20 Best Leather Protector For Furniture (2023 Updated)

Leather cream enhanced the condition of my leather furniture. I was in hopes it would help restore some of the color that had faded but not as much as I wanted. Overall it did help recondition and lubricate the leather.

We first starting using your product after we received a leather conditioning kit, with our leather furniture we purchased from Steinhafels furniture Waukesha, Wisconsin. The leather kit included free refills as long as we owned the leather furniture.

After a few years we were told the product was unavailable from the supplier. After searching the Internet we were able to find your product was still available. Have been using your product since 2002 and have been very pleased with it.

Recently purchased a Barcolounger leather chair. This was the product recommended by the manufacturer. Created a soft luster to the leather after cleaning with Soft Cleaner. Seriously considering using products on my riding leathers.

I purchased a leather couch and loveseat second hand. So I purchased these leather protector wipes as well as the cleaner wipes. I first clean the couch and loveseat with the cleaner wipes then used the protector wipes.

after the couch and loveseat look and feel like new. The protector wipes made the leather feel even softer.

This is used to protect the leather in the chairs. Have not had a chance to use them yet.

Very convenient and not messy! I usually hate using these type of products because they make a mess but not with these wipes. They do a great job at protecting your furniture and i have also used them on shoes (not sure if you are suppose to).

Bought on recommendation from others to soften my ageing leather car seats. Was very pleased with results. Used a small clean detailing sponge to apply & warmed up tin first to soften the wax to make the application easier.

Leaves a shine finish once applied but this disappeared once was dried and soaked into leather. Bit expensive but used carefully can cover a large amount of leather. Will definitely buy again once finished this tin.

I have an E60 M5, The leather was really dry and lost its plushness and sheen. After two heavy applications i can see its coming back to normal. Its thicker than Mink oil paste, and takes a little more effort to apply.

Below is a pic of the seat with both and an untouched section. The containers are in their respective areas. They are both doing pretty well. Its been a couple days now and two coats each to be fair.

The Mink is easier to apply and darker at first, but it does fade a little as well. Both required two coats on these seats. Note: Neither paste had this much gloss after being wiped off with a micro fiber towel, but do have a nice look.

Its too soon to see which will last longer. Maybe i’ll follow up later. The Elephant is good. No doubt.

I was given an old pony saddle. It had been left in the cab of a pick up for about five years. Needless to say the leather was very dry, cracked and brittle. I applied the product according to directions.

It didn’t eliminate the cracks. It did make the leather pliable and gave it a very rich hue and luster with no waxy feel. After six months of almost daily use the little saddle is still looking good.

I haven’t had to replace anything on the saddle. I did give it another application before the cold weather set in.

I really like Guardsman. I was given bottles when we bought our sofa and live seat. When I ran out the furniture store had closed so I bought another brand. Did not do the job. After using it for 6 mos I ordered Guardsman online.

You will not find anything comparable to this product. I should work for them. Initially I found this in a furniture store, 10 years ago. Been using it ever since. Boot leather can get soiled in so many ways.

In the construction business you’ll find every way to soil construction boots with great leather, and this is the only product you can get, you back to close to original look. Try it. Best advice I can give.

Just received my package. Bottle top was not on tightly and it leaked all inside the bag. Bottle isn’t even half full. Ordering from Walmart has become one big hassle. This is about the 5th time that I’ve had problems.

This product does not live up to its expectations at all. We purchased two cans to treat our 8 x 10 area rug and used two complete coats on the rug for added protection. With any Scotchgarded rug or carpet, liquids should bead up whenever they hit the surface rather than penetrating the fibers of the carpet.

This is the case with any pre-Scotchgarded carpets or professionally protected carpets. This product did not do that. I don’t even think a barrier formed on our rug at all, considering dirt stains penetrated the fibers just as they did prior to applying the product.

We did this two weeks ago and I already had to scrub our rug with our carpet cleaning machine due to the stains. During my carpet cleaning, I pulled up dog hair that was ground deep into the carpet fibers (mind you the carpet was brand new prior to treating it with this product) which further proved that no actual barrier formed on the rug.

Two coats and nothing! Unfortunately, I think that this was a total waste of money. Save yourself the aggravation and purchase a pre-treated rug or have it professionally done by someone who has professional-grade carpet protector.

This product comes out as a foam, but it doesn’t necessarily spray out smoothly. No matter how much I shake the can and make sure the spray nozzle is clean, it sometimes spurts out in blobs. So it’s not even coverage, and then it leaves white-ish residue on carpet that doesn’t always come off especially in the places where the can spurted out in big blobs.

After I noticed it fading the blue design on one rug, I then noticed that it says on can to test for colorfastness. This is a cream rug with a few light blue designs around border. I wouldn’t have expected it to fade an already light color.

I might’ve had more reservation about spraying it on a dark rug. I’m not sure if the chemical actually took the color out of the blue or if it’s just that the white residue it leaves behind is not coming off so that is making the blue look lighter.

But since my rug is light in color and the place where this happened is mostly covered by a piece of furniture, I’m not going to worry about it. Having said that, I won’t be buying it again due to the fact that it does not spray evenly, it has a strong chemical smell that gives you a headache, and it definitely leaves a white residue behind.

I purchased the regular Scotchgard at my local Walmart. 6 months later the can would not spray. I called Scotchgard and they offered to replace my can. I explained I was using it to coat my area rug and they recommended this.

I didn’t even know this existed! I will post an update as I just applied it today. If it works anything like the original formula, I have no doubt in my mind it will be effective. Dries quickly. I’ve been using Scotchgard for more than 20 years! Best product ever!!.

I applied this to all the leather surfaces I had cleaned with the leather cleaner. It seems to have locked in the nice matt finish that the leather cleaner produced and has stood up to family life thus far.

Minor criticism is the scent which isn’t great, thankfully it fades a few days after application.

We have a cream leather suite which is less than six months old and which we have cleaned on a regular basis with a damp cloth. The dirt this product has lifted from this suite is absolutely unbelievable.

So easy to use, so very effective. Would recommend readily. Quite simply, it works.

Having just finished cleaning a pale sage green 3 piece suite I was amazed how much dirt/dust was on the final wipe over. In the past I have tried to keep it as clean as possible but your product certainly put others to shame.

Followed the tips on your video and was pleased that I had purchased the brush as this was very useful.

Applies very easy and no greasy residue. Soaks right into the leather. It does give the leather a darker richer look. We bought an expensive Italian leather couch and we definitely chose the right brand of conditioner.

Was easy to use

I am using this on an light beige anline leather sofa. This is about the best cream I have come across. It is an emulsion and is not thick so it gets absorbed into the leather more easily than cream type products.

Also it has a leather like scent to it which is better than some of the fragrance-loaded and synthetic smelling stuff. The idea of Leather Master method is this: the soil will stay on the protective cream layer instead of getting into the leather itself.

And when you clean the leather, you are cleaning off this layer, together with the dirt. Then the protective cream is reapplied. The recommendation is to use the soft cleaner to clean out the leather before applying this cream.

The strange thing is this protective cream actually cleans out the dirt much more effectively than the cleaner! Overall, it’s a great cream. Most importantly, the leather does not feel sticky when dried.

The leather actually feels absouletly wonderful! However, it’s also one of the pricier leather creams out there.

Bag Balm is much better; however, it remains greasy for a long time. This product is easy to apply and does not remain greasy. Not sure it protects as well though. Time will tell.

Very good and after use this item . The leather no change color but you may felt something protect in the leather surface!

The rating is not about the product. I have not been able to use yet. The rating reflects my disappointment in the delivery. The spray bottle came in a sealed plastic bag ( thank goodness!) and there was cream all over the inside of the bag.

What a mess! When I cleaned up the bottle and tried to use the product, the sprayer didn’t work. It is very very rare for me to have an issue with a Walmart order but this was extremely aggravating.

I purchased this leather cleaner and polish to try to clean up a leather recliner that was looking a little neglected. The leather was parched and dry and on its way to cracking in some areas. I would suggest that you follow the directions and do a test of the product in an inconspicuous area.

I did and I saw that come of the color did come off onto the white towel I was using but it was minimal and the results were outstanding. Easy to use and leaves a light citrusy scent which was not objectionable at all to me.

Because my chair was so ‘neglected’ I decided to let the product soak in and did not buff it off as advised. I will see how it looks tomorrow and may even do another application and then buff. I will definitely use this again and because it was so easy to use and I have a lot left in the spray bottle so there is no excuse for me not too! Reasonably priced too.

I like it pretty well, but, nothing I’ve seen beats Saniwax. A product my mom and I have used all our lives. I don’t think they make it anymore and that breaks by heart. I only tried this product a couple of times and maybe I will get used to it but I guess instead of spray, I like just dumping a little on a rag or the thing you are doing and rubbing it in suits me better.

I did spray and wipe but it really will take time for me to figure out if I like it the same as Saniwax!.

I literally just received this product today, opened the box and put it right to work on 3 different things: 1. Kitchen table seats. These seats get used every single day and although I’ve kept them up with other products and was happy with the results I knew they could look better, here’s where this product from TriNova comes in.

I dispensed an even straight line on the provided pad, thank you for that, and got right to it. The product is clear and on the thicker side, so you don’t need a lot, it goes a long way. I worked it in and it literally brought back the original color of the seats, started drying pretty quickly as well.

The smell is that natural leather smell, not over the top either. Once I was done I stood back to admire the seats, they look and smell great, look fantastic! 2. Old pair of Sketcher casual shoes. I have a pair of shoes that I can’t get rid of, over 10 years old and I used this here as well.

Now these shoes have scuffs but when I applied it it actually darkened the shoes initially but like with the seats dried quickly and now they have a beautiful color restored back to them. 3. Steering wheel, shift boot and e-brake boot.

A cars steering wheel is used the most, naturally, so it really needs to be taken care of. I’ve used other products in the past and have been happy with the results. I first cleaned the steering wheel and then applied an even line of product on the pad and worked it in, spreads very well here.

I had enough on the pad to treat the shift and e-brake boots, these are aftermarket pieces no matter, took to it very well. I’m impressed at how well it dries, I was working down in the garage where the temps were cooler too.

Looking forward to grabbing the wheel and driving to work tomorrow morning, I’m sure it’s going to feel and smell GREAT! In closing, looking for a quality, American made product to maintain, condition and restore your leather, well, it’s right here!!.

I used this after first cleaning my leather sofa with a “home recipe” (for anyone interested, just1/4 cup olive oil/1/2 cup vinegar, applied with a soft microfiber cloth, removed and buffed with another cloth, worked very well on this not-very-dirty sofa).

My dog had scratched the seats pretty thoroughly with her settling routine, so I didn’t have high hopes for this product but was pleasantly surprised at how well it faded the scratches and conditioned the entire sofa back to near-new condition.

It comes with an application sponge, which was kind of small but adequate. I eventually got out the larger sponge I use for my auto, making it much faster. All-in-all a great product!.

I recently got this TriNova Learher Cleaner and Restorer. I love how great it works for my leather seats in my car, I’ve been looking for a good leather conditioner since I got the car 1 1/2 years ago.

After using just once, I could already tell a great difference in the softness and shine!!! you can tell a great difference in the picture I’m adding!I can’t wait to use it on my parents leather couches to help them out as well!! They’re older and I don’t doubt this will help restore the older leather furniture!!.

Added moisture and softened my leather seats. Use a good leather cleaner beforehand. Instead of applying with a cloth, I recommend just using your hands to apply, and massage it into the leather. Use cloth to buff out excess.

Leaves leather softer. Your hands will be too!.

I have a gorgeous harley jacket and skirt that was stiff as a board. i tried leather conditioner for clothing,purses(coach cleaner, louis vuitton cleaner moisturizer) and the many bottles in my garage for the car.

even my favorite, duragloss wouldnt soften it up at all. made it smell great like brand new leather(one of the reasons i love to use it on my car seats, makes car smell like brand new). so, i located an ace that sold this “lexol”.

i figured at this point what the heck and my last attempt. this jacket and skirt had been hanging for two years and i couldnt force myself to wear them because they looked hilarious they were so stiff.

alright now the results. holy cow! the skirt is so fluid and moves with me. the harley jacket, wow! so supple and soft like a lambskin leather. my only wish is that lexol smelled like duragloss. it doesnt smell bad ad all, but the bonus would be that it made your leather that lost the leather smell, smell like leather again.

oh and that my ace had it in the spray instead of the barbie size jug. i about died laughing at how tiny cute it was. buy this product! love love love!.

I like it for the price and results. I use this on a ” nulux” material and does clean it and leaves it looking almost like new and a noticeable difference. Would recommend. Best to leave on surface a good amount of time.

Gave new-life to two wingback chairs. Thought I’d have to have the seats recovered (at the very least) as they had dry & “cracked” look. Used this product and they now look “like new” again. Really brought these two 30+ Year old chairs to life, having cleaned each throughly.

A great investment; I’m now using it monthly!.

I am not sure how good of a leather conditioner this is, but I do not have much confidence. I used on my car’s seats and I was totally disappointed in how it cleaned. Or should I say did not ckean. Time to look for a new brand.

It may seem expensive but, if you follow the maxim Do it once – do it right it is worth every penny. Easy to use, one simple application transformed the decades-unloved dry leather interior of my 50-year old Citroen car.

This stuff absolutely works I used it on and old horse collar been hanging in the barn 40 years and it sure added new life to the old dry leather.

I have used this leather dressing for years, on horse tack, leather shoes/boots, leather dog collars, leads and even on leather car seats. It turns stiff leather into beautiful soft and supple leather after one coat, it water proofs and repels water and mud so ideal on leather gear thats used outdoors.

Fabulous if you plan on storing leather and not using it as it stops mould gathering on it from the damp! I treat my leather yard boots and leather riding boots once a week with Ko-Cho-Line, more often if they get soaked and its kept them looking brand new 2+ years later.

Even my ancient horse tack looks new after a treatment! I highly recommend this above anything else. Protect your leather? This is the stuff!.

I used this to revive a Moroccan foot stool leather cushion which was over 100 years old. Its hard to put on (bit gooey!) and did discolour the white leather parts a bit, but worked brilliantly and I have recommended it to others.

The leather is softer and more shiny/nourished. I also wiped the rag I was using over my wooden table and it’s brought that up fantastically as well!.

Used this on 3 leather jackets, 2 pairs of leather trousers and one pier of gloves. Brought back a tired, well used 20 year old furygan jacket to like new again. Same with a equally old dainese jacket.

dulled down the almost pink leather to deep red. Lovely. Trousers where the same. one pair was 20 years old and should be good for another few years yet. The gloves where new but did make them more supple to help with breaking in.

Leave to soak in as long as possible 24 hrs + for the best results. Clean the leather before applying and a little goes along way.

It was not worth it to apply! I applied inside (first mistake), and the smell is so awful. It was for two chairs, but I didn’t think it was a big deal to take them outside since the packaging says odorless.

I eventually took them outside, and the smell is still so potent, even after several hours! Even if does the job of stainproofing, it is simply not worth it for the smell. Litterally just bought an air purifier to try and filter things out.

If you are worried about your furniture, look for alternative solutions, not Scotchgard! People claim that the old formula was good (I don’t know personally), but this new stuff is gross. It’s a chemically smell that you can’t stop thinking about.

For comparison, I consider something like paint strong, but neutral in terms of pleasantness. This stuff is just strong and bad!.

I used Scotchgard™ Fabric Water Shield on my outdoor cushions to give them some extra protection from the daily Florida downpours wearing them down fast. The water shield smells awful putting it on. It’s definitely not something I would ever want to use in a small or in-closed space.

That being said – it did air out and not smell anymore on the fabric after a couple of days. I let the cushions completely dry before putting them back where the elements could affect them. After a good hard rain, I checked them and instead of being Super saturated like usual, they had water droplets sitting on top that could easily be wiped away and barely any water saturation at all.

I did two cushions very thoroughly with one can. If you have a large item to cover and you want it covered properly, it will take quite a bit of the water shield to do the job. I feel like this is similar to the tent waterproofing I did many years ago.

With that, I had to re-apply the waterproof each season. I think it will be the same for the Scotchgard™ Fabric Water Shield. Overall, I do recommend this product. Instead of replacing cushions that have been worn down by saturation more often, this should help keep them in better shape for longer.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars because the smell when spraying it on was horrible. I can’t imagine how bad it would be in a small space or inside and that should be something to take into serious account when using it.

This Scotchguard works but you need to use it yearly for your furniture to be protected. I forgot to apply it after a year and my furniture got badly stained, so definitely set a reminder in your phone so you don’t forget! This product doesn’t smell pleasant, but the smell dissipates after awhile.

I make sure to spray my furniture outdoors (if possible) and I leave it outside for a few hours so the fumes don’t bother me. I know that’s probably not possible with large furniture, so just make sure to open windows, doors or turn on the fan when using this.

Overall I would recommend this product. It works when used as directed.

I’ve used pretty much every Armorall product on the market at least once if not twice. The wipes and the spray are my two go to formulas. I looks to use the wipes in those hard to reach spots and the spray in the large easy to reach areas.

My car is always left nice and clean and shiny! I live that the protectant brings back life to areas with some sun damage as well as making dull looking consoles like nice and brand new again. I def recommend trying this line!.

These did a good job of cleaning all the surfaces of my Rogue, including seats, dash, and doors. I did not use these on any screens and would not recommend doing so. I just used them and they effectively picked up the dirt we brought into the car and onto the surfaces.
