20 Best Lightweight Boots For Work (2023 Updated)

Purchased 3. 5 months ago. I expected them to be cheap throw-aways, but I was wrong. These have already lasted longer than the muck, bogs, and dunlops I have previously purchased, and they weigh about 1/4th or less.

I was so tired of boots falling apart that I tried these just based on price. They are considerably more comfortable, and the durability is outstanding. Will be purchasing a back up pair today. I hope they continue to make these for a long long time.

I am 100% sold.

I love the light weight of the boot, however, I have a lawn spraying business so I use the boots for spraying chemicals. I wear jeans and the boots rub my pant legs and cause blisters on my calfs. I hate to have to buy a different pants since I usually use thrift store jeans since they get stained from chemicals.

I’m not sure the guarantee is covered for this.

Ordered Monday, received Thursday. Ordered one size larger, still have room for heavy socks. Super lightweight (perfect for my bad hip). Comfortable, easy on and off. Tried them briefly in snow, they’ll get a better test behind my snow blower next storm.

Excellent product.

The boot fits as expected among common sizes. It is easy on the feet, lightweight but with good ankle coverage. The leather is thin compared to most work boots but makes for easy working and walking.

the sole is lightweight but not like a tennis shoe. About like an old combat boot sole. Very much worth the money. I put a cushion sole insert to give it a little comfort. I tried them on in the store but TSC cant keep them in stock in common sizes.

I ordered them online.

Boots are well made with one exception – the gromets. This is my second pair of this boot. After a few months wear the gromets get worn and sharp and ruin the shoe strings. I ended up taking the gromets out and then the new shoe strings lasted fine.

This is my only complaint about the boots. They are light weight provide good support and are comfortable to wear all day.

They look great. They are light. The sizing was correct (I wear a 9. 5), it was true to that. I put these on just to check the size when they first arrived. Fit great! Just walked around my room a bit.

Kept them on for a half hour or so. THEN, I just had drill weekend. Put them on and within 30 minutes, I had a blister on my left heel the size of a nickel, and a blister on my right heel the size of a penny.

It is a good thing that I had another (older) pair to wear and that I keep a first aide kid with me. I had to peel off the blistered skin, apply neosporin and a large band-aide to both heels, change my socks and use my old boots.

In the heel of these boots, on the inside cup, is material that is just like the outer material, rough cowhide. I’m guessing maybe, to help hold the heel in place or something. It was terrible (the pain on my heels.

I have never experienced this with any other boots. I don’t have a “condition” with my heels, and I am not a “tenderfoot”. I wear military and work boots all of the time. I will be returning these. The price was good, they look great, they are light, I like the lacing system, BUT the material in the inside heel area is definitely problematic.

I cut mole-skin pieces to adhere to the inside cup area of the heel, and tried again with them the next day. My already existing blisters probably didn’t help, but I had to change the boots out again, in about an hour.

Very disappointed.

Had these 5 months. Won’t go back to steel toes that freeze over in flight. No squeak, laces holding up, no tears or fraying (yet). My feet still get tired climbing stands. Might need better insoles, but good fit and comfort for the price.

Boots came in original box nicely packaged. No damage and was in brand new condition. They fit perfectly! I normally wear 8. 5 in regular shoes but I went with size 8 Wide since I know that boots run a bit bigger especially in wide sizes.

It has really good high arch support and very soft inside. I first bought a pair of Bates Ranger II but returned it because they felt too narrow even with wide size. It also felt poorly made and had damage on the sole.

Comparing the weight to those, this feels a little bit heavier than the Bates. It does have a thicker sole and better lining inside. I would highly recommend these if you’re looking for a wide size and high arch boots.

Really happy with the purchase, but I was expecting it to be a little lighter. Overall it was a good buy.

I bought my first pair of Moab series a years ago. Was disappointed and agreed with other reviewers (that I didn’t head the warning) that most of the Moab series are mostly “water-resistant”. A stroll through early morning wet grass and socks and feet were soaked within a few minutes.

This is due to most of the Moab series having what appears to be a mesh material in between the leather strapping that wraps the sides and part of the top of the shoe. I like the look this design gives and the support it creates for wide feet that I have.

As for water proofing. Fail every time. Not sure how Merrell keeps most of the Moab series advertised as “waterproof”. Now for the Moab 2 Prime all leather. The mesh was replaced with full leather strips all the way around.

THIS makes it a sealed leather shoe/boot IMO. I have walked through puddles and even stood in some and my feet remained dry. Does this make the shoe not so breathable? Yes, and that is the point of an actual “waterproof” footwear.

I will say being a veteran and having worn a lot of boots. Even though it’s all leather with little breathability. My feet do not sweat in these boots like they do in others. I think this is due to the outstanding cushioning that makes up the inner side walls of the boot.

Very comfortable and I wear them a vast majority of the time as a person who has a career in the water and wastewater industry. However, when the going gets tuff, I switch to rubber boots with steel toe.

As is a reasonable act to do. The Moab 2 “all leather” is my everyday go to work/hiking boot for legitimate ‘WATERPROOF” footwear. Very durable and comfortable boot. Most definitely waterproof.

First pair I bought on Amazon around June of 2010, it’s now a year and a half later and I’m here to buy a second pair of the same model. My objective was to find a boot that I could wear riding my motorcycle to work, comfortable to work in (a healthcare setting) and also waterproof so it wouldn’t matter if I got urine, vomit, feces, blood, etc on them.

These boots are perfect for my needs, and I see them as versatile enough for backpacking, adventure, and/or security professionals. After a year, there was a spot worn in the Achille’s tendon area from my heel rubbing the material when I slipped the boot on and off.

I sewed in a piece of sacrificial fabric and they lasted another 6 months. Honestly, they could keep going except the waterproofing is shot. I tried spraying them heavily with Kiwi silicone waterproofing but that only kind of worked for a month or so.

But I’m happy with 1. 5 years of service for this quality boot. Better than some of the $80 boots on Amazon that the sole peels off of in 6 months. I’d rather have one pair of these for a year, than two pairs of those.

I have been wearing steal toed boots for 30 years, replacing them about every 2 years so I have worn my fair share of boots. I decided to try out the Merrell Moab Vertex as I have used there hiking boots and love them.

Well this boot is the worst boot I have ever worn, not comfortable, I have a constant blood blister on my middle toe but only on my left foot. Something is digging into my left heal, they are super super stiff.

The laces NEVER stay tied and I mean NEVER, once you do any unusual movement with your foot the laces are loose. the area around the ankle is so stiff you can not tighten the shoe enough to get ankle support with out causing major discomfort elsewhere in the foot.

My laces are pretty much destroyed and I have had the boots for 3 months now. I honestly can not find any positives about this boot. I have emailed customer support with no answer so Doubt I will be buying Merrell boots again.

If you are looking for steal toe work boots I would stay away from these lemons.

These feel just like some comfortable tennis shoes. I did not notice a break in time as they felt good from the beginning. The use of these are in a max fed prison so they see some use. After 4-6 months in, the toe seam started separating.

Shortly after, the bottom on the inside front started separating. Somehow, in the middle of the arch right above the sole, the fabric has a small tear on the in and outside. The fabric on the toe has started peeling off as well.

Lets not forget to mention, if you want these for water proofing when a unit floods. forget about it. I had poo water in my socks the first time a unit flooded in these. At least they are light, comfortable and well ventilated.

And metal detector safe zipper is a nice touch. I would look for something else if you are in a prison.

Very disappointed… The shoe is nice, but the dauntless Reebok on falls website is the old dauntless, which I wanted. This one I got is new dauntless style. You need to change to the new style, cuz I’m telling you the old style looks way better than new style.

Again nice shoe , but big time disappointed. Thought I was getting old dauntless style, which is way better than new style. Galls please fix this. Your going to have a lot of unsatisfied customers.

Just received today. Size is perfect 9. 5W. First impression on tops, sides, zipper- seems durable, very comfortable, soft, great quality as long as it holds up. First impression of the insoles is not quite as good, very soft and thicker than others made them sound, however the shape of the insoles combined with the shape of the front of the boot bends my toes in and upward at an awkward angle so much so that I noticed my toes rubbing together and startingto burn from it within 2 minutes.

They also made my whole foot feel like it was being bent down in the arch. Kinda hurt. I removed the inserts, replaced them with my old inserts from my Rocky Alphaforce side zip boots. They fit perfectly luckily, on top onn those I put my Dr Scholl’s arch inserts.

Same combo I had in old boots. This helps eliminate 75%of the issue. Still feel the toe issue but it’s less. The arch and heel feel better. Tomorrow is first full day, hopefully they will break in around the toes, if not I will look at trying whole shoe arch inserts or replacing these with Merrel of UA.

I will re-post after trying them for a bit on how they worked out.

I’m a diesel mechanic, I’m on my feet all day and need comfort. It’s been only two months since I purchased and these boots are pretty decent. They got very dirty of course but have held up to some abuse so far.

I used doctor scholls inserts along with the regular inserts and it took up some extra space in the boot due to my thin feet el-oh-el. If I could suggest anything it would be to not wear these in winter as I feel they won’t hold up well due to the material.

Otherwise they’re a good boot and haven’t deformed in any way yet. If they came in low tops that would make them better for more allowance of ankle mobility.

These shoes are awesome. Comfortable* and stylish. I wore these for almost 7 months now, and they are still holding up very well** I am getting tired of lacing these almost all the way down to slide my foot inside, but that just comes with it being a high-top, so no points off for that.

I’m just lazy. Toe holds up very well, I did have the laces break at one point, but those are easily replaced. 5/5, great shoes, not for myself personally anymore. * With long socks on, can chafe/rub without.

**I dont have a extremely demanding job, just need them for safety rules.

love these boots! or not boots but sneakers? sneaker boots! have had them for about 3 months now and haven’t had any issue with them. they are incredibly comfortable and haven’t had any issues with foot pain.

they don’t feel clunky. They feel very natural almost as if they were a heavy-duty trail running shoe. I love the design of these. they look so cool! which is why I got them. glad I found these.

I hope to come back and update this review after all transactions have been completed. First, I have been a Red Wing customer for a decade but wanted to break free from the “look” of standard leather safety boots.

The Carhartt Force® 6-Inch Nano Composite Toe Work Boot seemed to be a perfect cross between the casual hiker and work boot I was looking for to meet my needs in field and office environments. It was also great to find out they offer a discount to Veterans.

Ordering was simple (my standard American size and medium width), and the boots were on their way. They arrived just one day after the estimated delivery date. I absolutely loved the way they looked! Initial try-on, I noticed a lump in the stitching on the right boot where the togue attached to the upper.

When I tied the boot snugly it was painful on my ankle. The left boot was fine and did not have the same issue. I figured it may work itself out during break-in, so I loosened the laces a bit and went on my way.

After several hours I noticed my right knee and hip were feeling strained and it felt as if my right foot was tilted left and walking off center to the sole of the boot. I kept trying to correct but could not.

I believe the soul was assembled (glued) slightly off from the upper, I could not wear these shoes! I went online and initiated a return that evening and received the authorization promptly. Kudos for the automated customer service and ease of returns.

They don’t offer exchanges, so I went online and ordered another pair that same night. I hope the issues I had were a fluke because I really like the look of these boots. I boxed and mailed the boots back the next day and verified the tracking number was received.

I am trusting that the credit will be applied for the first pair since I now have two pairs billed to me. As of today (over 24-hours) I haven’t received a confirmation on my new order. I will follow up if nothing by tomorrow.

As a note to other potential purchasers, when I reordered the second pair, I went ½ size larger. I would have been ok with the original size had I not had the other issues, but the toes seemed just a hair tight perhaps due to the composite toe.

I believe the additional ½ larger will provide a little more space for the toes to breathe when feet swell due to the summer heat. As I said, hope to keep you posted when the next pair arrives.

I’m a lineman for National Grid and work between 60-90hrs every week. I’m constantly on my feet and was looking for a boot that was comfortable but also safe for my work environment. Seeing these boots online they looked like they could get the job done but unfortunately once I got them I realized this was not the case.

They looked slightly different in person. The fit was a bit bigger than I expected. On the first day I wore them we were off road in a muddy area and I realized these boots have zero traction. I was slipping and sliding and finding it hard to move around as I wanted to.

They also weren’t very well insulated. It’s a shame I am really a devoted carharrt customer and the company is always very supportive. Unfortunately this product wasn’t the right fit to me and I plan on seeking options to return or find a better boot.

I have only worn them once and have cleaned them. The boots have no damage.

ive researched over 1000 boots in 10 years this is my new favorite first thing i do is take out the insole who needs insole if you build a shoe right im a size 12 these offer plenty of space plenty of width nano composite is the most powerful keyword today in boot research nano comp is compliant and lighter these are a beautiful clean rugged colorway very lightweight ill measure the grams when i get home you really cant beat the polyester knit upper fabric i work at okc water plant with ple ty of pressure these are almost too dry because i like t get my feet wet.

i spray ght at 86 psi for a minute before it gets to my feet. outsole is a little flat but does offer flexibility in its waffle shape kinda like the 200 miles i ran in those nike frees laces seem a little thin but hey its poly stuff is like paracord plenty strong lots of cush on the lace when u tighten it they have good arch support with or without the sole.

if u ever get sand in these boots from the river you have to perform surgery cut the ankle at the achilles and open a hole then split the inner foot adhesive from the shoe flip it inside out and then blow all the sand with an air compressor.

this shoes weakest link is how much freakin sand gets pcked in but its only 2 holes right at each side of the bottom of the tongue if carhartt will seal it and install a impermeable liner this shoe will win the stock market maybe also a dark grey colorway or as carhartt calls it “peat” would be gorgeous thanks.

I just received them a little over a week ago so I have only worn them a few times, with that being said though even in the snow here in New York at 28 degrees my feet stayed warm and dry. I did notice where most footwear you slip and slide a lot on packed snow and ice.

I can say with these hikers they did grip very well and another point they are really light so it makes it easier to hike further without fatigue.

I didn’t expect alot for $40+, however i’m very pleased with the construction of these shoes. It was a real bonus to get an extra pair of laces also. Those are usually the first to go on my work shoes.

Used for general construction and residential remodeling work. I buy new boots every Spring and have bought these in April 2019. (- May 2020) – These boots have been comfortable throughout their one year of use, so much so that the original inserts have not been exchanged.

– These also weigh significantly less than a leather steel toe boot, which means less fatigue by the end of the day. – They have held up impressively well through their heavy use, with only a few scuffs and small punctures in the fabric portions.

For perspective, the steel toe is exposed having worn through the leather on my previous boots. These are being replaced only because it’s time, not out of necessity. They’re not yet retired for good but I deserve a new shoe.

Pretty comfortable boot,but narrow. I normally wear an 11 D had to get them in an 11 W. I work indoors on concrete floors,so not concerned about boots being water resistant like some other reviewers.

Seems well made ,we’ll see how they hold up.

This is an excellent boot at this price point. Leather is soft and subtle and not much breaking in needed. The boot is heavy and not as light weight as had hoped for. However given the protection it offers it stands to reason why the boot is heavy.

I have worn it all day for a few days and so far my feet don’t hurt and they get more comfortable as the day progresses. The only thing I would recommend is adding padding around the ankle at the top of the boot.

Otherwise great boot so far. I would highly recommend it.

When I first picked up the boots by hand, they felt a bit heavy, but that was okay. Because all boots are heavier than sneakers. But when I put it on, I was pleasantly surprised. It was so comfortable!! The sole is very soft.

The texture of the leather is good, and the soft pad is padded so it feels good to wrap the foot. And it was easy to walk. Thanks for making a great product. I will wear it well. International shipping has not been delivered to Korea yet, so I bought it through a delivery agent, and I think I will buy it again next time.

My husband is a landscaper and he is up and down all day. He said he loved the work boots. Very comfortable and easy to carry on. Will definitely be buying from Bonanza. We knew about Bonanza when the pandemic started and when sears closed.

We used to buy the work boots from sears but ever since they closed it was hard finding great quality boots. We had trouble finding the correct durable boots. Bonanza has really made it work for us. Will definitely recommend Bonanza work boots to anyone.

I work in Corrections and am constantly on my feet on hard surfaces. I also spend a lot of time hiking in the woods and outdoors as well as hunting. I have been through about 3 pairs of the Tachyon Gore-Tex boots and I am absolutely thrilled.

After the military, I have a lot of issues with my feet and finding a comfortable pair of boots is very difficult for me. These boots are so light, so comfortable, I refuse to wear anything else. Recently my employer offered to buy me boots but Danner has been sold out for quite awhile.

I told my company I would rather wait until these were back in stock. These boots have held up so well given the punishment I have put them through. The waterproofing works great until you start to get cracks which takes quite awhile.

If taken care of these boots will easily last you 1. 5-2 years. At a price point of $150 you just cannot beat them. They offer military discounts as well. My only complaint is that they do not / will not provide other sole options.

I realize they are glued on as opposed to stitched on but If I could get ripple soles on these boots I would be in heaven. Would easily pay $200 for these boots with ripple soles. Only reason for my 4 star rating.

I love these boots! Lightweight, comfortable, and break in quickly. I think of them almost as rugged sneakers. I bought 2 more pairs so that I can alternate them, and also have a future backup. I did put Superfeet brand green insoles in them.

I especially like the pull-on loop on the back. I intend to wear them primarily for hiking and other outdoor activities, so I looked at many different brands of boots, both military boots and civilian hiking styles, and I looked at various different models of Danner boots.

At 39 ounces, Tanicus was among the very lightest. For comparison, my Asics running shoes are 23 ounces per pair, and many military boots are 40-50 ounces per pair – some as heavy as 80 ounces. Very happy with my Tanicus, and I highly recommend them!.

Personal boot recommendation, if you’re looking for a lightweight absolutely positively %100 waterproof (I know it’s a run on sentence get over it) breathable boot this is it. I know what you’re thinking: “but water will get in it anyway” cool story bro it’s not happening.

I know what else you’re thinking: “but it won’t breath and my feet will sweat” bro you are full of cool stories but that’s not happening either. Don’t let the slim/lightweight foundation fool you, you’re not sacrificing comfort.

I’ve had mine going on 2 years with %80 consistent use on the job as a L-9 officer. No wear & tear yet. You furthermore can’t beat the warranty. Complaints are like boots, everyone has them, but they are not Danners.

Stop complaining and buy these boots.

I got these boots origionally hoping for a lightweight, indoor boot that I could walk in all day. I also wanted a boot that would hold up when in the (water) trenches. I can say I was disappointed with my experience.

When I recieved the boot I noticed just how bulky they were. Almost kind of clunky. The bulkiness reminded me of a pair I was given a while ago from walmart. When I put them on I noticed it was kind of difficuly to get the boots tight with the laces.

It was possible, just seemed like a hassle. It could probably be improved if they used D-ring styled inlet straps. The boots felt okay on my soles but I didn’t really enjoy how much room I had above the toe area.

As I walked around, the boots felt like they were clumping around, although the bottoms of my feet felt good from the insoles. On the job the boots were just too bulky. I kept tripping on stairs and kicking tools.

I tried them in a ditch with a bit of water in it and they seemed to hold up well to the moisture. Overall the shoes just felt too blocky and had too much room to improve. The insoles and waterproofing felt good but I couldn’t overcome all the areas that needed improvent.

This is my third purchase of cat safety toe footwear. I wear a wide shoe and have never had problems with the fit. These boots are not wide and I recommend if you have a wider foot do not waste your money on these boots.

Further more, these boots are not comfortable. I work 12 1/2 hour days on concrete floors with very little breaks to rest and my feet are killing me less than half way thru my shift. The last two pair of cats I bought did not have this problem.

My left boot has something poking up from the insole that is digging into my pinky toe. I have searched and searched and have been unsuccessful in finding out what is in there. That was the first thing I noticed about the boot was that there was something poking my foot.

I wore these boots for about 6 weeks before I had had enough of the pain and discomfort. I went back to my old pair of cats that I thought I was replacing. My worn out old boots are far superior to these wastes of money.

The shoes are nice looking and very well made which is the reason for the fair rating but that is about all they have going for them.

The look is awesome but the feel is not so great inside of the boot, it has angle on the outside right under the ankle bone where it rubs perfectly to create blisters and the laces are big and it cuts right in the cordura when you tighten it, so look is a positive the feel is a negative.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews and I’m glad I waited. These boots were very painful to wear, but they are finally broken in and I’m happy. They seem to be constructed well so now time will tell how they hold up to the abuse.

I bought for my 14 year old daughter for Raider’s training and competitions. She loves them! Claims they are light weight and comfortable right-out of the box.

I bought these for my husband because he blows through shoes so fast and has too big of a shoe size to shop in store. So far they have lasted through rain, snow, and miles and miles of walking without hurting his feet, so i call that a win! They were a little long for him but not so much his feet are sliding around.

Would recommend oiling the boots first thing as they are a bit brittle out of the box. I will definitely buy these again when he eventually puts holes in these too!.

The boot is well constructed, nice appearance, however, after a days’ wearing, I had blisters on my heels and the outside bottom of my ankle bones, both sides, were rubbed raw. I’m a lineman for a utility company and I was hoping to wear these when I was doing installations & would not need the high-top safety boots I normally wear when climbing poles.

I cannot return as I wore them and the money spent, $100 + went out the door.

These seem to be well made and look great but, similar to other Carolina steel toe boots I have purchased in the past, they run decidedly narrow compared to what they are labeled. I had to send these back.

I have a pair of Wellington boots from Carolina with a composite toe that I can tolerate for short periods since they are by design a looser style of boot but even those I don’t want to wear for very long.

I wear an 11 1/2 wide and ordered that size but it didn’t fit comfortably. It was disappointing to send them back because they are otherwise a great value for the price.

I bought these boots as a replacement for my last pair of Skecher work boots. Since you no longer make the exact pair, I bought these with high hopes they would be slip resistant. No such luck. After nearly breaking my neck twice at work, I’ll face these to my son and ordered another pair of Skecher boots that have a sole that is advertised as “slip resistant and oil resistant”.

The second pair are definitely slip resistant however they are a lower cut boot and snow can easily get inside the boot. Very disappointed you quit making the tall work boot with the truly slip resistant sole.

I ordered these boots for my husband for Christmas and ended up giving these to him early. He has a wide foot and generally “picky” about what goes on his feet. Before I could even wrap these, he fell on his way to the car from the grocery store.

The boots arrived the previous day, so when we got home from the store I told him to go ahead and open them since it may help prevent future falls. Going off other reviews, I ordered the 11 Wide and they are perfect.

He loves the lightweight, comfort and easy on/off design with the little side zipper. The fact that they are waterproof is an added bonus. Thank you Skechers.

I was looking for a “quick donning” boot. One like a fireman, or military, would use to put on and off quickly, using only the zippers, once the laces were set. This, unfortunately, does not work like that.

I can not put on and off using zippers only. I have to open the zippers, and untie the laces. But, other than that, they are very nice boots. I will keep them, anyway.

My husband hates the time and energy spent on dealing with shoe laces, and the back pain bending over to do it. These boots have laces you set up once and then you use the side zipper to put the boots on and off.

Perfect solution. They are comfortable, warm,and safe for working outside with the steel tip in winter time. I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts because he wore them a few times. Winter is over and I will know better when he gets to use them an entire season.

I received my boots yesterday. I was looking for a women’s tactical boot. While these look and feel nice, the 9 in women’s I thought I was getting was too big for me, obviously only men’s sizes. I wear a women’s 8.

5. I gave them to my niece who wears a women’s 10 and she said they were roomy on her. I will order again smaller for myself. I do like them though.

I bought these shoes because they appeared to be a low profile option for my security work, I was wrong. In the pictures the shoe looks like the foot is going to be a lot closer to the ground however that is deceiving.

When wearing them the physical support does seem not match the natural load bearing points of the foot multiply this by the inch and a half you are off the ground and they feel like imbalanced stilts.

I felt as if the shoes were trying to push my weight outward and my foot inward with each step which with prolonged use may have cause sprained ankles on relatively flat surfaces. In addition even purchasing a wide size they put a little more pressure on the sides of my feet and toes than even some size medium shoes.

Many of these issue might be more pronounced due to me being a 6foot tall male with small wide feet and the imbalances may disappear with larger feet, but wearing shoes that increase your height so much does not seem practical.

Says “Guaranteed Waterproof” on the inside of the boot. At my job im standing in no deeper than 3/4 of an inch of water for a short amount of time. Water does drip directly on the toes from my wet saw, but never on my leg.

I even applied Obenaufs Heavy Duty conditioner at the store. After 2 days the water came through the toes, right past the steel toes and all around the bottom. Very comfortable, but I feel awful that I just used a boot one time and returned them, probably going straight to the trash.

Ill be calling Keen to discuss their R+D with this boot.

This boot looks well made and is very comfortable right out of the box. I have 4E feet and the wide width is a good fit. Unfortunately after less than 6 months of use on a construction site, the soles are in very bad shape and the leather is ripped in a few spots, with one eyelet completely gone.

Apparently the boots cannot be resoled without effecting the safety of the boots. I think this would be a great long lasting boot for casual wear, or non construction / heavy use. I would recommend it for those uses only.

This is my 2nd set. The first was exactly what I wanted and lasted thru my abuse for a long time. The 2nd set fell apart after the 2nd day. Bottom of the sole. After contacting Keen they did warranty them and replaced them at no cost.

There is about a 2-3 week gap where I spent a significant amount of money and was without new footwear for work which requires safety shoes. Id give 4 stars for fixing the issue 2 stars because of the lost time without new footwear.

With the 1st pair being too small at size 12 when I’m a 10. 5, I decided to give it another try and order a size 13 because they seemed really comfortable. The problem with this pair was that the liners were all messed up like someone just shoved them in without caring if they fit or not.

I could not get the liners to fit in the boots the right way on either boot. This made them very uncomfortable to wear. I tried, but ultimately had to send them back. I couldn’t justify paying what I did for a pair of boots that didn’t fit right.

I think I will just go back to my Baffin Miner Boots instead. They also will not exchange boots, so you have to send them back, wait for the money to be refunded on your card, and order a new pair. Size exchanges would make this much more convenient.

They did provide a free return shipping label though, so at least that was nice. I have no hard feelings or ill will towards them. I’m just giving my experience and opinion. I really wish I could’ve gotten these to fit because they seemed very convenient for someone like myself that works in the elements.

Buy 2 sizes bigger. Great advise! After reading the other reviews about sizing. I reluctantly bought 2 sizes bigger. I’m 11 1/2 shoe size, and I bought size 14. And I am very happy I did. Foot slips in smooth, and toes are just right in the toe of the boot.

I do think the Boots sizes are correct, They do not take in account for the removable Insert lining. If you take the lining out, the size will be 2 sizes to big. Refrigiwear needs to address that confusion with the boot sizing.

Reference to: Man, 6’1, 170lbs, Fit body. Uses for: Ice fishing, Hunting, Outdoor winter work. Pro’s: Well built, warm, waterproof, BOA system, removable lining, slip resistant sol, gel insole, comfy.

Con’s: Big boot, sizing confusion, These are super comfy, the gel insole is great! I can run and do jumping jacks with ease. LOL With a coupon and free shipping, these are reasonable compared to other boots of equal.

I wear 11. 5 shoe so I ordered size 13. I could barely get my foot inside, wnen I did my toes were tight against the front. I returned and got size 14. Better but not perfect, still touching front. So for sizing I give 4 stars.

The BOA system is awesome. I hate to tie shoe laces. The slip on loafer was invented for guys like me. About me. I’m 71, retired, with diabetes. That means my feet are always cold from poor circulation.

Normally I would wear 2 pairs of vintage Lectra socks with insulated boots. Swap out the batteries every 3 hours. I didn’t buy these boots to work in, just sit outside because I don’t smoke in the house.

I received my boots yesterday morning, so I was anxious to try them out. I put them on with no socks, and sat outside for 4 hours in 31 degrees. I couldn’t believe my feet felt so warm. I called it a night and went back inside and took my boots off.

My feet was very warm and toasty. Absolutely the warmest boot I ever bought. I wouldn’t want to spend 8 hours walking in these, they are fairly heavy. Like any rubber boots, they are definitely not Tennessee walkers.

If you have cold feet problems like I have, I would highly recommend these boots. Again, the BOA lacing system is awesome, I hope it lasts for a while.

The Good = they look nice, they are comfortable, break-in period is excellent in my opinion as it is almost nonexistent, price is reasonable, the materials seem decent, the customer service is ok. The Bad = claim to be as high quality as the $200+ boots (not in my opinion), came with defects (stitched in a bind between the sole and boot creating a gap for water to get in and grow with use obviously).

They offered to replaced them, so I’ll give them credit, however they did not offer to replace the leather conditioner I used on them. My options were: A. )they expected me to purchase a new pair and not get refunded until they received the ones that previously arrived damaged, or B.

) send them back, wait for exchange approval, then send me the replacement boots. (They said this is because others have received the replacement boots and not returned their original pair, so I get it, but it still stinks for people who are honest) These boots fit different than most and it is a little odd getting used to it, its seems like they are roomier up and down but not so much side to side.

Once you get used to it, its not bad necessarily. If you order the unlined and wear white socks, they will stain them for a while. Overall = If you want a decent boot for a decent price, grab a pair.

If you want a high quality boot with no defects, buy a well-known American made brand and pay $50 to $150 more. These boots are not a bad value at all, but the fact that I as the consumer have to suffer due to a factory defect and quality control, I won’t return as a customer.

They could have won me for life had they made the return process hassle free, but lost me due to that. There are definitely other brands at and around this price point with similar quality. You won’t find a boot at this price point that outshines them much, but that is purely opinion and experience based per the individual.

I appreciate the ideology, but the advertising oversold the quality a tad.

There’s nothing really “wrong” with these boots. But after all of the 5 star reviews I read through I was expecting these to be some sort of next level in comfort or long lasting wear. Took about a half a day to break in and walking/standing comfort is good as of now (1 week in).

The laces are fairly lame. They loosen up throughout the day and certainly are far from heavy duty. I find myself having to tie them 3-4 times a day or walking around with floppy boots. If you wear low rise socks, several hot spots along the top edge of the boots on the inside.

I swapped to longer socks to have some more comfort but in the summer I like to be as cool as possible with shorter socks. These may wear down over time and become more comfortable but after two days of low socks it was wearing my leg raw.

Speaking of hot, these will be good in cooler weather but super hot in the summer time. I wish they made an unlined version, with safety toe. Seems like a lot of other reviewers had similar feelings.

The tread doesn’t really hold dirt, which I think may be the best feature of these. I think it’s partially because the tread depth is so little, 1/16″ to 3/32″. Not sure how these will work once winter or muddier conditions arrive.

A few people have mentioned they look good, which I will agree with. Overall they so far are a decent boot, but I’m no ‘wow’ factor in my opinion. If they hold up well, I may buy another pair or try something else.

For the last 10 years I have worn the same boots. Last fall I ordered a new pair of the same brand and style and to my surprise the quality was no longer there. Not sure if it is due to the current way of the world but no excuses, I needed to find another to replace the old.

My IG was flooded with Brunt ads. I was annoyed at first but then I started to pay attention to them. I noticed was they were about and figured I would give them a try. First thought upon receiving them, they looked very nice and well constructed.

First wear I did not like them. I have had to tell myself several times that I have to give them a chance. (I am a boot snob and I don’t like change) Issues. 1. The tongue of the boot is shorter than the ankle of the boot.

SO when you tie the boot tight the laces are now cutting into your ankle just above the tongue. This is a big issue. 2. Why is the upper tongue and upper ankle insulated (or padded) and waterproof? The tongue and boot split half way down your foot so it is pointless and makes it annoyingly uncomfortable.

The ankle of your boot should be flexible yet supportive. Like I stated above I wear my boots tight, with this upper part of the boot built like this it is dang near impossible to get them tight. I now have to re-tie my boot several times a day to keep them tight.

3. The laces. oh boy the laces. The very first time I laced up these boots I dang near punched myself in the face when the lace broke! THE VERY FIRST TIME!!! I removed the laces and put the laces from the old boot company in them.

Pros. 1. The foot bed is way comfortable! 2. The sole construction and traction is great. 3. They are fantastic looking boots! I went from Timberland PRO® Barstow 6″ alloy toe which used to feel like clouds on my feet to now like 2X4 strapped to my foot.

I would order a pair every other year so each pair would last me 2 years. I didn’t 4 months of comfort this time, the boots still look new, matter of fact the last 2 pair still look new but the foot bed was so uncomfortable I could stand it any longer.

The Brunt Marin Comp Toe seems so far to be a good boot. As of right now I do not see myself buying another pair unless the construction changes in the ankle area. It just feels super restricted and actually hurts when trying to bend down to work.

Shipping was crazy fast! I hope to see some changes or maybe another style with a slimmer ankle in the future. Here’s to the future!! @clarkboyzdad.
