20 Best Korean Cleansing Oil For Acne Prone Skin (2023 Updated)

I am all about double cleansing with a cleansing oil. I feel like it gets the last bit of makeup off my face and I dont have to scrub my eyes forever. This one I’ve been reviewing for a couple weeks and I really like it.

It removes my mascara like it’s nothing! This multitasking cleanser penetrates deep into pores treating skin impurities like blackheads acne all while it’s strengthening your skin’s protective layer, smoothing wrinkles and improving tone! Wow! I really do recommend this product.

A holy grail product if I do say so.

I recieved this as a gift to review. bShe is suitable for all skin types and helps restore pH and moisture back into the skin. She contains lipophilic and hydrophilic properties which are helpful in cleansing black heads, sebum as well as make up.

There’s a total of over 14 oils used in this formula here’s a few of the ingredients: Fermented rice to help balance the skin, Argan oil, Jojoba seed oil, Olive oil, Camelia oil I found that one to two pump was enough to clean most of the make up off my face.

It wasnt as easy as I would have liked to remove all my eye makeup so I used a separe eye makeup remover for them. I did find it to be gentle yet effective. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it turns from an oil to milky texture when water is added.

It transforms into a luscious milk texture when water is added. The formula is hypoallergenic and made with natural ingredients that perfectly suited for all skin types.

This is an amazing cleansing oil in terms of taking off your makeup before going in with a cleanser. Out of all the cleansing oils I have tried, this one is incredible at removing even the most stubborn stains on your face! However, the reason I took off two stars is because of two major drawbacks.

First of all, it’s highly fragrant…Not necessarily a bad smell, but there is no need for it to be that perfumed…Honestly worries me that it could potentially be irritating, even though it’s a wash off treatment.

Secondly, this product has absolutely NO MERCY if you get it in your eyes. I have never had a product sting so badly, but not only that, the pain lasts for soooo long. It feels like as if you were to squeeze dish soap directly into your eyes.

It’s not the end of the world, but it just means this is definitely more of a face cleansing oil and you’ll need another product to take off your eye makeup. It’s still a beautiful product and definitely gets the job done, but those two cons I listed are enough of me to probably not purchase this again.

If you’re looking for an amazing cleansing oil, I suggest looking at Clinique’s – sounds cliche, but Clinique’s makeup removing line is the best I’ve ever used thus far.

I’ve been using this cleansing oil for several months as the first step in my morning and evening double cleanse, and for the most part, I’m enjoying it. These are my honest observations based on my experience.

Pros – Removes all of my makeup, even my water proof mascara, although I do have to take some extra time massaging it over my eyes. – I was hesitant to use an oil on my already oily skin, but because oil attracts oil, this cleanser actually helps balance my skin by removing excess sebum and impurities – Makes my skin super soft – The bottle has a ton of product! I only need one pump if I don’t have makeup on and 1.

5 pumps if I am wearing makeup, so a single bottles lasts me a long time. Cons – As mentioned before, it takes a little extra work to remove waterproof mascara, but I have yet to find a cleansing oil or balm that does this with just a few swipes.

– If any gets in my eyes, it can sting. I have to make sure my eyes are tightly shut and I rinse it off well – Difficult to travel with. Not only is it a big bottle, but oil can leak during travel. I put it in a large ziplock baggie before putting it in my toiletries bag.

– I definitely have to use a regular cleaner after to make sure I get all of the product off my face. I don’t mind this, but if you’re looking for a 2 in 1 makeup remover and cleanser, this may not be right for you.

All in all, this cleaner is great for me personally, but it may not be right for everyone.

I don’t typically do reviews but I feel your products definitely deserve one. I have personally tried many products and spent a good amount of money through the years as I am sure many of us ladies do.

I am 44 so I have some fine lines and wrinkles, combination skin and I also suffer with rosacea. I truly wish I had taken a before picture of how my skin looked before using these products because I honestly could not be more happy with the results.

This cleanser is amazing! It’s like an at home spa experience. It soothes and moisturizes leaving my skin so soft. The scent is like stepping out in nature. It’s calming. It also washes away makeup easily and it has helped calm my rosacea.

I also purchased the Sqaulene + probiotic gel moisturizer. This has been a lifesaver for my skin. My complexion is no longer red and bumpy and irritated. I feel comfortable walking around without wearing makeup to hide the redness my rosacea caused.

I will continue purchasing both of these products along with some of the other products Biossance has. Ladies, if you are sitting on the fence about these products, I urge you to give them a chance. You definitely will not regret it.

Biossance is the best out there in my opinion. And this is coming from someone who lost hope in finding something that actually does what it says it will do! I love Biossance and will never look back.

Divine is definitely how I would describe this oil. I look forward to my nightly double cleanse with this luxurious cleansing oil. Removes makeup, spf impurities amd free radicals with ease. The oil massage is so relaxing after a long day of work and being a mom to recalictrant two year old with just as much sass as her momma 😅🤧 The smell is just *chefs kiss* immaculate! I really enjoy using this product over all of my other cleansing balms and oils.

I find myself reaching for this nightly. Its a bit pricey vs. The competition and I think it should come in a glass bottle vs plastic.

if it wasn’t for this product i never would’ve been where i am now. last april my face was breaking out with cystic acne, my skin was red and irritated. i would wake up in the morning, try to wash my face with one of those drugstore acne washes and by noon was skin was so oily it felt like i was walking around with a layer of grease on my face.

it was horrible. now i’ve abandoned my foundation and i use filters for the sparkle and the voice changers not for the skin altering filters. i heard about the double cleansing method and chose this oil cleanser just to try out the site and give this whole k-skincare thing i chance and since then I’VE NEVER LOOKED BACK! it’s very gentle (my skin is very sensitive and but i could use this 2-3 a day and it never feels tight).

it has a very faint vanilla(?) like smell and it really brightens up your skin. immediately after the first wash your skin will look lighter, cleaner. i’ve gotten so many of my friends or coworkers this cleanser as a gift and they’re always wow-ed.

i know that when i first bought this i was hoping to get something to help reduce the oilyness of my skin and i’m happy to report that this did that. i’ve tried other oil cleanser and this one, my first one, is still my favorite just because of the way it brightens me up and makes my skin feel so soft.

I think a lot of the celebrity(model, actress, singer what have you) skincare lines are a dime a dozen. This one though, it surprised me in a great way! I’ve tried 3 products. This cleanser, the vitamin C serum and the turmeric mask.

I love them all! I especially enjoy this milky mushroom cleanser. My skin can be quite dry, especially in the winter. This is in a beautiful glass bottle. It’s understated yet chic. I prefer this over the bright pink of the Kora vitamin C for sure.

You have to shake it to incorporate the oil with the cleanser. It has a light scent to it. It’s natural and herbally and when we’re used to the fake fragrance of things, it’s unexpected. I don’t mind it at all, I definitely prefer things without additional chemical fragrances.

This cleanser gets off all my makeup, feels gentle yet effective and makes my skin feel amazing. Soft and hydrated, not stripped. I like that the first ingredient is aloe, that’s great for the skin. The lactic acid will work nicely over time and I appreciate the rosehip oil, that’s something I use straight up otherwise so it’s nice to see it here.

I’m super into this brand, I hope to try more Kora organics in the future!.

I really love this, it is beautiful and luxurious. It doesn’t irritate my skin and makes it soft. Those who are saying it leaves a residue and there is makeup left- it is a cleansing oil, not a face wash.

If you wear makeup you are supposed to double cleanse, cleansing oil softens your makeup and breaks it down and then you wash your face with a cleanser to completely remove it from your face. If you wear makeup you should be double cleansing, even just using a cleanser once isn’t enough.

You also have to shake the bottle before using it and i use about two-three pumps for a full face of makeup. Again it is made to break up makeup not completely remove it, and the film that is on your skin is meant to be washed off with another cleanser.

It is a very gentle formula which i love. I have tried other cleansing oils and they don’t work half as well as this one. I wear lots of glitter on my eyes and after using this and the ordinary’s fulvic acid wash my face is completely clean.

If you aren’t using the product properly, you aren’t going to get desired results.

It can be both the 1st & 2nd step cleanser if you don’t wear a lot of makeup or it is your morning cleanse. It makes for a nice facial massage oil too ~ just remember to rinse your skin afterwards. I found that this did a nice job of cleaning my face overall, but if I wore stubborn, long lasting or heavy makeup, I needed to use a different oil cleansing step first.

This felt really nice on my skin & left it soft and smooth, without any drying. Just don’t expect it to be an oil cleanser to remove your more lasting makeup products.

If you are familiar with DHC oil- it’s like a watered down runnier thinner texture. I actually prefer the klairs because thicker feels like putting straight up olive oil on your face. I like this as a double cleanse in the PM, then follow with a water based cleanser.

I do recommend this cleanser for all skin types. I would definitely repurchase this cleanser. My skin is combination/ acne prone, this did not cause me to breakout. Only slight negative is it’s so runny that I almost lose some product between my fingers.

Fantastic Cleansing oil ❤️❤️ it is very lightweight and does a great job at softening up my makeup. Making it super easy to wipe all my makeup away and preparing my skin for that second cleanse. This cleansing oil rinses off of my skin fairly easy and doesn’t leave behind any unwanted residue.

Aside, my skin has no complaints and it’s a fairly reactive, acne prone type. It’s best applied directly to the face to break down the crap on it and then wet your fingertips, massage the product all over till you get this milky lather and then rinse off.

Being lightweight liquid oil based it can be a bit messy when pumping the product out and into your hands etc. The bottle is simple in design and I think it’s cute this way. I also liked the box it came in, the brand design is tastefully simple.

4 out of 5 because it doesn’t remove make-up but not all make-up and at $53. 00 it should remove all make-up. BUT, you do get quite a bit of product in this bottle and mine has lasted what feels like an eternity, it is gently formulated and has been non-irritable to my skin and safe to use around the eyes.

Has a delicate scent and overall feels nice when first put on in its oil form and also after it’s been lathered up and doesn’t excessively dry my skin out once rinsed off.

What I recommend is when you pump the oil in your hands rub it in and then take your hands and just inhale the scent for a few seconds and breathe in deeply. It sounds weird but it honestly just relaxes you.

I tried a mini sized version from Sephora and fell in love. I’d been wanting to try this so after the sample I went out and bought the regular sized bottle. I apply it sometimes after my skincare regimen has been applied and I’m just feeling like I need a little extra hydration.

I love this stuff! It’s very affordable and great for my face. There are two different kinds currently. I think one is the older version and then this newer version with multiple types of hylaronic acid.

I think both are great!.

This serum smells pleasant and absorbs quickly into the skin. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling tacky compared to other hyaluronic acid serums. I like that it has green tea extract which helps with inflammation and it’s jam-packed with antioxidants to help fight against free radical damage.

I’ve been using Innisfree on and off for 6 years now and their formulation has never given my skin any issues. However, Innisfree is known for including fragrance in their brand products and it is part of the sensorial experience.

If your skin is sensitive to fragranced products, then this one might not be for you.

I wanted an oil cleanser a little lighter than the balms I usually use (Banila Co, Beauty of Joseon, and Body Shop) for days when I’m just wearing sunscreen or very minimal makeup. This doesn’t do as good of a job at removing eye makeup as the cleansing balms so I follow up with micellar water on cotton pads for eye makeup/mascara.

However, for it does a good job at taking off any sunscreen on my light days. Emulsifies and washes off easily (I follow up with a foam cleanser) and leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated. Very happy that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or “squeaky.

” Lastly, but VERY IMPORTANTLY, I love the minimal ingredient list! No fragrances, no essential oils, no sulfates etc. just a really solid basic oil cleanser with basic but good ingredients. A few last cons: stings when it gets in the eyes so make sure you keep them shut when washing off with water! Also be sure to squirt into the palm over a sink because the oil can slip right through the fingers – so aim carefully into the palm to make sure you’re not wasting product!.

I have tried a lot of cleansers in my day, from micellar waters to cleansing balms, but I am so happy I found this one from Klairs! This is definitely my go-to everyday cleanser now. I love that the product has minimal ingredients and is fragrance free.

No frills, just here to do the job. Compared to the cleansing balms that I had to scoop out, the packaging with the pump is also really convenient for me to know exactly how much to use each day for cleansing (I use one pump for sunscreen only days and two pumps when I have a face of makeup on).

This way I am not wasting any product, and I found that my last bottle lasted me over 4 months! My cleansing balms have only at best lasted 3 months tops, making this the best AND most cost effective cleanser I’ve ever tried.

It’s gentle, easy to rub, quickly and gently removes makeup – and even great with eye makeup and mascara! Never gets in my eyes, unlike my micellar water and balms used to do. Cannot recommend this product enough, I am definitely going to stock up on this! Thank you, Klairs!!.

I was a little hesitant to try a cleansing oil as I have acne prone skin. But my skin is also mature, as well as very sensitive, so I was looking for a gentle and very pure cleanser. I love this! I have been using it for three weeks now, and my skin is soft and glowing.

You also need only a very small amount, so actually the price is not high for the amount of time the bottle will last. Make sure to follow the directions on the box for a perfect experience. Oh, and the cleanser is also EWG verified – Yay! I highly recommend.

My skin was so oily and extremely prone to breakouts until I consistently started using this product. After using, my skin literally GLOWS and feels so refreshed and healthy. There were noticeable differences in my acne when I stopped using this product.

I am a triple cleanse girl (ok so I am a woman but that makes me sound old), and I use the cleansing oil as the first step in my routine. Firstly though it is not oily, in fact I when I read the description just I was slightly amazed to read oil.

I do not recall any oil when I removed my make up last night or when I washed this morning. What it does feel like is silky as I rub it between my hands, and a little does go a fair way. The black shining substance turns into a milky grey as you rub it on the skin, you do not need to rub so much as gently cover the face, always remember to go upwards do not drag that skin down girls.

It is safe to use around the eye area, and it does an amazing job at removing my eye makeup and multiple layers of mascara (well I like to build, it takes the eye away from the lines. ). The temptation here is to add more, as it really does feel quite lovely on the skin, but resist all you need now is a lovely warm face cloth and gently wash away the product.

What is left behind is the softest cleanest feeling skin ever. If I was not a ritual type person I could stop here as my skin feels amazing, but onward with the triple cleanse I must go, old age is coming and I am fighting it off every day.

I would add here since adding this little black magic to my routine my pores have looked reduced, and people have commented on my flawless skin. Try it, I really do not believe you will be disappointed.

I bought this on impluse, I’d run out of my oil cleanser and needed another and I’d been using other products from the range so thought I would give this a try. I started using it as I would any oil or balm cleanser, massaging onto dry skin and then removing with a flannel before moving onto my second cleanse.

I couldn’t understand why after two uses my skin as so dry and uncomfortable after using this – that should never happen with an oil. I was also really shocked to see that when I used water to remove that the cleanser started foaming – again not what I expect from a true oil.

I realised that I should have checked more carefully before purchasing as I think the name on this is misleading. There may be oils within the formulation but it is a foaming cleanser and not a true oil by comparison with other oil cleansers.

I would never use a foaming cleanser especially not as a first cleanse to try and remove makeup and spf as I have to be quite rigorous to get this all off and in doing so the foaming action strips my skin.

So disappointed in this product. Might be great for some people but this is not what I was expecting from the name and label and not good at all for my dry and rosacea skin.

I bought this product out of curiosity and i do not regret! This is such an unusual product. I use it to remove my make up and works very nice. It is a cleansing oil that after massaging it into the skin, it changes to a kind of a milky cleanser that smell gorgeous 🙂 it is unusual because of its black colour due to the charcoal ingredient.

I love that after cleansing my skin it leaves a nice glow. You just need a very small amount, I clean and massage my skin with the black cleansing oil, and then I remove it with warm water. Highly recommended :).

I first bought the trial size because i just wanted to get minimum spent for free shipping. But the cleansing oil doesn’t disappoint me. Melts my makeup & easy to remove. It doesn’t stings my eyes. Would definitely repurchase the full size if i have extra budget hihi.

It does its job. Remove the makeup/ dirt so easily and gently. After usage, it makes my face feels smooth and clean. To me, it doesn’t feels too extra oily and it is so easy to wash off. Cleaning oil is a must have especially for those makeup- junkies!.

The product isn’t my favourite unfortunately. I am not sure it really does the job in terms of removing make up. Also, it leaves the skin a bit dry. Finally I really don’t enjoy the smell of it. I love this oil cleanser! I have sensitive skin so I wanted a nice oil cleanser without any added fragrances. This is perfect! Other people have said it smells bad but I haven’t noticed any strong or bad smell to the product.

It does its job and my skin has been looking better since I added it to my routine :).

I love oil cleansers and this one is lovely. It does an amazing job at removing stubborn sunscreens (even the mineral kinds) and eye makeup. It’s lightweight but luxurious at the same time. I do wish they added essential oils to make the scent nice like their Time is Running Out Mist ;-).

Wow what a lovely cleansing gel this is! The smell is so fresh & pretty & it makes light work of removing all traces of dirt & pollution, leaving my skin feeling perfectly clean without any tightness.

Also makes the perfect double cleansing routine when used alongside the Centella Cleansing Oil to remove make-up. My go to cleansing range & I love it!.

I have struggled through Alot of products to find something that was kind to my skin but also a good cleanser, this stuff is my go to product now, my skin feels clean and fresh, but light I don’t feel like my skin is tight and and dry, I follow this with a few more of their products, absolutely amazing skin care range I have combination skin, and get really oily break outs, since using erborian I have no excess oils, my skin has improved within a week and its the only brand that has got rid of my stubborn black heads.

I can’t say anything about any of the products I have used except your skin will thank you.

Excellent gel to wash your face! Has a fragrance but not overpowering one, did not irritate my skin or eyes, takes off basic makeup and sunscreen. The texture feels so gentle and pleasant! Highly recommend.

Best cleansing oil so far for me. It has no scent and feels more like a liquid soap rather than a regular cleansing oil. It’s rather intensely black, so make sure it doesn’t run down your sleeves or gets on your collar – no big deal to wash it off, but it can stain.

It removes make up excellently. Even the chanel mascara and bb creams along with some heavy foundations. It’s interesting that being an adept of double cleansing I can tell that there seems to be no point in doing so after using this oil.

Really. There is even no common (wrongly taken) feel of super soft skin, which some oils might trick you into keeping. The skin is simply clean, not dry not oily. Just skin. It’s so good I sometimes find it boring and go try other things, but always come back to my trusted “work horse” of cleansing oils.

First, I love the scent. It’s not too strong. It’s herbal-y. If you’re old enough to remember, it smells like the original Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo. That original birch/herb scent! It is a solid oil.

It melts in your hand and on your face, but it’s not drippy. Feels moisturizing, not stripping, as you remove your makeup. If you want, you can use water to remove it instead of a tissue. It will come off cleanly with warm water.

It doesn’t strip your skin, so if your face is drier, you might really like this one. I keep coming back to it. I’ve used it since it first came out.

Even though it’s a little pricey, this product is absolutely worth it. I purchased one months ago and I’m just now starting to run out- you really don’t need that much product to remove a full face of makeup.

It comes with a spatula so you can be cautious of how much product you’re scooping out. I have normal to dry skin, and this product completely removes my makeup without leaving any residue OR drying my skin.

My skin is also acne-prone, and this product hasn’t broken me out even after months of using it. I follow up with a facial cleanser, even though this product removes 100% of my makeup. So much easier and less wasteful than using makeup wipes.

Definitely buying this again!.

This is the best cleansing balm I’ve ever used and I’ve tried a handful of different highend ones. Average packaging- the normal wide plastic jar that has become THEE typical cleansing balm container.

Price isn’t bad, $40ish for 2. 8oz. It takes such a small amount of product to do your entire face thoroughly, and the product lasts forever. I’ve been using mine as a first step in a double cleanse routine- I use it once a day.

I’ve been using this for 6 months and still have a bit of product left. Just a small dab a day that I rub between my hands before applying it to my entire face. It melts down makeup- even the most stubborn waterproof formulas.

Its gentle- I can’t see this being irritating to anyone. It washes off fairly easy for a balm. It leave my skin super clean and NEVER tight. When I’m lazy and use this product alone my skin feels very soft and hydrated after cleansing.

Love this product, will buy more when I run out and rave about this to everyone.
