20 Best Low Spin Golf Balls (2023 Updated)

This golf ball is noticeably longer than what I have been playing. I played pro v 1 tru feel and noodle neon That said this ones noticeably longer. My longest drive to date is 358 But im avg 285-300 this ball brought my avg up at least 5-10 yards.

The tru feel is similar in distance and feel and the noodle neon is less in distance but great feel on the irons. All and all its a great ball.

Red color is too bright. I could not focus on it to even consider hitting it off the tee.

With my slow club head speed, I need a low compression golf ball to get a little distance back. I can hit these golf balls 150-160 yards in the air and, with a good roll-out, I can get 180-190 yards on my tee shot.

The color orange is easier for me to see as the yellow ones disappear in the dandelions. I also have good luck with the bright green color golf balls.

I have been on what seems like an endless journey to find the right ball for me. Key word me. I have tried ALL the top brand tour balls regular and their X version. Yes those are great balls when and if you hit them well.

I don’t play professionally and don’t plan to but i still want to play decently out on the course. I decided to go the opposite way and try a much less expensive ball and stuck to a ball brand that I trust and that professionals trust as well.

Srixon makes great golf balls and do love their Z star line, but don’t like to lose them especially for the price of each dozen. Even with the buy one get one sale it adds up when you lose 4-6 balls per round and play 2-3 times a month.

Enter Soft Feel from Srixon. Right away I will tell you I do lose these as well. However not as often as the premium tour balls. These soft 2-3 piece lower compression balls do spin less off the driver.

Minimizing those occasionall slice drives and shots. These seem to keep me in play 3-4 more times per round. They feel great both off my woods and irons wedges and putter. They do seem to go father and or at least as far as I hit the tour balls.

Where they lack however is around the greens. You might need more loft or hit it a bit lighter then normal to keep it from rolling away from you around the greens. I’ll take the trade off for keeping me in play off the tee to having to play it a bit more carefully around the green.

Great value as it won’t sting to lose an expensive ball and have to take a penalty as well, this ball is great for my game and has a lot of value.

I am now [Male] 79 and been playing since age 11. In my prime, I was an 8 playing 2-3xs a week, 9-18 holes. B/C I have had some health issues, the past 3 years, my handicap is 18 with a swing speed of 71-73mph.

The past 3 years, I have used the SF lady playing winter league indoor golf, here is WI. I also have stage 2 COPD. What can I say about the SF Lady? I like the feel off the club, stays straight with my swing, and my launch great.

With this lower compression ball, I am getting 5-10 yds more in distance. Yes, I have tried other low compression balls, but the SF Lady is where it is at, for overall performance.

I bought these specifically for backyard practice wedge practice. Their extremely bright orange is incredibly easy to find when plugged into deep grass or if they carry into wooded areas, exactly why I purchased these.

They do seem to really fly off the club face and seem very durable after using almost daily for a couple weeks. I did try some putting with these, and I don’t like the feel. I use Bridgestone’s Tour B XS as my course ball, and they don’t even compare when it comes to putting feel.

Obviously, they won’t compare in this area to a premium ball, but I will say they do putt better than other lower price balls I’ve tried. They have a very solid feel, which beats out a lot of cheaper balls that have that super bouncy feel off the putter.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend these for the price range.

These balls are AMAZING. Increased my driver distance by at least 25 yards. No wonder they are sold out. Playing on Tuesday. Hope to find some someplace before then. I had ONE and never tried them before.

This spring I have got some Bridgestone new Tour B line balls. I found them really good for my game. However, they are expensive. The much cheaper Bridgestone Extra Soft Golf Balls serve extremely well, still provides great distance and good control.

I also found that the durability of these balls is outstanding.

I have been playing ERC soft for 2 years now. both models (1st and second generation). The ball is great for mid to low swing speeds. Mine is around 85mph. It goes high and straight if u hit it good.

I have a power fade shot that is pretty consistent with this ball. Approach shots 7 iron down can actually hold the green if u can get the ball in the air which is no problem for me. If u hit low shots it’s gonna run out on you.

not the balls’ fault!!! It has decent spin around the greens but NOT great!! U have to play the roll out and/or control it with trajectory. U must learn this or it will roll out on u big time. This is the only reason I’m not giving it a five star.

But if u can and love hitting greens’ without paying $50 a box for the extra spin. this could be your ball. The putting lines r a plus too if the lines don’t distract u on approach shots. I’m 50 yrs young and a 9 handicap.

I ordered a dozen Callaway super soft yellow balls. I play this ball regularly. Low spin, hits straight and long. I can see the bright yellow better than any other colored ball. I am completely satisfied with this ball! I had them personalized with an alignment line and 3 letters “—— JOE ——“.

It looks good out of the box. That looked good for about 9 holes. It faded and wore off and my name was unreadable after 18 holes. The original ball markings are still good after 4 rounds with that ball.

The personalization is just a light smudge. I usually play one ball for multiple (4-6) rounds with “JOE” written on it with a sharpie. Sometimes I have to remark them. The personalization is sub standard, and just creates a smudge or blight on the ball.

Please find a way to make it last as long as the other writing on the ball. As it is, it’s worse than not having it. Joe,.

Very nice golf ball. With my mid 90 mph ss, ball performed well in some very windy conditions. For what it is worth, I play to a 7 hd p. Excellent trajectory on all shots and held the line very well.

It was as long for me compared to the AVX. Held greens on half and full wedge shots. Not the spiniest but very good. Several shots hit and maybe a foot or two roll out. Felt very good off all clubs. A little softer feel than AVX but solid with all clubs.

It sounds a bit “clicky” on a milled face putter, but I prefer that over a marshmallow feel and sound. Given price point, I may change this year. Been playing AVX for several years now. A very good ball, but I really like the carry and overall performance of this B 566 V ball.

Bought these on recommendation from a close golf buddy. We have similar games and played the same ball until he switched to the RB Tour X. He loves them and now plays them exclusively. So, based on his impression and the fact we preferred/played the same ball, I pulled the trigger and got six dozen of the Tour X’s.

Couldn’t pass them up given the price and a pretty hefty discount for buying six dozen (way cheaper than the one I was gaming). Well, that was a big mistake! These have to be the worse golf ball I have ever played.

Which is saying a lot since I’ve been golfing for 30+ years. First the cover – It feels great around the greens, but one bunker shot or that first pured iron and it’s cut with groove marks Second – Lack of distance.

Thought it was my imagination at first, but compared them to two other brands on the GC Quad and they are consistently 15+ yards shorter of the driver and a club difference shorter off the irons Third the feel – The only reason they get 1-Star is because the feel around the greens.

Very similar to Srixon’s Z-XV. Just a little less clicky. Other than that, they feel like a waterlogged dud. Heavy off the club face and no explosiveness whatsoever.

Very decent ball. Everyone will have their preferences but this worked for me. Not quite a “clicky” as its predessessor. It’s just, above average at everything, at around half the price of most premium balls? Soft enough; Long enough; straight enough.

You get the drift? It seems reasonably robust too as I’ve played one round with it, didn’t lose the ball and it’s still in “good nick”.

My wife likes pink golf balls so I got a dozen of the Reva. It was love at first sight. We immediately ordered more. She’s hitting these balls further for some unexplained reason. She thinks it’s the ball, but I think she’s just so happy hitting them that’s she’s swinging better.

These golf ball are easy to follow (I ordered pink) and provide long distance. They are great at chipping and along the greens. They can fit in my cart ball washer though since they are slightly larger than standard size.

I don’t use them for tournaments but I love playing with them on our lady league days.

I’m a longtime Pro V1 user but recently received a sleeve of these to test for TGW, I was very impressed. I would say that the Z-Star is comparable or exceeded performance of many of the high end tour balls.

The durability and trajectory of these balls are their best features, for durability, I played nearly a full round with one ball and could barely notice any scuffing or marks. Regarding trajectory, I felt like these flew slighty lower but with a more piercing flight than the Pro V1s that I’m used to.

This was especially welcome on wedge shots where I hit a couple of nice knock down sand wedges that came in low, missed the wind and checked up quickly. The spin was probably slightly less than Titleist balls but nothing that significant.

Overall, for the price, a great ball, I may switch once my current stock of Pro V1s are gone.

The Srixon Z Star ball is great for my game. of al the balls I’ve tried I really like the Z Star the best. It’s my ball of choice for the foreseeable future. Long off the driver, workable with long irons and sticks on the greens.

The straightest and one of the longest balls I play. Durable, high quality, I’ve turned a lot of friends on to these from scratch players to beginners. I really prefer the lower pitch sound from tee to green to the category leader which sounds like a stick breaking.

My handicap hovers around 24 to 25, and I tend to miss to the right. I played Friday and was happy with all my tee shots. I have played this course six or seven times and one shot sticks out in my mind.

It is a 350 yard hole with two large trees in the middle of the Fairway about 150 to 160 yards out that usually give me trouble. I hit a low screamer that landed about 240 yards out after splitting the trees perfectly.

Will something similar happened next time I play that course? We’ll see. But I have been playing this particular ball off and on over the past two years and have really liked it. I finally settled on it and purchased 6 dozen of them from these guys.

I typically like the 3 layer tour grade balls with either the surlyn or urethane cover. The e6 soft is also 3 layers but with a iomer cover which is a tad harder than the previous two in my opinion, however, the ball does not feel hard on contact.

this ball is long and straight off the tee and when hit on the sweet spot of my club face, with explosive distance. I have found that even with shots that are slightly off the sweet spot or minor mis-hits, this ball does not slice nearly as much as the tour grade balls which tend to spin more.

The results have been impressive and had added about 10 yards to my drives and about 5 yards to my irons. The only downside is that these balls aren’t cheap! meaning that they are almost the same price as the Bridgestone 330’s so if you’re looking to switch balls to save money, this is not a good option.

For beginners, my suggestion is to buy inexpensive 2 layer balls or used golf balls.

I typically play ProV1’s, but decided to try some e6 softs after finding and playing one. I was expecting straighter drives, but also more roll out when hitting the green. I have found this ball to be long and straight with the driver, but have been very surprised by how well it stops on the green.

Full iron shots either stop dead or take one hop. Chips also check up well. The ball is a little more “lively” off the putter than I’m used too, but I’m getting used to that.

A great ball at an affordable price. The bright color is easy to see from tee to green. If you play a golf course that has a hole near a driving range your shot gets near the range balls, this one will stand out.

Soft cover enhances feel provides better spin around the greens so the ball checks up with limited roll out. Stand out make a statement by opting to ditch the boring white golf balls.

I am a 58 year old woman and my club speed is about 89 mph off the tee. The ball speed is about 125 mph (according to Callaway and Ping – I play a Callaway/Ping bag). According to Calloway’s website these balls are for someone who hits at my speed and up to 95 mph.

and these Supersofts are absolutely phenomenal. I am here to tell you that Callaway is correct. I have tried many many many different brands of balls to see if they hold up to the Callaway Supersoft low compression, low spin, long carry and long roll as I get older because I want the distance and control and I haven’t found any other ball that hits as long and as soft as these balls hit.

When I swing my club through the ball it is like hitting through soft butter and I tried the Titleist Trusoft ball and it jarred the heck out of my arthritic hands. There is no comparison – Callaway is just a phenomenal super soft ball for me as a 58 year old woman who still swings a great club and still has great distance.

Do I recommend them??? They are the ONLY ball in my bag.

I ordered 4 dozen golf balls and only 2 dozen were delivered. It appeared that someone had removed 8 sleeves of balls from the two boxes. Very disappointing. Otherwise I like the golf balls.

First time I used this on Florida golf course. My drive usually have a baby fade about 2-5 yards and this one a lot straighter and gained about 5-10 yards (may not be significant, but I’ll take it). When I hit a draw, it’s even longer (10-20 yards).

I love it and will be intermittently using it with my other preferred ball (lot of spin on greens) until my swing speed changed. Cover scuffs quickly though, other than that, it’s a good ball.

Bought a dozen of these to try out. I had heard that previous Mizuno balls were very prone to cuts and scuffs. I used the same ball for nearly 14 holes, until I hit it into the woods, and found that it held up very well and was reasonably responsive for shorter yardage shots given the caliber of ball.

Would recommend for those in the market for a nice 2 piece ball, an upgrade over the average “trunk slammer” golf ball for close to the same price.

Great all round ball. I have a fairly high handicap and get good results with these throughout the course. Some balls don’t feel right when you putt but I find these good. They are the older model but I like them just as well as the newer model.

The line on these is slightly lighter and thinner than the newer model.

I play the yellow Q-Star ball, an excellent performer. I’ve played golf for 40 years now, played about everything out there and never really found one I liked enough to consistently stick with until now.

I bought some 5A mixed yellow balls on Ebay a year or so ago, about 40 IIRC. They were a varied lot but there were about 10 Q-stars. The Q-Stars were the best performers, good feel and distance that is probably 20 yards more than the Nikes, Noodles, and others I had.

I’m 69 going on 70 so my best days for hitting big are in the past. until I found that driving a Q-Star gave me superior distance. They have great distance but they also have a good feel, not like hitting rocks the way some of the other balls (which shall remain nameless) feel.

I always had a problem with expensive balls like Titleists: all I could ever see was $4 when I looked at one and it affected my swing negatively, but the Q-Star is a medium priced ball with fabulous performance and I can swing freely.

I only wish I’d had this ball some years back, but such is hindsight.

I don’t know what else to say other than if you have a Nintendo DS and you have a plethora of DS games and you need some cheats to get past a level or anything of the sort then the action replay is the way to go.

Adding codes to it is the easiest, simplest thing also whether you have a micro SD card or not. 10/10 would recommend anyone and everyone to buy. Get em while you still can because they’re becoming more scarce to find.

The quality of the Titleist ball is unmatched. The Pro V1x gives me the harder feel I prefer. The personalization options are a bonus. PGA Superstore makes the ordering process easy and fool proof. This is not my first order and won’t be my last.

The golf balls are great but the personalization was so small and light colored that it is difficult to even see. Very disappointed This was a gift for my grandson (high school senior) for district, regional and state tournaments.

Ordered last year and did not have a problem.

For this price I personalized a couple of dozen with some funky saying and tried them on the course and was as I impressed. I think my buddies are gona go buy some as well? Great ball. Hope they don’t change it or discontinue it.

I just started playing with them this late fall. I like the sound they make off my driver. you know you hit it correctly. sounds like a rifle. The distance is consistent with balls selling in the $20 dollar range.

They seem to hold the green even in this colder weather. For someone who plays a couple times a week. definitely a good buy.

I ordered two dozen 5A (Mint) NXT Tour balls. I received one dozen of those and one dozen with logos and ball marks and player names and everything all over them. Contacted lost golf balls explain the situation, and I was told they will send me another dozen.

They sent me another dozen, but it was just like the second dozen of the first shipment, that is they were all logos marks and scuffs. I was told by the company that that’s the way it goes, so I shipped those two dozen that were unacceptable back for a refund.

One is always a bit skeptical when buying used golfballs; I am here writing this because this company changed my mind. The condition in appearance is perfect, the coating feels slightly different but the ball plays exactly the same.

The ball has a small marking on it opposite the NXT Tour side showing it’s refurbished but who cares about that because you (I do) put your alignment line through the “refurbish” stamp. The company is quick to send their product out and UPS was swift as usual getting it to my home.

I was very pleased and will order again soon; not because I’m losing that many balls but rather because my friends can’t believe it’s refurbished and want to “try one out”.

I used to play Callaway and Bridgestone. My golf partner suggested I try the NXT TOUR S. I did and must say I love it. The price on this 7 dozen was better than any pro shop or discount store. The ball reacts off the club head and spins like a soft cover ball.

It may not be quite as long as the distance ball but there isn’t enough difference to really tell. I would buy this ball again and use it as my regular golf ball. The only negative I have is that I prefer high numbered golf balls (5-8) but I can deal with the lower numbers for this price.

Love the left dash, but not for everyone, provides a few more yards of tee, less spin on driver and slightly less on irons, but does require high swing speed. Currently my swing speed is above 100 and to compress, but not the 110 from other sources who rec.

the ball. It does feel more firm than prov1 and Prov1x. But I find it more durable throughout a round. The left dash provides similar results on all shots, Except for those rare short high speed chips and pitches around the green…but very close.

This ball seems to be at a higher compression than standard pro vs. Really zips of the face with driver and long irons. Slight lose of feel on the shorter irons but only very minor. Putting absolutely fine and runs true but with slightly less aural feedback on the quality of strike.

Weathers a bit cold and wet in the UK at the moment Feb but suspec.

I ordered 3 dozens of 5A prov1x balls. almost 2/3 is acceptable but rest of them can not be rated to 5A but 4A or worse. 2 dozens were in two green net packages and one dozen was in white plastic bag.

Balls in white plastic bag can not be 5A. Balls in green net bags were acceptable. Only just some of them were 4A, maybe.
