20 Best Lift Kit For F150 (2023 Updated)

I was in need to replace the old RC leveling kit due to the previous rear blocks breaking in two. I decided to replace it all with an entire new set, it was extremely affordable and fast delivery after purchase.

Didn’t give it a 5 star due to the new set still having the Hard Plastic rear blocks, which will in time break. Wish they were metal!.

2020 F-150 XLT! I originally was indecisive upon ordering any leveling kit due to warranty void and suspension angles on a brand new truck. I just knew I wanted to get rid of that downward rake look yet I didn’t want a full on lift! With readylift I was able to do just that by not voiding my warranty, not stress out my suspension, and get that lift up front I was looking for.

I researched a bunch of reviews like this one all the way from AT trucks and through multiple F-150 forums. After going back and forth between coilovers and a spacer level I decided to go with this kit to save more towards wheels and tires.

Called up my local ford dealership the next day to find out about warranty issues in which i found out this is the exact kit they use to level there new trucks thus not voiding warranty. So I placed the order the next day and within 3 business days AT trucks had it on my doorstep! I did install the kit myself at a mechanic buddies shop of mine and I will say as far as install if you can get it into a shop and up on a lift it will knock out the install process alot faster! Im not a veteran mechanic but I usually turn wrenches on all my toys and it took me between 4-4.

5 hours to install including the alignment right after. Once i got it back from the alignment shop it was time for a test drive and I was so happy to find out it literally rode just like factory. Measured the height from center wheel caps to fender lip and got exactly 2.

25″ of lift up front, leaving me exactly a 1/2″ of rake. So this kit didn’t perfectly level it however I went in knowing it would leave a little rake from measuring and that’s exactly what I wanted. But just from looking at it you hardly notice it looks perfectly level! Highly recommend Readylift and American Trucks for your F-150!.

Had this installed on my 2016 at the dealership when I bought the truck new. After two years, needed new ball joints (just after the ReadyLIFT warranty expired) Says right on their site do not use this kit if there is more than 22″ between the bottom lip of the fender and the center of the wheel, as damage to ball joints and front components may occur.

My truck sits stock at 22-1/2″, which apparently is enough to do the damage. I trusted the Ford factory mechanic knew what he was doing. Guess not. Choose carefully and ask lots of questions before you install a levelling kit.

My truck is back to stock height now until I can find a kit that does not cause damage a few years down the road.

I bought this Leveling Kit over other less expensive kits because i wanted the extra. 25″ of lift. When it was all said and done with alignment i barely netted 2″ of lift. Why advertise a 2. 25″ lift when it really only provides 2″ of lift.

Very dissatisfied with the end result.

I installed this kit myself. I will start by saying go online and look at the full color directions there. The black and white copy they include are hard to see at times and the descriptions are vague.

Main issues are in figuring out what direction the rear blocks should be installed. It would be nice if the blocks were marked front and rear. I went with the lift struts and I will say the ride quality is leaps and bounds over what I had with my 2.

5″ leveling kit. The appearance of the truck is much nicer. This kit is a VERY good budget friendly kit. Install wasn’t terrible using just floor jacks and cordless power tools. If you live in the rust belt I would consider new lower control arms or if you have a press buying just the bushings as I had to cut the bolts on mine as the bolt was seized in the bushing.

I replaced both lower control arms at that point. Overall now that its installed I am happy. With better directions and markings on components this would be a 5 star review.

While the installation takes a little know how and a bit longer than advertised, it is a fantastic product. Added that extra ground clearance I was needing, and the diff drop is constructed wonderfully.

Only complaint would be the labeling of the components. All in all, im extremely happy with the product.

The lift was fairly easy to install, the cross members were very tight and a little hard to install without adjustment. The biggest problem is the having to use the original blocks for the rear. Especially since the truck I was worktop had been lower and those blocks were missing.

I think the rear blocks in the kit should be the full size needed. I believe the blocks should not be stacked. On solid block would be stronger and safer.

I absolutely love this kit for my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. The install was done by a shop in Fontana, CA. You will need an alignment afterwards because my truck was reading completely off the charts and the shop it care of it.

Make sure the shop does an alignment and that included on the price. It totally gave my truck the aggressive stance that I was looking for and rides much better than stock. Well worth the money and would recommend this kit to anyone with a Silverado that is looking for more height and that much sought after leveled look.

Installation was pretty easy. About a hour on passenger side (figuring things out). Drivers side 20 minutes. Tip: when reconnecting strut, align the top screws near the open holes, put a bolt thru the bottom of the strut and put a nut on it.

Then use a jack to lift strut into place and put the nuts on. We also figured out that if you do both struts at the same time you can switch the struts and they will go in a lot easier, no struggling with lower strut bolts.

The video install of these provided by American trucks is good information and can be followed step by step but they are missing probably the most important part about replacing the coil over, the coil compression.

I do wonder if you can just swap the coil over in the driver side to the passenger and vise versa. If you plan on doing this lift, a coil compressor is an invaluable asset to this job. I don’t work on vehicles often enough to be fast so this took me right over 4 hours to do by myself.

I’d say this is more of a 1 wrench install though. One problem I faced was my sway bar on the first side was in its original position so I had to use a pry bar to pull it down a lot, and on the other side it was too far down so I used the pry bar to pull it up.

The products are of high quality. All of the parts and pieces were inspected by someone prior to shipment. The install went well. A couple of steps were improvised. Ford had a brake shield that was installed on the OEM spindle.

The new spindle did not have the bolt holes to reinstall the shield. Also, the wheel sensor harness had to be zip tied to the upper control arm instead of using the OEM brackets. The truck definitely rides better.

Braking is more evenly distributed and stops a little sooner than before. The truck doesn’t nose dive anymore during braking. Overall I’m very satisfied with the kit.

Kit is solid and the fit is good. Paired with 34. 5 tires on fake raptor rims (fit perfectly, over 1\2 inch clearance everywhere even compressed). The adjustable shocks are the bomb and have a big range, 1 is a bit underdamped and not far from stock, 8 is rock hard, I think anyone would find a number from 2 to 7 that would work great.

Clickers are beefy and takes only a minute to set. Ride with 3-4 is far more damped and controlled than stock without being harsh. Takes washboards and hits great, smooth offroad! Putting 35s and a lift on can trash your ride quality, I’m way happier now with the ride quality and handling than stock suspension and tires.

Rides noticeably smoother than my buddies 2020 Raptor. I think the value is pretty good, I can’t swallow 4K for fox\icon and these are significantly better than an OK Rancho 9000 setup I had so should be worth it for a lot of people.

Cons: Instructions kind of suck, use fox’s or just figure it out. I used a spring compressor instead of screwing with removing the knuckle to get the struts on and off. Got over 3 inches lift on the front and had to screw down the coilovers to get to about 2.

5 which is kind of painful. My truck is on the lighter side (2. 7 SCab), maybe the springs are set up for the V8 with a winch!.

Pretty simple leveling kit. After installing the Premium N3 shocks i had to take them off and re install the stock ones. The rear shocks are way too soft causing the truck to bobble back and forth, even hitting the slightest bumps.

You get what you pay for. I was able to fit 33’s with just the 2″ block in the front, with that im happy with.

A well needed addition to newer Rams. Bringing the front end up 2” gives it a whole new look plus gives the clearance for bigger tires. Seems like a very sturdy part and haven’t noticed any differences in handling.

This was pretty well straight forward to install. Instructions were straight forward too. Me and a friend did it at his shop n we got it taken apart together and aligned in less than 2. 5 hours. Front end feels alittle stiffer which is good for me.

Front end sat really low n would bunny hop at slow speeds over speed bumps. There are bumps I also notice I don’t feel as much due to tighter suspension. All n all I love it.

My 2012 Sierra All Terrain had the horrible GM rake. 3 inches higher in the back. which gives the truck a horrible stance. These 3″ leveling spacers for the front really did the trick in. you guessed it.

leveling the truck out. Install was straight forward but will take you a couple hours. Results will be well wort it though. Once installed it gives the teuck a lifted look without the cost and trouble installing a true lift kit.

Replaced my ready lift sst 3. 5 with this RC kit because the ride was too rough and my angels were too extreme for a daily driver especially in the winter months where 4×4 is a must. Don’t make the mistake I made with going with a 3.

5 spacer lift without keeping the factory geometry in mind. I was new to the whole lift game and had zero knowledge when getting my first kit installed (sst 3. 5). Needless to say my first kit was a big waste of money but like they say ain’t nothing like a bought lesson.

So I’m sharing my experience so you guys and girls don’t make the same costly mistake I made. A complete lift kit with coilovers is the way to go if you want longevity and a better than factory ride out of your vehicles.

This RC coilover was my choice because it offered just as much than the higher end products for lesser money and it preforms great. If you’re in the market for a complete lift don’t hesitate to purchase this RC w/coilovers you won’t regret it.

I have to say that thus far after 300 miles on my new lift kit I couldn’t be more pleased! the ride quality is far better than the stock/factory ride. The stance it gives the truck is amazing. I really cant say enough good things about it.

with that being said there is one sight, and i do mean slight thing that i was surprised with, even though it may seem trivial. i was actually expecting some kind of Rough Country stickers/logo to come with my kit.

as nice of a product as you have i would love to show off a little bit of free advertisement for your product. i have the perfect spot reserved in the back window glass of my truck just for said logo.

I installed this lift myself. I opted for the lift struts in front and V2 shocks in rear. I don’t have a vehicle lift, so handling the front differential was a bit of a handful, but otherwise pretty straightforward install.

I still cannot believe how great the truck rides. It previously had a 2 1/2″ spacer lift in front, and was really stiff, with alot of bump steer. Not anymore. This suspension soaks up anything you drive over with no hard hits at all.

Keep in mind you will lose a little ground clearance in the front due to the axle/control arm drop, but this is necessary to keep all geometry in the correct position. The design of the drop brackets gives you as much clearance as any kit like this can offer.

I am running 295/70/18 tires with 18×9 -12mm offset. No rubbing at all.

This kit replaces the factory Tremor strut (shock and spring). It is stiffer than the factory setup. When I had the factory setup, speed bumps were hardly felt. Seemed like the factory Tremor setup had a more baja feel.

Now, with the Rough Country set up, the ride is stiffer and you can really feel speed bumps. It is no longer soft and cushy. Looks good. You have to decide what you want, good looks and stiff ride or a different brand that uses stock struts (or at least one with same spring rates as factory setup).

I prefer the cushy ride, so I’m going with a different brand and having Rough Country removed.

This kit has worked perfectly for me. It only took me roughly 2 hrs to install and went together quickly. I ended up not removing the stock 2. 5 inch blocks off the rear axle. It’s not 100% level but it looks a ton better than stock.

t made the ride a little bit stiffer but nothing to bad. Plus my gas mileage hasn’t been affected to much either. Overall this is a great kit for the 2022 f150 tremor if you don’t want to use spacers to lever your truck.

Ford dealer installed and said alignment was very easy. Rides great, seems as good as stock feel. Clears 35×12. 50 w/ 20×9 (+19) offset. Might rub if hard wheeling off road, but I only do trails and beach/sand, so should be fine.

I didn’t install the rear black to drop back end, and have a 1 1/4” rake, which I like the look this way. Would recommend for those looking for a better option than just a spacer level/lift, and without having to do a full lift kit for $2000+.

I am very pleased with my purchase for the 4” Rough Country lift kit on my 2011 F150. The ride is completely smooth, better then factory ride! I ended up using 4” Rough Country N3 Shocks with Icon Delta UCA’s and rear 4-6” Fox shocks.

I could not complain about anything. The Rough Country lift kit is very well built, black powder coating for a sleek look! Thank your Rough Country! They always deliver on time, never had an issue with delivery! Their customer service is always very helpful! I do want to ask, if I wanted to lift my current RC 4” lift to 6” lift.

The extra leaf and new shocks toughened up my bed to better handle the weight of my trailer. And the coil over spacers leveled it out nice. Easy install right on the garage floor! Thanks

the kit was great. the ease of installition was nice, and the directions were good except what they call a ford torsion bar loading tool is a 5 ton 2 jaw puller that you put under the key to tighten the torsion bar.

wath a youtube video and you can put this in about 3 hours easy.

It can be very difficult to find accessories, parts, kits, for my 2003 Tundra, so it was nice to find this first generation Tundra suspension kit for my truck. Utilizing the preexisting front coil-overs and maximizing factory parts, you get the best value with this kit and installation wasn’t terribly difficult for me, personally (only needed two jack stands, one hydraulic jack, no air-tools, no impact wrenches, just my socket set, pickle fork, etc.

basic tools for most home garages). My only beef would be that the kit does not come with extended sway bar end links. The factory sway bar is at too severe an angle to meet with the OE end links (threaded rod at top, 90 degree ball joint at bottom), and it is virtually impossible to find a suitable end link in an extended or adjustable version to make it work.

I had to buy OE end links and weld an extension to the threaded rod on top to make it long enough to mate with the sway bar. Also, the kit did not come with rear shocks, and your old shock absorbers are not going to have enough travel after the lift is installed.

Make sure you buy a pair of Tuff Country’s SX8000 (that they recommend) or some rear shock that compresses to 14″ and extends to 26″. I used Bilstein’s. 46mm Monotube Shock Absorber (item#24-185417).

If you buy Tuff Country’s SX8000, be advised that you have to also purchase the rubber boots separately (don’t know why the manufacturer doesn’t include it, poor business choice for them). Of course, with most any lift of this size that utilizes the OE rack and pinion, steering performance is going to suffer, depending on your tires.

I’m considering upgrading my power-steering sometime in the future, although I was impressed with the manufacturer taking the time to include poly bushings for the rack and pinion mounting to the lower sub-frame.

All-in-all, I think my truck looks great, and after a precision alignment on the front tires, and replacing all the ball-joints and bushings (while I had the suspension all apart, I figured, “why not?”), my truck performs great.

I would definitely recommend this product to other first generation Tundra owners (unless you want to fork over a few grand for a complete suspension swap out for a lift, in which case, have at that).

Toyota Tundra 2003 SR5 TRD Off-Road 4. 7L V8.

This is a good kit but expect “bolt and go”. My review summary is : If you don’t want the extra cost and are installing 35” tires or shorter stick with the 4” kit. You will pay for that extra 2”. I installed the 6” kit.

I installed then removed the transmission 1-1/2”drop kit, 1st it caused the distributor cap to hit the fire wall. 2nd the kit was not complete for my application the cross member has upper frame brackets as well that connect to the lower cross member but parts came to only drop the lower cross member.

3rd it didn’t look like a good fix, Modify change your drive shafts. The Front drive line I upgrade to 1350 CV and u-joint with new D44 yoke lengthened. The stock drive line would not allow the angle needed.

Also I did not install the front 4 deg shim, it throws your caster off and creates bump steer. Under the rear springs I did use the 4 deg shim, but with no Trans drop kit installed the stock drive line was a couple inches short and the driveline spline was exposed over an inch.

I upgraded to 1310 rear conversion joints and built a new drive line the correct length. The rear leaf spring eyes are bushed for ½” bolts. My RC’s came with 5/8” eye bolts, you will have to remove the busing to get your 5/8” bolts to pass through the rubber bushing.

Not a good idea to use ½” bolts in hangers made for 5/8”. The brake line drop down kit. Just toss it and get front and rear braded steel brake lines the correct length to better solve the problem. I used the skyjacker set soled here.

I used only the cast iron steering arm spacer, no drop pitman arm or adjustable drag link. You will need to grind it for proper shape and clearance around the upper ball joint. And your steering wheel will be off ¼ turn but my steering was great and didn’t need any further upgrades.

The ride when I was done was great but my conclusion is if your running 35” tires or smaller stick with the 4” kit or spend the extra on drive like work. And don’t use front shims or the drop kit for the transmission they are just tradeoffs for other problems.

So where to begin, first of all the rear add a leaf and shocks were straight forward and easy to install. I wish the kit came with new U-bolts for the rear instead of wanting to reuse the old ones, I picked up a new set from a local shop.

The front was a different story. Although the front leaf springs installed normally, the front drop brackets for the twin I-beam was a different story. First off the factory bolt holes and the drop bracket hole were different sizes and needed to be drilled.

It doesn’t sound like a big job but the oil pan is about an inch away and you are drilling towards it. After I fixed this, I noticed that the factory mount holes did not line up with the new drop mount holes.

Back to the bench to drill new holes. After the drop bracket was installed I noticed that the right side axle shaft would not rotate. This was because the u-joint was hitting the new drop mount. Back out it comes to be modified to clear the axle.

This was basically the next couple of hours of installing and removing the front drop brackets until everything fit correctly. So much for a bolt on kit. The kit did give the truck the lift that it claimed and the ride is really no different than stock so that was nice.

Just be prepared to modify the kit during install. I would also recommend a drop pitman arm to go with this kit to ease the strain on the steering linkage due to the increased angles.
