This 4-pack looked like a surprise from the photos prior to receiving. The multipurpose design is something that is very useful. The mixture between a lantern and a flashlight is certainly very beneficial with this product.

However, when I received the product I was a little let down with the actual product. The box colors and design are very basic and not attractive. The usage of the lights and lighting ability are really unbeatable for the price point, but one of four of these actually did not work properly.

One lantern was always on instead of turning on when pulled out. The construction is made with cheaper, brittle plastic and the thin metal handles leave something to be desired. I did like that the batteries come with the product.

I really love the magnetic feature on the base of these for use working anywhere. I would most likely purchase an upgraded type of lantern/flashlight combo with better construction meant for longer lasting service in a 2-pack instead of 4-pack as well.

The Eveready Collapsible Camping LED Lantern, 2-Pack is one of the most prodigious inventions that I have ever had the distinct pleasure of using! It is extremely lightweight (less than 1 pound)! Each lantern requires 3 AA batteries.

There are two lanterns, so that is 6 AA batteries in total which are included in the box. The product is a collapsible lantern, it doubles as both a lantern & as a flashlight, and it also possesses a nigh vision setting.

The LED lights are brilliant and powerful! They light up even the darkest of spaces with ease and style! There are three small, but exceptionally robust magnets at the bottom of the lantern. This allows the lantern to easily attach itself to any metallic surface and remain stable & secure.

There is a small hook at the bottom of the lantern, which I would assume is used for storage. Overall, I absolutely adore this lantern / flashlight! It is inventive, compact, aesthetically appealing, and hopefully durable!.

I recently received a 4 pack of Eveready Collapsible Camping lanterns. My first reaction when opening the box was happy that they included Eveready batteries! Upon looking at the product, they were made well, very sturdy for their size and had “handles” to use both as a flashlight and as a lantern.

There is also a hanging hook. The light itself was shockingly bright which would be excellent in a dark room or outdoor tent. That said, if you arent prepared for that much brightness its better to open the lantern while it is at your side or behind you.

Other functions are a red light mode with two speeds of blinking options and flashlight mode. This would be a great option to use if stranded on the side of a road. My family and I all recommend this great collapsible lantern.

I’m looking forward to using them outdoors this spring and summer but for now they will be an excellent temporary light for when the electricity goes out or packing in the car for a slippery, snowy day.

I really like the “one source “ Products. I use them along with a portable solar generator ,works great. The lighting color is very nice and get a great ambience, better than older LED lighting which is gray in color.

The lighting is a soft warm and the 600 is bright. I have 2 600s lamps and will buy the one 1000 for the camping/ kitchen Area. I you need really bright light go with there 1000 lantern ( even though I don’t have on yet ).

Simple,easy to use, no need to set on a changer just swap out the lithium battery for a newer one.

I purchased this lantern as a safety light in case of a power outage, and as a light to pack and take on trips with me. I found out that it had so many more uses and was one of the best purchases I have made this year.

The lantern itself is fairly small and lightweight making it easy to pack and carry around. It has a nicely located dial for adjusting the amount of light. It is a warm white light that produces exceptional brightness for its size.

As a lantern I would give it superior marks, but the real thing that impressed me was the removable rechargeable battery pack. The pack slots in to the top of the lantern, and can be recharged using a USB-C port located on the top.

The battery also however can serve as a portable power bank as it has a USB output located on the top as well. This is very useful for charging a phone or small devices. It also has a indicator light that shows you the level of charge and a small LED flashlight which produces an impressive amount of light.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this lantern and will be taking it with me on all my camping trips.

This Coleman OneSource LED Lantern is so handy to have, there are so many ways to put it to good use, for example such as camping, during a power outage or like we have been using it by taking it along on our nightly walk with the dogs around the neighborhood.

It has six levels of brightness, even on the lower setting it illuminates very brightly, which allows us to see where we are walking and others to see us. It is easy to carry with the attached handle, not heavy or bulky.

It comes with the onesource interchangeable rechargeable battery and USB cord. Full charge takes upwards to two hours, has great run time even on the brightest setting with approximately three hours and about one hundred when using the lowest.

This lantern has a great feature should the need arise of being able to charge portable electronic devices such as a cell phone or tablet by plugging into the top of the battery using the USB cord. There is also a battery level blue indicator light located on top.

This lantern is a quality made product and very durable as it has been dropped a couple of times and has not hindered its performance in any way.

Great value and I’m very satisfied with this purchase. I own several lights some of which are very expensive and I would choose this light over some of them due to the fact that the throw of this light is much more than some expensive lights and has great run time.

It is a very good light and light so good to use I needed a strong light to light up a space in my single story house with a flat roof to check it. I thought you might have included a charger plug and have bought a 240 to 5VDC to 2.

4Amp power supply because it may need to be charged on the normal mains. Just confirm this is OK please.

Better than expected. Better light than more expensive similar lights

I have bought a lot of lanterns in various sizes over the years but Coleman’s Onesource 200L Lantern C004 is my favorite and the one I want to have packed for camping, etc. The lantern is simply styled, well made and durable.

The lantern is small but the light produced is very good; a soft, clear white. This is convenient to pack and carry; it is light weight and can be easily gripped in your hand or simply carried on the wrist with the wrist strap.

It could also easily be clipped on a backpack or even a jacket. The wrist strap can also be used to hang the lantern as an overhead light. But I have also simply set this on a counter or table. I love that this is rechargeable and I don’t have to worry about batteries, period.

Another big plus is that this can be used as a power source to charge items like a phone or tablet. Extremely helpful for those times when I am far away from a power source with a phone low on power.

It does include the USB cable and the cable is red which makes it easy to identify and short so I don’t have to deal with a bulky cord. This is very nice to light a campsite area – I can see very well without the light being overly bright or irritating to others.

I have used this for a variety of purposes from camping, to a safety light when walking the dogs at night, in a power outage, a light source for a dark room and simply sitting outside on the patio. This lantern stays charged up for a long time, and is easy to keep charged.

I have not run out of power on this yet. I found the initial setting was best for my needs but this is dimmable/has a range of light settings. The battery is useable in other Coleman products in the Onesource line.

I have found this lantern so useful and valuable I would definitely consider other Onesource products but would still buy this even if I didn’t need any of the other products.

The Coleman Onesource 200L Lantern has been extremely handy as far as camping and any other jobs that have been done at home. It keeps a long charge and is pretty bright. I like the size of the light.

It’s not heavy or bulky. The convenience of not having to have batteries is great. I am completely happy with being able to charge other devices. This is a great product!.

It is reliable, efficient (long lasting battery power with D cells that are short lived with incandescent bulbs), and safer than either liquid or propane fuel. The dimmer is brilliant, allowing batteries much longer life.

We use it as emergency light during power outages or for occasional camping.

I have had two of these lanterns for over 5 years that I use as lamps next to my bed. I use them every night and replace batteries every 3 or 4 months. When I have had power outages, these lanterns worked great.

you can purchase brighter lanterns, but for the price, these are great.

I’ve been reading reviews concerning this lantern and I believe the negative reviews on this lantern are confused. This lantern works on 8 D Alkaline batteries not a rechargable battery pack as some of the others have.

My lantern is the best battery LED lantern I ever seen or used. It right up there comparable to the gas lantern. I believe it’s the best lantern you can buy. Coleman, you hit a grand slam with this one.

The main reason I picked this lantern was for its large internal battery (much larger than the competition) and brightness. At 500 lumen it feels like old gas lamps I used to use and with the warm glow option it looks them too.

I was tired of inflatable solar lanterns leaking, breaking, and not charging fast so I wanted something that could last a long time and be recharged easily with USB while driving or with a battery bank.

The glow of the lantern is very even and no hotspots to blind you. Light falloff is gradual making the usable area of light more than enough for a picnic table, tent, car camp area, room, etc. It has a few quirks like flickering when turning on or changing brightness, and I would prefer another button to the shake feature.

It’s very lightweight and I almost feel it could be slimmed down or gain an even larger internal battery. I’m curious to see how the translucent plastic shell holds up over time with camping and hiking use; scratches and scuffs might reduce the light transmitted through the shell or impact its evenness.

A retractable handle or slots for a strap would be nice as I like to use it while walking sometimes; it’s easier to see the night sky and hike using a handheld warm light lantern vs a headlamp. I’ve used this for photoshoots and night photography and the color options are nice to play around with.

I enjoy the flickering campfire/candle mode and use it often at home. The randomization of the flicker could be improved for a more natural look but hopefully that can be done with a firmware update.

Overall this is currently the best LED camping lantern on the market when considering the best combo of size, brightness, durability, and battery life. I’m happy I bought it as it will get heavy use in my outdoor photography business.

I have been looking for years for a rechargeable emergency lantern that was attractive enough to have out in my house all the time. I chose the AlpenGlow 500 for its design, brightness (500 lumens), and the colorful fun factor! Compared to the old-school lantern I had, it doesn’t look like camping gear, and the frosted shade makes the light less harsh, and of course does not rely on batteries.

I am planning on using it as a bedside table lamp, for eating dinner outdoors / party lights, and as a fill light during Zoom sessions. It looks nice enough that it fits into my office and bedroom decor.

I feel secure knowing that I have a charged-up emergency light and a power bank for my phone available. I like the single side option on the Cool White mode — would love for the Warm White mode to have the single side option as well! There are now couple of other well-designed, rechargeable LED lanterns available — I looked at the Black Diamond Moji Charging Station / Lantern (250 lumens) and the Lander Boulder Rechargeable Lantern + Power Bank (350 lumens).

I chose the Alpen Glow 500 because it is the brightest, and of course the others do not have the color modes 🙂 I did like the Moji’s option to switch to AA batteries, but I figure if there were ever a long power outage and the Alpen Glow ran out of power, I could always charge the Alpen Glow with my solar battery charger.

A bit disappointed with this one. When I saw “candle Flicker” mode in the description I thought I’d give it a try. Getting to the “flicker mode” was a bit frustrating for me. Having to “shake” it to reach that function made me very nervous (I’m “old school” shaking things was always a No,No).

Pressing and holding on/off button doesn’t seem to change flicker speed. As for different light modes, first one-white, second-real, third-both sides same color, fourth each half complementing colors, best way I can describe it.

For me, that fourth mode is a waste. The other downer for me is not being able to have one side for all modes, just the white light one. I’ve tried or I’m doing something wrong. For now it sits on the top of my headboard as a night light.

The button on top is easy to reach when I wake up in the middle of the night and don’t wanna use the “grid” lighting. With my other purchases I’ve had two thoughts when deciding on purchase. “Can I use it at the hunting cabin or during a power outage.

With all previous purchases the answer was yes to both. Can’t say it for this one. Seems this was made for “Glamping” not “camping”. If you are into partying out in the “woods” or on your back porch than this “little” guy is for you.

If someone from BioLite reads this, consider taking the accelerometer out of the light and placing it in a remote (with a ‘d” ring clip). And add a color changing, S. O. S. mode with the shaking feature.

Unable to get the bottom off the lantern in order to replace the battery. After unscrewing all the screws, it lifts off a few inches but it seems there may be wire(s) connected to the control knob which prohibit taking the bottom completely off.

Can’t really reach anything inside, there’s nothing on You Tube, and so now I have a useless lantern!.

Here where I live we are prone to blackouts and power outages a LOT during summer. I bought this lantern just for that purpose. I couldn’t have made a better choice. This lantern is incredibly bright on high and pleasant in nightlight mode.

We even use it outside in the evenings in dimly lit areas. It’s lightweight, portable and simple to use. Great buy.

I don’t know why they felt the need to “improve” upon a perfectly good item. This new one is pointlessly weighted (batteries already provide ballast), the plastic hooks are flimsy, the battery compartment hard to unscrew then align properly to screw it shut again, AND as soon as the batteries reach half life, the light won’t turn on.

If I could still return this piece of junk I would. The old orange model was sturdy, easy to open/shut the battery compartment, lightweight, long-lasting, and much better quality.

I ordered two lamps. One works. No instructions were included. I cannot find where to open the dud to change the batteries! There is only a smooth round surface that is impossible for me to grasp and turn or flip.

The good lamp does have a bright light. The “hangers” are strangely shaped and did not cling to where I placed it. These will be good with kids or power outage.

Here is my test log for the EAL18 Emergency light that I received on January 17, 2021. I charged the rechargeable battery, that took 4. 5 hours to be fully charged. I decided to do the testing with the rechargeable battery.

On January 17th, at 7:30pm, when it was dark, I decided to start the 50 hour endurance test. So I used the lantern to take my dog for our evening walk for almost 2 miles. The lantern provided adequate light to allow us to avoid the critters we sometimes see during our walks, such as crabs, lizards,snakes and rabbits.

We did get caught in a sprinkler system that turned on as we walked by. We got wet, even the lantern, and it still works. The foldable handle with the hook is nice. We came back from our walk and spent some time on the porch to observe the boat traffic on the ocean with a full moon.

I like the red light that still allows me to see my nearby surroundings without night blindness caused by a white light source. It is important to be able to see your drinks and/or treats while you are checking the view from the porch.

Nice red light! Got up this morning, the light is still on. I closed the door to where the lantern is The amount of light coming from the lantern is not enough for my intended use, which is a subjective call.

I am canceling (not failing) the test because I do not know how the designers arrived at the 50 hour number. In general I really like the lantern. Since the lantern had such a short run time for me, I will give it a good rating, otherwise it would have been excellent.

I do have some suggestions for the accessories for the EAL-18 website that only has the rechargeable battery as an accessory, they are: Include a USB “C” cable with the AC adapter for charging the rechargeable battery.

Add a protective case for the lantern that also holds spare batteries and a charger. This would be good for police and/or fire departments to have a single case to hold everything needed for a emergency lantern.

I would consider it a benefit for a hurricane evacuation kit, if and/or when I need to evacuate. It would also be helpful when I go camping. Add a wireless charging option to a lantern, so that when you are done with it, just turn it off and set it down.

Love this great lamp. I like the feature of being able to hang it from either direction or sit on a table. It puts out an amazing amount of light. I got it to add to my hurricane kit as I live on coast but keep it handy as my electricity goes off often during a bad storm.

Would has LOVED having this when I was young and went camping very often. It?s a great little lamp.

I’ve had this for almost a month now. I use it at work as a plumber. I elected to buy the rechargeable batteries. Since I first charged my battery, I have not needed to charge it again yet. I’ve used it maybe 10-11 times for over an hour each time on various levels of brightness, with and without the diffuser, in multiple positions and environments including inside ceilings (dust), under sinks (water), in basements filled with sewage (yuck).

The USB charger that’s built into this is actually the rechargeable battery itself, which is I BELIEVE 8800mah. If you want to use this as a usb charger you must take the rechargeable battery out of the lantern to connect whichever cable you’re using directly to the USB port on the battery, which leaves the lantern useless.

The lantern itself is amazing, it’s versatile, probably has many more use cases than my own. I use it to light up basements/cellars and other places in order to work on plumbing fixtures, piping, and boilers.

People tend to forget to change bulbs in basements and boiler rooms, so this thing literally lights up the entire room with or without the defuser, just hang it on a support or a pipe with the clips which are very large and can easily fit around many different sizes and shapes.

Removing the diffuser makes the light a little more focused downward. It’s extremely light in weight, and easy to hang. I hang it on the hammer loop of my pants if I have to carry something, it’s not heavy at all.

The only thing I would say I am worried about is the diffuser itself, I feel like if I keep taking it on and off like I do, it will eventually wear out or break. I haven’t mistreated it and there is already a scratch on the diffuser from placing it on the floor and accidentally tipping it over when not using it.

I can’t really comment on the red light mode, I haven’t really used it, but I know it’s there if I ever need it. Overall extremely happy with this, it has increased my quality of life on the job, and my efficiency by removing the steps of getting a drop light, finding a plug, finding something to hang the hook on, wrapping it back up around itself.

It just makes the whole situation enjoyable rather than being an annoyance.

Pros: Main light is definitely bright and really lights up a campsite or living room. I like the built in carabineers for hanging. On dimmest setting it’ll still light up a room enough to walk around without tripping over stuff.

Box it comes in is strong and makes a good storage case. Cons: The slightest tap or bump will make the light briefly cut out or blink, otherwise gives off a bright steady light. Also, I’m not sure the treads on the diffuser would hold up long if you frequently took it off and on.

As others have stated in their reviews yes the red light is dim. Overall for the money, I’d recommend it. Brightest setting it advertises battery life at 7 1/2 hours, medium 15 hours, dimmest setting up to 225 hours.

I went out on a limb and ordered this along with the zx1010 rechargeable battery. A bit aggravated because I missed the bundle deal. I like that the zx1010 has a usb output and can thus be used as a power bank, good for emergency situations.

The lantern itself has carabiners on both ends, and the globe can be removed to reduce the footprint of the lantern. Very bright on high, advertised as 1250 lumens. Medium setting suits most applications for me, advertised at 675 lumens.

Low is more of a “night light” mode and could be useful. Overall a very robust lantern with dual power option and lots of features. Highly recommended!.

The fire looking flickering mode is pretty great, and there’s not really anything else like them. I’ve had other versions of this type of light and I’ve found them to generally be blindingly bright. These are perfect, especially if you live near the west coast where burn bans mean a campfire isn’t an option during much of the camping season.

These little lanterns aren’t a fire, but they’re better than a blinding white light in your eyes at the end of a day. They also still have the option of brighter white light for cooking or whatever else you might want.

Yes you have to buy four, but they’re smallish, and at $6 a piece including batteries, a steal. If you take these on a camping trip with friends or family everybody will go, “Wow that’s cool, where’d you get it?” Buy some, you wont regret it.

These are compact and super easy to use. I love the choice to have bright light or subtle flames, and the batteries have lasted several trips now without showing any signs of going down. I feel these are excellent to have on hand for power outages, and I now sleep with one beside me when camping for those late night pp breaks.

I am most pleased with this purchase again. This is my second set as I have given some away as gifts.

I received a set for Christmas 2020. Since I live in Houston, I knew they would be perfect in case of power outages during a hurricane. Lost power for 3 days & nights when the Polar Vortex Winter Storm rolled through Houston.

These lanterns were life savers for me. They were easy to set up and use. Batteries were included. They lasted the entire 3 days & nights. Love them cause did not have to worry about fire risk with candles.

I highly recommend these for anyone who might experience possible power outages, for camping, for entertaining outdoors, or for whenever portable lighting is needed.

I received this lamp thinking it might be good to go camping with. This lil lamp is packed with some major power. There are different settings soft lighting, bright and holy cow the entire back yard was lit up.

On the romantic side, it has a setting that mimicks candle light and its absolutley beautiful. I was shocked at how many features this lamp had and all those features you will actually use. I would def.

recommend to friends , family even strangers. Awesome lil lamp!.

I purchased this lantern about a week ago. I have tested the life of the light in the white light setting and have found: The standard light setting lasts 26 hrs 7 min(dim setting)_ Medium light 9hrs 22 min (decent light camping in the dark)_ Brightest setting (impressively bright) lasts 1hr 37 min.

Keep in mind that this is on a brand new lantern using only the internal rechargeable battery, you can also add 3 D batteries that would extend the duration of light, I haven’t tried that yet but as of now I have 2 and probably will get a few more.

Cool lantern to have as backup when power is out. Not bad
