19 Best Leave-In Conditioner On Amazon (2023 Updated)

This shampoo and conditioner set is the best smelling product I’ve ever had by far. Also it makes my thick hair so smooth, shiny, soft and silky. I always used to have to use Detangler spray after even with using so much conditioner to get the knots out with other brands, but with this I can easily comb threw my hair with ease! I personally love the combination it’s citrus and refreshing combination is gentle enough to use on my sensitive scalp, and works very well.

I’m so glad I finally found a great product. I would highly recommend, it’s affordable too. I also love the pump for easy use. It’s ocean friendly plastic without dyes etc. that’s why it’s clear and white colour.

I mean who wants the extra chemicals if you don’t need them right?.

First off just a background on my hair type I am biracial (black and hispanic) with THICK but fine 3B/3C curly hair. For years I’ve been using the Tresemme coconut botanique conditioner but they recently changed their bottle and formula so it doesn’t work for my hair as well anymore and I have been searching for a new conditioner.

Before applying the conditioner in my hair I noticed that this conditioner was way more liquidy than the old conditioner formula I used, so I felt a bit iffy about using it. Even once I applied it I was like “wow it’s so watery” but then when I really started applying it and detangling my hair with it (I finger comb), my hair felt so moisturized and soft.

I left it in my hair for a few minutes and kept a little bit in my hair after I rinsed it. When I got out the shower my hair felt so nice. I was honestly shocked at how much I liked this conditioner, considering my past conditioner was a bit more thicker than this but don’t let the more watery consistency fool you.

It also doesn’t weigh my hair down but gives it great moisture.

I’ve been looking for a leave-in conditioner and came upon this fabulous product. My hair is colored, aging and coarse, and needs something that provides conditioning and style support. This checks all of the boxes.

And best of all, it doesn’t stink to high heaven. It’s very mild and pleasant. Wow. I could not be happier with it.

Read the reviews on this product and thought I would give it a try. I have naturally curly hair and have struggled in the past to find a product that brings out my curl without weighing it down or making my hair crispy or hard.

This cream is truly amazing and does what it says on the bottle. Really brought my natural curl out, the result was bouncy, shiny and manageable natural curls. No crispiness at all and I’ve had loads of compliments asking me if I have actually had my hair professionally permed! Could not live without this product now.

Ok let me start this review off by saying almost every hair stylist I’ve ever been to has said I have the thickest hair they’ve ever seen. This may not equal frizziest or most difficult, but it is really hard to take care of when you’re a low maintenance chick.

I’ve tried a myriad of leave-in conditioners to keep my hair looking healthy after dye jobs and rough abuse, and NONE has worked better than Paul Mitchell’s The Conditioner. I was skeptical at first because it has a gel consistency which I’m not familiar with in conditioners.

The key here is to apply lightly, you can always use a little more if you feel it didn’t penetrate through to all layers. I use just a dab while fresh out of the shower, and the brush just slides right through.

It’s simply amazing because before The Conditioner I would have a wad of hair left over in my brush after each shower.

I have fine straight hair that needed some shine and volume. The Cherry Blossom Shampoo,Conditioner, and Leave in Conditioner is amazing! It doesn’t weigh my hair down! It gives it a healthy shine and is so soft! Also a little goes a long way! I definitely recommend these products to anyone looking to rejuvenate your hair!.

I’m going to return it. The reviews were good so I bought it but it has absolutely no hold on my thick coarse curly hair. If I use things like kinky curly I get a slight cast that I could scrunch out.

This left no cast at all so my hair frizzed up when I diffused it. It actually made my hair really dry as well which I noticed someone else commented on with the same brand but a different color bottle.

I tried the one in the green bottle as well and didn’t like that either so I guess this is not for me. However the same company makes blueberry Bliss pomade which is great for your edges.

Worst conditioner I have ever used! I bought this product in good faith, thinking that if it works half as good as it’s advertised, that it should be fine. I was totally wrong! I’m 54 years old and have had long hair since I was 17, so I’ve used quite a few hair care products in my life.

I also use a wide tooth hair pick to comb out my hair after I wash and condition it and not a comb, but when I try to pick out my hair after using this product, it’s as if I never used conditioner. My Loreal shampoo does a better job of conditioning than this product and I end up losing a lot of hair.

If I had to continually use this product, I feel that I would be bald in a matter of years. My hair ends up being dry and brittle, with lots of fly-away hair. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!.

I found this recommendation for wavy hair types on tiktok. I do get an itchy scalp I think my previous shampoo was causing irritation- I do love the minty clean feel it gives my scalp and the tea tree oil has definitely helped with the dandruff.

My only dislike is that my color treated hair is perpetually dry no matter what I do and this shampoo/ conditioner combo didn’t help soften or hydrate. I use it 1x a week instead of every time I wash.

I have medium/fine hair and it does make my waves look Enhanced.

Excellent shampoo. Brilliant for dry hair. It’s not chemical abrasive for the hair. It left my hair soft and with a gorgeous shine. The mask is amazing. You only need to use it once a week as a treatment.

I highly recommend both the shampoo and mask for dry hair. The combo is perfect. Great value.

My hair is coloured and bleached, in the sea and pool regularly but these products help to maintain the curl, and protect from the elements. Highly recommend 👌🏻 Smells incredible too!.

I have tried a number of Giovanni hair products and this is by far my absolute favorite. I have shoulder-length fine curly/wavy hair that gets really dry and finding a conditioner that isn’t too heavy or coconut-based is a challenge.

This conditioner is light enough that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy, but rich enough that my strands get fully coated and does a wonderful job adding needed moisture to my hair. There is a light scent which at first I wasn’t sure about, but I quickly got used to it, love it now, and barely notice anymore.

The only negative I can think of is the price which is a bit higher than run-of-the-mill products, but given that a bottle can last me about a month with daily use, and is still cheaper than high-end products, it’s really not that bad.

I definitely recommend trying it at least once! I also love the corresponding hair mask as well.

I just found this Hemp conditioner (and shampoo) at Target. What a bargain. I am a senior with long grey hair. I have used Giovanni’s Tea Tree shampoo & conditioner for many years to help my dry, itchy scalp.

I was told to continue to use Giovanni’s Tea Tree products but occasionally change off with a second shampoo/conditioner. I’m glad I found this one! This Hemp conditioner is fantastic, smells great, and best of all, makes it easy to comb out my wet tangled hair after washing.

First of all, I loved the fragrance and the bottle is beautiful in my bathroom. I have been using Giovanni for more than 20 years. The Hemp conditioner left my hair feeling clean and soft. I will definitely be purchasing this product again.

I’m all into clean beauty and this ingredient deck did not disappoint. Bravo.

I received this product in one of my monthly subscription boxes and I love it! I have some color in my hair so I love using products that make my hair feel soft and free from tangles. This product does just that.

It smells nice and soaks right into your hair, unlike some products that can make your hair feel heavy and slick after applying. I’ve almost stopped using conditioner in the shower because this product makes my hair feel so light and soft! I’ll definitely be purchasing this product, again!.

I use the copper clenditioner, which I follow with this spray as I blow dry my hair. This strengthens the hair and gives it a boost that does not weigh it down. I love the price. I am super excited about discovering this brand, and I do not want to live without this spray.

I absolutely love everything I’ve tried in the keracolor range and this product is amazing. I have fairly damaged lightened hair, fine hair but lots of it and this applied before styling leaves my hair beautiful, it’s not too heavy, it’s perfect.

This is my the second part of my hair care regimen. Alterna Caviar Anti-aging Replenishing Moisture Priming Leave In Conditioner. This product works best for fine dry hair. Kiss tough tangles good bye! This product from Alterna also smells like freahed baked lemon cookies, so get ready for all the compliments on how good you smell.

This product in conjunction with the Alterna shampoo has literally changed my hair life. It provides much needed moisture without leaving hair heavy or oily. *For context I have thick, fine hair* The first time I used this product I applied about five sprays worth. It made my hair oddly frizzy and almost “scratchy” so I thought it was a bad product. I’ve figured out that you can get nice, smooth, soft, tamed hair with this product but ONLY if you apply 20+ sprays worth.

When I applied that amount it worked the way I wanted it to and surprisingly didn’t weigh my hair down which is impressive. HOWEVER, this is way too expensive of a bottle to require so much product for effectiveness – it would run out way too fast for me to be worth it.

It also has a terrible, chemically scent when first applying that can definitely trigger a headache if you’re sensitive to smells.

I cashed in 500 bonus points for a 4-product Alterna Caviar haircare sampler at my Sephora. I was super excited to try this brand out as I’ve heard such great things about it. The set contained: Caviar RepairX Instant Recovery Conditioner & Shampoo; Caviar CC Cream 10-In-1 Leave-In Hair Perfector, and Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Milk Leave- In Conditioner spray.

The shampoo & conditioner were “average”, as I think my super-long, super thick, coarse and frizz-prone hair needs a shampoo & conditioner that acts more as a smoother or de-frizzer. This leave-in conditioning spray was really the only “hit” of the sampler.

It made my hair soft and detangled, although it didn’t provide much as far as smoothing or any additional shine. It’s not better than the product I already use. I’d be interested in trying something from Alterna more suited for smoothing/de-frizzing.

(The 10-In-1 CC cream was absolutely horrible. It made my hair sticky as I blow-dried it, kinda like products that provide hold like hairspray. It made my hair super dry looking and feeling and my hair was a dry, puffy, frizzy unmanageable mess).

I felt like I got a good idea of how these products performed as I used only these 4 items as packaged together. I definitely would want something more creamy, smoothing and shine producing than these items I tried.

I want impressed but maybe a different line of their products might work better for me.

I bought this Giovanni 2 Chic Ultra Moist Leave-In Conditioning Styling Elixir at TJMaxx tried it today. I love it! It is so silky soft. It doesn’t leave my hair sticky at all it doesn’t ruin my curls.

It’s almost like a silky, gel-like cream that comes in a pump. I’ve never heard of this brand before or seen this before, but now I’m going to be on the lookout for more because it works great! It smoothes frizzies without leaving your hair heavy or sticky.

My hair feels soft is manageable. I had a lot of tangles this morning this cream helped me comb my fingers through without ripping my hair out. If you can find this, get it! You’ll be glad you did! 💚💚💚.

I’m on my quest to find a solid hair care routine throughout the journey I’ve found many successes many flops. I always see this on clearance at tj maxx, so I was a little concerned going into it. After a few weeks of use, I am in love! This has done wonders for my hair, especially combining it with the avocado olive oil conditioner, tea tree shampoo, blackberry coconut serum!.

I just started using some Giovanni Products for my hair, and so far I really like them. I took a chance and ordered this through VC (I usually don’t order hair products); because I use a conditioner in the same line.

I’m just not sure it works that well for my hair, which is curly by nature with a good tendency to frizz easily. It seems to tame it somewhat, but doesn’t really leave it conditioned the way I’d like.

I’ll probably try a different one next time. The scent is subtle and nice with a clean smell.

I love this. I’m going to switch to another shampoo to try out because I want my natural waves/curls to shine. I’m going to switch to a lightweight shampoo/conditioner when I’m done with the Renpure Biotin and Collagen shampoo and conditioner.

I love that product. But I do believe I need something lighter. But this spray in is great. It’s light weight and I will continue to use it. I’m not even looking for something better so I can’t say I’ll use it til I find something better.

I brought this along with the Renpure Biotin and Collagen conditioner and I have to say it is one of the best sprays that I have used. I use this spray after the shower to detangle my thick and tangled hair and it works really well! The spray is a mist and it is not spotty and the scent is not bothersome nor artificial smelling (you know that nasty fregance floral smell).

It is a plant based formula, cruelty free, and it is infused with biotin and collagen to make your hair healthy and strong!.

I use Framesi Color Lover Primer every time I wash my hair. I have long, very curly hair and it’s a great detangler and since I color my hair every 5-6 weeks, this product works well for me. It’s not a thick, heavy conditioner and the scent is nice and light.

I try to buy fragrance-free because I don’t like strongly perfumed products – this is really lightly scented.

This leaves your hair looking shiny, healthy, and is color safe. If you have highlights or an all over colored treated hair this will not strip or dull your color. I love how soft my hair feels after using this product.

I highly recommend this product.

This is one of my favorite primers. It doesn’t give your hair that oily feeling like some of them do. It almost feels like I’m putting a thick water on my hair, but it still ends up soft and bouncy. It’s some kind of weird magic.

My highlights still look super vibrant. This is a winner.

I’ve had this product for a few weeks and only used it twice. The smell is extremely strong. Not a bad smell, but it’s so strong that it makes my stomach upset. The product itself is very thin. I guess I was expecting it to be more of thick spray, like conditioner type.

It really looks and feels like mostly water mixed with a drop of conditioner. I feel as though I could’ve made this myself from the products I already have at home.

This is very different from the cream of nature that I have always used. It is thinner and come in a spray bottle. I am having difficulty finding a supply store that stocks the leave in conditioner that I am used to.

Everything seems to have Arghan Oil in it and I find that scent to be repulsive. So, I am trying this one. It appears to work better on very damp hair but not so good on dry hair.

This is my favorite shampoo that contains sulfates. It detangles my hair so we’ll and doesn’t strip my hair at all. The shampoo has a pleasant tropical coconut scent and a milky white creamy texture.

Any time I felt my hair needed a restart, I would grab this shampoo because it cleansed my hair without stripping it of all its oils like most sulfate shampoos are expected to do.

Great product for keeping the ends of my hair moisturized and from getting all frizzy and gross looking. Has a very mild smell. Overall it’s a great product for dry or damaged hair. I found mine at Marshall’s and am now a huge fan of this brands and all its products.

It is effective without being oily, and a little goes a long way. I have been using this product for years as my primary conditioner, and it tames my frizzy long hair like nothing else ever did, making it sleek and easy to detangle.

It also restored the health of my scalp to control my lifelong dandruff problem. I don’t need dandruff shampoo anymore. My scalp (and my eyebrows!) no longer flake and bleed. I don’t know why this is the secret sauce, but I wouldn’t be caught without it ever again.

Just this bottle and a whatever-brand shampoo. Be horrified if you like, but I wish to spend as little time and money as necessary on my hair. This is the product that makes it possible. It just works.

I have curly hair which causes tangles and unruliness especially in hot humid climate but this right here has been the ultimate game changer for me as my hair goes from wild to tame with a mist of this and it also makes my hair not only easier to manage but smells great as well and my kids like it also.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! After every shower I lather this in my hair and wake up with the softest hair ever. I added this to my night routine recently and I will forever keep it. This is a must have for curly headed girls who struggle to keep it tamed in the morning.

I love it’s a 10 products, so when I was able to try this, I was expecting a lot and it delivered. I actually used this and let my hair dry naturally, and holy cow did it make my hair smooth, shiney, and volumized! I wasn’t expecting the volume aspect of this product, but it was a really great surprise.

I spray about 7-8 sprays into my hands, rub my hands together and then put it into my hair, which solved the “stickiness” many reviewers are complaining about (i have medium thickness hair thats a few inches below my shouldes, for reference).

Also, less is more with this. Do not overdo it, mostly because it’s just not necessary. I actually liked the smell, too. if you don’t like the smell, it disappeared after a few hours anyways.

I recently discovered that I have 2b/c waves. Some days I wear my hair straight, other days I do the whole curly girl wash/condition/style/scrunch and rock the waves. No matter what, though, I now only use curly girl approved products.

I love the It’s a 10 line, but was sad that most of their products don’t fit the curly girl method. This one does!! I love it. It does exactly what the other It’s a 10 products did for me before: condition, detangle, and add shine and softness (plus whatever the other 10 benefits are on the label).

I absolutely love this product!! The smell is great and if the scent came as a perfume, I’d definitely use it. Unfortunately, the scent is not as long lasting as I prefer with hair products. I use this while my hair is still damp, but not wet from the shower.

If I’m brushing my hair and encounter a stubborn knot, I spray just a little bit of this on it and rub it in a little bit or let it soak in for a few minutes before using a comb to brush it out. I also use this as a detangling spray for my daughter – she doesn’t like to brush her hair so she often has knots, but this takes care of them without me having to brush hard.

One thing that I consider a major con is that if I use too much or spray too close to the scalp, it can weigh my hair down or make it look a bit greasy – which is annoying since I’ve usually just washed my hair! The price is also a major con but I will grin and bear it since it works so well for me.
