Saw this reviewed on youtube and decided to buy one myself. A fantastic wee solar generator. Charges all my metal detecting gear in the field so I never worry about running low on power. I use it for camping too.

Its so handy and silent too for powering my fan during the hot nights. I dont use the jackery 100w solar panel to charge though as it takes 5hr/5 1/2hr to charge on a cloudless sunny day. There’s better solar panels out there shop around, suit your own needs.

I use the Elecaenta 120w and it saves me an hour (approx) on solar charging. You can also charge from mains if you’re stuck or use your cars 12v socket (that takes the longest at 6 hrs). Overall ideal for small devices but you’ll have to get a bigger one for power tools, large tvs and such.

I really like it.

Purchased one of these to run my telescope equipment and I get 5x the run time than from my old Celestron power pack. When charged it holds it for ages. I charged mine to 100% and weeks after it was still at that level.

Has a 240v output that I actually ran my router on during a lengthy power cut. A really great power pack. Not as cheap as some but you definitely get what you pay for. Quality is outstanding.

This is great only for camping etc but also for using laptops, power tools & other items away from the mains. so convenient, I use it all the time. if I was redesigning it I would make the 3-pin socket higher up, as it is too low to insert some plugs with stiff cables unless you stand the item on something.

I love the explorer 500. For RV living, I think it’s great. Easy to use and carry. It charges my phone and iPad and speakers with no problem. I use roadpro equipment and I can go 2 sometimes 3 days without recharging.

The solar panels are lightweight but that can be a negative in bad weather and especially high winds. (Blew off my suv) it does charge in a thunderstorm although watts very as the clouds move. Debris collects in the edges especially at the beach.

Bottom corners wear out, so placement is a concern. But even after blowing over, no damage to the panels themselves. Overall I’m very pleased with the product. Thinking about buying the 1500 for more wh’s.

It would last longer with less recharging. Which means longer battery life. Thanks Jackery!.

Jackery makes the most robust and highest value solar generators on the market. I have a goal zero, anker, Bluetti and EcoFlow but my favorite are the Jackery. Price cant be beat either – especially for the high quality lithium cells.

Overall, the 500 represents a great do-all package which is big enough to power almost everything yet small enough to take on every camping adventure.

Great bit of kit, my emtb and many other outdoor appliances are always charged and it makes life easy. Love it !

This battery bank has been fantastic. I am able to run my laptop and phone for nearly three days without batting an eye. After buying a MC4 to 8mm DC adapter I can charge this from a 100w solar panel at the full speed just like it was plugged into the wall.

This makes for a solid backup kit if your traveling/camping or you just want to have some piece of mind. Sure it won’t run your refrigerator but it will easily keep your low power electronics running for days.

Every family should have something like this as a part of their emergency kit. And after using Anker products for the better part of a decade I know it will work when I need it. I have heard of rumors of a matching solar panel coming at some point so keep an eye out for that if your not experienced working with solar power.

Bought to charge a Iceco VL45 refrigerator. Testing at home after charging to 100%. Hooked up to my new 12v refrigerator and had 3 power shutdowns before I found that taking the power station out of ECO more would stop the power shutdowns.

Working like a champ. The refrigerator has a low power setting, so should run my Iceco for at least 18 hours. Initial 6 hour runtime still only used 33% of charge at 75°F room temp and refrigerator set to 41°F.

Did cool the refrigerator first usually my 110v wall outlet. Wanted to test how long it would maintain a temperature. Note: None of the shutdowns lasted more than 10 minutes and all could have been avoided by not using the power save mode.

Been wanting a battery back up for cpap use for a long time. I live in a rural area that is subject to power outages. I have a couple gas and LP generators but they are a pain for short duration use.

With the 521 plug and play is so easy. With humidifier and heated hose I can get about 4+ hours. Disable the heated hose and runtime doubles, turn off humidifier and runtime is about 12 hrs. In addition, I can charge phones, laptops etc.

It is a very versatile device, light weight and with the LiFe-Po4 battery there are no safety concerns. Very pleased with the purchase.

I have been searching for an item like this one. I can absolutely say the price offer is great and Best Buy gives a great description you can understand. They are not too technical in wording. What I like about this energy user when the power is out.

It has an AC out let. This is what I feel is most essential as well as there being lights on both sides. That’s a plus if you are in a inclosed area. The sale price is great.

A very nice and well made unit. Powerful enough for my needs. Just for my phone and laptop and camera. My only disappointment was the DC port to plug in a solar panel is 5. 5 mm. They sell a 4. 5 mm for this unit, but it takes a 5.

5mm. The 300 comes with a 5. 5mm to use a solar panel. Even the manual states a 5. 5mm dc port. I bought the 4. 5mm that doesn’t work and had to buy another cable that was 5. 5mn dc to use my panel!.

I bought this on a whim. In obtaining this item I became intrigued and began feverently researching portable battery options. I began reading and watching reviews. I discovered and educated myself into a make and model superior to this one.

The price point was not much higher but the options were significantly more. Now having said this, this device is well made. It is very light weight and gets high points for portability. It is really easy to buy DC cables and adapters to suite multiple needs.

For example this battery was able to run my Viewsonic Projector from a dc to dc cable without the loss of dc to ac conversion. Sadly it only supported the projector for 1. 5 hours. I still consider that impressive considering the small size.

So eventually I began the debate of getting a second battery or a larger battery. I decided on a larger capacity battery. Despite not having a usbc port, it easily supported with the provided 12 volt lighter adapter, a usbc 30w that functioned just fine with this battery.

A battery this small has an advantage in electricity loss moments of long duration. A smaller battery does not take as much time to recharge. My solar panel worked well with this. And I was able to use a 65w Usbc charger with a dc to usbc cable to charge this battery.

I was not unhappy with this battery, it simply made me want more. I do recommend this item, I would buy this item again if its specifications filled my specific needs. The price point is good, despite the fact that with just a little more money you get alot more options, you sacrifice the small size.

It is a good device!.

This unit should be a good solution for powering my APAP machine during camping trips! The optional 24VDC power plug works perfectly on the referenced ResMed AirCurve 10 and similar devices. Test results with standard unheated tubing and humidifier off indicate that it will last for over 32 hours 4 nights with 10% still in the tank.

Results with the heated tubing option and humidifier on are not as impressive. Expect maybe 16 hours with the heating tubing and humidifier off, 6 1/2 hours with unheated tubing and humidifier on, and 4 1/2 hours with heated tubing and humidifier on.

The Power Station is very compact, well designed, and solidly built with a convenient carry handle. The controls and display are excellent and let you know exactly how much charge is left % and how much power Watts the unit is supplying or being supplied if re-charging.

In addition to the 24VDC cigarette-lighter-style outlet socket for APAP/CPAP devices, the Power Station has a 2-prong and a 3-prong 110VAC outlet, 3 5VDC USB outlets, and several other DC inputs/outputs for re-charging and other functions.

Overall, a very nice machine!.

I felt like I did my research, read the reviews and compared features. It was a little more expensive than some of the other generators I saw, but I finally decided on this one. I didnt need it for phone or laptop charging.

I actually bought it to use a couple of very small, travel items. Low power heating blanket, and small portable single cup coffee percolator. Add soon as I plugged in the blanket and turned it on, the battery dropped from fully charged down to half charged, immediately! And as for the percolator, as soon as it started to brew, the generator shut down.

Watts and voltage shouldnt have been a problem, since the generator was suppose to be powerful enough. Even the electric blanket was low power and immediately drained this generator seems ridiculous to me.

So in the end I ended up with a 140. 00 Generator that is capable of charging my phone, which is exactly what my 20 portable charger does. NOT NOT NOT worth the money I spent. Total disappointment.

I bought this model specifically so I could use my cpap while car camping, maybe even canoe camping. I have an Air sense 11 cpap. Over an 8ish hour night the cpap uses around 210 watt hours. Accounting for the ~80% average battery capacity you should rely on from a power station, I expected to get around 410 actual watt hours from the 535 power house.

I tested the power house for 2 nights on one full charge with my cpap. I was able to power my cpap for 2 nights, normal usage, on one full charge from the 535 power house. I’m impressed. This gives me a lot of freedom to camp without having to invest in solar panels yet.

I only wish it could magically be lighter weight.

I purchased this portable power generator for camping and as a backup power source. The Anker brand and the LifePo batteries were some of the main deciding points for me out of all the power generators out there.

The built in light is really nice as well. I do wish the AC outlets had protective covers when not in use but that is a small inconvenience. This thing worked great with a solar panel charger during my 5 day festival trip.

The build quality is awesome! Overall, happy with the product and would recommend to family and friends.

I purchased this PowerHouse for the LiFePro battery and Anker’s reputation. I have a bunch of Anker products and am very happy with them. The materials, build, and functionality of this battery are great, and I was able to purchase it at a nice sale price, but I have arrived at the decision to return it.

I’m going with a very similar product with a reputable name, basically the same tech specs but that features a fold in handle (decreasing the space requirement), a wireless charging pad for cells, and a fairly significantly lower price.

That’s just personal pref, you sure can’t go wrong with Anker!.

The portable power station arrived with 42% charge and was at 100% after a few hours charge from the solar panel. Very straightforward to use, and I really like that it shows the power output at any point.

We bought it to use with a solar panel to power camping fridge. It has really clear battery and charging screen which is also very accurate, to be able to charge multiple items and use solar to boost and charge is a fantastic luxury meaning we can be away for as long as we want and still keep food safe to eat.

Received this and it will not charge in my house or truck. No one answers in customer service just a message stating email us. No answer to email and it has been three days. Terrible product and terrible company that you cannot even talk to a person.

To much money to pay for a product you cannot talk to someone about.

This product functions as advertised. When I received this product I ran several tests to see is it lived up to its advertised claims. For my testing I used a Kill-A-Watt meter to verify the wattage a device used and the total wattage that was used.

To verify that it would run high current devices I ran a coffee maker that was rated at 1,450-watts and a 1,500-watt electric heater. Both devices ran normally. To verify that it had the capacity to run devices for the 1,260-Wh I powered the electric heater set on low (750-watts), recharged the product, and then I powered two regular 100-watt light bulbs (200-watts).

I ran the heater for 1-hour and the product showed that it had 27% of the battery remaining and the Kill-A-Watt meter showed that 0. 76-Kwh had been used. This indicates that the product has approximately 1,040-Wh capacity.

I ran the two light bulbs for 5-hours and the product showed that it had 6% of the battery remaining and the Kill-A-Watt meter showed that 980-Kwh had been used. This indicates that the product has approximately 1,040-Wh capacity.

The 1,040-Wh in use capacity indicates that the unit is about 83% efficient. While testing there was no noticeable noise while running a 200-watt device, but the noise while running the 750-watt device (or larger current) made as much noise as when charging (which is very noticeable).

I have only charged and discharged it 3 times so I can not comment on how long it will last. I intend to use this product as a backup power source while camping in my camper and these values meet my needs and are near the advertised values.

We got fed up with losing power due to hurricanes and “other” reasons in Louisiana. We finally decided to purchase something that would allow us to run our refrigerator, microwave, and a fan or two. This thing does all of that and more.

It only takes about 2 hours to charge (from a standard 110 wall socket). So, we did the math. Even IF we only get 8 hours of use out of it, it only takes 2 hours to charge, food in an unopened fridge easily keeps cold for more than 2 hours without electricity.

So, it’s obvious that this was going to provide what we needed. It turns out that we get WAY MORE than 8 hours of use out of it before needing to recharge. We have run this thing through some rather crazy tests without realizing that we were really testing it.

We’ve used it to run our vacuum for vacuuming our whole house: no problem whatsoever. At one point, we had our fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, oscillating fan, and a couple of phones charging all at the same time on this.

We had forgotten that we didn’t have power in the house! The display is very useful and easy to read. There are some fans that kick in when charging, I’ve not heard them otherwise. I do wish it had enough to run washer and dryer or something like that– but that’s 220 volt stuff.

I know Ecoflow makes a solution that powers your home though your breaker box–looks really awesome, but this unit is not for that kind of thing. Additional reason we bought this: to run full video productions from anywhere.

It easily runs professional 3 camera interview shoots, with 6 lights, 2 computers, 3 monitors, 1 external RAID array, and a couple of confidence monitors. Typically, we only use about 40% of the charge in a day’s use.

The product does have some weight to it. it is a bunch of batteries after all. But it’s easy to carry with the handles and it also fits into common collapsable rolling carts if you want to pull it behind you–which we commonly do.

Overall, I’m really impressed with this item and look forward to using this thing for many, many years. I plan to try to track how well the charge holds over the years. I’ll report back here with any changes in performance or break-down of the product in any way.

This is a smart investment, in my opinion.

There are a lot of these boxes out there and it can be hard to choose from with the tons of options. Ecoflow stands tall above the others with its circuitry design. When you are charging the unit and using the unit simultaneously, it will route the charge power to the demand before it taps into the battery storage.

That is a big deal when it comes to efficiency and longevity. The only downside of Ecoflow units is that they are still using the Li-Ion battery technology. But I would rather have Ecoflows Li-Ion batteries over Bluetti’s circuitry.

It’s not that Bluetti is bad. Ecoflows design is just that much better. P. S. stay clear of the Gucci Prepper youtube channels that want you to buy expensive short-lived portable solar panels for these.

Just use standard rigid/hard panels and save tons of money and get more than twice the life out of your panels.

Haven’t put this thing completely through the ringer yet but definitely did some testing using a 1500w skillet, 12v 40w refrigerator, vacuum, hair dryer and coffee pot and this took it all no problem.

Ran the 12v fridge for about 12 hrs and it only used 10%. Touch screen is super nice and user friendly. Very well built and sturdy. Its definitely on the heavier side but I completely understand given the crazy amount of power they pack in this little beast.

If I had one suggestion to Blueitti it would be to be able to turn the screen on and off while its on but that being said its nothing I really even care about I was just surprised you couldn’t. Factory Pure has AMAZING customer service.

Shout out to Josh for going above and beyond for this order. If you’re thinking about a solar generator thats pretty compact I would highly recommend the Blueitti ac200p. Factory Pure has the absolute lowest price.

I actually originally placed the order and thought I found a cheaper price which ended up being a scam and I was able to call Factory pure and talk to Josh and he immediately reinstated my order and got it sent ASAP.

So far, this product matches everything specified in the product description ! I like it and look forward to using it frequently for music performances in the outdoors and camping. The true sine wave output works great for my audio amplifiers as well! My opinion, as a retired engineer is; The AC200p is very well built , worth the purchase and meets my needs.

Item showed up well packaged and works great. The item was a little slow to ship out but worth the wait and a great deal. Customer service was easy to contact about the shipping delay and very professional.

*This review is for the igen1000s* This thing is AWESOME! I love the design of it. It’s very sturdy and it weighs just over 30 pounds. When I unboxed it, the battery was at 28%, so I let it charge to 100% before testing.

Charging it to a full battery only took around 2 hours. The LCD display shows you how much the battery is charged and how much time you have left until it’s fully charged. The first things I tested were my 60 inch 4K TV and streaming stick.

Once they were plugged in and up and running, the display showed 7 hours of run time. not bad at all considering the size and display of the TV. Next up was my smaller 40 inch 1080p HD TV as well as a streaming stick.

The display showed 27 hours of run time. The last thing I tested was just a basic house lamp, which showed 39 hours of run time. I didnt test my internet because I have that hooked up to UPS, which provides 6 hours of run time.

All in all, this is everything I wanted and I couldn’t be happier. Well worth the money and I highly recommend it!.

Just received yesterday and have read the manual through. Appears to be OK as I am charging it now. Only a couple of things right away to mention. After reading that the unit should always be upright, of course the FEDX people left it upside down at my door so I left it upright in box until today.

Manufacturer should use big Red label arrows or something more eye catching for shippers. So that said, when I went to find the serial number to register it, naturally it was on the bottom so it was necessary to lay it down on it’s side to see it.

Also as I am charging it for the first time the small indicator light still flashes after the screen shuts off. According to the manual that means the unit AC output plugs are still hot. Holding the On/off button does not change that.

I was trying to completely shut the unit off while charging but I guess as long as the charging plug is hooked up it will still flash. The manual is unclear on that. I shall see in a few hours when the unit is completely charged.

I hope it shuts down completely when charged because I had intended to leave it plugged in when stored so it would always be full when needed in a power outage without the unit being on in any way. If there is a way to update everyone on how this works I will let you know.

Outside these issues , the manual is very informative if you will just read it all before trying to use the unit.

I bought this generator several weeks ago. I have tested it by plugging my camper into it to run the refrigerator and it works great! I had no problems adding the oil during the setup and starting it.

I only have experience with one other generator and this one is much quieter. I really love that! My 85-year-old father (who is no stranger to equipment like this) saw the generator running on the driveway and even commented on how quiet it was!) We plan to use this boondocking when the solar panels aren’t getting sun and at home when the power goes out during a storm.

I am very pleased with this purchase!.

Wile living in Florida I realized that I needed a back-up for the generator. Yeah the generator will keep my fridge and freezer working, but it doesn’t really address the need to recharge smart phones and power a small fan if the power goes out.

So originally I did order and purchase a cheaper power supply from a unknown brand. And as soon as I saw this and read about it here on this site. I immediately sent the other brand back and bought this one.

So very impressed. Charges fast and everything worked and no defects. It’s a beauty and a keeper. The display gives a lot more information than what others give. And the outer shell is very sturdy and the handle.

Although I was worried about the handle because of the weight of the power supply (it’s not that heavy). But after looking at it and seeing how the handle is connected I quickly realized that it’s nothing to worry about and that it won’t break while I’m transporting the unit from place to place.

As for questions I had? I was quickly responded to with answers from Ivy (great person). I do wish it had cover plugs for the outlets or a carrying case so I can store it and not worry about it except to recharge it every so often.

I’m very happy with the price and quality of this item and the other stuff I purchased here on this site. Also regarding a quick delivery. I wouldn’t pay the extra $19. 99 cost for a faster service because the shipping/delivery service and Covid has slowed things down.

So just be patient and it will get to you within 5-8 days. Don’t forget to download the warranty and instruction manual for the power supply and solar panel. On a quick note you can put a outlet plug protector in the ac outlets.

That’s what I’m going to do anyway. It’s a cheap and easy solution that will give me peace of mind.

I bought this to be a backup for our CPAPs for power outages. During our testing we found we can easily run one of our CPAPs for four nights or both of them for two full nights before needing to recharge (with charge to spare).

Note* Both of our CPAPs were running on DC (cigarettes’ plugs – a second cigarettes’ adapter is generously included) and with the humidifier and heated hoses turned off. The piece of mind we get knowing we can still get a great nights sleep even when the power is off is a great relief.

When paired with the 100w portable Itehil Solar Panel we were able to get our unit charged back up to almost 100% (when there is full sun and we rotate the panel to follow the sun). The supplied power adapter also charges this up in about 4 to 5 hours.

I will be recommending this unit to friends and family. So much better then the Jackery. Don’t get me wrong, the Jackery is good, but this is just better. I was really impressed that they include all of the needed accessory’s at that price point.

I like that this ITEHIL IT500 has a LiFeP04 battery (should be durable). I bought this unit with a discount coupon so felt it was a good value. We’ve had one power outage since we received this unit.

it works with about a total 200w load (fan, several LED lights) and the outage lasted about 3 hours. The battery was barely drained and the unit was pretty quiet while running. and I noticed something interesting, it turns out that leaving the front panels turned off when there’s nothing plugged into them, it does appear to automatically turn off.

So I asked the seller how long the battery can last without any output. They told me it will last 3-5 years, but for battery life, it needs to be recharged every three months. That’s mean after the first full charge, they stay ready when we need them any time.

It’s a great emergency power station for us.

I received my yeti 500X on 8/12/2020, I have used my yeti about 3 or 4 times a week. I read about the charge cycles and then spent time at the Battery University regarding the battery used in the Yeti 500X.

The day I received my Yeti 500X I charged it to 100% just like the instructions indicate. Then after it was charged up I used it until it was at 17%, and then I charged it up to 85 to 87%. I have cycled my Yeti 500X over several hundred times at maximum charge 87% and maximum discharge to 17%.

I also don’t fast charge my Yeti 500X, I use a couple of boulder 100 panels to charge up my Yeti 500X. I know there were some software issues when this unit first came out. I waited a while before I purchased my own Yeti 500X.

I am glad to say my Yeti 500X hasn’t had any issues and has been very reliable. There are a few and I mean very few times when I charged my Yeti 500X to 100% due to some upcoming snow storms here in Montana.

I will say I do wish the price point was lower but having said that I still remember what my dad told me ” you get what you pay for” so I will say due to the excellent customer service I have had, I will say the Yeti 500X is worth the money.

I will also say I first purchased the Yeti 200X to see how it would handle heat and cold and being thrown around in a pickup before buying the 500X. The 200X worked fine for almost 2 years and then one of the USB ports quit working, I was about a month away from the 2 year warranty so I called customer service to report the issue.

I had saved my box and after speaking to customer service I followed the instructions and sent my Yeti 200X back to Goal Zero. Soon thereafter I had a new 200X. This isn’t the first time I experienced great customer service from Goal Zero.

I had to recently contact Goal Zero as a new Yeti 1000X I had purchased from Costco for a really great price, wouldn’t even turn on, battery was wasted or so I thought. The guy at Goal Zero customer service gave me some advise as to how to get this dead Yeti 1000X up and running.

I closely followed his instructions and after a few charge and discharge cycles it is working like it should, and so I wish to say to the people at Goal Zero customer service a big THANK YOU. I am truly pleased with my Yeti 500X.

There are tons of reviews detailing the pros and cons of this unit. What’s difficult to find is real world data that can let you know if this will take the place of an expensive dual battery system. For me it does.

For my use case, I wanted something to act as a buffer, so that I could power a fridge from my Jeep en route and then seamlessly run off battery without risking the ability to start the vehicle. It’s hard to find in GZ literature whether you can charge and power devices at the same time.

You can. I have this plugged into the inverter outlet in my Gladiator’s bed and the fridge plugged into the GZ. When I’m driving the fridge is powered through the GZ and I don’t have to fiddle with anything when I stop to camp.

I do recommend GZ’s 120W fast charger. Every time I move to another spot the GZ has been fully charged upon arrival. The fast charger takes about 4 hours from dead. Testing at home, I was able to power the fridge for about 48 hours.

In the field, when running solely on battery power my ARB Classic II 63 QT can maintain a sub 32 degree internal temperature in 70-85 degree ambient temperature for about 2 overnights, a solid day and until noon the following day (about 40 hours).

So this is about 2 days. This with opening the full fridge to get drinks, prepare meals, etc. This is without any charging or assistance from a solar panel. I’m looking at solar power systems to extend this, but for my style of overlanding, where I like to explore and move around every few days, this unit has so far been perfect.

I’ve also been able to use it to charge a few lanterns while running the fridge. Obviously, other people’s experiences may differ with other ambient temps and other fridges and additional loads. A Geyser systems shower for example will draw 15% of this units battery to heat fully.

So for 2 showers, and the fridge, expect about 1 day/overnight of power. I hope this provides a baseline of what people can expect.

Purchased this unit on it’s specs stating works with various Solar panels up to 50V. I liked that it stated it has a built in MPPT charge controller and 12V regulator. First unit did not work with my 100 watt, 24V panel and sent it back to GZ.

Input light is on yet no charging. Also would not charge from shore power or altenator if Solar was plugged in. They sent me another unit and same deal. Got the run around from support and now they state only works with GZ solar panels! My GPSolar flexible panel worked fine with Jackery battery and feel the GZ MPPT controller is bad in second unit but GZ not working with me any longer and want to sell me a GZ panel at a 5% discount.

Frustrating. Also, purchased this unit for my camper van but the built in 12V regulator also locks up when running various appliances at once. I cannot run multiple appliances, fan, lights, TV, heater at same time.

Again frustrating. DO NOT PURCHASE A GOAL ZERO for camper van. This thing is only good for charging your phones, speakers, headphones. This is not a solution for Van Power. Wasted my money and now GZ not taking this unit back as I feel I have another lemon or GZ does not perform to specs advertised.

Planning for a camping trip was complicated by the need for a power supply for my wife’s CPAP machine. It consumes 20 watts, so I needed 160 watt-hours of battery at a bare minimum The EcoFlow River’s 288 seemed like a good size, as it provides a generous margin above that.

Testing at home before we headed out confirmed that it was drawn down to about 40% of capacity after one night’s sleep. I also bought a 100 watt solar panel, hoping that there would be adequate sun during our trip to charge it up, and also confirmed that this would work.

It did. Our trip was scheduled months in advance, and I had to cross my fingers on the weather. As it turned out the entire week was pretty cloudy at our campsite. Another site nearby had 110 V power, and so I was able to charge the River there each day in less than an hour.

But I can’t blame the River for the weather. I’m happy with its different functions, the useful information on the display, and the fact that I can use it at home during the occaisional power outages to power our wifi router, charge phones, etc.

I’ll try to maintain it’s charge level at around 75% for storage between camping trips to prolong its useful lifetime, and do more camping to get our money’s worth. The CPAP is a new fact of life, and this gizmo keeps it from limiting our mobility.

I get nervous about power outages, especially after a storm took out power for 9 days some years ago and I didn’t have much back up at the time. (Side note: found out solar-powered yard lights worked through most of the night, so I’d bring them in for a little light.

) I borrowed a gas generator after a few days, but it was loud, dirty and gas had to be hauled in; the refrigerator had already ‘died’. I first bought a small Ecoflow 600 generator, which helped get through 2 days out power out when repairs were being made; I could run the refrigerator half hour every four hours, but I did need to charge it up at my neighbors (quick charge — beautiful, and thanks!) As my budget allowed, I bought the larger generator, and now added extra battery to both.

I don’t “app” anything, and so far have not needed to communicate with these generators via my phone — which is good, because when the original storm hit, my cell phone was in my car and I could not get to it nor easily charge it.

I don’t count on cell phones working, too much can go wrong too easily with them. During power out, I did run light, small DVD player, coffee maker (I didn’t try running modem / tv at the time). I have run electric chainsaw, greenhouse light strings (minimal heat for plants), drill and similar with these units.

Bought for the power storage capacity, “ups” pass thru, high speed charging and no need for odd bulky power brick for mobile use or home blackouts with medical equipment. It recharges fast and 600 watt inverter is decent for most uses.

However I was disappointed when I learned after purchase that the the reviews and eco tech info I had read showed that the R600 pro renamed to the river 600 pro WERE FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT. The R600 apparently used high life cycle lithium Iron phosphate that provide more discharge/recharge cycles than than the lithium ion 18650 packs the river pro has.

I feel they should have made this more clear which creates a bait and switch vibe. Using just a rename to shadow key design performance changes is a bad move. It is a great design otherwise, wonderful screen, well engineered box, fantastic handle, and as above features make it a better choice for this class of device.

It just could have been mindblowingly amazing had it been LiFePO4. The bluetti and a couple others have much better battery chemistry but their design seemed weak and limiting and functionality while decent lacks innovation that the ecoflow river pro has in abundance.

I have edited up my original review because a deeper dive into the competition for better left me glad I bought this. I may even spring for the expansion cell since the pair is a good flexible solution for portability with power density.

I have connected the river pro to 2 x 100 watt 3rd party folding solar panels via accessory parallel mc4 connectors providing 160 watts and that gave me great peace of mind as it charged nicely with the mppt controller built in.

The light could be better to be a cob flood panel style. While I didnt buy it for its light this modification would really be thoughtful. Overall I like the unit for what it is in the place it holds.

There is room for improvement as I wish ecoflow could put the battery chemistry right. If they did It would be a much more outstanding product than it already is. The pass thru ac, interface choices, no brick, clean clear interface, smart charging, rugged feel, and software upgradability are all top notch.

In the product lineup this is the best value especially considering the expansion cell as it enables me flexibility to configure and use as I have need. Other products create a unit designed for a couple specific use cases.

Ecoflow river pro has the capability, capacity, and options that let me adapt IT to MY changing use needs which greatly increases its value to me especially as a product type intended to fill a needs gap.

Bluetti hit a home run with the EB70. I wanted a mid-range and considered offerings from other companies in the 500 watt hour range. They cost around the same, but the EB70 has 200 more watthours. Bluetti consistently sells its products for considerably less than the industry-standard dollar-per-watthour.

Right there, you’ve already got a winner. Build quality is superb. I prefer the aluminum case on the EB150/240, but that would add weight to a unit that is meant to be easily portable. Which it is, by the way: easily portable.

A great handle helps. It’s got two USB-C ports. In today’s world, where (thankfully) USB-C is more and more common, this is a plus. Bluetti has wisely included one C port on every other unit I own, but two is better.

I haven’t thoroughly wrung out the inverter, but so far my impression is that it’s a reasonable compromise between power and efficiency. One of my main uses of these units is for keeping my CPAP going during power outages.

Here in Hurricane Alley, that’s an always-important fact of life. My go-to for over a year has been the EB150. Plenty of capacity and uses that capacity efficiently. I tested the EB70 on the 12 volt side.

It’s a fair bet with any of these power stations that the 12v circuits will make the most of the available watthours. For instance, I’ve tested my CPAP with the house current inverter on the AC200P, and the 12v side was 25% better.

The EB70 provided 3 full (8 hour) nights of sleep, using my Dreamstation with the humidifier and heated hose. For our typical power outage around here, that would be great. For the record, I keep my CPAP on a power station at all times, because of random and usually brief outages.

Even my Jackery 160 would work in that scenario, but I’d have to fully recharge it every day. That’s just burning up recharge cycles for no good reason. Without the humidifier or heated hose, I got over 5 nights, including naps.

In the event of a hurricane or other disaster bad enough to last that long, we’re likely to evacuate anyway. So this represents excess capacity. I’m a big fan of a healthy margin of error, like if we think we won’t need to evacuate and then the roads are impassable, as happened after Hurricane Floyd.

Currently I’m testing the EB70 with my travel CPAP, a Transcend 3 Auto CPAP. It has no humidifier or heated hose. My Dreamstation uses around 12 watts per hour in similar status. The Transcend 3 averages 4.

This was tested on the inverter as I haven’t yet bought the 12v adapter. The 4 watt measurement comes from my Killawatt meter. Honestly, with performance that good, I don’t know if I’ll bother with the 12v adapter.

I mentioned above that I keep my CPAP on a power station due to random outages. The EB70 will replace the EB150 in this role, and the 150 will be used elsewhere. The EB70 has plenty of capacity for what I need, especially if I switch to the Transcend 3 during emergencies.

Just as important is the issue of recharge cycles. The EB70 has lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) cells. As good as the 150 is, the EB70 can provide hundreds more cycles. Maybe a thousand or more. Making this switch will preserve the 150 for scenarios where it’s capacity and 1000 watt inverter are called for, like extended camping trips.

So to sum up, the combination of capacity, power, portability, cost and recharge cycles make this an excellent choice for many if not most people who are looking for a power station.

**My final update: So it seems that the inverter using extra power over time is normal regardless of model or manufacturer, hence why it’s common for an auto shutoff to be included in the design. When it’s on, it’s on and drawing power.

This really explains test results that I’ve seen in reviews for other power stations where the DC will run a portable fridge for exceptionally longer than the AC outlet. It’s not just about efficiency ratings.

Though efficiency is definitely important, it’s also not necessarily always clear cut either. **Update: Bumping it down to three stars. While my initial capacity tests seemed to go well (note that those were limited as i don’t want to run the battery down) it failed my ongoing test on a lower powered device.

The first red flag was when i accidentally left the ac side turned on over night. In the morning the eb70 was warm and the battery meter empty. After recharging it, i plugged in a portable fridge. It wasn’t set to a very low temp, it stayed on for over 30 hours, but didn’t even use 400 watts before shutting off.

I wonder if the inverter is draining extra power or maybe something’s faulty, i don’t know. The other aspects of the eb70 seem to be up to par. My chest freezer pulled well over 600 watts on startup without a problem, the 12v port consistently tested at 13.

34v so that shows it’s regulated. I’ve been on the fence about keeping it. It’s a good product with a few glaring issues. With this latest problem i will be looking for a different power station. **Original reviewI’m giving the bluetti eb70 five stars even though it’s more of a 4.

5. Let’s get this part out of the way – the 200 watt charge rate is with the sp200 panel, so unless you can find something like a 24v/8a+ panel or know how to safely rig something together, don’t expect to get the maximum rate with normal panels.

That said, with two 100 watt panels in parallel (mine are 18. 78v and 5. 32a) I’ve been able to get around 130 watts. With optimal placement, that increases to 140 watts. Panels connected individually, 80+ watts.

The thing is it’s been hot here. Like sometimes stupidly hot. Before writing this review I had the chance to test in somewhat cooler conditions thanks to so much needed rain. Between the wind and pouring some water over the panels, the displayed input went as high as 151 watts.

So I look forward to testing this during the cooler months. I also tested the eb70 with my fridge and chest freezer. Instead of going by the battery indicator, I plugged in a watt meter and let them each run to about 0.

5kwh. The fridge took about four hours to use that much power, the freezer about 8 hours. Varying conditions and fridge models will have different results, but I call this a successful couple of tests.

One concern that I have is the accuracy of the displayed output. Initially it would be off by anywhere from a few watts (acceptable) to 15 watts (not acceptable. ) But later on it seemed to be more accurate.

I’ll need more time to see whether it stays this way. That’s my initial review. So far it’s a great device and I may have a follow up later this year depending on how things go with it.

I love that this item will be powerful enough to charge up what we require at our new home build. It is portable and the weight is manageable to move to different spots. In a new house build we need to charge up various things.

This power station will charge up the smaller items that will assist us. Things like small heaters, using a small coffee maker in the mornings, using smaller tools within the house build. , Most heavier duty tools would require more of a generator or a larger power station from Bluetti.

We could certainly use a heavy duty generator but the power station will do just nicely for right now. We can charge up our cell phones either by the charging pad on the top of the unit, or by one of the two C type plugins.

This time of year it is hard to keep our security camera charged at the property, this helps tremendously in doing that and so much faster then a small hand held power charger. Having the ability to use our coffee maker, toaster sure helps with being off-grid.

We can charge the portable lights although the unit has it’s own built in light so they are not always needed. We can plug in a small TV, a portable radio, and a small cooler. We can charge up our batteries for our GoPro.

There are just so many things that haven’t even thought of yet to try. Only our imagination might be our limitationsUnfortunately, the display does not stay on long enough but it does not impact the operational aspect of this machine and just requires one of the power buttons to be touched.

What I do like about the display is that as you plug in multiple items it shows you the total watts you are currently using. With 800W you can use a multiple of items at once which is a definite plus when your on the go off-grid doing multiple things.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have several smaller Jackeries, and was hesitant to pull the trigger on the 1500 due to the price. However, I was able to get a good enough deal on it, and this is big enough to run my home furnace off of so I got it as temps dropped.

A review on this could get really into the weeds, it seems like most folks are facing these tradeoffs vs. other brands of a similar size: (1) This standard lithium type battery vs. newer LiFe batties.

I did look at newer LiFe battery units in other models, and they do have some advantages. However, they are just a bit more expensive, and a LOT heavier. The Jackery 1500 weighs about 35 pounds, the LiFe ones I was looking at were slightly larger and almost double the weight.

I wanted grab and go, where my wife and kids could also lug it around. If I was looking for a dedicated unit that was going to stay in camper, or needed more power and wanted to stack/link units, I might have gone with others.

For more casual / camper / mobile use, I feel comfortable this unit was the better one for me and have already appreciated its weight. (2) Only 3 USB plugs. I agree that more would have been nice, but this ended up not being a deal breaker for me.

We have enough dongles (and smaller Jackeries) that it would not be too much work to charge a bunch of smaller USB devices at once. This is a BIGGER unit, you can charge a furnace off of it in the winter, or a regular fridge off of it in the summer if the power goes out.

That is its niche. I have a ton of ways I can charge my cell phones in an emergency, and the three USB ports will likely be enough for me 95% of the time. You will always face many trade-offs with different units, brands, battery types, etc.

There is not a perfect one for all situations. If you are looking for a fairly portable (for 1500 w hour units) battery that can handle just about any camping scenario, and a good deal of home emergency use (furnace, fridge, microwave, sump pump, etc.

) this will do you just fine. If on the other hand you are hard core off the grid and looking for something you are going to be using weekly, with frequent complete discharges, you may want to look at an approriately sized LiFe Bluetti.

Be prepared for a much heavier unit. One bonus for Jackery is they have some of the best solar panels out there, and if you don’t have any solar panels yet, you can’t go wrong with the Jackery ones. With that said, you do need to get adapters if you have other solar panels already that you want to use with the Jackery.

They use proprietary connections 🙁 I would suggest that if you are new to all this, or are looking for simple, Jackery is a great way to go. If you are more advanced you’ll want to compare to your unique use/need.

The Jackery may still come of better for you (as it did for me), but I am not a Jackery zealot and it can pay to do your research. Nothing worse than shelling out this amount of money and have it not fit your needs.

IšverstiShow in original languageThis will run my natural gas instant hot water heater for the house long enough to get all of the family ready for the day. My tankless water heater is gas but still needs about 60 watts to run while it is heating water, this equals more than 4 hours of constant hot water.

It will also keep our cellphones charged up, 4 phones equal to about 29 hours per device in this, obviously if you use a gaming laptop or some work laptops it’s only about 2-3 hours of battery for that device.

As you can start to see your use case makes this an awesome device. I wouldn’t bother trying to keep my fridge on with this, mine is really efficient and only uses about 120W to keep it at temp (it pops up when you open the door, and it has to cool the inside back down) that equates to a little over 2 hours.

Not worth it to me. But what this guy is absolutely perfect for is a little bit of camping or even staying at someone’s house that is so old that there is only one outlet in the guest room. It will easily run a travel CPAP charge a phone and charge a watch through the night.

Pretty much this is an outlet that I can put wherever for small things. Another use case for this was running the sound system an outdoor wedding reception. It was a small sound system (2 larger speakers, mixer box, and two wireless mics).

I ran the system for about 5 hours and used about 50% of the battery. 290Whr is nice but one thing to keep in mind is the inverter. This has a 200W continuous output and a 400W instantaneous output. This is important to keep in mind.

I have a 300W travel water heater that won’t work with this since it can only handle 200W on a constant basis. Pretty much having this size one just makes me want a larger one. One that could handle my projector, smoker, and other stuff that I would like to use where an outlet isn’t always convenient.

The solar part of this is a bonus, no it doesn’t charge it up like you get when you plug it into the wall, but the fact that it can charge up when your out of power and you don’t have to go anywhere (say to get gas) is rather convenient.

I love solar but I’m not sold on the cost effectiveness of it completely, I am sold on the advantages of a “battery generator” like this versus a gas generator with the ease of use (my 3-year-old has figured out how to plug the tablet into it and charge it), quietness, and overall package.

But just like with a gas generator, you need to figure out your power needs before you buy one. I love readout that shows the instantaneous watts being used. This one has kind of helped me figure out which size I would actually need if I wanted to use it with my smoker which uses about 200w continuously so at a 4-hour smoke I need an 800Whr battery generator at the minimum.

Overall, I love the handle on top that makes it easy to grab, the instantaneous power readout, the individual on buttons for the type of power output you want, and the solar option. I also love that it comes with a cord to charge it from the car and house.

There are two cons to this device, the 200w continuous output, I wish it was higher; and I wish it had a 30W or more USB C output.

IšverstiShow in original languageWhile I got this primarily as a back-up power source for my CPAP machine in case of a power outage I can see using this a lot around the house and outdoors. I’m also an amateur radio operator and will be bringing this along to power radios on field days.

Our family likes to play Pokemon Go (yes, still) and we meet up with friends at the park on event days. I can definitely see this massive power bank being really popular with everyone. Jackery says a typical phone can be recharged 25 times.

Or, in this case, 25 people can charge up throughout the day. In the mean time it can be used to power up a small min-fridge (the kind that run on 12 volts and can be used in a car) or a radio for most of the day.

While I’m not a camper, this seems like it would be amazing for running some LED lighting to see at night. I expected it to be much heavier than it actually is. With that much battery capacity and given its size it looks like it would weigh a lot, but it’s actually not bad at all.

I can see taking this outdoors and walking with it without too much effort. Mine came about 65% charged (in case you would need it in a pinch immediately, but no guarantees on how it would look after sitting on a shelf for a while at the store) and charged up fully over the course of 2-3 hours using the included charger.

The generator comes with a nice zipper pouch that holds the AC charger and a DC car charger to charge it in a car. According to the manual they will both fully charge the pack in 5-5 1/2 hours. The front includes a coaxial charging port for the above mentioned chargers or from a solar panel should you choose to purchase one.

This would be an excellent decision if you live in an area with sketchy electricity or to prepare for storm season. Also on front are two USB ports for charging and a 12 Volt cigarette lighter type jack.

Also on front is a normal AC adaptor. As I said earlier, this is primarily a back-up source for my CPAP and will likely live next to my nightstand on standby for any power outages. According to the manual it’ll last 6-21 hours on a CPAP, likely depending on if you use the humidifier or not.

Even if you can’t think of an immediate use, having something like this handy for emergencies or family trips is really a must. If you’re setting up an emergency kit or a bugout bag in a hurricane or earthquake prone area the Jackery Explorer should definitely be part of your inventory!.

Today i was out in the garage checking to make sure I had everything charged up as we are susposed to get a bit of a wind storm and snow about 4 to 6 inches in the next few days. I have read numerous reviews about the “cheap” batteries that Goal Zero puts in their Yeti 150.

I have 2 Yeti 150’s one I bought 1/24/2014 and the other I purchased April of 2016. I bought these after buying an Escape 150 about 10 years ago. I have replaced the battery on the escape one 150 about 2 years ago.

I also have a Yeti 400 I purchased 4/3/2014. I put a new battery in the Yeti 400 just 3 or 4 months ago. I want to say I am careful not to drain any of my Yetis below 40% and I use them daily to charge up phones and other things around the house.

mI make sure to drain down my Yetis to 40 or 60% at least once a month. It says some place on the Goal zero website you need to use your Yeti to keep it working. I don’t leave my Yetis plugged in all the time I discharge them, if I remember to, at least once a month.

The reason for this review is to remoind people that the Yeti is a quality product and the big plus as I see it is I can replace the battery myself. The ease of battery replacement is one of the biggest selling points as far as I am concerned.

I also am a fan of plug and play, which makes the Yeti family user friendly. Just my thoughts from the Big Sky Country, Montana.

My yeti 150 is awesome! I’m a climatologist and work internationally on a regular basis; let me tell you, this generator is essential to me while working in the field especially during my frequent long-haul camp-outs.

It’s extreamly versatile, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used this to jump-start the truck rover in subzero environments. The ability to also recharge with a solar panel was a powerful selling point for me, seeing I’m often hundreds of miles from civilization.

I also enjoy the ability to have easy access inside of the unit, which allows me to swap batteries if need be. A note for the battery, it’s heavy. To cope with this, I swap out the sealed lead acid battery (SLA) with a custom made lithium polymer version; though I wouldn’t recommend this because the electronics inside were designed to charge SLA batteries and not lithium polymer.

A special computer chip was retrofitted into my Yeti to charge safely. Lastly, I really enjoy the flexibility of being able to use multiple jacks/ports at once; unlike most other units on the market which don’t or can’t.

It also is great for high drain applications. I have used this Yeti with my power-hungry satellite phone from the 1990s, which demands a minimum of 60 watts to operate, while also powering the string of 15 incandescent light bulbs strung around camp.

I love my Yeti a lot and will probably purchase the next model up when and if that time comes for its decommission. Highly recommend!.

Note: Before starting the test, I read the instructions for the Yeti 150. Also, I charged the Yeti 150 to 100%. I did not charge my Yeti 150 again until I reached day 4. CPAP/APAP Settings: Min Pressure = 7.

My iPhone’s battery was at 5% and I disconnected it when it reached 95%. 3rd night of sleep. 9:27 hours of run time. 90% pressure = 9. 6 cmH2O On day 4, my Yeti 150’s battery indicator read 20%. I placed the Yeti 150 back on it‘a charger (per the instructions).
