Love the book! It was in brand new condition and it is a perfect complement to my insta pot. Simple recipes and alot of useful info about the use of Indian spices and specific functions of the insta pot.

I’ve wanted to expand my Instant Pot meal repertoire and I love Indian food, so this cookbook is a great addition to my shelf. It has a good variety of recipes, most seem easy to make, and the photos are helpful.

I agree with Ella. If you have a pup who’s sensitive to beef or chicken, this product is the best go to! I’ve switched my boy quite a few times either because the food he was on was too pricey, he was allergic, or the food became hard to come by during the pandemic.

When I originally adopted my boy and he rescued me, he was on Royal Canian and his stool was incredibly loose so I knew right away to switch him. I switched him to his fur brother’s food which he did very well with but Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison became difficult to come by during the pandemic.

Even Chewy didn’t have the food for a while as the Natural Balance company stopped production. So had to switch him again. After much research I switched my boy over to TOTW High Prarie Bison and Sweet Potato.

He loved it and I read the bag to make sure there was no beef or chicken in the ingredients prior to buying. Originally there wasn’t but by the time he went through his second bag I started noticing that my boy was itching alot.

At first I thought it was an environmental change but then after the fourth bag I had enough and decided to re- read the ingredients just to see if maybe they changed. To my surprise they did and now the product had chicken by products, chicken meal, beef by products, and lasly beef meal.

I’m not sure which he’s allergic to so I decided to stay with TOTW but switch the flavor since he loved the brand so much and would clean his bowl to the point where it’s shiny again. After doing research again I was hoping there was a flavor that my boy would like but didn’t have chicken or beef by products or meal.

Came across this flavor and was hesitant at first as I’ve read that sometimes when dogs eat dog food that is fish flavored, they start smelling like fish. My medium size pup sleeps with me in my bed so the last thing I want to do is sleep in a bed that smells like fish lol.

Thankfully this is not the case and ever since switching him over, he’s been itch free for the most part, his skin is not as dry or let alone it’s not even flakey anymore, he constantly gets complimented on his brindle coat being so shiny when seen from afar and then when he’s pet by people they immediately compliment how soft his coat is.

I couldn’t be more satisfied and I like that I am saving some money in a way of investing in the 28lb bag at $49-52 that will last me 2 months verses a 14lb bag at $31-32 that only lasts a month. I agree though that it would be nice if the bags were resealable especially with how convenient it would be when switching over a pup.

I had to buy two containers when switching my boy over from the High Prarie to the Pacific Stream. Other than that definitely a great go to product if you have a food sensitive pup :)!.

We discovered TOTW years ago when we rescued a husky/malamute mix that wS an extremely picky eater. We went through so many different brands of dog food, I lost count. With some of them, he would eat certain pieces out of the bowl, but pick around and leave behind other pieces.

Other brands, he snubbed completely. And the brands that he ate parts of, our other 2 dogs wanted nothing to do with. Then we discovered TOTW. We found it on a list of the best 10 dog foods that were available at the time.

We tried a few of the others without success. Our dogs didn’t like them. but when we got TOTW, the dogs loved it! They all ate it enthusiastically! And since then, it’s all we have fed our dogs. We have had quite a few.

a beagle mix, a pit/retriever mix, 2 husky/malamute mixes, 2 husky/foxhound mixes, 2 GSD’s, 2 havanese, a golden doodle and a white husky. All have loved this food. I think that part of the reason is the smaller size pieces that the kibble comes in.

It’s been my experience that even with the larger dogs, they don’t like the big chunks of food. They prefer the smaller pieces. Maybe that’s why we always find them eating the cat food, huh? Think about it! As for me, I order 3 different flavors at a time and then mix it in my dog food bin.

My dogs love it! And up to this point, I have yet to find any dog that hasn’t liked it.

A friend recommended this food since she’s had her dogs on it for years. My 7 year old mini-poodle/terrier mix has had a problem with tearing eyes that would be rust colored when wet, but dark brown when dried and it would stain his pretty fur.

The tears were always very goopy and when they dried they would get crusty and mat into his fur. Always a pain to clean for both me and him. So my friend promised me that if I switched him to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream the tear stains would improve after a while.

She said it HAS TO BE the Pacific Stream flavor to do the trick and but I should notice improvement after a couple of bags. And she was absolutely right! Sammy’s eyes are definitely improving. They still tear, but not near as much and the tears are not rusty anymore and are much easier to clean with a warm washcloth.

His fur seems shinier and he’s not licking at his feet as much. I think he might have a slight allergy to chicken now that he’s been off of it for a while. Super thrilled with this food, and Sammy seems to like it! Eats every single kibble in his bowl every day :).

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this frozen meal so much, but I love how it has three separate parts–the rice, the dal, and the vegetable korma, so you get a variety of flavors and textures. I added a little dollop of plain Greek yogurt to give a little coolness to balance the flavors, but it wasn’t entirely necessary.

I would buy again!.

I love the Amy meals!! First time trying this one. It was good but not my fav! Ate the whole meal but will not buy again. It was still very good though and nothing was wrong with it! Just was not my regular taste.

This is actually one of my go to Meals! Surprisingly enough Amy’s kitchen makes really really good Indian food. And I used to be in a Indian restaurant being a chef for numerous years. So when I’m hungry and I don’t feel like cooking this is the meal I choose.

I like everything about this product everything is natural and organic. I actually live very close to where they make these meals. I would recommend anybody Go and try these meals to go out and try some.

I’m not a fan of every single one of them but this particular meals one of my favorites.

I love most all of the food products in this brand. when I first opened the pouch, it just did not look appetizing to me but after heating it up and tasting it; I was so surprised. It is quick and easy when you need a meal without much effort.

I prepared my favorite red quinoa, heat up the contents of this pouch; then I make lettuce wraps adding the pouch contents with quinoa or rice; then adding other things like green chiles, hot sauces to spice it up even more.

You can add beans or anything that you like and make 2 to 3 meals out of the pouch keeping it refrigerated and it remains good easily for at least 3 days. Use your imagination in combing your favorite toppings.

DELICIOUS! My family loves Indian food, but it’s very expensive to order delivery. I tried this with the Uncle Ben’s quick Basmati rice, stamed broccoli and naan bread from my local Walmart. The hardest part was cutting the chicken.

not very hard. Took me 30 minutes from start to finish and soooo tasty! If you like Indian food, I highly recommend!.

I am really impressed, and so was my family, with the flavor of this Street Kitchen Coconut Chicken Curry Indian Scratch Kit. We sauteed chicken, broccoli, and snap peas in this sauce kit with all the right seasonings, and then topped our dish with toasted coconut and chopped cashews, and my family flipped.

I’d never tried these kits before, and now I can’t imagine stir frying without them. I’ll be sampling all of them soon, but this one in particular brought all the warm, hint of curry, spicy flavor to our meal.

After trying a different flavor by the same company and finding it excellent we decided tonight to give this one a try. I am not as big a curry fan as my wife, but this was very tasty and not overly spicy.

Directions were very simple and clear. We use Tyson Chicken Breast Tenderloins to make dicing a little simpler. The rice was done in our Instant Pot. Now this makes two home runs for us with this brand.

And the price is so reasonable. BTW – we added sugar snap peas to the dish for the last five minutes – wasn’t called for but we liked the addition.

I usually write negative reviews, so here is a positive one. This is a great flatbread. It’s better than many other factory-made flatbreads. Now, I do note that you should always toast it or heat it up on a skillet or something like that.

That’s pretty much true of all factory-made flatbread in my experience, so there’s nothing unusual with this Sam’s version. Eating it straight out of the bad is definitely not as good, so just don’t do it! One negative review here said that it was thin.

Really? Aren’t flatbreads usually around this thickness? Seems fine to me. This bread is better than most sliced factory bread (like Mrs Baird’s white bread), which are often underproofed in comparison.

It’s probably because you don’t need as long as a proof time for flatbread.

This Naan is absolutely amazing! We make the best BLT sandwiches, grilled pizza, Greek sandwiches with this bread! Put a little butter on flat side and put in skillet to warm up and use to dip win spinach artichoke or tzatziki sauce! Heat up and make amazing sandwiches.

endless possibilities! We store in pantry for about a week but keep mostly in freezer. Take out a slice and throw it in the microwave a few seconds to de-thaw before using! So easy!!! We always have multiple packages of this on hand!.

Unfortunately this stuff is GREAT. I say that because you will get hooked on it. I often eat it in place of bread, buns, etc. My wife however did not seem to like it much. Two weeks ago, I noticed the toaster plugged up and thought about the Naan.

I cut it down to size and dropped it in the toaster just like bread. It’s hard to explain the resulting texture, but kind of a rigid, but soft bread, a great option from normal toast. The funny thing was that my wife loved it that way, and now I will have to buy more of it.

I made curried tuna fish and it came out just right for me. I don’t like hot Curry and this is mild. I even added a little more than the 1/2 tsp the recipe called for and it was not too hot. I love Curry and I love Curry tuna fish.

One ounce size of McCormick Curry powder was almost $4 at the local grocer. I got 16 ounces for less than $20. Great bargain. even after $3 shipping! Took almost a week to get to me though so don’t be in a hurry to get it.

This curry blend of spices is great for a cold curry chicken salad. This is not the Jamaican curry blend.

I tried out these beans as part of a meal of tacos & chips with family so we could all give this product from A Dozen Cousins a try. After we all tasted the beans–both on their own and with tortilla chips, here is our assessment: I’m used to dry/dehydrated stuff from REI for camping, so it seemed a little weird to start with a “wet” package.

Not something I’d put in a backpack–both because of the weight and because I’d worry it would puncture and spill bean goop all over my gear. So I assume this is meant as a home or car-camping food. That said, it was easy to pour the beans and juices out into a pan for heating.

Once the beans were warmed through, the word my wife used was “gooey”. After just moderate heating the beans took on the consistency of refried pinto beans, which is probably ok but not what we were expecting.

Certainly not what appears on the package. The immediate taste was fine–just beans with a little bit of spices to make them palatable and interesting. But my wife and I both noticed a strange metallic aftertaste–like what you get when you eat canned fruit that’s been in the can for too long.

My wife thought it was the spices–not the beans themselves–lending that metallic taste. Nevertheless, they just tasted a bit “off”. My kids also took one taste each and gave it the “wrinkled nose” of mild youthful disapproval.

We all agreed that if we were eating this on Day 3 of a backpacking trip mixed with other camping foods when we are way less picky, then this would probably have been fine. But like I wrote above, I wouldn’t backpack with this due to the impracticality so that point is moot.

Overall, I just didn’t feel like these beans checked any boxes for me as either an outdoor or indoor food.

Prior to tearing into this, I was wracking my brain to think about what I could throw into the beans to make them taste good. I guess I was expected something along the lines of bland, overly-salted and otherwise unseasoned or poorly seasoned beans, but when I actually heated these up and tried them, I thought they were great.

They were a bit salty, which may put some people off. I’m definitely a bit of a salt fiend, so they were fine for me. The other seasonings came through pretty good as well, maybe some onion or garlic or something.

I think these would awesome thrown onto a tortilla and a couple of other ingredients (eggs, fritos, cheese, cilantro, sour cream, whatever floats your boat). Having said that, I ate most of mine just as they came out of the packet.

Only reason I gave this four stars is the weight and its overall purpose, which kind of confuses me. I think my packet was 10oz, which seems too heavy to be practical for backpacking. But if I’m car camping, I’ll just grab a can of beans and bring along spices and other ingredients that won’t cost as much.

Having said that, if you don’t mind a little extra weight and just want something to quickly throw in your bag for a short backpacking trip or want something ready to eat that tastes pretty good right out of the packet, this fits the bill.

One other quick note, when you feel the pouch, it might feel like it’s mostly water content, but it’s not. There is some liquid inside, but the majority of the contents were beans – was definitely a bit surprised by that given how the pouch felt when I picked it up and shook up the contents.

I have a very picky eater, but we have found success with the Taste of the Wild Ancient Grains flavors. Any time she eats breakfast before noon, we call that a success. She used to eat breakfast between 3:00 and 4:30 p.

m. and dinner between 8:30 and 9 p. m. She just didn’t like her food and was only eating because she was giving in to hunger. I don’t want to feed my dog something that she doesn’t really like. Since switching to Taste of the Wild, she has been eating much better.

Right now, she’s been eating the Prairie flavor in the morning and the Wetlands or Mountain flavor for dinner. We found that switching the flavors around with her is what works best. She seems to get bored with a flavor after just 2 or 3 days.

Luckily, she has no problem with switching flavors and it keeps her motivated to eat. I use two bowls and put out both flavors in the morning. She chooses which one she wants to eat and finishes that bowl.

She gets lots of praise and a special treat for finishing a bowl, so she comes to me to tell me she’s “all done. ” She usually eats her dinner while we are eating ours. Something about seeing us eat motivates her to eat too.

She gets another special treat and lots of praise when she finishes that bowl. I am a member of a group of dog enthusiasts that have the same breed that we have and this brand was highly recommended by several members who also have very picky eaters.

(It seems this brand either has picky eaters or gobblers – nothing in between!) I prefer to buy from Chewy because I’ve heard of brand-switching going on with some offers on other online places and showing close up of the bags, you could tell the printing was not right.

When opened, the dog food was obviously different shape and color. I didn’t buy it, but I saw the images. There was not doubt. With Chewy, I don’t have to worry about my dog getting a knock-off inferior dog food.

Getting it delivered to my door is a big plus.

Perfect for our Shih Tzu! We found out our 7yo Shih Tzu might have an enlarged heart during a cancer scare earlier this year. While the jury’s still out on the effects of foods containing peas, legumes, and sweet potatoes on dog hearts, I decided to remove them from her diet just to be safe.

We love the quality of Taste of the Wild, so I wanted to stick with the brand. After doing some research, the Ancient Wetlands seemed to meet all her nutritional requirements. Taste of the Wild was nice enough to send out two sample bags for us to try before committing, and she seems to like it more than their small breed formula we were giving her before.

Also happy about the glucosamine and other extras, as she’s getting older and would have likely needed some kind of supplementation in that area before long anyway. And if anyone else is thinking about switching to this from the small breed and is curious about the size, it’s only slightly larger; it’s still about the size of an aspirin.

Our 60lb rescue has been eating Taste of the Wild since we got him 2 years ago and we are very pleased with this brand! We started him off on the grain-free recipe at first but switched to the ancient grains line because he kept having loose stools.

Our vet also warned us that grain-free isn’t good for most dogs. After switching to ancient grains, our pup hasn’t had any problems! He’s quite a picky eater but he loves this recipe! Everyone has always commented on how soft and silky his coat is and I have to give credit to Taste of the Wild.

I did extensive research about the brand before choosing them and truly could not find a dog food that is better. Ingredients are all very high quality, well-sourced, and mixed in the correct ratios for a healthy dog.

Make sure you look at the recipes carefully when selecting though because some flavors have lower protein content than others. I highly recommend this brand and the ancient wetlands recipe! You can’t beat this quality at this price!.

I was in search of a great formula for my new Coton De Tulear puppies. They have sensitive stomachs and high fat foods easily irritate their system and make them sick. However, they do need fat in their diet.

Duck made them sick. Chicken gave them the runs. Not very interested in turkey. Really like fish, but the fish formula made their eyes weep with that gooey brown stuff (my dogs’ faces are white). This LAMB formula with blueberries was a hit! They loved the food! Their stomachs are happy, stools are solid and normal, no gooey brown weeping from eyes and this LAMB formula contains needed fat for their growth and health, but it is not irritating to their system.

Different breeds have different tolerances, but if you have a breed that is in the Coton De Tulear family, and have been searching for a food that really works for them. this may be it. The wet food in same flavor also sits well on their stomach.

I only give wet food as a treat on occasion for breakfast. NOTE: This lamb blueberry review is NOT for the lamb, blueberry with pumpkin. That is a different formula. This is for ancestral grain lamb & blueberry only.

switched my dalmatian from diamond naturals chicken and rice (which is a generally ok food, very middle tier and what she was eating when i adopted her) to this one and i’ve noticed a difference! i know kibble isn’t the best in terms of what dogs need, but this is a great base with good, appropriate ingredients that i can add other stuff to! it seems less dry and burnt than some other brands, and the pieces of kibble absorb liquid better than the diamond too, which is good since i mix her kibble with water.

the kibble itself has bigger pieces than the diamond so you need less overall to feed the same dog, so the price really isn’t as huge of a difference as it seems. the biggest change is her poop. no more smelly sticky ones but firmer and less gross over all, which is what prompted me to change her food in the first place! plus, i try to keep her on a lower purine diet which means mostly chicken as protein, and this formula fits the bill! it’s made in italy too so the quality is way way higher than anything made in the states, obv.

I have bought these elsewhere for years. I was so surprised when I had it the first time because it was really good. It tastes similar to chili. I put it over rice which I get in one serving sizes. It only takes 60 seconds to heat this up in the microwave.

The rice I get takes 90 seconds and voila! dinner. Very yummy.

I often buy Tasty Bite products at other grocery stores and was so happy to find the Madras Lentils at Sam’s. I’ve already bought these twice and hope they are a permanent addition to the store. We often eat it with rice, like other reviewers.

These packets are so easy to heat up and are DELICIOUS!!! Super versatile too. I’ve used them for chili cheese fries, nachos and even topped enchiladas with these lentils! Highly recommend and I hope they keep them around for a while!.

Thanks PinchMe for my free full sized Product to try. I made Grilled Paneer Tikka Masala with it. I cubed the Paneer in big chunks and marinaed in som e salt Cayanne pepper and turmeric and then with a little oilve oil, I grilled it.

Next I heated the sauce for that I first put some olive oil in a pan and sautéed some Crushed Garlic and Ginger. Pout 1/4 cup of sauce and then Grilled Paneer cubes and let it simmer. Finsihed it with chopped Cilantro and served it on a bed of basmati rice and a piece of naan.

It was delicious. The Suace is very creamy and hearty and I could see some chuncksof tomatoes. The sauce is Gluten free which is great since some of my friends do Gluten free diet. It has cream and yogurt so it is not a Vegan but good for my family since we do consume lots of dairy products like creama do yogurt and milk We are Vegetarians so I’ll be making this with Mixed Vegetables next.

It could have been a little spicier but overall taste and the texture was great. I loved the color also it had the right redness that I love. It would be perfect if we get unexpected guests. We can quickly make some thing.

I absolutely loved it and I would be using this sauce a lot and I would recommend it to others too. These are endless possibilites with this sauce. You can put cubed roasted potatoes in the suace. Open a bag of mixed vegetables and add to this sauce.

egg eating people can boil eggs and add to this simmer sauce. I would also love to try grilled eggplant pieces and add to the simmer sauce. Thanks Patak’s for this awesomne sauce. Since I had never tried it before so I was obviously skeptical but not any more.

Lovely product.

We love the northern Indian cuisine found in most Indian restaurants. Chicken tikka is bone in chicken pieces marinated in yogurt and spices (and a pinch of red food coloring) and cooked in a tandoori oven.

Often times, left over chicken tikka is deboned, chopped, and added to any number of sauces, chicken tikka masala or chicken makhani (butter chicken) in particular. The chicken tikka masala (masala just means spice mix) in restaurants is usually creamy and not chunky.

Heat level of the masala is dependent on the request of the guest. This sauce right out of the jar almost reminds me of salsa. I managed to make it palatable for my husband by adding heavy whipping cream, butter, and quite a bit of SWAD brand madras curry powder I already had on hand.

He declared it just as good as something he’d ordered in our favorite Indian restaurant. Over all, I’m not disappointed with the result and I will buy this brand again. It’s not surprising that it wasn’t a simple heat and eat sauce.

Uses (in no particular order) are: You can keep kitty litter fresh clean so you don’t have to buy expensive odor control stuff that uses baking soda anyways. You can use this in your DIY laundry detergent or add it directly to water as wash load starts for a booster.

You CAN use this stuff in small amounts as an antacid, which was one of its original purposes. You can make a paste out of it to use as grout cleaner, a natural toothpaste, a natural poison extraction remedy, or to lift off rust stains even.

I keep a box in my refrigerator for odor control. I add baking soda to my soaps that get used on my hands body to increase the grit to help aid removing dead skin cells. My all time favorite use for baking soda truly is cleaning stainless steel sinks and then following that up with POURING baking soda down my drain with the all infamous fizz of adding vinegar.

Makes my drain pipes stink MUCH less helps pass the odors food remnants down the pipe line more.

I hate hate hate cleaning the grill grates on our barbecue. No matter what I do, there is always gunk left over after I use every single ounce of energy scrubbing them. So this year I tried a brand new method using an ARM & HAMMER baking soda and water paste.

I applied the paste to the grill grates and waited about 30 minutes. Then I scrubbed them almost effortlessly using a crumpled-up ball of aluminum foil! A simple rinse off with the hose, and those grates were nearly gleaming like new! I couldn’t believe the ease of this simple trick, and I feel like a fool for struggling for so many years! Going forward, I am going to be doing a lot of research on how to ‘life hack’ using ARM & HAMMER baking soda.

I love using Arm Hammer baking soda for a variety of things. My favorite use is in my laundry. I buy the 3. 5LB bag about every 2 weeks. It helps freshen and brighten our clothes and linens. My Husband wears white undershirts and it’s hard to keep them white because of how much he sweats at work.

Since I started using this baking soda, his shirts look practically new now and do not smell like that horrible sweat smell that’s so hard to remove. It did take a few times using this to get that sweat smell out, but with consistent use, it will work.

I use it in every load. I also use this for other cleaning purposes, like cleaning my filters, etc. In my vacuum cleaner. No more terrible smells coming from the vacuum! It’s just a great, all purpose deodorizer and stain remover!.

I was really curious how this would turn out – and it was amazingly good. People need to stop comparing it to grandma’s version — for crying out loud! This is a freeze dried meal, ok??! When I have it, it’s bone-sticking hearty and good.

I think it’s all about water amount control. I’ve had the MH beef stew more than any other of their meals — and most of the times it turns out perfect, but on occasion it turns out soupy and terrible because of it.

My guess is that some packs just don’t get filled enough and then when you add the instructed amount of water, it’s just too much in those instances. So having learned this lesson, I’ve resorted to putting in about 3/4 of the instructed amount of boiling hot water, and stirring it up well.

From there I just eyeball it and add water a little by little to get it to the right looking texture. The seal it and wait. Have some more hot water boiling in case when you open the package to stir a second time and it looks too dry.

Add more boiling water but by bit as needed. This is how I do it now, with better results. Less common I think is where there’s just too much filling — the very first MG meal I had was this way — I used the right amount of water, but it waa a super dry lump of unappetizing dough-lime mass.

Threw it away. But I had bought two of the same pack (Southwestern Skillet), and later I tried it again, but this time added a LOT more water than the instructions and — it turned out really good.

The flavor of this dish is pretty good. The potatoes taste like they were browned before the freeze drying process. The sausage is slightly above average as far as breakfast sausage goes. We always add black pepper.

Sometimes we add a little salt. A packet or two of Tapatio, Tabasco or Cholua always contributes to the dish. Preparation considerations: We add the salt and pepper before we add water. We cut the biggest chunks of egg, sausage and potato in half or thirds so they have more surface area exposed to water to facilitate re-hydrating.

After we add hot water and seal the bag, we fold over the top and wrap insulation around it to keep it hot longer. We stir it half way through soaking. We also let it sit 5-10 minutes longer than the instructions say.

Everything is re-hydrated thoroughly with this method.

5 years ago I purchased a variety of preserved foods with the intent of storing them for 5 years, then trialing to see which options preserved best for our hurricane kits. At this point I was new to living in the south’s hot humid environment.

We purchased a box of mountain house #10 cans that included this beef stroganoff, lasagna, chili Mac. and I don’t remember what else. We also purchased emergency essentials 4 person 72 hour kit and emergency essentials #10 cans.

Aside from a brief move across town and 5 days without power post hurricane Irma all items mentioned were kept in an AC controlled environment. After 5 years of storage we opened to evaluate. All items were edible, but the mountain house cans were the only items that had preserved good taste.

They really were quite good! Each flavor! Thank you mountain house for making an excellent product!.

5-lb Pomeranian and Yuki my 5-yr old, 125-lb Great Pyrenees Covid19 rescue. I use roughly 2-table spoons in the morning to mix the crushed Dasuquin tablets for my giant baby girl who won’t chew the chewables (sigh) and sometimes if I need to give her other meds.

I use about that much of the canned food twice daily to mix with crushed/ blended kibble for the mostly toothless, elderly Pomeranian man Milo. The Homestyle Fish & Sweet Potato is the Pomeranian’s favorite while the Homestyle Lamb is the Pyr’s favorite.

They both love the Wilderness Duck as a close second. Having a hard time getting the Lamb right now (supply chain maybe ?????) as no one seems to have it. The BB Homestyle are a solid nutritional can food with quality ingredients.

The pate style food has chunks of vegetables and other visible ingredients. It must be tasty as it is great for mixing in meds if need be as the dogs really like the food so they gobble it up even if they can smell their medications :).

Can’t find this specific brand or “flavor” in our local store, very nice when it can be ordered online for shipping within a few days. Our 5 year old rescue Shih Tzu refuses to eat dry kibble, she started refusing mixed in wet food with her kibble.

After many different brands of wet food over the course of a few months, we finally found one she likes and will consistently eat. The smell isn’t bad (to humans), she loves it. It’s healthier for her.

Can really see the peas and carrots mixed into the food. She gobbles this up every time and begs for more! Made her coat shiny and soft. Put some weight on her 5lb body and the price isn’t too high compared to other stores.

Win for us!.

I am not a vet and I would caution anyone to consult with one before giving this to a sick dog. This food was a close, inexpensive, alternative to the Kidney Diet my vet recommended. Just over 2 years ago, found a little dog walking down our street brought her in.

After no luck in finding her family, she became ours. She was 10 or 11 with pretty severe kidney issues. Being homeless, she seemed terrified about not having enough to eat and gained weight quickly, causing more health issues a few trips to the vet.

This ended up being a “treat” for all 3 of our dogs and they loved it. Unfortunately, after 2 years, her kidneys gave up but we were so grateful for the time we had. I do think this helped her maintain a healthy kidney function and gave her a comfortable, happy life with us.

Backpacker’s Pantry Kathmandu Curry is pretty good. I wish I rate it higher, but it falls in the midrange along with 80% of other backpacking foods. While the ingredients are are midstream, it does contain better ingredients that many other backpacking dinners.

It is fortunately not loaded with salt, rice, or potatoes like so many. Let me say that I am a passionate cook with a lot of experience with different cultural foods, but we all come with experienced taste buds.

Where the Katmandu Curry loses stars is in the somewhat bland flavor compared to any regular well formulated/prepared curry. Our taste buds should not automatically have to take several steps down in expectation just because we are going backpacking.

This is unfortunately standard in the marketplace though. That is not saying that you couldn’t improve its overall culinary experience by carrying your own favorite flavor extras to add to it and improve it, but we don’t expect to have to do that with a meal we already paid for.

It is better than many, but Backpackers Pantry could make it taste more like a good curry without much effort.

Being a fan of a good curry, I was pleasantly surprised by the Backpackers Pantry Kathmandu Curry. If you are into curry with a kick, you will love this. Upon opening the bag, I was unable to find the oxygen absorber to remove before adding the boiling water.

That was a bit concerning in terms of quality control. Otherwise, the smell of the product was exotic and surprisingly rich. After the 15 minute preparation time, the first taste proved that the smell was an accurate teaser to the robust, authentic taste.

I would have added less water than the directions called for, as I did not appropriately account for the elevation. My fault, but pay attention, as it matters in the consistency of the curry. The serving size was appropriate.

This product was gluten free and vegan, so highly desirable for me. It should also be noted that it is free from added preservatives and I am surprised that it’s not marketed in that way. It tastes natural, almost as if I made it and dehydrated it on my own.

I started enjoying indian cuisine i think in 2018 thanks to some potluck events in the office. Unfortunately, i don’t know how to cook them still. But this mattar paneer from Amy’s kitchen is good to satisfy my craving! It’s lacto-vegetarian friendly (has milk in the ingredients) and i really enjoy the taste.

Oh and it’a also gluten free by the way. I highly recommend this product!.

This is a vegetarian delight, I can understand why this is a staple in the Indian culture. Each flavor compliments another, then the creamy cheese pops in and it’s WOW hello! I have been a vegetarian (almost vegan) since age 11.

I had no idea of Indian food until I was in my late 20’s thank you too our lovely neighbors who always made the apartments smell so nice! Amys hits it out of the park!.

i dont know how it is possible to do a worse version of this wonderful classic dish. nothing about tasted like mattar paneer. i don’t expect restaurant or homemade quality but i’ve had plenty of frozen versions of this dish that were tasty enough.

shame on you amy’s for making this and shame on me for buying two boxes of this stuff.

I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this frozen meal, but it was surprisingly tasty. I’m always craving saag paneer and palak paneer, but there’s not too many Indian restaurants around me so I don’t get to have it often! This is not something I would’ve purchased for myself normally, as I don’t buy frozen meals 99% of the time, but I’m glad I was able to test this out thanks to Influenster and Deep Indian Kitchen.

The spinach is flavorful, and I didn’t find it to be bitter at all. The rice isn’t soggy and soaks up the sauce well. The paneer was slightly rubbery, but still enjoyable and tasted great. I also thought the portion size was good! I cant see myself eating two of these in a sitting, one is definitely enough.

However, there could stand to be more rice in a package in my opinion. Overall, I will definitely be purchasing this again next time I see it at the grocery store!.

These little crispy pillows felt stuffed with spinach, cheese and rice. I served myself 3 as a meal but I only used half the packet of sauce. I thought the sauce was a little salty so I did not use very much of it.

You definitely have to plan ahead and defrost these in the fridge as the instructions do not apply to a completely frozen paneer. I made them in the air fryer and they were nice and crispy. These felt indulgent but healthy.

I’d love to try the other flavors!!.

I really enjoyed the flavor of this frozen meal. I feel like Indian food is the perfect style of food to be frozen because it still keeps the right texture through the microwaving process. The spinach paneer had a great mild flavor.

The most prominent flavor was coriander. The portion size left me feeling full and satisfied. I wish that they would come out with a spicy paneer dish!.

I’ve only recently discovered this dish and I like to supplement my home cooking occasionally with a frozen meal and they’re usually so terrible but I thought this was great. Sadly from the first time I went to buy it until about 2 weeks later when I thought I would purchase it again today, the price went up 30%.

Not the cost of living index by any means. I’m getting tired of Walmart pushing their cost savings but behind the scenes marking something up this much. Guess I’ll be making my own chicken curry!.

I’m almost afraid to write this review because then everybody will know and it’ll be out of stock more often! Lol This is the best frozen meal I have ever had! (I hate cooking so I eat frozen meals more than I should.

) Do you know how sometimes a frozen meal’s chicken can be pretty gross? Well this is not the case with this particular one. I am obsessed! It is so delicious!.

This is by far the best frozen chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had. The chicken and sauce tasted so fresh. It wasn’t too spicy and didn’t have a horrible taste of preservatives like some other brands.

Creamy delicious sauce and fresh chicken. Will be buying these again. Glad I tried it from a Target circle offer.

My step mom is from Bangladesh and even though this is a frozen dinner, it is probably as close to authentic as you’re going to get from a frozen meal. It’s AMAZING. Very flavorful, and though a little pricey, I always have to get it every time I go grocery shopping.

Plus, the naan is absolutely incredible. Once heated, it is very light and fluffy! I was so surprised when I tried it for the first time! I recommend all of the Sukhi’s cuisine meals.

I don’t usually care for microwave meals, let alone leave a review. But I keep coming back for this one. The chicken was not rubbery like most microwave meals. It was tender and the sauce was very good and flavorful.

Also comes with naan, which is a plus!.

Absolutely fantastic and really surprised me. I add Sriracha and the naan is quality and almost buttery. I want to see them do butter chicken and biriyani.
