Swinging hook does allow for more action on a swimming trailer like a paddle tail. Hook swing does appear to reduce fish’s ability to throw it on the surface.

This spinnerbait put spinnerbaits into my tackle box. I had bought a couple of cheap bargain bin spinnerbaits to learn on, and never caught any fish on them, and was becoming turned off the entire thing.

Later I bought this KVD spinnerbait in sexy shad on a whim to try something else with a spinning blade, because I was catching bass on inline spinners, but found that I couldn’t throw it around weeds or sticks or else I would ultimately end up losing lures.

At that point I began catching fish on spinnerbaits. This sexy shad spinnerbait has colours more in line with local bluegills, albeit brighter, and a great big shad dot to complete the illusion. Good spinnerbaits produce a good amount of vibration and don’t keel over when they run, and this is a good spinnerbait.

The blades spin freely, and it’s easy to get them started. The skirt has a nice flare to it and moves easily in the water. Bass jump right on it. Tandem blades are the do anything spinenrbait blade setups, and it is also easier to feel the vibration than a double willow.

Out of the package it comes with a trailer hook which ultimately ends up being what most fish get hooked on. Hooks are sharp and solid. Swivels are robust. Bait has stood up to multiple fish, some 3lbs, hoping to at least triple it’s life time at this point, so it remains to be seen, but it is my current go-to.

If you fish in the dead of winter this little jig should be your go to. I’ve caught hundreds of largemouths in water as cold as 33 deg. Largest was 10-2. Use the Netbait tiny Paca Chunk trailer, ypu will not find a more perfect trailer.

I use light spinning gear with 10lb. braid to 8 lb. fluoro leader. This gives you great sensitivity and ability to make long casts. I fish 5 days a week thru winter and have this tiny jig combo on 6 rods as you will lose some fishing wood cover as I do.

I love love love these jigs. I rig them with a Zman Baby Goat and use them as a micro swim jig. They are phenomenal; even the the bass think so. The action is fantastic; they are very durable and the color selection is first rate.

I have caught a ton of bass on these so far (even when nothing else worked). I now have a BFS setup dedicated to throwing these micro “swim” jigs. Oh; the price is great as well. The only modification I make is that I remove the weed guards (I don’t really have a use for them).

I was immediately happy with this “finesse” presentation (I recommend using it with the appropriate rod, reel, and line). I think it’s perfect for someone who is a beginner (it’s a lure that doesn’t require expertise), and if you’re an experienced angler, well, even better! I think you’ll quickly see that this lure puts fish in the boat (and NOT just small fish).

One bit of advice: make sure you adjust the weed-guard, bending it down closer to the hook’s point (it’s not set for optimal use right out of the bag). Make sure it has about a 40 degree angle, like a “V”.

At first I was having issues setting the hook, but after the adjustment my hook-set percentages greatly increased. Sometimes little fish hit the lure, so failure to land the fish isn’t always due to hook setting problems (sometimes they run with it in their little mouths).

That’s one of the benefits of this lure, it catches all types of fish (not just Bass). Also, add “appropriate trailers” that enable to lure to function the way it was designed (In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with the Z-Man Finesse TRD).

Make sure your colors are appropriate for the lake and conditions you are fishing and hold on tight!.

Fish were in 20-28 feet of water at Dale Hollow in mid-December with 47 degree water. The Jewel jig was perfect for putting the bait right in front of them at that depth. Multiple limits were taken with this jig for the 3 days I was there.

The hook point kept its sharpness and once the bass were stuck they stayed stuck. I would highly recommend this jig in any deep water application. I went back to Bass Pro to buy more.

This is a great jig if your looking to downsize. The head has a very durable finish as compared to most jigs and keeps the bait upright. The hook is great allowing easy hooksets even in very deep water.

The reduction in skirt material offers many more benefits other than downsizing of the bait. First it allows you to cast much further and second the bait is much more accurate in flight especially in high winds.

The bait comes through cover well and there are several awesome colors to choose from.

Love fishing these jigs everywhere! I use all the elaztec baits as trailers, they work perfectly. From turbo crawz, finese trds, palmetto bugz, goats and hula stickz.

I really wanted to like this jig. It’s amazing at skipping, and looks great (Green Pumpkin), but the hook was a let down. I lost a 3. 5lbs bass right at the bank and almost lost another 1lbs as I was pulling it in.

I’m not weak-setting the hook either, I’m cranking on this thing. I tried trimming the weed guard and skirt which made it a little better. I’ve never had this issue with any of my other Strike King jigs.

Maybe it’s a defect?.

Overall I believe it a good jig, love the color with that blue tint to it. What got my attention was the screw lock bait keeper. I really thought that would help keep the trailer on much better but it doesn’t.

Once your trailer slip back the first time those threads are gum up with pieces of your soft plastic and have to clean out before replacing it.

First the positives. If the screw lock was on the hack attack flipping jigs then they would be perfect. It does skip better but there is a trade off. The jig gets hung up more. I’ll stick with the hack attack flipping or the Denny Breuer jig.

I purchased 3 packs of these in the 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 oz sizes. I weighed them when they arrived as I thought that they looked very similar in size. The weights for the 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 oz sizes on my digital scale were 7, 8, and 9 grams, respectively (all fairly close to 1/4 oz).

Was hoping to get some really small jigheads when I ordered the 1/16 oz size. Overall the jigheads appear to be of good quality, and I would purchase again, but wish the weights were closer to what is advertised.

I’ve never used a swim jig before. The Booyah was a great choice. Quality craftsmanship and great color selection

You want Booyah Swim’n Jigs. No if ands or buts about it. I have two in the brown color and one in the white color. Now, sometimes the bass want to be finessed, even when you’re going for reaction strikes.

So, I keep one brown one with a skirt trimmed down to the hook bend, and the weed guards trimmed as well. The other one is right out of the package. And paired up with a green Yum Craw for some color contrast, these things catch bass all day.

I haven’t tried the white one yet, so I can’t vouch for it. But the browns=bass. Plain and simple.

This has long been a go to jig for me. It seems I can get fish to bite it when they won’t hit anything else. I remember on May 22, 2010 my buddy and I decided to do a night fishing trip on Table Rock.

We started about an hour before dark and caught two fish on a brush hog. After that they shut down and we didn’t get another bite for a couple hours, no matter what we used. Finally we both tied on 5/16 oz Eakins Jigs in PB&J color.

We used an Unlce Josh 11A pork trailer in blue and black. This may sound like a weird color combo but it worked wonders for us. We caught 22 Largemouth and Spotted Bass over the next 1 1/2 hours or so.

12 of them were solid keepers over 17 inches. We literally could not get a bite on another bait. This jig remains a go to for me and I highly recommend it to anyone.

I lave a lake in the back of my house so i fish almost everyday and I LOVE bass fishing. Up until now, I’ve used rattle traps religiously; but ever since I came back from college, it just hasn’t been my bread n butter.

I did some researching online and saw that the jig n pig setup was one of the best so i gave the Eakins flip’n jig a shot. Immediately I noticed that the bass were gravitating to the jig. I hadn’t caught bass with my rattle traps at my lake for a year now; but the first time using this bait has broken this dry spell of not catching any bass.

I’d also like to mention that my lake turned over recently so the bass have been dropping like flies; but despite this however, the eakin’s jig did what my rattle traps could no longer do. catch bass.

I recommend everyone and anyone who likes bass fishing to keep a few of these in their arsenal, especially the pumpkin green and black n blue colors. They work great! pros: -durable -great colors -rattles work great -extremely effective -good skirt cons: -2 rattle slots with 2 jigs but only 2 rattles in a package.

(should have 4) -sometimes the jig swims upside down -kind of pricey.

Probably the best finesse jig out there. Has just the right amount of action on the fall with a Zoom Lil Critter Craw. Skips well under cover also which is an advantage. Paint stays on the head pretty well and the color selection is great.

The only complaint I have, as many others on here, is the hook. I have broken a couple of hooks and thrown a few away due to the hook weakening. I bought the Falcon rod to use with this jig and haven’t had as much trouble with the hooks, but still wish they would start making them with something better.

These will flat catch the fish though. Make sure you keep one ready (and check the hook regularly).

Nice shakey head a little bigger than I expected. But that’s not their fault. I bought because reviews online were good. Excited to try them out.

Really good looking. Havent been to the right lake to use them in yet but they should work nicely. The hook size is a little bigger then Im used to but I think it will be fine. Its a big 3/0 hook

Could not use this bait its bigger than I needed but like these. I needed barbless hooks they look like they were,cool though.

Worked great on small ponds in GA. Good action and got hard strikes in early fall.

These are great compact finesse jigs. I use lots of different trailers on them. I really like cut down Yum Warning Shot or Kill Shots or small craws. They come through cover well but not for the thickest stuff.

Great skirts and colors too. I like the head design and the hook is sharp. Sometimes there is paint in the hook eyes that needs to cleared out but just takes a second to do.

An area I frequently fish has a lot of reeds, and is very snaggy. Most jigs I have tried only last me about 30 minutes before I lose them to snag, but these usually last me 3-4 fishing trips. I don’t know what it is about them exactly – maybe the head shape, line tie, weed guard, or something but they are very snag-resistant.

They also catch tons of fish!.

This jig is very well designed, has a really nice components, and great colors. Hook up ratio is fantastic too. The head design doesn’t get hung up much. A total bargain.
