The prop was purchased for combatives training and serves that purpose perfectly, will hit *most* holsters. Stiff enough for retention training and disarms. This is far from a soft rubber and will cause injury if used improperly.

If you want to practice your draw i would recommender a blue gun. The rubbery texture will cause drag in holsters. For combatives 10/10 !.

Use for basic firearm training principles: stance, grip, sighting, safety protocols Like to do this in classroom before taking folks out in range. This one has a realistic weight and sights with a distinct (though non-functional) trigger.

Not as solid as other brands of training guns. It is more flexible and rubbery than expected but is still not a bad training aid for the price. The more expensive brands are more solid and will likely last longer.

This training rubber 1911 by Cold Steel is perfect to provide new shooters manipulations and explanations with zero security risks. The density of the rubber used makes it lighter than a real steel pistol and but it is not intended to use this training pistol a real one.

The finish of this product is very good and handling it is pleasant, with a nice touch. To sum up this quick review, I would say it is a good quality product, at original scale but with no possibility to confound it with a real firearm, due to the green color.

Moreover, it has been designed as a monolith rubber block, so that it will last for a long time even if you make it drop on the floor. As a concusion, I am very glad to have bought this product !.

Quality is of Cold Steel=great! It floats in water so easy to recover. Tub Toy. Very faithful to 1911 configuration. Solid, not hollow.

Has a rail, sticks in holsters I have for non-rail pistol. Gets dirty easily. Barrel bends somewhat. Good for disarming techniques, moving & shooting training, Room clearing, etc.

The bracket is sturdy. Note the back plate is only 1/4” The top plate is 1/2”. The back holes are drilled to permit screws into the center of any 2x material or greater, however the top hole screws will clear the top of any 2 x stud supporting the top plate.

If your brackets are mortised into your top plate as shown on the manufacturers product page then the #12 2. 5” screws included will go right though your top plate and stick out on either side of your stud.

Unfortunately the shanked threads purchase less than an inch of the top plate. Not a particularly robust arrangement…use 4x studs or 4 x top plate, offset your studs or/and use unshanked screws. The screws included by the way are poor quality, if you use them be careful to predrill and not to overtighten.

First one head broke right off.

Serves my purpose by providing the necessary strength/support that I was seeking. Would have given it 5 stars but the finish was imperfect. Had to spent time fixing that because in my application there is a non-obvious ability to see the bracket.

Ironworks did (to their credit) provide a partial credit for the damage after I provided photos.

I bought one for my exhusbands rifle for xmas and when I put it on his gun I bought one for my pistol. These look so amazing and turn a boring gun into a sweet looking gun. So many options to choose from! I watched the YouTube “how to” video a few times and it wasn’t to bad.

Definitely got better and easier the second time around. Going to buy another one for my shotgun!!.

The product is a 5 out of 5. Technical 4 out of 5My 1911 frame was full sized with large front and rear sights so it was a stretch to get full coverage. The final result is amazing. Took about 2. 5-3 hours.

This book is the most comprehensive story of Glock. The story starts with FBI Miami Dade county shoot out and move along the parallel history of American law enforcement quest for up to date firearms and Glock innovation by Austrian engineer.

The book tells story about how Glock became an icon and part of pop culture. It is surprisingly fun and entertaining book to read. One word of advice this is not a how to book so there is no assembly/disassembly, how to repair Glock in this book.

You don’t have to be a Glockster to enjoy this book.

I read a galley copy that I received from the author Paul Barrett a couple months ago when I was up visiting New York City. I met Paul when he came out with his previous book Glock. Since I know firearms Glocks forums blogs and social media I helped show and introduce him around.

I’m helping him again. And as part of that I read _Law of the Jungle by Paul M. Barrett Law of the Jungle: The $19 Billion Legal Battle Over Oil in the Rain Forest and the Lawyer Who’d Stop at Nothing to Win_.

I know a lot less about what happened in Ecuador that I do about plastic pistols. That said that helped since the non fiction book was a cliff hanger for me. I didn’t ruin it by jumping on Wikipedia or reading Paul’s reporting about the Cof.

Book gives history and policy moves. Shrewd people who saw political situations and made the company even more profitable by changing the police and civilian markets while gun control advocates were trying to destroy GLOCK.

A lot of interesting anecdotes and observations. I loved authors sense of humor that also respected people. I’m going to investigate his other books.

Very nice quality targets – we shot quite a few up over the weekend and I really liked them. Nice heavy paper and the rounds leave precise marks – they don’t tear out to where it’s hard to score. They help up well to being stapled to the cardboard and were easy to take off without tearing the whole corner of the sheet off.

Also easy to write on – some of these have a finish that doesn’t accept ink very well.

I’ve read several reviews on “other” D1 Targets and the issue of thin, low quality paper being used. The Domagron Targets came packaged in quality packaging and flat. The target is made of heavy “poster style” paper and would hold up in very heavy winds.

I’ve used them indoor and outdoor ranges. wonderful product! These are true NRA D1 targets and the center circles of the Tombstone are very visible. Of course, with my “old eyes” I lose site of the circles at about 15 yards.

The product is quality material. They should include the squeegee in with the product. I didn’t order it and a piece of cardboard worked ok. Application was not as easy as the video made it look. However, it came out like I expected.

The product itself is perfect for what I use it for.. its reasonably priced and all around a great gift. This is the second time I have ordered this and just like last time, I’m satisfied.
