This baby is practically the Holy Grail of liquid liners! I mean the felt brush style tip is tapered to a fine point allowing for precision and detail! The liner liquid flows smoothly without skipping or globbing from first use to last! Ince the liner dries down (it takes a sec to dry ALL the way down) she isn’t going anywhere until the remover or makeup balm hits your face.

Normal to slightly oily lids likely wont need a lid primer (so you can save some $ AND time cutting it out. ) But if you, like me, suffer the Abominable curse of the TRULY HORRIFICALLY GREASY LID you’ll still have to lay-down the lid primer to ensure a 16hr smudge/transfer/badbitch look.

Remember you HAVE to let it dry totally for the results-for hooded lids this means keeping that eye closed looking down from first hint application to DRY DRY (legit a full minute)!.

After having this liner for almost month now it’s impossible to use. I store it upside down, and every time I go to use it, it never NEVER applies. When it does, it’s either blotchy or very sparse. It’s impossible to get any straight lines with this liner, because it’s like using a dried out pen.

You go over the same line again, and again, and again, and it NEVER applies. It’s useless when it comes to filling in anything. There’s no precision, fineness, or control over this liner. You either get nothing, or have to apply so much pressure to your eye that it just blotches everywhere.

The felt tip either never applies any product, or breaks because when you make an effort to apply it, the point bends and then it stops working. Every time I’ve attempted to use this liner, I end up frustrated because it doesn’t work, and have to either spend 30 minutes + trying to fill in one little gap, or I wipe it off and start from scratch with a different liner.

Do not buy this product. It’s a complete waste of money, time, and will test your patience beyond the ends of the Earth. I want it to be good. If I had one good thing to say, it’s it’s waterproof and long lasting.

That is, if you ever manage to actually apply it properly, and well.

I loved how smooth this liner would apply along with the precision. You’re able to smoothly draw a very thin line. This liner would have been perfect, but it would leak and also dry out periodically.

I would constantly need to run the pen on the back of my hand to get the ink flowing again like a dried out writing pen. Then I would need to clean up the back of my hand which would be a hassle because it’s waterproof.

The second purchase of this liner got to the point to leak all over my fingers and hands (and also splash onto my mirror without me shaking it – very weird). For these reasons I unfortunately will not be repurchasing the product, but hit me up if these issues improve!.

This review is for the shade ‘Nietzsche’, which unfortunately isn’t an option on here at the current moment. Having long been a fan of the OG Tattoo Liner, I had high expectations when I saw this on Sephora on sale one day.

I was super excited to try this formula as the color swatch was super pretty and right up my alley. The shade is a nice bright periwinkle color that dries down very matte. Wear time is pretty decent on this eyeliner – was able to last throughout the day, but did notice some flaking and opportunities for touch up.

It’s a shame that such a beautiful color is wasted on a horrid formula. There’s drugstore brands that have better eyeliner quality, offering similar colors. This eyeliner swatches beautifully but, it takes a lot of effort to have pay off on the eyes.

One simple application is not enough, I found myself having to reapply several more times to achieve a consistent color. This isn’t a deal breaker for me as I will make use of the product (mainly due to the beautiful color) but would never repurchase this specific line of liners, as there’s far more reliable options.

Bought this as the tattoo liner was sold out at the branch I went to and I needed a liquid eyeliner desperately. This does not hold a candle to the original tattoo liner. It applies like a blotchy mess.

Want to get an even, straight wing? Forget about it. If you go over an area it simply strips the product away. I don’t mind paying for quality products but this is the most frustrating liquid eyeliner I’ve used in a while.

Honestly if you’re thinking of buying this don’t bother, stick to the tattoo liner. Worst £19 I’ve spent in a long time.

i literally just came back from ulta to try this and i’m not impressed. ok so good first: i loved how quickly it dried. felt like it would stay put and it came off super easy with micelar water. BAD: the tip is just as everyone describes, way tooo big.

honestly pilled up after the second dip. you can’t do a sharp wing and if you get close it comes out like you’re going for the myspace kid look. I LOVE a thick wing but i cannot with this one lol. it felt super caked and maybe that’s my fault for going with the matte but i just wanted something for my oily eyelids.

I used to buy $30 Sephora eyeliners that were HALF as good as this one!! No other high end or drug store products compare to this eye liner, and as someone who wears eyeliner everyday I really relied heavily on this eyeliner.

Before stumbling upon this God-send, I had issues with eyeliners not having enough precision, flaky/goopy formula, and not long lasting. On top of that, I have oily eyelids and most eyeliners just don’t last very long.

This eyeliner was so perfect, it would last all day and the consistency and wand were so easy to use. I could achieve a perfect cat eye in 5 minutes every morning. I’ve been looking for this eyeliner for the last few months and couldn’t find it anywhere, only to find out it’s been discontinued.

I wish I had the foresight to stock up on this before it went away without warning. I’m so lost and confused about which eyeliner to use now that this is gone. I’ve used Nyx’s epic wear, and as the comments here say it’s impossible to take off and the formula is nowhere near as good as the regular liquid matte.

I’ve also tried Nyx’s felt tip eyeliner which just flakes off and doesn’t give as much precision for a fine cat eye. With both of these eyeliners, if you make a mistake you are stuck with it because their formula is just not as good for quick removal and redoing.

I will have to find a replacement from another company that will probably be more expensive than this was and of vastly lower quality. PLEASE NYX PLEASE BRING THIS BACK!!!!!!!! WE ALL MISS THIS EYELINER AND NOTHING ELSE YOU HAVE EVEN COMES CLOSE TO THIS!!!!!.

I used your Matt eyeliner for years. I use lux brands in makeup and your eyeliner was ONLY budget product I used consistently and no expensive product could match you. I was upset when you stopped it but gave your new eyeliner a chance I bought few as I did with Matt and was sure you made product better.

I was very wrong. Brush is too thick and terrible, liner tube too large and very inconvenient during application and actual liner maybe ok but I simply cannot apply it with terrible brush and huge container.

I returned new style liners immediately. I bought few old stock Matt liners on eBay and gladly paid 200-300% over original price because I would pay more to you for the same quality product but you chose to offer bad product for the same price.

I will eventually find replacement from someone else and for now will use old stock. But I hope you will listen to your customers and return a great product. I don’t think its right that I paid $20-30 to someone on eBay instead of NYX because you made a bad decision.

I’ve been using NYX vinyl matte liquid liner religiously for years and I’m so sad it is discontinued! This is my first time ever writing a review because I’ve never felt as strongly about a product as I do when it comes to the formula used in this eyeliner.

I’ve been searching for it everywhere with no success. I’m writing this in hopes that NYX reconsiders their decision in discontinuing this GLORIOUS product. I have super oily skin and this is the only eyeliner that lasted all day long and there were times that it lasted all weekend (TMI) and on Monday my coworkers complimented me on how great it looked.

It was so great that they even went out and bought some for themselves and loved it. I have tried so many different brands high end and not to try and replace this one since I ran out and have not been successful.

I recently discovered this amazing product. This is my new favorite everyday must have eyeliner replacing a discontinued UD 24/7 liquid liner. I am now finding it is hard to come by everywhere. Please tell me this product is not discontinued.

My heart will be broken. We need more colors. An dark electric blue please. I love the purple, green and metallic black. For those who think it’s thin. Just vigorously shake the bottle.

My brand eyeliner has been sold out so I’ve had to resort to trying something new, and this is what I happened upon since I do love their foundations. However I would never recommend this liner. The applicator tip is WAY too long for close up precision and detail, I’m assuming this is for the inexperienced people who don’t know how to do a winged cat eye look on their own.

Also, Maybelline, you need to fix your formula. The eyeliner clumps up even as it’s still wet, and I bought the waterproof formula; but, it peels right off like vinyl, and the same as if you had dried glue on your skin and can peel it all right off, forget needing makeup remover.

I’ve found myself needing to reapply over and over, multiple times in just 1 day. Also, back to the waterproof, my eyes got a little watery in the side, and the eyeliner slide right off, there’s that vinyl! I was very disappointed with this product.

I discovered this eyeliner a few years ago when I switched from gel to liquid eyeliner and I have never wanted to use anything else. I always get the onyx color and it lasts all day. I have cried and gone swimming with this eyeliner and it stays on as long as I don’t rub my eyes.

I always do the winged eyeliner on my eyes as well, and it is so easy to apply and create the wing due to the fine tip.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! The brush tip has wonderful precision and makes every stroke shading when using this liner result in a fine line. I have a lot eyeliners that are very similar to this and while they do give me good results when doing my makeup, this product gives me just enough liquid to where I don’t need much reapplying.

If you have sensitive skin like me or really sensitive eyes then you’ll most likely experience itching or a slight burning sensation so i recommend fanning your eyes to relieve your eyes so that you can keep using the product.

The itching or burning doesn’t last long; only a few seconds. Overall, this product is excellent and it really lasts during however long you wear your makeup! Highly recommend!.

Such high quality for an amazing price! When I first began experimenting with eyeliner, my friend recommended it to me since it was the cheapest option. I was surprisingly pleased with how pigmented the color was and the applicator is amazing for beginners.

It’s a thin wand which allows a lot of easy control. If you make a mistake just take a q-tip and one small swipe cleans it up well. Now after experimenting with loads of other high end eyeliners, it’s still one of my favorites.

Consistently pigmented, perfect consistency, lasts all day, and the cheapest price on the market! It comes it other colors and they are all just as amazing.

my first liquid eyeliner was the e. l. f. expert eyeliner – just because it was the only one available at the grocery store when i begged my mom to buy me makeup in 7th grade – so i kinda went off the deep end.

because i got used to that soft precision brush and the e. l. f. formula, i really don’t like the texture of the brush tip on the wet n’ wild liner; it feels much stiffer, and the liner feels a lot creamier and heavy on my face.

but that’s not wet n’ wild’s fault – and this liner does have GORGEOUS color payoff, good staying power, and is far easier to apply than e. l. f. ‘s, making it great for people who are just starting to experiment with liquid eyeliner and want and easy place to begin.

I have been a fan of Body Shop products for like, 20 years. I’ve been using their liquid eyeliner for all this time but I’m afraid we are now departing on bad terms. The last THREE liquid eyeliners I’ve purchased have been ok for a little bit but then go all gloopy.

Really not what you want, a blob of black stuck on your eye. I did email them to say and the refunded me on the one. I had hoped it was just a bad one but THREE! Maybe a bad batch? I don’t know. So £18 or so wasted on blobby eyeliners ☹️ I really don’t know what’s happened but I hope they get it sorted out.

For now I’m onto Rimmel.

I admit this was my first foray into liquid eyeliner. I typically use felt tip but I wanted the intense color of a liquid versus anything else. Cleanup on this brush is really easy with a wet Q-tip but I guess I thought the applicator would be more like a brush.

The tip on this does not bend, so I can’t get the swooping wings I do daily. The liquid clings to the applicator and if you don’t scrape it off inside the bottle there is no way you can apply a clean line.

I instead use a felt tip eyeliner as my “outline” and fill in with the liquid. This keeps it from bleeding but I still get the intensity of the color. Overall this is okay, I dislike I still need two items.

I have been looking for a reasonably priced eyeliner that is Leaping Bunny (cruelty free) certified, and this is it. I was using Urban Decay perversion eyeliner, but it’s a bit harsh on the skin and expensive.

So, I tried to use E. L. F. eyeliner, and my eyelids would swell up from an allergic reaction. I found this when stocking up on essentials, and it’s wonderful. It stays on, and is easy to remove with the non-waterproof make up remover that The Body Shop sells.

The only reason this isn’t rated a 5 is that the container is made with plastic #7, which basically means it’s not recyclable. I came to The Body Shop to lower my environmental impact, and saying that this product is recyclable is misleading.

I never write reviews but this deserves to be talked about, and not for all good reasons. Pros: hands down one of the most pigmented eyeliners I have ever used. I am an eyeliner fanatic and am immensely picky.

With that being said, I bought this twice. It’s intensely black, easy to use, and stays on forever. Cons: it dries out SO fast. I’d say like within 2-3 months, I noticed I could barely finish one eye.

The tip is the first to dry out, and because I do a super precise end when I do my liner, this is disappointing. I’ve tried it both on bare eyelids and glam eyeshadow. Partly the reason I bought two of these within months is that as much as I love the product, it is frustrating when I can’t even finish one eye.

I keep having to switch back and forth between the two liners. That being said, I still recommend this eyeliner to all my friends and fam because it’s not easy to find one that is as pigmented and longlasting as this one.

My new found favorite! I indulged in this after much anticipation. Because most of them love this eyeliner to bits! And the liner proved me that each and every word raved about this is nothing but the truth!!! I love the pen, it is sleek and not too slippery.

I love the brush tip which makes it easy to create a wide variety of liners. It does last a long time. I live in a humid area and surprisingly it stays put throughout unless my eyes get watery and extremely sweaty.

But for few hours in a dry climate this would look super nice. I love the intensity of the shade black. I highly recommend this!.

The Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Liquid Eyeliner is a matte black liquid eyeliner. It claims to be a pro liquid liner that provides long-lasting, waterproof definition with an effortless flexible tip.

It is free of parabens, vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. When I opening the package of the eyeliner, I immediately noticed the tip of the eyeliner. It was thin, which I love because it allows for a precise, thin line when lining the upper waterline.

I also liked that it was matte. It didn’t look glossy on my eyelids. I wore this liquid liner throughout the week and to work. The eyeliner lasted all day on my upper waterline with no smudging or movement.

The pigmentation is great for a black eyeliner, and I felt like this eyeliner would be perfect for beginner and pro makeup users. A person could get a thin or thick line using this liquid liner. I have been using this liquid liner for 2+ weeks, and the eyeliner has not dried out as of yet.

I would highly recommend this product, the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Liquid Liner in the shade “Super Black”, to my family and friends.

The bareMinerals Maximist Liquid Liner I tried was in the shade Maximist Black. According to bareMinerals, the liner is colored with mineral pigments and it is also a clean beauty item, vegan, and cruelty-free.

The liner is a waterproof vegan formula that uses a microalgae complex to promote thicker lashes. I have not used this product long enough to know if there are benefits of thicker lashes, but I appreciate the vegan formula and the concept of an eye makeup product that also improves my lashes during use.

I have not worn this eyeliner in water to check if it is truly waterproof, but I tried a smudge test on my wrist and was very impressed with the liner’s staying power, as it did not smudge or move at all when I rubbed my finger against it five minutes after application.

I did not try to smudge it around my eye area, but after application it stayed in place. This liner is fragrance free and has a flexible brush that allows me to apply liner gently in the delicate eye area.

The tip is thin and precise. The packaging is advertised as made with 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and the size of the liner is 3 ml, which I find to be an appropriate size. Overall, I enjoyed this product because of its easy application and significant staying power.

I am more inclined to purchase items that are vegan, cruelty-free, clean beauty, and use bio-friendly packaging than are not, so if purchasing an eyeliner I would reach for this product and recommend it to others for those reasons, as well as its excellent performance.

The eyeliner I have been using religiously was discontinued last year and I’ve been searching for a replacement ever since. I’ve used eyeliner (wing and cat-eye) for 20+ years now so I’ve tried many brands and applicators.

I gotta say this formula is really nice. It goes on incredibly smooth. Even lines, WITH NO SKIPPING! Dries quickly which is great since I have hooded eyes and liner that takes long to dry ends up smeared on my eyelids.

And the brush is great for thin lines and sharp points. I’d say the applicator might be my favorite I’ve used. I have years of experience applying eyeliner, but the brush is so effortless even a novice would be able to do it.

And if you do make a mistake the formula cleans up super easy. My last eyeliner was a pain to remove if you needed to do any cleanup. This kind I was able to easily use a q-tip to clean up a too thick line.

Yet, the formula had great wear. Held up through the day and washed off easily in the evening. My only complaint would be that I wish it was a little darker/more pigmented. At times I have to go over my line because the first pass doesn’t look very black.

Beautiful colour, little sticky but it’s liquid eyeliner so I’m not surprised, and anyhow, it dries very quickly and very well. Easy to apply, too, so long as you don’t shake your hand too much!

This eyeliner is great -bold colour and lasts very well. It stayed on for a 12 hour day without budging! The applicator is fairly easy to use too.
