I have bought an Otterbox for every phone that I have ever owned. I spend a lot of time on construction sites and in the outdoors, so my phone is subject to some rough treatment and occasionally gets dropped.

I have never had any damage to my phones in an Otterbox. One phone even survived a twenty foot fall from a roof. No way would I have a cell phone without an Otterbox. They sent me the wrong case at first.

Called customer service and the agent was very friendly and helpful. The return was fast and easy. Had my new case in a couple of days.

This case is extremely rugged, and one that I have used for years on another iPhone. I’ve dropped it numerous times onto concrete, roadways, etc. , without any damage at all. That’s the great part. There are some major tradeoffs for such protection – it’s clunky and heavy, and the fit in the holster is really tight.

About half of my drops are from the holster because I didn’t click it in completely. Taking the phone out of the case is challenging- the new design of these cases has two slide clips and detents that make it really difficult to take apart – that’s good news if you never need to remove it from the case, but very bad news if you need to change a SIM card.

A slot on the case for the SIM card would really help. And finally, the newer front cover has a thin membrane covering the iPhone control button – it doesn’t work great for fingerprint recognition, and with repeated removals of the case the membrane wrinkles and comes off.

I’ve now learned to remove the membrane before I put on the case, which helps apart from the sticky residue from the glue that held it in the first place.

I have owned the case for the iPhone SE for a couple weeks, and thus far have been suitably impressed. I’m not using the bracket which the case snaps into, as it makes the phone too bulky to put in a pocket, and I don’t like the idea of having it hanging from my belt at this time.

Without the bracket it does fit into a pocket, though it is a snug fit in some. Understandable due to the level of protection it provides. The phone went in, and the case snapped back together easily.

It holds the phone firmly, so there’s no vibration or shifting of the phone within the case, which indicates it is engineered correctly for the size of the phone. I have only made one phone call thus far, and that worked without any issues.

Both parties could hear and understand each other just fine. The shield which goes over the touch screen (that’s built in), slightly changes the feel, but I’ve not noticed any change in the way it responds to my touch.

Overall, as of this time I’m very impressed with the overall feel and construction of the case, and definitely feel as though it is worth the investment.

Clunky, but all around a good, solid product. Let’s start with the cons. Installation’s a pain, and it’s equally difficult to remove. You’ve got to be very careful with a toothpick ready to stop the case from putting your phone on silent.

Touch sensitivity goes down drastically. It says that it’s waterproof, but if you look at the bottom of the product there’s an opening directly to the speakers that’s sure to let in as much liquid as it can fill.

I’ve not personally submersed it, and I’m not going to intentionally do it any time in future because hey, I’m not going to take the risk if I can help it. As for pros, this baby has hit concrete multiple times pretty hard without a scratch on the actual device.

The case itself has a few dents here and there, but my phone is in the same condition it started out in. I appreciate the ability to open and close the headphone port with ease. The pricing’s a hell of a lot better than some of these alternatives.

I’d recommend the Atlas to anyone who’s willing to put up with a little routine push and pull for a sturdy, reliable case at a bargain.

This case is lightweight, tough, good protection. It is not bulky like some cases, slides in and out of my pocket easily. I’m using it on an Iphone SE. This case doesn’t work with touch ID but that’s OK with me.

The bottom door of the case has to be opened in order to charge or to remove headphone plug. The door is hard to open. The glass screen protector seems sturdy but it makes using the touchscreen difficult.

I have to push harder to get a response than I am used to. Also, the plastic frame is too thick right up to the bottom of the screen, making it difficult to use the touchscreen at the bottom. The lens protector for the rear camera also collects dust and is difficult to clean because it is recessed in a small hole in the plastic case.

Overall, it’s a good enough case for the price. I expect it to do a good job protecting the phone. But there are some sacrifices to usability of the phone when using this case.

It’s not easy to silence your iPhone. You have to really push down on the knob and even then it hardly works. The sound is muffled. You have to turn your phone way up in order to hear a notification or hear when your phone is ringing.

And you have to yell when FaceTiming. The person on the other end kept reporting I could hardly be heard, or I needed to speak up, or something along those lines. I do think this is a good quality phone case.

But it has its flaws.

I’ve had lifeproof cases since they came out over 10 years ago. There was a significant decline in quality when they were acquired by otterbox, but but the fre was still the most protective case on the market (in my opinion).

These cases are great for the first 3 months, but they only last for about 3 months now before they start deteriorating. The cover over the home button comes unattached, the back bubbles out and causes shadows in pictures, the speaker won’t align properly with the hole so no one can hear you, if you can get the cover over the charging port to last more than 6 months, it’s a miracle.

I still have my case from 2012 on my old iPhone that I just use as an iPod now and it’s in better condition than my warranty replacement that I got 4 months ago. The only positive thing is that they haven’t gone up that much in price (if at all).

However, I’d much rather pay more for a product that actually works. At this point, I’m not even going to put in another claim because it’s not worth paying for the shipping.

Works perfectly. All buttons work, sound is good, overall great case. I’ve used it one week and haven’t had any issues other than it is very, very hard to get the phone out of it. I watched a youtube instruction and it isn’t nearly as easy as the guy makes it look.

But other than that, no issues whatsoever. I would recommend it.

The case APPEARS to be great. Time will tell if it provides the protection it claims to provide. My only complaint is that the very edges of the touchscreen are difficult to operate through the cover, particularly in the corners.

Otherwise it is a good looking case, which will hopefully protect the phone for years to come.

Some may think it’s silly to buy a replacement case for an iPhone 5s but I’m teleworking for the first time with a borrowed computer and using my cell more than ever. I ‘m no techie and have no time to learn about a newer phone.

I bought the first Lifeproof case for this phone in 2013 and it paid for itself several times over. It had a good deal of wear marks after 6+ years, then I had a minor problem with the phone in January and the phone store person tore the case up examining the phone (didn’t even fix it, Apple support did).

I was able to put the new Lifeproof case on by myself and I swear the old phone seems to work better — the exterior buttons are newer and more pliable and the face membrane fits better, possibly? If I ever get the time to break in a newer iPhone I will definitely buy another Lifeproof case for it.

I have had two iphone 5 Lifeproof fre cases and my husband has one and they’ve all leaked. The first one I had for a year, and then it leaked. They replaced it under warranty, and I’ve had the replacement for 7 months and it’s leaking now as well.

The first couple months of owning my cases, they were fully waterproof (went swimming with them), but past that, they weren’t. This case is totally durable, it’s small and very lightweight for how protective it is.

It protects your phone very well from daily wear and tear, but it is NOT waterproof. If Lifeproof didn’t “claim” it was waterproof, I wouldn’t have any problem with this case, but since they “claim” it’s waterproof, yet I have had three leaky cases, I have to give it a low rating.

Another problem I’ve had with the design is that the fre screens sometimes don’t sit flush on the screen, there are bubbles under it, which makes it so you have to press a lot harder to use the touch screen.

I’ve gotten used to having to push hard, but whenever someone else uses my phone they complain about how hard they have to push to use it. My first case didn’t have this problem, but the replacement case they sent me has this problem.

I think this is fairly common and it’s just luck of the draw if you get a flush screen or not. My husbands case also had bubbles under it, so we took it back and replaced it, and his 2nd one still had the same problem just to a lesser extent.

If you aren’t expecting this case to be waterproof, it is an amazingly durable case and super protective. My phone is literally in brand new cosmetic condition, as it has been in a lifeproof case the 1 years I’ve owned it.

But it is not waterproof. Oh and the warranty process is super simple. My iPhone 5s has been in a Lifeproof Fre case since its purchase and I’m glad to say it’s in an amazingly pristine condition- almost better than when it was bought! I have dropped my phone multiple times; it’s rolled through concrete, been dropped on rocks and has survived a fall from the staircase several times.

The case gets damaged- as expected- but I have never had to worry about my phone. Some people think it’s odd seeing me immediately pick up my phone after a fall, without even checking the screen- I just trust my case so much.

It’s a great feeling when I can take my phone with me sailing, as I’m usually the only one in my crew who can take photos. My phone’s been through rough sea water, a capsize, a slide from the bow to the stern and very many other outdoor activities.

It’s gotten muddy, dirty, been left in 30°C heat and -2°C cold snaps. My Lifeproof case lived for about 1 and 1/2 years before it started wearing out (the edges started peeling off and the protective skin on the home button for the 5s also came off, as did the camera lens protector at the back), which is a bit of a downside; although take into consideration I have been using this case in extreme conditions almost every week.

Well designed and very durable waterproof cell phone case. Perfect for my outings in the mountains as I use my phone as a GPS navigator. Using 2 lanyards tied to the handlebar, it can also be used on a bike.

I was dubious about the size but that big fit just right on my galaxy A40.

It is a good case to protect and use the mobile during water activities. The large size is a bit limited for the most modern mobiles although it can be used with a 5. 2 “mobile. Of course, it fits very just.

It takes up little space, if well used the watertight seal is assured. In addition, the phone is easy to use inside the case.

Great for a smaller phone, but a bit tight for the larger ones.

I live in Florida. When I’m not working in the construction field I spend my free time fishing and boating. I need protection for my expensive iPhone that is not only tough but completely waterproof.

My first Otter Box Presever lasted for about two years before I needed to replace it. Over the two years I did get a bunch of scratches on the screen and finally the little rubber membrane button at the bottom of the screen wore through but I literally dragged this thing through the dirt.

I carried it in my nail bag (with the nails), dropped it daily and sweat all over it. My hands were routinely covered with dirt or concrete while handling my phone, so the fact that this rubber membrane lasted so long speaks volumes to its durability.

This thing is about bullet proof! After receiving my new one, I took my iPhone out of the Preserver for the first time in two years. The phone was still brand new! For my money this is the best phone protection you can buy.

The case is about the same size as the otterbox defender. It is thinner than the otterbox armor and not as bulky. As long as the ports are closed, rain doesn’t get in like it does with the defender. I find the screen is much more receptive and sensitive than the defender or armor (I’ve owned them both).

You need to use a apple charging cord or the port will be too small and you will have to remove the phone from the case to charge it. I like it better than the otterbox defender and the armor. I will buy another one.

Oh one more thing. The sound for the speaker is not the greatest but no better or worse than the defender or armor, just use headphones or external speakers. Phone quality is good but speaker phone isn’t as crystal.

I have no shortage of awesome things to say about this case. I’ve owned a few over the past 6 months, none of them make me feel secure about my phone like the preserver. I’ve dropped and even thrown my phone more times than I can count.

It’s gotten doused it in tons of water and wine and god-knows-what. Phone is still untouched. Speaker quality is just fine (you experience a slight difference but that’s the case with all waterproof cases).

I did try the Incipio Atlas case, only to go back to this after less than a day. I can only imagine that the only time I will get rid of this case is to replace it with a new one.

Ive just ordered two as replacements for my older ones, nothing wrong with the others, but clear plastic starting to loose its clarity after 4 yrs of use. One thing I would recommend, always test before you risk your expensive phone, I used a weight wrapped in paper kitchen towels in 3ft of water for a week, only coz I forgot they were still in there, lol.

This cover is great! It keeps you phone completely dry while still allowing full functionality. It also seems to prevent glare even in bright sunshine. We summer on an island with lots of foggy mornings, so I got this to keep the moisture out.

I really challenged it when my husband and I got caught in a downpour on a long bike ride. My phone was fine and his got wet and he had trouble charging it when we got home. He immediately ordered one for his phone.

The fit on his phone was fine even though he doesn’t have the SP connect case. My one small quibble is that the case muffles the sound on my phone.

Fits phone very snugly. Buttons easy to press. Face ID works and screen is mostly responsive to touch. Pattern of raised clear dots keeps cover raised off of phone touch screen for clarity and can only been seen when looking at white screen.

There are no holes for side buttons, ear speaker or microphone or for charging. Qi wireless charging doesn’t work through SP Connect case. Still happy with the purchase. It will keep phone dry and that is the purpose.

Easy to put in and take off before and after use in wet, or dusty weather.

Two things, love the SP case and mounting system. This rain weather cover traps water even in light rain. I had one S21 ruined, got the dreaded wet warning with access to USB charging blocked. My second phone was saved as I tried the case again and spotted water build up.

Still got the warning on the phone but fortunately it dried out. Most phones shed light rain well, you’re better off without this cover or placement of you phone elsewhere if things get really wet. I might just remove some material or punch so holes in the bottom or corners to stop water from pooling in the case.

I have used this case for 6 months along with a brand new phone. This phone case looks good with a pretty good amount of protection and has survived a handful of drops no worries. Design wise, although thin, the lip for the back cameras kind of ignores the whole “symmetry” the case was going for, which isn’t a dealbreaker and can help avoid scratching and/or damaging the back of the phone when putting it down but personally this has lead me to putting my phone down face first (I prefer my phone to sit flush).

Personal opinion out of the way, the quality and fit of the case isn’t worth the money. The phone case is slightly too large for the phone, at least mine was. It didn’t fall out or anything, but dust, dirt and other small debris easily made it’s way into the case resulting in small chips and micro-scratches, which is not good if you have a plan where you can trade up phones if the phone is in perfect condition.

There is way too many marks on my phone for a phone that has lived in this case since I’ve had it. If that wasn’t a deal breaker, the soft plastic around the volume buttons and charger port have stretched and separated from the hard shell, which is not only annoying and ugly but now offers less protection.

I’d expect this from a much cheaper phone case. Otterbox is usually pretty good. Short term this phone case is alright, long term or with heavy use I would probably look for another case.

I bought this item to use when kayaking and it does what it says. You can use the touchscreen through the bag but the volume and on / off buttons are not easily accessible but given that you are not likely to need to use them on the water I can live with that.

The window in the bag allows you to use the camera for photos and video but you need to make sure both the camera lens and the bag window is clean for the best quality photos and video. You need to make sure that the clip is properly aligned and the toggles are fully locked to ensure a waterproof seal, and keep it away from sharp objects like your filleting knife if you are fishing as its easily punctured.

The lanyard also helps to tie it to a pad eye or deck bungee so you don’t lose it if you capsize. Overall a good investment and used within its desgn brief it is perfect for my use of it.

I bought this waterproof case and am happy that I did. It works exactly as advertised. I like that you can use your phone while it is in the case. It’s not ideal for making calls with the phone in the case, but you can do other functions such as texting.

I own a panasonic HVX200 and a canon 7D. Underwater casings for these cameras would cost thousands. For under 30 bucks, I purchased this aqua pac and filmed my entire beach vacation in the water and on the sand.

I was still able to use the touch screen and make calls through the aqua pac. I converted the iPhone clips to an HD size that will fit the aspect ratios of both my HVX and 7D. The quality looks great and has a unique look.

I have had this aquapac for about a year now and use it when I am by the lake for those splashes and maybe being caught in the rain on the dock. We have also used it while camping, fishing, and kayaking.

Yesterday, while transferring into my kayaking, I dropped the aquapac with my iPhone in it into the lake off the dock. After 5 minutes of searching the lake bottom, I found it 7 feet down. I took it to land and was pleased to find that my phone took on no water and still works perfectly! Definitely worth the money.

We will be getting a second one for my wife.

My iPhone SE works GREAT through this case and I have confidence in the drop protection that my new OtterBOX provides. The workmanship is perfection. The grip texture around the edge is great for dry, slippery fingers.

However, the camo backing is not nearly so “sticky. ” The fingerprint verification on the home button of the SE requires, apparently, that the button be in direct contact with my finger, so there is a hole in the case to permit that.

If I spill a tidal wave of coffee directly on the front of my phone, the phone may not fare well. Finally, and this may be intentional, despite the fluorescent orange color of the shell, the phone does not reflect much light, and so does not appear in very low light conditions when my 8-year-old OtterBOX case is easy to see.

All in all, I love my Otter BOX, and my iPhone SE.

I bought the original case for the iPhone 5 and the circle button on the front bottom was covered and used with a rubberized protector. I used my warranty to get a new one and they sent me the universal one (I think) for the iPhone 5/5s, and this one is not as good.

First off the center button is now exposed (for use with the 5s fingerprint thing) thus dust gest under the screen protector (making it a joke now) all the time. All that trapped dirt can scratch your screen but I have a protector on my actual screen to avoid this.

Secondly, this new universal box dose not fit as tight as the original one with the enclosed bottom portion. What this does is makes the user have to push a little harder on the bottom half of the screen.

You can also feel it moving (poping) up and down – really annoying when texting. While this case does its overall job of protecting the phone, the original case was much better and should still be an option to those who have the original iPhone 5.

Overall this is a pretty good case. I had a Defender on my iPhone 4s so I naturally bought one when I upgraded to a 5s. It offers pretty good overall protection in regards to impacts and normal wear and tear.

The one real drawback is the opening for the home button/fingerprint reader. The screen protector goes around it but does not cover it. It is just a hole cut out of the screen protector. This hole allows dirt particals and dust into it and onto your screen.

I have had this phone and case for maybe 2 weeks and I amalready gettign little marks on my screen and the screen protector around this opening. I have a feeling I am going to have to keep taking this case apart (and wear out the silicone covering) every couple weeks to keep my screen from getting all scratched up.

Kind of a bummer really. I need a case that will keep dust and dirt off of my phone better than this. Seems like a fairly obvious issue with a case of this caliber and price.

As the title may suggest, yes in my opinion, this case is pretty much life proof. I can’t tell you how many times I drop/fling/throw my phone either on my hardwood floor, or on the pavement outside. The condition of my phone never degrades.

I’ve never cracked my screen, even after dropping my phone screen first onto the floor multiple times. I do a lot of labor at my job, and it’s important for me to keep my phone on me, so I wouldn’t choose any other case other than the Defender.

I’m not going to lie, I bought this case when I bought my phone, and that was over 3 years ago, this case has seen better days. But it’s still intact and still saving my phone from the everyday destruction.

Today though, I really saw how well built this case was, especially the plastic screen protector. While at work, I very clumsily dropped my phone into a full bucket of water. It was completely submerged for at least 10 seconds before I could grab it out of there.

I thought that was it, thought it was finally time to upgrade. After ripping the case off and drying everything off, I pressed my home button, and my wallpaper and everything else lit up just like it always has.

I am quite careful and protective of my phone. First, the fasteners for hard shell broke. Both the polycarbonate hard and rubber shells soon cracked and came apart. The first rubber piece to come off was the protective tab for the re-charging port.

The integrated screen protector is low quality, makes keys and clicks hard to do, and was soon annoyingly scratched impairing the view of the screen. The dust and lint protection simply does not exist.

Needed taken apart and cleaned almost daily and fasteners did not hold up past about two or three times of that. Try again Otterbox!.

I’m a kayak fisherman on the St. Johns River in North Florida. Recently, coming back to shore, I stopped to chat with a guy on a sailboat anchored in shallow water. I turned and my iPhone, attached to my belt with an Otterbox Defender worked its way off my belt and into the water.

The guy saw it and immediately jumped into the water. We fished for it for about 5 minutes and found it. The phone still worked. I powered down, went home, took it out of the case and put it immediately in a bag of rice.

After a couple of days I took it to one of these phone-fix-it places. The guy opened the phone and told me that none of the water marks turned pink. He was amazed as was I. The case made the difference.

The phone still works fine with no residual effects. The Defender ROCKS! The case isn’t advertised as waterproof, but it saved the day. I keep my phone in a zip lock bag now when I fish. Great case!.

Take care when inserting and removing your phone. If you have a case on your phone the opportunity to split the seam by the ziplock seal is very real. You can keep your case on — just be mindful how big your fingers are as you stretch the mouth of the case.

Given that the throat is then folded over several times, your phone is certainly safe by water, but I’d not intentionally bring it underwater after a split develops.

Good for submerging in the water without worrying for your phone to get wet. I jumped hard into the water and the phone remained dry and without any problem because of the impact. The button to start the camera on doesn’t work if you are under the water, you have to do it before diving.

Just to keep in mind, if you want to take photos out of the water, the quality of them are not the best because of the reflection of the sun against the cover.

This DiCAPac case for the iphone works great. First things first, make sure to test it out without the phone inside to check for leakage. Mine was perfect. Bought this to take underwater video shots and surf clips.

I used it during heavy surf and its fully durable, just remember not to drop it. Video quality is unaffected but audio distortion depending on how you hold it. Overall, worth the price.

I used this several times during a week long trip swimming in the ocean. It fit my Samsung Galaxy S10e perfectly. Anything larger wouldn’t actually fit such as the wife’s Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The perfectly clear front and back made about 95% of photos and video turn out well.

The included strap provided a secure way to take my phone into the ocean and not worry about it being compromised in some way. Excellent product for the price.
