11 Best Laundry Detergent For Delicates (2023 Updated)

I’m all for using green products. but only if they actually work. I ordered the sample pack of the 3-n-1 laundry detergent to try it out and was super impressed! My clothes came out noticeably cleaner that they do with conventional laundry detergent.

I’m typically not one for products with fragrance, so I thought I would like the unscented pods best, but I love the Vetiver scent! After the first load I did with it, my 17-year-old son came to me and said, “Whatever you washed this shirt with, you should use from now on!” The scent is clean and fresh, but not overwhelming.

I also love that I’m supporting a small business. I’m a new loyal customer.

Making my way through the Grab Green scents — Lavender + Vanilla is a nice one! Soft, pleasant and kinda babylike. I prefer the Grab Green 3-in-1 pods to the Grab Green Stoneworks because they leave a little more scent behind (though I do enjoy the Stoneworks Rose Petal fragrance).

Would love a sister dryer sheet! Pods dissolve fine in cold water (top loader) and seem to do a fine job of cleaning + brightening. I pair this with Grab Green Natural Bleach Alternative Pods for my hot-water whites and so far so good too.

I love pods now — easy peasy, lightweight and require less storage space. It’s important to me that a laundry detergent is cruelty-free, so I was happy to discover Grab Green. I occasionally veer off to luxury fragranced detergents (so nice but ****** $$-wise), but keep coming back to Grab Green for natural vibes and good smells at a reasonable price.

The 3 in 1 laundry pods are fantastic! The Vetiver scented is a family favorite, and the Lavender Vanilla is nice as well, it is not overpowering like most other laundry detergent. Not irritating to to my eyes or my skin.

The ingredients make it an even better choice than other detergents. Brightens and cleans to perfection, I’m a believer. Thanks Grab Green!.

I have used Eucalan for years. It is an excellent product and makes washing woolen garments very simple, since you don’t have to rinse. Time does the work, not energy. Before I put our woolens away for the summer, I wash them in a top loading washing machine, full loads, fill the machine with water and put in the appropriate amount of Eucalan.

Let it agitate for a moment to stir in the Eucalan. Then add the garments, pushing them down until they are saturated and not floating. Leave them for an hour or so. Then with the machine open so it does not agitate, set it to spin.

Let it spin, take the garments out and lay them out to dry as appropriate.

As a relatively new “spinner” (wool, not exercise bikes) I’ve been using this not only for washing raw fleece in order not to remove the oils before carding and spinning, and then for washing my skeins once spun – but also for washing woollen clothing items in general.

Just add a small amount to lukewarm water, put in the item and leave to soak for a short while. Then – NO RINSING NEEDED! Just put in the spin drier and leave to dry. So simple – and the woolly things remains soft and supple with a delightful fragrance.

This is the product I use to wash all my hand knitted and crocheted items, including prior to blocking. The gentle formula, cleans the fibers and the lanolin softens. The best part is, no rinsing! This means less wear on the fibers.

I bought a sample ages ago. I know what it’s supposed to smell like and I really liked it. Now smells like a fresh honeydew melon. Which is fine if that’s what you’re into. I contacted proctor and gamble and they said as of sept.

2019 the scent changed. Meaning it will probably never go back to what it was supposed to smell like. Well now I won’t need to look for this anymore cuz I was still hoping the formula would change back.

I felt mighty dumb opening bottles hoping to see a change in scent to actually resemble what is advertised. I’ll just call it quits and seek elsewhere.

I’ve been using this for a while and I am surprised how much I like this detergent. I have sensitive skin and have had no issues. The scent is lovely and I feel it gets the clothes clean. You do not need to use as much detergent as with other brands.

Those who say it suds too much, that is probably why (and they probably could make this direction more prominent on the packaging). To that end, I like that this lasts longer. Overall, I really like this.

I previously used All Free and have been just as happy with this product and it smells great. I know technically fragrance free is even fewer toxins but I like the laundry to smell fresh, and overall I think this purclean formula still has ‘less’ toxins than other brands.

The plant based aspect is something new to me, that I like. Would definitely recommend this product.

The Tide Purclean is really a great laundry detergent. This laundry detergent cleans my laundry very well. Colors stay bright and whites stay white. It really works great on dirt and stains but is very gentle for the skin.

It does not have any dyes, optical brighteners, chlorine or phosphates. I love that it is a bio-based detergent. Safe to use for the whole family. The laundry really feels soft when coming out of the laundry machine.

This detergent really cleans my laundry whether I use it for whites, dark clothes or on gentle fabrics. It has a nice honey lavender fragrance that is not too overpowering and makes my laundry smell very fresh and clean.

When you use this detergent you just know that your laundry will be clean no matter how dirty the laundry will be and that it is safe to use. I highly recommend this eco- friendly detergent.

Honestly, I gave it a try to this product because it was on sale a few years ago at Costco, and you can’t go wrong with a hypoallergenic and a plant powdered product. I’m glad I tried cause now this is the only laundry detergent I buy.

It’s my go-to for the past 5 years and I won’t stop buying unless Costco stops selling it, which never happened before. The one at Costco is 225 loads and cost about $16, so yeah, totally worth it for our family of 4 (sometimes 5 when my mom comes and spends a few months from outside the country).

It has a very light scent to it and its great for baby clothes if you’re trying to keep it as clean and non toxic as possible. Definitely recommend this product for its quality, price and non-toxicity.

I love the vegan laundry detergent. It removes all the harmful ingredients you dont need to clean your clothes. It keeps it simple with vegan, plant-based ingredients and still gets your clothes clean.

Its super safe and clean for the environment. It smells great and leaves your clothes smelling great. You also dont need to use a fabric softener since its already in the detergent. It is one of my top favorite products to use.

I didn’t believe this product would clean as well as tide or get rid of ALL the various smells my two dogs, myself and everyone else drags in. I was wrong. Way wrong. I thought no way this is getting rid of the stank my pit bull accumulates between baths.

In the words of Martina McBride, wrong again. I thought because it’s plant based I’ll have to use twice as much. I use less. So still wrong. It’s embarrassing at this point.

This gentle soap solution is made for washing woolens but I also use it for soaking my feet and washing delicates. There is no need for rinsing, either. For Woolen sweaters and blankets, it really simple, just fill your washer up to what ever level covers the items.

Use lukewarm/cool water. Pour the soap into the water and swish around with your hand. Place your washables into the water and push them down, then kind of agitate a little with your hand. That’s it! Let the items just sit in the water for 15 or 20 minutes.

Don’t turn the washer on. After the 15 or 20 minutes turn on the spin cycle to draw the water out. NOT THE RINSE CYCLE. Your items should be nice and drained of any water, then simply lay out or hang to dry the rest of the way.

There usually isn’t much water left in the sweaters or blankets.

This is the only product I trust to restore these collectable wool blankets. I can’t recommend this formula enough as I have treated dozens of vintage and antique point blankets with Eucalan and they all turn out great.

Many are like new again. The lanolin acts as a natural conditioner that keeps fibers clean and soft while reducing static. The relaxed wool is much easier to work with after the wash, It’s amazing! Some of these blankets can be over 100 years old and have dry felted nap.

After using a teasel brush, the loft and softness returns and these blankets are ready for another 100 years of hard outdoor use! They will also shed rain water like a ducks backside after this. A huge plus for keeping you dry and warm.

I’ve used this for a couple of years now, won’t use anything else. My skin is very sensitive and allergy prone, I tried loads of other brands including ecover…but this is the first one that suits me

I use this for all my clothes. Gentle for skin and quite economical.

good washing liquid. probably wouldn’t buy again due to the price but it is good value considering else where you can pay a lot more.

I’m sorry to have to say this, but I have been using this detergent exclusively for over a year. I just switched back to Tide liquid except for my delicates which I’ll still use this Method detergent for.

I wasn’t happy with how rough my clothes were feeling (and I was NOT using too much detergent), and they weren’t as clean as they used to be before switching to this detergent. I recently started using Tide liquid again to see if I’d notice a difference.

Man, do I ever. My clothes are soft, towels are fluffy, clothes look cleaner, smell so much cleaner and are, overall, fresher, and nicer.

I love the Method detergents and the dryer sheets. I’ve also used the fabric softener, before I decided to just use vinegar. The fabric softener is also great and doesn’t have an overpowering scent, but just enough to do a nice job.

The change was just a personal choice. I have used this product because of our well water situation and I have also issues with heavily scented products, but this is just enough. As far as the person that had the moldy smell, it’s possible that they left the laundry in too long, as our HE has not had a problem with this and our system doesn’t seem to leave residue in our washer like Tide or other conventional products.

I would recommend this product. I have not tried the Spring (Blue) one, but I like the Ginger Mango surprisingly (orange) and the pink one (which reminds me of “April Showers”.

It’s been so difficult to locate the Ginger Mango or any other Method liquid laundry detergent– for over a year now. Thank you Target for having it in stock & for shipping it. Please, please, pretty please bring back the Ginger Mango fabric softener.

The dryer sheets are definitely NOT the same as the liquid softener. I even contacted the company months ago & they said it would be available but it is not. I love the Method Ginger Mango detergent because I have sensitive skin & this stuff is great for me.

It smells good & if I had the liquid softener, my clothes would definitely smell awesome!! It doesn’t take much of this liquid either. And the ingredients are alright. Awesome all around detergent!!!.

The product is very good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish there were a clear & fragrance-free version. The Magnolia & Lily doesn’t give me a headache which is very good. My #1 priority is that the product is not tested on animals, #2 is the fragrance factor & #3 is the price, which is very reasonable.

I really like this product. How mild & gentle it is without the smell of harsh chemicals. I have used this for a number of years. Sometimes I add a little bit of oxy to it. We seem to have skin issues with other detergents but not this one.

I would give it a 5 if I could reorder it in a refill package instead of the large plastic bottle every time.

This products clean nicely and is economical. It takes very little to clean a load of laundry. The price is nice also. It’s earth friendly and helps me. Plus it does a great job at cleaning your clothes.

After researching about this laundry soap, I gave it a try. Wow, this really is a great laundry soap. It’s super concentrated, so do not overdo it. I use it for my husband’s work clothes. For his white chefs coats, I use this with Biz, and they come out perfect.

For his black pants and aprons, I use only the persil, run them, let them soak, then finish the cycle. Persil is the only laundry soap I’ve used where it not only gets out food stains but also gets rid of cooking smells.

With other soaps I’d have to wash his work clothes twice to get rid of the pro kitchen smells. I love the scent of Persil, too. With this concentrated one, less is more. No color fading either. This laundry soap is a keeper!.
