20 Best Jeans For Older Men (2023 Updated)

I used to buy Levi’s over the years. But they have completely changed the quality, fit and style of the 559 and most other fits now. So I was looking for something similar meaning a straight leg, sits at waist and not to slim and not baggy in thigh area.

These Izod relaxed fit jeans are it! They are perfect for adult men. Unlike all these ‘skinny jeans’ all the manufacturers are pushing that only come up to your hips and squeeze the plums. I will say, I ordered 2 pairs 34 X 30 first and I think they were mislabeled because they both were at least 36X34.

So Bealls exchanged them for 2 more pairs and they were perfect.

These are the best jeans ever No more uncomfortable crotch since these jeans stretch where you need it. Coloring is great and they are always comfortable. This is the 3rd pair I have purchased, the other pairs are still in good condition, I just wanted to have another pair.

Probably the best fitting and most comfortable jeans Ive ever had. Good-looking as well. Very happy with the purchase.

I ordered 4 pairs of jeans for my husband. Two pairs already need repair. The belt loops are not stitched down very well & are pulling loose from the pants. Have to get out needle & thread to fix. Not happy! Pants were also a much lighter weight than previous purchases.

I have been buying Lee jeans most of my life. I have big legs and Lee regular leaves some room. The relaxed fit is usually too baggy. I can’t get my calves into some of the jeans from competitors. This particular version has some stretch, so the legs are form fitting, but they bend with you.

They look good and feel good. Note: There is a very fine pin stripping which I believe is the spandex. It may bother some people, but requires a close look to notice.

These fit me good and are nice and dark. The denim is getting lighter weight every time I buy them. The cotton is softer than other brands which I like. I have been buying Lee Jeans for 40 years and as time goes by things change.

Made in America are $100 and up so $32 is a fair price for these.

Since TS stopped selling their CE Shmidt (why???) line of carpenters, I’ve been struggling to find moderately priced, good quality, khaki work pants in stock anywhere. I hate buying clothes online, but I saw a pair of these in a smaller size on clearance at TS took a chance.

Fit great! Very happy. A bit over priced in my opinion for the quality (why no 5th star), but I needed them for work. Had some issues with the ordering process. When I would select the size I needed, it would change to a different size when added to the cart.

Had to empty the cart and retry several times. So, just watch out for that.

These are very good jeans I have worn this style for 15 years. The only problem I have is it is just like all the other manufactures. You have to try each pair on and they are either not the same waist size or length.

Why can a pair of jeans 34wx32L not all be made the same from the same manufacture !!!!.

I use them for everyday wear I like the fit of carpenter jeans. These are the first Lee jeans I have purchased never wore them before. I like the quality of the denim and the fit very comfortable. will purchase more Lee Jeans in different styles.

Had to order them through the website as they still aren’t available at my local Sam’s Club store, but that is okay. Same very good quality, selection of sizes and colors. The fit is roomy and they hold up well to washing over time.

Husband wears the dark colored jeans for a comfy, dressed up look. He also wears the jeans for working as a mechanic and furniture refinishing here at home. So glad these Member Mark jeans are available to buy again! I actually called corporate about them missing from the store/website.

No other jeans fit or wash & wear like the Member’s Mark jeans. Love the Sam’s Club price of the jeans too.

If you are looking for skinny jeans, this aint it. These jeans are full legged and roomy where it counts. The fabric is sturdy, but relaxed so there is no stiffness. They go through the wash with little to no shrinkage.

The price – under $15, can’t be beat. The jeans are very comparable to the big-name brand jeans, but without some Amish dudes name tag on your butt. The jeans will wear well on the farm or factory floor.

When clean, you can also wear them to places that really matter like your favorite breakfast place or take your lady to the cracker barrel.

* Relaxed fit is not the same as several years ago. Sam’s Club still unresponsive to complaints, and the fit seems to have gotten worse. To wit, Member’s Mark Relaxed Fit Durable Heavy Weight Denim 36×32, 5347350363, purch Feb-20, * Top of front to crotch seam bottom measured 13″, same as years older Relaxed Fit 36×32 13″.

* Top of back to crotch seam bottom measured 15. 25″, but the years older Relaxed Fit 36×32 17. 5″. So with this fit, the front tries to pull up and the back is pulled down and is most uncomfortable unless you are perhaps female.

This also pulls the fabric covering the front pockets tighter, producing enhanced wear points so that keys and coins carried in the front pockets will accelerate fabric wear. Quality Control Blue denim jeans purch in Feb-20- Button hole above the top of the front zipper is too small to fit the button without extreme effort.

To wit: Tracing out the button hole with an ink pin, the hole length measured 16. 20 mm while the diameter of the button, 16. 85 mm. These are easier to button than to unbutton and when trying these on, the only way I got these unbuttoned were because the poorly design cut allowed me to slide these jeans off, but were quite hard to unbutton even when off.

Second pair of blue denim jeans purch Feb-20: Button hole length: 15. 36 mm Inseam length- The inseam length consistency on the several pairs purch this year have been acceptable, but in the prior 2+ years, the supposed 32″ inseam varied from 31.

0″ to 33. 5″. And why no 31″ inseam availability? Regarding the sizes stocked, the 36×32″ denim jeans are frequently stocked out while there is a plethora of other sizes. When is Sam’s Club going to wake up and stock the size(s) people buy the most of?.

I ordered these jeans online. A black and light wash. Size 29. I love that they are rigid and 100% cotton. However, when I tried them on, the fit was not the same. The black fit well while the light wash was bigger on the waist.

The length of the inseam of the black jeans was different too. The left leg was longer by an inch than the right leg. I love the material but I was disappointed by the size/labeling and inconsistent inseam.

They’re not the odd tapered skinny jeans that have gotten popular in big mens size that can be very unflattering. These are a relaxed, straight, loose fit, without being baggy. They’re very flattering on big men.

If you’re reading comments looking for non skinny or athletic fit, these are those pants. They’re great for work or date night. I’m sure I’ll be back to order more, and hope they never stop selling them.

Every single color of these jeans is an exceptional and comfy fit. My husband has large legs, needs “additional rise in the pants for comfort”, and has a bigger rear. These are the first jeans he has worn that he never wanted to take off.

We bought every available color so far. They look much higher end than they are.

Love the fit and function of these jeans. There durable and affordable and great for work/daily use. Arizona is HOT! and these jeans are breathable and soft lightweight not saying it makes you cooler but doesn’t add anything extra and makes them easy to wear in the heat and sweat in them.

I’ve recently lost a considerable amount of weight, so I needed to buy a couple pairs of jeans quickly since the weather is getting chilly. I planned on getting Wranglers, my typical brand, but they’re up to almost $20 a pair.

Rustlers is also a decent brand, but my local Walmart didn’t have the color I wanted in that brand. I noticed the stand with the Faded Glory jeans and then I noticed the price. $10 for a new pair of jeans?! I tried on a pair in my size and they’re surprisingly soft (as soft as Wrangler) and seem to be made as well as the competition.

I’m glad that in this day & age where everything is expensive, we can get a bargain on something. I left with two light blue pairs. If they stand up to wear & tear I’m certain that I’ll go get more in the future.

I never wore jeans much until I came across the Faded Glory Original fit jeans. I have a short inseam (28) so finding jeans that fit was always difficult. Plus, I always felt that jeans were way overpriced anyway so I usually opted for “the dockers” style of pants.

But, when I moved to Texas in the 90’s I learned quick that you better start liking jeans to fit in! I found the Faded Glory Original Fit jeans at Walmart and took a chance on them. They have always been available for a great price so I didn’t have much to lose.

They fit me great. They are a nice weighted jean, not to heavy and not to light. My waist size has fluctuated over the years but the 30″ inseam has always worked great. I bought 30″ inseam in carpenter style and relaxed fit before but they were way to long and baggy at my shoes.

The Original Fit is more of a straight leg style and work well for this vertically challenged fellow. I have tried Walmart’s other jeans over the years, especially the Wranglers and the Rustlers. I have found that the Faded Glory jeans are more comfortable for me due to being just a little roomier in the waist.

I currently were a 32/30 and the Faded Glory’s are just more comfortable than my Wranglers in the waist line. Lastly, I have found that the Faded Glory jeans are very durable. I’ve never really worn out a pair of these jeans.

I usually only have to get rid of them if I’ve eaten my way out of them! Thank goodness the Faded Glory jeans come in plenty of size options. Overall, I am very satisfied with these jeans.

I bought this jeans in August very disappointing. Uneven seam, poor quality definitely not the real True Religion. Very unhappy

Fashionable pair for casual and semi-casual occasions. Fitted well for my body type, lean and athletic.

These jeans are comforatable and stretchy, however there is an extremely strong scent of formaldehyde from the manufacturing process on every pair that I’ve purchased. I’m up to 5 at this point, all purchased either online or directly from a Nordstrom store.

3 of them I had to return because the scent was overpowering. I went through every trick in the book to get rid of the scent on the other two, but no matter what I do, the scent is still there. Honestly, the comfort of these jeans are not worth the headache or both smelling and trying to get rid of that awful smell.

These are nice pants, but they don’t really feel like denim, which you should expect as they are only 20% cotton. Up close, you can tell that it’s a stretchy technical fabric, but from a normal distance they look like regular jeans, although they do drape a little differently.

These are really nice for the covid era and working from home, since they feel like pajamas, but also look great when going out. My only complaint is that they will not hold up very well if you have pets.

My husband has been going into his DC office over the past couple of months. He hasn’t worn one of his beautiful suits since the pandemic lockdown and needed some new pants. He still wears a nice shirt and tie with dress shoes (saddle brown with these pants) and he looks great.

My BF bought 2 months ago and looks GREAT in them! He’s 6’4″ and has no back end! The Ariat M5 make him look sooo fine! Runs normal in size! Nice feel to them too! Amazingly awesome Ariat Jeans!

I bought these Deadruns to go along with my T toe Drifter boots. They fit together like a glove. I love how the sizing is through the leg and around the boots. Its not too tight and is very comfortable.

In the groin area and on the backside it fits snugger so they don’t look baggy. When I say snug i don’t mean “tight” and strangling you, just looks wise they appear snugger than they do in the legs. Love these and definitely will be buying another pair.

Wore these all day riding and didn’t have a problem.

I bought my first pair of these pants at the end of spring. I had been looking for a great quality pair of jeans that actually fit and lasted. I was so happy with them I orders two more pairs. Still throughally impressed with the quality and for from these jeans and will buy more.

The fit is true to the size and recommend them fully.

This pair of 34R jeans were to replace an earlier purchase of same size style etc. HOWEVER the new jeans are about 3 inches longer then the previous pair of 34R. Returned. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I ordered a 34L in these jeans and this is the 3rd pair I have had, however they all come up slightly different in the sizing and these ones are good in the leg but bigger around the waist than normal so end up being baggy around the bum.

Dont buy these – the cut is awful – way too baggy at the top of the legs. More like a woman’s cut, but not as awful as the Lean Slim cut which I got instead. Buy Wranglers instead – cheaper and better quality.

This is the only pair of jeans I buy online without even trying. I know they will fit perfect. I am 6 feet and 200lbs, I wear 34/32 Out of the bag the feel a bit tight but they stretch just enough to fit perfect.

They have just enough stretch in it to be comfortable seated or if you wear them for an easy hike. I adore those jeans.

Banana Republic seems to be the only brand I can find that makes denim I truly like and these jeans are no exception. I’m tall and lean (6’2″ and 170lbs) and these slim jeans aren’t too tight or too loose anywhere.

They’re comfy in the thighs and slim at the ankle which is exactly what I like/look for. I ordered both a 31/32 and a 32/32 and they both fit me pretty well (the 32/32 being slightly looser in the thighs giving a little bit more of a relaxed look, but not baggy).

Love BR jeans! The only downside (and this goes for most brands) was the smell upon receiving them. I’m sure some of you are familiar with the “moth ball” smell you sometimes get with new denim. Wash them with vinegar on the first go-around and you should be good.

I normally don’t have much success in buying jeans for my husband without him trying them on, but tried my luck and purchased a pair. He absolutely loved the fit so much we bought three more pairs and one for our college age son! Highly recommend!.

My son that is a recent college graduate has decided to give up sweats and hoodies. I took him to Bloomingdales and he bought these jeans. They look amazing and could not have a better fit. He has been back several times and is in love with shopping at Bloomingdales for all his new style look!.

Very soft and comfortable with a very little stretch to give when you don’t want something so tight. Well made and just the right amount of taper in the legs. I’m a 36 waist and the mid rise fit me comfortably while they don’t feel baggy from my thighs down like some do.

I love the fact that the light wash color is throughout the jean and not in the fake look where it is placed there for effect. I ordered a second pair of the exact color just so I’d have these a long time.

Bought this recently , and had to return. No style!, the crotch hangs low giving a very unflattering bagginess to the front. The material was a bit weak as well. To be frank, i am a loyal bloomingdales customer, but the denim selection is lacking unless you are a skinny fit wear person.

The skinny fits have a better, more stylish selection to choose from.

So pants don’t really fit me because I have a athletic build and big legs. So because of this I never wear jeans, only joggers or shorts almost everywhere I go. But when I put on these jeans on, I was sold.

I’ve purchased this exact same pair of jeans for a very long time now. I always make extra sure that I get the correct pair in the shopping cart since over the last year it’s been increasingly difficult to get to an actual Old Navy store (for obvious reasons).

I think that something has changed ever so slightly with the sizing in these. I always get black and the same size/length, and every other time they’ve been perfect. I ordered 3 pairs this time (I wear out jeans easily because of my profession) and all 3 barely fit.

I haven’t lost or gained any weight at all (I’ve been the same size and weight for about 6 years now), and these 3 pairs fit so tight around the waist that it’s almost as if they forgot to add the flex/stretch or something like that.

Again, great jeans. I love them. But something happened within the last 4-5 months in regards to how they’re made and how that works with sizing. If you’re used to buying this specific pair of black jeans, go up one size!.

Not sure what happened here. My whole adult life, 30 length jeans are perfect for me. This includes from Old Navy. I bought these jeans in 30 length and they hit about 2 inches above my ankle. Perfect for if my house floods, I guess? The rest of the fit is just odd, too.

Tight in the upper butt, loose in the lower butt, too loose in thigh, too tight in calf, too loose at (what should be) the ankle. I can only assume there was an earthquake as these were being stitched together.

Maybe it was just this pair. But, returning.

My new favorite jean. The fit is great, gives just the right amount without being baggy. I’m a man in my mid 70’s who has always been slim. I’ve recently started to put on weight around my waist. I weigh 182 lbs.

& am 5’11” tall. I bought the 35×32” size. In Levi’s it would be too tight & I would need the 36” waist. The problem is then it would be too baggy in the thighs, as I’m slim in the hips & legs. But the bean pants in the 35” waist stretches to fit my waist & is not baggy around my thighs & backside.

My only dissatisfaction is that the front of the pants, by the pockets, look like they’re wrinkled, but it’s a coloration difference in the denim. And I have 2-pairs of the fleece lined jeans that have that same look.

But bottom line, they are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever wore. (I would love to see these offered in black).

We waited more than a month for these backordered jeans to arrive, but when they finally did, we were completely disappointed. Opening the plastic in which they were wrapped released a noxious stench that impregnated the fabric.

Trying them on, we found that the white pocket linings protruded from the pocket openings, and the waists were way too loose to wear comfortably. These were so unlike LL Bean products that we could scarcely believe they were genuine articles! The obnoxious stench and defective pocket linings should have been caught by the quality inspector, but obviously passed inspection.

These were awful, and I would never recommend that anyone buy these! Both pairs were packed back up and returned the very same day!.

Very comfortable but unfortunately I must roll up cuff to avoid tripping on them as they are about 1″ – 1 1/2″ too long. I asked if they could shorten them and was told that particular service was not offered on this pair.

These are the first pair of jeans I’ve ever worn in 77 years that felt good. Not too heavy and just the right amount of give. For the record the only clothes I purchase are from L. L. Bean. I typically pay full price and after receiving them, when I’m able to afford it, I pay another $10-15.

dollars to have the cuffs shortened. That too is sometimes challenging as I have difficulties walking. I really like your clothes and have long recommended L. L. Bean to my friends and will continue to do so.

I have two pairs of slacks that I purchased perhaps a year or so ago that I’ve never warn because they are too long and L. L. Bean staff person said they did not offer tailoring on those pants, only on the more expensive ones which I’ve also purchased.

The reason I haven’t worn them is that I haven’t been able to get them tailored. So they just sit. I’ve been keeping my eyes open to find someone I can bless. I realize L. L. Bean as a return policy but frankly it’s too difficult with my challenges.

As I’m retired – and disabled – I’m not big on walking around the house in a belt, jeans, boots, button-up shirt, etc. Yet, I’m not altogether wild about spending my life in sweat pants and tees either.

But these pants resolve that dilemma by allowing me the comfort of sweat pants, with the look of jeans and a lightweight belt. (Or none at all, should I choose so. ) The fit is near perfect. The color, likewise, They’re just heavy enough to be believable as jeans.

But lightweight enough you think you’re in sweat pants. I love them!.

The 2 pairs of Men’s Casual Joe® Stretch Waist Jeans with Drawstring that I purchased both had a strong gasoline odor when I first received them. That odor persisted even after several washings and wearings but eventually got fainter.

I reported the problem to customer service, but the problem was never resolved by the Haband customer service people to my satisfaction. I could have exchanged them, but I was reluctant to do so because I was afraid I would get other pairs in exchange that had the same strong odor.

After wearing the pants, I’ve come to like them as they are comfortable, but a faint odor of gasoline can still be detected. It’s my belief that the warehouse workers who packaged the pants to be shipped would have surely detected the strong gasoline odor, but they packaged and shipped the pants anyway.

After reading reviews I ordered three sizes of jeans. The size my husband usually wears were true to size and fit perfectly. I purchased the medium blue jeans with elastic on the sides. My husband has Parkinson’s and struggles with buttoning but the elastic allows him to pull them up easily.

Very happy with Haband. Very friendly and helpful when returning the ones that didn’t fit.

I currently own about 8-9 pairs and it took me couple tries in the beginning to get the sizing right. Now, jeans are keep getting longer and longer. Inseam 30 jeans are now same length as 32 inseams.

Jeans were tapered cut last year, which I like, but the same size same color jeans (32/30 darkest blue) are wider in legs this year. These are very comfortable jeans but it only works when they are tapered and tight fit, otherwise baggy jeans are comfortable anyway.

Also different colored jeans have different fits.

Absolutely love the color and fit. This is my 2nd pair. I originally ordered a different color and once arrived, I realized I wanted to go darker blue. The return/exchange was easy and smooth. My only complaint is there is a bit of a snag in the material of one leg.

I initially tried them on and loved them and didn’t notice it. After wearing them the first time I realized what an annoyance it was to have that snag. It is partially my fault for taking the tags off and not realizing the issue.

I also feel for a $100 pair of jeans, there shouldn’t an issue like this. I will continue to wear Mugsys and still feel they are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever found but I would hope they watch for things like this in the future.

These are some of the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. They have a very nice more modern fit but have a nice flex to them which brings comfort. From a comfort level they’re the best. However, I bought these because I also loved the dark color and thought they would look great in a number of situations.

After only 2 wears and washes (on cold with dark colors) the color has faded terribly along the seams of the jeans as if I had been wearing them for years. Because the base color is so dark, it’s even more noticeable which shouldn’t happen on a pair of $100 jeans.

Pretty disappointed in the due quality. If I could post a picture I would.

Can’t find anything negative to say about these pants. They fit real nicely, I’ve been doing squats so I am trying to show off.

Small rip in the jeans that I only noticed after a wash (unpacked the jeans & never wore them). Also, something is off with the size, both width and length. Looking at the label, I am both a bit taller and wider than what the label indicate in centimeters but the jeans is def one and a half too big in size (both width and length).

I got my bf these same jeans in a different wash and they fit great. He’s a true 34×34 and these are super tight in the thighs and waist. Maybe size up one size if you want them to fit less tight and more fitted.

The color is great and the quality is very nice too.

These may be the coolest jeans I have ever bought. Perfect fit. The cut follows the body closely but the material has a good stretch (not too much) so they are comfortable. Material seems good quality as well.
