20 Best Liquid Eyeliner For Wings (2023 Updated)

I NEVER leave the cap off my liners (OCD). yet somehow this one dries out after a few weeks, consistently. I thought my first purchase was a fluke. Awesome precision, but only lasted a few weeks before the tip dried up.

Okaaaay. Did I maybe miss a detail (i. e. , did I use it more often than I thought? does it not work well over eyelid primer? did I really keep the cap off that long when I draw my lines?, etc. ). I begrudgingly shelled out for a 2nd one (and possibly a 3rd.

I can’t remember). Same thing. Awesome precision, but starts drying up after only a few weeks. There is a built-in snap/depress feature that takes place when you put the cap back on- so I thought maybe partially depressing into the cap repeatedly would make the ink start flowing again.

That kinda works. You can tell there’s still a lotta ink in there because it pools at the base; but the tip is completely clogged. I even tried dipping it in makeup remover to see if that would loosen things up.

No luck. Spent 30 mins trying to depress and apply (repeatedly) enough to complete one eye (upper+corner). only to have a teardrop wipe out my cat corner. This costs way too much money to keep dealing with this mess every morning.

I will not be buying this a 3rd time.

I’ve been using this liner for 7 years now, and since my first time using it, every other liner has failed to compete. The pigment is unparalleled, each stroke applies evenly, and it doesn’t fade or smudge throughout the day or evening.

The quality is well worth the price, and it doesn’t run out as quickly as other liners I’ve used. I use this liner pretty much every day, and it usually lasts at least 2 months. It can seem like it’s running low before then, but 9/10 times giving it a good shake is all it needs.

I get compliments on my liner all the time, and every time I’ve recommended this liner to someone it always amazes them! It has a few small flaws. It can get a little smudgy around my tear ducts, but only right after application.

When it’s starting to run out, the tip can get a bit frayed so it’s not as easy to get a sharp line, but that’s pretty standard for a liquid liner with a felt tip. The only improvement I could think of would be a grip to make it easier to hold while applying.

I received a complimentary gift from Kaja and it is the easiest way to stop struggling with an expert level eyeliner look! I have always struggled with trying to get my eyeliner and winged look to get as symmetrical as possible.

I would get aggravated more when I would give up and wipe off my makeup because I wouldn’t even want to bother finishing the look. Winged eyeliner is such a classic and timeless wear for everyday to all occasions.

The Kaja stamps are waterproof and juicy like filled with product. My skin was not irritated at all after wearing it for more than six hours. What I love more is how fine point the Kaja eyeliner pen is that’s included to this package.

This pen helps flick away much easier and play up your eyeliner looks with lots of fun thin to thick lines. And it’s so easy to fill in any sparse spots where more eyeliner is needed. I love how effortless my eyeliner part of my makeup routine became for me using Kaja’s eyeliner stamp.

As much as I love makeup, I am TERRIBLE at winged eyeliner because I don’t have the patience for it. I was so excited to try this kitschy, adorable wing stamper because it makes eyeliner feel more accessible to an impatient person like me.

Even with no experience, I did a thick liner the first time, and a thinner, more elegant liner the 2nd time. Both were wearable looks, and I could see my progress improve in no time whatsoever. I’ve tried other Kaja products, and like those, this one is a win.

stamp pen- maybe i need more practice but just being real, i can get a sharper winged liner by freehanding it. I, personally, love a super pointed tip, and these didn’t give that. For someone who just wants to do a winged tip quickly in the morning, then yes this is good for that type of consumer.

Ok let’s just say the BEST EYELINER IN THE MARKET I know is a little pricey but come on if something works really good just get it better then investing in a product that doesn’t do the work. This eyeliner stole my heart I will forever keep purchasing this eyeliner I definitely recommend it, super black stays on for as long as I can remember whole day and night it has that beautiful midnight super black color.

I want try more products from charlotte tilbury but they little pricey so hopefully one by one but I’m looking forward to try the Hollywood under the foundation. I love the CEO of Charlotte Tilbury but I’m not gonna lie to you no matter how much I support someone I will never recommend it because I love them but I loved the brand that’s what stands out fist and I will forever give me my honest and truth review about any products.

I came across this in LA at some Galleria and I had forgotten my eyeliner while visiting! I randomly picked this make up line which I would normally stick with Shiseido. This feline flick I’ve had for almost a year and a half and it has lasted that long and I use it whenever I go out.

It lasts the best and goes on the easiest I have ever found. I was just running out and I had managed to rob almost the entire name of the company etc. off and I couldn’t find it. Much to my pleasure I was able to barely type in part of the name of the feline flick and finally found it online! I was so sad when I thought I might not be able to find it I was so mad I didn’t purchase a new one sooner.

I am so grateful to found this online and I would like to try some of the other make up brands I hope that there are samples!.

I used to use exclusively black eyeliner, so making the switch to brown was difficult since a lot of brands don’t carry brown liquid liner (that isn’t borderline black). This one is a soft medium/deep brown, and the formula isn’t too wet going on.

It stays all day for me and when I wore it at universal (I rode the Jurassic park log flume ride), it didn’t budge for me. My only complaint is that one lasted me maybe a month to a month and a half tops before it was totally dry.

I’m used to using an eyeliner for about 2 1/2 to 3 before replacing and that’s when it still works but I’m afraid of the bacteria. Sadly I may have to switch if it keeps running out this quickly. Off to try Benefit’s Roller Liner in brown next.

I love how pigmented, precise and easy to use this product is. I have oily lids and hooded eyes and my cat eye stays looking flawless all day. The stencil is so helpful in making my cat eye look like a pro did it! I will definitely buy again! The only problem is that sometimes it leaks and there’s a dot of product that drips on the side.

Not sure why it happens but it’s easy to clean. I do recommend that you clean the stencil with micellar water after every use otherwise the dried product will clump and ruin the shape of it.

Great product. Super pigmented. I replaced my old favorite Kat Von D liner with this. At some point Kat Von D changed their formula and it smudges. This liner doesn’t smudge to your lower lash line. It lasts all day even with oily eyelids.

The brush tip helps you create the sharpest cleanest cat eye. My only complaint is, the product starts leaking out after a while. It’s happened to my last 2-3 eyeliners. It just happened. I didn’t bring anywhere or fly anywhere with it.

I am so sad and heartbroken with this purchase. I haven’t worn makeup since the pandemic began but have started to go out again and needing makeup. Over the past year my eyelids have become very oily.

My usual go tos (Stila, KVD) have started to melt onto my lid as soon as I put it on because of these new oily lids. Even with primer on they melt right away. I googled and the product was the at the top of the list for oily eyelids.

I was delighted to see an earlier post of someone else with oily monolids raving about this eyeliner, which led me to purchase it. Annddd after two hours it melted. I would say it’s not as badly melted as KVD or Stila, but I’m still disappointed.

I just want to put an easy liner/mascara look on and don’t want to have to use primer and shadow on to make liner last. I will experiment to see if eye primer will prevent this product from melting and update this later.

If not I’m returning it.

I tried this several years ago when I was inexperienced with liquid eyeliner and thought it was great. Fast forward to today after using tartes liquid liner and kat von d – nice sharp point on brush), I bought this thinking it would be great but was quickly disappointed.

I’m someone who has a hard time with liquid liner so I was thinking the thicker less stiff brush would be easier to streamline the process but it is not! Because it’s so thick it ends up looking messy, it is nearly impossible to get a clean line (it bleeds with little splotches), second – you cannot get a precise point if you like wing liner, it will be thicker because the brush is probably three times the size as most liquid eyeliners, three – it is difficult to get a nice black line directly next to your lash line.

Ended up trying several times using this product and it always looks like a kid did my eyeliner and I have very good hand eye coordination, just need the right tools. Don’t fall for the hype. The only benefit this might have is someone who likes a very thick cat liner look similar to what kat von d showcases.

If you like precision, sleekness, and a clean look that you can also make dramatic but keep classy, stick with the thin point and dense liquid eyeliner brush that is offered by many other brand for 20 dollars instead of 30.

I recommend tarte. Though it can be annoying at times and takes some patience using a thin brush, the outcome is always worth it for precise look.

I’ve used this produce for years. The best with my color was a navy, sometimes called blueberry (I think), but it seems that the darker blues come and go. On me, black is too harsh and it would be nice if smoke were a tad lighter yet I am happy that you have that option.

It seems that there is less in your product than previously. Is this possible? Perhaps I am wrong but either way, I agree that it dries out more easily than before and therefore runs out more quickly and is sometimes harder to apply because of the dryness.

Please do not stop providing the smoke as an option as your eyeliner seems to be the one I’ve found that is best for my color since the deeper blues are no longer options. Thanks for reading and considering my comments.

Pros: The liquid liner formula itself is fantastic–it is super pigmented and lasts all day. Cons: The applicator has a fat tip, so it takes some effort to get a precise, thin line. However, my BIGGEST issue was that it dried out in just a little over a month’s time! I’ve never had a tube of liquid liner from high end or low end brands dry out that quickly before.

Perhaps I got an old bottle, but I don’t think I’ll ever purchase one again to find out. I never pump and only had it open when actively applying it, which takes me less than a minute a couple times a week.

This was the first bad product I’ve ever gotten from Lancome, and I’ve been wearing their makeup for decades now.

I’m chemically sensitive and love scent-free non-irritating gentle Gabriel ZuZu liquid eyeliners easily removed with damp cottonball. A dot can be blended like eyeshadow into crease above eyelid, and up from outer end of eyelid.

Softly romantic Amethyst violet is dark enough to define lash line; Taureg is a universally neutral natural brown; Nile Green is bright and bold like a deep peacock blue-green; and this deep navy blue Storm with a hint of starry night is my darkest (as Black and Raven too dark for my fair coloring).

Lately these eyeliners have been a bit too wet at first for me, but leaving open dries a little; and when almost used up, I add a drop of pure water and rotate brush to bring up residue. Brush tip pointed.

I bought this eyeliner on the basis of the brand name, dint ever thought to check the review. And I tried it before going to office and when I went to get fresh and up in the office I saw myself with panda eyes in the mirror (don’t laugh), yes the whole eyeliner was spreaded on my eyes and I already have dark circles and my eyes were looking as if they were bruised.

Eyeliner was whole spreaded across my eyes. I was so embarrassed. I don’t have oily skin nor did I wash my face but just fidgety with clearing my eyes off the whole dark and thick layered eye liner was spreaded.

I tried to return it but it was costing me more hence couldn’t even return it, such bad luck and dint expected to pay for return with Look Fantastic. But now it’s just lying in the makeup kit untouched and unused.

Really very disappointed with such a high and good brand name with such pathetic product. Never ever buy it.

I?m in love with this eye liner!!!! This is the most precise eye pen I?ve tried so far! One side has super fine brush that can be used for the skinny lines, which is perfect for the daytime casual look makeup.

The other side has super pointy felted applicator which gives you the most dramatic look with ease. The application is very easy and you have full control. The formula is smooth so it glides seamlessly.

The ingredients list is quite impressive since there is no harmful parabens etc. 01 Deeper is super deep black shade. But if you want to have just a slight accent on your eyelash line, use the side with the brush so you can have more soft look.

And if you are new to the eyeliner games you can start with the brush side to create the line and then go over it with another side of the pen for more contrast look. The staying power is on point, so it doesn?t transfer or fade.

The TF packaging is my favorite! This pen is not cheap plastic, it comes in the metal tube with the perfect weight so it feels very comfortable in the hand, and that is very helpful to achieve the perfect application results! Overall it?s a wonderful eyeliner pen for a liner pro as well as for the beginner.

It quite pricey but it worth the money in my opinion. And it feels like it will last forever.

This so not worth the money. I’ve tried to love this over the last year, but it is just not good. There are so many better liquid liners that happen to be much less expensive (even high end ones like Lancôme).

First, it is not close to the blackest black liner. Second, the pens are weird sizes/densities. I find the small pen is too small other than perfecting the point and inner corner on this pen, but it is so dense it doesn’t have good flex/glide to flick.

Then the big pen is too big to get a medium or small sized wing or line and too soft to get a perfect defined line. Third and finally, it’s a pain to switch between to mediocre felt tips, I’d rather they have made one really good one.

I don’t care for having to go back and forth. If they made the bigger pen slightly more dense and put a finer tip on it then it would probably be much better (though that doesn’t solve the issue of it being a little light in color for my preference, but that varies from person to person of course).

I’m really good at finessing my eyeliner, and I still had so much difficulty with this pen. After spending so much money on it, I really wanted to love it, but it’s frankly just bad.

The Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen is the epitome of luxury. It’s a dual-ended pen that comes with two kinds of applicators. One end has a calligraphy tip for bold lines and the other end has a brush tip for thin lines.

One of the first things that I noticed about this product was that the barrel of this pen was quite a bit heavier than other liquid eyeliners. It took some time for me to get used to the extra weight, but once I was comfortable with it, I realized that it was actually extremely beneficial.

The heavier barrel helped to stabilize my hand while drawing lines. I really appreciated how quickly the liquid dried and its intensely pigmented and glossy finish. Once the eyeliner set, it stayed on all day for me.

There’s a bit of flex in the finish, which I love, as it kept the eyeliner from cracking and flaking off. The two end caps snap on securely to close, so this eyeliner travels well and I don’t have to worry about it leaking.

At US$62, this eyeliner is one of the most expensive eyeliner I’ve tried, but I genuinely think the convenience of the dual-ended applicators and great formulation of this liquid liner make this product worth the high price point.

This eyeliner is truly a timesaver and allowed me to draw precise lines with very little effort. Time is money, right? The Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen is everything that I’ve ever wanted in a liquid eyeliner.

to find the right liquid eyeliner so when I received Tom Ford in the mail from Influenster I thought what a luxurious treat. I love the packaging, and the dual ends allowing you complete control over the pen.

It allows for precision and small touch ups and is comfortable to hold in your hand. First impression was not the best as the liner was slightly opaque going on. I shook up the pen and reapplied and had better results.

The long thin end allows you to get that wispy end and drag the line down to your corner, while the shorter more durable end allows you to fill in the color effortlessly. I did have to put on a couple coats to really see that bold dark black pigment so that was my only issue.

It lasted an entire day in the water park which I was not expecting and though I did several coats it did not get cakey or flakey and that is a huge win in my book. It’s possible I got a fluke where I have to reapply to get the dark pigment but since I was able to achieve it and it applied so well and lasted all day I would absolutely repurchase this as well as recommend it to a friend.

Knowing you’re using a top tier brand also leaves you feeling a little luxurious at the end. Did I mention it lasted through and entire wedding outside in the humid heat? It really lived up to my standards.

Very nice. The packaging is very pretty and the product definitely looks high end. The liner goes on AMAZING and I’m not one who usually uses liquid liner so the fact that I got a perfectly straight beautiful line is a true testament that this product is great.

It has excellent staying power when on. Dries right away so no worries about transferring or smudging. And it is definitely a nice true and rich black color. Cons are that the product case is metal and heavier than I would prefer, but that’s just my preference.

Also, each side of the applicator should be labeled which tip type it is. It’s hard to see which end is which since they’re not labeled. Otherwise, this is a solid liquid liner and I really like it a lot.

This is one of the best drugstore eyeliners I have tried. In fact, it beats many of the department and other indie brand liners I’ve tried. The only other thing I need to test is its longevity. I have tried a few liners that worked perfectly yet died within a few weeks/months.

Hopefully this will last a while. If so, it probably will be the best liner for me. My only con is the felt tip. However, this is a personal preference. I just prefer a stiff felt tip because it’s easier and faster for me.

However, I do understand the slight flimsiness of the tip allows for a really sharp wing. This liner creates the sharpest wing I have ever seen. It’s also one of the most pigmented liners. It’s a deep rich black and honestly can’t see it being any darker than this.

It glides on the eye like butter. In fact, it’s so slippery that it’s easy to make a mistake. If you lightly press this liner anywhere on your face it will mark it, so you have to be careful when using it and take your time.

Once you are done, you get this insanely sharp wing, highly pigmented and matte-like finish liner. It lasts all day long, doesn’t smudge or smear. See for yourself! I tried this on my youtube channel.

I really wanted to like this product. The first time I bought it, I liked the eyeliner itself but it would become really runny and leak out of the pen. I bought another one as soon as my first one ran out and it already had cracks forming after only two months of using it.

This last time I used it a crack leaked all the product into my eye and spilled everywhere so it wasn’t savable at this point. Only giving two stars because the eyeliner does last and is very pigmented.

As much as I like other nyx products, I’m going to be avoiding this one from now on.

I’m personally not a fan. It’s so wet that it bleeds and spiderwebs out even after I wipe the tip off well. You end up wasting a good amount of the product absorbing off excess product to even attempt to make it go on without ruining the eyeshadow that you just painstakingly applied.

It stays on well once you finally manage to get it to go on properly, but by then you’ve probably had to fix your eyeshadow a couple of times (ain’t nobody got time for that and it never looks as good as it did before) and are frustrated three ways to Hades.

I ordered this on Halloween for store pickup because I was doing face paint on my daughter who was a monarch butterfly, and needed something to make the thin black lines instead of making them with messy face paint.

When I opened it, the brush was completely dry, and I put it back into the tube 5 or 6 times swirling it around trying to get ANY product on the brush. Still, the brush was completely dry, and I looked into the tube which looked completely empty.

I would assume it dried out, except that the brush looked like there had never been any product on it at all so I assume it didn’t get filled. It was very annoying because I ended up having to use my Stila and Kat Von D eyeliners that are a lot more expensive, which both got ruined due to drawing on top of oil face paint.

Check that it has product in it before buying.

Besides the H20 Proof Eyeliner, this eyeliner is my Holy Grail! The wear is long-lasting but easy to come off. Besides probably having this slight shine to the finish and rubs off easily if you scratch near your liner (but you’d have to really want to rub your liner to rub it off), this liner is my go-to for everything and doesn’t smudge.

The precision brush tip is a nice and fine point, so if you like thin lines that are tight around the lashes like I do without getting into the waterline, then this is definitely the liner to use. I also love how much of the liquid actually gets on the brush.

I can go from putting on a nice thin line with a light hand to filling in my outline for a cat-eye look.

Tried this because I have arthritis and thought it would make life easier – it did, and it didn’t. Firstly, the pens are very chunky and that REALLY helped; the tip of the liner is absolutely perfect for getting a precise, thin line; it contains A LOT more product than other liners; and it’s definitely sweatproof – didn’t budge or smudge all day even during exercise; so massive plus points, there.

However, it’s quite sticky and doesn’t glide on very smoothly AT ALL (possibly the waterproof formulation?); it’s not very black, and there’s an awful lot of plastic involved. If it had just one pen and one stamp shaped for use on both eyes, so using much less plastic, I could forgive the other minus points because the pen, tip and sweatproof aspects are IDEAL.

It’s definitely worth a try, though.

i desperately wanted this product to work for me and was thrilled when it arrived ! however i found the following; 1. doesn’t stay on, black liner drys out and flakes off , i need to keep reapplying 2.

when i try to remove some of the dried out parts with my fingers – they don’t just remove easily , i have to smudge them off to the end of my face, the black ink just keeps smudging to other places on my face, trying to grasp the ink and remove it completely is difficult.

3. gold text/font all chipped of bottle with in a week of owning it – i personally don’t like this because i like my make up looking clean, new and not old if i’ve only just bought it! iris i love your brand and ideas! i want to keep supporting but how can i make these products work for me when they just don’t last on my face, im not oily skin based, im just average dry/oil combination with no issues.

My first eye liner was not working well and I was unsure if it was faulty or just the way they are, but I was sent a replacement one (and the customer service was exceptional) the replacement liner is wonderful.

The colour is not splotchy and it goes on easily and the stamp size and shape is great. I love this colour for day time wear and use the black for night time. Love it. Thank you quick flick for the replacement.

Definitely ask them if your not satisfied with one you e been sent as they are great.

This eye liner is my magic wand. I don’t give many 5 star reviews, but this is perfect. It applies easily, narrow, dark, and looks gorgeous every time. The color stays all day, and the tube lasts a lot longer than I expected (about 6mo per bottle, if your kids don’t decide to paint the bathroom walls with it.

) I always buy two when it’s on sale since it sells out often. I hope they never discontinue this product, the other similar tubes just don’t compare. Oh, I also used this to draw on my Halloween costume fake eyes and it stayed all night without a smudge.

This eyeliner was my HG eyeliner when I found it a few years ago. It was very black, NEVER smudged even with my oily skin, and I absolutely ADORE the micro brush tip. The only thing I ever had a problem with was each one I bought after a while a lot of liquid would come out of it.

So much so I would have to dab it off on toilet paper before I could use it. But I loved it so much I dealt with it. Well I stopped using it for almost 2 years and just re-purchased it. I was so excited! Ulta was out of stock so ordered it online.

Unfortunately, I am disappointed. It is not the same at all. Idk if I just got a bad one or what but it’s not very black, not much liquid comes out and it definitely doesn’t stay on like it used to. I’m so let down right now because I was SO stoked to use it again.

I really hope I just got a bad pen or something but I would gladly deal with the leakiness again if it worked like it used to. Idk if I want to try it again.

This is actually great eyeliner. When I use liquid eyeliner I typically use a felt tip liner pen which helps me apply a smooth cateye. This is the first liner I tried that is actually a brush with bristles (very small) but it actually works really well.

It’s really all about pressure application. If you push harder then it’ll spread out more, and if you stay really light, the hairs/bristles hold their shape, I was concerned that they wouldn’t. What’s also nice about this as opposed to felt tip liners is that you don’t have the same issues getting all the product to the very tip of the pen for the cat eye.

The way felt tips work is you shake them and the product comes into the felt area and during application when you slide on the product it moves towards the tip as well, but if you’re running out of extra product that you’re able to slide down the lid and what’s on the lid is drying, the tip doesn’t have anything to work with, it doesn’t really hold product well so you end up with a wonky cat eye tail which is exactly what you want to avoid with cat eyes.

The brush applicator on this product totally avoids that because it’s just tiny hair/bristles the eyeliner product is easily able to move throughout the entire brush and you don’t end up with a dry tip.

I will absolutely buy again to replace my felts for when i use liquid liner.

This is an excellent quality product. The formula is lovely, very pigmented, a true matte black finish, and lasts all day. Takes a very long time to dry out. The tip is a wonderfully soft, flexible felt tip perfect for a nice winged liner.

Great price, too. Highly recommended!.

I used Milani infinite for many years and was so sad that they discontinued it. I have tried every expensive brands with promises that they are waterproof and stays put all day and nothing still holds up.

I tried the Milani tank eyeliner and that smudge almost immediately. This Stay Put eyeliner it’s definitely not waterproof and will run immediately with water contact and needs to be reapplied throughout the day because it flakes off and smudges in my mono lid within 30 mins of application.

Although this eye liner is not perfect it is the only one I found so far that is next best to the beloved discontinued Infinite eye liner. I have not tried the Eye tech Milani liquid eyeliner yet. Can somebody let me know if it’s better than Stay Put? Like it is actually waterproof, does not smudge, and flake off during the day? For example I would be able to go to hot yoga with Infinite.

I would also like to know why infinite it was discontinued??? I think we deserve to know, was it harmful?.

Like others here I was a loyal Infinite liner gal and am still heartbroken it’s discontinued. Unfortunately this one falls short on many fronts. The matte element makes shadows stick to it, imagine putting loose shimmer powder on a chalkboard, that’s what this looks like.

From experience working an 8 hr shift at a gallery I can say it is absolutely not waterproof at all, I finished my shift looking like a raccoon. And the amount in the bottle is enough to last only about a month of every day wear.

Not worth it. I wish I loved this and wish I found a liner comparable to the infinite liner < /3.

I was a faithful user of the Infinite Liquid Eyeliner for YEARS! I used it because it was literally waterproof and smudge proof. I could swim or shower with it and it was stay put. When it was discontinued I bought this one with the same expectation, since it says it’s 17 hour wear.

Well it’s NOT. The first time I wore this was to a funeral, I cried. and it came off. About a week later I was working out, started sweating and when I wiped my sweat it rubbed off. I feel like this is just like any other liquid eyeliners.

It shouldn’t tout 17 hour wear either. Very disappointed customer that Infinite was discontinued, and that Milani thought this was a better replacement.
