20 Best Knife Set For Bbq (2023 Updated)

Grew up with Old Hickory knives in my mother’s kitchen. Decided to get my own. Very pleased with them! They are still well made in the US of A, full tang, with nice, durable hardwood handles and arrive sharp enough to slice a tomato just by using gravity.

Being carbon steel, they will tarnish if you put them away wet or dirty, but they clean up nice no matter what and over time they develop an attractive patina. They stay sharp for a decently long time and sharpen up to the finest edge you could ever want.

Razor sharp. Take care of them and they will serve you well! I recommend you track down an Old Hickory cleaver and made a complete set that will last longer than you will. They don’t come with a wooden knife block, but I recommend you purchase a magnetic knife rack and display them on the kitchen wall next to the fridge, just like Mama did.

These are carbon steel knives my friend, not stainless steel. So special care is needed. After using, immediately wash AND THAN DRY with a paper towel or dry cloth. If you dont do this the knife blade will develop rust and develop some discoloration.

The beauty of a carbon steel blade is that it can be sharpened to a fabulous edge with minimal effort and the blade will keep that edge for a long time. I am very happy with this knife set and would highly recommend for the price.

This was a wish come true for my husband, who says this knife cuts large cuts of meat like it?s slicing through butter. The edge is super sharp, and the shape and balance make for a smooth cutting motion.

My butcher’s knife is wonderful! It cut my roast in half like butter and my ham into thin slices. I wish I’d bought it sooner! I’m all giddy over the knife and intend to purchase other items.

This knife set is amazing on all levels. They look and function like a dream. Perfect for my every day home cooking. The magnetic block holds everything securely and makes taking the knives out “fun”.

it makes the best sound. A couple of the knives weren’t as sharp as I like out of the box so I used the sharpener that came with it. Very easy to use and gave me the results I wanted with just a couple passes.

This set of knives arrived in a timely manner. They were packaged beautifully packaged. (I’m kind of a marketing nerd, so I notice things like packaging) The information booklet was hilarious! The knives are beautiful on my counter and they are very sharp and easy on the hand.

First impressions when opening my set was quality. Knifes are well balanced, very sharp, flows with my decor in my kitchen extremely well. This came with a cutting board that matches the set! The first time I used them was to prep dinner.

The scissors are great to trim chicken and to roughly chop greens. My favorite is the cleaver which chops through bones easily. This set comes with a knife sharpener that helps keeping your knife set sharp.

Very good knifes we have been using them almost everyday since I got them a few months ago, and they stay sharp for quite a long time. I use them on various meats and the occasional fruit and veggies and haven’t let me down yet.

Of course they do need a good sharpen every now and then but what knife doesn’t, for the price they are a excellent product.

Bought these for travel as we typically stay in AirBnB or VRBO cabins several times a year. My kids said I should buy a set of travel knives because I always complain about the knives where we stay. The next day the CampChef ad appeared on my web browser for these knives.

I was very exited for this knife set, but was extremely disappointed when they arrived. They don’t seem to be quality knives. Flimsy and cheap. I also would have liked to see a sheath for each knife.

Very poor quality! Wrong item in the box! After one hand wash knives get rust ! Plastic knifes holder broke by themselves!Not recommended!

This setup of knives is amazing! It really is a nice touch to my kitchen. I really like the idea that they are a counter saver. Fold them up when you are done using them. Nice feature.

Dangerous to unpack due to the heavy duty blister packaging. Use caution. Once removed, the cutting edge angle was clearly uneven and slightly inconsistent the length of the edge. Sharpness was indeed good but not really close to what my professional brand was out of the box.

Heavier than I thought when purchased, but that’s actually a nice surprise because the Chef’s knife was actually well balanced. This is an Overall decent value for the price. Not used enough yet to gauge the edge holding capability yet.

Sooooo, we love the show & saw that they made these knives. So of course! Keep this in mind. I’ve been in the military my whole life, studied MMA, throwing knives since I was 11 years old & never had a serious injury.

As we were unwrapping these, I used another knife to cut the zip tie, with the forged knives tip, facing up! Big mistake! My knife slipped, & 1/8th of the tip of my right thumb, was laying on the floor with a fountain of blood gushing down my hand.

Ouch!! So my final review? “It will cut!” And Doug would’ve been proud because it was such a clean cut too. Thanks for the amazing knives, but after it attacked me for saying this same comment? They could’ve used better “handle” material, & now after the fumble with the unwrapping? Maybe a cheaply made wood box, with the forged in fire symbol burned into it as a new packaging? I’m sure it would prevent any further injuries like mine from Occurring.

But pros; SUPER sharp out of the package, perfect balance, & the price? For a well tempered blade? You really can’t beat.

The exact same item seen on television for 1/2 the price! I bought two sets for the price of one! Moving forward, yes they are fantastic knives. Are they are great as advertised, not really, even when I used much pressure trying to cut through thick frozen meat.

But this is the best that there is out there, and the cherry on the cake is the unbelievable price. I definately don’t regret the purchase, actually, I would have paid full price for one and considered it a great deal.

I was looking for an affordable knife set to keep in the car for when we go out for barbeque or picnic. I was amazed by the quality of these knives. They are not the cheap-looking knives you get from your supermarket barbeque aisle at all.

The metal seems to be very durable and easy to use on steaks and any vegetables. They come in their own carrying case, which is great for outdoors. It also comes with its own sharpener. This set may not be Wustof, but it is definitely unbeaten at this price.

Used the set for BBQ outdoor for the summer. Sometimes I am just too lazy to clean up and leave the knives and forks outside for a couple of days, only cleaning before the next use. No rust has developed on the surface, I would say they are tough built.

I finally splurged & treated myself to this 8 pc Shun knife set! I am not sure why I waited so long. Before this we had 2 other I individual Shun knives and a couple other German knives. And having just 2 good knives is not enough.

Having the full set from utility, chef’s knife, slicing, etc is versatile now that we are home all the time cooking more than ever. Super sharp & the handles on these are gorgeous.

(’22) Cuisinart is a well known and trusted brand of late. This 14 Piece set is beautiful. Stainless steel blades for cutlery to use in your kitchen. It’s sold just about anywhere. Cuisinart does not disappoint with the sharpness, look and usage.

The scissors to me are an added bonus to use with vegetables as well or anything you may need. With stainless steel do not immerse in water, just wipe them clean to make them last longer. I would highly recommend them.

The knives pictured have a lighter block than the ones I received and I was thrilled! I bought these as a deal of the day, seeing them as a gift for a family member who had asked for a knife set that wasn’t too expensive.

The price was so low at the time I treated myself, not knowing the quality would be so good! The chef’s knife alone was worth the purchase price and there is a carver, a bread knife, a pairing knife, a small serrated knife, shears, six steak knives and a sharpening stick.

Wow! I’ve liked the quality, style and functional ability of Cuisinart products ( I recently bought a Griddler that I love), and I am thoroughly pleased with this knife block. I will be glad to try other appliances if they are all this quality and affordability!.

Because of the price it left me a little hesitant on the quality of the knife set. My only complaint is purley based on consistency in the set as I wish the kitchen shears and knife sharpener both had the same handle as the rest of the set (see photos).

However, these knives are not only aesthetically pleasing, as I went with the white, but the quality is typical Cuisinart: solid! They’re sharp, the weight is solid and everything else you could possibly ask for as far as a knife set goes.

Wish it had a small spreader, however I knew that there wasn’t one going into this purchase. With that being said, for under $60, I don’t think you can find anything the same quality and chicness than this knife block set, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you Cuisinart!!.
