Best Lowlights For Blonde Hair (2024 Updated)

Im a messy person, this dust free product is perfect for me. Helps prevent powder going everywhere. I like how it smells too. Smells like a conditioner and thats how my hair feels when I wash it off.

The lightener is able to lift up my thick brownish black Latina hair to a level 9/10. Ive tried all kinds of lighteners and this is the best one so far. The consistency is easy to control, no strict ratio so I eyeball it.

My hair feels less damaged with this brand line.

Color and brand is my go-to hair color. I have been getting my hair colored using this brand for over 10 years and I love it. It takes to my hair and allows me to lighten with each color session not to mention the natural sunlight also aids in lightening my locs.

My hair shines and feels amazing. I get compliments wherever I go and whenever I post a picture on social media. I won’t use any other hair color brand and my stylist knows it. If the soft brown shade isn’t available I will pick the next closest shade or go for their honey blonde which on dark hair is absolutely beautiful, a perfect color for lightening for the summer months.

My hair takes about two boxes/tubes and that does the job my stylist is able to saturate each and every strand for even color throughout and it works well with my natural highlights. I highly recommend this product.

This box is great to dye your hair red if you have dark hair. It comes with two different tubes. Bigger one comes out like a cream and its white ish, then the smaller tube is the actual “dye” or ink lol.

It’s labeled as “copper intensifier” or something like that. I was so indecisive to use it but it’s literally needed, because the bigger dye is just white. So you mix them together to get the red. I only bought one because I mixed it with two magentas to get my ideal red lol.

I was searching online for awhile of good at home hair color options-I’ve used plenty of boxes previously but I wanted a different color than what I’ve usually used. About a year ago I had my hair bleached at a salon and it was a terrible final color and my hair was highly damaged.

I came across this Hicolor for dark hair only and watch so many YouTube reviews. I am so pleased with the results-I mixed magenta and red to obtain the color that I ended with. I did have to apply twice to achieve to full color I wanted but that’s my fault since I didn’t let this process enough the first day with fear of my roots ending too bright-the next day I focused on my roots and I am enjoying the color.

It does require at most a 30 vol developer. If you’re looking to switch up your color at home without being disappointed, and shelling out a bunch of cash I certainly recommend this product!.

I use this with the corresponding developer in 20 volume. It lifts my natural level 5 hair to a nice yellow in around 30 mintues. It works very fast. The bond enforcing does help keep your breakage to a minumum.

I can\’t say I dont experience any breakage, since it is bleach, but I do think it helps. I find it works best when after I have coated my roots or hair to spray it with a little water and cover it with a cap.

It keeps it from drying out and allows the natural heat from head to help process it faster.

У последнего средства, конечно, запах весьма специфический, но волосы реально шелковые! Теперь буду заказывать только эту краску! (перепробовала уже десятки вариантов).

5-49 Pastel Nude Результат будет зависеть от вашей базы и окислителя. Я взяла этот оттенок для тонировки и естественно взяла самый низкий %оксиданта, результатом очень довольна, получился тёплый нюдовый перламутровый блонд.

Время выдержки 30 минут, потом эмульгация и смывка. В краску рекомендуют добавлять пару капель любого косметического масла, потому что краска немного сушит волосы. Мне хватило одного тюбика для тонировки волос длинной до пояса.

Расход зависит от волос, насколько они густые, пористые и тд. У меня волосы средней густоты.

IšverstiShow in original languageПокупала оттенок 5-113, добавляла в него синий микстон (у меня есть теплый рыжеватый оттенок в волосах). Цель была – добиться холодного темно-русого. С задачей краска справилась, я в восторге от результата.

Но счастье было недолгим, с седых волосков краска слетела после 4го мытья. но общий оттенок не пропал, и на том спасибо. Даже несмотря на то, что на седине держится плохо (что вполне ожидаемо – в седом волосе нет пигмента, с которым работает перманентный краситель) все равно планирую покупать именно эту краску, так как волосы мягкие и блестящие после нее.

А еще она очень приятно пахнет, даже не смотря на явно аммиачный окислитель. В общем, я довольна. Надеюсь, ее не сняли с производства.

It doesn’t fade, it doesn’t look patchy and it’s a brilliant price; what’s more to love?! For my length hair, at a 1:1 ratio with developer, I use the whole tube and when my hair gets longer I use about a tube a half.

By the end of 6-8 weeks, the only telltale sign that I need to dye my hair again is my roots. It’s a gorgeous colour and on my hair (because of numerous colours before), in some natural lights it looks a gorgeous red colour, in darker lights it looks like a deep, dark (purple) colour and in other lights it can look more violet-y.

Would definitely recommend this hair dye to anyone; it gives a professional look, at a much, much cheaper price! (I buy mine from Amazon or Sally’s in the UK).

IšverstiShow in original languageIch vertrage Haarfarben grundsätzlich nicht gut, weil ich Allergikerin bin. Auf einige habe ich in der Vergangenheit mit Ausschlag etc. reagiert. Auch wenn in Wella-Haarfarben auch Chemie drin steckt, vertrag ich die sehr gut – noch besser, seit sie kein pPD und pTD mehr enthält! Da für mich reine Pflanzenhaarfarben nicht in Frage kommen, weil meine blonden Haare damit nicht wirklich schwarz werden, bin ich also echt froh, dass es die gibt.

Kürzlich habe ich nun meine Haare auch zum ersten Mal selber gefärbt (und es klappte besser, als erwartet), daher bin ich froh, kann man die (zu einem guten Preis) online kaufen und muss deswegen nicht jedes Mal zu Friseur.

Werde meine Haare ab jetzt nur noch selber färben. :).

IšverstiShow in original languageI used this and mixed it with 12/96 and the recommended Wella developer. It gave my already bleached hair a really nice white / pearl / silver tone. It’s really beautiful.

It also helps treat your hair as its developing so there’s minimal damage from the developer. My only negative is that it doesn’t last very long on my hair. With one wash it starts to fade (I use a blue shampoo to help maintain colour) hopefully if I continue to use this mix it will start to hold.

Or I may change shades and Tey something new. I love that you can mix the toners and create a colour that’s unique to you 💗.

I’m naturally dirty blonde but regularly dye my hair dark brown. I alternate between dying just my roots and dying my whole head of hair since the whole thing doesn’t need dying that often but it looks terrible when my blonde roots start coming through.

I usually use one of the other Wella colour touch shades (think it’s 4/71) but decided to buy this one since it was on sale and is also a brown, but it came out looking a reddish brown which just wasn’t very flattering on my roots – in some lighting it just looks brunette but in other lighting you can really see the red.

On the box it says “medium intense brunette brown” so there was no indication of it having strong red undertones but it could have been my mistake – maybe it’s on a colour chart somewhere that I didn’t look at.

Overall though, I really like the Wella Color Touch dyes, I’ve been using them regularly for about a year and a half – they never leave my hair feeling dry and they’re easy to mix and apply.

I actually purchased the wrong color online while I was distracted, I took it to a store who were happy t exchange it for the right color. I have used this product for around 5 years now and am super happy with it.

I find the application easy and the color simply washes out over time. I use a combination of 2 colors and get 3 applications a year which is fine for my level of greying. Would totally recommend!.

This dye is semi-permanent or ‘quasi’ depending on what volume emulsion is used with it. For damaged hair the lowest volume emulsion, 1. 9%, is best – this will only deposit the colour and not lighten the hair at all.

Digital scales help to make sure the ratio of 1 part dye to 2 parts emulsion is achieved correctly. This mixes up to a lovely creamy texture which goes on to the hair really easily and doesn’t drip. It has covered my greys well but subtly and given the hair a very natural-looking colour with a few golden tones among the ash.

When I washed the product off I was surprised how nice the hair felt, and although I conditioned after using, I credit this product with leaving a nice shiny finish on the hair. The product smells lovely with no ammonia tang and I feel quite safe having it on my scalp and hairline.

*I did the allergy test 48 hours prior to using the product and would never use a hair colour without doing this*. Altogether a brilliant product. Comes up a tad darker than one might expect but may lighten after shampooing.

A great product, absolutely chuffed to bits with it. Will definitely purchase again.

IšverstiShow in original languageWas hoping the 6/16 would just colour my highlights (bleached dark brunette hair that was ruined by stylist and went orange!) but seems to have given even my super dark brown hair a bit of a tint! Luckily it’s a nice colour, but be aware.

It’s probably a bit darker than the “Dark. Blonde” would suggest, which was perfect in my case. Has managed to cover most of the orange hair, although there are still some straggler strands that are probably more due to my dyeing technique/the bleaching process itself (she didn’t even use foils to bleach!).

Easy to use and looks great!.

My hair dresser used Wella, so I knew I was going to stick with that. I watched videos and researched a TON, and I don’t think I will EVER go back to a salon. well not to dye my hair blonde atleast 🤩😉 I am not a professional 🙃 I just like to do my own hair.

IšverstiShow in original languageExactly what I needed to start my new look. I’ve used blondor in the past and it never disappoints. I’ve tried other bleaching products and it doesn’t quite work as well as Blondor.

Anyone with a sensitive scalp should add a couple packets of “sweet n low” to the mix to prevent itchiness if you’re processing close to the root. I have dark Asian hair and am always fearful of getting that brassy orange color along with breakage.

I rather not go 40vol on the developer but I do with Blondor because it seems to get the job done in one process. I recommend adding Olaplex no 1 to the mixture due to intense chemical damage that could follow from processing.

It helps keep the integrity of your hair rather than creating a dry strawlike texture, which usually follows after bleaching. I also recommend toning with a purple toner to eliminate any unwanted brass that might still be present.

To upkeep the cool tones I highly recommend using a sulfate free, preferably purple, shampoo. Good luck everyone!.

IšverstiShow in original languageSo I’m going to start by saying that this hair dye is my go-to vivid dyes, they are amazing, all except for the pink. DON’T BUY THE PINK. Seriously, I have no idea why they are all amazing and that one color is such a dud but whatever.

I’ve been doing vivids for over six years now and I have always used Pravana. I was absolutely bummed when they discontinued the Locked-In line because when you are doing multiple colors they can bleed together and the Locked-In prevented that and it was amazing.

I really wish Pravana would bring it back because I know I’m not the only one who appreciated it. Unfortunately I did try the crystal colors and they were absolutely horrible, they left spots that were completely untouched and I had to completely redo my entire head.

The regular vivids are amazeballs though and I will continue to use them.

IšverstiShow in original languageDont assume since its not bleach that you have some extra time with this product. I decided to get fancy and do hi lite low lites at same time with out much help. Since Im not too experienced with doing my own hi low lites my method took extra time going back and forth.

Especially being only my second time doing this and first time with permanent color , I experienced my first mess up with this which resulted in breakage. So sad. But to any newbies dont forget this is not a semi color and it will not be as forgiving if you try some professional tricks and dont get the colors on in time.

The shade was exactly what I was looking for deep and rich. As expected the color remained vivid for much longer then the Demi. ( the strands that didnt break off that is. ) :/.

Of course after 6 weeks out of the salon is turns brassy, I bought this hoping it would make my hair look balanced again since it says it can also be used on brunette hair to combat brassy unbalanced hair.

OMG did it do the trick. I followed the directions and lathered twice, I didn’t use conditioner afterwards but after towel drying my hair used my leave-in conditioner and then blow dried it. It looks brand new, like I just left the salon and my hair no longer looks choppy and orange! Such a great buy it’s so cheap and perfect to prolong those costly salon visits! My hair is super soft not drying for me at all.

Must Buy!.

IšverstiShow in original languageClairol ($13cad on sale/$20 reg for 931ml) had a lot of pigments which helped toned my hair down and over time with continued use my blonde appeared brighter. I liked this because it was a big bottle for the price you pay with a pump that made it easy to use.

My hair felt healthy and soft after using because I find that usually drugstore colour depositing shampoos dry out your hair and doesn’t add in any hydrating benefits. While Fanola is really well known for their purple shampoo but they are expensive ($22cad on sale/$87 reg for 1000ml).

Their shampoo is perfect for ash hair; going from blonde to platinum ash grey. The John Frieda purple shampoo does not work ($13cad for 250ml).

IšverstiShow in original languageIt has been a long time since I had done a cap highlight on myself but I was open to switching up my hair color and trying out Revlon’s Color Effects Frost Glow. I used the smaller hook end of the tool because I wanted a subtle highlight.

It took a few tries before I got the method down for pulling the hair through the cap. I think it is really important to keep the tool flat to your head with the hook pointed up, to get the best results without pulling at your hair.

Because I didn’t want a dramatic change, I planned to only pulled hair through the circled holes and only in the front and crown portions of the cap. I found it much too difficult to pull hair from any farther back on my head, so there was no chance I was going to be able to accomplish an all-over highlight, even if I wanted to.

I would recommend having someone help you pull hair through the cap if you are going for a full head of highlights and definitely if you are new to cap highlights. The mixing and coloring process was super easy.

The mixture did not smell harsh which was definitely appreciated. I would prefer a better fitting pair of gloves to wear. As you apply the mixture and make sure each strand is saturated, the gloves start to slide off and get in the way.

I intended to check my hair after 10 minutes but my timer never went off, so it was 15 minutes before I checked. When I checked it, I panicked because it looked very blonde and brassy compared to my chocolate cherry brown hair color.

After rinsing it off and shampooing and conditioning with the included toning shampoo and conditioner, I felt a little bit better about the color. It still looked very light (mostly in front) when I started to dry my hair with my Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer.

After styling, other than looking a little more 2000’s chunky highlight at the front of my face than I would have liked, I am very happy with the look! I was actually pleasantly surprised that the color chart on the box was accurate! It would be nice to get a bigger packet of the toning conditioner and shampoo.

I have shoulder-length fine hair and used the whole packet. Even putting two of each packet would be beneficial especially to those with long or thick hair. I could possibly see myself using this kit in the future, though I would probably force my husband to help pull hair through the cap.

From hook to styling, the whole process took me about 3 1/2 hours. It gets a little chaotic trying to hold a mirror and angle yourself just right to reach all of the holes on the cap. If you’re looking to save yourself a hundred (or more) dollars and you have the time and patience, I would definitely recommend this Revlon Color Effects kit!.

IšverstiShow in original languageSo let me preface this review by saying that I have A LOT of experience with using box dyes. I started dying my hair in 6th grade and have probably used every product under the sun since.

For the last 6 years or so I have been platinum blonde and both going to the salon and bleaching my roots at home with bleach and developer and toners so I also have a lot of experience bleaching my hair.

I am naturally a level 7 but my hair can be kind of stubborn so I was expecting this to not lift quite as much as I needed to but figured I could always fix it with a second round. But lately I have been using 20 volume developer and this I believe uses 30 so I probably should have factored that in.

I left the mixture on for the full 60 minutes but I feel like I could have taken it out sooner because it ended being almost too light and a little more damaged than I would have liked. I also had a hard time getting the bleach powder into the opening of the developer bottle and ended up spilling some so I decided to mix it in a bowl and use a brush instead since that’s what I’m used to.

I also had a hard time with the consistency being so liquid since for roots application you really want to be as precise as possible and it was also much harder to see where I had applied it than it is with traditional bleach.

All of this aside, if I had never bleached my hair before I think this would have been an awesome find. I normally use olaplex in my bleach and I honestly can’t tell if the bond protection in this product works because I had never used a version that didn’t have it to compare.

I did also appreciate that this came with toning shampoo as well as conditioner which is rare for box dyes.

IšverstiShow in original languageSo this color was exactly what I would pick if I was going to a salon. I have pretty dark hair on top and bleached hair about 1/2 down. So I was a bit nervous to try it but I figured since I work from home I could always fix it if it went horribly wrong.

I just preface this review with the fact that I have a lot of hair. It is thick and I’ve always been told that I have about 3-4 times the amount than most do. When in a ponytail it is about 1. 25″ in diameter.

So keep that in mind when I say that the cap needs a ton of planning and patience. I didnt have anyone to help me do it so I sectioned my hair into four sections. I wanted to make sure I didn’t only get highlights on the top and sides.

I started this early and let me tell you the cap is what took the longest. I have used regular hair bleach and foils so I was prepared to spend a lot of time pulling out my hair. once I got it all done an hour and 20 mins later I mixed up the product and was surprised how pleasant it smelled.

So for me I started with the front and front sides because I knew that would stay the longest and that’s where I wanted my hair to be lighter. Then I did the top middle and sides and finished with the back.

I clipped my hair with my plastic clips to keep my hair out of my face. I had a little left over so I decided to pull out a couple extra pieces and coated those right away. I would definitely recommend not taking it off early.

I think it needs the full processing time to get the color closest to the box. What I liked about the cap was that I didn’t have to foil my hair to protect the other hair from getting bleached. what I didn’t like was not truly knowing how it would come out.

When it was time to rinse. I carefully pulled the cap off. I was so scared my hair would tear out, but it was pretty easy to take off. So much easier than it was to put it on. lol. I did not use the enclosed shampoo because I have my own violet shampoo and blue shampoo.

So I used that and my blue hair mask to condition it. I was shocked how my hair felt though. it was soft and not dry like I thought it might be. Over I love the color and am shocked at how good it came out.

I think had I had help to do the cap it would have been faster. But for the price and results I am hooked. Will definitely be buying another box or two to keep up my highlights during the summer. I’m loving my hair and the color looks so good on my bleached hair.

IšverstiShow in original languageIk ben echt meer dan tevreden. Ik heb donkerbruin haar van mezelf, en bijna de hele lengte is zwart geverfd. Alleen m’n voorste plukken zijn fel blauw. Dit krijg ik zo door m’n haar eerst platinumblond te blonderen.

Met slecht blondeerspul is dit moeilijk haalbaar en maakt je haar kapot (spreek helaas uit ervaring). Dit spul heeft mijn donkerbruine haar in 1 x lichtblond gemaakt! Ik was zo blij toen ik na 20 minuten al zag dat ik het niet nog een keer hoefde te blonderen!! Hoewel, m’n haar waar dus nog zwarte haarverf in zat werd niet echt blond.

Begrijpelijk, want heb onlangs geleerd dat je geverfd haar eerst moet ontkleuren voor je het blondeert. Al met al super tevreden, ga voortaan dit spul gebruiken om mn blauwe haar bij te houden.

After having watched at least hundred YouTube videos, trying various brands, endless research and a year later I found the perfect bleach formulation for my hair.

I do not use foils or a heat lamp and my hair still lifts many levels to a pale banana yellow color. After toning, my hair is a pearl blonde shade. Bleach can be frightening, however its been 2 years since I’ve started bleaching/toning my own hair and I couldn’t have done it without this bleach.

Het poeder ruikt ook aangemaakt nog lekker en stuift inderdaad niet. Een 20 volume developer gebruikt om de schade aan m’n haar zo veel mogelijk te beperken. De gebruiksaanwijzing staat op de bus zelf wat moeilijk leest vw de lettergrootte en de kleur van de bus.

Daarnaast mis ik als leek een indicatie van hoeveel product nodig te hebben (40 gr is voor een paar highlights veel te veel mensen!, helft weg kunnen gooien). Daarom toch een ster minder. Verder niets dan lof voor de gehele Blond me lijn; fijne producten die ook verzorgen tijdens het behandelen van je haar.

Mede daardoor is mijn fijne, blonde haar ondanks het kleuren toch nog in relatief gezonde staat.

IšverstiShow in original languageIk heb al diverse haarkleuringen gebruikt. Maar deze vind ik het beste. Is ook echt permanent en dekt perfect grijs haar. Licht bruin is ook echt licht bruin in tegenstelling tot andere haarverf die altijd veel donkerder bruin is.

Maar omdat ik mijn haar een maal volledig met bruin heb geverfd is licht bruin te licht voor alleen aan de wortel bij te verven. Ik gebruik bruin, is ook een mooie kleur. Ik raad deze haarverf echt aan.

De hoofdhuid jeukt er ook helemaal niet door.

IšverstiShow in original languageIm in love w this dye just FYI it has light blue hue but it washes off and not too bothersome. The lift is amazing all time high. Such a good dye!. Its not ultra gentle like Joico so please protect hair w olaplex and rinse with water+vinegar to kill the alcalinity and not injure your lengths.

It leaves roots lifted AND toned. Great product!!!! Cant rate high enough.

Doch die Tönung hat super gewirkt und hat den Gelbstich super abmattiert. Ist mir etwas zu dunkel zum Schluss geworden, das lag aber daran, dass ich sie zu lange drin gelassen habe. Das nächste mal mache ich kürzer und die Längen und spitzen nur 5-10 Minuten.

Aber der Effekt der Tönung ist super und genau der richtige!! War mein erstes Mal das ich selber was gemacht hab und die Anwendung war sehr einfach :).

Vlasy jsem měla po vysušení hrozně hrubé, ani trochu lesklé.

Preislich jedoch ist der Preis sehr fair, ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass das Produkt auf gleichmäßig gefärbtem Haar den gewünschten effekt erzielt!.

I’ve been using this color for several months now after testing it at my hairdresser’s. I’m a total fan! Brilliant, good hold, beautiful finish. The only downside is that the color is darker than indicated on the package (I am a dark brunette and use light brown for my roots).

IšverstiShow in original languageI just done my friends hair with this product it turned out a very dark brown instead of dark blonde like the box claims to be. I would suggest you completely bleach you’re hair first then apply this hair dye for best results.

I’ve never bought this product for myself and tried it. But I got this in the mail as a free sample and tested it on my friend she loved it even tho it didn’t turn out like the box said it would. It also came with the lumishine 22 developer so I didn’t have to buy any thang.

I’m pretty darn sure you can buy it on Amazon. com and at Sally’s Beauty Supply.
