These matches really do strike instantaneously with a half-inch scratch. I have been using other matches that require a two inch scratch and, even then, may not light so that the scratch surface in worn out long before the box of matches is empty.

I like these matches and over all they strike pretty easily. I have noticed that the match sticks are pretty easy to break so I have to use more than one to get a fire started. You can strike the match stick right on the box and the striking plates, which are on both sides of the box, do not wear out and are still useful even after you have used all your matches.

The match sticks are kind of short so they may not be the best solution for all your needs. But I keep these on hand for starting fires in the fire pit, burning papers, or lighting candles. This is a good brand and one I will continue to use.

well they light but not like the original Diamond matches I bought before they changed the thickness of the match and the quality. it burns too fast and you have to be quick before the stick burns down.

I consider this dangerous for some. Cheap and you can tell by the 97 cent price. i am requesting a refund and will buy another brand.

the new boxes with the solid brown strip are impossible to light after 10-15 matches. The first few matches struggle to strike on the strip. The side stripe wears out too fast and is unusable after 10-15 matches.

My boyfriend loved it! Just wish it was Garnet which is Capricorn’s zodiac color. Love the thought and the constellations but would be more personal if every rose for the zodiacs actually reflected the zodiac’s actual color.

Capricorn is black and garnet for January. Just a tip.

My mom’s a nurse and have been working non-stop lately. I just can feel that she’s slowly getting burned out at work so I want to cheer her up a bit with these flowers. She really loved them.

I cannot say to or not to buy these matches. They do work, just not as well as we thought they would. Definitely not strike anywhere and yes, we are being reasonable about where we were trying. For me, the price is high at over 3.

00/box for the quality of our successes in getting them to light anywhere. We will keep testing them out though. If there is a “learning curve” I will post as such. I don’t hate these, but I probably wouldn’t by them again.

Excelant, I found some hollow candel wick, cut to lenght, put the match inside up to the match head, then dip the match in melted wax several times. Now I have great strike anywhere matches, that are water proof, & with an extended burn time to start a fire.

These are great for survival purposes.

I can’t believe I’m writing a review of matches, but here we are. These are truly horrible. Each match is fragile – they open snap when striking the side of the box. They also are surprisingly difficult to light! These are MATCHES.

This shouldn’t be hard. Beyond that, these things burn for perhaps 3 seconds before the flame engulfs the rest of the matchstick. So, if you don’t light in time. you either burn your fingers or use another match.

Super wasteful. Anyway, these are dumb. Don’t buy them.

I love that these matches are made from FSC wood that has been sustainably harvested. They function similarly to the standard box of safety kitchen matches that I was replacing. The environmentally friendly wood source made me decide to try this brand.

The matches have a green tip that is fun for a change, but otherwise look like a standard wood match. They light easily when struck against the side of the box, but will not ignite against other matches when in the box.

They create a small puff of smoke when ignited which I don’t remember seeing with other matches, but it is not enough to signal my very sensitive smoke detector. So far, only one match in the box was a dud and self extinguished after burning for a short period of time.

The others have burnt slowly and strong. I recommend these matches.

Used these to teach kids how to light a gas cook stove with matches. These were really great as the kids could hold them really far back from the flame, and they could take their time. Kids were really proud they did it!.

First of all, these matches burn five times longer because they’re five times bigger than a normal match. The maches, themselves, work fine. There’s nothing special about these matches, as they’re not water or windproof, they’re just a normal match.

The GreenLight matches are awesome. I’ve never had a dud. You may want the longer sticks if you are a little slow in lighting something. I’ve never seen a match work so well! I feel real matches are an important thing to have with you on camping trips and as an emergency light when you need one.

Hello influenster! How are you? Well let me tell you that i love this brabd of marches is good they are large matches the long enough and eco friendly made of wood not plastic or whatever, 100% recommended this brand of matches.

I have used these matches for years and was most impressed with them. Shove one of these into some wood shavings and you are almost guaranteed your fire will start. Then I went to start a fire with a brand new pack and they would not start on fire.

They were not wet. They would not even start to spark. I agree that of course there can be bad batches of anything but when you have hungry mouths to feed and your in the bush and your fire does not start that is not good.

Luckily I had another source of fire. Now I carry a flint and steel as my primary fire starter, and a lighter as back up. It is more rewarding to start a fire that way after all, and if my seven year old son can do it you can too.

I would recommend bringing a small zip lock bag of tinder. It is so light and small and you can experiment with all kinds of things : birch bark, cotton wood fluff, dandelion fluff, dryer lint, toilet paper.

the list goes on and on. Some times you can just find stuff as you walk but it is always good to have something stashed away for when things are wet outside.

I was car camping with a rented stove. The flint on the stove wasn’t working. My lighter wasn’t working. These worked! Over and over! Be careful not to break the matches when striking. The plastic + carboardbox packaging was a bit inocnviented.

Not only is the price on these quite reasonable, but they are just as good as I remember, plus havi g them in a convenient pocket pocket pack is just great, although I still might look to seek out a metal or plastis waterproof box to store them in my pocket, and when I go to light a cigar or a cigarette, it just looks cool to he able to strike them on pretty much anything abrasive.

I researched American-made best matches and found that these UCO matches, though made in Chile, were rated best. So far, I’ve not needed more than a single match to light a fire. I ask quite a bit of a match.

Strike anywhere matches are hard to find. At least here in California. I havent seen them since I was a kid. Fun novelty item. And I dont even smoke anymore. He seems better than the other brand thats built in the United States.

But none of them are like they used to be in the old days, like the Ohio Bluetip.

We sell a lot of cigars and some guests prefer to light using matches. These were an inexpensive solution to that request. There are so many matches in this case I chuckle every now and again when I see the 3/4 full case sitting in the back.

It will be years before we get through them. They are not the poorly made ones where the tips strip off or smear. We are a higher end facility and I have no issue handing this product to a guest for their use.

I was absolutely in LOVE with these bracelets when I saw them and I LOVED the story with each one. Before purchasing I did read they were gold filled which to me is no problem. I have had these bracelets for about a month and they have all tarnished so bad and quickly.
