Ordered late Monday evening arrived perfectly wrapped the following day! Feels very light yet very sturdy and holds my brand new ipad securely. Connected to my Bluetooth with ease and powers down the iPad when closed.

The case does not add any real noticeable weight to the iPad. Ive had it less than a day however – Excellent early impressions!.

Also makes a wonderful stand for the ipad when Skypeing. Also a good product especially for fat fingered people who find the iPad mini virtual keyboard difficult.

Don’t normally write reviews but I my iPad was the best thing I bought and now this keyboard is the second best. It’s so light and easy to carry and the colour matches the back of the iPad so it looks literally like a mini MacBook.

However, they should make a tiny portable mouse to come with it or as an extra which would be good. Other than that deffo recommend 100%.

This is my first Ipad since I am an android person. I am so glad I got this Keyboard case, it turn my Ipad pretty much into a laptop. It is really good quality. The keyboard and case are both great. It feels like your fingers are flying on the keyboard.

I wanted a case that could act like a real laptop shell, not floppy like most tablet/keyboard cases. Not only does this one fit a variety of tablets, the hinge stays in its various positions just like a real laptop.

I also like the feel of the keys. It’s a small keyboard but easy to type on.

while I had to add some Velcro. my HD 10 is an odd shape. The keyboard works great and hooks right up. It makes the device infinitely more usable and seems to be quite well made. I’m very satisfied with the purchase.

I purchased this for my iPad Mini 5 and after a month’s use, I am very pleased by its looks and performance. This marks a 1+ year search for a decent keyboard case for my Mini which is not commonly found.

The build quality is terrific, looks beautiful and rugged at the same time – so no complaints with the weight of the case since it is necessary for it to be usable. The hinges appear strong enough and they tilt nicely without any fuss.

The balance is pretty good too. I am super pleased with the matching color – I purchased space gray to match my iPad. Typing is a joy and offers good feedback/experience. The battery back up is pretty good too.

I use it for ~2 hours everyday (iMessage, Facetime, Quick emails, Video calls, basic surfing etc) and the charge seemed to have lasted me little over a month. Minor crib – it has Micro-USB to charge the keyboard case – not lightening or Type-C (a nice to have but not a deal breaker though).

Looks wise – it complements the ipad dimensionally very well, I got used to the small size of the keyboard and now loving it. I love the backlit funtionality apart from the quick keys on the top row.

Bluetooth connection mostly held up very well for me – no complaints there. Overall, I didn’t really expect this one to become my daily driver and I have reduced using my Surface Go drastically. I am very impressed with the product and delighted with the purchase since I was apprehensive initially.

I have tried two other keyboards with my iPad mini 2, another Logitech design and the small Apple Keyboard. Both worked well but failed miserably when I was on the move. This keyboard has given my iPad mini a new lease of life.

I take it on all my trips as it connects together so easily and protects the glass at the same time. To use I just separate the the iPad from the keyboard which is held together magnetically and place the ipad in the viewing slot, either horizontally or vertically.

I can now work in a small footprint with a full qwerty keyboard which I became adept at using withing a few hours. The sync time to the ipad is immediate and if you turn the keyboard off the ipad recognises this and displays the digital keyboard.

The viewing slot has a very firm rotation which allows the iPad to be tilted for comfort. So far I have used it on a train from London to Leeds, a flight to Budapest, in Costa Coffee, the park, camping and while presenting a photography course.

I get the most use out having it as a desktop device that enables me to read ebook manauals on programming and system design with while using another computer. The keyboard is a very welcome add-on to the iPad that not just enables the iPad to be more user friendly and functional but compliments its light weight and slim design.

This is the second time I purchased this product, and in the same color. I purchsed a second one, because I gave it away. The quality of the keyboard is clean and smooth. keypads are very responsive.

No false types. The battery in my experience has lasted for well over 6. 5 hours. I have not used it continuously for more than that at one time. Standby has lated a whole week and a half for me. The case keeps the ipad nice and protected from edges and front.

They entire case with ipad is not bulky in any way. Keep in mind that part of the reason the case is very thin in my opinion, is due to the fact that the ipad can not be rotated to a protrait view. If you don’t need portrait view, this is the ipad mini case for you! By the way, this red color does not fade.

This keyboard is a beautiful colour and has a Mars Red fabric texture. I can’t buy the keyboard with these superior characteristics in Australia, but they are available on eBay in Britain for a very nice price with very reasonable shipping costs.

The keyboard, once set to “Italian” in “Hardware Keyboard” in iPad settings is just like any keyboard but with a few extra keys. The Ultrathin Keyboard holds the iPad mini at a good angle and allows the iPad to be used as a mini laptop.

It is just perfect! Whenever you are not using the iPad it just instantly folds away in this distinctive Mars Red case and is switched off automatically. I recommend it as a “must have” to anyone who owns an iPad mini.

I have bought two of these keyboards, one for my old iPad mini and one for my newer iPad mini 4. Love the design and functionality BUT on both of them both of the plastics tabs that hold the upper part of the screen broke within a fairly short time.

That meant that the device was no longer secure in the folio. I bought my second one thinking that it must have been either a faulty bit of plastic or that if it was a design flaw that it would have been fixed.

The first bit to break on both was the tab over the on/off button. At first it was still secure but then a larger chunk broke off that corner meaning it was no longer secure and the device could come out of the folio.

Then the clip on the other top corner also broke, both times after falling 18†from a couch to a carpeted floor. The devices now can’t stay in place while the folio is open and can fall out if when closed if you aren’t careful.

I am very disappointed in the product which is expensive and is otherwise brilliant.

I received this on 6/13/2019. It is definitely small. Keyboard is much smaller than I thought it would be. Fingers are cramped trying to type. There is no instruction booklet with it. I am learning slowly how to operate some of these function keys.

There is no way to refresh the page you are on unless you sign out and sign back on but I think this is the iPad Mini problem and not the keyboard. It is an attractive little keyboard but looks don’t make up for the very cramped keys.

I had a Zagg iPad mini keyboard that worked much better but I lost the charging cord. I could not find another cord that fit, that is why I bought this new keyboard.

The pop up magnetic strip that connects the keyboard to the iPad didn’t always pop up to hold them together. When it was attached it was not strong enough to hold the weight of the iPad and was constantly slipping off.

Then a few days after I got it the entire strip popped off and could not be put back. It appears to have some tiny pins that hold it on and they snapped off and the plastic on the strip cracked. The keyboard itself works well and sits at a nice angle for typing.

But the design makes you separate the keyboard from the iPad to use it in this position. It could not handle the back and forth from closed to operating position. Its a shame because it is a good looking and feeling keyboard.

It is slim and lightweight. But I hand to put a plain magnetic cover on my iPad and keep they keyboard by its side.

I love this little keyboard. It is very light in weight and easy to use while being stylish and sleek at the same time. It instantly transforms my ipad mini into a laptop computer. I love the idea of the keyboard enclosed in the folio, so no need to go and get a separate case.

My ipad mini fits perfectly into the corner of the folio and does not slide out. The magnets provided grip the ipad securely when closed so it does not fall out. Also the sleep/wakeup feature is very handy.

I thought I would have trouble with the key size since the keyboard is for ipad mini, but I got adjusted to it in a couple of minutes itself. From the other reviews it looks like the keyboard will hold charge for months, but the only negative I see is there is no indicator on the keyboard to see how much charge it has.

Entering text on a mini iPad is a pain, and since this had both a cover and a keyboard, and the price was decent, it was worth trying. For a combo cover and keyboard, it is nearly perfect, with only a couple of minor glitches.

iPad controls and camera are accessible and usable, but volume controls are not easily reached, and the upper right hand power switch is a plastic button that isn’t confidence inspiring. (-0. 5 star).

I have always loved the size and functionality of this case. That explains why I have bought probably 4-5 over the past few years. They are inexpensive, so if they lasted a year or so, no big deal. But my most recent one is a complete failure.

Without exception, the hinge fails on these cases, but my latest one lasted barely 2 months before getting all wonky. Its the last straw. Zagg. you should be ashamed. I was traveling when I ordered my last one and neglected to register it.

I was unable to locate a phone number to speak with an actual person at Zagg, and the website is not user friendly. Never again. Ill try something different this time. Potential buyers: you have been warned.

This is the 3rd ZAGG Folio iPad case Ive owned over the past several years. The keyboard is nice to have for typing messages (especially if you tend to fat-finger, like me, lol), or just searching for something online.

The battery life of the keyboard is great and lasts quite a while; hardly has to be charged (Id say one charge will usually last me a few months). The only downfall with this case is that, depending on how often you use it, all the opening/closing will eventually wear out the spine and it will start to come apart in the middle, where it folds.

So, I usually just try to be careful when opening and closing it. Then, when its time for another one, I come back and buy another one (hence, why Im on my 3rd one, haha).

This item at first glimpse, had great potential but ultimately it failed miserably. Ive owned other ZAGG products, Bluetooth keyboard cases. They all looked like winners but simply didnt last long at all.

The hinges were/are always the weak link. Always. My first one lasted only 3-4 months. The most recent one, the subject of this review, lasted 4 weeks before breaking off. I hated that it didnt last because the keyboard is exceptional! I have no complaints about how it pairs up and functions.

ZAGG has a daunting task ahead of them, $90 – $100 keyboard should not break. I can suggest many ways to strengthen and solidify the hing issues but not with plastic. The current design is doomed by its nature.

There are better ways – and I would pay the price!.

I thought I’d exhaustively done my homework and shelled out $140 for the Brydge keyboard for my ipad mini4. I’ve had it for almost two months and use it about 6 hours a day. Here is my objective review:- Pro’s – awesome build quality, sturdy, well made, great gold color match, terrific responsive keys, three level backlighting, decent battery life.

Con’s – power socket is on opposite side of an inserted ipad so you have left and right “wires” of the combined device when charging both (cosmetic ugly niggling issue) yes you could reverse the ipad but then the volume buttons would be docked underneath and fundamentally inaccessible.

My biggest gripe is that when the ipad is fully and properly inserted into the holding slot/arms, the bottom edge of the screen, albeit visible is BELOW the edge of the keyboard. impossible to swipe up from here even with a stylus.

More importantly, imessage, Whatsapp type programs have their input bar/location at the very edge of the screen which makes it impossible to tap to begin or reply to a message. So, any app that maximizes screen usage and has an input bar at the bottom will be problematic.

Take a close look at the photos and you will see what I’m talking about. One of the major advantages of recent ios releases is the alt-tab type of fast app switching. the tab key on the small keyboard requires an additional awkward key depression to get fast switching to work.

Understanding that “real estate” is limited on the small keyboard, the tab key should have been standalone like other similar sized keyboards. Wish it had a battery indicator, no way of knowing what the remaining charge level is until the last 5 minutes, the right shift starts blinking to let you know you’re about 99% out.

My BT headset is capable of showing the charge level on screen next to the BT icon, so why cant this? Frequently (multiple times a day) it loses pairing, forgets and needs re-pairing. Might be a faulty device.

Brydge Support told me that BT devices often do (should i expect that as normal?!!) and to send them proof of purchase. No doubt I’m still within warranty and they’ll do the right thing but that will only address one of the Con’s.

This is one of the best keyboard Bluetooth cases you can buy for an iPad mini. The case fits perfectly and Is made of a hard durable plastic/resin case that doesn’t collapse on your lap. A great feature is the auto on and off switch.

When you open it turns on when you close it turns off. My wife has had one for years and it still looked like new despite the many times she accidentally dropped it. She used it daily for hours and hours.

You must charge it when it arrives. I just bought two new ones and they were both completely discharged. Once charged, the charge seems to last for months and months. The battery is amazing and charges quickly.

I have owned others. This is as good as it gets. Simply the best and easy to set up, connects perfect every time.

As highly anticipating the use of this product, as my old case had broken plastic nd no longer held my older mini. about 4 years old. Sadly, the newer Logi Tech is a couple of mms bigger than my previous one.

Thus, the he IPad does NOT fit. Best Buy was excellent in helping me and we decided the newer IPads are a bit bigger. Although, this keyboard as a gift, I had to return I, unused of course, and likely will be unable to find a replacement.

And I certainly do not wish to or need to purchase a new IPad mini. But thanks for asking. Purchased in Ottawa. as a gift. at Best Buy. ordered. and delivered to my home in Windsor. returned to Best Buy in Windsor If you have a viable solution, please advise me.

I have the equivalent for the iPad air2 and that is fantastic. This is obviously more compact so there will be compromises. The keyboard is really only suitable for fast typing for small people! The function keys are not dedicated so you need to use the fn key which I dont have to do on my iPad Air2 The connection isnt always perfect and the led light doesnt always go on and never stays on so its hard to know if its connected, sometimes I resit it to reset it! Having said that considering the size of the screen its a very useful thing to have as the onscreen keyboard takes up half the space.

It sits at a good angle and holds the iPad very well with a very strong magnet – you can move it confident in its attachment. Im happy with my purchase however the RRP is somewhat excessive.

Keyboard 5/5. Case 3. 5/5. Leather sleeve 4/5 Plusses: quick delivery, great quality, response in the keys, comfortable angles for use, illuminated keys. Minuses: obscures functions at the bottom of the screen in some apps, slightly small for big hands but still very useable, some sharp and rough edges on the Perspex cover.

As most applications including Office applications are available for iPad and work very well I’ve been looking for a way to ditch the need to carry a laptop for study & assignments when studying. After a lot of looking round on the internet I came across the Brydge keyboards.

I had purchased a very cheap BT keyboard to see if it could be of any use at all and like the idea as I have big hands and can touch type. The shipping went very quickly and the packaging and keyboard are of a very high quality.

At first I was a little bit worried that the shims did not fit the iPad but following the instruction to squeeze these to size worked. The solution with the hinges is great to allow the freedom to remove the iPad for use in portrait but means that apps that have functions at the bottom of the screen (imessage, Facebook, etc.

) become difficult to get a response as your finger seems to miss as they are obscured by the keyboard. The cover is not of the same high quality but still very good, I would not be without it. The need for the cut outs in the Perspex plastic for the hinge make for some sharp edges and also round the headphone and charging socket.

On delivery there was some roughness in the edge where you open the iPad and keyboard but only very minor (probably a defect in the tool or removal from the tool). Still recommend to have it. When you are buying the keyboard and cover like me you are probably going to decide in for a penny in for a pound and buy the Leather sleeve.

This fit nicely and will protect both the keyboard and iPad when carrying though it is only a sleeve (no foam or anything to speak like many more expensive sleeves). I miss not having a small pocket on the outside for a pen and small note pad (ironic I realise).

Overall a pricey but classy product, I’m pleased and use it every day. I have big hands and can normally touch type. The unit is a little bit small for touch typing for me but reminds me in feel of Psions 5’s I’ve used in the past (although these were smaller still) for note taking.

I’m still going to try and do an assignment on it before the month is out! The iPad still seems to be in it’s bad ways of double typing after the keyboard has gone to sleep but this seems to be inherent with all iPads (check the web) and the latest update to the iOS (9.

2) seems to have addressed this with the predictive correction (which is a relief).

I was excited to see that Brydge had a keyboard case available for the iPad mini. They keyboard feels sturdy and holds the iPad with no worries. It matches the color of the iPad well and makes for a look like a mini MacBook.

I hit the ‘enter’ key a few times by mistake because they keys are much smaller than a regular sized keyboard, but that it to be expected with the size requirements. All that takes is some more practice with the keyboard.

They keys press down nicely, but I did find that the spacebar is squeaky when pressed. I tried all the other keys and they had no such sound. The squeak changes pitch as the space bar is pressed down from different spots on the key.

It is what made the different between 4 and 5 stars. I also found that because the iPad is held in place behind the body of the keyboard case, the very bottom of the screen is hard to touch with a finger.

This makes for dragging up from the bottom to access the quick access options drawer difficult. Brydge did a good job of including function keys that do most of what the quick access drawer does and that makes getting into the draw much more infrequent when using the keyboard.

A few other apps, like iMessage, have the text input field right down at the bottom of the screen so the same issue applies there too. Overall, I like the Brydge keyboard. It is perfect for the days when you don’t want to cary the laptop, but still need a slick looking way to type.

If not for the squeaky space bar, this product would be 100%.

It is an amazing keyboard for the iPad Mini (mine’s a Mini 4). The design is beautiful, functional and bulletproof. Pairing was simple and it connects instantly when I tap a key. Long battery life. It occasionally won’t function as a smart-cover.

I. e. , sometimes when I open/close it, the iPad turns on/off, sometimes not. I’m thinking this must have to do with me not exactly aligning the iPad in the grips so it closes flush with the keyboard, but I’m not sure.

My only complaint is a personal preference to be sure, but that is this: I NEED a dedicated Tab button. I know on a Mini-sized keyboard that decisions have to be made about what keys to make smaller or omit, but I really, REALLY wish that the Caps/Tab lock defaulted to Tab, then could be made to be a Caps lock by using the FN key, instead of the reverse that it actually is.

I basically have no use for a caps lock button–I use it once in a blue moon. But I do a lot of writing and doing the FN+Caps combination is cumbersome and annoying. If there were a way to switch that Tab/Caps key to always be Tab, via some update/rewrite of firmware or what have you, I would instantly switch the review to a full five stars.

Bottom line, I would buy it again if I needed to, and I will, when money allows, buy one for my iPad Pro too.

Even though this is designed for the iPad Air 2, it works great with the 2017 iPad. I was hoping the new iPad would snap into place properly when the keyboard is used as a cover, and that the new iPad would fit well in the slotand both are just fine.

My concern was the thickness; the 2017 is the same dimensions as the original iPad Air, and the Air 2 is thinner. But, the 2017 iPad and this keyboard work great together. Typing feel on this keyboard is good, layout is good, weight is remarkably light.

I highly recommend this keyboard for the original iPad Air, the Air 2, or the 2017 iPad.

When I opened the box I couldn’t recognize that whether it was brand new or refurbished if I didn’t see the USB charging cable. Metal casing of the USB charging cable seems to be used so I could recognized it is surely refurbished product.

But the box is identically same with brand new. I use this keyboard with my iPhone 5. Connectivity is good enough to use, compatibility has been proved with windows 10 based laptops, battery life is also enough.

Typo and typing speed are no longer serious problem since I have this keyboard. I recommend this keyboard.

So I bought this keyboard without much research before purchasing it. I have to say that I am actually really pleased considering that I have difficult time using the on-screen keyboard. This keyboard can be used as a type of cover.

It has the ability to attach using magnets and the iPad can be placed on it to create an area to place the iPad.

Very nice Zagg quality. I have tried keyboard cases from other places and they don’t have the solid quality, reliability, and good looks of the Zaggs. Great battery life. Great key placement. No little quirks to learn.

This case is solid and seems dependable. It looks good and is not real bulky. What I don’t like about it is that the keys are not as easy to use as the Zagg Slim Book (for the ipad mini 4). They are perfectly usable, but I guess my fingers prefer them to be just that tiny bit easier.

I also accidentally ordered this one without checking to see if the keys were backlit, which they aren’t, so I’m a little disappointed but that’s on me for not ordering the right one.

At less than 1/10 the MSRP it is more than I could ask for. I have gotten 2 of these, the first was taken by a friend because he could not believe how handy it is. Everyone at work thought he got a minicomputer for Christmas.

Both units have a very small dent that does not affect the function at all, did not notice this until looking very very hard. This keyboard makes the iPad a more useful item, if that is possible, and has added a new level of protection as well.

Wish I had gotten this keyboard when I first got the iPad. I could not be more pleased with this purchase.

I had this for about a year. I’m not particularly rough with the keyboard and it generally sits on my desk, where I don’t move it (and I don’t remove the iPad from the keyboard ever). There are some advantages to this keyboard in that it’s backlit and the battery life on it is great (I’ve maybe only had to charge it 3-4x the entire time I’ve had it).

I’ve also never had a Bluetooth problem with it and it always connects well with my iPad. Unfortunately, the cons out weigh the pros significantly as the mechanical design of this keyboard is very poor.

During the year I had it, I had the rubber shims replaced twice and the hinges also broke off on both my original one and the replacement keyboard I was sent. Truthfully, the hinges are extremely fragile and very poorly designed.

Unfortunately, my keyboard is out of warranty (1 year) by two months and I’m left with a keyboard without a hinge. Customer service suggested I purchase a new keyboard, but I spent $170 a little over a year ago-at a minimum the keyboard should last the life of the iPad.

The only option once the hinge is broken is to completely replace the keyboard. I spent 170 on this just about 14 months ago and now it can no longer be used. I’d recommend looking at other keyboards because once this breaks (which I promise you the hinge will at some point break-you’ll be very disappointed).

Unfortunately as exciting as the promises are that this keyboard makes, I’m overall quite unhappy with how it actually performs. It fails it’s basic job as a typing device as even after following several troubleshooting steps I still experienced many keystrokes to be completely dropped especially at higher typing speeds.

Repeated keys would frequently not register (especially noticable when navigating documents via arrow keys) and would drop somewhere around 2% or greater of my input (doesn’t seem like much until you compare it to the Smart Cover Keyboard which has never dropped a keystroke in it’s life or compared to any desktop class keyboard which would almost never do something like this.

I also found that the contacts on the board itself were extremely unreliable and would result in keys feeling like they had been pressed, but would still require extra force to properly actuate. Keys were extremely wobbly and overall it was just a very poor typing experience.

Now for some nitpicks (this isn’t why I returned the product, the inability to type is the primary reason why I’m unhappy): – No cutout on the keyboard kind of makes it difficult to open. – While the color match was surprisingly close (pretty impressive for anodization) the surface finish is not even close to the iPad Pro.

There is visible grains and overall a rougher feel to the Brydge aluminum compared to Apple’s very likely much more expensive processing. This isn’t really that big of a deal and honestly you can’t notice unless you really look for it.

– Some keyboard shortcuts seemed to have trouble registering. Cmd-H being especially notable as this is a shortcut I’m very accustomed to using. It seems like you have to press it twice to register? This isn’t too bad though as there is a dedicated key on the keyboard that does the same thing.

– Using the Siri key doesn’t default to taking in typed responses and instead requires the mic. I’m unsure if this is even possible to change so this is more a complaint about iOS rather than Brydge.

– The rubbery plastic that holds your iPad in place is really exceptionally ugly. Very visible injection molding lines and a very odd cream semi transparent color on my Silver Brydge that really stood out when compared to the rest of the relatively good looking keyboard.

– Latency was awful, this isn’t really a nitpick as it heavily impacts my reasoning for returning the keyboard. Any faster typists will very easily notice this and I promise it will drive you nuts.

I love this case and keyboard for my iPad mini 6. I got this so I could work on projects when traveling. It works great, keeps a decent charge, but it’s good to turn it off when not using keyboard. The rubber edges hold my mini in place well.

A great product at a great price.

Works as advertised. The keyboard is stable, responsive and comfortable. And when you’re done with it, it pulls right off and you have a clean tablet wrapped in a slim but strong case. For not much added bulk you get a whole different and vastly more useful iPad experience.

This case/keyboard combo is barely larger than the Apple ipad minii case, yet it contains a fully functional QWERTY Bluetooth keyboard, The keyboard is separately charged and powered on, so the internal battery is not discharged when using the ipad in purely touch made.

A powerful magnetic strip attaches the ipad in place when you want to use it as a mini laptop with keyboard, yet pulls easily apart to stow. Magnetic closure on the case itself also provide auto power-on and power-off capability like many better non-keyboard cases like the Apple mini case.

The only thing that would make this better would be an illuminated keyboard, which of course would reduce the battery runtime on the keyboard. Ipad power is unaffected by the keyboard, so would remain as you already know it.

The exterior of the case is a hard protective shell with a curved lip which facilitates holding the ipad in tablet mode. The case is covered with a tight, tough fabric finish which is comfortable to hold and seems resistant to grime.

The case also provides a fair amount of protection to average the bumps and bruises of daily use. You should be able to get this on sale, and if so, don’t hesitate!.

I like the Logitech keyboard folio because of the features. You can type with the tablet flat or elevated. It charges quickly and the keyboard has a comfortable keypad. When you close the cover it also shuts the tablet off.

It comes with a mini usb charging wire. You can use the ipad’s camera with the folio on. My one complaint is that the plastic corners keep breaking. The tablet is secured to the folio with magnets on the bottom and plastic corners on the top.

The left corner has a flexible area that you can push to turn the tablet off without having to remove the folio. Over time the plastic corner cracks where the flexible area is, even if you never use that flexible area.

The next thing that happens is the other corner cracks. When this happens the tablet falls out of the folio. This is my third cover. I keep buying them because the features are so good. I have now made an effort to open the folio in the middle and not the corners.

Hopefully this will make the folio last longer.

I got my first one a couple of years ago for a Mini 2, when I thought a keyboard would come in handy, especially while traveling. Turned out I hardly used it, but I like the case and the weight has a good balance.

The last few months, however, the upper edges holding in the screen cracked, and so the Mini was constantly sliding down all the time. Got me a new one and it’s back to the way it should be.

I measured my hand-me-down iPad and figured this would fit (as the header says “iPad 2/3/4”); it does fit, thank God! Have only used it a few weeks, but I knew Kensington was a trusted brand name (for me).

The keyboard is a bit small for my large/thick-fingered hands, but then so is the iPad to which its dimensions conform. For me, it is much preferable to the ‘virtual’ keyboard on the iPad which I still sometimes use, though I do sometimes wish it had a fold-over cover so that when the keyboard is folded back to use the iPad as a tablet alone no pressure would be inadvertently applied on the keys themselves.

However, presumably, Kensington has designed this into the lasting qualities of this keyboard. Would also have liked to see a better means of keeping the keyboard in place in the case. It has slipped out twice so that I am concerned it may slip out only to break in the fall! The tactile feel of the keyboard is Kensington quality as anticipated and fine for my use.

Have not yet written pages & pages of text, but I think it should be quite reasonably done, though the keyboard does take some getting used to having gotten used to using a Microsoft Natural Keyboard for a few decades now! Have not dropped the iPad in the Case from more than the distance of my lap to a carpeted floor on its edge, but it did survive that so it may also actually provide helpful protection for drops unto hard flooring and perhaps from up higher.

The iPad2 is already great to use but this makes it much better. I purchased this for my wife who is a school teacher and needed the ability to type quickly. The onscreen keyboard is nice but when you can type as quickly as my wife can, this comes in handy.

Out of the box I had this up and running in under 5 minutes. The iPad2 slides perfectly into place and does not move. You can position the stand in many different angles of view. The Velcro that holds the stand in place is secure.

The keyboard is held in place with magnets and it is also strongly secured. There is also a Stylus pen holder which is nice if you use one. My wife does use one and it is convenient to have a holder (some other brand cases do not).

The keys are nice and my wife finds no problems using them. All the ports (charge, headphone jack and camera) on the iPad2 are easily accessible. The case does include a USB charging cable for the keyboard but does not include the wall outlet adapter.

They want you to use your iPad2 wall outlet to charge the keyboard. In theory that is good but if you use both all day and need to charge the iPad2 and the keyboard, your out of luck. I have a few wall adapters so I just gave one to my wife and it solves that problem.

The Good Points. -Not as expensive as other brands -When folded for transport, it is not bulky and is relatively light -Has an elastic Stylus Pen holder (where others do not) -Easy to sync Bluetooth keyboard to iPad2 -iPad2 fits into place with all ports easily available -Keys are easy to use -Strong Velcro to hold stand in place -Keyboard battery has lasted my two days before needing a charge The Bad Points.

-As far as I can tell you can only use this case in landscape mode and not portrait. -Does not include a wall adapter to charge the keyboard -Maybe not a bad point but worth mentioning. This is not a good “lap” case.

The Velcro holds the stand securely on a hard flat surface, but not so much on your lap. Other brands do better in that area. Much more good points than bad. If you are looking for a nice relatively inexpensive case, I would recommend this.

If you are looking for a military rugged type case, then this one will not do. This is great for teachers and professionals alike who need a keyboard but don’t have the need for a bulky laptop.

The Kensington Folio is absolutely beautiful and appears to be high quality and well constructed. The Camera Lens as well as all buttons, switches and openings are easily accessible and not obstructed by the case.

Things I would improve on… * One thing I don’t care for about this item is that the power light does not show when you’ve shut it off? * When you stand the iPad up in order for the IPad to “Attach” and have a little tilt to it then the keyboard has to be out of the folio.

* You cannot stand the IPad up Vertically only Horizontally as the slot for the IPad is fixed in one position. * Keyboard is not as secure in holder as I would feel confortable with. The keyboard is held by magnets so if bumped it can fall out when folded over to use just the IPad.

* Folio does not fasten shut IPad Problems with Keyboard * I’m sure it’s the IPad that doesn’t allow you to utilize the keyboard fully and not the fault of Kensignton but you’re jumping from keyboard to IPad for every little thing.
