20 Best Lime Juice For Margaritas (2023 Updated)

I can’t imagine having a kitchen or bar without roses lime juice. 2 years ago there was a lime shortage which caused limes to be extremely expensive. It took another year for those shortages to show up in the lime juice market.

Every distributor I know ran out of roses sweetened condensed lime juice. I spent hundreds of dollars buying every brand of lime juice I could find. I still have several cases of random brands of lime juice sitting in the back of my kitchen.

I was disappointed with every single one of them. There is no suitable substitute.

My brother in law use this a lot to make us a Margaritas 🍹, those Margaritas are just delicious he uses more other things but one of that is thus lime juice, and make a delicious difference. Try it and compare!.

I have brought it back once and told them the color indicates that it’s not good! The manager said all the bottles are that color and assured me it’s fine! I tried opening it last night and indeed it was not! I now have to bring it back yet again!.

I ordered Castella 100% Lime juice in a 1 gallon jug case of 4 for home use. I go through about 75 fresh limes per week in my cooking and beverages and it is very pricey. I use the juice for homemade carnitas, Margaritas, white sangrias, salad dressings, guacamole etc.

This is an excellant product I highly recommend you try it if you love lime juice. It is also excellant for making homemade limeade.

I was skeptical, but the lime juice is good. The product we received had a slightly different label but the ingredients were still correct. There was some slight separation in the form of some sediment, but after shaking etc it seemed to go away.

I would recommend a VERY good shake before opening.

This could be the worst attempt at lime juice I’ve ever tasted. It is so bitter and tart, it is unusable. I actually add 2 cups of sugar to 1 gallon and still couldn’t use it in my Margaritas. The closest thing I can compare it to are the warhead candies that they used to sell.

Look for a different product.

This lemon juice is so nice to have on hand. You can use it for so many different things. And it doesn’t go bad as quickly like a regular lemon. Tonight is lemon garlic chicken and potatoes. I’m excited!.

I’ve purchased Great Value Lemon Juice in the past, which is very good, but this time, I decided that, for a little more money, Id try the top shelf stuff. It didn’t disappoint. ReaLemon is really “lemony”, meaning, that it tastes and smells more like fresh squeezed lemons.

Is it a huge difference and worth the extra seventy cents per bottle? Probably not, but I’m glad I bought 2 bottles.

Product is good, however the bottles were only 12.5 oz. and the merchant was not reachable. Walmart refunded purchase and let me keep them.

We don’t use this in cocktails. Love it in Coca Cola Zero – cuts a little of the sweetness, along with some lemon juice. Buy it all the time

I really like this lime juice. It tastes more authentic than the “finest call premium lime juice”. Differences:Finest call single pressed lime: not from concentrate, opaque, no sugar addedFinest call premium lime: from concentrate, clear, has high fructose corn syrup.

A great shelf stable lime juice that works well against freshly squeeze juice. Definitely better when mixed that on its own. Best for well mixes and fast slung drinks.

The finest call premium single pressed lime juice is exceptionally good. Fresh and really like using the real thing. Perfect for our cooking and adding a lime zest.

I use lime juice quite a bit in drinks, so having a large quantity to fill from and being able to save a good deal of money is fantastic. While I haven’t tried the cheaper option yet, I don’t think I want to since I know this is the real deal.

Easy to use, affordable, great to have on hand, convenient for travel. I would add this product to seafood and pico de gallo, or any other food that might call for lime juice if I don’t have fresh limes on hand.

This set of four one gallon lime juice bottles is an unbeatable value. Our company has spent more on very small bottles of the same lime juice. The bottles were individually wrapped in plastic too.

Since discovering Santa Cruz Pure Organic Lemon Juice, I will never go back to any other brand! It tastes delicious. For those wondering, it has 2mg Vitamin C per 2 tsp. (Which would be about 3mg per tbsp).

My only recommendation to the company would be to add the Vitamin C information to the label to avoid any customer confusion when they’re deciding which lemon juice to purchase. I use this delicious, organic, non-GMO lemon juice when making “Snake Juice” which is a homemade electrolyte drink I take when fasting.

I have been purchasing this for the last couple of years. Before I was squeezing several lemons, which can be very messy. I usually stock up with at least five bottles for fear the public may finally discover what a great product it is and then the store will run out.

And let’s face it, it seems when the store continually runs out of a product because it is bought out, they stop carrying it! I almost wondered why the label did not state the amount of Vitamin C in the juice but found it by reading the reviews.

I have not seen pure grapejuice or other juice made by this company that is organic and pure. Many mornings I use about 1/2 cup with the sole (salt) in hot water.

I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve been making my margaritas with readily available cheap-o lime juice (too lazy to squeeze). Santa Cruz = margarita perfection. So delicious! So wonderfully fresh tasting, I don’t even think the limes I DO squeeze could taste so convincingly, fragrantly, sweet-tartly fresh.

It’s also really nice splashed into a glass of chilled water. Sunshine in a bottle. It’s catching on in my house, so I just ordered two more bottles lest we run out!.

I am someone who is fighting cancer. The 7 or 8 glasses-of lemon water i drink daily raises my ph level. Cancer cannot survive in a ph body it has kept me cancer free. Only if i stop drinking the lemon juice ,the cancer returns as my ph will drop, so I buy dozens of bottles of the lemon juice every month or so.

I mostly use it in my drinking water. I started off small amount and increased the quantity as i got more accustomed. My doctor recommended it. Raising your ph can save your life. I highly recommend it.

I didn’t used to think the brand of lime juice would make much difference in a drink’s flavor but I was wrong! My sister who is a bartender always says that Rose’s is the only lime juice worth using.

It turns out that she is completely right! It will elevate the taste of any drink you add it to!.

Rose’s lime juice is like McDonald’s. It’ll get the job done, but you’re not doing yourself any favors. The Bar Smith brand is barely more expensive but tastes way better.

Unnatural flavor. This is more like a lime syrup. A fresher lime juice Is an improvement over Rose’s. I recommend staying away from Ross’s and finding a more natural product or simply squeezing fresh lime juice.

Either way, stay away from Ross’s, even the price isn’t enough to attract someone with really taste buds.

This is a good alternative to freshly squeezed limes. I like to have fresh limes but since the pandemic they can be hard to find. The packaging is small and doesn’t take up much fridge space and the juice is easy to dispense.

It tastes just like lime juice.

I just don’t like it, it’s not like the lime juice I’m used to. Not sure why, too much preservative? And having to puncture to open is annoying, made a mess doing it with a knife because that’s all I had ready.

I consider myself to be a margarita snob, if you are not using fresh (squeezed today) lime juice, I didn’t even want to taste your margarita. So, I was already set against Nellie & Joe’s Key West Lime Juice before even trying it.

I have to admit though, this stuff has changed my mind. It puts that nice pucker effect on the back end of the margarita. If you like your margarita with a little “bite”, that pucker effect, then all you half to so is use like a 1/4 or maybe a 1/2 ounce of this stuff, its really potent, no need to use a full ounce.

Actually, I find the BEST was yo use this stuff is to put 1/2 ounce of it an a cup along with 1/2 ounce of honey. NOT the store bought honey, I’m talking about the raw, unpasteurized honey that has never been heated to about 98 degrees, the stuff you have to spoon out because it does not pour.

Let them sit together and merge together, then the mixture will pour. I think I like the mixture better than limes now because limes can be inconsistent. My mixture always taste sweet but with the sour end! Anyway, on my next order I will be ordering several bottles of this stuff.

Those leaving reviews claiming this isn’t key lime juice need to educate themselves. Key West Limes ARE Key Limes. Most just shorten the term. They are the same thing. Also known as Mexican Limes, or West Indies Limes.

The large, thick skinned, very green limes people think of as regular limes are actually Persian Limes and are more acidic than the Key West Limes. That said, when making something like Key Lime Pie if you can’t find enough ripe Key Limes to juice then this is the next best thing! Do NOT follow someone else’s advice saying to just get cheaper regular lime juice instead because it is absolutely not the same thing! My local Walmart almost never has fresh Key Limes that are close to ripe so I tend to buy this once summer hits and use it in everything that calls for Key Lime juice.

My experience was awful with this stuff. I attempted a few different drinks with the specific purpose of maining whiskey sour. It’s just way too conentrated and tart tasting. This vs a fresh squeezed lemon has a totally different taste.

Even though the ingredients list squeezed lemons/oils it tasted artificial. I’m not sure how anyone can use this, maybe it’s good for baking?.

It is very difficult to find the organic version of this product, especially in smaller quantities. We are sharing the package with a friend and will keep them refrigerated so we can keep making more pies.

We found that the amount of sugar used in the pie recipe can be reduced to one forth and the pie is still plenty sweet and very delicious.

There are days when even my south Texas grocery store doesn’t have Key Limes. It’s great to have Joe and Nellie’s in the fridge for those days. I prefer fresh squeezed, but this is the next best thing.

It is delicious I will say it does taste a little different from real squeezed limes but still overall good. RECCOMMEND for people who likes limes!!

I used to send so much time, effort and money prepping dishes for potlucks, work parties, friendsgiving. now I just buy a few bottles of TA and ask someone else to bring tequila. Easiest, funnest affordable item to bring to parties.

We love having this juice in our house. It’s the perfect addition to any cocktail or mocktail and tastes like it was fresh squeezed for months after opening. Definitely beats squeezing yourself (especially for large parties) or letting fresh limes get dried up and go to waste.

Unlike our last order of your lime juice, which was pulp free, these two bottles arrived full of pulp. This order was considerably more bitter than the last. Could that have been the pulp?

I tried to always get my line juice from Walmart I didn’t have any last time I tried to order I’m glad there are back in stock. All so very glad that has the pop top lid on them now Makes it much easier to use Thank you.

I’ve been using this for a few years now and it’s great. I mix a little of this with lemon juice in water for a simple refreshing drink. I also use it in adult mixed drinks, to marinate chicken and in other recipes.

Just as good as the name brand stuff.

As a bartender, I hate not using real lime juice. But sometimes you just have to make Do and this brand is the best backup. It does what its supposed to, and its cheap to buy. But if you are wanting to use this at home, then just use real limes.

It summertime and I definitely enjoy sitting outside drinking a cocktail. My go to is a good margarita! I was super excited when I saw these individual margarita mixers. It is so easy to pop the top, mix with a few shots of your favorite tequila, add ice and voila! a delicious, refreshing margarita.

The flavor of the mix is really yummy, its not to sweet, but not too sour. It tastes as good if not better than some of the other mixes I have bought. I would definitely recommend giving it a try! I am excited to try some of the other flavors in the future.

Last weekend, I got a four pack & took it to the pool to share. I don’t typically like Margaritas becaise usually the mix tastes like fake lime flavor with a lot of saltiness. NOT THE CASE with Q Margarita Mix.

Mixed with our favoirte taquilla & everyone who tried it at the pool thought it tasted great! Q Mix had a natiral lime flavor and was not too tart or too sweet. Just the right combination. The reason for 4 stars was because fresh limes would have to be a 5.

Will definately try it again and some of the other Q Mixes as well.

We loved the Q Margarita! Nothing says the start of summer like a nice cold margarita right, so when I got this I didn’t have great expectations, honestly I’ve tried several brands and just pretty much expected the same.

Suprise, this stuff is actually really good. It’s light and flavorful. We added fresh lime juice, triple sec and a top shelf tequila. It was so tasty and good! I would definitely recommend!.

2 stars for the effort of using actual agave tequila and not some fake cheap tequila to make this. Not happy with the taste though. Its too ‘factory’ to taste.
