20 Best Keyboard Switches For Osu (2023 Updated)

This is an awesome keyboard! I *do not* use it for gaming, so I can’t speak to how it works with games. I just wanted a “clicky” keyboard, like I’ve been used to using over the decades. It’s easy to use right out of the box, and other keyboard settings can be done through the LGHub software, which you can download from Logitech’s site, and be sure and download the LGHub manual.

What I found most helpful about the keyboard is being able to set certain keys a different color than other keys, and not have to hunt for them because a different color jumps out at you right away. Actually, that’s why I bought the keyboard.

As far as setting different key colors, go to the LGHub manual, pages 10, 17, and 18. I first off set the keyboard to go off after a few minutes of inactivity (pg 10), and pages 17 and 18 show you how to do the “Freestyle” key color designations, and it was pretty easy to do.

Be sure and have the software program fill your whole screen, as that makes it easier to draw a rectangle around the key you want to color. You can also drag a rectangle around several keys in a row at once, if you want, and color them.

I love this keyboard!! The keys have just the right amount of “clickiness” sound and feel just right as you type.

This keyboard is great if you love mechanical switches (especially colicky ones) for things like gaming or even just typing for normal purposes like work. Usually people who like to game prefer a tenkeyless keyboard, but I also use this keyboard for work so I needed it and this was the best keyboard I could find in my price range.

The braided USB cable seems sturdy and looks nice and the USB pass-through on the keyboard is convenient if you have a wireless mouse or want to charge your phone or even want to plug in a usb storage device to transfer data without having to reach to the back of the computer.

The included armrest is very comfortable in my opinion as I work on a computer for 8 hours a day. I did swap out most of my keycaps for the HyperX Pudding keycaps for some personal aesthetic choices, but keep in mind that aftermarket keycaps won’t fit correctly on the bottom row of the keyboard and they look and feel a bit wonky or uncentered on some of the larger keys.

The Logitech software for the keyboard is decent, however I do use it on my work computer which I can’t download unapproved programs onto and I personally can’t seem to figure out how to use the onboard memory to save custom profiles to the keyboard so I can use the lighting and custom hot keys that I like once I unplug it from my personal computer and plug it into my work computer but that’s alright since I don’t need to go full blown outlandish RGB for data entry and the preinstalled lighting configurations are good too.

The only con that I can think of that most people would have is the lack of an indicator for Number Lock and Scroll Lock. They have indicators for Caps Lock and game mode, but not for the other two. Also the keyboard can sound a bit tinny/echo-y if it’s on a hard surface without something a little softer between them like a desk mat or long mousepad.

Overall, great keyboard for my personal needs!.

Good things: I’ll start off with the good things. It’s compact and doesn’t take up as much room as a full-sized g815. This is good because I rarely know anyone who uses the number keys or macros of the g815 so the tkl version has just what you need and with extra room for your desk.

The keys are very responsive and smooth. It requires very little to actuate the keys, meaning you will likely have a higher typing speed because of this and the fact that the keys are so close to each other, making it easy to glide across each key you type.

The keys themselves are not too bulky or huge like other keyboards, which I really like. Bad & Horrible things: – The keyboard is not designed in a way that you can use it wired instead of wireless in an easy way.

The biggest thing, if you use this keyboard wired, when you power off your PC, the lights will dim after 5 minutes, but if you press any key, it still turns the lights back on, meaning there is still power to the keyboard.

I’m not sure who designed it this way or what the thinking process was but this is ridiculous. It makes it so that each time I power off my PC, I have to physically move the switch on the back of the keyboard to power off the keyboard and each time I power on the PC, I have to move the switch back to power the keyboard back on.

I have never encountered this with any keyboard in my life. Despite the LogitechG subreddit having people asking for G815 TKL instead of the wireless G915 TKL, they still ended up making this and we have no easy way of being able to use this keyboard in a wired mode instead if we wanted to.

Not to mention, based on the comments of LogitechG tech support reps on the subreddit, they claim that using the keyboard wired for too long can cause battery issues, so it’s literally made by design to force you to use it wirelessly when most people want to use it wired.

I don’t care how sophisticated the wireless technology is, I don’t want to use it wireless, what is so difficult about this to understand and why are the devs this stubborn to force you to use it wireless, coupled with their awful software.

I do not care for any features that save battery on the keyboard, because I’m using it wired. – This keyboard is made by design in such a way that you cannot control the lighting of it unless you get their horrible G Hub software.

And no, I’m not the only one that thinks this because there have been videos, comments on sites, and forum posts on their Reddit for the past 3-4 years explaining in heavy detail why the G Hub software is horrible and Logitech ignoring and disregarding any feedback related to it because it has stayed pretty much the same throughout the years, with the same horrible base features that make the experience of modifying your peripherals un-intuitive and very annoying.

– The lighting on the keyboard is set to automatically turn off every 5 minutes. So unless you look up a YouTube tutorial on how to use the on-board memory feature of the G Hub software, there is no way to permanently make your keyboard have the lights stay on without dimming.

I had to go out of my way, to figure out how to make a profile on the G Hub software where I had to set a profile setting the light turn off feature to never, then binding that profile to the on-board memory profile of the keyboard so that I can still use it if I end the process of G Hub in my task manager or uninstall the program.

(I uninstalled G Hub and will explain exactly why in the next point). – G Hub. Whoever made this software needs to legitimately be fired. First off, if you’re using Logitech Gaming Software for any of your older Logitech peripherals like the g303 for instance, it will detect the LGS that I’m trying to use and gives some message with LGS stating “Your Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex is now supported in the new Logitech G HUB software, giving you more advanced configurations and features.

” and doesn’t let me use LGS again unless I uninstall G Hub. I do not want to use GHub because it automatically switches my DPI for different games and sometimes even switches the dpi back after I disable the games it for some reason detects in my “Games & Applications” section.

I don’t understand why this feature is enabled by default anyway because wouldn’t most people want to have the same dpi across everything that they use by default? I have rarely heard anyone having to switch their DPI for each individual game or application.

The software is so awful, that the LogitechG subreddit has petitions every couple of weeks to remove it and go back to a software that does actually work, such as Logitech Gaming Software or even the Logitech on-board memory manager, but the developers are so stubborn, that they are unwilling to listen to any of the feedback or make it actually intuitive.

Overall, the keyboard hardware itself is great, but everything else related to how it was designed to function in regards to the lighting dimming because of assuming people will just use it wirelessly and want to save battery and having no intuitive way to change this or workaround it, makes it not feasible to use.

That combined with the fact that your battery on the keyboard will degrade faster if you just use it wired and the fact that you to manually turn the physical switch on the keyboard off and on each time you power your PC off or on, makes it not worth the headache.

You have to ask yourself why was a basic feature like this overlooked just to make it so that my keyboard lights stay on while the PC is on and stay off when the PC is off? It doesn’t seem like it’s that much to ask for.

I’ll be returning the keyboard and either getting a different brand tkl keyboard or waiting till Logitech comes out with a G815TKL. For now though, it’s not worth the hassle of keeping it.

I splurged on this keyboard (obviously it’s pricey, alright, everyone can see that, but you wouldn’t be here if you weren’t tempted nonetheless). I love it! The average person won’t need a keyboard nearly this elaborate, but if you’re like me and PC parts bring you joy then this is the keyboard for you.

When I was shopping, the key style and quality were both very important to me, so I’ve broken them down below. For me, this keyboard is the whole package. I absolutely adore it! KEYS: I got the tactile keys because I personally prefer shorter keys over the tall “clicky” ones.

The key style is going to boil down to your personal preference (for example my brother thought I was crazy for choosing the tactile over the clicky keys). I love the tactile because they’re not as bulky but still have some “give” to them when you type.

Also, the full-size keyboard was sold out when I made my purchase, but I seldom use that number pad anyway so this size works just as well for me. Just double-check that the size and key style are what you want before you make your purchase.

QUALITY: It’s sturdy. Battery life is good. I don’t doubt this will last me a long time. Also, there are two levels on the kickstands to adjust the height, in case you want it more angled or more flat on your desk.

All the little features are amazing, from the volume controls to the RGB lighting. Customizable RGB was something I really wanted (because what’s the point of a keyboard if I can’t light it up to be pretty) and this thing does it all.

Sync it to your audio or program each individual key, whatever your little heart desires. I had no problem using the G HUB software to customize the RGB display. A final note is that I did buy the Geek Squard protection – just something else to consider.

I personally figured if I was going to splurge on this I might as well protect it instead of having to replace it if the unimaginable happens. The keys and quality are exactly what I was looking for (and my brother is very, very jealous).

You deserve a nice keyboard so just treat yo self!.

I went on a splurge and bought a whole bunch of TKL mechanical keyboards and this one is definitely my favorite as an all-arounder. It’s not the best gaming board but it does well very well overall. Pros: – It’s a low-profile mechanical keyboard which I under-appreciated at first.

The fact that it’s low-profile decreases wrist tension and it being a mechanical keyboard gives a good typing feel. (More on that later) – Has great multimedia controls and volume wheel. – Has an ok response time during gaming sessions – Can be wired or wireless (BUT checkout the cons section if you are thinking of pairing this with a G502 lightspeed) Cons: – Out of the box the red switches felt very mushy.

After breaking it in, it feels a lot better, but keys still feel mushy compared to a mechanical keyboard – Switches are soldered, so you can’t switch out the switches. – Keycaps are a bit proprietary so after market caps are hard to find.

these are ABS keycaps and would love to have some PBT – There are some symbols on the keycaps that get no lighting!!! For example all the symbols you’d normally access with Shift (i. e. [email protected]#$%, etc) or :,”,{,}, etc) get lit so night typing sometimes that gets annoying.

– I got this with a G502 lightspeeed thinking that I could utilize one lightspeed adapter with both devices. You cannot. You have to have both lightspeed adapters plugged in which is just dumb. I debated a long time about which switch I should get.

They all have the same actuation force. Since I game with this keyboard I am glad I got the red switches but if you are doing more typing than gaming I would recommend getting browns (tactile) or blues (clicky).

The Corsair K70 RGB Pro is my first Corsair product with RGB lighting – but not my first Corsair product! In fact, Corsair can blame themselves for it taking so long for me to try out their RGB – my PSU and CPU cooler have proven to be exceptionally well made and I haven’t needed to replace them! Anyway, as a result I haven’t used iCue before so I have now installed RGB lighting software from seemingly every major brand on my PC at some point.

Physically, the K70 RGB Pro is a solid feeling keyboard with a brushed aluminum deck, PBT double-shot keys, and a pretty neat little volume roller on the upper right side (and actual media control keys below the volume roller).

Build quality is very favorable vs some other major keyboard brands I have used over the last few years – in particular the PBT keys are a big upgrade from keyboards I’ve used that are priced much higher than this Corsair.

Maybe Corsair is taking a look at the aftermarket and hobbyist keyboards because this is something so many people do to customize keyboards which come with ABS keys. My K70 RGB Pro has the MX Speed Silvers which are very clearly a “gaming” keyswitch – a reasonable amount of activation force but very minimal activation travel.

I found this to be a very good balance even for regular productivity use – while it’s not as pleasant to type on as a clicky “Blue” key, the Speed Silvers in the K70 RGB Pro are better than I expected for regular typing.

For gaming, they are incredible! The low travel shaves time off each keypress allowing you to react very quickly in-game. Coupled with the insane polling rate (up to 8000 hz) you are getting the fastest reaction time possible out of a keyboard.

I was concerned that the 8000 hz USB polling rate would be a CPU burden, but on a gaming PC with 5800H CPU the iCue software is using less CPU than a major competitor’s software is for their RGB mouse mat.

The RGB lighting of the K70 RGB Pro is absolutely insane and incredibly customizable. The built in effects are super cool (I suggest turning off the initial “scenes” and taking a look at the lighting tab to see some more effects) – the effects on offer are easily the best I’ve seen from any of the major gaming brands.

For customization, you can create layers of different keys (like WASD or the numpad) which will have different lighting effects. My initial theme is using the “water color” effect as the bottom layer and the typing effect on top – when sitting there doing nothing, the water color effect plays.

I might use the numpad for my audio visualizer, but I’m not sure yet – there are so many choices! Corsair certainly isn’t alone in this kind of customizability, but I found iCue to be especially easy to use, and the keyboard itself must have some reasonable processing power under the hood because the per-key lighting animations seem to have a higher framerate than other keyboards I’ve used.

It should really say something that when trying to record a video for this review, I was genuinely concerned that I needed to use 60 FPS recording to capture the effects properly – it really is impressive! Overall, definitely incredibly happy with this keyboard.

If you have been interested in jumping onto the 60% keyboard bandwagon, then this is one you should have on your radar. The K70 Pro is the only wireless mini keyboard that Corsair offers, so if you are already a fan of Corsair’s line of keyboards and want to go mini you just need to stop now and buy.

My model came with MX Silver Speed switches, but the beauty of this deck is that you can customize not only the keycaps, but also the switches to your heart’s content. You can buy keycaps and switches from Corsair’s website or use any keycap that will fit or any Cherry MX switch.

Even if you don’t want to customize it with additional purchases, at the very least try out the spacebar that’s included in the box, it allows you to see 3 zones of RGB! You can also customize the “accent bar” which is a removable piece at the front of the keyboard (where the power switch and usb-c port are located).

As of right now the only option available on Corsair’s website for the accent bar is in white but you could paint it. The iCue software (available for macOS or Windows) lets you customize the keyboard’s RGB lighting or remap keys.

I usually do not spend much time with the RGB lighting options because every gaming peripheral has it these days but this keyboard can do some pretty cool tricks and the 360 degree light bar with it’s 28 LED zones makes for some pretty awesome effects.

A cool trick is that you can set up the lighting effects and key assignments in the hardware so that the keyboard will still work the way you want even if iCue is not installed. You can store as many profiles as the 8MB of onboard storage will allow.

If you can’t install iCue for whatever reason there are keyboard shortcuts via the FN key to change the lighting effects. There’s actually a lot you can do with this keyboard without iCue. Most of it is achieved with the FN key on the right hand side which allows you to do the things such as moving the mouse cursor (this works surprisingly well!), changing volume, hardware profile, wireless connection, F1-F12 keys, etc.

One of the most important FN key operations is the arrow keys, which are missing dedicated keys but can be used with a combination of FN and I, J, K, L. Unfortunately, I wish Corsair had used H for Left arrow instead of I so the keys would be the same as using the Unix vi command line editor which is muscle memory for me but.

oh wait, I can simply remap the keys to my liking, problem solved! The downsides are minimal, if any. First, the keyboard itself is thick. From the thickest part of the keyboard deck to the desk is 7/8 of an inch thick and the entire thickness from top of keycaps to desk is an inch and a half.

It’s not any thicker than other mini keyboards out there but I’m not sure why it has to be this thick. What is hiding in all that space? It makes it uncomfortable to use for hours of productivity without a wrist pad (which it does not include and would negate the reason for getting such a small keyboard in the first place).

It also makes it a tad bit more difficult to travel with but still much easier than a full size or even TKL deck. I would just like to see it 20-30% thinner next time. The only other thing is with only 61 keys you will be using the FN key often to access the arrow keys or insert / delete key and until you have them memorized you won’t be able to see these functions printed on the keys at night.

Only the primary key function is illuminated with RGB. On the flip side, it would look very busy if they were lit up and if you end up changing the mapping as I have it wouldn’t make sense anyway. After a few days of use, I discovered that if you have iCue installed there is a handy guide in the tray that will describe the default FN key mapping (but not remappings) Pros: Corsair 2.

25. 155 or later – Not all may know you can pair multiple Corsair products to one receiver. Which is awesome so you only need to worry about one if you travel like me. I have my Dark Core RGB, Virtuoso XT, and now this K70 paired to the same receiver.

Overall, as far as 60% boards go, this is likely the best. I use it when traveling as I am always on the go and never leave without my gaming laptop. I wish it was a bit thinner, but not a deal breaker.

While it’s great for gaming, I find it less appealing for programming or design work where I am already using key combo shortcuts and with 40 keys missing it’s more cumbersome then I’d like but just need more time.

If you are a traveling gamer, have little deskspace, or simply just want your hands closer together when using a mouse this is the keyboard for you.

I purchased this keyboard to use for PC gaming from the couch. My PC is about 8 feet away and is located behind the TV. The wireless technology used for this keyboard seems to require a direct line of sight to the dongle.

This required a separate extension cable to place the dongle in an area that could accomplish this. Interestingly, I also was using a Razer Orochi v2 wireless mouse which has had zero issues with the connection dropping during normal use.

Even with a USB extension cable and direct LoS established, when someone would walk between the dongle and the keyboard, the connection would drop. If the top of the keyboard was not pointed directly at the dongle, the connection would drop.

This was not a good solution for this use case. Conversely, I purchased a Logitech wireless mechanical keyboard the next day, which I am now using to type this review. Dongle is behind the TV. Zero issues.

The keyboard itself had adequate build quality. Not really anything to write home about. Layout was good for my tastes and the location of the Fn key was convenient. With backlight settings at 5% and a static color, I used this keyboard for roughly 10 hours after a full charge and was left with 91% battery.

The PBT keycaps don’t allow as much shinethrough as ABS caps, which is a problem when you want to set the backlight level low to conserve battery–you don’t get very much light except when the room is pretty dark.

I was really excited when I got this keyboard. The ergonomic layout and connectivity features are spot on! The design, form and function are top notch! I have this keyboard configured to work on 2. 4 Ghz wireless with the included USB wireless dongle.

The keyboard has the yellow switches which are more on the quiet end when pressed. The keyboard case is aluminum and is designed to last a long time provided you don’t run over it with your car or an elephant steps on it? Ha-Ha.

Now comes the sad part. After using daily for two weeks all was well until I had to submit an important document and finish late at night. All of the sudden after being fully charged, the keyboard stopped working properly.

After pressing keys, the characters would not appear on my display or it would show multiple characters from just one key-press. I tried pressing the windows key and it would randomly show the Win menu.

I also noticed that the RGB color display on the keyboard was displaying erratically and would stop illuminating after 3 seconds from a single or multiple key-press. I confirmed that the unit had been fully charged and even tried via direct USB connection and with Bluetooth.

All provided same failed results. I deleted and re-installed the Razer app hoping for a successful resolution. Unfortunately this didn’t solve the issue. In conclusion, I hoped this keyboard would serve a useful purpose for a long time.

Unfortunately it has proven to be unreliable and a disappointment. Fortunately I had a spare wired keyboard to finish my document on time. I guess I will have to look at the Logitech line and other 65% ten-keyless keyboards.

Really sad. this keyboard has a great design and all the features one would expect. I also did some research and found the same array of problems occurred with other users that purchased this keyboard.

IMHO I suggest that Razer take a hard look at this model and re-assess the failures and hopefully come up with a better/reliable solution. Maybe I’ll give it another try some day!.

This is a really nice and quality built keyboard, perhaps the best I have ever used. The orange switches are really tactile and quiet, but you still do hear the noise of the key bottoming out and de-pressing.

There is no audible click like you get with the green switches, which I prefer the quieter switches. This is a really comfortable keyboard to type on – really good for typing and gaming. I don’t use the media keys, so I cannot comment on their durability, but I have read that there are issues with them, mostly the volume wheel.

The Razer Synapse software works great on my PC and it was easy to configure the color settings. You do NOT have to login to use the software. You can use it as a guest. The only complaints I have about this keyboard are that the secondary keys do not light up (the ones you press shift to use) and that your color profile doesn’t load without the Synapse software.

So, upon startup of your computer, the color scheme defaults to color fade until the software loads. Not a big deal, really. One last thing, I received a brand new and sealed keyboard in its original box.

I did make sure to buy directly from Walmart though. Overall, I’m really happy with this keyboard and I highly recommend it!.

I like these switches as they have a nice tactile bump that requires decent force. I have greatly improved my typing accuracy and, therefore, can type faster. I will say that there is noticeable spring ping stock that gets annoying fast.

That being said, if you take the time to lube each switch, it can make a huge difference. These are much smoother while retaining that tactile bump. Additionally, there is no more spring ping and, instead, a nice clack.

These switches I would describe more on the clacky side rather than thocky. Overall these are great switches for typing if you are willing to put in the effort.

I bought these switches to go with my OLKB Preonic (on which I am typing right now!) and they feel great. This is my first mech keyboard, and I was surprised to find that the keyboard is actually a bit quieter than my old membrane keyboard (not significantly, but still!).

I purchased the Halo Clears (the 70 pack since the Preonic has 60 keys) This was my first foray into the mech key world, and so I don’t have a lot of context to offer, but I chose the clears over the trues because of the slightly higher tactile peak force (though the trues have a more significantly higher actuation and bottom out force), and also I thought that they would work better for the LEDs I am wanting to install.

In fact, it’s the LED issue which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars; the Halos don’t have a slot for LED diodes like normal Cherry MX switches, but they do have a lens on the bottom to let light shine through from any LEDs that are mounted under the switch itself.

As a newb to LEDs, I didn’t realize that is what was meant in the product description by SMD RGB with lens. That’s my fault, and not why I’m giving the 4 stars. The 4 stars is because throughout the product description they compare it to Cherry MX style switches and that they are compatible (which is true) but a pretty standard feature on all Cherry switches are the LED slots, and so I was disappointed that I’m going to have to come up with a different LED solution (or buy different switches) for the Preonic.

Let’s get this out of the way, the Corsair K70 RGB TKL with Corsair Opx linear switches have the best key cap quality feel, travel, actuation and consistency of any keyboard I have ever used. I have had access to a lot of gaming keyboards over the years both purchased and provided for review and this keyboard has exceeded all of them.

Only a few months ago I purchased a TKL wireless with Linear switches and this K70 with OPX and PBT double shot keycaps far surpasses it. Let’s cover the major highlights while also giving commentary on their more expensive competitor option: + The switches and keys are elevated from the keyboard body, which makes it much easier to clean with pressured air or a brush to clean the keyboard.

Cheaper keyboards have a well that will accumulate gunk in that depresses area. + These OPX linear switches are amazing, fast, no resistance and CONSISTENT across all keys. The expensive competitor version uses some scissor springs in the big keys like shift, enter, tab, space bar that make the key press on those buttons on inconsistent.

Even more frustrating was the feel was different among keyboards on the same SKU. I finally settled on a keyboard that didn’t feel as sticky on the SHIFT key. This K70 TKL had none of these issues, every key feels the same and the key travel is also deeper.

+ The RGB was brighter since this was wired and it uses USB-C. Competitor still uses micro-USB which is a joke. Corsair moved all their peripherals to USB-A to USB-C years ago which makes connecting and charging their devices much cleaner and easier.

Also, Corsair iCUE has improved greatly and I already use it for my case fans and AIO cooler. Also since these are linear optical switches, you can adjust actuation point via software. + These switches are not as loud as springy blue type switches or even tactile/tooth clicky switches, but if you are a fast and avid typer they do make quite a bit more noise than their competitors with shorter keystrokes, as you bottom out the key it makes a decent amount of noise.

In summary this is easily the best feeling keycap and switch I have ever used on a keyboard. The only negatives compared to what I am using from their major competitor is a wireless functionality and also BT connectivity which is the main reason I use it, for my work laptop when I work at home.

If Corsair can step it up on the next K70 wireless they really got a winning product. Side note, the only difference I saw with previous K70 TKL was the switches, they changed from Cherry MX to Corsair OPX, but this version does not have key cap removers or extra key caps.

It only comes with the braided USB-C cable.

Corsair’s K70 RGB TKL Champion Series mechanical keyboard offers excellent build quality in a form factor meant to reduce the amount of space it takes up on your desk. The TKL stands for tenkeyless, meaning the usual number pad on the right side of a standard keyboard is not there.

This results in more space for mouse movement. Anyone that plays games such as first person shooters will immediately understand the benefit here. Having plenty of space for mouse movement is crucial, and the K70 does a good job in increasing the amount of desk space available.

Despite its small footprint, the K70 still maintains reasonable functionality outside of gaming thanks to the additional dedicated keys and full media controls. The Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series offers 50 onboard profiles, and a profile lock button to disable macros, etc.

Overall, I find the K70 to be a premium and well-built keyboard with no obvious quality control issues. The K70 comes with MX Cherry Red Speed switches. I’m not sure what I think of them as while the travel seems somewhat long, actuation is very short.

A keypress registers at the top of its travel, making for very quick and light actuation. The performance is more than acceptable, but the “feel” may be loved by some and not so much by others. One caveat is that the switches are not hot-swappable, but that’s not unreasonable by any means at the K70’s pricepoint.

Doubleshot PBT keycaps are used and they feel very solid and thicker than most keycaps, and offer more resistance to wearing out. The K70 features up to an 8000Hz polling rate — how many times the computer checks for key inputs.

Most keyboards offer 1000Hz, but the actual benefits of these features is arguable. In order to set it greater than 1000Hz, you’ll need to install Corsair’s iCue software, which will also give you additional RGB customization features.

Keep in mind this will also use more CPU resources to attain higher polling rates, not to mention the overhead the software will add. RGB does not require the iCue software; the K70 This has full RGB backlighting with individually lit keys.

You can change the built-in lighting effects by pressing Fn and cycling through the numbers row. In conclusion, I found that the Corsair K70 RGB TKL is a very good gaming keyboard. The Cherry MX Speed switches are very light and responsive.

Its latency is also very low for a responsive gaming experience. All keys are macro-programmable, it has full RGB lighting, and it’s very well-made.

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion series is Corsair’s latest iteration of this keyboard. Being labeled as TKL or tenkeyless, this keyboard dispenses with the numeric keypad found in most full sized keyboards.

Think laptop style keyboard. This of course has the advantage of being smaller and more portable. And being RGB means having custom colors for this keyboard which gamers like. This keyboard which is roughly 70% the size of a regular keyboard is made of metal (aluminum) and plastic making is a durable keyboard.

It also boasts of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) keycaps which is reportedly better than ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) keycaps. While the company boasts that it can handle millions of keystrokes, there is no way for me to verify that claim.

But it is generally accepted by the gaming industry that PBT keycaps are much more durable than ABS keycaps. So I’ll just take the company’s for it. As mentioned in earlier, it is an RGB lit keyboard.

There are controls on top of the keyboard to toggle the lights. Likewise there is software available to download should you want further customization. And you are not limited to the lights but also you are able to program macros for this keyboard if you use this software.

One thing I like about his keyboard is that it doesn’t automatically download the software unlike competing brands. Do note this keyboard comes in various Cherry MX configurations namely Cherry MX Speed, MX Red, MX Blue and MX Silent.

And there is nothing on the box that indicates which keyboard type you have. You have to remove a keycap and check the exposed keyswitch. My unit “seems” to be the Cherry Silent MX meaning this is suited for gaming and timing.

And while I am no expert on keyboards, the unit I have is more quite than my son’s other branded keyboard but still louder compared to laptop keyboards. Also notice on top of the keyboard are multimedia controls and even a scroll bar for volume.

These controls can also be configured via software. Again I am a casual user/gamer so I prefer not to. But to emphasize the other strengths of this keyboard, there is a toggle switch to disable macros and even the lights.

This is beneficial for serious gamers who go on competing so as to level the playing field. Overall this is a very capable keyboard and IMO worth its price. I would definitely recommend this if you are in the market for a gaming keyboard.

Ive been primarily using the K65 RGB Mini for several weeks now. And while I wont say it can replace my full size K95 keyboard, it does have some big benefits and is enjoyable to use. That said, I think these 60% sized keyboards have a niche, which caters to minimalists and maybe people that travel.

Its pint size makes it easy to throw in a bag and go, and the detachable USB-C cable makes it convenient to disconnect from your desk and just carry a spare cable in your travel bag. But, outside of those scenarios, I would not recommend the K65, or any 60% keyboard, to anyone else.

It simply sacrifices too much function for form. So, if you are in the market for a 60% keyboard, I dont think you need to look any further. You will not find another keyboard with better build quality or more baked-in features than what Corsair is offering with the K65 RGB Mini.

I am Full-time Engineering college student who likes to play games on my free time or days off. I mostly use my computer for everything such as writing essays/reports, complex math homework all the way to playing Ranked on Apex Legends.

I had the issue of wanting a fast keyboard for gaming but then having a good in between for typing. I originally bought the Razer Huntsman TE as it was $70 on sale. I used tactile switches before but started to outgrow that style of switches.

Once I tried the linear on the Huntsman TE, I fell in love with linear. The issue was with that keyboard, it sucked for typing, I wrote a whole essay with that keyboard, and it was like driving a sport bike on a road full of ice.

I looked at BestBuy’s Website and saw this one but $150 on sale had me on edge as that was a lot of money for a keyboard. After multiple reviews and YouTube Videos I decided to pull the trigger and buy it.

I do not have any buyer’s remorse after doing so. The ability to set the Actuation to anything between 0. 4 to 3. 6 is incredible. You can do it from the mini-OLED screen on the board, so no software is required.

Now I can go all the way to the lowest level and play games and be super-fast with movements (Even faster than the Huntsman line of keyboard from Razer) or increase the Actuation distance for when I’m typing so I don’t have any mistypes.

The included Wrist Rest is okay but not razer quality. The Cable is not braided which Razer spoiled me where everything they sell with a cable is braided. The size of this board is however very reasonable and not huge.

My wrist does not get uncomfortable typing on this. The above-board key design or style helps with easier cleaning. Hopefully my scenario and experience help most of you make a choice. I am basing my value score on the price that I paid.

I feel like I hit the Jackpot with this keyboard. Its so hard to find white components for PC’s that are high Quality. The Razer Huntsman Mini carries the brand’s standout optical mechanical switch keyboard.

With each key’s light feel accompanied by premium double shot PBT keycaps, it can be great for both gaming and typing. I will have to advise against installing the Razer software. You can simply activate gaming mode by pressing function key +U.

The Razer software has A few bugs that need to be straitened out before I will attempt to re-install. A lot of people compare this to the Ducky 2 MINI, Since I snagged this from Best Buy for half the price of the Ducky 2 mini and this being an all white keyboard vs the blue enter Key on the ducky II I figured this decision was A no-Brainer.

Even if the ducky II mini did not have the blue key I would of went with Razer regardless. Using Razer mechanical keyboards at work and at home with clicky optical keys keys is perfect with me. I feel that Razer keyboards have build quality that are built to last If you feel the need for that.

15 MS faster response time to compensate for your slow reaction time when playing Apex or War Zone then by all means get the linear switch version. I find this keyboard to be more then enough for my needs.

Even after 2 weeks I am able to navigate fine when writing code without having the standard arrow key’s.

The keys are responsive and click, and the keyboard looks amazing. What’s not amazing, though, is the sound it makes. I know its mechanical, so I expected some clackiness (and even enjoy clackiness to an extent), but this is really too much.

Not only is there a loud, hollow plastic-on-plastic sound that the case seems to amplify and echo, there’s also a mechanical springy “pang” sound that accompanies each press. It’s truly awful; if you’re at all sensitive to sounds, then this keyboard is likely unusable without headphones.

Also, one of the keys snapped off. No idea how this even happened; I picked it up to move it and the “1” key just sorta fell off. This wasn’t a matter of the key cap coming off; the purple switch itself somehow snapped in half, leaving remnants in the key cap.

I was able to super glue it back on, but even so, I’m worried about the longterm viability of this thing. For $50-ish, it’s fine, I guess. The keys really do feel quite nice. For normal retail price, though, it’s an absolute swindle.
