Best Hubs For Ipad Pro (2024 Updated)

The Hyper HD319 is just the job for my iPad Pro. It is really neat and fits really securely. It allows me to connect everything I will ever need to my iPad Pro whilst charging and listening through my wired headphones.

Superb.

Good addition to an iPad Pro, a little expensive but then compared to buying the various dongles that it replaces it’s a good deal. Makes transferring imagery from a DSLR much simpler than the various dodgy wifi appsthat Beverlys seem to work as they should.

Product performed well all the ports worked as advertised and the device seamlessly blended in with the iPad. I recommend this USB-C hub.

I bought this to expand the capabilities of my 2020 iPad Air. I’ve purchased Anker products in the past and have been generally pretty happy with them so I was reasonably confident that this item would work well.

I have an Apple Magic Keyboard so my only real pre-purchase concern was fitting this port hub around the edges of that particular accessory. Thankfully, it turned out to fit just fine–although you do need to put the side with the “Anker” brand name facing the screen.

I’ve tried out the USB-C port, the headphone jack and the HDMI port–all work just fine. I have only two minor complaints. First, if you want the iPad to receive current while the Anker hub is attached, you need to use the new higher-powered Apple converter (20w) and a corresponding USB-C/USB-C cord.

The older 12v converters and/or USB-A/USB-C cables won’t work. Second, the attachment of the hub to the iPad is not particularly secure so it has a tendency to pull out if there is any pressure on the hub itself.

With somewhat stiff HDMI cables, this can become an issue. Neither of these is serious or in any way a deal-breaker, but potential purchasers should be aware. Overall–I’m quite happy with this product.

I know Anker has other iPad hubs with cords. But they don’t have aux ports. Please make a corded version of this hub! If that isn’t a problem for you, this hub is great. Pros: • It works as described • Has all the ports I need Cons: • It is designed it with a lip on top and bottom, likely to make it appear more purpose built for the iPad.

Unfortunately this causes it to sit out from the 2021 12. 9″ iPad a bit and the connection is quite loose. • Because it sits snuggly against the iPad, you’re either limited with what cases you can have on your iPad or you have to take your iPad out of the case to use it.

5⭐️: It is essential in that I replaced my laptop with the combination of iPad Pro, the Aluminum Stand & Hub, a Magic Keyboard, an Apple Pencil, and a “hard drive” that now contains all the data I had stored on my Dell.

The Aluminum Stand & Hub brings it all together. it’s like “synergy and synchrony” at my fingertips. How does it all come together without the stand and hub? If Apple was on top of their game, they’d buy you.

As soon as I saw the news that Satechi released the Aluminum Stand & Hub for the iPad Pro, I placed the order immediately before brushing my teeth in the morning. Shipping was fast and I received it through USPS yesterday (less than 48 hours after I placed my order).

I tested all the ports last night and everything works like a charm! The aluminum case makes it feel like something worth more than $100! I was hoping it would also come with space gray color to match with my new 2021 iPad Pro.

The concept is great, but I have 4 main issues; -the plug stores I’ll the bottom and the mechanics of it make it a tight fit. It’s hard to get it out. – the clips that store the cord are sharp and leave indents in the insulation.

– the stand only works in landscape. You can put the iPad in portrait, but the power cord only works in landscape. It would be nice if there was a way of recessing the connector for portrait. – some of the edges are on the sharp side.

I am afraid of tossing the stand in a bag with other things that might get scratched.

I needed a versatile hub to provide additional ports that my MacBook Air did not have. This hub has all of the ports that I was in need of and matched the aesthetics of my laptop, as well! Brilliant, sturdy design that really enhances my laptop’s flexibility and capability.

It has definitely enhanced my ‘user experience’ with my Air! I have only one minor, negative comment to make regarding the design of this hub: If you have a protective hardshell case on your laptop you WILL be able to attach the hub to the two USB-C ports on your laptop BUT not with the removable black magnetic grip attached to the hub (it is an attachment ‘stabilizer’ for the hub).

You’ll still get a firm attachment to the laptop, but not as firmly as you would be able to with the grip attached to the hub. You CAN attach the hub to the laptop when you have a hardshell case on the laptop – and it is very secure – but not ideal if you are in environment where the hub could get ‘bumped’.

Even at its most vulnerable, the hub is very sturdy and well-seated. The black magnetic grip (the removal black plastic piece that you see attached to the hub in the photo) prevents the laptop from being closed completely when you are using the hub without a hardshell case in place.

The solution is to either use the hub without the magnetic grip attached, or, remove the hub when you’re done using it. The magnetic grip stabilizes the hub when it is attached to the laptop but is not necessary for the hub to function.

The USB-C pins on the hub fit snuggly and firmly into the USB-C ports on the laptop. I use my hub without the magnetic grip attached very easily and with confidence. In spite of that observation, this hub gets an easy 5 stars! Very pleased!!.

When I bought my newest MacBook Pro, I wanted to get a quality hub that would make using legacy devices easier, as well as provide me with additional ports for other peripherals. After using it for a little more than a week, here are my thoughts.

First, the good: The hub is well-made, and the packaging and accessories are top-notch; it’s clear that a lot of thought went into the esthetics and design. It has a wealth of ports for my needs, and I especially like the SD Card and MicroSD card slots.

Now the bad, or not so good: the magnet that’s supposed to keep the hub securely attached to the MacBook Pro doesn’t work at all, or if it does, it does so very poorly, and there is significant wobble and lack of relative stability.

Which brings me to my second gripe: The ports are very tight, and removing a peripheral results in removing the entire hub. Every time. Also, the light which tells you that the port is connected and drawing power is on the BACK OF THE HUB, where it can’t be seen! This makes no sense at all! Poor design decision there.

Does it work as advertised? Well, yes and sort of no: while it performs the functions, it could do them better. Unplugging cables from the ultra-tight ports is always an exercise in frustration, as I have to take extra care not to unplug the whole hub.

Also, while well-made, it strikes me as pricey for what it is; this item should NOT cost $100, I think it’s worth perhaps half that much. I’ve thrown away the box (my mistake), so I’ll be keeping this rather expensive peripheral and bear up its shortcomings as best as I can.

Pros: • Made from decent materials (aluminum) mostly. Overall build is good. • Space grey colour match is pretty good (’21 M1 Air) • Decent number of ports given the size Cons: • Pricey when not on sale.

• This gets very warm/hot, even under light usage (internet browsing). • The USB-A ports are very tight, making removing devices/cables near impossible without knocking the device out. • The black plastic spacer makes using clamshell mode impossible on the modern MacBooks this is designed for.

• USB-A ports are in the way off the SD slots. I think if they fixed the heat issue and the USB-A stickiness, it’d be a good product. They should also swap the position of the USB-A ports and the SD slots.

If you bought one of these to transfer files between sd cards or external drives and your phone, and the drive disconnects during a transfer, it needs a bigger power supply. A phone charger isn’t usually enough.

I don’t know exactly what wattage you need, but I know that my 65 watt laptop charger is enough. The order I plug things in matters also, but I’ll leave that to your own experimentation. I use it with my S9 and various cards and drives with good results, as long as it has enough power to supply everything connected to it.

I got this because I needed a USB hub that also charges my phone while I’m using it. I can confirm that it does exactly that. I don’t have to plug anything in an any particular order (like micro ubs ones of the past).

I can plug the hub in, and then the power cord, or have the hub powered and plug it into the phone, either way it charges at over 1A (1. 3 to 1. 5A is typical). My tester has standard USB connections, so on a rapid USB-C to USB-C charger it may actually go beyond that level.

I have not tried the HDMI display, but it does throw a warning on my windows 10 laptop when I plug it in that the display may be limited. That’s fine, I just got it to use on my cell phone for connecting USB ports, the HDMI is more of a bonus.

Very pleased with this purchase. Will buy more uGreen products (Already have some cables in my cart as we speak). I look forward to trying more of their accessories.

My Pixelbook now has normal USB plugs and an external display. I leave the adapter at home and it’s nice to unplug one plug to take the computer to go. Then when back at home, I plug in this one thing and have keyboard, mouse, secondary display, and power all connected.

It does get hot when charging for long periods of time. Not too hot to touch, but almost. I added two 90 degree type-C adapters to it, now it sits behind my laptop, out of site. Sometimes I wish it had audio, ethernet, another HDMI, or more USB ports.

Sometimes I wish it cost less. But the selection of ports is just fine and the price is competitive. After several months of me using it, I can say it has never misbehaved.

I bought this on Amazon thinking that I was going to get what I see in the product images. But I was very disappointed. The 4 USB ports on the hub are reversed so when you plug in something that has a button or an status light, you will not be able to see it because it will be facing the opposite direction.

I’m furious because if you see all the product images in the listing, you will see that it’s not what you actually get. I’m really disappointed with you Anker. I will not recommend or buy your products ever again.

Will this matter to you? Not really. But at least, future customers will be able to be prepared and will know that they will not be getting what you show in the product images.

This works very easy – plug and go & I use it on my iPad Pro to use with the Samson Q2U microphone for podcast and You Tube videos. It’s been about a month since I bought it and so far so good. Wish there’s an option where we can safely unplug the usb cable from iPad, otherwise a great little hub and accessories with iPad Pro, and I mostly uses the USB plug and the audio jack to connect microphone and also for headphone to hear the volume of the microphone.

I recommend buying this USB hub over the one that attaches directly to iPad / tablet as the unit do gets warm and it’s good to have them sit on a table or bench. My only other wish is that I wish the usb hub cable is a little longer so it can sit nicely on a table / bench instead of floating slightly on an angle.

The audio codec on this unit (via the 1/8th inch audio jack) is noticeable worse than my $9 USB-C->Audio dongle from Apple. I bought this hoping for a multi-purpose dock for my iPad Pro, but I can hear the sound difference (I usually can’t hear such things, like different encoding bitrates etc).

Returning. Instead going with a dock from Mokin that has a USB-C data-port so i can use the same dongle. Sounds better.

Good value for the price and the ports I’ve tried so far (HDMI, USB) appear to work as expected. Exterior is aluminum and build quality seems decent. I had assumed this would come with a USB-C wall charger to power the dock.

Without a charger, I still have to have the laptop’s charger plugged in separately, defeating my intent of being able to plug in a single cable and be good to go. I see that UGREEN sells USB-C 100w wall chargers separately starting at $65.

Replaces what Apple eliminated. Makes handling tablet a little different but getting used to it. Fits my iPad Mini6 with Apple’s Smart Folio. The light next to the headphone plug port is a little annoying.

So far, it has a solid connection with the tablet. No wiggle or loose feeling. It charges tablet while using headphones. Have not used USB or HDMI ports.

The HyperDrive Docking Station for Apple iPad Pro’s actual capabilities deliver what the manufacturer claims. However, I have one major issue with this item. When I attach it to my iPad Pro it disconnects my magic keyboard.

I don’t mind the fact that I can’t use the keyboard. What really annoys me is the fact that it force the keyboard case off my iPad so the only way to use this drive is if my iPad is completely unprotected.

That makes the design for me a complete fail!!! If you have the magic keyboard do not buy this docking station.

Nice merge of primary connections in one adapter. I sometimes have difficulty charging when a jump drive is connected. I’m keeping it as I’m not too picky. It’s very rugged and sturdy, yet light weight.

I appreciate not having to dig for/confuse a bunch of other adapters.

With fingers trembling with excitement, I fitted my HyperDrive 6-in-1 USB-C hub to my brand new iPad Pro 12. 9” without any screen protector. I then plugged in a thumb drive (USB-A) to the hub. Nothing.

Swapped it with another drive (USB-C). Nada. Rummaging the rest of the box, I swapped out the thin edge grip thingamajig (for use without a screen protector) for the one with the thicker slot — that worked like a charm.

Added a hard glass screen protector and the wider slot was still able to accommodate the screen protector. My suggestion for the hub is to have a stronger attraction/grip on the iPad USB-C port, even though I know the quick detaching may be to provide a MagSafe-like safety feature.

And perhaps some retooling for the edge grip for use without screen protectors. Or perhaps having only a single width slot but have shims with adhesive strips that can be added or removed to suit screen protectors of different thicknesses.

This thing is really great! has a good selection of ports and, as with any other adaptor used for a one-port device, it’s great being able to plug in multiple things while charging the device. I use this specifically to plug in devices for my mobile iPad-based.

PSA though, unplug this thing when not using! My battery was at 94% this morning and is now at 13% despite not using the device all day. Not the product’s fault, as it makes sense (iPad is reading this thing all day even with nothing plugged in) but just be aware that your battery might drain if you have it plugged in all day.

Works Excellent! The micro SD card slot might not read at times but if you plug into the adapter and use the SD card slot it works absolutely fine. Another thing to note is if you try to access a file directly on the SD card using Files app it will delete the file of your memory card.

It is a glitch with apple file system and I’ve tested this across other USB C hubs as well with same behavior. The product feels very sturdy and comes with its own attachments to suite your needs. I use it with the magic keyboard and plugs right in with the provided “without screen gaurd” attachment and you can basically leave it on without no problems.

All the ports on here do work fine. Haven’t done stress testing yet. It’s definitely pricier compared to the competition but feels like custom tailoring for the ipad justified the price.

I needed a hub that would allow input power to my tablet while simultaneously connected to a USB-A device that requires significant USB bus power. This works perfectly. I can keep my Anker power pack or charging cable connected during use.

Side note – the white circle next to the powered USB-A port lights up when input power is supplied. Confirmation that I’m not draining my tablet. Samsung Tab S6 NESDR Smart / WD Passport. Anker Powercore 10000.

I could not be more disappointed in this product. I needed to connect 2 devices; the way the product is set up, you have to have multiple different adapters for each kind of cord for it to connect. The instructions included in the packaging are completely worthless.

I have spent hours trying to rig something usable up with this because it was stupidly expensive to begin with and I didn’t want to have wasted my money. Look somewhere else, this product is not worth the cost at all.

My biggest disappointment is that I’ve spent so much time trying to make it work that I can’t return it now.

By now I’ve replaced almost all of my charging adapters, including the one in my car, to Anker brand products. I Was searching for a USB-C hub for my new laptop and for the price this one works really well.

My favorite feature is that I can use it to charge my devices and my laptop. I was also impressed by the build quality the construction is rigid and has a premium feel. .

Our old Android Galaxy S10+ had severe screen damage and so you couldn’t unlock or operate the phone. We used this device to Screen Mirror ( don’t use DEX function ) the faulty device so we could use Smart Switch to transfer our info to the new phone.

Plug in the HDMI cable to a TV and this device, Connect your damaged phone to this device via USB-C, connect a USB Mouse ( recent version – not old ) to this device, add power ( if needed ) via another power source to this device ( USB ).

Access the broken phone using mouse and tv screen, open up Smart Switch ( or download and install ) and proceed – use WIFI connection option between the phones, not cable option. Worked a treat and we saved our data from the old phone to the new phone!.

Excellent little device! With a lot more laptops foregoing expansion ports in the name of sleekness, this hub has all the connections you’ll need without adding too much bulk, in fact for what it is it’s quite sleek.

Simple plug and play, a definite winner.

Excellent little hub, designed in Australia. USB-C connection with 4 USB-A 3. 0 outputs with a max speed of 5Gbps. Ideal hub for connecting external devices to a laptop which only has a single USB-C port.

Small enough to fit in a laptop bag or pocket. A bonus is one of the outputs can be used to charge a device (phone or mouse, etc. ).

When my new MBP 13 M1 is downstairs and away from my OWC hub, I nevertheless often want to import raw image files onto it. In addition to the T4 and USB3 ports, this thing has a high-speed SD card slot and the speed of import has to be seen to be believed.

I haven’t used the HDMI output yet, though if I wanted to give a slide show on my large Samsung TV, it will get its chance.

I got it for my new M1 Mac Book air. The USB-C port on the hub let me charge my laptop and leaving 1 port free so I can connect other high speed SSD. Performance on the USB-A is good. And its good to have an HDMI out also.

Price is decent.

I needed a hub for work, and after visiting your name brand stores I decided to purchase this one from Harbor Freights. It was at least 20 dollars cheaper and had the same functions. I’ve used it for 3 weeks without any issues.

I should say that I had to exchange it the day I bought it because the first one did not work, there was an issue with the connector.

Using the product as directed, and a high quality hdmi cord, I put my phone screen onto my 1 yr old 65inch smart TV. Immediately you could see picture but it was very glitchy looking. I unplugged it all.

Turned off my tv. Went to bed. My tv has NEVER TURNED ON SINCE. WELL, IT TURNS ON, BUT NO HOME SCREEN OR VIDEO OF ANY KIND, THRU ANY INPUT. NEVER EVER HAD AB ISSUE UNTIL I PLUGGED THIS DEVICE IN.

Compared to the other prices I’ve seen for this item it’s super affordable! Also it’s super fast and reliable. I’ve never bought a electronic cable from Harbor Freight, but after using this one I’m most definitely buying more! MUST BUY!!.

Apparently every problem with my laptop has been due to this thing. When I plug this device in it makes a hissing noise. I didn’t notice this as I have a desk fan and recently tried it at home where I don’t have said fan.

This indicates there’s a short in the device somewhere. I’ve tried it on my tablet (at great personal risk), my work laptop, and now my personal laptop. All three have the same issues. As the device is running it will create a ton of heat and for some reason cause whatever you have it plugged into to overheat as well.

This has happened with a Mac, a PC and a Samsung Tablet. In the case of my windows laptop I use it for long enough periods of time that it will actually force a shutdown while not leaving records in the Event Viewer (power or BIOS shutting down to keep the processor from melting).

When it is unplugged it will make the same hissing noise. When any device at all is plugged into the device it will get hotter and hotter until it reaches a stable temperature at ‘uncomfortably warm’ (I’ve never measured it).

This is a bit anecdotal, but when I had it plugged in it seemed to make the computer run slower than normal. EX a download of the image editor GIMP took around 30 seconds without it vs it taking 1. 5 mins with.

Neither time was on WiFi. So if this was the cause this thing is messing hard with the motherboard. Unfortunately I didn’t catch that this was the problem as the laptop was one I’d recently gotten and didn’t know how it behaved.

So I’m outside the return policy. I hope I can dissuade some of you from buying this product.

In the past I have always used Dell laptops along with their port replicator docking stations. Place your laptop in the docking station and you have a “desktop computer. ” Dell has moved away from the docking station port replicators so as an alternative I am using the Hyper Drive 9 Port “Docking Station”.

The reality is you are plugging in cables for your peripheral devises such as printers, ethernet cables, external speakers and keyboards mouse & power supply etc. It is a cumbersome replacement for what once was an easy way to convert your laptop into a desktop computer.

It gets the job done with all of the cables plugged into the Hyperdrive “Docking Station” with only one USB-C plugged into the laptop. My Dell XPS laptop comes supplied with a 130 Watt power supply. The Hyperdrive “Docking Station” supplies only 110 watts of power.

My Dell XPS will gives an error message stating the power supply is a slow charger and plug in the factory supplied power supply. Under heavy usage such as Photo or video editing the power supply does not provide enough power and the battery does loose some of it’s charge.

The hyperdrive is a workaround for what once was a great system.

I tested this hub as a cheaper ($50 USD at the time) alternative to the Anker 11-in-1 USB-C hub I had been using in my WFH setup (PC laptop + 2 external displays). The Anker hub had 2 HDMI outputs and supported PD charging which was nice.

This HyperDrive hub had a weird mix of display outputs. Once I found the right mix of display ports (MiniDisplayPort + HDMI + VGA), I discovered that it could not drive two displays at the same time.

Maybe there was some small print somewhere I missed, but I need to drive two displays. This was a dealbreaker for me. I took a chance and am now paying the return shipping.

I originally bought this for my laptop as it has no Ethernet port for some reason, but does have a USB-C port. I got this for the sole purpose of allowing me to go hardwired on the laptop for online gaming.

While USB ports function as expected, the Ethernet port on the hub did not. The white light shows when plugged in to the laptop and taking a known good Ethernet cable (I took it out of my PC temporarily to test), it showed a green connected light and yellow flickering activity light, but the laptop was not reporting any internet access.

Investigating further, I can see “Ethernet” in Network Connections from Windows 10 indicating something is plugged in and active, but this connection says no Internet is available. I’ve tried diagnosing and restarting, but still no connection available.

The only way to get Internet access is to turn on wi-fi. I contacted Tripp-Lite support and they promptly responded, sending me a replacement. However, the replacement functioned exactly like the first one.

No matter what I did, it would not supply the laptop with an Ethernet connection. This is a fine hub for getting more USB ports out of a USB-C. but if you need an internet connection out of it, you’ll be sorely dissappointed.

I’ve been familiar with Tripp-Lite products for about thirty years, so I expected this to be a solid piece of gear. but I expected it to be heavy, which would’ve been a bit hard on the USB port, if it had to hang off the side.

The part of my Ethernet cable that isn’t resting directly on the floor (around 18″) is heavier than this thing, and that isn’t much weight, either. The USB hub I’ve been using is very old–around 20 yrs–so I’ve gotten used to having my USB cables falling out with the least little excuse (why has it taken me so long to do something about it?).

I might have waited even longer, but my new laptop doesn’t have an Ethernet port, and I download large files rather often. This one doesn’t have extra stuff, like video ports, or whatever, but if all you need are an Ethernet port and a few USB ports, I can’t see how you can go wrong.

This costs a little more than some other brands, but quality counts more than price. I highly recommend this device.

I’ve only tested on windows laptops. Initially bought this because my wife’s laptop didn’t have an ethernet port, now very happy to have picked up one before having to start working from home, it makes my home laptop setup easy.

I picked up this unassuming little device with the sole expectation of using the HDMI port (and accompanying conversion hardware) to expand my viewing platform to two screens while traveling by conscripting the obligatory hotel room TV, which are ALMOST universally flat screen & HDMI capable these days, into my arsenal.

This worked as expected which has been a huge win for me as I only carry a 11. 4 inch ChromeBook with me on the road; if it doesn’t fit in my standard sized, uber-optimized backpack it doesn’t go with me.

That leaves little room for creature comforts like secondary display devices of any useful dimension. I soon realized that what I had purchased was no simple HDMI adapter (although it IS very much that).

This device is the key to hardware expansion and general system-pimping capability when our devices and lifestyles demand an increasingly sleek, portable, and ultimately minimalist approach. My personal choice in portable computing provides me with exactly 3 orifices for input/output consideration: **A single USB-C port which is primarily intended for power supply but also performs as one would expect a USB port to.

**A standard USB Port (Again, all the usual included advantages which are admittedly plentiful) **A standard, solo SD Card Port. That’s it. If you demand any other IO options you’ll have to solder it to the motherboard directly and I have yet to locate a seam for which to gain access to the innards of this laptop incase I were to ever be desperate enough to go full Frankenstein and start welding components on.

Oh Yea! There IS a standard 3. 5mm Headphone Jack. So my device officially beats out the human body for number of useful holes but not by much. The HyperDrive 7-Port boasts the following options for pumping your stuff into or out of your devices (Step back ladies.

this thing came prepared to take it all): – 3 USB ports: 2 Standard 3. 1 (gen 1) pushing 5 Gb/s transfer rate with power pass through included on both and a single Thunderbolt USB-C port @ 60W for pass through power delivery and 6 Gb/s data transfer capacity.

– A Single HDMI port pumping 1080p @ 60 Hz all the way up thru 4k @ 30Hz -SD and Micro SD Card readers UHS-1 with 104MB/s transfer rate (Yea. almost obsolete in comparison with the transfer rate on those USB ports but the SD Card still has a place in our hearts and more importantly in our devices as the last type surviving the removable storage media wars.

If you have any operating system back-up volumes or photo/music/movie collections on CD, DVD, 3. 5″ Floppy or even Reel-To-Reel Magnetic Tape you would be smart to transfer them to SD Card or USB Thumb Drives; not only for all the benefits of solid-state digital storage but also in consideration of the disappearance of the bulky I/O hardware associated with our beloved but ageing storage methods of yesterday.

In many configurations the slender HyperDrive can cover up your devices headphone jack when connected to the required USB-C port so this is a nice, simple addition PLUS it adds a second point of contact to keep the HyperDrive even MORE securely anchored to your device.

Even with 2 of the 7 available ports being essentially copies of existing ports from your device it is obvious how many options are still afforded to you with the HyperDrive. Display upgrade or expansion is just what inspired me to grab this game changer.

Adding the HyperDrive graduates my device to a starring roll in almost ANY scenario by simply opening up my hardware profile to accept or dish out information in a way that was literally just not possible with it’s barebones I MEAN ummm, PORTABLE factory configuration.

The only problematic consideration when utilizing this device is keeping out of trouble because any component you can get access to in your hotel room, parents house, convention center, casino lobby.

When purchasing a MacBook, this is a must have purchase! I have never had any issues transporting information from my MacBook to USB drives. Not only is this tool reliable, it also has multiple USB ports to simultaneously save information to two different USB drives at the same time.

As a professional who uses my computer daily, this tool helps save time by not having to unplug and insert multiple USB drives. It also has a head phone port to be able to privately listen or talk to people on your computer.

I use this tool daily for the past two years, and have never had any issues.

This worst necessary computer accessory. This thing flops around and disconnects repeatedly during use. Its truly garbage and causes a lot of frustration when I am trying to get work done. I have to use an external hard drive for storage and the hyperdrive is constantly disconnecting/reconnecting while I am trying to save or move files.

I lose a significant amount of time with this because of it disconnecting often due to loose connections. That tiny little metal piece is how the port connects, that black piece in the photo looks like it stabilizes it but it doesn’t do anything with my macbook pro.

It is this little component that is making me leave Apple products until they bring back quality. I have loved Apple products for years but this choice to have a hyperdrive instead of ports, was a bad move that causes frustration and problems for people instead of making life more convenient.

My wife works from home and needs to have an extra display in addition to her laptop screen. We had just replaced her old laptop with a new ASUS Chromebook and realized we needed to use a hub since Chromebooks have very few ports on them.

I started researching and found that a lot of hubs won’t work for Chrome – even the expensive ones. After plowing through a lot of information, I discovered Hyper and read several reviews, leading me to purchase one.

Once it arrived, my wife hooked it into her Chromebook with an HDMI cable going to the extra monitor and everything worked perfectly. She also uses the hub for her wireless mouse receiver. This is a great product that works as advertised and saved me a bunch of money versus the competition.

I absolutely love my adapter. I had bought 2 or 3 cheaper adapters and they kept breaking. After months of frustration, I decided to do some research and see if there was a superior product. WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY.

I’ve had this adapter for a while now and it securely plugs in, stays connected, and steadily streams media. I can’t tell you how much you’ll appreciate spending the extra money for this superior product until you try it for yourself.

The 4-in-1 USB-C hub is very well-designed and looks modern, compact, and sleek. I am happy with it overall; however, the HTMI adapter seems to work intermittently with my external monitor. I am not sure if there is any compatibility issues.

The monitor worked just fine with my old laptop that that the built-in HTMI adapter. Unfortunately, the new macbook does not have that adapter any longer.

Great build quality, looks nice, works as intended. Silver color goes great with Asus and Lenovo computers of similar color. Great long warranty. Only downside is that it’s a little more expensive than if you bought something elsewhere online.

I saw some reviews saying it doesn’t provide sufficient power to certain high power devices, but keep in mind, it’s not a powered hub. It’s just a regular USB C to A hub. If you just need more USB A ports for simple peripherals like keyboard and mouse, and you have best buy credit or need it right away, this is your man.

Otherwise buy something cheaper online elsewhere.

The Targus USB adapter color almost perfectly matches my MacBook Pro in color which is a nice feature. The USB-C connection is very tight and secure which is a reassuring aspect, and makes me feel like it would be very hard for it to be accidentally unpluged.

The connection is tight enough that I would recommend grabbing on the metal part right behind the USB-C connection to unplug it, instead of grabbing onto the cable. The speeds of transfer are as expected for a USB-A connection.

I do like the form factor, and it is small enough that I throw it into my computer bag when I leave home so that I have USB-A connections. Overall I am very happy with this product and it has met my needs well.
