20 Best Jeans For Short Legs (2023 Updated)

I had bought two pairs of the Petite Paley Boot cut many years ago and wore them till they wore out. This time my order was disappointing. These jeans are very uncomfortable. They are too tight in the thigh and very loose in the waist.

Also the rise is too short. I keep tugging these pants up and it is annoying. I am 5’2″, average 105 lbs, and have a 29″ waist. Unfortunately I bought them in indigo as well. I will not be purchasing again.

I prefer the fit and comfort of Levi’s 315 Shaping Bootcut 29Wx30L.

I used to wear these to work. Retired and stopped wearing them. WHY? Just ordered several pair and love, love them. Ordered them in the Midnight size 14 and they fit well, but this Anchor Blue is lighter weight.

Need to go down to size 12. Ordered the Ink in a 12 and they are perfect. Love all the washes. The legs are slim and straight, not tight like jeggingd which is just how I like them.

This is my third pair of JAG Nora jeans. I lost a pair while traveling in New Mexico and decided I missed them so much I ordered a new pair as soon as I lost the old pair. Saw them on sale and bought another pair for a spare.

They are the most comfortable jeans and I find they provide support for my lower pack and sciatica pain. And they look great! My husband loves them on me.

I love the hue of this pant. I love the comfort. They keep their shape well. There is one major drawback. They are a good two inches shorter than the first pair, which I purchased at Macy’s. They are supposedly the same inseam and size, yet the Macy’s pair end at my ankle.

This pair ends above my ankle. I didn’t figure that out until after I washed them, so I’m stuck with them. I guess I just purchase a tall from now on? The problem is the tall is always sold out. I hope Democracy gets on quality control and verifies they all have the same length, when they are listed as average size.

The only other thing I will say, is the pant says “straight”. However the only difference I found between these and the “skinny” is the ankle is tapered on the skinny jean and just end open on the “straight”.

Both hug your thighs and calves when you have any muscle on your leg to speak of, as I do.

I bought this pair after receiving a nice bootcut pair from a subscription service. The bootcut pair was too long, but the general fit was great, and they lasted a long time. I decided to buy a second pair that was true to size straight from Democracy – petite.

Unfortunately, the bootcut style was not available, so I settled with straight leg. I love how forgiving they are in the waistband, however, the pockets, as in many women’s clothes are too small to be practical.

On a visit to NYC, where you need to carry light, I found the pockets insufficient to secure my phone, ID card, and credit cards without fear of them falling out as I moved. Please give us real pockets.

I bought the size 10 average. The petite would have been too short. I’m 5′ 2″ and the average are 31″ inseam which is perfect with my cowboy boots. With flat shoes, I did have to fold them to a short cuff.

But they are so comfortable. Hard to find such a good deal on women’s jeans.

I was hoping the jeans would stay around my waist. Nope i need to pull them up, or i be showing everyone my underwear. Yes, i do know my size (12) If they only stayed where they should. Would be a good cheap pr of jeans.

I have many pairs of pants/jeans in size 6 from Natural Reflections, which all fit perfectly. These say they’re a 6, but are way bigger than that. They are cute and well-made, but so off in size. Gave away to someone who wears a 12 and she is comfy in them.

I ordered down a size as suggested which was great advice. These pedal pusher jeans fit perfectly. Except, the legs are quite a bit longer than the photos show. In the photo, they end slightly below the knee.

Mine come down to the calves. I will need to take them in to have them altered. So that is disappointing.

l love this capri jeans. Dress them up with a nice top and they look great. Soo comfortable … bought 3 pairs….

I was looking for some stylish wide leg crops, and these fill the bill! These crops have some give in the fabric and fit nicely at the waist. I return to this brand over and over!

I want to first give you an idea of measurements; I selected the 2P, I am roughly 5’2 and 120lb. With that being said, the leg length was decent, I do wish it was a bit longer but I can totally deal with the length.

Now, I mainly aimed for these because it appeared that they were going to have some stretchiness to them. They unfortunately do not have any stretch them what. so. ever! They are perfect around my waist and thighs, but around the butt area, I feel like they are squeezing me the death.

(And this has nothing to do with my butt size because I honestly barely have any butt, haha!) The little bit of butt I do have, these jeans take it away, haha! The pros; they are really good quality! And I do like that the bottoms dont flare out too much for straight Jean’s, like some others do! I just really wish they had a little bit of stretch to them like it made it seem.

Lauren – Mid-Rise Straight Jean have a fantastic fit with just the right amount of stretch. They fit perfectly, and smoothly over every curve. These jeans are in a bright white wash that looks clean and crisp, even after a few wears oh, and three washes.

The mid-rise cut was perfect at the waist, and the straight leg went just past the ankle, making for a comfortable all day wear. The fabric was soft and pliable while still holding its shape. I love the thickness of the denim, and high quality feel of these jeans.

This is a quality that I have come to expect from the Lauren brand, these jeans will last a long time, and you can tell from the feel of the fabric the first time you put them on.

These pants fit perfect! There are not very many petite pants fit and these do perfectly. They smell AWFUL!! Like burnt rubber or just like a factory smell. I opened them and left them in my closet and my whole bathroom smelled.

I hung them in an open area to let them air out. The smell did not subside at all. I was just going to send them back and order another pair but they were sold out. Called customer service to see if I washed them could I return them.

They said no. I washed them and the smell did not come out at all. Very disappointed is this brand. This was my first pair of RL Jeans and probably my last.

For the price these are great jeans. I ordered a 6 short and that is what they sent. It gets dicey when you order “short” sometimes pants are considered short and are still too long for me. In this case the pants are a little too short, but I can live with that.

I like these jeans for a bit warmer weather. They fit nicely. True to size. My legs are on the heavier side, so I’ll wear a longer top. Otherwise perfect dressier jeans

I can’t recommend these, as the sizing is way wrong. They’re really a nice pair of jeans, but only if you were a size 10 maybe. Super bummed they did not fit.

So Im obsessed with theses jeans. If your a short person whos not a straight stick figure these are the jeans for you. I am 5’3 1/4 & 132 lbs I have a but & hips & these jeans make my butt look small & very attractive.

I absolutely love these jeans. Adorable with a cropped white tee & black vans. If you get nothing else out of my review this is the most important thing. I take short length in EVERY AE jean. I bought these in 8 short & they are a tad too long.

Theyare out of x-short but when its back in Im buying, If you wear these with a flat sneaker like vans, & you are usually a short , i’d go with x-short. I bought the light denim in short bec I plan on wearing with platform sneakers or Doc Martins.

This is probably my favorite pair of jeans ever, they are so cool and look so good. However, I am 110 lb. and 5’0, I ordered a 00 short and they are still way to big around the waist and they drag on the ground if I’m not wearing shoes.

I am a size 2 in everything, skirts, dress pants, and even other jeans from AE! I originally ordered a 0 short but they were falling down, so I got the 00 short and they are still really big on me. I took the tag off before I realized they had 000 short lol.

The reason I’m still giving it 4 stars is because the jeans are just so good, such great quality and they look great I don’t even care that much about the sizing. I would highly, highly recommend buying these jeans (especially if you are tall!).

I bought these for my very petite 13 y. o. daughter – she was into skinny jeans and now she’s VERY NOT. She refuses to wear any of the super cute skinny jeans she used to wear (soooo LAST YEAR). These jeans fit the “anti skinny jeans” bill for her and she loves them! They do look super cute on her and she can wear them to school with her uniform shirt.

I ordered with trepidation! Used the size chart. knowing my waist would be larger than the measurement for the size 4. but looked at the stretch factor. not huge but indeed has it. They fit beautifully! I weigh 115#.

petite, waist is perfect with room to breathe,. LOVE THE WAIST NOT BEING LOW SLUNG!! DO NOT LOOK LIKE ‘ MOM’ JEANS! I have lower waisted jeans but these are perfect! The length perfect on my 25″ inseam.

Fabric us more of a thinner one than a lot if my other jeans, but just perfect amount of stretch. A nice weight tho. LEGS are NOT SUPER WIDE ON ME. Look like a normal wide leg. This wider look takes some getting used to.

I think the trick is to NOT wear over sized tops with wide leg pants. either short or crop type tops, or tops just closer to body, and when wearing leggings or skinny jeans wear longer and roomier tops, to create a more balanced look.

I to am not a curvy girl anymore due to an 80# weight loss, but so far love everything I have purchased in this line!.

OMG, I love these jeans!! They are the first ones that fit me perfectly in years. I only bought one pair because I wanted to try the fit and when I loved it, they are on clearance and not in my size {14) more.

Well, I guess if you snooze, you loose. Please bring these jeans back and other pant silhouettes like this one. I have begged Denim and Co to make one pair of pants that would fit “curvy girls” with hips and a small waist.

But they choose to make only one kind of pants that fit an apple shape (opposite of me). Anyway, thank you so much for the curvy girl jeans and please make many more like this one. I still say there is a market for pants that are smaller in the waist and a little larger in the hip.

First time trying Girl with Curves. I purchased the 16R and 14T because I wasn’t sure what size I would be in this brand. Both fit and I want more! Great feeling fabric and love both lengths. The 16R is slouchy/roomy like a boyfriend jean should be.

The 14T is a closer fit in my waist/hips but not tight, just enough stretch. For reference; I am 5’7″ tall, and carry weight in my middle (approx 44″ waist, 45″ hip). I can wear M/L-XL or/12-16 depending on fabric/style/brand.

Please bring back more sizes and colors of this style! Also would like a jean with stylish rips and tears. Thank you Girl with Curves for giving curvy girls great fashion!!.

So I have a pair of Topshop Jamie jeans from 2014 that i love but are slightly too small and have faded. I wanted to get a fresh pair so i ordered the same size that I have from Nordstrom (because their returns are a million times easier than Topshop) and i got jeans that fit me except they were too short.

Sadly, Nordstrom does not carry the same lengths as Topshop’s site. A Nordstrom “long” is only a 32 inch inseam whereas Topshop goes to a 34 inch inseam. I reluctantly ordered the same pair from Topshop so that I could get the length I need being 5’9, but when I got my Topshop jeans, they were an entire size or too big.

The size was the same as the Nordstrom pair, 32, but the Topshop pair fits like a 34. Disappointed in the lack of consistency between the two brands. Makes buying the size i need very confusing. Looks like I have to wait for the 30x34s to come back in stock and order directly from Topshop to get what I need even though I always prefer ordering from Nordstrom because their customer service and returns are a dream.

If Nordstrom would carry 34 length I could continue ordering from here. Very bummed and had to return them. other than that, the quality is nice and they seem thicker than my old pair are. If you order from Nordstrom, get your regular size or size up, if you order from Topshop, size down a size or 2.

I’ve heard rave reviews about these jeans for years but never took the plunge to order them because online shopping has always been more hassle than it’s worth. That is until the pandemic hit and all I do is shop for clothes online, so I bought these.

Umm yeah, I’m not sure if the quality has truly gone down that much or if these perhaps never were that great. At any rate I wouldn’t waste my money on these jeans. The quality is on par with a pair from Target.

I just had a baby and I’m looking for some jeans that weren’t too much of an investment in money but better than just jeggings. These are basically jeggings, there is no hold to these jeans, in the description I believe the inseam says 10”…? Not for me.

All in all I took them back and ordered a pair of vintage style Madewells (the absolute best for pulling in that mom pooch).

These are very flattering jeans! I’ve been wanting to try these for a while but was worried about sizing. Im a pretty solid 28 size6/7 in all my skinny jeans. Ambecrombie, American eagle, hollister, fashion nova and a 27 in kankan.

I seen some reviews that said these run smaller so I sized up to a 30 in these. I think I still could’ve gotten away with a 28 but am happy with my decision! These’s no digging into the waist causing a muffin top so I was great-full for that.

There not as high waisted as I’m used to, but I decided to keep them because they are still very flattering. I’m 5’7” and 148lbs and they hit rite below my belly button. I can get them up a little high by tugging them up more.

I got a length 32 which hits rite above my ankle bone. I wanted a 34 but they were sold out. They def feel like a much sturdier, thicker denim than I’m used to but I really like that about them. They still have enough stretch to flatter your shape all around.

Def will be purchasing more!:).

I just received these in the mail and am so happy I ordered them! I am 5’6 and about 145lbs, with a small waist and bigger hips and butt and they fit very well, just a little big in the back at the waist.

They actually fit like wide leg jeans which is what has been so hard for me to find! I ordered a 28, which is usually my standard size in other brands also like Madewell. Order them!.

Curvy 8 is the equivalent of a 12 in regular. I have a small waist and ample thighs/bottom. These gapped in front (extra room in stomach) and were moderately roomy in the legs/bum. Weird – I could have gone 4 curvy.

I’m normally a 6 or 8 depending on the cut of a Jean, but these were huge. 5’4” 145 athletic for reference.

I bought these jeans a couple of weeks ago because I love wide leg Jean, and they’re hard to find right now. These are soft and comfortable. I am a petite but I bought regular because these are considered cropped, but they are just the right length for me to wear with a platform sandal or boot.

They do run a little large. They do not shrink in the dryer.

I bought my first pair of leggings two years ago. They were a dark indigo color and were so comfortable that they quickly became my favorite pair of jeans. Last year, I tried to purchase a second pair but I couldn’t find any in a similar dark indigo.

I am not a big fan of the bleached out look on the thighs and it is very difficult to tell by just looking at a photo online if the jeggings are actually solid or if they have some bleaching. I ordered several pairs and ended up returning them.

This year’s jeggings came with a color labeled Dark Rainier Indigo and I went to the store to actually see them. Sure enough, they had a slight bleaching on the thighs which is not apparent in the online photo.

My wonderful Chico’s sales associate, Dawn, at the Wheaton store, showed me the new slim boot-cut jegging because their wash, Rainier Rinse Indigo, is a solid color. (Notice the similar color names. ) I liked the way they fit and decided to give them a try as the color is exactly what I wanted and the fit was flattering.

I haven’t had a boot cut for awhile so decided the time was right for something different.

Where do I start? I like the pull-on styles because you don’t have a zipper adding bulk to an area that. could use a little forgiveness. I will wear the tapered jeggings in winter because I can stuff the hem into boots.

Since I live in Texas and we don’t usually have a long winter, though, I wear flat shoes most of the time, and that’s where the bootcut styles really shine. They balance my hips so that I don’t accidentally look like an ice cream cone or a luscious carrot.

They really slim me down, so that I can wear them with any length top. They are great for traveling for that very reason – they are versatile, and you can dress them up or down.

I was so excited to receive these “jegging. ” I am tired of skinny jeans and looking forward to boot cut. I am not sure what defines a jegging, but in my mind, these are simply jeans. They run large as some others have commented.

I tried them on and thought they were very comfortable. I should have paid better attention. I wore them to work and as the day wore on, I felt like a sack of potatoes. The butt sagged and they made me look dumpy.

I should have returned them right away for a smaller size. I am going to see if they shrink in the dryer. Overall, very disappointed.
