20 Best Lotion For Razor Burn (2023 Updated)

No real complaints about this stuff other than the price. Fortunately, it is quite concentrated so the bottle should last quite a while. After a month the bottle is still about 3/4 full. I’m not a big fan of fragrance-heavy products so this was a great choice.

There is a very faint chemical smell to it that dissipates quickly after application. There’s nothing in it that causes irritation, either, especially if you happen to cut yourself. Similar to my praise for the lack of fragrance, this is also not a greasy product.

I have tried a few aftershaves in the past that made your face look oily for an hour or two after application — not so with this product. I wish they had included some sun protection but that’s not really a deal-breaker.

Lab series Australia is underrated and underrepresented. They have it piled up in stores without representation or people who have knowledge. Bad inventory. This is by far top 4 best men’s range beside Biotherm and Shisado.

Others aren’t even worth a look w the exception of Latcome and La Prairie which are in a different price range. What I’m talking about are brands that have entire ranges and that are commercially obtainable, easily and economically.

Working with Erika Babin as my stylist for the past two years has been life changing I really appreciate all the products she recommends and am glad to be getting rid of the trash and chemicals abs unnatural products that are harmful to me and my skin.

I was very surprised to read the poor review of this product; I had suffered from “barber burn” for many years until I attended a shaving seminar and got the down low on the intricacies of shaving. Not going to get into a whole thing here but you need to start with a beard oil to soften and clean the beard, then a top rate alcohol free shaving cream (Jack Black makes an awesome Supreme Lather Shave cream) and of course you need a new or newer blade (sorry 4 or 5 is about the max uses you can get out of a quality blade depending on your beard).

Follow up with a quality after shave balm like this product and voila! As I said, I use this product along with one other on a rotational basis and it works very well for my skin type. A little goes a long way and a container should last about 2 months of shaving three times a week.

I’ve been using Jack Black products for the past couple of months and so far I’ve been enjoying them. They are a bit pricey in my opinion, but the products will last. I’m guessing at least 6 months. I mainly use this Post Shave Cooling Gel for my head.

I shave my head once a week and this works great. It’s a little slimy at first but dries quickly. I know some people complained about it, but get a better soap to wash your hands. I would recommend this to a friend, for sure.

I’m looking forward to trying out other products.

The Jack Black Post Shave Cooling Gel is a satisfying product that feels good overall after shaving. The only drawback to the product is the sort of “sticky” feeling that it leaves after using. Perhaps that is the nature of gels.

Personally I prefer the more clean and smooth unsticky feeling of a cream based post shave cooling product.

I never leave reviews for anything but this stuff…. blew my mind to the point I felt the need to rave about this product. To get to the point, yes buy it, it’s 100000% worth the price tag. I get the WORST razor burn, cysts, ingrown hairs, redness, and soreness when I shave down south, to the point I would not be intimate with my partner for 1-2 weeks after shaving.

I have purchased just about every single product on the market and the only thing they did, was make these issues more severe, except this product. I noticed immediate results, no redness, a significant decrease in ingrowns(I could count them on ONE hand!!), and no soreness.

Every single side effect from shaving…. gone in the blink of an eye. If you stuck around and read to this point, go get in the car and get your hands on this product, you will be so thankful you did.

Ohhh, my poor legs before I found this stuff! I exfoliated pre-shave, I moisturized daily, I did everything I could, and I still got razor burn. I switched to an epilator and it was a little bit better, but then I got ingrown hairs.

My legs were a mess! They looked like hamburger. I spent some time researching and trying different products, and finally found this stuff. When I began using it, the skin on my legs FINALLY started to heal.

I still can’t get away with shaving, but if I put this on post-epilation, I don’t get NEARLY as many ingrown hairs. My legs don’t look picture-perfect, but they look a lot better! It has a slight alcohol smell and can sting a little bit if you have any razor burn, but I find it to be moisturizing.

If you don’t have any razor burn, it can feel quite soothing. It’s actually a little bit oily-feeling. A small amount goes a long way, too – just a splash on a cotton pad will usually do an entire leg.

It has a slight scent, just in case you’re sensitive to that. The scent doesn’t seem to irritate the skin on my legs, though, and my skin is pretty sensitive. I actually have a hard time finding it sometimes because it sells out everywhere and I’m too cautious to buy beauty products off of Amazon (I’ve gotten counterfeits before).

I dread running out of it, though, so I’ll go to great lengths to restock!.

This stuff is magic. I only use it on my bikini area because that’s where I have most of my problems with irritation and razor bumps but this has literally saved my life. It’s 100% worth the money and it lasts forever.

NO MORE INGOWN HAIRS. I’ve been waiting to write a review for after shave for so so long. At first, I was going to review it after I finish the bottle, but not I can’t wait anymore. I’ve been using this for a month and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

I usually shave 3 times a week because I need to do at home IPL laser. Before I use this, I have a lot of bumps, ingrown hairs, and discoloration due to shaving. Everything is gone after only a month of use.

No more discoloration. I spray this to the bikini line, knees, and armpits two times a day after I take a shower. It takes a long time to see a result, but I can’t finally get rid of the ingrown hair.

The smell is alright and there’re a lot of products. Totally recommend for anyone who has the same problem.

This is an aftershave moisturizer that eliminates and prevents chafing, razor burn, razor bumps and irritation from shaving. It works!!!! It’s a spray so it applies easily, does not burn and does what it claims.

My bikini lines have never been happier. I gave it 4 stars because I’m not a fan of the smell, reminds me of a light tea tree scent. I do recommend this especially if you struggle with bumps and irritation.

The scent of the new “green” Proraso aftershave lotion doesn’t begin to compare with the previous “amber” lotion. I got many compliments on the old formula, but this new scent disappears quickly after starting out with an odd scent that’s hard to describe other than — unappealing.

It improves after a few minutes, but then disappears. The feel is about the same as the old amber formula, with a bit more menthol. Overall, if both were still available I’d choose the amber formula over this one every time.

The new green formula will probably have me switching brands of aftershave. I have also tried the new Proraso balm, and found its scent utterly unappealing.

Love it. Got one of the small bottles to try and loved the scent from the moment I removed the cap, and then I discovered a few drops on my undershirt and the scent lingers nicely throughout the day, though since aftershaves and colognes act differently depending on body chemistry I don’t know if this is common for Proraso Red Aftershave or if I’m just lucky.

Removes shaving irritation and leaves an ever so slight sleek residue, almost like conditioner when you rinse it out of your hair, and then have to rinse it off the rest of your person, but much more pleasant, and then that sensation fades completely away as the aftershave dries.

When I saw the barber size and realized you get 4x the product at roughly 2x the price of a small bottle, I feared the savings indicated a proportionate reduction in quality, but nonetheless ordered a bottle to try.

To my delight I found no reduction in quality. This product is wonderful, and this size option is truly a bargain. I highly recommend it.

The scent and formula have changed along with the new bottle design. I loved the previous version; the reformulation may work for some, but not for me, because of the new scent. Scent is very subjective, but here is my take on the changes: The old one smelled exactly like the green soap with strong Eucalyptus and Menthol note, which would quickly evaporate during the day – all features I liked.

The new one does not smell like the “green” soap at all, even if those 2 ingredients are still listed, it reminds me more of the Nivea Originals Aftershave Balm. I also found the new scent to linger longer and the balm not to provide the same cooling sensation as the old version.

Altogether it’s a dealbreaker for me and I will not buy again.

I get razor bumps and ingrown hairs after shaving my bikini area. I’ve tried every kind of razor, shaving cream and other ‘no bumps’ cream but nothing compares to how well this stuff works. It doesn’t smell the greatest but it works! I highly recommend this product.

So I have super sensitive skin. After I get my wax I use this twice a day for a couple of days then use it once a day after that. It works really well. Surprisingly well! Very happy with the purchase.

Seriously the best summer essential to be swimsuit ready! Saw a noticeable difference after 2 days of use. The smell is expected with Tea Tree Oil so this was not a turn-off for me.

Absolutely LOVE this aftershave balm. A little on the thicker side (wish it was a tad thinner) this aftershave leaves a nice very refreshing cool feeling and smells amazing. I’ve now switched over almost entirely to the cremo line.

I’ve been wet shaving for a little over a year now. They always say to find the right cream and post shave to fit your needs. Between the cooling shave cream and this balm, I’ve never been more pleased to have my face freezing when I finish shaving.

The arctic blast I get from this is perfect to soothe after a refreshing shave. The scent lasts for quite some time and is not overpowering. My only wish is that stores in my area would carry this, but there is always availability on Cremo’s website.

I tried Cremo Post Shave Balm for the first time today. Having been a longtime Cremo Shave Cream user, my expectations for this product was high. I wasn’t disappointed. As others have mentioned, the scent is masculine and there is a great cooling sensation after a minute or so after application.

WOW! I never leave reviews on target. com, but let me tell you- the directions say within 48 hours, your bumps will go away. they didn’t lie. With it being summer time and constantly shaving my bikini line, I always have red bumps around the edges especially right before my inner thighs which is unsightly when you’re wearing a cute bikini! It’s now 72 hours since I started using the product & I have NO BUMPS!! At first when I tried this product I was very concerned that it will break my face out worse because when I apply this product it had a very exclusive dating burning effect to my face. But that was just the product working its magic is what I realized when I tried this product.

So I wouldn’t recommend you use this product if you have any open Cuts or any razor damage and stuff like that because it will burn the area badly but it won’t do any harsh damage besides a little redness if your face is sensitive like mine.

I’ve been using this for years! Way before the product packaging got the face lift and sleek look. When I want the closest shave possible- I shave UP which everyone knows is a big no no if you want to avoid ingrown hairs! This stuff prevents any from happening.

It has alcohol so if you have any nicks, you will FEEL it! I have even recommended this to my friend (female) who waxes down there and shaves her legs and she says it does help prevent ingrowns and she is a faithful buyer as well.

I have had a trouble spot for a long time on the sides of my knees which tend to get lots of ingrown hairs and unsightly little bumps. After using this product daily for about 2 weeks, I have noticed a huge improvement as almost all of those little bumps have disappeared! Great product for ingrown hair bumps. Firstly, Jack Black is an exceptional. Began using Black Jack as recommended to me from a local Cosmetic store in Washington, DC. This prodcut works great for removing dark spots and treatment due to ingrown hair and hair bumps.

As an Afro American, this product does a great job! I use several other Jack Black products and absolutely recommend the Jack Black manufacturer.

I’ve been using razor burn relief ultra for years. I’ve tried all the others. Nothing beats this product for razor burn. I’m particularly sensitive along my neckline and quite frequently get razor burn in that area.

No redness after using this product. I use it after every shave.

I picked this up recently as I was looking for a better aftershave product. Admittedly, Lab Series advertise this as a razor burn relief lotion. I am always cautious of the phrase ‘lotion’ as that tends to suggest something alcohol-based, which my face usually protests against.

I was pleasantly surprised though to see that this product is free of oil, does not have a significant or harmful amount of alcohol and really is gentle on the skin. I suffer from a dry/oil combination skin problem resulting in sensitivity but also ingrown hairs (razor bumps).

After just one wearing with this product, I have managed to get a clearer complexion overall, so I am very happy with my purchase. I am really keen on the long term benefits of using this soap and indeed seeing how it works when paired with certain shaving soaps and creams.

Nonetheless, at first glance, this product is well deserved of a big thumbs up and will urge all readers to at least try this product out if they have certain skin conditions/issues.

Out of all the aftershaves and ‘burn relief’ products out there, I actually liked this one. No menthol, very little alcohol (it’s almost last in the ingredients list), no harmful oils and no peppermint or eucalyptus.

My skin is combination dry/oily. It sounds weird but that is the jist of it. I bought this product on a recommendation and it works really well. I would advise only a dab is needed, no larger than a five pence coin, to cover the entire shaved area.

Apply to dry skin after shaving and massage in well. Once it is dry (it will take 5-10mins), you may need to apply a moisturiser, but for me, this hasn’t been necessary so far. If you’ve suffered with a burning sensation after shaving, ingrown hairs, dry skin or other shaving related problems, do give this a shot.

For reference, I shave with a traditional straight razor (known as a “cut-throat” blade).

This stuff is the truth. Many products claim to do what this does. I’m so happy with it, I just bought five bottles just in case Walmart runs out. Having curly hair, I often get ingrown hairs and razor bumps.

How is nobody talking about the false bottoms in the jar? I only noticed after using this product for 1. 5 weeks and had actually reached the false bottom in the jar. Basically where it’s placed you are only receiving half a jar of product.

That’s not exactly a small false bottom. After looking at the weight written. I’ll have to buy another jar to see of the weight is actually correct because I dont trust that either. Overall this stuff works great as others have said.

However, the fact that they are more than willing to pull one over on their customers has me fired up. I won’t be buying another after I get a weight on this new one. , hell I might just bring my scale to the store just do I dont throw away more money.

There are plenty of small businesses who probably have a better formula at that, that would appreciate my support. Bottom line is they are cheats, idk how anyone can support this type of behavior.

Highly highly highly highly recommend this. I have had issues since I first started shaving many years ago. Different razors or style and sensitivity. Nair. Wax. Cream. Gel. I hid my legs cause it was ugly and painful.

This stuff is truly amazing. Burns a little on the bumps but gone within minutes. Bumps gone within the hour or less red. Reduces bumps even more and prevents redness the longer you use it. A little bit goes a loooooooong way.

I just wish the container was bigger especially for summer use since I use it everyday. This brand needs to come out with a shave cream now. I have thick hair and multiple hairs in one. I only write reviews if something is by far amazing or horrible.

I used to love this company product, BUT THEN THEY GOT RID OF WHAT WORKS!!!! I could swear by the LIQUID formula version, but now that’s gone, and I’m left with this creamy mica garbage! I’m clogging my pores with some thick lotion type trash.

The liquid was PERFECT!!!!!!! WHY WOULD THEY CHANGE IT?!?!?! Don’t want no gel, no lotion, no cream!!! Bring the liquid back ASAP!!!.

I have very fair skin and I was that girl who would get really embarrassed showing up to the beach with razor burn on my bikini line. so much so that I might as well have gone hairy because I was just as conscious of the burn as I would be hair! This product changed my life.

It has reduced my razor burn by what I would estimate to be about 95% and I the same with ingrown hairs. I have a job that requires me to walk around and even do strenuous activities. Usually I would avoid shaving my bikini area in fear that this friction would give me uncomfortable and unsightly razor burn.

Now, I just use Tendskin and I don’t have to worry about that happening. Pro tip: When I shave and maybe 1-2 days after, I will use this alongside my CeraVe salicylic acid face wash on my pubic area.

This combo really protects me from ingrown hairs and discomfort. I also don’t use a moisturizer after shaving anymore, but instead wait until the hair is growing back to moisturize the area.

Razor bumps, ingrown hairs and dark spots are annoying. Waxing along helps with those problem because it exfoliates the layers of your skin and the Tend Skin Solution makes it even better. I can’t even explain the results I’ve had with waxing and using the Tend Skin along with that.

I wouldn’t recommend buying if you still shave because I don’t think it’ll work as well but you could try it. Tend skin either way, does exactly what it says it does and it lasts a long time. Few drops here and there everyday and those bumps would be gone.

I just recently found out about this product so I decided to give it a try. I have always suffered from horrible razor burn, ingrown hairs and keratosis pilaris. especially on my legs. I’ve always been super self conscious.

Trust me when I say. this product works miracles! I use with “the ordinary” glycolic acid toner and “the body works” Shea butter moisturizer. These three products work hand in hand and have treated all of the above.

Compared ro the actual packaging that the product is sold in, you get very little product. To myself personally this is very a very deceiving way to sale; ya know, people are more apt to buy the product if they think they are getting more type thing.

Plus my boyfriends bumps from shaving his head have not cleared up any at all in the last 2 purchases of this product.

Just a tiny dab (just a touch of the top of my pinky finger) seems to clear up razor bumps in a day or two. Rather pleased with the results. I’ve had great results on my neck and the back of my hairline as well.

This stuff is absolutely incredible! For me and my sensitive skin, nothing has ever worked on my razor bumps and regardless of what method I used they always popped up. Since using Tend Skin, I have had no irritation.

I will use it right after I shave and then once in the morning and once before I go to bed to maintain. It definitely smells medicinal like rubbing alcohol but it is worth it.

I wanted a pre-shave to go with my electric razor. This seemed to be the best I could find offered by my go-to retailer/shipper, Walmart. It was a two-fer. I didn’t NEED two for a testy run. Fortunately each of the two-fer bottles were rather short/small.

Afta made up for the bottle height by making the squeeze bottles out of the most rigid, un-squeezable plastic known to this man. As a stroke survivor my right hand is peachy my left had is. meh! This makes squeezing with the right hand and catching with the right hand.

interesting. Back to the product: I LIKE the smell. I like the feel on my face before and after shaving. It seems to me that there might be an after-shaving skin anti-irritant and/or soothing element to this lotion.

Afta Pre-Electric is a very effective pretreatment prior to electric shaver use. Shaving is so much quicker after use of this product The strong aroma of this product however is very strong and may not appeal to everyone.

When you enter a room after applying the product and shaving, the aroma of the product is noticeable to others. This is why I gave it 4 stars. I find the aroma very positive but strong but others may find it overpowering.

I typically wash my face with soap and water after use and there is almost no residual aroma.

I got tired of this product not being on the shelves on my past few trips to Walmart, so I finally came home and bought it online. I’ve been using this product for many years, and I highly recommend it.

I have never had any burning, stinging or irritation on my skin when using it — and you can’t beat the price. You can’t find too many “pre-electric” shave products on the market, but I’ve never really wanted to try another brand since I’m extremely pleased with this pre-electric shave lotion.

I first bought this product at a pharmacy. There is the Shave Gel and the After Shave Bump treatment. Both the Gel and Bump After Shave Treatment are excellent. I am someone who cuts himself every time I shave and razor burn is common.

These products are THE BEST I have ever used. The Bump Patrol aftershave comes in different strengths–Intense, Extra Strength, Original Formula, and Maximum Strength. The only one I could locate in stores was Original, so I ordered the Max Strength thru Amazon.

If you are someone like me who is tired of cuts and burns after every shave, then I truly recommend you try this.

I don’t know what to say other than this stuff really works. It’s funny because I bought it for my head but then didn’t need it for that. I ended up using on my face. I don’t shave my beard, I only trim it but I do keep it at stubble length.

I was getting certain spots on my face that when I would run the trimmer over it, I would see stars. So I figured what the heck I already bought this stuff, let’s give it a whirl. After using it a few times, no more stars.

My only issue is that to me it smells like mustard on your face, but it goes away after like a minute or less, so I don’t care. So now I’ll keep buying it.

ok, I don’t know why anyone would sell a skin product that smells like onions and garlic sauteed in curry. Really, there is absolutely no benifit in this scent for either men or women. However, it works really well.

I’ve been suffering from severe ingrown hairs on my legs for the past 2 years and bought this when I was extremely fed up. it works really well. I can’t use a cotton swap because I’m covering a large area so I pour it in my hands and rub it over my legs.

some of the severe clusters got worse, or appeared to look worse, before they got better. it also brought hair to the surface i wasn’t aware of. I’m 3 weeks in and the bumps have decreased to about 90%.

the deep ingrown hairs that had left scar marks have become active and are healing. there is another brand I will try after I finish this bottle in hopes it smells better. You can’t give up on it and have to stick ot throu but it does work.
