20 Best Lock For Storage Container (2023 Updated)

I now have several of this size and plan to purchase more, it holds a large amount in a compact stackable container. For example, one bin now holds over 3lbs of cornmeal with room left for a scoop. I’m reorganising my store cupboard and am so pleased with how well the clip-lock system on this highly reliable space-saver brand keeps my items fresh-dry-bug-free that I am more than happy to spend a bit more to have the brand exclusively in my cupboard.

I have one container over four years old – looks and functions like new, I love this brand!.

Very happy with the Lock & Lock 1. 8L (HPL813) rectangular containers. Strong hard-wearing plastic and airtight with the rubber sealing rings in the lids and the four securing clips. Handy size for the kitchen cupboards and shelves.

I like to keep my flours in their packaging and was looking for airtight storage containers that will hold each 1. 5kg flour bag still in its packaging. These 1. 8L HPL813 containers did just that with a tight fit.

One of my unopened 1. 5kg flour bag was a couple of cms too tall for the container, but I was able to squeeze the other two unopened 1. 5kg flour bags (Sainsburys plain flour, and Carrs w/meal flour) into two of the four containers that I’d purchased.

The 1. 8L rectangular container is also a good size for storing of other dry goods (up to 1kg decanted depending on the product) such as pasta (fusilli, rigatoni, macaroni etc), rice, cous-cous, beans/pulses, and of course baking ingredients like sugar, dried fruits, nuts etc.

We use these for any time we need to store food! I’m sure the name has changed but they still do a great job. They are bigger than our old ones – which isn’t a problem – but just as good! Great for taking a packed lunch to work or school.

They also get used to take food on a fishing trip, the smaller ones are used to take tea, coffee, sugar etc when we go camping. All in all, very useful food boxes!.

Off to the wrong start with this purchase. No instructions, 2 calls to specialist. Once I got with Justin, he was able to set things straight and was extremely helpful. We discussed the disconnects and said he would follow up.

These locks are very cheap compared to previous ones I’ve purchased from Thule. You have to struggle a ton to get the keys in and out. Disappointed.

Dont get me wrong = these are great products BUT Ive never seen any advice from the makers about how to put the top back on. the ONLY fault Ive experienced has been, I suspect, entirely of my own making.

I have, on occasion, found myself trying to re clip (seal the lid) onto a container with one of the clips locked down into the closed position – if you do that you strain the already secured clip when you try to clip others down.

The net result is, eventually, that the clip you have abused by straining it, fails at its hinge. If however you remember to replace the lid on to the container carefully, making sure that all of the securing clips are unfastened and that the lid is on square and sitting comfortably on its blue sealing strip and then AND ONLY THEN fasten all of the clips down to seal the container you increase the working life of the container AND it is MUCH MUCH easier to secure the lid and all of the clips properly.

Lock n Lock is the best quality of any storage containers I’ve used, including Tupperware or Rubbermaid. Easy to open and close. Lock n Lock keeps foods fresh and safe, making sure nothing spoils rapidly and able to not waste anything.

There are other products out there, but spend the money, you will save in the long run by preserving your things and your containers will last. Being able to purchase them from Walmart on line is a bonus, getting the storage containers at a reasonable price.

Tidying up my cupboards and fridge and am using these for storing dried pasta and cheeses. Used to buy sets of containers from the supermarket or Argos and find that most of them were too small for anything.

Am now buying for specific purposes and paying a bit more for durability. I will be back.

Lock & Lock 4 Litre food container put to another use. I couldn’t store my washing powder away in the small cupboard I have, but now with this container i can store a whole box of powder and a bit out of sight and its kept dry.

Perfect!.

I bought several of these containers to do meal prepping ahead. It helps to have meals done already when doing busy shift work. Less waste too. The containers go in the freezer, then into the oven or microwave with the lid removed.

They stack really well. Glass is better for you than plastic for reheating. Easy to transport to work – no leaks. Easy to eat your meal out of the container too for a TV dinner or work break. Everten packed it really well and postage was as good as it could be in the Covid crisis.

We have purchased these before. (July 2020 I think). The only downside currently is that you cannot buy the individual sizes of pots. you have to buy the sets (except for the red colour size 1. 1L). When I contacted Joseph Joseph on chat, they were very helpful and gave me a discount so buying the set was less of a sting! They do stack, when first purchased the lids can be tough to click together & separate.

after a few uses this becomes easier. We have put home made stews, curry, chilli and the pots do not stain (even after multiple uses). They don’t retain or have any lingering smell. They have been in the freezer, microwave and dishwasher several times and have retained their shape.

Definitely recommend.

I bought this to replace the previous design as some of the lids no longer fit properly and thus they leak. No I have not put them in the oven (microwave, electric or gas) and neither have I put them in a dishwasher as we do not have one.

They have only been washed in hand hot soapy water. Anyway now that I’ve got that out of the way, JJ offered me a 20% discount so I bought these as replacements. The sealing arrangment is much more tolerant of slight differences in lid size so I shouldn’t have the same problems over years of use.

these are great! I don’t know what the reviews about they don’t snap together are about. Yeah you have to push a little harder that’s because they create a really good seal. I bought three sets of these and they’re the only containers that I use now.

I like that they are color coded they don’t have to go searching for the right size lid. I like that they clean easily and if you have to put something in there that is greasy it doesn’t stain the inside of them.

Very pleased I found these Lock & Lock dispensers as my kitchen cupboards were in need of reorganisation. A well designed and made solution to the problem of different sized cereal boxes not fitting in the available kitchen cabinet space.

The only reservation I had was the volume of these storage boxes, i. e. what does 3. 9l equate to in dry volume? And the answer is: one dispenser easily took an entire 750g box of bran flakes (with some room to spare), and another swallowed up an entire 1.

5kg bag of porridge oats. An investment purchase, but well worth it in my opinion now. And Harts of Stur had them for sale at the best price I could find too.

With the four sides fully locked cereals stay as fresh as when purchased. The pour lid on top and the grooved hand hold area make it a perfect container for serving your favourite cereal. Lock and lock sides easy to use with a positive click so you know the contents are secure if you were to drop it.

Dishwasher safe.

It’s worth mentioning that this is 3. 9L not 3L as stated – I already had a 3. 9L one and was worried that this wouldn’t match but it does – it’s the same and it says 3. 9L on the label. Really good boxes, easy to open and close and surprisingly big – fits a whole 700g box of cereal in easily.

The first one is a few years old now and still as good as new. Three next to each other fit perfectly on an Ikea Kallax shelf. Definitely recommend.

Not brewed coffee! Instant coffee. I am very particular about my coffee, so much so that I’ll drink GOOD instant coffee than burnt, watery, stale stuff from many hotels and unknown coffee shops. So, when I travel, I use the smallest size to bring along my favorite instant coffee and the mid-size one for non-dairy creamer.

Just add water! Not having to search for good coffee while traveling is so nice, thanks to these lovely containers.

Got it to store baking cups. I got tired of what ended up being a stack of loose baking cups in the cupboard. Some brands come in plastic containers, but the containers seemed to always crack/break. This keeps them contained and protected.

I discovered this product (the 13oz water-proof cannister with a screw lid) while searching for a need for our two Yamaha Jet Skis — YEP JET SKIS! The Jet Skis have a compartment that is used to store small items (keys, lines,, etc.

). While it has a drain in it to drain of any water that might get in it — it is NOT water-proof. OUR NEED was to find a container that would FIT in the limited space and that would be “water-proof” to protect such things as cell phone,s smart phones, etc.

This dozen egg container is perfect for camping as it keeps the eggs safe & even if at the bottom of Esky in melted ice they all stay in tact. I have gifted these to friends for the van or their boat.

I bought this months ago and was excited to finally get it! I bought this for our camper, and it is exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy plastic and locks on all 4 sides. I would definitely buy this again.

You see this kind of lock all over, on shop shutters, lock-ups and the like, and the reason is undoubtedly because the shackle [the moving bolt part] is well guarded against attacks from hacksaws & bolt cutters.

As long as you’ve got the right size lock, it’ll be very difficult to get at the shackle. Also, as there’s no spring holding the lock shut, it can’t be shimmed, as you often can with U-shaped shackle.

Some say these locks are no good, but they’re probably talking about knock-offs, as there’s plenty of those around, and a lack of quality is why the lock fails. Abus are the original designers of the puck-shaped lock, and this one cost me 16.

The cheapest lock that looks like this is 4 on eBay, obviously, that’s not Abus. The extra money goes on a hardened steel shackle that’ll provide a hell of a problem for anyone with a hacksaw, better construction [you can probably take a hammer to the cheaper locks], and better pin setting.

I can’t pick my lock due to deep biting for the middle pins, and I’ve picked somebody’s modern front door before! So in summation, I recommend these Abus locks, you can get better security, but for a lot more money.

Don’t buy a cheap lock. And most in the know will recommend that you don’t buy a Master brand lock.

I had been struggling to get hold of some original vanvault locks needed a pair of similar of replacement locks keyed alike. Unfortunately screwfix dont sell them in pairs with the same keys, so I got them from an internet site.

The abus locks fit well, seem quite good and turn smoothly. The keys are ok, but nowhere near as good as the original vanvault branded keys. They are better than kasp lock keys which I have brought from screwfix previously.

Good product but slightly deceived by the picture against the actual size. Quoting 800ml is not really sufficient detail. it needs internal and or external length, width, height. I took a chance but after delivery i should have gone for the 1000ml boxes.

Obvious improvement to the website would be to clearly show full dimensions.

I love the products made by this company. I have them in the pantry, fridge and freezer and their numbers keep on growing. These particular ones are just the right size for sandwiches, a couple of helpings of berry fruits or to keep a pack of ham in once opened.

The only drawback to these particular boxes is that they are straight sided and do not nest when empty, but considering that they will be in almost constant use, this is not much of a problem.

I used an infamous marine series padlock in a coastal environment, where ordinary steel rusts in months and the infam lasted me for 10 years before it needed replacing. Consequently , I would use no other, particularly as they are not expensive.

This goes for any size of ifam marine padlock.

So far these locks have performed well, no sign of rusting and they look robust. It’s a great shame however that I was unable to find an equivalent made in the UK.

This locker overall exceeded my expectations. It is slim but pretty tall, sturdy & has more space than I thought it would. The blue color of the doors is very bright, cheery & it makes it easy to add this item to a bedroom/toy room etc & match themes! I love how the blue seems to pop from the white outer shell.

Being that it is a quadruple locker, I expected the compartments to be sorter compared to the double lockers, but each locker quad compartments is very spacious! There are coat/purse hooks on the back of each compartment too! In my images, it is filled with random, heavier objects I have around the house to ensure it was sturdy & measure by eye the space provided within each locker compartment.

It is now in it’s permanent place in my home & holding some personally valuable items & important paperwork. There are two keys provided for each door, both the keys & lock are numbered a different number each so you know which key will open which door.

The locks turn to lock/unlock with ease, but always make sure to hold the door shut as your relocking the door to ensure that it is fully locked. There is also the ability to add a combination lock to each door for added security, which is great! The only reason I am giving a four star rating, is simply because of the assembly process.

The instruction book is a nice size & has big pictures & font, however, the instructions are written in a slightly confusing manor & the pieces themselves are not labeled, so it took myself & my friend a few attempts before the assembly was completed properly (I’m not handy lol).

I will not be anchoring this to my wall, so I can not speak on how those assemble/hold. But I know all needed tools (except a drill obviously) are included & the back half of the instruction booklet has to do with connecting multiple units & properly anchoring them, but like I said, since this is for personal, at home use, I will use it free standing against a wall.

This is a wonderful item that is secure, safe & very sturdy that many people can use for multiple reasons!.

So I got this for a few reasons, the main one being for the kids and their playroom. I got mine in the color blue but you can choose from a variety of colors as well as the number of individual compartments, I chose 6 compartments each has its own lock&key.

You can buy your own combination or key lock if you wanted to but we don’t need that being as it’s in our home. Our children each have their own arts and crafts supplies and we have little arguments about whose is whose or he used mine and broke it so I have given them each their own compartment that their siblings can’t access.

They have also chosen to add their piggy banks in there as well which to me was a cute idea, and it puts an end to the bickering over those small details. My wife loves to color and draw and she has expensive materials that the kids want to get their hands on, she also has adult coloring books and doesn’t want the kids just scribbling on all the pages because some of those books are 10 bucks or more.

So she too has her own compartment! We love it and are so happy we got one. There are so many more things and places that could be used and done with this and as our family grows and changes we could use this for sports things and keep it in the garage or shed.

We could use this in our home gym downstairs to store gym necessities. We could use it if the garage for my expensive tools. My wife said she could use it in her office and keep important things like tax papers or files in it and locked up so no one can just see them laying around.

We might be purchasing one really soon because they ate so versatile and have many purposes!.
