I think a solid 6- month FULL COVERAGE warranty of items with shipping, handling, wear and tear, AND a comparable to even 1 step-up better model TV set to take its place in the event something goes afoul.

Finally back to speakers: these are great but with some Sony engineering magic, add a true bass speaker in the lower left and lower right front fascia to broadcast out hard hitting, tight, snappy BASS! Not a subwoofer; they would need too much room.

2 or even 4 square woofers would add next level sound! David.

Great DVD funny family fun. This DVD is one of the best Christmas videos I ever watched. I would recommend this video, but maybe to much for children under seven years of age. I would recommend that parents watch before showing their children, maybe a few things you might fast forward.

I and my family enjoyed it every Christmas since it came out.

being jewish, and since my husband and i had never seen this movie before, i decided to get it for him for hanukkah this past year. we watched it together the 2nd night, and while they do mention hanukkah in it many times, it really has nothing to do with hanukkah, nor explains the holiday at all.

however, it was a cute (yet corny) story about a man who lears how to be a functioning part of society again with the help of his friends. sweet story. kids will love it. and ya gotta love the hanukkah song at the end.

you love hilarious movies, you will lmao thru-out this one. it’s a laugh a minute film. ben stiller plays a security watch man to a natural history museum in which a magical tablet brings all the exhibits to life.

the tablet however is losing it’s power & stiller needs his friends help to save it.

Night At The Museum, a fun action-adventure family film starring Ben Stiller, kicks off a great ‘trilogy’ of films featuring a museum that comes to life every night (thanks to a magic Egyptian artifact).

I don’t want to give away too much of the plot, but this movie is escapist fun at its purest. Stiller is excellent (as usual) as the hapless protagonist. The special effects are a little dated (by today’s standards), but still hold up reasonably well.

SOMETIMES I RATE A MOVIE AS ANTI “HO-HUM” THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. YOU HATE TO SEE A BROKEN FAMILY WHICH IS THE PLAGUE OF OUR “MODERN TIMES” BUT THE MAIN CHARACTERS PLAY AROUND THE BROKEN FAMILY SITUATION.

PERSONALLY IT ANGERS ME TO SEE SELFISH PEOPLE BREAK UP A FAMILY BUT IT HAPPENS MORE THAN HALF THE TIME. THIS MOVIE IN GENERAL HAS A LOT OF HUMAN NATURE BUILT INTO IT AND A FEW THINGS THAT ARE DISARTICULATED BUT IT IS NOT A FAMILY MOVIE IF MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD OF HOW THINGS REALLY WORK.

NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 14. THE MOVIE IS UNPREDICTABLE BUT HAS THE USUAL HAPPY ENDING EXPECTED IN A FAMILY MOVIE. IT PRESENTS IDEAS THAT ARE INCREDIBLY ACCEPTED BY THE CHARACTERS THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE EVEN IF IT YOU SAW IT YOURSELF.

NO FLYING SAUCERS OR LITTLE GREEN OR GRAY MEN BUT YOU KNOW EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU SAW ONE YOU WOULD NOT TELL ANYBODY ABOUT IT AS YOU KNOW HOW THIS IDEA WOULD PLAY BACK ON YOU.

If your like me than you were surprised to see the “Night at the Museum” franchise return this past year after a little while away from release of the second film, it would have seemed maybe there would be a third picture, but alas it came in due time.

By now there’s a formula to these movies and this one is much the same, its debatable if this third and perhaps final film in the franchise is better than the first but I think its fairly easily better than the second.

Ben Stiller does his Ben Stiller thing, at times almost coasting through the 90 minutes runtime and the supporting cast is serviceable as well. Rebel Wilson particularly seems to be giving it her all to provide a comedic performance.

Its a little sad that this one will go down as Robin Williams final film but its not because he doesn’t give a good showing its because he’s unfortunately trapped in the Teddy Roosevelt character box.

Obviously these Museum movies are more geared to the younger crowd but there are moments in Secret of the Tomb that will possibly give the older viewer a chuckle.

As is often true with sequels and a series, this wasn’t up to the standards set by the first movie of the three. It was imperfect, but still very good. Part of the problem I had with it was the English museum guard, who I’ve always found as funny as a broken leg.

Her performance here enhanced that viewpoint. There were other problems, such as overdoing some of the already debatable attempts at humor. The idiotic, romantic caveman being an excellent example. The problems I had with the movie, however, were not enough to keep it from being highly enjoyable.

Not memorable, but fun.

This third installment of the Night At The Museum movies is a wonderful one. There is a history lesson as well as fun because the characters get to help find out why they come to life plus the museum curator comes out a winner at the end of this movie.

Ben Stiller once again gives a great performance and his character receives a pleasant surprise from the Capuchin monkey. Dancing, singing and more. This is a great movie for kids of all ages.

One of the most influential and gripping series ever made for TV. The true beauty of this show is that is timeless and does not feel dated at all. Add this to your Bluray collection and you will never be sorry.

The series is a must for fans of the show the picture is clear and bright allowing viewers the opportunity to see more on screen than before. The dvds are like vhs compared to this. Worth the price.

Thanks again Rob! 31 was another Rob Zombie gem. I was not expecting this movie to be very good and wow it certainly shocked me. It was great. I like all the different head characters sick, psycho, skitzo, Doom and others.

The name 31 refers to the game That kidnapped victims are forced to play. It’s definitely a blood splattered affair. I definitely recommend for Rob Zombie fans and horror fanatics alike.

I’m a big R. Z. fan, and 31 was okay, it wasn’t anything like his previous movies; House of 1000 Corpses, or Devil’s Rejects, which if you are a horror fanatic, I definitely recommend both of those movies.

Rob just announced or is about to announce a sequel to Devil’s Rejects, so be sure to look for that movie as well. The best part was, Best Buy had all the previous titles available. It’s shocktober time at Best Buy.

Horror movie. Bought on deal of day. Some movies not available on streaming. So inexpensive worth buying.

Last Night in Soho may not be Wright’s best (The Cornetto Trilogy, Hot Fuzz in particular, still hold that honor). Nevertheless, it is a curious work in his filmography. It is his most mature one to date, where he explores the pitfalls of romanticizing “the good old days.

” His creative storytelling is still here (even if his movies’ signature editing/cutting style is largely gone). There are wonderous camera tricks throughout the film. The acting is stellar, and it is a joy to see Diana Rigg on the screen in her last role.

The soundtrack is glorious (as the characters remark, “the music was better” in the ’60s, of which Wright takes full advantage). The dialogue is not as cleverly-written as it is in Wright’s collaborations with Simon Pegg, and exposition is sometimes handled with little to no discretion.

Nevertheless, the film is still recommended, and certainly a no-brainer for any Wright fan. The Bluray edition features a decent amount of extras, per the director’s standard, which are a joy to explore.

I am a big fan of director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End), so I was really excited to see his new film. Although, I wasn’t blown over by the trailer when I first saw it a couple of years ago (the film had numerous delays due to COVID lockdowns), I figured I give it a shot anyway.

I must say I was plesantly surprised. It reminded me of a Hitchcock film (with a little Dario Argento in the mix). I really wasn’t prepared for the ending (I was completely floored)! Slow at times, but stick with it and it might surprise you.

The blu-ray/DVD special features are really interesting too. Great soundtrack too that boomers (like myself) will really enjoy!.

The Blu-ray is stunning, both audio and video! Colors are deep and vibrant. Surround sound is crisp, clear and used to good dramatic effect. Bass is strong. The soundtrack uses many well known 60’s British Invasion band but they’re playing for the most part fairly obscure tunes.

All very enjoyable. In fact after seeing the movie I tracked down the soundtrack on vinyl. Fantastic film! Highly recommended!.
