Makes tying on flies a breeze. The smallest flies can be threaded, where as before I couldn’t see the eye let alone thread it. Tying a clinch is super fast and easy. Tying a nail knot is a breeze. The size and shape make it very comfortable to use.

I was disappointed with a couple of the cheap tying devices, but this is worth the extra money.

My oldest brother gifted me one of these after I had a stroke on May 5th. I know us fishermen are known for exaggeration but this is the truth it was taking me anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half to tie one jnot.

With this tool it’s like having an extra hand. Still takes me longer than it probably should, but not nearly as long as it was.

Must have for us big fingered guys tying on small flies to small tippet! Worked great when my hands were cold and with my gloves on. Get two so you can tie a blood knot, I use them to make my own euro leader.

Went out to whip some fish today and had a chance to try the Typro. I have the small fly size. It made tying on the little chironomids was a real pleasure. I normally have a hard time putting the fine tippet material through the bitty eyes on the flies.

I does a great job of tying a clinch not if you lie to use them. most of the battle is just getting the tippet through the eye. A bonus is the very sharp nipper. This one gets five gold stars.

There aren’t many options out there. It isn’t perfect, but it works well

This does make tying some knots much easier, especially for those of us with eyesight not quite as sharp as it once was 😉 The blue one doesn’t cope with small swivels, I think the size below would be better for those.

It does larger (sea) swivels without problem, and links, brilliant for just about any size coarse fishing hooks on the side of the bank, where it excels, as well as smaller sea hooks (1/0 and 2/0). My son and I use these every time we go fishing with eyed rods, they’re better than bits of cork for protecting against accidental hooking while walking and they clip into the ferrules easily.

Only complaint is that over 5 each is a bit expensive, good design that it is.

I use quite brig flys while jigging the larger lakes,,Tarawera and Rotoiti,Okataina. I find the larger model holds the flys better while the smaller flys,smelt type fit well in the smaller model.

First impressions are this product is a cheap bit of plastic,which I know it is a cheap bit of plastic. On using it the concept is very good but I think plastic is the wrong material, metal would be a safer thing to use because tightening the hook knot needs a lot of pulling power and if the plastic splits you have a hook in your finger which is the whole idea of the hook eze.

I am sure another better designed model will be out before long as it is a part of a fishermans tackle box. Good idea,good luck.

I found this a great tool for tying the FG knot when joining braid to heavy fluoro leader. The quality is very good & it works as advertised & as shown in various YouTube videos. This tool makes it so easy to tie what I find a difficult knot to tie.

The FG knot is the only reliable knot I’ve found that allows heavy wind-on fluoro leaders to travel smoothly through guides when casting, but it must be regularly pulled tight when tying, even with this tool.

Note that the FG knot doesn’t work well with light leaders compared to the size of the braid. It is a heavy leader to braid knot, although I’ve had success with 20lb fluoro leader to 20lb Kairiki8 braid, but with the same braid & a lighter leader it is hit & miss (this is through no fault of the tool, it is how the knot works).

I was new to using braid having recently upgraded all my fishing gear, and had always run straight mono without a leader, and always used a swivel to join a trace/rig. I was a little daunted to learn how to tie knots with braid and leader but gave this tool a go.

It takes a little bit of getting used to it, but there are a couple of good YouTube videos to help. After two attempts I was tying really good tidy knots from 6lb braid+leader up to 20lb braid+leader.

I actually enjoy using the tool and carry it when I go out on the kayak for knots on the run.

After watching various videos of the FG knot and then coming across the tool it was a no-brainer Tool works great however some more straightforward instructions would help eventually found some in english on the nest and have laminated them.

sorry for a novice a book on 50 knots but only very basics on rigs is not that helpful. Maybe longer term. Title misleading.

This was a present for a neiphew that loves the outdoors especially fishing.

This wire might be good for other uses, but it didn’t work at all for my purpose. I wanted to make wire leaders to cast flies among bluefish. This wire springs back straight so it wouldn’t hold in a haywire twist at all.

I tried one or two knots I’d tie with regular mono line but the 35 lb. wire was too thick to really tighten down well.

This is a great leader when fishing for bass in toothy waters. I have caught a lot of muskies while fishing for bass. The leader also resists abrasions when dragging a jig on the bottom over rocks. Knot 2 Kinky is so thin that the bass don’t feel a difference from it compared to fishing line.

I caught literally 100’s of Northern Pike on the same leader. Most were 22 to 29 inches. Some were 30 to 36 inches. I had absolutely no problems! I recommend it highly. It is some what expensive, but it is very flexible and small diameter.

I always forget what knot to use and how to tie it. These cards are pure gold. I keep them attached to my purse with a biner so I always have them. The cards also had a few knots I have never done before.

It looks like these will be durable and last a long time. I took one star away because it didn’t come with a biner. Knots included are: bowline, tattling hitch, stopper knot, square knot, water knot, timber hitch, buntline hitch, rolling and clove hitch, constrictor knot, half hitch, sheet bind, prussic knot, double fisherman’s, cleat hitch, truckers hitch, figure eight, mooring hitch, butterfly knot, and bowline on a bight.

Only recommendations would be to add a few cards about lashings, if that is possible, and most of all a biner. This would be an excellent resource for a scout or avid camper.

Handy item to have in your kit. Light writ and doesn’t take up much room. Has all essential knots referenced just in case you forget.

I know how to tie several knots, but lets face it. there have been times when I needed to tie something off in a strange manner, but I couldn’t because I couldn’t recall how to tie the required knot.

On occassion, I’d find myself trying to remember some step critical to a knot’s performance, “Do you go over the bight or under?. Hmmm. ” I needed something quick, easy, light weight, & durable. Over the years, I’ve owned several books & booklets on knot tying.

Unfortunately, some gave instructions and illustrations that were so complex I couldn’t even tie the knots I already knew! Moreover, paper books are not practical in the outdoors. However, this card set is different.

This is the best tool to tie an FG Knot from braid to mono,. Snell a hook or just tie an Orvisknot. It hides the point and can be fastened to your belt loop or top pocket button hole. I have 3 large red ones for saltwater hooks & 2 yellow for small freshwater hooks.

I havent actually had a chance to use it but it came quick and very pleased with it and I cant wait to try it. Ive heard he work great, I hope they do cause I get tired of cutting myself on hooks trying to tie the lines.

I bought this set of knot making instuctions when I wanted to learn how to make stronger and better knots. Worked out great. When I forget, I have a handy reference tool at my finger tips. The instructions are eay to follow and the cards are palstic.

The cards are about the size of a credit card which makes for easy storage in your box or pocket. A must have.

It has a lot of very useful information on tying knots for various types of fishing.

I have tried several different tools and this is the one I am sticking with. I had the Large Tie Fast tool and loved it but still had to carry snips and eye needle. When I saw this I had to try it. This is the must have tool for on the water.

Light, easy to use, and sharp nippers. Take the few minutes to learn to use the tying tool if you aren’t familiar with it. Watch a couple youtube videos, they really simplify what may seem a little confusing in the written directions.

The tying tool makes good knots simple. This is definitely something I would buy again if I ever lose mine.

I love this tool for three reasons. First, I use a lot of braid and fluorocarbon and the razor sharp clippers allow me to cut the tag end very close and without fraying. Secondly, I suffer from psoriasis and several years ago I caught poison Ivy on my hands.

Once the poison ivy went away, the psoriasis moved all over my fingers and joints (there’s some kind of fancy name for that condition but I can’t remember the name much less to try and spell it). It took two years to solve that problem but it left my fingers with virtually no feeling.

Have you ever tried to tie a 100% fishing knot in the middle of a river with virtually no feeling in your fingers. it’s tough. This tool allows me to easily tie several very strong knots in 5 to 10 seconds that normally would have taken me a minute or two of fumbling around.

excellent the best braided loops on the market

Not a good line. Frays and breaks way to easy. I actually did a test recently I took this line in 14lbs and some old berkley vanish 10lbs I’ve had laying around put tension on line and ran scissors over it till the line broke I did this 3x each and the berkley held longer every time.

I really didn’t expect that and I’ve gave the yozuri a fair chance until that. I will prob be throwing thw yozuri out or give it away. Don’t buy this line if your fishing rocks or stumps or just expect to retire every 3 casts lol.

I purchased this line due to its affordability, yet I was pleasantly surprised at its performance. Although it was only rated as 10 pounds, I landed a monster 14 pound channel catfish with no problem at all (other than the fact that I almost snapped my rod).

I was even fishing from a pier at the time, so it hung in the air writhing for several seconds until I was able to lift it over the railing. I have a new favorite manufacturer!.

I use this to create a short leader with a dropper loop to which I directly attach lures – so I don’t have deal with when to use snaps, or snap swivels. The dropper loop on Flouro is much easier to work with than braid when switching lures.

Zo-Zuri leader material is some of the best on the market in my opinion.

Great little book that helped me remember how to tie knots. I would recommend that instead of this look for the next book up in the series that also has knots and rigs in it.

I’ve been using the same slip knot (5 turns then back through the hole) since I was a kid: 73 now. Mostly it worked but occasionally failed and weakened the line. It had its limitations and so I wanted something better.

At my age fat-finger shakes and ageing eyesight make things more challenging. So. “Tie-Fast Knot -Tying tool ” it was. And I am so glad. This tool improves with practice so do not give up on it. now I am tying braid to nylon, heavy duty nylon to trace line and attachment to swivels and hooks is is a doddle.

I am fairly new to the sport, and mastering the various knots has not come easily to me. I have been baffled by various guides and friends, watching how easily they tie knots and handle light tippet, and being taught how to tie a nail knot by your ten-year-old niece isn’t exactly an ego building experience for an aspiring fisherman.

Very easy and simple to use. Makes consistent size loops every time. Have tried the “shepherds crook” type of their but could not get on with it. This doesn’t look much for the money, but once used a few times you will appreciate it’s value.
