20 Best Litter Box For Cats That Kick Litter (2023 Updated)

Oh, I wish, wish I had read the reviews before I bought this litter box. I had purchased “Nature’s Miracle” items in the past and liked them, but this box? This box came with two stickers–one on the inside bottom of the box, and one on the outside by the opening.

The one inside? Impossible to remove. I have used everything: Vinegar and water, soap and water, rubbing alcohol, even peanut butter. Terrible, terrible sight, this is. I got so discouraged trying to remove the bottom inside sticker that I didn’t even try to get the one off on the outside of the box.

So here the box sits, with a sticker that constantly reminds me of how hideous the “Nature’s Miracle” sticker is/stickers are. I just now ordered a new box–and it’s cheaper. I hope I don’t have the same sticker disaster.

I would uncheck the box that asks if I recommend this item with this review, but the box won’t “uncheck. ” Seriously. Okay, enough about this box. Just want to let other folks know. Agh! I like Chewy.

com, and I did call and rant to a nice Customer Service Representative about this issue–asking her to to please let “Nature’s Miracle” know this is an issue with this box. No problem with Chewy. Just calling myself “CrankyPants” today as I’ve spent a good chunk of time this morning scraping and whining about a cat box.

Even the many warning reviews here did not adequately prepare me for the horror that is these stickers. There is, at least, some comedy to be found in spending hours trying to remove a sticker that specifically advertises this product’s non-stick surface.

I first scored the stickers, applied goo-gone for an hour, scraped, applied more goo-gone for another hour, and then scraped, scraped, scraped for about an hour until they were finally off, then washed the whole thing with soap and water multiple times to remove all the goo-gone.

The bottom sticker—the one that is actually important to remove—was the more recalcitrant of the two. Even if there were a non-stick coating underneath those godforsaken stickers (how could there have been?) it is surely gone now, given that I had to scrape it within an inch of its life.

Taking the place of the stickers are now a zillion little scratches in the plastic, perfect for trapping bacteria—hooray. Thankfully, it does appear to be large enough for my giant floofer of a cat. If your cat does not specifically need an XL litter box, save yourself some sanity and buy something else.

I like these Nature’s Miracle litter boxes. They’re large enough for my bigger kitties. This review is more for the shipping of the litter boxes. I ordered 2 of the corner litter boxes and 3 of the N.

M. rectangular litter boxes. The corner boxes were put in one shipping box each. And the rectangular litter boxes, 2 were placed in one shipping box and the third was placed in a separate shipping box.

Seriously Chewy?! Are you trying to waste shipping materials? You’re doing a good job at it if you are. I tried it out and ALL 5 boxes fit into one of the shipping boxes that the corner litter boxes were shipped in.

This is how they should have been shipped. Oh, and I checked the distribution center they all came from; they were all shipped from the same distribution center in Goodyear, Arizona. All shipped the same day/time.

You need the train your packaging and shipping employees better. Perhaps have them play Tetris to train them. [I have photos but this site isn’t letting me upload them for some reason].

My cat is an “enthusiastic digger” and the high sides contain her action! Hurrah! The rounded shape is easy for her to turn around in and easy to clean. The depth of it also allows 6 “ of litter bedding and this works great! the bottom never gets soiled using lightweight litter and the box smells brand new after 3 weeks.

(Cleaned daily. ) I took the lid off as I was uncertain she would buy into the top entry but we may try it after a month. She took to this box immediately without the lid and I don’t think it will be necessary.

This little box has a medium size footprint and works great in my bathroom. (Deep bedding = no smell. ).

Over the years, we’ve been through a lot of different litter boxes and it can be more difficult than you think to find one that is agreeable to both cats and their humans. PetSafe has done their homework with this multi-cat litter box.

It seems like a simple idea to have contained locations for the scoop and the waste you scoop, but to get that done before, I’ve had to buy multiple products which makes the litter area look cluttered.

This litter box helps contain the mess and the odor in one neat design. The box is large enough so my cats do not feel confined using it. The sides are tall enough to keep escaping litter to a minimum, yet not so tall that it’s hard for my cats to get in and out.

For humans, the two compartments on the end are perfection. They take up minimal space, but provide just the things I’m looking for – a place to store the litter scoop that isn’t out in the open and a place to keep the litter box scoopings for a few days so I am not wasting garbage bags each time I scoop.

You can easily line each of the two sections with a small plastic trash bag – I have one for the scoop side and one for the litter side and I change them out as needed. The magnetic lid does a good job keeping the odor in.

The storage section slips on and off easily so I can sanitize it regularly to keep everything fresh. It is sturdy without being overly heavy so it’s easy for me to move around. This has been a big success in my 2-cat household and I will be buying a couple more.

Cheap, and easy to clean. Definitely get the large, or even an extra large (I don’t know if they make one), because anything smaller is too small. I only gave it three stars because this box is good for temporary usage, but not as your permanent and only litter box.

You would want an enclosed box for a cat you intend to be an indoor cat, to keep all the litter and smells inside. The cats do spread litter all around on the floor when they get out, and the smell spreads, so you don’t want this to be your permanent litter box.

I bought this to use with two kittens I adopted and will be inside only until they get big enough to live outside and be mousers (I live in the country and mice can be a problem). This box is cheap enough to buy, use temporarily, and then throw away if you don’t want to store it.

I love it. Easy to clean, sturdy, works well except. the cat hates it. I think he was freaked out by the slickness of the plastic. I gave it 5 stars anyway because if you have a normal cat it would probably be fine.

My cat has. issues. He is high maintenance. No worries, I use the box in my pottery studio where it works great for drying trimmings.

I got a couple of these a while back, hoping the litter would stay in the box. My cats don’t like hooded boxes, so I thought this might work. The shield doesn’t fit tightly and some of the cats knock it off.

The worst is cleaning. It has indentations in the corners of the front, and if the cat pees in the corner, good luck scooping it out. I have one cat who only likes to pee in the front corners of any box.

I tried turning the box so the indented corners were in the back, but then the shield fits even worse than when it’s on right. Nope. Bad design.

None of my 3 cats liked the idea of an enclosed cat litter box. My cats are 5 to 8 years old. They hated it. They were very uncomfortable inside it. The lid doesn’t snap into the base so any sudden movement like the cat trying to get in or out will make the lid fall off.

I am using it with the lid off, but I will be switching to one of my previous litter boxes that are cheaper and are made of a sturdier plastic. After watching a Jackson Galaxy video, I realized that cats don’t really like closed litter boxes and this was a mistake.

If you still want to go for it, please note that the lid doesn’t have any ventilation. This helps keeps the smell inside it, but I think this makes cats even more uncomfortable. My oldest cat started to pee all over the house because she had to made a point that she hated the litter box with the lid on.

She peed on top of the kitchen cabinets, the counter top and the new couch. Who knows where else she peed. I tried for a couple of months to get them to use it, but their behavior was turning bizarre each day so I gave up.

This cat box has a big opening for larger cats, and I liked the split hood idea to have easier access to cleaning out the box. The hood does not have any clips for attaching it to the bottom, so I’ve found it sitting awkwardly on the box of the cats knock it off.

The bigger issue I have is that the bottom of the box containing the litter is not flat across the bottom. There are grooves up and down where the scoop can’t reach to move the litter for scooping. I have crystal litter in this box and need to be able to spread the litter with urine around easily.

It takes more time due to the crevices in box bottom. I certainly would NOT recommend using any clumping litter as the clumps would break apart trying to remove them. I’m going to see if one of my back up plain litter pans will fit inside the bottom to make it a flat surface for cleaning.

I originally found this litter box decades ago and have loved it ever since. It’s made out of a rubbery plastic material that has never cracked or bowed, the lid has always fit well, and it continues to look great. I love that there are no clips to break. Every few years, I give it a thorough scrubbing with Bar Keepers Friend, brushes, and a magic eraser, and aside from a few dings here and there, it looks like new all over again.

Thick 3 mil 42 gallon trash bags work well as liners which are much stronger against digging claws, saves money, and eliminates the dependency of needing special brand name liners. ————— There is a warning to not use this litter box with elderly cats.

I didn’t know this and just kept using it as our current cat got older. I have offered her other litter boxes with easier entries, but she refuses to use them. She can still jump onto chairs and couches without effort which probably helps.

For many years, she has used a Rubbermaid step stool that I store next to the litter box which may also help. I will continue to monitor how easily she can get in and out and will switch to something else if needed.

This litter box lid is great at catching stray litter that clings to either the kitties’s paws (3 cats – 4 different litter boxes) or behinds as they exit the litter box. It’s sturdy, not falling over.

Fantastic for kitties that devote more time to pawing at the litter box sides when they’ve finished their business than actually answering mother nature’s call. I just gave this litter box away because it was really tough to wrestle off the lid when it was time to scoop and clean it.

I wouldn’t deduct one star because of a persnickety kitty, that’s not the fault of the design. I would and did deduct one star because of the unfriendly wrestling off of the lid that happened on the regular.

I’d lift one corner, then another, and then two other sides locked on to their opposite sides and it was a wrestling match that I never won, just to scoop and clean. And believe me, I tried all kinds of methods and directions to easily lift off this lid.

Just became an annoyance that I didn’t want to fuss with any longer. I have another brand of top entry litter box which allows the lid to easily be popped off with just one hand, and without wrestling with it with both hands and unequal leveraging too.

I’ll stick with that. If this company makes the lid easier to take off, with just one hand, this might be an ideal top entry design.

When I adopted Feliks in Oct. 2021, I have had a “devil of a time” finding the right litter box. He is a “digger & a thrower”. I had a hooded litter box- he threw the litter out the door – I obtained a high entry litter box – he still managed to throw it out the door.

All I was doing was sweeping up litter all of the time. I was exasperated as to what to do. I finally tried this Top-Entry Litter Box and the problem has been solved! He took to it right away. I set a low child size wood chair next to it in case he felt it was too high.

I have very little litter mess – it’s on the large mat underneath the litterbox (where it should be) and not all over the floor. It is a bit difficult to clean because it is big & deep – I take it out in the yard and use the garden hose or clean it with disinfecting wipes.

I’m just happy that the problem is resolved!.

We got this for our cat, the good is that it keeps litter very contained, which we need cause our cat digs to china each time he goes. We have a regular pan also, because he’s a diva and needs one for poop and one for pee, the regular pan always looks like someone dumped half of it on the floor, while this is really clean.

The bad is that the steps are impossible to clean with a scoop, but I use a shop vac to clean it up easy. I realize not everyone would have that handy so just keep in mind how you can clean that area, maybe a dust buster would work.

It holds an entire box of litter, which makes it rather deep, good for the diggers like my cat! I plan on replacing my other pan with this type soon.

This was the first litter box I used for my cat. I have no complaints. It was not very noticeable in my dining room kitchen. I had it in-between a few plants and you couldn’t tell it was there. I would just remove the top and scoop.

I would recommend this litter box for anyone with a regular sized cat. I ended up adopting a bigger cat and had to upgrade to a bigger litter box. He’s 16 lbs and this was too small for him.

Finally! A litterbox that actually keeps litter from tracking all around the house! The “clean step” really helps to minimize cat litter outside the box and I have 6 cats using it. I use a hand vacuum to clean the step once in a while and the small amount of litter that makes it way onto the floor.

Very minimal. Finally I feel like I can have a litterbox in the livingroom without it being visually unappealing or causing a mess. All my cats have been using it a lot, even more than the other giant, open, rectangle litterboxes we have.

Even our elderly cat with arthritis can access it easily with the stairs. I am thinking of getting another one of these boxes! I subtracted a star for these CONS- 1. Strange shape to scoop, not sure I’ll get used to that.

Rectangle is easier for sure than kidney bean shape. 2. As others have said, there is no latch to keep the top on the bottom. Maybe one day they will fix this, so not good for curious dogs or toddlers.

To add a little stability from rough playing kids or cats from accidentally knocking it I add a small piece of duct tape on either side of the entrance- helps a lot! 3. Could not get the litterbox liner it came with to fit over the strange shape of the litterbox.

The plastic actually split at the seam before I even started to try using it, had to patch it with duct tape. But ended up throwing it out anyway. If the liners you buy for this box are like this, they are useless.

And not sure if any liners out there will fit or not. Keep this in mind if you prefer to use a liner.

This is without a doubt the best littler box I’ve owned over 40 years of using litter boxes. Like many other cat parents, I was tiring of constantly sweeping up tracked litter from a regular box which happens even with a rug or mat in front.

I remembered a friend trying a top entry litter box years ago with success. This one looked attractive and since I also wanted to move the litter box to the bathroom, I decided to try this one. But how to do that since cat’s don’t like change? Well when it arrived I put it in it’s new location in the bathroom empty, Cats are curious so my kitty couldn’t resist exploring it by climbing in/out several times, After a couple of days I added litter–a new curiosity to kitty! I had washed the box before putting it down empty so now I added a bag of fresh litter, topping it off with a couple cups full of litter from his old box.

I didn’t completely block entry to his old box but put stuff near enough to make it harder to get to it than the new box. Before long I noticed he’d used the new box. At that point I took up the old box.

Neither of us have looked back. He seems to like climbing into the box and sometimes sits on it when mommie uses her potty or takes a shower! The opening is large enough to scoop out waste without taking off the top each time.

It is so much easier to scoop that I now take care of that chore every time he uses it. It comes with a cute matching scoop which hangs on the side of the box which I have facing the wall. So final points: very little, actually almost.

no litter outside box. It is attractive and doesn’t even look like a litter box. The one thing to note is that the first time the top is installed, one does have to manipulate it around some (it probably is not out of line if it is difficult).

Once manipulated into place the first time then when lifted to dump litter caught on top it goes back into place easily. Another thing to consider is that completely full of water it is heavy and hard to empty so when washing, just fill half full.

Many new objects have a breaking in period but I do not have one complaint or negative to offer about this litter box. I love it!.

I wanted to upgrade the litter box in our living room to something that was more aesthetically pleasing, but still functional and affordable. Our cat is comfortable with hooded litter boxes and is fine with enclosed spaces, so we figured this was worth a shot.

It is well constructed; I didn’t have any issues with the pieces not fitting like some other reviewers. My 11lb tabby is comfortable getting in and out of this litter box, and just hanging out in it, but he definitely prefers his standard you-can-get-it-anywhere litter box with the attached hood.

He will still use this one so I don’t regret buying it. I think he would prefer something where he can sit upright anywhere in the box, not just in the hole where he can comfortably squat while doing his business.

This is the MEDIUM size, the additional height of the large size may have been better for him. The width and length work for him though.

What a fantastic purchase for my 4 indoor cats & me – 2 jumbo size scoop free litter boxes which suit the Maine Coon X and the Ragdoll as well as the 2 older petite sisters. The scoop free boxes are made from a smooth, slippery plasticy material which means no more poop sticking to the sides and around the edges like the previous large storage boxes I had.

The Ragdoll has frequent diarrhoea & vomiting from a gastric condition & used to make a horrid mess everywhere, now it’s so easy to clean up. And the new boxes look soooo much nicer. I also switched the litter to the Michu original tofu cat litter which has virtually no smell new or used to offend my nose or their more sensitive ones.

No more stinky litter boxes – truly! We even have one in our bedroom with no odour at all, it’s incredible. I have used so many different litters & was preparing to return to the pine pellets but the tofu is brilliant & well worth the slightly higher cost especially as they don’t go through it very quickly, it clumps well & there’s no waste.

The Ragdoll does still kick a little bit out but nothing like he used to. It was very easy to get them to use the new boxes & the new litter. I put a new one next to an old one & let them choose which one they wanted.

It took probably 2 days before they were all using the new ones (the Ragdoll naturally used all 4 boxes – just as well I love him heaps!) I took the old boxes away after a week & no mishaps at all. The sisters often toileted outside in the cat run but are mainly using the boxes now especially with this cold, wet winter, I can’t blame them.

The other great item I bought was the Moderna lift to sift scoop. It’s a much better shape & design so I’ve tossed the previous flat ones away. I haven’t used the boxes in the shake mode (which is why I bought this design) but now have 2 extra trays if I need to put out more boxes.

I use the scoop frequently during the day (4 cats, 2 boxes & 1 messy boy) it’s quick & easy to keep the boxes clean & everyone is happy. And last but by no means least was the great service & quick delivery from Marco & Sarah at Modern Pets – thanks for everything from some very happy customers, Jane =), Munchkin, Tinkabel, Sabrina & Kobi =^.

This litter box has made things much easier! It meets my expectations and is as advertised. The cats are very happy and very little litter escapes the box during use. Now that I’m using it I do wish that the litter boxes and sieve had small handles to make it easier to lift out each box.

I don’t think this would be necessary with the smaller size but the larger size is heavy with the litter that I use so it can be a little tricky to separate and lift the boxes. It would also be super cool if only 3/4 of the sieve was gridded and 1/4 solid plastic.

That would mean that in transferring the used litter to the bin you could tilt the sieve to the solid area and no crumbs would fall to the floor. Without that change you can still just pop the other tray underneath for easy transfer this so it shouldn’t be a reason not to buy! These are very small tweaks, but I’d probably buy a second if such a model came out.

I have done a HEAP of research on bigger litter boxes. flap entries, stairs, ones where the cat has to JUMP in. SO MUCH RESEARCH! Don’t even get me started on the 20 different types of litter there are.

For us, this litter box is easy to use, I combine it with Tofu Litter and beside the odd bit getting stuck to the sifting part ( easily picked off with the rubbish bag I’m throwing the litter away in) I think it’s BRILLIANT.

Lightweight, seems to create less mess. but not completely I mean it’s a CAT. you’ll never achieve that. I do wish it was bigger as in longer for more room but my 8kg Cat is managing just fine. Love, love love.

I bought one of these early in the year and it became quickly my cats favourite. The other one was a stronger material, a bit higher but slightly shorter. The material is not very strong (won’t take any weight) but apart from that, myself and the felines are pleased and that’s why I bought a second one.

I got this litter tray on a one day special price. It’s very deep, so probably not for young kittens. My fussy cat took to it straight away. Not sure just how long the clips in the top section will last, but a good priced, well made item.

I would certainly buy it again.

Now the cat has figured out how it works, she is happily using it. I have a small cat and find that this is sturdy enough for her a larger more robust cat might find it less so. Having read previous reviews I am conscious of not too much force when cleaning it.

For me and my cat this is a good product and is certainly nicer than her old open tray.

Best litter box I’ve ever owned. It is big enough for my extra long (and large) cat as well as my high-pee boy! I needed a box for a new apartment that would contain the odor and would be easy to maintain.

This is it! My cats took to it immediately. The clear top is great for seeing in and makes my cats feel safe. I thought I’d have difficulty with them since we’ve never used a hooded litter box but it was not even issue.

It’s so easy to clean – the coating on the box makes easy clean-up with little to no sticking so less scraping for me. Additionally and probably more important, is the smell is really contained. Living in a small apartment, I always worry about the smell but the odor is really contained.

I highly recommend this box for anyone in small quarters with the worry of smells. I plan to get an additional box (since we have 2 cats). I am still using an open pan, but they seem to prefer this one.

I am extremely happy with litter box. It is so easy to clean . The snap tabs that hold the top on are easy to manipulate and are quite secure. It eazily accommodates my 12 lb Ragdoll kitty.

Our cats use both litter boxes. No more accidents outside of the liter box.

I purchased three of these. One arrived broken during transit, which was replaced, thank you Pet Circle. The first thing my cats did when I set them up was tip them over by jumping on the high sides.

Then there was tofu, bentonite and cat poop all over the floor for me to hastily clean up before leaving for work that morning, and again when I returned. The cats got used to not doing that after a while, but there have been several repeat performances including one earlier today, which prompted me to write the review.

The only way to stop this is to wedge it between other heavy things or put a heavy weight doorstop or rock inside it in the middle to weight it down, especially if using a lightweight litter like tofu.

The size of the box is good, and when the cats don’t knock it over, the litter stays mostly in the tray. But I think they deliberately knock it over to play with the litter all over the floor. The baby bath-like shape isn’t as easy to scoop out with a square shovel scoop as the rectangular trays and it’s about the same to wash.

All-in-all, I ended up purchasing some large rectangular hooded trays which work better because they can jump on top of the hood and not be able to knock the tray over, and they’re easy to scoop with a square shovel scoop.

These tubs I may have to disinfect and repurpose for washing cats and cat toys instead.

I bought this litter box on impulse at (of all places) a thrift store. It was super cheap and I needed another litter box for my multi cat household. The cats seemed to like it fine. Because it’s oval, it’s actually a little smaller than similar sized rectangle boxes.

Here’s the thing, though. Because it’s oval it’s really hard to clean with a litter scopp that has a straight edge. My kitties would pee, and the pee would harden the litter along the edge of the box.

But unlike a box with straight edges, I couldn’t scrape the scoop straight down the side, or come at it straight across. Instead I would have to use the side of the scoop to break the clumps away from the edge and then scoop it out.

It was inefficient and because I had to break the clumps it got dirty more quickly than my other boxes. I’ve moved it outside now to help with a gutter that overflows, and it does a decent job moving water away from the house.

But I would not recommend it for a litter box for your cats.

The blue color is pretty, it’s light weight and easy to move around. The floor space it takes is smaller then I was hoping. I have a natural healthy larger cat and tends to be longer then most litter boxes.

He uses this box and the high sides help keep more litter in the box then on the size. But I was hoping for a larger floor print for my cat. I might have to change it out with a large [but shallow] storage box get more space for him.

The Moderna litter box does everything it says in the ad. I got the flip top model which, for me, actually doesn’t really serve a function as I have to take the whole lid off to clean it. The design really helps to keep the litter material from flying all over the place with the lid.

My furry friend had no issue going in to the box through the flap, but I guess that’s where the flip top would come in handy, for cats who are a bit freaked out by the flap door, you can just leave it up and they can enter and exit without having to head-butt the door.

All in all, if you have an inside cat, I would highly recommend this product. Delivery was super fast and the item was well packaged – although I would really like to see more sustainable packaging materials.

Would purchase again.

We had to remove the plastic door as the cats didn’t like it. The bottom of the box or the tray is kind of flimsy and its surface seems to absorb litter and such making it much dirtier than those with a plastic surface coating that repels anything from sticking to it.

Also box could be bigger. Lid locks are not my favorite either. In reality there doesn’t seem to be a cat-box that solves all the issues and this one does it’s best to meet the challenge.

Wish I didnt have to scoop the poop but its fits in a corner and holds in the smell pretty well considering I have 2 kitties. Its bigger than I thought it would be and my kitties were so excited to get in it! They love it, I just wish it was an automatic scooper but Im satisfied with this buy.

The only thing I will say was my cover was cracked on the sides where the door hangs, I tried calling customer service and she said they would send me another top and she was suppose to transfer me to another department and the call was disconnected and I havent heard back from them.

It still works but was disappointed that it was broke right out of the box. Other than that if they like it then I like it.

I read the reviews about this litter box and found them helpful – especially the review in which one person said their cat jumped on the lid, it gave way scaring the cat, and then the cat wouldn’t use it.

I agree the lid seems flimsy. To avoid this I placed a short 1×6 board across the top so my cats would have to step on it rather than directly on the lid. This worked great. Prior to using this litter box with clumping clay litter, my cats were using an open litter box with crystal litter (since the time they were kittens).

Now that they’re adults I worried about them transitioning to a new litter box and new litter – or being interested in a new option since they still have access to their original litter and box. One cat used the new litter box immediately.

It’s been a couple of weeks and both cats are using it regularly. If I were to remove the board and they were to fall in, I’m pretty confident that they’d return to the litter box because they seem to like it.

Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend to a friend. I’d give it 5 stars but the flimsy lid forces me to give it 4 stars.

I had been using 2 large, high-sided litter boxes for my 11 month old, 9. 5 pound cat. Thought I’d try a top entry box to cut down on the amount of litter he manages to toss over the fairly high sides of my existing boxes.

I transferred the litter from one old box to the new one. Left the top off and tried to attract him to it. He climbed in, turned around a couple of times, then hopped out. Later I coaxed him into it again and he did (reluctantly) use it – once.

Later I tried with the cover on. He jumped in then right back out. I think he felt cramped. Although the new box is slightly longer than the old ones, it is also two inches narrower. This makes it seem very cramped for my cat and it’s harder for him to turn around.

Also, he is tall enough that his tail rises higher than the cover and he has to tuck it in with the cover on. He seemed so stressed by the new box that he refused to use EITHER litter box for 12 hours overnight.

Because I couldn’t let this continue, I switched back to the old box. Within a couple of minutes he was in the box and happily doing his business. It might be OK if you’d trained a kitten to use this top entry box from the beginning, but my near-adult cat wanted nothing to do with it.

So, nearly $30 down the drain. Maybe I can use it for storage.

I would give this 0 stars if it was possible do NOT waste your money on this product. The tray that lifts to hide the clumps/poop broke almost immediately after purchasing the box. The litter is comes with is the WORST crystal litter I have ever used the only way i could use the box at ALL was do spend another $60 on the reusable tray and buy another brand of litter and even then the scooping arm stops in the middle CONSTANTLY, seriously almost on a daily basis.

I also have to come and manually scoop the box twice a week because the cover does nothing to prevent odor and because the pee just sits in the bottom of the box until all of the litter is soaked through and has to be scooped.

I am going back to clay litter and a normal box, if I have to scoop it twice a week anyway at least the clay litter will lock in odors and won’t have the scooping arm stuck in the middle of the box causing my cats to pee in the floor due to not being able to use the box.

This product is the biggest waste of time money and effort i have ever experienced, and I have been changing litters, box locations in my home, and watching youtube video after youtube video for 4 months desperately trying to make this work considering I had to spend over $200 all together on it and I have finally given up.

Please do NOT waste your time and money on this box.

PetSafe ScoopFree Ultra Automatic Self-Cleaning Hooded Cat Litter Box This is the best automatic cat liter box that I have ever used. A friend had the lower model version a few years back and their cat loved it, as well as the owner, so I took the chance on this higher tech version.

It was shipped promptly and packaged very well to ensure that none of the components got damaged during shipping. De-packaging and assembly were very easy and took approximately 10 minutes! I cannot get over how much this changed the look of the room my old box was located as its so stylish compared to a plain old litter box.

The cord that powers the control panel is plenty long enough to allow for me to place the box nearly anywhere in the room as well. There is a basic model, but the features of the Ultra model made it worth the price.

While all models sense once a cat has used the box, in order to begin clean function, this version features a adjustable timer that allows you to change how quickly the box cleans itself after the cat does its business.

Furthermore, while both models have a manual “clean box” button, the Ultra model also has a “Health Counter” that tracks your cats’ usage. Since you will be monitoring the box less now, due to the self-cleaning, I found that the counter is great for making sure your cat is still using the box the appropriate amount.

Another thing that I love about this box is the no-mess clean-up! It comes with a disposable tray filled with liter crystals that when it is time to swap the liter out, all you have to do is throw the whole disposable tray away.

I feel like this could be very useful for people who are very germ conscious, or even for people with certain disabilities that hinder them from scooping! For a more ecofriendly approach, they also offer for purchase a “forever liter tray” made of durable plastic that can be dumped, cleaned, and refilled with fresh liter crystals.

It was a little more work since you have to clean the tray, but I felt better for being a bit more eco-conscious. Overall, I cannot recommend this product enough and I hope they’re in stock during the holidays because these are a perfect gift for the cat lovers in your life!.

I would have to say this device is a major disappointment, it claims to have superior odour control. It also claims to dehydrate and shrink solid waste on contact. I purchased this device for its claims of scoop free and odour control.

The scooping mechanism gets waste matter on the blades and also gets stuck in the blades, resulting in more mess to clean up. Product also claims crystals to last for weeks. This has not been the case for our kittens litter.

The design and placement of buttons for scoop clearing manually and for reading are in an inconvenient location. Changing the litter tray over is also a messy painful job. Unfortunately I have to say it is a waste of money.

Best litter box ever and the cats love it too. I’ve purchased 2 since finding them online and will purchase a pink when back in stock. I have a green one and a white. I love that the shovel and disposal bag compartment are hidden away in the door and also that the sand is hidden out of sight.

The entrance/ departure grated tunnel does a wonderful job of keeping the cat sand contained. Not to mention that it looks great.

This cool covered cat litter is working well for me. It fits perfectly into the space I had in mind. My cats both used it immediately. The design is really cool and easy to use. The tray is quite shallow, but seems to be okay with less litter than I would usually use.

I’m glad I got it.

When I was researching for a new cat litter box for my two cats I wanted to make sure they were comfortable. My number one concern was that my cats had the room they needed to use the litter box properly, and hopefully solve the issue of our small bathroom not having enough room for both a cat bed and a litter box.

This litter box is surprisingly big, my 7kg cat can move and turn around comfortably inside and both cats love the bed on the roof. It snapped together easily and the roof having a door makes it super convenient to scoop out dirty litter instead of having to take the top off every time I want to check the litter condition.

Our cats started using it immediately but haven’t worked out the scratcher yet. Only annoying thing was having to punch out each individual cardboard piece for the scratcher which took me half an hour.

We didn’t put the door flap on since it’s a new box to help the cats adjust which is working fine; but it does mean we need a litter mat for when they scoop the litter in the direction of the door. The litter box looks great too as we didn’t want an ugly box where guests are going to see the mess and we are also hoping the enclosed design will mean our future dog and child won’t want to play with the litter inside.

It’s reasonably priced and ticks all our boxes so we are very pleased.

Recently bought this as I needed a new litter box for downstairs of our new home and our cat had trouble adjusting to new surrounding environment. This litter box helped him readjust to new surroundings and do his business where he’s required.

The play mat and scratch post he just sniffs so it’s purely for looks. Cats usually don’t play where they do their business but at least his litter box looks good.

Delivery was slow but that could have been because of Coronavirus. Well packaged. Great litter box and fairly easy to put together and set-up. Only one issue and that was one of the end base clips was broken.

This has not affected my ability to put together or function of box. We have purchased this as a travel litter box for our cat and I think because of its shape, size and extra like bed and scratching post will work well for us.

OMG this litter box saved my life! My cat had been peeing while standing and made a lot of mess. I compared a few tall litter boxes online and decided to try this one from Modern Pets. Not just the looks (I bought the yellow/gray) is super stylish but it’s made very well.

Hardly any litter trail now yay! The change from low litter trays to this top entry only took 2-3 days for my cats to figure out. Once they figured it out I bought a 2nd one! The scoop it came with is not as good as the matching Scoop Free I also bought in yellow! Delivery to Sydney was fast as well and free shipping! A must have even if your cat does not have pee-outside-the box problem.

We could not be happier with the top entry litter tray and wish we had done this sooner. Previously when our cat would go potty in her old tray, there would be litter crystals tracked through the apartment and we would be constantly picking them up or vacuuming.

Now, thanks to this top entry design we are lucky if there is one crystal to pick up! No joke. It took her a little while to get the hang of using it — we coaxed her with treats to get her to jump up and explore the top of it.

At first she was reluctant to get inside, and I was a little nervous that she was associating it with her cat carrier (signal: vet!!) which has a top entry … but with patience, lots of treats and hiding the old litter tray, it was only a matter of 24 hours and she christened it 🙂 Now she uses it like a pro, as if it’s always been there.
