20 Best Neck Gaiter With Filter (2023 Updated)

It’s nice to wear all the time and not worry about taking it off, especially in the winter. There is one problem though. It doesn’t do well with us guys that have heavy stuble. The top of the gaiter got all full of fuzzballs and it made it look ugly and worn just after one full day of wearing it.

This is a top quality gaiter. The material is very soft, stretchy and durable. The cooling popping action works, in return cools me off significantly on those hot southern summer days. It’s very versatile and it comes with a card enclosed so you can see all the ways of wearing and utilization.

One drawback I can say is the edges are pretty strict, but that’s one of the cons that comes with the high durability feeling and I’m sure it’s meant for long standing use. As you wear it more, I’m sure it will “break in” for added comfort.

My boys love this gaiter. They said the pattern is “very cool. ” One of the features they liked was card that showed different ways to wear the gaiter. It has definitely come in handy when needing to wear a face mask during covid, but one of my sons uses it to hold back his hair as a head band while playing sports.

Holds up well in the washer too.

Summer’s in Texas are brutal. High humidity and soaring temps. We are still wearing mask. But they’re very uncomftorble My husband works outside. This has came to be a lifesaver for us. It looks great.

And offers a cooling. While covering up your mouth and nose.

Works exactly as advertised and to me thats always the most important thing. Product is made in China which I personally am doing my best to stop funding companies that have anything to do with China, which thisbis always the 2nd most important issue.

I needed something I coach soccer in while still appeasing to the COVID 19 pandemic freaks. This is purely for placebo effect and works perfectly. It keeps me from dripping in sweat out in the heat and I can breathe so good without fogging up my glasses.

This thing is really comfortable. I do not agree with all the reviews about the elastic edge being uncomfortable. It’s a SUPER simple work work around. Just fold the edge to get the incredibly slick part of facemask under the elastic amd you WONT even notice it.

Gently stretch it out over time a few uses and it will fit perfectly. The nice thing is it actually works to shut up all the freaks who only listen to CNN as thier source of news. The only pandemic here is the one created by propaganda mainstream news centers.

This is not a pandemic and its insulting to call it one. I’m just happy there’s companys like this that make a product for the majority of us who actually can see whats going on. Now if Mission could do the American thing and make their product ANYWHERE but China they will be a 5star company in my book.

To say that I’m impressed with this gaiter is an understatement. I have trouble wearing a face mask when I’m out in public but I always wear them anyway. It’s hard for me to breathe anyway since I’m 35 weeks pregnant.

After using this gaiter I will not be using anything else! I did not sweat at all when wearing this one while I was grocery shopping! I was also able to breathe and the draw string helped the gaiter fit my face so that it does not slide down! Finding a mask to fit good is important because I do not want to be touching my face to adjust a mask while out in public!!! I will purchase more of these to wear and I have already recommended them to everyone I’ve came into contact with!!!.

The adjustable gaiter works on all body types. The gaiter is well made and breathable. You can wear it all year round that is made to adjust to your face. The gaiter is easy to clean and is washer safe which makes it reusable.

It dries fast and does not stretch out of form. It is comfortable and blocks out all the dust and wind which keeps you safe. The fabric feels great and does not irate. I love this and recommend it.

I have been wearing this gaiter on and off for about 2 weeks now. It is very comfortable and I can wear it all day at work and it does not bother me at all. I have also found it is perfect for working out.

There is an adjustable cord that you can pull and tighten or loosen. This ensures that the fit is perfect. There is no slip and it stays in place easily. If you are active this gaiter is a must have.

I initially chose this mask to wear when mowing the lawn, but I will also use it as a face mask during the COVID-19 epidemic. Without a mask, seasonal allergies can make me sick for a couple days each time I mow the lawn.

I have been using a paper face mask while mowing for the last couple years, and it has helped a lot to prevent major allergy symptoms. However, when wearing the mask for 4 hours at a time, the elastic bands rub on my skin and it becomes very uncomfortable.

I just received my WindRiver gaiter, so I don’t yet know for sure how well it will filter allergens. However, I have tried it on, and it is definitely more comfortable than other types of masks I have used.

There are no elastic strings to chafe the skin. In my opinion, it is also a more convenient option than other types of masks, especially if there is a need to put it on and off repeatedly — as may be the case for use during the COVID-19 epidemic, for example, and you wish to remove the face mask when able to maintain social distancing, and put it back on when needed.

In “gaiter mode”, it stays comfortably out the way, around the neck, but ready to easily pull the top portion up for use as a face mask. Also, there is no worry about misplacing it. Other types of masks would typically be completely removed, but the gaiter is right where you left it: around your neck, readily available.

Overall, these qualities make it a better option for me than other masks I have used. Also, I am happy with the quality of the material and the stitching of the seam and edges. After I use the gaiter for mowing, I will update this review with results on how well it filtered the allergens.

UPDATE: My gaiter worked great at filtering the allergens while mowing. No problems breathing after mowing for hours today. My eyes, however, are extremely itchy, so I know there were allergens in the air.

That is my confirmation the mask works.

I run, bike, hike and speed walk. I wear a mask while exercising. I have four different manufacturer’s neck gaiters that I use as masks when exercising. I purchased a Windrider UPF50+ neck gaiter from Amazon for my wife to wear as a mask while biking with me.

I was so impressed by the Windrider neck gaiter that I purchased two for myself. All my neck gaiters are breathable when dry. All get progressively less breathable as they get wet from sweat or rain.

None of them are usable as a mask when saturated because I cannot inhale through the saturated fabric. The Windrider is the most breathable of the group when dry. I take it off and flip the bottom to the top when it is damp and difficult to inhale through.

I carry an extra with me on long runs so I can switch masks when the first is too wet. It fits me fine. Stays in place. It is well made. Looks nice. It is as described in the Amazon advertisement. The only issue might be if you have a very thick neck.

It has the smallest width of my gaiters.

I have a small head. Like really small. I’m an adult and usually wear kids’ hats. Most Buff style gaiters are 9. 8″ wide, which is just way too big for me. This WindRider is smaller than average. It stays on my face without slipping! I used it as a facemask and it actually stayed up.

I was stunned and thrilled. Unfortunately, it’s very muggy where I live and after about five minutes of outdoor wear, my face was a sweaty slime factory; I felt like I was suffocating. I own a lot of gaiters because I use them to keep my hair up but sadly, the lining of this gaiter is so slick I can’t get it to stay on top of my head.

I bought one years ago and loved it since. Now I got one for my girlfriend and she loves it as well. Recommended! Great for travels and sports, keeps your neck protected from the sun, very breathable, and the multiple ways you can wear it makes it very versitile.

Loving its softness, although I didn’t think the color was that soft. But in overall it’s a very good quality of summer product.

I never received these neck gaiter face scarf. I keep looking for the in the mail. I did receive the protective isolation mask anti-fog disposable face shield masks.

I wear this mostly to keep the hatch I’m trying to match out of my nose, and it works great. It’s also a nice outdoor substitution for a mask when hiking on slightly more crowded paths than comfortable while trying to get to your favorite spot.

I am loving my brown trout pattern, I just wish you guys would add a brook trout pattern.

I love this neck and face cover during fishing. Out on the water, under the sun, this cover shielded my face and neck so I did not burn. Comfortable to wear, no itching and it helped with my sweat. Love it.

I have never worn a neck gaiter before, so wasn’t sure how it would go. I wore it the other day, most of the day, and I love it. It was very comfortable, I could breath easier thru it, and I received several nice compliments on the design.

The Face Shield and Neck Gaiter is too hot for summer. I’ve used a wide brim hat for years and it’s so much cooler. The wide brim hat isn’t a cool fashion item, but it will keep the noggin cool. I’m hopeful that the Face Shield and Neck Gaiter will be the ticket for fall and winter weather.

Have not used it. I plan to wear it 6-4-20 as I will be fishing a tournament from 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM. I like the way it feels on my face. Thanks for asking.

Thoroughly enjoyed this face field during my initial uses. Soft material against my skin and it fit great – not too tight at first like some other brands that I have used in the past. Size and length provided shelter from the sun and winds doing its job property.

We have been using these to cover our faces amid the Coronavirus pandemic since they are easy to wash and comfortable to wear. They also protect the ears from wind on chilly days but are breathable enough to act as a sweatband while exercising in warmer environments.

We will be using our Buffs long after the pandemic ends! Note that patterned versions have the print on only the outside. This means that you have to scrunch it rather than fold it when wearing as a headband.

Bought for self and family members when we were advised to use face covers for COVID, saving masks for helpers. These are comfortable and stay up well. Just tuck into tops of ears and pull up toward bridge of nose.

I’m so happy with the Mission youth gaiter cooling gaitor 2 pack. It comes in grey and black. My daughter is 10 almost 11 and it was snug on her at first. The material is breathable and extremely soft.

There’s many ways to wear these, and she likes to style it different often. The typical face masks that we throw away after one use they get fuzzy and pill up irritating her all day at school. This can protect you from wind, dust, sun, and be used as a mask as well.

You can wet this snap it and you can stay cool for hours. I will be purchasing some for the entire family, and recommend them for anyone! I love that these are reusable it saves me money. I’m a happy mom, and my daughter is happy as well.

I bought these a few weeks ago for my son who runs for school. He loves this lightweight these are. You can still breath while you are running and they actually stay on your face. He has talked about wearing them while running this winter when it get colder out.

So far we’ve had mild weather so he hasn’t ran too much with them just yet. Overall we are really impressed with these and they seem like they will hold up well.

Very comfortable material. I had thought it would have some kind of finished edges, ie sewn. Material nice soft very comfortable. I have breathing difficulties and this helps so much. I’m using this in place of other masks for this mandatory mask BS.

This is cheap chinese junk. I wouldn’t bother with these. Unless you are rally in love with the pattern your money will go a lot further with other products. The problem is that these are not hemmed on the ends so, they won’t stay up.

The edges want to roll and you can’t keep them in place. I already have some with hems from another online retailer and they stay put well but I thought I was getting a similar product with a better pattern.

The graphics may be better but the product is not.

These neck gaiters are great for so many things. First off, they are comfortable to wear, even if you have a big beard. They also don’t fog your glasses. I’ve used mine like a bandana while doing yard work and as a face mask while using the edger, weed wacker and chain saw.

Mine has also been used daily while going out in public to run errands due to covid-19. You’ll get plenty of use out of these for sure.

I had seven weeks of radiation treatment on my neck five times per week. Immediately after each treatment I wet this cloth with cool water and put it around my neck and sipped a glass of ice water or ice tea.

I had been told the radiation would most probably interfere with my swallowing and I had a stomach feeding tube inserted just in case. Operating on the theory that the heat from the radiation is mostly what would cause my throat to be too sore to swallow I decided to do what I could to cool my neck and throat as much as I could as soon as I could after each radiation treatment.

I was told not to use ice and could see the sense in that so I used this little wet cloth and sat where air conditioning could cool me off. I never had to use the stomach feeding tube and my swallowing stayed functional.

I don’t know if this approach would work as well for everybody, but it sure worked for me. Each throat and neck cancer has its own issues. I’m just glad it worked for me.

After a 4 day, late June rim to rim hike in the Grand Canyon, I can undoubtedly say this was the best item I had with me. I had never been in desert conditions before, so I was taking every precaution that I could to prevent heat-related illnesses.

Without this Mission scarf, I am not sure that my hike would have resulted in success. Temperatures reached 135, and it was definitely a feat of endurance to “keep your cool”. This Mission scarf caught my sweat before it had a chance to evaporate, so I would snap it while I was hiking for quick refrigerant effects.

When I was at a water source, and I used the scarf after immersion, it was like entering a world of relief. Often times I’d pass people on the trail with cotton towels pinned under caps, and it looked inconvenient in comparison to the cool wrap of my Mission scarf.

I would recommend this product a million times over.

This gaiter is the best I have ever found. I use them for skiing, biking, all kinds of windy dusty conditions where it could be hot or cold, humid or dry. They are soft and breathable in the heat and warm in the cold.

I cannot wear wool or synthetics so the bamboo/cotton is amazing for comfort and functionality without irritating my skin or any part of my head. Great colors too Please keep making these and all your bamboo clothing !!.

Love the fabric, which is as comfortable as my previous hot slippery gaiter was not. Also, for me it’s long enough to double, adding extra protection from inhaling particles. This was worth looking for.

A thing I especially like about a gaiter is how much easier it is to use than masks with ear-loops. I wear glasses and hearing aids and could never get that kind of mask off without pulling something else off.

No such problem with this gaiter: you can pull it down and up easily. It also stays up, not being slippery. I’ve bought two for myself and six for gifts.

Disappointed big time. Yes the fabric is soft and comfy. But yes it creates a big gap between the fabric n my neck so the protective potential is nil. I wear my gaiter as a double shield to hold my protective face mask in place.

These gaiters are very soft and comfortable against your skin. I use them in the winter when I am biking to cover my mouth and cheeks. They stay in place and fit snugly under my helmet. Easy to breathe through and wash well.

I do not put them in the dryer.

I purchased this buff as a combination face mask/neck cooler for use while horseback riding. Unfortunately, a study was released the day after I received this saying that buffs/gaiters are worse than nothing for protecting people from coronavirus.

This product is not intended as a protective face mask, but I was really hoping it could be used that way anyway – at least informally for outdoor activities. Needless to say, I won’t be using it as a face mask at this point.

However, the buff also runs pretty small – I’m a fairly petite woman (5’3″), and I found it a bit tight around my neck. I’ll still use it as a neck cooler, but a larger person might feel a bit constricted wearing this product.

Color is good, cute pattern – hopefully it works as a cooler, but in light of the recent study, no one should be buying this as a substitute for a protective face mask.

I purchased 3 of these to wear as a head covering while I’m in chemotherapy treatment. They are perfect. They are completely comfortable, can be worn under hats or NOT because they are UPF 50. And when we’re back into winter and I have more hair again, I can use them to keep my neck warm.

I am using this product to cover my head during chemotherapy. I ordered 4 of them in different colors and patterns and am so grateful to have them. They are flexible, comfortable and wash up well in the laundry.

We needed a face mask when we went to Atlantis Paradise island, Bahamas. Something that could get wet while we went on the water rides. It just sat around our neck, didn’t have to worry about loosing it.

When it was time to go inside just pull it up over your nose. Worked out good.

It offers great SUV protection, fits well. sometimes use it as a makeshift mask when I Uber. Covid requirement still. I’m also follicly challenged and it offers SUV protection for my head too. Versatile and highly useful.

Really comfortable best material, colorful stays cool blocks alot of sun then you’re regular neck gaiter. Best so far. Looks good feels good.

I bought this a couple years ago and have started using it more actively again as a two part face shield from another company seemed to be letting UV through (my face felt a little burnt after all day use) – to keep this one from sliding down I have to pull it up enough that the back is tucked into my hat.

In hot humid coastal mexico summer weather it is completely soaked with sweat but it keeps the sun out better than sunscreen and doesn’t come off of my face like sunscreen does. I wear it all day walking around towns and on my boat when in the sun.

The fabric is very slippery. If you want to be able to pull it up over your chin, or wear it over your head and forehead, this is not for you. If you’re just planning on wearing around you neck it will be fine.

This neck gaiter makes a wonderful face mask or headband also. Soft and breathable. Launders well. In one of the best color combinations for me.
