Best Java Ide For Beginners (2024 Updated)

The ide/sata USB 3 adapter worked with a number of hard drives I have salvaged from laptops, desktops, and portable hd units. SATA drives were the simplest and quickest to connect and transfer data from.

I was able to connect a SATA drives in a few minutes and extract the data I needed. This work on 2 different SATA drives. The IDE was a bit more problematic. Depending on the manufacturer, I had to experiment with the master/slave/cs jumpers and follow specific connection steps, for powering up and connecting the USB cable to the host computer.

Eventually I was able to access 4 IDE drives from different manufacturers and extract the data I need. Very nice getting the power supply and all necessary connectors.

-Make sure to set your IDE drive jumper settings to MASTER and, like the instruction manual says, you want to have the power switch OFF on the devices power cable with the USB plug UNPLUGGED from your computer and then power on the switch and wait at least 20 seconds before inserting the devices USB cable into your computers USB port (20 seconds is likely not required (I would say more like 5 seconds) in many cases but I think they say this just to be certain things will work).

NOTE: it may seem like there is no power to the hard drive when the power adapter’s power switch is switched to ON but the hard drive only spins up once the USB cable is inserted into your computer on nearly all of my hard drives besides a Maxtor 10.

2GB as that seems to spin up immediately after the power switch is switched ON where as the others don’t power/spin up until the USB cable is plugged into the computer. -I got this device connected to a USB 3 port on back of my computer which is connected to a Vantec USB 3.

0 PCI-E card, model UGT-PC345. but it does work on my computers USB 2 ports as I briefly tested it. I got a ‘ASUS P8H61-M LX Plus’ motherboard. -Auto-detected by Windows 10 (build 17134(which is April 2018)).

so in other words, you just connect it to your computer and it just works without any driver installation needed. -Hard drive easily managed from ‘Disk Management’ in Windows 10 if you need to delete everything and start from scratch etc.

but for good measure, and partially to test out this IDE to USB 3 adapter, I did a ‘delete volume’ and then created a new one to make sure it takes up the maximum storage of the hard drive and then did a full format and everything worked fine.

but to state the obvious. DO NOT use ‘delete volume’ unless you have your data on the hard drive somewhere else first since this will delete all data on the hard drive! ; but basically if your drive does not show up, check ‘Disk Management’ as you may need to do a little bit of adjustment in there before Windows see’s the drive so you can use it.

Bottom line. I give this Vantec IDE/SATA to USB 3. 0 adapter a 4. 5 out of 5 as it’s only real fault is the short USB cable length at 18 inches, but for $20 it’s hard to complain.

I owned an older USB 2. 0 adapter from another brand that I always seemed to have problems with. It would either not work or would report that the drive was non-responsive. When it said the drive was non-responsive, I couldn’t be sure if the drive was really dead or an issue with the older adapter.

Got fed up with it and bought this Vantec one to replace it. Works much better. Easy to setup and easy to use. Especially if you follow the included instructions. Plus, it’s USB 3. 0 so much faster than the previous one when I do need to transfer data to/from a bare drive.

Definitely recommend this one.

I have dehydrated combo-oily skin with mild acne and scars + pigmentations. I have applied this several times already before I can confidently give a review. This is soooo soothing! When my skin is irritated, feeling crusty or just tired, I would grab this and my skin feels better right after! My skin becomes much more calmed and smoother.

I really don’t have to worry about timing this when wearing this mask cause it wouldn’t dry my skin at all. Of course, we should leave it on as advised. The small mugwort did bother me when applying cause it would fall off and gets messy, but it feels good that there are something physical that helps scrubs off dead skin.

It’s a bit messy too when washing it off, but I think it’s worth it despite all that.

After reading great reviews I bought this mask, but it will not be repurchased. First, the smell, oh god the smell! Second, the plant bits. Small enough to sneak through the sink sieve, big enough to clog the pipes.

Third, the texture. I could not spread it evenly with any of my brushes or spatulas. Overall I think there are mugwort masks with better formulation.

one of my favourite clay mask. I can see after washing it my pore are minimize temporarily. But, defenitely you will see change in your face. It helped me with recovery of new acne, cleaning my pores, reduce its large and control of sebum.

Finally, giving me a very long hydration. ( I’ve been using this mask for two months twice a week).

I bought this on a whim to try out a new essence. Being more acne prone I tend to stick to the same few items for double cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, but essences are where I feel like I can have a little more fun and try out new products.

This was under the “Acne” concern category and so I went for it, despite it being a bit pricier than my normal go-to toner (the 30 Day Miracle one). I have been pleasantly surprised! It’s lasted super long because you don’t need a ton, and it’s extremely hydrating and calming.

I think(?) it’s helped my acne but I can’t really confirm that to be honest. I also like how it smells – I really enjoy more herbal, botanical scents and this delivers that. Overall I like this product and recommend if you’re looking for a nice cooling, calming, and extremely hydrating essence to pat on at night.

I wouldn’t say it’s top notch for acne based on my personal experience, but I do think it calms down skin quicker after any kind of breakout.

I have used the entire bottle, a few drops on my hands and patting onto my face. I have sensitive skin, acne-prone. I tried keeping my skin ultra-hydrated with thick moisturizers and using sunscreen and that’s also been hleping my acne.

The real test was when I went on vacation this past week. I decided to leave my mugwort essence at home bc I didn’t want to go through the hassle of moving it to a carry-on travel size container and I regret that decision.

My skincare routine stayed the same, minus the essence. my diet was the same. I doubt one slice of pizza caused the massive breakout all over my face. Chin, forehead, cheeks, nose, under my jaw. Just whiteheads, but the missing essence was the only thing that could’ve been the cause.

I’m ordering a new bottle today. This, and weak retinol products from the inkey list, were the only active skincare products that i use and I hadn’t used the retinol a few weeks prior to vacation (i knew I’d be exposed to a lot of sun).

My Cereve cleanser and nivea moisturizer only maintain the skin condition, not fix it. Highly recommend this product, though i’m always up for trying something new. But this one’s on my list of products I can swear by.

I have been searching the content on some older IDE and SATA hard drives and purchased this adapter to help the process. It works perfectly for unlocking otherwise inaccessible drives. I highly recommend this inexpensive solution.

It works well!.

When I first purchased this, I thought that the contacts in the “inline” power switch were flaky. Two years down the road, the unit would not power up at all. Turns out the issue was a poor quality power cable.

Replaced the cable with a known good unit. The adapter is now stone cold reliable. So if you have one of these and the green LED lamp on the power switch flickers or acts weird, try replacing the power cable.

Over all, I’m very happy with this unit. Well worth the money [$12 on sale] I spent on it. I deducted 1 star because of the bad power cable. 4 years of ownership and the power supply has failed. This unit was lightly used over that time, no more than 25 uses.

I deducted a second star for this. FYI, I recently purchased Vantec’s USB 3 version of this adapter. It uses a different [and better] power supply. The power supply from the USB 3 version will also work with this older USB 2 unit.

I work on and build PC’s as a side business in addition to my day job. I wouldn’t exactly call myself a professional but I test a few old IDE hard drives a day in the background while gaming and this was a great little tool to format drives before selling them.

This adapter was just what I needed while it worked. I formatted somewhere around 25 older hard drives with capacities between 20-250GB over a couple months. I also used this adapter to burn a few CD’s on older IDE CD/DVD drives and that worked fine as well.

Yesterday I had a drive fail half way through formatting and I figured it was just the drive so I tossed in in the reject pile to take apart later for magnets and other fun bits. The next drive the same thing happened.

and the next. then I tried to burn another CD and iTunes would say there had been an error after a couple seconds. I tried a known good drive and a couple other PCs just to be sure. It’s definitely dead.

I would say I got my use out of it but I wish it would have lasted longer than a couple months. I’ll look for a similar adapter of a different make.

this is a product that you basically cant escape if you are a korean beauty addict like i am. the brand I’m from is my all time favourite and it never fails to deliver on both results qnd experience of using the product itself.

its calming qnd smells medicinal almost. it is not full totally wich I dont like but I guess the large version is huge and this is a trial only. and this beautiful product right here is one of my all time favoutirt does work and has a pleasent texture.

the packaging is cute too and I’ve been incorporating it with differnet ingrediengs in my skincare routine each time. I am looking forward to discovering more and more products and I also love how easy uesstyle makes shopping for korean beauty products.

This is a great product if it worked!!!! One of the cylinders on the IDE power connector was missing out of the box. I did not know why I was not able to view the IDE hard drive and could not access the contents.

At first, I thought it was something I was missing and then upon checking my settings and then the device and the adapter, I saw one of the copper cylinders on the IDE power connector was missing!!!! I am sure that this can be resolved in a short time and will ALWAYS recommend C2G products as I have never had a problem with any previously bought items.

I’ve had an old computer in the garage that I haven’t used for years but didn’t want to get rid of it because of the files I had on it. I didn’t know how to get them off because the computer had crashed.

I was worring it would cost too much to take it someplace to have them retrieve the files for me. When I found out that there was a cable I could get to hook up to the hard drive I was undet the impression it would cost maybe $50.

00-$60. 00. I took the hard drive to Best Buy to see I needed but they didn’t carry it. They did however tell me exactly what I needed. I didn’t expect to find it at Walmart at all. When I Googled it, Walmart was one of the top websites that came up.

It was only $19. 00 I ordered it and paid the shipping rather than “Ship to Site” because the estimated delivery date was significantly sooned. This was the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating.

It was expected to arrive on 1/3/13 but I didn’t get it until 1/7/13. Other than my dissappointment in the delivdery time, and the fact that I only may use it one time, I was extremely surprised at the ease to retrieve my old files and 4 years worth of pictures I had given up as a loss.

I’ve already used this to connect older laptop drives to my system for recovery and it worked like a charm. The USB cable length is a bit short for my taste, but I’m guessing that’s to keep noise lower for the data transfer.

Thankfully the power cable is reasonably long so you aren’t restricted on both power and data cable lengths. Used this with a Win7-Pro system and a Linux box (used both Ubuntu 12. 04 & BT5) and all OSs detected the attached drives with no issues and no drivers to install.

Read speeds in Win7 was 32MB/s reported by the OS (with AV disabled for testing). Linux “hdparm -tT /dev/sdb” avg 1160MB/s on cached reads; 34. 35MB/s on buffered disk reads. These tests were on the same physical disk above with nothing else on the “USB tree” for either system.

Granted it was an older drive so YMMV. Overall: highly recommend this if you help fix other people’s PCs and/or for data recovery.

I’ve been wearing Hoka Clifton’s for the past couple years and decided to try these because they changed either the outsole or toe box that was causing some slight discomfort. I have no issue with these.

The were a bit roomier than my Hokas, with a bit more width which felt good. I rotate shoes for my workouts so it is easy to notice the differences between the two. The padding on the heel and mid foot is good, but the ball of the food was less cushioned than I was used to but still felt fine.

I’ve only put a dozen or so miles on these so far so it is hard to say how they will hold up, but I expect them to perform well. One other thing is that they aren’t necessarily easy to slide you foot into like other shoes.

The upper below the tongue of the shoe is sort of split in two and the heel padding seems almost detached from the shoe. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but when I try to just slide my foot in like I do on most shoes, I feel like there are more places to adjust afterwards.

After purchasing these shoes, I wore them just to run errands. I have very normal, non-problematic feet, but these shoes hurt the arch and ball of my foot to the point that I was almost in tears. For the next 3 days I had to wear soft bedroom slippers because I was still experiencing the pain! I’ve worn every brand of sneaker, but I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Since I wore the shoes, Bloomingdales wouldn’t allow me to return them. So, I’m donating a pair of expensive sneakers to Goodwill. I’m certainly done with On and I’m done with Bloomingdales!!!.

This is my 4th pair of On. The On Cloud (4th gen) had the issue where the dip line at the side toe area would crease sharply, and several folk I know including found the more rigid upper mesh eventually tore.

That has been fixed with the On Cloud 5. The Terry has a soft slightly stretchy fabric upper, so that part of the dip doesn’t seem to be an issue. The terry cloth tongue can look a little funky with the elastic laces, but they look killer with the included regular laces.

Very comfortable and sleek fit.
