20 Best Leave In Conditioner Spray For Curly Hair (2023 Updated)

I was told by my long standing hairdresser to try this make as it’s not got alot of the ingredients known to make your hair heavy so pulls the curls down from your hairline. To start with I found this really easy to use and it did work.

Not sure if after I used it differently but didn’t get the same results. I am not giving up as its been one of the best for my hair and stopped the frizzy mess that I normally end up with.

My hair is very happy to receive one more product complimentary from @milkshakeusa – a leave-in conditioner for all hair types. This amazing product smells like vanilla sugar (same scent as their Whipped Cream foam).

Once sprayed on the hair, the scent doesn’t last as long as the scent of Whipped Cream does, but I like them both equally. This leave-in conditioner is lightweight enough for my fine hair and doesn’t weigh it down, yet it’s powerful enough to give great results.

It gives my hair moisture, makes it shiny, keeps it feeling light and easily manageable. I am very impressed with Milkshake products and I will continue trying out more of them.

The smell of this product is so incredibly intriguing and delicious. You can smell every ingredient in the best way. The strawberry extract, sunflower seed extract, milk proteins, honey extract, blueberry extract and papaya extract.

The small bottle is 12. 99 and the larger bottle is about 20. Definitely a better deal to get the larger bottle! The directions state to spray evenly, on damp hair. I followed these instructions, and my hair looked and felt exquisite.

No frizz, my curls were so defined and bouncy. The product didn’t weigh down my curls at all. My hair felt so nourished, hydrated and healthy. Also smelt phenomenal. It says that it works great for long knotty hair, as well as all hair types.

As someone who has long knotty hair, that’s extremely curly, coily and frizzy. It worked amazing for me. A little goes a long way, so don’t over spray!.

I got this for my super-fine hair because it tangles constantly. I have very long, super-fine hair and have to use a good combination leave-in conditioner/detangeler so I don’t end up with a “rats’ nest” in my hair by the end of the day.

I thought this would be perfect, but unfortunately it weighs down my hair and makes it look greasy. **What it is great for though is as a spray-on lotion! OMG! I’ve been looking for a good spray-on lotion that is light enough for my aging skin and can also withstand some of the drying out that just living in Arizona garners.

this does the trick. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn’t work for me for its intended purpose, but it is total kick a$$ as a spray-on lotion!.

This has lots of great reviews but I noticed they’re almost all coming from people with fine/thin and straight or short hair, and they rave about how it’s non greasy and lightweight. Well sure, if that’s you, this is probably great but it says it’s for all hair types and it is NOT, and usually most SM lines work for more textured hair, but not this.

I have thick sorta course 2b/c super frizzy natural ginger hair (which tends to be extra coarse and frizzy). I live for the coconut hibiscus curl line but wanted to try something new so I got a travel size bottle of this.

It was like scented water (and speaking of that, it’s coconut scented but also has a very strong earthy monoi/gardenia scent to it-not my thing, I don’t really like it but it’s ok) and made my hair tangly even if it wasn’t before.

When it was already tangly before, this just made it worse and made it impossible to comb through without breaking apart my curls and feeling like it was causing breakage. My hair looked dull and frizzy felt super dry upon airdrying (I don’t blowdry so no comment there).

I tried using more to see if that was the issue, but when I used almost half of the mini bottle in one go, my hair still didn’t feel soft and had no slip and the only difference was that it now dried sticky, but still frizzy and dry though.

Upon looking at the ingredients more closely, I think I know the culprit! GLYCERIN is the 3rd ingredient!!! A lot of us thicker/coarsier/curlier haired ppl can’t tolerate glycerin in large amounts. It’s a humectant but that means it can also pull moisture out of the hair, and into the air, and that’s obviously what’s going on here.

It does not lock moisture in at all, by nature, and needs occlusive ingredients like oils to lock the moisture in, but when the glycerin is higher on the list than any oils or butters, well, you do the math.

So I’m not going to say this is a horrible product, it obviously works for some, but it is NOT for all hair types. If your hair is thick, coarse, wavy or curly, long, or especially any combination of the above, take heed.

In all fairness, I’ve never had these watery type leave ins work for me, but I was hoping since it’s shea moisture it might be different, but nah. Thick and creamy leave ins seem to just be a necessity for my hair type.

I would recommend the coconut hibiscus curl and style milk instead, even though it’s a styler it’s way more moisturizing than this. I like to use it after applying more of my regular conditioner as a leave in after I shower.

Gives me beautiful curls every time. I hate to leave a bad review but I still love shea moisture and would DEFINITELY recommend their other products and the brand as a whole!.

It’s an okay product. My hair is super dry because I have bleached/highlighted and I wanted more moisturizer. I wanted to like it but don’t think it’s doing enough. I’m halfway done with the bottle and am trying to like it.

It’s very lightweight and the aroma is nice (coconutty), but it’s not giving my hair the moisture it desperately needs. Honestly I would return it but it’s past the return period. I put it in on weekends when I go to the park as a filler (whenever I don’t feel like using my expensive products).

My mother purchased an ABC set on a whim for my birthday earlier this year and I’ve used nothing else since. The moment it touched my hair, the tangles just… fell out — I don’t know any other way to describe it.

When dry, my hair is very soft, hydrated, and manageable; never heavy or greasy. For anyone concerned about such things, it also leaves a nice subtle scent. Even I only need to use a small amount; another bonus because a small amount is all you’ll receive in their tiny bottles.

I am giving this away because I cannot stand the smell. The company describes it as “date and cinnamon” which sounds lovely, but I think it smells like old lady rose perfume. It is definitely floral but not in a good way.

I have never gotten rid of a product because of the smell before – even the ones that I didn’t love the smell of. It is soooo fragrant – not subtle at all. So you if you can take a whiff of this in the store, I would recommend it before buying it.

Product was OK on my hair. I have fine, thin, color-treated hair. The first time I used it it was very heavy but I probably used too much. The second time I used less and it was better but it wasn’t anything to write home about.

It would’ve had to be the best product I’ve ever used for me to deal with that stench. :).

I received this Authentic Beauty Concept Try Me Kit through Amazon Vine. The cleanser is meant to nourish, cleanse strengthen hair by sealing the hair’s cuticles. I didn’t really notice any difference after using this…if anything, my hair feels a bit dryer…the cleanser itself is much waterier than other shampoos, but it lathers very well.

So you really only need a small amount, just expect it to pour quickly out of the bottle since it is so watery. But they are free from micro plastics, mineral oil, parabens silicones which is nice. It also has a clean, pleasant scent as well.

I don’t think I’d recommend though.

I’m always on the lookout for a holy grail leave-in conditioner. My hair type is 3 A/B, fine, low porosity, low density. What I liked about the Aveda Nutriplenish Leave-In Conditioner: It smells nice, with a pleasant scent that is not overpowering.

It has a light, not greasy consistency so it is easy to adjust the amount needed. Since it isn’t greasy I felt like it absorbed fairly well and did not weigh down my hair. It added some shine to my hair where applied, this was actually one of the first things I noticed which I quite like.

My main issue with this formula is that it did not provide enough slip to my damp hair to make it easy to work with or even to disperse the product. When I am styling my hair I am constantly smoothing my hair; whether it’s prayer hands application so a product will absorb or in order to bring stray strands to their curl families and also smoothing the curl “halo” at my crown.

I found myself constantly struggling with drag when trying to smooth my hair and also when trying to detangle it. This drag or friction resulted in an increased amount of hair shedding, imo, per styling session.

I really appreciate that this product doesn’t have a bunch of silicones which my hair also doesn’t love as too much leaves my hair looking dull. I would recommend this product to someone with a naturally smoother hair texture or someone who doesn’t need to overly manipulate their strands to style it.

A perfect leave-in conditioner for me would moisturize without being greasy or heavy, add luster or shine and also detangle/leave my strands easy to work with. This leave-in conditioner fulfilled my first few requirements but the last one is still a deal breaker for me personally.

I absolutely love the Alba Botanica spray conditioner! Leave in conditioners are my favorite kind, as I don’t have to wonder if I rinsed all the conditioner out in the shower. I went easy on my roots, as they have a tendency to become oily pretty fast with most conditioners, but it turns out that’s not a caution I had to take.

The alba Botanica left my hair soft and silky, but not weighed down at all. It even made my dry, split ends feel soft! The scent is nice, not a loud smell, but enough for someone to say your hair smells good when a breeze blows.

Alba Botanica more moisture conditioning leave-in mist. It is formulated for dry hair, and works great as a detangler, does not weigh fine hair down. It is lightweight, and not greasy, even though it has various oils in the ingredients.

It is affordable, has no parabens/sulfates, and safe for color-treated hair. I have no serious complaints about this leave-in, however, the spray nozzle is absolutely terrible! It does not spritz properly, so everytime I use it I open the bottle and distribute it using my hands.

I love it. Ive got sensitive skin and the coarsest, coiliest hair variety out there (4D) meaning super super tight curls and proneness to tangling. The rare difficulties of my hair being both super coarse and super fragile, combined with my sensitive reactive skin and particularness about substances that get on my hands, have sent me on a lifelong journey of trying to find somethinganythingthat began to deliver service to me, the seemingly forgotten specimen.

I hate getting thick or unpleasant-scented products on my hands throughout my day. Im very active and I dont want to be weighed down. I dont want to feel like my pores are clogged or like I need a wash after touching my hair, which seems inevitable in ordinary day to day life, mainly due to the inevitable scratch.

I HATE going for a short simple scratch and getting heavy product on my hands, then I touch my phone and it gets oily or I touch my eye or something terrible like that. I just dampen the hair, part and fluff it out, and then maybe round it off with my pick. It has made hair preparation so easy, so light and refreshing and delightful for me, and thats a huge deal for someone who has spent 21 years hating dealing with their hair.

The light, hydrating, fragrant nature of this product really lifts me up and makes working with these coils a charming breeze. It is so simple, feels so clean, doesnt suffocate or irritate my scalp, and smells so good I would be happy for people near me to get a strong whiff of my hair.

Effective for detangling, even under disaster conditions–Before and after pics included. Sooo. I had a real nightmare of matted knots on my head. My hair is baby fine, very fragile, poker straight, and very thick.

My sleep bonnet went missing, my brushes went missing, and I’d given up my bed to a friend in dire straits and was sleeping on a cordoroy couch. I’ve been narrowly avoiding foreclosure during the pandemic, and truly didn’t have the money to spare to buy extras of something I *knew* I had.

I just couldn’t find it. I work from home, with no video conference meetings, so I typically just put my hair up and tried to find the missing items while trying not to think about the growing rat’s nest on my head.

The cordoroy was causing mats I couldn’t guard against because of the missing bonnet, and I couldn’t brush them out because I couldn’t find my brush, and finger combing wasn’t cutting it. As a result, I highly recommend the honest company’s GK Hair, Leave-in Spray for tackling truly horrific hair disasters. It works and is effective.

I bought this Briogeo farewell kit at ulta. The leave in has scent compared with the conditioner. I used it every other week on my ends. It’s very lightweight, not greasy helps me taking the frizz. My hair looks shiny, healthy soft to the touch the scent doesn’t last more than 2 days and frizz is controlled till next wash which I love.

I would definitely recommend to try Briogeo farewell frizz.
