20 Best Laser Scopes For Rifles (2023 Updated)

Overall nice package. On my unit, the adjusters did not “click” as if they had too much lube inside. It does adjust, it’s just a little harder to count clicks. Otherwise, performance of IR and green is good.

The illuminator on high is effective if there is no other light interference. Shape is good, range okay.

I bought this rangefinder because my former rangefinder had trouble getting reliable ranges in less than ideal situations (only about half of what its stated limits were). My old rangefinder would also take a long time to return values sometimes.

This Leupold rangefinder has not failed me yet. I was on a hunt recently, and easily ranged some moose at 1200 yards. None of my buddies were able to get close to that with their rangefinders. I’ve also been able to range hard surfaces out to 2500 yards or more.

I’m impressed that Leupold’s stated limits actually apply in the field. I get reliable ranges off bushes, trees, rocks, and even grassy hills out as far as I would ever need. The rangefinder is also impressively fast at returning values.

The only downside to this ranger for me is that it’s larger than many other models, so it doesn’t fit well in many aftermarket rangefinder holsters.

This review is not intended for Midway but for the product I received. I received this rangefinder for Christmas and it didn’t work correctly. Probably took the wrong route and sent it back to manufacturer for a replacement/repair.

They sent me a piece of junk as a replacement. When I returned it it was in new condition in the box with all the components as I received it new. Got it back with what looked like a used rangefinder with just a battery nothing else and there is something rattling around internally.

Took over a month for them to send me the piece of junk they sent me. I had heard manufacturer customer service was second to none and now I would say they are bottom 2. Now I am told they don’t have a new replacement in stock and will not give me a refund for the piece of junk I received.

Probably should’ve sent it back to Midway for a replacement or refund.

Purchased in November to use while long range shooting and hunting. Worked well for 3 days then stopped ranging. A call to Leupold and they sent a call tag for return. I have many Leupold products and this is only the second defective product I have ever experienced.

Still believe it’s a good product, I just happened to get the Lemon. Sent back in early December, will post again when it returns from servive. Only 3 stars because of this. It’s performance prior to malfunction would rate a 5.

I recently watched an outdoor TV show that featured your product. The tech seemed knowledgeable about the product. However when hunting with it he totally missed the first deer and then wounded another that was never recovered! The rep obviously was tech savvy but lacked hunting and shooting skill! Not the kind of person too represent your product.

This scope is just incredible, it’s a little pricey, but it gets the bolt in the bullseye every time. Calibration is simple it actually walks you through it. It ranges, locks on let’s you know exactly when you’re locked on and ready for your shot.

I highly recommend this scope. It’s bigger than I actually thought, but it is completely computerized and calculates everything in seconds. If you got a good quality bow this is a must have.

This has got to be one of the most remarkable scopes I have ever used in my life. The scope is a bit pricey but I feel it is definitely worth it’s weight in gold. It is very easy to navigate and setup and once you’re done with that part it’s just aim and shoot.

It’s amazing how far technology has come and garmin hit the nail right on the head, to you I tip my hat Garmin!.

Worked fine for the couple years until in the middle of a bow hunt in west texas the display started fading, changed batteries, still got worse. Called tech support they said sorry it’s electronic, doesn’t last forever.

They offered a 50% discount on a new purchase, however said out of stock until spring. Why would i want to spend a few hundred dollars on another one of their products that has such a short life span backed by poor warranty.

Not buying this brand again, unreliable product ruined a hunting trip ranging accuracy. You’d think Leopold would have a better product, and better warranty. I just bought Vortex, good reviews, good price, AND lifetime warranty.

Purchased the RX-1000i TBR in Dec 2014 and now after very limited and careful use, the electronic display has faded or portions of the LED segements fail to illuminate. Called Leupold as they normally have very good repair policy, but this is not the case for Rangefinders.

The customer service rep sounded like I should have expected it do become dim and should have expected a very short life span. I’ve had $2 clocks that had displays last longer than this expensive product.

Leupold did offer a “discount” on a new product, but can not get myself to support this company any longer. The so called discount is very close to the price when product is on sale, so they really aren’t offering much.

Throw in what it costs to send it back and it’s nearly a wash to buying on sale. There is obviously a quality problem with the displays that Leupold doesn’t want to own up to and there is no guarantee newer products have been improved with respect to the illumination function.

It would be nice if Basspro put a bit of pressure on Leupold to support their customers. Single users have no recourse, but larger companies do. If under 5 year product life is acceptable to you, by all means purchase this rangefinder as the optics are ok.

Everyone seems to have their biases and preference when it comes to top-end optics, but for guys wanting the best hunting binocular the market has to offer, dont make the mistake I did by overlooking Victory HT lineup.

You will be impressed.

Basic binoculars have halos, rainbows, distortions at the edges and sometimes double images. They are dark to look through, the focus knob sticks and goes, and everything that sits on a branch beyond sundown becomes a silhouette, blurred if it is less than ten metres away.

When you adjust for your eyes one at a time you have to remember what the other one saw, and by the time you have regained your vision the bird has flown away. With all these factors you feel you are “looking through binoculars” and sometimes just put them down and do better without.

Fast forward to the Zeiss Vistory HT 10 x 42 binoculars. Rather than “looking through binoculars” you are teleported to the scene. Its real, bright and crystal clear. I purchased a pair of these RF Binoculars before the start of the season. These binoculars are far beyond what i have ever used in the past. As a guide, I purchased these for their multifunctions capabilities.

Every option performed to perfection without fail. The built in range finder is a an added feature that allows me to carry one piece instead of two without adding weight. These new RF binoculars are simply AMAZING.

The bluetooth feature allows you to add ballistics with ease and the built in weather station will do the atmospheric calculations for you. This new technology by Zeiss is unparalleled and definitely worth the upgrade.

I have had about a month to review that Shot Scope Pro LX+ now, and have found it mostly good. The Pro LX rangefinder does struggle sometimes to give me accurate readings on flags, sometimes varying over 50 yards in readings.

I always check the reading against the Shot Scope V4 which comes with the Pro LX+ package and I find that the GPS really is a great way to compare the readings with the LX. The other issue I am having is trying to figure out how to edit my online stats as I do miss matching up the club tabs with the V4 sometimes, forgetting to enter a club or two on some holes.

The stats are great, but I find that I do need to go on and edit some of my stats. I am hoping that all of this is just “learning curve” and that in the not too distant future I will be more consistent.

The service from Play Better is better than great! The staff is extremely responsive and quick to ship. I even got some personalized notes in the shipping container letting me know there is a real person on the Play Better end who was wishing me success in my golf endeavors.

Pretty impressive quality with the rangefinder. Picks up flags very fast and is very clear. Easy to use and feels very good in hand. The H4 is pretty impressive, it picked up the course quickly and had good battery life with plenty left after 18 being backed up all day.

It did however fall out of the belt clip, luckily we found it at the last hole sand trap, I probably won’t use that option again I’ll just put it in my pocket. Great product at a great price with excellent customer service at play better.

I do recommend this, almost bought the way more expensive Bushnell pro, happy for sure and great boxes they came with also.

The Laser is as accurate as my friend’s $500. 00 yardage finder. It is easy to operate, and sighing is simple. GPS handheld works excellent, but I feel there is some room for improvement. The belt clip stays on the belt and slips off.

Operational buttons are not intuitive, and you must study and memorize the correct sequencing a simple wrong button press can take several minutes to fix to get back on track. Overall well worth the money.

There are mixed reviews of this online and I have tried and owned different brands over the years. These appear to be a very quality body, better than I expected and the glass is as bright as I could hope for.

As it is 7x magnification it’s hard to directly compare but in terms of light gathering and clarity it is up there with a pair a Leica Trinovid at 8x. The reviews I read that were negative seemed to not understand how to use the various menu items to give readings in different scenarios, I have tried them all with different subjects at known distances and it is spot on.

You may occasionally get a misread but you normally know and I am happy to press again to double check. I have read out to 2,200m handheld and it’s back pretty much instantly. I would highly recommend as my other option was to double up on binoculars and pay about 6x as much.

Works great. Simple enough my 11 year old son could use it straight out of the packaging. Have used it hunting and golfing.

Expected to spend more… but the optics are good and it has great funtionality. Highly recommended!

I bought the X-Sight Pro 4K 5-20 scope and love it so far. I purchased the ABL 1000 and haven’t fired a round to check the accuracy yet but it was a breeze to pair and zero in. I will pinpoint zero it at the range when I have time.

The one shot zero seems to be accurate as I’ve been doing that with regular scope for 25 years now and am always right on with the second shot. The only thing I’ve noticed is after pairing the scope with the ABL I now turn on my app on my phone and waited a couple minutes but the video didn’t show up.

But I had a message from my phone asking if I wanted to use my cellular connection and I clicked on it and think that’s why it wasn’t working. I have a iPad that has may try and use exclusively for the scope.

Then I will still be able to use my phone when needed.

I bought an ATN Thor and after 2 months of fooling with it to try and get it to work correctly, it doesn’t and eats batterys if I don’t remove them each time. I thought I would try a new X Sight 5X20 since they are new and surely will work right.

I bought the scope, the ABL and the upgraded $300 light and got them all mounted and firmware updated. Sighted the scope and it worked right except it locked up and no buttons would work. Per advise we tried updating firmware again and took it out again the next week.

I paired the ABL, zeroed it and put all ballistic info in the scope and started sighting it in. After getting it almost right the scope showed an ERR message up top and then said target unreachable. I was holding it on a target at 100yds.

It wouldn’t show yardage and continued to pop up TARGET UNREACHABLE on the screen. The reticle disappears when this happens so after pushing the menu button 8-10 times in a row to get the message off, then I have no reticle.

Bottom line – I have a $1700 Thor 4 from a year and a half ago thet’s brand new and a brand new X-Sight 5X20 with ALL the adds that totals $1500 and neither will work. Anyone want to buy this stuff cheap?.

Don’t know how it worked. Mounted it on by X-Sight 4K Pro per Option 1. Scope broke in half on second shot. Called tech support and they said the gun had “dirty recoil” and the scope could not handle it.

No guarantees it would if repaired. I returned the scope, laser and Xtrac for a full refund. Their support was very good and the refund prompt. I really wish is would have worked. I spent a long time researching the purchae.

I needed a reliable and accurate range finder for tactical duty. Having researched many writings on the subject, I found Leica was highly recommended and used by many elite professionals, including Chris Kyle.

I checked, and as expected, they also carried a higher price tag than the normal suspects. Relying on the word of people that had to make a shot count first time, every time, I purchased the Leica 2700-B.

On first use, you will immediately notice the sheer quality of the glass. It is clear, bright, and easy on the eye. Stated range is 2700 yards, which is well beyond my marksmanship range for a responsible shot, but perfect-scenario capability can go even further.

The instructions are not a video walk through, but if you follow them you will get your unit set up reasonably quickly. The ability to insert a micro SD card for ballistics is huge, and one of my favorite features.

Program it using Leica’s online app, plug it in, and go. Once set, it ranges amazingly fast, is accurate, and gives your come-ups in Mils or MOA. This is a premium piece of gear, and costs a bit more than the competition, but is totally worth the investment when your worst case scenario is more than a missed deer.

Highly recommended by people of much greater experience than I, Leica is a world renowned camera maker, and the quality of construction and imaging shows with every use. I can’t imagine going to anything else now.

Worked good for about 1.5 months of hunting and then it started eating batteries. Finally it just didn’t work. I had bought it a little over a year before but barely used. No warranty after a year.

Great price, works well but eats batteries like crazy I received this a month and a half ago it came with a battery that was dead, bought a new one. Now the day before deer season I tried it out again as it was a gift to my dad.

Guess what, battery was dead again after just replacing it a few weeks earlier. So if you wanna buy CR2 batteries every other week, it’s awesome but for a bit more you can buy that will last with the same battery for a full year.

I am a big Vortex fan, i have a pair of Razor Bino’s and a Razor Spotting Scope. However in my opinion they missed the mark on the Fury HD 5000s (at least at this price point). I picked these up few weeks ago, after using in the field it was apparent that the glass used is not of the same quality and precision of the Razor HD or Viper HD Lineup.

Needless to say I returned these to Cabelas for a refund. I would also like to add these wear very heavy. If you are to purchase be sure to have a good harness because you will need it for all day hunts.

They do come with a vortex harness, but i found it to be uncomfortable and difficult to adjust. Pros: Outstanding Warranty & Customer Service, Range Finder Works Well Cons: Glass is Mediocre at best, Heavy & Bulky.

This Absolute Zero is great way to get sighted in quick. I was reading the directions and thought, it surely can’t be this easy. So I got the rangefinder out and set everything up at 25 yards. The reflective strip with squares was easy to see.

Got the lasers lined up and took the first shot. With my rifle resting in the same position I dialed my scope to where I had shot a hole thru. Loaded up a second round and boom went thru the same hole.

I then moved my target out to 100 yards and made a few adjustments before I pulled the trigger. Pulled the trigger and was indeed in the kill zone. After that it was just fine tuning. I highly recommend using a leadsled or some kind of brace.

This baby right here is great. It took very few shots to get in in the kill zone. The first shot was when I lined the lasers up on the paper. I then adjusted my scopes zero to the first shot. After this I simply put another cartridge in and fired.

Boom zeroed at 25. I got the rangefinder out and set a target up at 100 yards. Gave a few clicks and it was in kill range. After that just tweet it a bit and good to go. I highly recommend using a bench or lead sled like i did.

Put in the batteries every different way possible – only way to get any power/light was to have the batteries in opposite ways – and then I was only able to get a faint/barely visible light/laser out of 1 side – swapped how the batteries were inserted and had the same results except from the other side.

Bought new batteries and had same result.

I like the range finder, but it doesn’t seem to move the reticle. Even if I program all the info into the ballistic calculator. I also believe it’s off by about 5-7 yards. I have an cheaper range finder that reads dead nits on.

I measure it’s readings by actually measurements devices. That is tape measuring. The cheap finder seems to be more precisely. If I can get it to move my reticle presicely then in give it more stars b is just not working and having to Rezoro shot.

I am the owner of 2 digital scopes – a thermal and a night vision, with different lens diameters. And this gadget can work with both of these perfectly. Bluetooth connection is stable. The installation was simple (adapters are included for every unit).

The instructions are clear, but I highly recommend to watch some videos from the official website.

My ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 came in on Tuesday of last week. I was out of the country for a few days. So today I went out to setup a bait station for a hog hunt on Saturday night and took the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 along to check some distances to the bait station.

Since I own a couple of other range finders why not compare. Range Finder A cost me $650 a couple of years ago and has a listed range of 1000 yards. Range Finder B cost me $295 almost 5 years ago. All distances were originally measured using a steal 100 yard tape then checked with certified survey laser.

At fifty yards all three were spot on. At a hundred yards Range Finder B showed 99 yards while the other 2 were on track. I checked every 50 yards and the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 and Finder A were matching up to the known distances out to 500 yards.

At a 1000 yards Range Finder A lost a yard and was reading 999 yards while the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 showed a reading of 1000 yards. I went out to 1200 yards and the ATN Laser Ballistics 1500 was till matching up with survey laser.

I was very impressed with that. When you add in the ballistics capabilities for a standard scope and its ability to connect by Bluetooth the ATN X-Sight IIs and the HD Thors it is an incredible value for the price.

I highly recommend it.

Seems pretty awesome ! Lots of videos out there to guide you through the set up process ! Don’t let it scare you it seems complicated in the E instruction manual provided but the videos take you step by step and it ends up being pretty simple ! Once set up seems fun and easy to use and eliminates the use of your hand held range finder ! Gonna do the first 3D target shoot April 6 with it should be a blast.

This is the electric car of ranger finders – a game changer. I converted to the Garmin Xero from countless pin sights (single or multi pin). The fact that when in the field I don’t need to first pull out my range finder before aiming and shooting but rather just pull my bow and range / aim / kill leaves this sight with no competition.

The setup and sighting in will take 30min to 1h depending whether you are on a range already or need to move your target to the desired ranges. It adds 2 additional screws to adjust the reticle but I have done it twice now (2 different bows) and it is not that complicated.

Fit and finish are as you would expect at this price supreme. Solid materials and waterproofing make this sight ready for the back country. Absolutely love this sight and will not go back to regular sights.

Not sure I could go back anyway.

Really good quality user friendly laser. I was able to set up and use straight out of the box. I’d have loved to see it come with the rotating base or something that would allow you to micro adjust the beam.

But otherwise, no issues so far.

Just what i need for downlights

Absolutely crap , dpd messed the delivery up twice then ffx persuaded me to arrange that someone stayed home another day and the delivery never turned up again. I ended up buying different products elsewhere at a greater cost.

I could have ordered from their competitors for a similar price overall but I stupidly trusted this company.
