20 Best Moisturizer For Oily Skin In Winter (2023 Updated)

I generally hate all the reviews from people who gleefully received free product, because they don’t provide useful information; but in my case I DID receive a sample, and I have bought and used Caudalie products for years, so I think I am qualified to give useful opinions here.

If you have very oily skin like me, this may well be enough moisture for you to start your day. For reference: My skin is so oily that too many serums, creams, sunscreens, and primers layered together will make even the best foundation start to puddle and separate in a matter of minutes, not hours.

I’m really oily. ! So if you are like me, and you want only light gel-lotion type hydration, this Vinopure Mattifying Fluid might work for you. Prior to this, I’ve been using the Caudalie Vinosource line (Intense Moisturizer for Night, and the excellent Sorbet for day).

I don’t need much hydration in general, but I do want some, except thanks to constant mask wearing, my nose and mouth area has become congested and breakout prone, so I have temporarily switched to this Vinopure fluid instead.

I think it’s pretty good overall, for daytime use only. It’s not going to be enough moisture if you have dry flakes around your nostrils, but if you are the type of person (like me) who feels that any serum is basically enough moisture to start your day, then you may like this.

I don’t generally like thick creams for day, so the thin texture of this gel-lotion is fine for my face. I wouldnt say it really stops breakouts, because I still have to wear a mask, and that is going to cause eruptions regardless, but it does seem to control oil enough that it leaves skin less hospitable to bad bacteria and fungi.

So I suppose my skin is less bad that it might be if I stopped using it. #freeproduct.

I was recommended this in-store while browsing for a new moisturizer to try and I honestly wasn’t expecting much. After using it for a few months, my face has never looked better!! It wasn’t until my friends started complimenting me that I fully realized just how much better my skin had gotten.

This moisturizer was the only thing I had changed about my skin-care routine and I don’t use the Vinopure line. A little goes a long way so even though it’s a bit pricier than what I would usually spend on a moisturizer this size, it’s lasted me awhile.

It controls oil a little bit but I wouldn’t rely on this alone. I still get the occasional pimple but in terms of skin texture, acne, and pore-size it’s been such an improvement. If you are looking for a new moisturizer I would highly recommend giving this one a try (:

GlamGlow SuperWaterGel is a nice, clarifying, lightweight gel moisturizer. I have dry skin that needs help with exfoliation, and I like how this moisturizer contains acids that can help with that. The moisturizer has the classic GlamGlow scent, sort of a minty, eucalyptus and licorice fragrance.

It’s a refreshing smell, and thankfully the fragrance is much lighter in this moisturizer than it is in the face masks (I like it in the masks, but it would be too strong to wear all day lol). I do prefer my moisturizer and face products to be fragrance-free, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

The moisturizer is also in nice packaging. I like the sort of minimalist silver and white. As for function, I’m a fan! This will be a good addition to my face routine. I’m not super prone to breakouts, but I do deal with some around my chin and this is helpful for reducing those breakouts without causing too much dryness! It absorbs pretty quickly, which is really nice, and is a great, lightweight daytime moisturizer.

So far, it hasn’t caused any issues with my sensitive, dry skin. I mostly use it in the areas where I breakout or need help with exfoliation, and the rest (my driest and least prone to breakouts) gets a straight hyaluronic moisturizer with no fragrance.

Overall, a pretty nice clarifying moisturizer! Seems like it will be a good option for people with acne who don’t want to dry out their skin. I wish it had no fragrance, but it’s.

This product is truly amazing! Let me start off by saying I have very oily skin and have had it for like ever. Like I live for rice paper and oil soaking paper. But this product really has blown me away.

With everything that I know now compared to back then about my skin and what I should and shouldn’t be putting on my skin I really feel like I found what I have been in search of. This product along with controlling the amount of oil I have on my face also hydrates my skin.

Plus I am always looking for products with salicylic acid since I have had acne trouble for a long time. This product even has mom’s seal of approval. I had my mom look at my face the night before I started using the product and next day after using the product she and I saw the difference.

Every morning I wake up looking shiny like if someone just painted my face with gloss and yes I use moisturizer in the morning and night because yes skin still needs hydration. But man this baby did the trick.

Yes I still had oil on my face because again let’s remember oil is good we just want to control it so please don’t assume this will suck the oil straight up from your face. But the amount of it was just wow.

Even on my nose and forehead!!!! My nose and forehead have the most oil but the amount on them after the first day using it was far less than usual. I saw a huge difference and I still do with every day I use it.

Now that I no longer use face makeup since I’m wearing my mask all day at work I feel so much more confident about my skin. Now yes I still have an oily face and that’s ok. I know it will be good for my face in the long run but if you are looking for a product to help you CONTROL the oil and still HYDRATE your skin and also some bonuses to help your acne prone skin then this is the product for you!.

I’ve been using this product for about 10 days now (am & pm) and I’ve actually seen a positive difference in my skin. My friends even mentioned my skin is looking so much better – both with my acne inflammation going down and with my overall complexion.

This is very light weight (‘watergel’ is definitely the correct term for this). I suffer from hormonal acne and usually I will use an AHA with my moisturizer. This product has both AHAs, BHAs and hyaluronic acid so it’s hits all those boxes.

For about 10 days of use, I feel like I barely used any product (see photo) so a little does go a long way. It’s not a miracle worker for my acne, as my acne didn’t just disappear, but it’s definitely helped with my complexion and inflammation.

My skin feels hydrated throughout the day and when I use it at night, my skin isn’t all greasy in the morning (again, this is very light weight!). I did receive this complimentary to try but I’ll be repurchasing once this is gone.

I also love it for traveling since I don’t need to pack multiple products (since it has the AHAs too) and with the packaging, I don’t have to worry about anything leaking out! Overall, I highly recommend!.

It took me a week or two to really start enjoying the moisturizer, as my skin was adjusting. My skin type is normal and the moisturizer isn’t too lightweight for me at night, as long as I use enough.

In the morning, it pairs perfectly with my skin ceuticals spf on top and that’s a good amount of moisture for me throughout the day. I will say, that if you experience any dryness in your skin, this moisturizer will likely be too lightweight, as it sinks in really well into the skin after applying.

My skin is also prone to sweating after applying a moisturizer if the moisturizer is too light or heavy, and I don’t experience that at all with this product. I do think that it has made a positive difference in my pores since starting the product.

I have normal to oily skin that is very sensitive and prone to breakouts. This is a very gentle product and great for acne prone skin. It absorbs quickly into the skin but can feel slightly heavy if you overdo it.

It still adds some shine to my face when I first apply it, but that can be fixed with some powder. I only use it in the morning, as I prefer a much thicker and longer lasting moisturizer at night. It’s a good moisturizer for a good price, but it just doesn’t excite me.

Maybe that’s because there’s not a ton of skincare in this product. I was using Cerave Daily Lotion before this and, though it left me more oily, I felt like it was doing more for my skin. It’s not a bad moisturizer at all, but I’m unsure if I would repurchase.

I’m not sure if the lotion is discontinued but I bought this because the salon only had this in October 2021. It is now Christmas week 2021 and my face has been breaking out! I also use the cleanser which has been helpful but has not kept my breakouts away.

Prior to this change, even through pregnancy I was clear. this product is a pretty generic. It is not a cohesive image clear cell product for what the line offered previously. I started using another line that my esthetician recommended when she saw the ingredients and she informed me the moisturizer will not keep my breakouts away.

Within a week of having some actual acne killing ingredients, I am on the mend towards clear skin.

Got a “gift” from Image with my order. A vital c spray with a glue like sticky texture. And smelling like rotten oranges. That’s “free gift” according to Image. That’s how they treat their customers.

Other things in my package (vital c cream, rye Gel and mask) were fine but… would you feel comfortable using skincare from a company that sends out rotten gifts? This one rotten gift speaks volumes about the way you treat your customers and your brand.

After so many complaints in 2008, OLAY finally brought back the only true good version of Olay SPF 15 WITH Zinc Oxide for Sensitive skin. I kept stocking up for years, dreading the moment OLAY would forget the lesson of 2008 and again try to modify the tried and true formula for sensitive skin.

Here is the lesson from history: In 2008 Olay decided to change the formula of this same skin sensitive lotion and replace it with a higher SPF lotion that contained ingredients that super irritated those of us with sensitive skin.

In the process of doing this, Olay abandoned support for us and it was such a disaster for us that our trusted formula was replaced, leaving us with no good option. I remember thousands of people wrote to Olay to bring back this same true and trusted formula.

It took a few months but Olay did indeed bring this formula back to the relief of so many who depended on it, like me. I am just writing this to remind everyone and Olay how much we rely on this exact formulation of lotion and just how miserable so many were back then when it was discontinued for a few months.

Now in 2023, I turn around and find OLAY has made the SAME MISTAKE as 2008, trying to push harsh products on us when all we want and need is the original sensitive formula, the one with Zinc Oxide. I have searched around before all is lost to try and stock up on 10 years supply even though most will be expired, at least I will not be totally out of a formula that DOES NOT BREAK OUT MY SKIN.

BEGGING OF YOU TO PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL SENSITIVE FORMULA.

I absolutely love this product! This is my favorite moisturizing company, I use this cream and the original Pink cream that comes in the jar. They are both extremely pleasant and smell and in how it feels on the skin.

I like to use this one especially if I’m going out and about. But to be completely honest I am absolutely in love with the Olay original Pink cream that has the light floral scent. It has been around since the 1950s and it’s been around for a reason.

I can’t seem to find that product on here to review but 1000% recommend. Both of these are very inexpensive, which is more than I can say for all the new varieties that they’re coming out with but both of these have been around for a long time which means that they still are known to work and you don’t have to spend as much money to get the same result in my opinion.

I would totally recommend this to anybody, I have very sensitive skin and I break out very easily. Neither this nor the original Pink cream has made me break out and it’s just very refreshing on the face and the neck.

Again I would totally recommend this to anybody.

My hunt for the perfect sunscreen for my combo/mature skin started many years ago. I tried this on a whim and it is my go to. I’ve been through probably 10+ bottles of it. For me, sunscreen tends to make my face oily and my makeup doesn’t wear well over it.

Sometimes sunscreen doesn’t mix well with my other skin care products. This doesn’t do any of those things. It is a moisturizer and sunscreen combined and for whatever reason it works for me! It plays well with my other products and my makeup wears nicely over it.

It is affordable and easily accessible. I think at this point I’ve tried every sunscreen on the market both high end and drugstore and I always go back to this. I wish I didn’t fall for the hype of every new sunscreen because they never work as well as this one and they never beat the price.

So if sunscreen doesn’t work for you, give this one a try.

I tried the SuperBloom products for a week, morning and night. I absolutely love the look of the products, which may not matter to some but it makes me want to use them! My nightly routine was Daily Dew Cleansing Oil, rinse off in shower, then apply Bounce Bak Bakuchiol Serum, Reviving Skin Soak Mist, and lastly the Illuminating Gel Moisturizer.

My morning routine was the same except I would rinse off the oil with a wet washcloth and I left out the Bounce Bak, per the instructions of only applying at night. The products feel great on. The oil isn’t too oily.

The smell is neutral to me – it does have a scent but it isn’t really good or bad. I have “normal” skin, not dry or oily, with some acne around my jawline and redness in my cheeks. I can’t say that I notice a big difference in the appearance of my skin after one week with the products.

I will continue my routine until the products are gone, but I don’t think I will buy the oil in the future. (Customer received this complimentary product in exchange for their unbiased opinion. ).

I was a little perplexed by this hydrating mist. I originally used it as a toner after cleansing my skin but it didn’t provide enough moisturizing benefits for my skin to be used in that way. I then used it as a facial mist in the middle of the day.

While that was refreshing, I wouldn’t exactly call it hydrating. I love the smell of this mist – a bit like rose water but not overwhelming. It feels very pleasant on the skin and was not at all irritating to my sometimes sensitive skin.

However, I didn’t see any hydrating or moisturizing benefits from it at all. I think this could be a great mist for folks who have combination or oily skin who want something lightly refreshing but don’t need a more concentrated hydrator.

But for those with dry or dehydrated skin, in my experience, it just isn’t hydrating enough to be useful. It might, however, be really nice in the summer as a facial refresh! (Customer received this complimentary product in exchange for their unbiased opinion.

So I heard about Lexli through a podcast, and I decided to give it a try. I really want to love it, but it’s so thick it feels like I’m rubbing peanut butter on my face. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get it evenly distributed on the skin and I just don’t like that.

I haven’t been using it long enough to give a good review of how the product actually works, but the ingredients aren’t bad so I’m hopeful. I will continue using and plan to try other Lexli products in the future.

For my skin this moisturizer is not too heavy nor too light. I use it twice a day and after cleansing with aloe cleanser. I notice less sebum buildup. Realizing there is no broad spectrum SPF in it is worth noting but not a problem as several minutes after moisturizing I apply a 30-50 spf.

I personally was not able to use day moisturizer spf 15 or 30 as it did not agree with my skin. This has solved that problem! I highly recommend this product!.

I’ve been a long-time fan of Liz Earle products but feel I must post about the new Skin Repair formulation. I am a man with quite sensitive reactive skin. One of the superb things about the original range was that any scent was subtle enough to be suitable for any gender to use comfortably.

From an inclusivity perspective I liked that most of the products transcended male and female. However, this is no longer the case. I was disappointed when I purchased the current formulation. The change in texture is notable – a whiter tone, more gluey or slimy compared to the previous cream, more synthetic in appearance and wow it’s heavily scented.

It feels like it leaves a greasier finish on my skin once applied, but the scent is so heavily floral and clawing that it’s off-putting. I want to keep this review objective, but if this cream had been presented to me in an unmarked container I would A: not recognise it as a Liz Earle product (this is what I find so shocking) and B: would say that it felt and smelt like a cheap cream.

I feel like I’ve made a bad purchasing choice. Something that was never the case previously.

I used the light moisturiser during the summer and as my skin has a tendency to be tight in the wintertime I decided to use this during the day. I am delighted with it. It isn’t too heavy but it is working very well at keeping my skin feeling good.

I will continue to use this during the colder weather but I may return to the light cream during the warmer months. Another fantastic product, thank you.

I bought my initial LE kit with a heavier moisturiser and fell in love with the range instantly but wanted to try this lighter cream as the heavy one was a bit much for me everyday. This cream has improved my skin even more than my first LE kit.

So light, a little goes a long way and my skin feels amazing. I have normal/oily skin and get breakouts but way less since I’ve been using LE and even fewer now I’ve switched to this cream.
